Thank you for answering! I think their dynamic is fascinating on a number of levels, and there are a few times when I've had to say "Yoooo???" like when tc reminds himself to get/give dibble a valentine, or when he gives him flowers (the movie). I think the series could've used more cat-human humour too; I'd love to see TC jealous of dibble dealing with another cat or something
It’s hilarious to imagine if Dibble were to be transferred to another precinct or city or something, T.C would be super excited at first - finally, no one messing up his schemes.
But soon he'd start to really miss Dibble, and decide to go visit him. Then when he'd see that Dibble has this whole new life and is best friends with the local cats there he'd be the most betrayed scorned cat you've ever seen. Remember this video?

If you're offering more questions, I'll gladly ask! One that's been on my mind is wondering if TC and dibble will have a proper reconciliation of trust. It's clear TC is heavily conflicted for rather obvious reasons. In my head, the two are besties (not including the rest of the gang - I see them as his 'family' in essence) but would never admit that out loud for the sake of their pride
Oh yes, T.C has a world of reasons why he doesn’t trust the police, and he knows that in spite of Dibble’s kindness, he’s a part of a cold, unfeeling system that’s bigger than him.
Dibble knows T.C values him as an individual, but won’t separate the Individual from the Institution. Which is another problem, because Dibble has the flaw of defining his worth through his job. Very unlike T.C, who believes everyone has intrinsic value no matter what their position in life is.
Dibble is genuinely a clean person and T.C knows it, but ultimately he’s the arm/weapon of an uncompromising system that in itself contains corruption. And although he can’t imagine himself ever getting roped into anything dirty, Top Cat knows that even Dibble can find himself a part of something he never intended.
T.C trusts Dibble, the person (though he’s too prideful to say it). He doesn’t trust Dibble, the Cog in the Machine.
On another note..sorry if I bored everyone but how many times have I said their dynamic is *chef’s kiss*
and although I have nooooo idea if the series writers intended all that cat-owner humor dispersed over the episodes, it’s either a happy coincidence, pure genius, or I’m looking too much into it XD
Keeping that in mind, T.C and Dibble’s dynamic is always the funniest thing in the world to me because we have a timeless proverb in Egypt:
القط ما يحبش إلا خناقه
Translation: The cat loves only the person who chokes/restrains him.

Hi again uhh I'm taking the chance to ask more about Brain's kittenhood because it seems like he was an orphan/abandoned?
And genuinely tysm for being cool I absolutely love seeing other people's interpretations of the lads 🙏

My headcanon is that Brain was lost or abandoned when he was very tiny, and no one knows who his parents are. His kittenhood was very rough and he was alone and very neglected for most of it. He tried to fend for himself, and sometimes kind people helped him. But other times things got so bad he would be severely malnourished, and was so small for his age that the bigger rats hurt him.
Early into his teenage years, he was picked up by a moving circus, and that was the first time he had a degree of ‘stability’ in his life. His environment wasnt all that great though; it was toxic, and the ring leader especially was an asshole. Brain was mostly left to be trained by the aerialists, and occasionally joined in their acts and wasnt too bad at it.
It was only after he joined T.C’s gang that he got a taste of a more positive family dynamic and the concept of unconditional love. He learned that it wasn’t only when he did a good job that he deserved food, and that he didn’t need to get punished for messing up anything.

Oooh, I have questions! The first is that I predict things are going to go downhill fast, how accurate would this be? Second; do you know how many chapters the fic will have? Third; any plans/ideas for a potential sequel? (you don't have to answer them all!)
Gotta keep everyone guessing 😈🙃. Things will improve for a bit, then go downhill fast. Several characters will need a hospital. Hmmm or a casket.
I’m halfway done with rewriting 7.5. This was one of the chapters I’ve wanted to rewrite for YEARS because it’s actually more important to the story’s plot and themes than people think. But my writing wasn’t as good back then as it is today and when I wrote the first version I was in a rush.
So freaking finally, years later im making the necessary edits and incorporating it into the narrative. Now that I think about it, I think many people reading the new version will feel as if they’re reading a new chapter. (kinda. A bit)
Chapter 12’s outline is already done, but still needs plenty of editing, fleshing out and, you know, conversations. Does anyone have any theories where Choo-Choo is?
With how the story’s going, I’d say that the story can’t end before chapter 14..so if it does end at 14 that makes the story 15 chapters in total. But it might end up longer. I mean CGaL was originally going to be 10 chapters but as you know that was impossible.
So far there’s no plan for a sequel I’m just concerned with finishing this story because its delay is driving me nuts 😂

Will my boy Brain have a bigger role in the story? And do you have any headcanons about him?
Personally I think he really likes peanuts/peanut butter :3

I also think Brain can eat the spiciest food in the world without breaking a sweat. He has a very high tolerance level.
I feel like this is canon not just headcanon, but brain is better with numbers than the rest on the gang. T.C wouldn’t put him on the books if it weren’t the case.
Also brain absolutely hates seeing any of the gang fight.
He’s kind of jittery and uncomfortable around mice and other small, scurrying creatures.
I’m still on the fence regarding how dangerous things can get for our boy Brain coz there has to be a believable situation where T.C would even allow him to get involved with G.P. in any way. I mean, in the Unscratchables episode, he left Brain behind and although it’s framed as a haha moment I saw it as T.C being pragmatic. First of all, the less cats he has to keep an eye on, the better. Second they’re off to face a dangerous, armed gang and there’s a lot that could go wrong and Brain might get hurt or not move fast enough.

I’m here to remind you all that since the Zionist occupation’s genocide against Palestinians starting Oct 8, the IOF has taken more than 12,000 Palestinians hostage.
More than twelve. Thousand. ‘Khamas’ has around 130.
These people - many of which are children and minors - were taken without charge. They will not get a fair trail, and will face the most horrific of torture in Israeli prisons. That’s not to mentions some will die of abuse, torture-induced injury and neglect if this malignant tumor of a settler colony isn’t stopped soon.
It blows my mind that for 6 ENDLESS MONTHS, the world just watched and did absolutely nothing of note. It’s as if they don’t understand that what Zionists do to Palestinians will have consequences for ALL of us. When you stand by and allow such atrocities to happen, you’re only inviting them to happen to you, eventually.
