Fans of The Owl House, does anyone else have this question or better yet the answer?

(Sorry for any spelling or grammar mistakes.)

(Also possible spoilers for The Owl House)

Okay, so pretty much everyone knows that Eda is Caleb and Evenlyn's descendant. But I still have a question:

Which one of Eda's parents is the descendant of Caleb and Evelyn?

I think I saw a canon drawing of Evelyn on The Owl House Wiki and she seemed to have a similar hair color and hairstyle to Gwendolyn. That and their names are very similar, just like how Eda's full name, Edalyn, is similar to Evenlyn's.

But Dell has a palisman that looks very similar to Caleb and Hunter's original palisman, Flapjack. Dell's outfit in Eda's flashback looks a tiny bit similar to outfits people wore during Caleb and Philip's time, and he wore his hair in a ponytail that looked similar to Caleb and Philip's. However, I will admit that could just be a coincidence. Dell was also known for carving palisman, and maybe I'm wrong, but I think that was implied to be something his family did for centuries, and Hunter later learned to carve palisman, which I think implies that is something Caleb did or wanted to do.

So which one of them is the descendant of Evelyn and Caleb?

Is it obvious who it is, and I'm just too stupid to figure it out? Or do other people have this question?

Does anyone have the answer? If so can you tell me?

I've seen a lot of discussion about why Belos makes the Grimwalkers. Mostly because there is no logical reason why he makes them. The man has the entirety of the Boiling Isles wrapped around his fingers, a private army big enough to subjugate anyone who stands up to him, and the charisma/intelligence to manipulate the most powerful witches on the Isles to work for him. Why would he waste rare and valuable resources on something that betrays him in every iteration of its existence?

The only answer left is that creating the Grimwalkers is an emotional decision, one he makes because of his guilt surrounding Caleb. A lot of what we know is circumstantial evidence from Hollow Mind, but its heavily implied that Phillip loved Caleb. He was his brother, his only link to the human realm, and when Caleb made a life for himself in the Boiling Isles (if you believe the Clawthorne theory), Phillip's poor little puritan brain couldn't wrap his head around why Caleb would "betray" him, so in a fit of rage (calculated or otherwise), Phillip murders him.

This was Phillip's point of no return, he couldn't open his mind like Caleb had, because if he did, he would have to face the fact that he MURDERED his BROTHER. So this genius of a man decides to double, triple, and quadruple down on his Puritan beliefs, and gives himself the task of eliminating every witch in the Boiling Isles. And he pursues it so relentlessly over so many years that he's barely human anymore.

But here's the thing. Belos is a smart man. Like, smart enough to manipulate a whole damn continent into believing he's the next coming of Jesus. He knows what he did to himself and his brother, and regardless of whether or not he'd do it anyway (because lets be real, he totally would), there must be some part of him that feels guilty over the path he took to accomplish his goals. Thus, the Grimwalkers. While they're alive, they're versions of his brother he can control and manipulate to his will. When they inevitably betray him, they're validation that Belos DID pick the right path. That Caleb would always betray him, and he was right to kill him. And thus, his resentment of Caleb grows and grows with every Grimwalker he makes then kills, but he can't stop himself because he NEEDS to prove it to himself time after time that he made the right choice.

In conclusion, this dude is FUCKED UP.

i cannot express how much i believe that caleb is still a celebrated clawthorne family member. like i don’t care how many generations back you think caleb is, witterwife definitely told her child all about their father and in turn they told their children and so on and so forth until king even knows caleb’s story. lilith and eda can repeat it from memory.

Imagine being Eda here.
