The dead Arab kid survived, you clown, and she's specifically Bedouin, and she's Israeli.
Almost a quarter of Israelis are Arab.
A lot of Iran's missiles were shot down over the West Bank, which, gosh, let's see, is... mostly Arab!
Jordan had to shoot down a ton of Iranian rockets that were going to hit Jordan... which, wow, is entirely Arab!
It took the combined efforts of Israel and France and the U.S. and Jordan to keep the rest of Iran's hundreds of missiles and drones from killing any civilians.
Iran doesn't give a fuck who it kills. It just has some groups it likes killing on purpose, and some it doesn't mind killing by accident.
The clowniest part of this is probably the implication that the Iranian government isn't genocidal.
The fascist theocratic dictatorship that's been running Iran since the 1979 Iranian Revolution considers anyone who isn't Muslim to be worthy of death.
It has forcibly disappeared Baha'is, especially Baha'i spiritual leaders, in order to try them and execute them via firing squad. With others, it's tortured them under the threat of death if they don't convert to Islam on the spot.
Ironically -- since clueless Westerners act like, "the enemy of my enemy must be my friend!" -- Iran has put groups of Baha'is on trial for the crime of "spying and alleged links with Israel," in order to execute them.
Oh, yeah, and of course Iran also "exports genocidal terrorism against Israel and Jews, Syrian Sunnis and Kurds, Americans, and Christians. Iran is supplying lethal drones to Russia in support of Russia’s genocidal invasion of Ukraine.
"Iran is determined to develop nuclear weapons and missiles which it could use to carry out its genocidal intention to destroy Israel.... People [in Iran] who do not practice Shia Islam are subjected to arbitrary detention, torture, or execution."

This is so wrong it's almost painful.
Iran isn't trying to avoid Israeli civilians. Iran doesn't even care about its own civilians.
It cares so little about civilians that some of its missiles almost hit Jordan.
Not as in, "some landed near Israel's border with Jordan."
As in, "Jordan's air force had to shoot down Iran's missiles before they hit anybody in Jordan."
Iran tried to fire 120 ballistic missiles at Israel. Of those, HALF either failed upon launch, or crashed mid-flight.
As in, before they got to Israel.
The reason you don't see any damage in the pic above is that Israel has a three-tier missile defense system.
That system, and their air force, took down 99% of the 300 ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones Iran fired that actually made it to Israel.
Iran did manage to lightly hit a military base that they said was their primary target!
They also managed to seriously injure a seven-year-old Bedouin who's now in intensive care!
She got hit with falling shrapnel from a drone getting shot down.
Which means that if it had hit its intended target, it probably would have injured and killed a lot more Bedouin civilians.
I saw a Palestinian video on Twitter of Iran's rockets being shot down over the Al-Aqsa Mosque, in Jerusalem. While Palestinians demanded to know why they were being fired at in the first place.
The reason Israel has a three-tier missile defense system -- and a building code that requires safe rooms, which are basically indoor bomb shelters -- is that Hamas, Hezbollah, and Palestine Islamic Jihad collectively, have fired rockets near-constantly at Israeli civilian targets for over twenty years.
The fact that Iran has funded and trained Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and all their friends, might finally explain why SO MANY of Hamas's rockets misfire and injure or kill civilians in Gaza!
To give just one example: Hamas fired relatively few rockets at Israel in 2022. I mean, okay, they fired 1,179. But it was over the course of only two months. That might be a record low year.
Nevertheless, six of those rockets misfired in a way that hit Gaza, killing 11 Palestinian civilians across three of the attacks.
So, no.
This is not a photo of Iran either doing good, or doing well.

Of course, when people say "Nobody would say [this] about a different group!" they're basically always wrong. People say roughly equivalent fucked up shit about most minorities.
Usually what people mean is "The specific people saying this would realize that it was fucked up if it were about a different group."

All of the numbers are also inflated.
They claim 6,000 extra deaths. They don't distinguish civilian deaths, which are much lower.
Even Al Jazeera, which is firmly pro-Hamas, owned by the Qatari monarchy, and has a habit of reporting hearsay and never correcting it, says 62% of homes in Gaza have been destroyed, not 70%.
Regardless of what that number is, protests should be demanding that Israel commit to helping pay to rebuild!
They have a real voice. They could be signal boosting the actual needs in Gaza and the actual voices of activists in Gaza.
But they seem to have no actual demands of Israel anymore. Even calls for a ceasefire are being replaced by demands that their universities "divest" from anything culturally or academically linked to Israel. No student exchange programs, no dual enrollment or transfer programs, no Israeli speakers or visiting professors. Et cetera.
This is part of the BDS movement, which, ironically, was founded and is run by Omar Barghouti, who grew up in Egypt, studied at Columbia University -- which has a dual degree program with Tel Aviv University -- and then married an Israeli Arab woman and moved to Israel, where he got his masters and Ph.D. at Tel Aviv University.
All of this is from his Wikipedia page. The irony is almost painful. Supporting cultural and academic divestment from Israel means participating in a demand, a movement, created by an Israeli university student.
You could call it harm reduction, sure. But then you'd have to be able to articulate what the harm is in... having literally anyone, regardless of their work or views, go to Israel or come talk to you from Israel.
Professors have had a lot of concerns about how this idea would impact academic freedom, which is the bedrock concept that higher education is built upon.
'White phosphorus' is based on the assumption that it's only used to burn people like napalm. But if you detonate it high in the air it can be safely used to create a smokescreen, because the pieces stop burning way before they reach the ground; there are some good explanations here.
Land destroyed...?? This is a metaphor. I have come to hate metaphors in activism, over the past six months. Because the way they're consistently used is to wildly overstate what's happening, in a way people will believe, so that they join you.
If my city were bombed, yes, I probably would say the land was being destroyed. And then we would rebuild on that non-destroyed land, because it was a metaphor.
The problem I have with it here is that you cannot say Israel is committing genocide to take the land AND say it's destroyed the same land.
Both of those are extraordinary claims that require extraordinary evidence -- not defensive statements about how if you don't believe them, you deserve to die. And also, the extraordinary evidence for one will contradict the other.
Russia pursued a scorched-earth policy against the Nazis -- destroying their own land -- to stop them from killing everyone they could and taking the land. The Nazis killed millions of Soviet soldiers, and had already invaded and taken many countries; they were absolutely, openly trying to do that there too.
Also, I know this is silly in light of the appropriation of the entire seder, but THE ORANGE ON THE SEDER PLATE IS FOR LESBIANS, GODDAMNIT.
The charoset makes sense, because mortar = buildings = homes. They could have left the orange separate! They could have used it to shout out Queers for Palestine, even. But noooo. We're just putting the fruit all together! Bah! Humbug!
This shit is so hilarious I had to reactivate this blog just to share it:

