Btw much as I love to make fun of twitter and reddit's business decisions, I have 0% trust in tumblr's management to not go a similar route so this is your gentle reminder that you should regularly go to your blog settings to export your blog. That's a fancy way of saying you can download a backup of your blog so if everything goes down you'll still have a backup of your posts & convos.

I love animals that are, like, the opposite of cryptids: we know for a fact they exist and have a clear idea of what they look like because we have photographs and individual specimens, but we haven’t the faintest idea where they’re coming from - they just keep showing up out of nowhere, and the locations of their actual population centres are a complete mystery.

So many TV shows/movies depict the Epi Pen as a total solution for anaphylaxis...it's not. The Epi Pen gives you 30 minutes to get to a hospital where they can save your life. TV makes it look like you just have to use the Epi Pen and then the crisis is over. Do people without allergies or a loved one with allergies know that an Epi Pen only buys you time? The more I see this on TV the more I worry...

So lately I’ve noticed all the different kinds of girls on tumblr. The ones that have the pictures with all the notes? These five types of girls are basically all the types of girls I see on my dash. Minus the nekked girls, but I didn’t really want to draw that so :T

It's important to me that everyone understands that if you've got an autistic friend who periodically sends you pictures/videos/whatever of your Thing, because they know you're into it... They love you.

Now don't get me wrong, It may not necessarily be romantic love, they might not want to run off to a little farm in Montana where you'll be married forever and raise little sheeps...

But they definitely love you. And they're so happy when they spot a post about X and go "ooh, my friend likes X! I'll send it to them!".

Because they love you and want you to be happy.

love isn't something that should have to be fucking earned

people love to talk about unconditional love but really you are not exercising it. no one is. you are subconsciously picking the conditions under which you'll give love to whichever person, all the time.

do you love the trannies that have never spoken on voice chats and have to use text? do you love the trannies who don't talk a lot in general? do you love the trannies who don't put out art, or don't make anything creatively, and generally just don't have any particular skills? do you love the trannies who've had nothing but traumatic experiences and only ever talk about those? do you love the trannies that talk about things that don't interest you? do you love the trannies that generally are just awful at conversation?

i could go on and on and give more examples. this ties into my other post about those of us that remain unseen by most of the people we surround ourselves with.

do you love the trannies you don't always see? are you even aware of them? do you even see any trannies at all?

or are you one of those people who say that *we* have to make the first move? or are you one of those people that treat us like some sort of intangible mythical concept? or are you one of those people who turn their nose up and back away when you see one of us in the flesh?
