The irony of saying #landback and “we live on stolen land” while condemning Israel’s existence is so strange.

You want land to go back to the natives - no matter how long ago the land was taken - unless it belongs to Jews. Then they can go F off.

And because you don’t have a reasonable defense for this weird combo of beliefs, you just deny the indigeneity of Jews altogether. This is something that can be proven with simple google searches and logic. Our ancient artifacts and structures are in the land, and our “origin stories” are largely about the land and us residing in it. Yet, you refuse to believe we are indigenous.

Even more funny is that you then argue Arabs are the real indigenous people to this land. Arabs are colonizers in the Middle East and North Africa. Arabic is a colonial language. They originated in the Arabian peninsula, and took over MENA countries. They had nationalist policies that largely eradicated the people and/or cultures already present in those lands. A lot of the people present were Jews, who were killed or driven out by pogroms.

Educate yourself for crying out loud.

Indigenous Hawaiians really had a good system going: wake up reaaally early and do most of the days work while it's cool and by the time the sun was up and it got hot the work was done and you're free to surf and socialize. around about this time last year the protests on parliament ended violently but god is the impact still visible. the whole month they blocked access to one of the two cafe bookstores run by the uni where you can grab a coffee/food, your textbooks and a bunch of other literature. they broke a window and glass door, meaning after they cleared out the cafe still had to wait to open and their overtaking of the main bus station and train station meant a lot of people (myself included) couldnt come into uni and had to buy our 1st trimester textbooks online.

the bookstore at the campus beside parliament and the bus station/train station shut some months ago. the one at my main campus up the hill will be gone in a month, with the loss of tri one sales being what put them under. so there will be no physical place you can buy textbooks in the city all because those fucking moron protestors who think having to get a vaccine is what communism and fascism is so students have to spend god knows how much more money shipping the books in from other cities/countries. and sure i graduate in a few months but my brother is here another 4 years! this city is already the most expensive place for students to live! like, fuck!!!

Barber is actually a genius

You see, when Barber wrote the reveal into IDW1 that Onyx Prime was actually Shockwave sent back in time orchestrating all of Cybertronian history, it was really a brilliant moment of in-universe plot events and metatextuality intersecting.

You see, in-universe, Shockwave’s goal for becoming Onyx Prime was to make all things ‘meaningless’ and to ‘destroy hope’ and to ‘serve as an agent of chaos’ by making all of Cybertronian history purely arising by his design.

And in the META sense, this is perfectly mirrored by the fact that the “Onyx Prime = Shockwave” reveal made Shockwave’s death in Dark Cybertron and even the entire story of IDW1 meaningless, destroyed my hope that exRID/OP would ever have emotionally satisfying writing, AND was a completely chaotic choice that came out of nowhere and completely blindsided me thinking that Shockwave logically died after being shot by Megatron and Optimus at once and then sucked into a black hole.

Truly John Barber is the absolute pinnacle of Transformers writing. Such a brilliant mixing of in-universe plot with meta themes that the readers feel directly is such AMAZING writing. A plot twist that you could NEVER see coming and that makes the story SO MEANINGFUL. A plot twist that gives characters AGENCY and that DEFINITELY makes a ton of sense. Such quality writing must be exactly why SO MANY PEOPLE talk about exRID/OP and how BRILLIANT the storytelling is ^w^

But as a community where Zionism is so socially and institutionally entrenched that the minority of dissenters are disowned and ostracized?

The global community of which only a handful of organisations openly advocate for Palestine, and even most of those paternalistic and co-opting Palestnian voices with liberal Zionist sympathies?

The western majority that institutionally benefits from white colonization and imperialism and silences its non-Jewish Black and brown critics?

The same majority that will never own their privilege or culpability or complicity in the colonial project before and after the Holocaust?

That helped the West exceptionalize it to cover up their exponentially larger and more enduring colonial crimes?

That distanced themselves from their white colonial privilege at the expense of BIPOC by insisting theirs was not a religious marginalization but a racial one, and continues to punish us for not treating them as racially oppressed?

Whose very demand to be automatically exonerated from the Palestinian genocide is reflective of their white and Western privilege?

That successfully broke the ties Jews of colour have to their own racial communities through Israeli ethnic cleansing and Zionist propaganda?

That uses JoC as shields, tokens and weapons against all the above charges?

The JoC that have purchased the privileges of Zionism and enfranchised themselves by betraying their own races?

The community that has used the charge of antisemitism to police Black and brown folks for decades, making it a knife against our necks?

I absolutely, 100% blame the global Jewish community.

The Global South will not forget. We will not forgive. All people with white skinned European descent are our oppressors. All people nourished on the teat of the imperial core are the foot soldiers of white supremacy, no matter what their race. We owe you no exoneration.