Um
I think tagging jumblr in on this one was a good idea. but personally all I got is "holllleeee shit what the fuck is anon referring to"
I mean I'm not at all gonna rule out "anon wrote this half-asleep in the middle of the night after waking up from a nightmare while also extremely balls-out high, and is just unintentionally letting out some of the incredibly antisemitic propaganda they have been chugging"
I googled it several different ways, thinking that maybe the alt-right had stormed a campus. But all I could find was one piece about them joining campus protests in the fall. And a lot of 2017 pieces about their rallies and campus counterprotests
Crazy how when there’s an instance of ‘antisemitism’ in a protest against Zionist dogs committing genocide it’s front page news that deserves the state troopers showing up to campuses with snipers on the roof but when fucking nazis storm our campuses telling us that they’re gonna gas us dirty kikes and rape our women it’s apparently not worth calling in more than a handful of the same pigs who’d probably be joining those cunts if they were off duty.
Crazy how that works.
..could i have a shred of context, mayhaps?

YESSSS. The way I described it to my kid was a big giant frog that hit the ground and exploded into a ton of regular frogs. But the Minecraft way just makes sense 🤣
I follow a lot of jewish accounts on here and i kinda love the "is it one big frog or a bunch of little frogs". Im not Jewish so i don't really have a stake in the game but i think it would be amusing if it was one big frog that slowly separated into a bunch of little frogs like a slime in minecraft
omg this is a good one.

Please, PLEASE do not call Hamas "the resistance."
Yes, it calls itself and its affiiated groups (PIJ, PFLP, etc) "the Palestinian resistance." But the people of Gaza (and Amnesty International, and the U.N., and lots of other human rights groups) have been extremely clear that Hamas is absolutely brutal to actual Palestinian activists.
Here's one essay by Hamza Howidy about what his life was like under Hamas, the "We Want to Live" movement he helped organize, and how he finally left Gaza last August after being imprisoned and tortured again.
Anyway: The source given for the crying baby quadcopters, in the notes, is Euro-Med Health Monitor. And TL;DR: The comparison between the two recordings seems cartoonishly ridiculous because it's not happening.
Information from Euro-Med Health Monitor has been HEAVILY debunked. So many times that its inaccuracies seem intentional.
This is the same source that started the recent rumor that Israel was trafficking the organs of dead Palestinians, which there is zero evidence for.
I tried to find a reputable source for the crying baby quadcopters. The only sources that mention it cite Euro-Med Health Monitor, and all of them are pretty unreliable.
Many of them had also run stories that repeated the organization's organ trafficking allegations. No fact-checking, no interviews, just believing and repeating it.
The same thing is happening here: about 5-7 news sources are just repeating what Euro-Med Health Monitor said. None of the other news sources that constantly monitor and report on Israel/Gaza seem to have even heard of it.
I also couldn't even find one source saying that Hamas plays recordings of laughing children. And I tried searching it a bunch of different ways. If anyone has a source for that, please let me know!
It's also worth noting that the Euro-Med Health Monitor says the crying baby quadcopter resulted in about ten people being wounded and taken to the hospital, and one being shot in the head.
This doesn't make sense with the laughing children narrative - or even with the crying baby one, really.
If this shows that "it is, and always has been, a genocide;" that Israel could only be targeting civilians with this, because Hamas members would never come see why a baby was crying or a woman was yelling for help (even though the story says the quadcopters also played the sounds of explosives)... why the hell would they go to that level of bizarre effort to kill one person?
Why would drones have injured ten times as many people? Honestly, why would they even bother with any of that if they weren't trying to lure out specific people? Why would they not just bomb the camp until nobody was left?
Russia killed 75,000 civilians in three months, just in one city. It doesn't make sense that Israel is sitting around playing like it's in an especially violent and fucked-up Wile E. Coyote cartoon, if it's trying to kill 2,300,000 people.
Israel has deployed auto-firing quadcopters that emit the sounds of crying babies.

There is no possible reality where this is in any way capable of being passed off as self-defense. It was never self-defense. It is, and always has been, a genocide.
Crying babies. Crying babies. This is, beyond a shadow of a doubt, meant to draw out and kill civilians while also making it far more difficult to locate and aid children who are trapped or alone.
If you have money to spare, please consider donating to some of the fundraisers on Operation Olive Branch to help people escape this genocide.
End the occupation. Free Palestine.
