swifties think miss taylor is a underrated punk artist while simultaneously proclaiming she is the music industry and is the biggest bestest artist/singer/songwriter of all time. they are not well
right like my problem isnt with taylor herself or the fact that she exists or is successful like. happy for her. my personal annoyance comes from everyone treating her like she’s somehow both a pariah AND savior of the music industry like she just writes vanilla radio pop. if you want music with lyrics that makes you feel like your face is stapled to the carpet (compliment) Mitski is right there.

i'm sorry for reblogging i/p stuff i'm just. it didn't feel right to reblog something abt it and just not mention the hospital that just got bombed. i'm not going to pretend to understand everything going on right now as an american but i feel genuinely sick to my stomach. killing refugees and innocent civilians is downright fucking evil. it was evil a week ago and it's evil now. it will always be evil. i'm praying for everyone's safety and seeing what i can do from where i am.

Sandman’s maze…
Buckle in listener, this one’s going to be confusing. Sandman’s maze, also known as the maze of nightmares, the dreaming rooms, the labryth of infinite torments, etc, etc, is basically what it sounds like; it’s rooms upon rooms of strange situations that have the same lack of reason as a dream does: being in a library when suddenly the roof is gone and there’s a clown throwing grenades; entering an empty public bathroom where all the stalls lead to you dying horribly in the sewer, and the only way to leave safely is to eat an apple slice found on the table behind the original door and walking through a painting; walking into a dining room with a table piled high with fried chicken and French fries, and seeing the chef watch on as people find themselves unable to stop eating before their stomachs pop like a balloon, covering the room with half digested food and stomach acid before it is magically cleaned up in the blink of an eye; walking into an indoor pool that you have to swim across to the next door, only to feel your insides getting heavier until they drag you to the bottom of the water like stone; various other nonsense, i’m sure you get the point.
When you die in the maze; you get reset, and transported to a randomly selected room within the maze. When you get reset you will find yourself changed… with each death, you notice that you have begun to shift to fit the space… with every dream, and every nightmare, you will be given a souvenir of sorts… take the indoor pool room for example; after you die in that room and reset, you will find yourself covered in iron chains, wearing iron shoes, and pumping blood with an iron heart… you will never be able to swim again, sinking to the bottom each time you try… you will alter mentally too, the constant repeats will change and twist your mind… until you change too much, and you find that you are no longer yourself… you will become a part of the maze; another room, another monster…
There is no one way to end up there, some people walk into a room or building only to find themselves somewhere else, some people get there in a freak accident, some people just don’t wake up. Those who arrive via coma, the most common way, of course think they just saw hell; but it’s just one of the rooms. If you arrive via some kind of clipping through worlds; you will eventually become a cold case as you, quite literally, vanish off the face of the earth.
thankfully one of the people who found herself in Sandman’s Maze was able to find, and guide the others to, the end of the maze; and beat the shit out of the literal clown in charge. Her name is Zen’Aku Maekawa, and her final death was drowning in the pool room; in fact, all the previously mentioned room examples were some of the rooms she went through near the end. Now the maze is more tame and a LOT harder to get into now that it’s under new management… unfortunately, that also means she is bound to Sandman’s maze… for it is a wild, twisting wonderland, and without her being there to rule with an iron fist… the maze and it’s occupants will return to how they were, and people will be taken to be used as their playthings once again…
The survivors were left with only hope that Zen’Aku would be able to keep her sanity, and resist the wild temptation of Sandman’s Maze… for it is a terrible burden for a young girl to take on, but she was determined to fix the balance… fortunately for her, Zen’Aku’s efforts in balancing the dreams and nightmares of Sandman’s Maze paid off, and the vicious whirlpool transformed into a gentle tide… the maze is still a deadly place that becomes all the more dangerous the deeper you go; but now balance is restored, and its transformed inhabitants can remember what happiness feels like…
thanks for tuning in…
