In the grip of oppression, a Palestinian child is detained for daring to dream of freedom of his own land, while oceans away, an American student is shackled for standing in solidarity with Palestinians and against the Israeli occupation.
From occupied Palestinian streets to the land of the free, voices for justice are silenced by those wielding the same coin of terror—a terror called Zionism.
Jonathan Glazer’s speech was brave and heartfelt, and at the biggest moment of his career. Thank you to him and to all of our Jewish brothers, sisters and siblings who are putting their careers and relationships on the line for the truth. Your voice is so important.
This is a really interesting analogy video on Gaza by Egyptian media figure Joe Hussen. It’s about 8 minutes long but I really recommend it.
I’ve mentioned before that the west only sees what’s going on in Palestine through a small window, because of bias, manipulation, and the simple fact that much of the news isn’t translated into English.
I hope this video gives you something to think about.
Just an unpopular opinion from my own experience , it sounds silly but i find it important.
Ever since i started boycotting (specifically october) i have been so much better in a lot of ways , first , i saved some pocket money from the snacks i used to buy , because they were expensive and high quality (like Candia and danette) that used to cause me some health issues like things concerning my weight and pain , and i was able to buy my own country's products , far cheaper , FAR more natural , helps our economy , AND are so tasty !!
Second , i've been seeing so many people around me finally starting to boycott and even ask the sellers to warn the buyers about products like coca cola , nestle...etc , and i have never been happier , i am PROUD and SO PROUD to be in a country that will never have ties with the Zionists , never.
And last , yes , your voice matters, yes , stopping from buying ur favourite zionist supporter product won't kill you , so please , never forget about palestine🇵🇸🇵🇸💕.
One of my best friends got married at the weekend and his closing words of his speech were “Free Palestine”, and I’ve been thinking about that a lot. Even on his wedding day, one of the happiest days of his life, a day that should be all about him and his bride, that isn’t the only thing on his mind. It can’t be. We’re all thinking about Palestine and the genocide of its people all the time.
All day I’m checking in on the journalists I follow in Gaza, my stomach in a knot until I see they’ve posted again today and they’re at least still alive, but then my heart broken to see what cruel injustice they’re showing us today. All of us with any scrap of humanity are behind Palestine, and passionately, even if the people meant to represent us are reticent or even adamantly refusing to actually represent our wishes. My friends and I are Irish, so we’ve grown up surrounded by pro-Palestine support: it’s huge here and always has been and our government is one of the ~better~ ones in this regard, but this isn’t unique to countries who are politically pro-Palestine. World-wide, I see rallies, protests, demonstrations, from huge crowds of regular people, even in countries whose policies and governments are deeply on the wrong side of history. Those regular people are what I think we should pay attention to.
Don’t lose heart. Don’t give up on Palestinians. Keep following them, keep listening to them, keep supporting them. Keep up the rallies, keep fighting, keep talking. It can be discouraging to see so few governments doing anything about this and news stories misrepresenting the facts, but don’t fall into thinking that nobody cares or give up. I believe people care. Regular people care. It may not be everyone, and it may not be the majority of the people in power, but I believe there are enough of us to help; we can pressure the people in power to listen if we’re loud enough and determined enough, and every single person saved from these atrocities would be worth the world. This is a dire situation. This is urgent. But it’s not over.
There is evil being done in the world but there is decency in humanity and hope is not lost. From the river to the sea, Palestine MUST be free.
🇵🇸 #Palestine - 🇮🇱 #Israel: The UN has demanded an independent investigation take place after mass graves were discovered at Gaza’s Nasser and Al Shifa hospitals. A mass grave of at least 324 bodies was discovered at Nasser after the withdrawal of Israeli troops, with 381 discovered at Al Shifa.
Gaza’s government office has blamed Israeli forces for the graves, presenting evidence that some of the bodies discovered had their hands tied behind their backs. Israel has since denied this, claiming they only examined bodies in the graves in an attempt to locate hostages.
Israel using US ammunition from the Korean war Haaretz reports that Israeli forces have been employing surplus ammunition from the US Korean War era (1950–1953) in Gaza in the indiscriminate bombing of the strip.
Whites and their liberal bootlickers are an infection. The settler is the colonizer is the genocider. Rejecting the most brutal form of direct violence means nothing when you refuse to divest from the structures created to accommodate you by invading and occupying them.
A settler's very existence is violent because they cannot exist without the colonial power that protects them. The only way to make it NOT violent is by dismantling the colonial power. Until then, your job is either to fucking leave, or work on educating yourself, amplifying the voices of the colonized, and accepting that armed resistance is a consequence of your existence. Holding placards over your head and yelling a lot at the people propagating and safeguarding the status quo that you benefit from doesn't merit you extra cookies anymore than accepting the softest punishment from a carceral system designed to torture the colonized to the point of death.
And if that makes you ask yourself "But...but I'm a settler! I'm white privileged! Does that mean MY existence is inherently violent to—" yes. It is. Take your unthreatened, unterrorized self to your whole and unbombed house with power and water and heat and food and your intact family, sit your ass down with the tub of ice cream you can afford and cry into it.
“There is no middle ground anymore. There is no way of supporting the liberal occupier, the progressive ethnic cleanser and the leftist genocider.”
