We wandered through downtown [Denver] for about half an hour, though I wasn't sure what Annabeth was looking for. The air was dry and hot, which felt weird after the humidity of St. Louis. Everywhere we turned, the Rocky Mountains seemed to be staring at me, like a tidal wave about to crash into the city.
...Percy, honey, you can't see the Rocky Mountains if you're walking in downtown Denver. Lots of tall buildings and sky, sure, but the Rockies are too far away to see from downtown unless you're high up in a building. You start to see them when you move out of downtown, but they're still fairly distant compared to the mountains in the western part of Colorado.
Source: Been there personally. Lots of times. Used to live in the area.

“She thought of the library, so shining white and new; the rows and rows of unread books; the bliss of unhurried sojourns there and of going out to a restaurant, alone, to eat.”

Here’s where I got a wave of inspiration for my story lol I was thinking about my main character, Zoya, and just knowing how long she’d stay at a shop like this and geek out
I love it when you just wander around a place, entering different alleys and taking random turns at random streets and then you stumble upon something really cool
Ofc I had to take a photo here, like c’mon

The Enchanting Tale of the Duncan Loft: Where Bricks Curve and Ghosts Smile
Eleanor’s Enchantment: A Magical Lesson in Kindness at the Duncan Loft
A Tale of Real Estate and Redemption in Downtown Los Angeles
