finally finished extended version of my L&Co designs, based on their book descriptions! it took months, but im happy with the results

Lockwood reread commentary pt. 2:

Now that I’m closer to Kipps’ age than Lucy’s, I find the idea of him at 20-22ish having to babysit manage a team of roughly 15-17 year olds kind of hilarious. He’s really just a young adult trying to figure out his life and then there’s this team of grimy children pulling insane stunts and roasting him at every turn. But at the same time he’s the closest thing to an adult they’ll trust and they’re also his only friends so he has to stick around and try to keep them alive.

Lockwood & co: *does something outrageously illegal*

Quill Kipps, old enough to have a consciousness: this is fine

Can I mention the brilliance the RF Kuang did with Robin Swift’s name? No, not “Robin Swift,” but his original one. We’ll never know what his original name was. I was waiting, all 500+ pages, and on the last one with Robin’s POV, we get nothing.

But he gets his name back. After all his suffering, I’m inclined to believe that he deserves it.

I feel like it is a very important addition to canon that Quill Kipps not only bakes but takes the time and effort to make a decorative crust on his pies.

every time i see "Ed asks Lucius to write down his lyrics" used as an argument for claiming that Ed can't write i just want to. you know. point out that Stede has Lucius write down everything he says?? and does?? all the time?? and when he can't find Lucius he asks Frenchie (who actually cannot write) to do it instead of just writing it himself. and we know Stede can write. it's got nothing to do with ability to write, just that the captains don't seem to want to write stuff themselves when they have an employee whose job is to do that exact thing for them

I thought that the Lockwood and Co. fandom was pretty small here on this site but then I see Quill Kipps wiping the floor on the tumblr favorite character bracket and suddenly I have to reconsider my worldview
