I love the implication with the whole "the Toy Solider as Jessica Law thing" that either:

A: The Mechs are a completely fictional band EXCEPT for the Toy Soilder

Or

B: The Mechs are/were a group of people each member of which is played by a different, separate person EXCEPT again for the Toy Solider

Before midnight, on this, the last day of Disability Pride Month, I’m gonna say happy Disability Pride Month to the Mechanisms (because I’m disabled and I can).

In my opinion, the fact that legitimately all of the Mechanisms are disabled, and most, if not all of them, are both mentally and physically disabled (like so many disabled people are!) is not talked about enough!

headcanon: angel absolutely knew that the toy soldier wasn't human (or atleast partially inorganic), in The Story of the Toy Soldier, it's illustrations show her holding its hand so I wouldn't say it's a complete stretch to think so.

my theory/HC is that she just, doesn't care, what she knows is that this wooden person is sentient in every way that matters (personality) and wants to be perceived as such so she 'plays along' (treats it with basic respect :')). alternatively she is just too drunk to care (hehe this wooden '''man'' thinks it's alive. good for it good for it...).

TS thinks it's being subtle because it rationalize that that's the only reason it would be treated as 'real'

There’s a character in the books called Nathan Nutcracker and I wanted to make a design for him because I think Cedar deserves a friend who can relate to her

#gave him white hair cause the nutcracker prince has a cotton beard I wasn’t brave enough to give him a beard #his outfit is meant to look like a scout uniform because I wanted it to have the same vibes as a soldier uniform but like younger #I have a headcanon that because nutcracker dolls aren’t really made to move around his movements are rigid and he’s not very articulated #cedar on the other hand has very fluid movement but has trouble balancing and staying upright because she’s a marionette made for strings #I wonder if nate was made a nutcracker or was a human transformed into a nutcracker like in the original story #cause I kinda get the vibe that it’s the former #little fun fact the nutcracker ballet is an adaptation of a novella-fairy tale #so even though he’s probably based on the ballet version he still fits the fairy tale theme #I’m pretty sure nate is supposed to be really small in the books but I forgot so he’s just a short king here #also I think he’d have a pet wind-up toy mouse called kingsley #rotomart #ever after high #eah #nathan nutcracker #nate nutcracker #cedar wood #eah nathan #eah nate #eah cedar #cedar ever after high #nate ever after high #nathan ever after high #also mouscedes cameo #pinocchio #the adventures of pinocchio #the nutcracker #the nutcracker and the mouse king #rotomart eah

Random realization, GPT and TS are the only Mechs who haven't directly intervened in an album story.

Jonny and Nastya rescued Briar Rose in OUATIS

Ashes was Hades in UDAD

Brian was Merlin in HNOC

Marius, Ivy, and Raphaella were there when the Ratatosk Express arrived in TBI

TS was there during GPT v TMK but I don't recall any sung story where GPT was the main meddling Mech.

ok so I'm reading Percy Jackson 4 (not listening to the audio book bc reading it is faster and idk if I can endure the narration again. I'll listen to it when I'm on the go somewhere or something.) Um. I know these are teenagers, but it seems like the romance came out of NOWHERE. Not the romance between Percy and Annabeth, I could see it coming (I guess), but I mean the ones with Clarisse and Chris and then Grover and Juniper. When the hell did that happen?
