This is the sequel to the 2020 movie The Christmas House.

We saw a lot more of Brandon and Jake in this one, which was one of my issues with the first movie, they were kinda in the background, in this one they were more of a main focus along side the Christmas house challenge.

Because it's a Christmas movie it's cheesy and cliche and ridiculous at times, but we deserve to have these types of movies like straight people have had for a hundred years.

This has a gay couple raising children in a Hallmark Christmas movie, which I don't believe we'd gotten before this.

Jonathan Bennett is also in a new Hallmark Christmas movie 'The Holiday Sitter' which has a gay couple as the main romance and focus of the movie while Jonathan's character is babysitting his niece and nephew, I haven't seen it yet though.

We're slowly getting there everybody!

Sunday sounds: Third Advent Gaudete Sunday - Joy

This severely traffic jammed Sunday may be plagued with hustle, bustle and the final scramble to Christmas, but it is time to light the pink Shepherds' Candle.

These Most Humble of Them All were also the first to be told something that forever changed our hearts and minds, and immediately sent them on the road to Bethlehem:

'And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.' (Luke, 2:10-12).

Despite and sometimes even against anything else, this Sunday is about an overwhelming, definitive feeling of Joy:

We do not need complicated words to describe what we think or feel on this particular day. This is why, and rather uncharacteristically, I have chosen John Rutter's deceptively simple and modern tune. It closely resonates with John Betjeman's Christmas poem - and I could never resist Betjeman:

Especially the little part where you mentioned Miche wouldn't actually let Sasha go off for potatoes in a a storm, and somehow now in my head I've build a whole story about how he takes her under his wing when she's a cadet and she gets paired with him and his team and between his nose and her hearing they are unstoppable! And then during some rare time off she invites him to her place and Miche and Mr Braus get along great and Miche loves all the younger kids and watching Sasha be a big sis, and maybe later Sasha and Miche go off hunting together and at some point he gives her hair ruffles and says good job and it makes her feel good because as a cadet she doesn't hear it a lot cause there is no time for praise...

I think Levi really would like cats. Chances are he didn't have any pets and a scrawny looking cat just showed up in his yard and Levis like "this is not your house, I am not your owner, leave!" And it became daily and the cat, of course, didn't care. Levi would come home from work and kitty would be sitting on his porch like it was waiting for him. So of course little by little it worked his way into Levis heart, and now, say hi to Scout!

Also maybe a small fish tank with a few low maintenance inhabitants.

And Jean? As a kid he had smaller critters like guinea pigs. Like, a lot, because he didn't realize to separate them... then one day Mrs Kirstein found not 2 but 12 and almost fell over!

And Jean cried that day because 12 turned into...1, and he had to choose! Thankfully the others were given away to friends and Mrs Kirstein told those parents who took 2 to keep them separate!

As an adult he's got doggies! He starts out with a yellow lab mix, he's not sure what the other breed is but it acts like a lab and loves going running with him and to the beach!

Oh man! This question?!

Thanksgiving goes to Jean or Erwin. It's a big food day and they make most the main dishes and everyone else brings smaller sides or desserts. They don't mind the large crowd and spend most the time serving before someone finally tells them to sit down!

Hange or Connie/Sasha get Halloween, for sure! Oh man, decorations all over, horror movies playing, themed snacks like ghost cookies or witch cupcakes. It would be fun if they'd stop trying to scare me!

Christmas, Historia or...Levi! Yep, our cranky Captain decks the halls and has a simple decorated tree up and invites everyone over. They would have hot chocolate and candy canes and some small baked items. There'd be thoughtful gifts that you'd expect from Historia but maybe not from Levi, but it lets you know he's been listening to you when he gets you something special.

Historia might try to pull out matching sweaters and socks as well. And I feel like after a bit of eggnog they'd both also let people know once it's late that they're welcome to stay the night for everyone's safety.

Same for Eren during his New Years get together, his home is available for anyone who can't drive themselves.

Armin or Mikasa get Easter brunch! It's a sweet get together with everyone bringing a dish and them providing a couple things including a fancy Easter themed mimosa cocktail.

And Miche gets the cookout days like Labor Day or Independence Day, and yells at anyone trying to shoot off the loud noise makers :)

3 Whom would you go to for the following - Love advice, Life advice and Career advice

I'm going to stick to the vets on this one!

Love advice, Erwin (surprised?) because he's basically the only one who potentially had a love life! I would ask why he made the decisions and if he would've done anything different. And modern he'd be so romantic there's no way I don't go to him!

Life advice, probably Levi. He's been through a lot and has come out of it, while a little worse for wear, mostly in one piece.

Career advice, I'm going to Nanaba! I think she's got a level head and will help steer me in a good direction and talk about all aspects of the decision.

Wow those were hard and long...no that isn't supposed to be dirty LMAO!

The Christmas House 2: Deck Those Halls

When all things Christmas was being announced, I was so excited to hear about another Christmas House movie and even more so when the plot was released. Now this movie was simply chaotic but in a great way. Plus the movie, yet again, did a solid job of having the mix of humor and emotion. It even had more of an adult feel to it, even with the cheesy and fun humor thrown in. First off, Mike and Brandon competing was ridiculously funny. But, far as Mike, I loved him trying to feel more apart of Andi and Noah’s family once Andi’s ex husband Zane came to town. For Brandon, it was great seeing his struggle of always being in his famous brothers shadow and growing up having everyone around him prefer Mike to him. Both of those mini side stories brought the more relatable and emotional side to the movie and gave both of those character that much depth. Plus the idea of the interviews through out just made the film more unique. Of course I was happy to see to see the next step happen for Mike and Andi. That alone could maybe bring about a third movie? Fingers crossed! Then there was seeing Brandon and Jake with their two kids and having their family which was so insanely sweet. Then of course Bill and Phyllis who were trying to do their own thing with their play. Everything just worked so well together. Cast wise, it was great seeing the main cast back together and it still feeling like an ensemble.

Rating: 3 - Just like the first, it did not disappoint. It had everything the first more did with the emotion, humor and heart.
