this might not be entirely relevant to you, as you are the ctubbo pregnancy moot not a cranboo pregnancy moot, but idk who else could possibly be interested, so!
Do you think endermen would have little pouches for their babies? Maybe they even lay eggs too, so they just carry their egg babies around in their pouches until a little while after the babies hatch, once they're big enough to leave? (like roly polies. I am just making my love of roly polies be relevant to the cubitos. they're such silly creatures and I love their little egg pouches so dang much)
I LOVEEEE THIS ASK I LOVEEEE THIS ASK SO MUCH its made me have so many thoughts about how Enderians reproduce/carry offspring RAAAGH
What I’m imagining is somewhat similar! Where it’s like an egg thing. I think Enderpearls r like. Enderman eggs, where Endermen’ll have them in their bodies always and the babies only start growing once the eggs r fertilized! (Unfertilized eggs are the ones you get from drops and can be used to teleport and shit yk. Fertilized eggs don’t drop. Canon explanation to why only some Endermen drop pearls :> ) And like, it works by like, a bunch of eggs being laid, developing for a few years (it takes like. 5-10 years for eggs to hatch) but only few endermen make it to hatching, since baby endermen are so big (think like the size of a like. A medium sized fish) if the egg doesn’t grow fast enough with them the embryo perishes. :( (This is part of why Tubbo decided to carry Bug because. Him and Ranboo didn’t want multiple children and there was a better chance of Bug surviving if it was Tubbo)
ALSO THE POUCH IDEA IS SO CUTE????? I like to think Endermen babies (kits? pups? i kinda like endermen pups that sounds cute) like. NEED to be in contact with their parents all the time for the first bit of their lives, so a pouch would be really good for that :00 i also like to think the parents will hold children in their arms or in their mouths a lot, but I loveeee the idea of them having a pouch that’s so good (plus would probably be very safe for the baby yk) once the babies r developed enough to walk i think they hold onto their parents’ tails like a baby elephant, but endermen r also like. Human level intellegence so they will raise children in ways we’d recognize outside of all of the biological stuff 👍 (not all of it for example. Endermen r omnivores leaning carnivores so they do have to learn to hunt and stuff)

Hey, I saw your post asking us to gush about minecraft ocs and…ok, so, I have a lot. Partly because details of my ocs tie into the world I made for them, and mostly because I’ve been working on this for 3 and a half years and there’s a lot to tell.
Anyways, my main oc, Hannah, is from the real world and was dragged into the realm of Minecraft. It turns out that there are four kingdoms in this world and three out of the four kingdoms believe in a religious prophecy that entails that a tyrant will rise from one of the kingdoms, but a warrior will return to vanquish them. They believe Hannah to be this warrior, but Hannah doesn’t feel like she is. Unfortunately for her, the only way for her to get back is to go through the same portal that she came in from, and the only way to get the portal to reactivate is to gather the missing corner pieces from each of the four kingdoms. Throughout her journey, Hannah makes friends and allies, all while learning the rules of the server she’s in and how Minecraft works.
Oh yeah, the four kingdoms here are:
Kinerfall: A kingdom for the other players on the server. They see the world as more of an in-depth roleplay thing. Ruled by Queen Amara, who is also from the real world.
Weyforlosa: A kingdom for mobs. They are currently in an active war with Kinerfall because their ruler, King Coveris, used to date Queen Amara, but they split because they each thought that the other was going to be the tyrant.
Lavail: The Nether kingdom. They usually don’t believe in the prophecy or the religion the other kingdoms follow called Avianity. Ruled by King Hesil.
Vaniscar: The End kingdom. Currently the people there are a bit on edge because their recently crowned king, King Afias, has a bit of a checkered past, but he’s what they have for now.
Here’s a drawing of the rulers of those kingdoms btw:
Tumblr media
Throughout the story, Hannah makes friends with some mobs that decide to tag along with her, pictured here:
Tumblr media
Lonnie is a witch’s experiment that came to life as a slime. She loves adventures and knows how to brew potions.
Isador used to be a wandering trader, but he got turned into an evoker after being captured during a raid. He breaks free from the pillager’s side after meeting Hannah.
Dilou is a part of the royal guard for Lavail. He’s never been outside of the Nether before, so the adventure he goes on with the team is full of new surprises.
Evelyn has it out for King Afias after he wronged her in such a way that it got her banished from Vaniscar.
Anyways, sorry I rambled for so long. I just have a lot to say about this world…wait, I didn’t even tell you its name.
The world is called Avion. As such, the story is called Tale of Avion.
That’s all. Take care. Stay determined <3
Tumblr media
This is me reading this btw^^^
Thank you for sharing!!! Your drawings rule, I love the way you draw endermen especially (you get the proportions just right!!) Also never apologize for rambling about it, especially when you've been asked to do so! I appreciate it!!
As for Kinerfall, all of the players there see it as a roleplay sort of thing (and at least Amara is an irl person, though idk if the others are as well)... would they ever want to return to the real world, do they have access to do so, or are they mostly just in-game players? Is Amara an exception in this right, like Hannah is?
Also even if Hannah isn't the real hero the rest of the kingdoms make her out to be, she still seems to be uniting them in a way! Getting a bunch of mobs together from different corners of the world towards a common force (and getting to understand where each is coming from) is very valuable!
For kingdoms, are they/have they ever been on good terms? Do they have agreements or treaties between one another to keep the peace, is it uneasy, or are there a lot of wars happening? In my head I feel that Kinerfall wouldn't get along with a lot of the kingdoms (being that players typically hunt mobs for resources/sport/etc.), but I have little knowledge about it as of yet so I'd love to hear :)
I ask a lot of questions because I'm curious, so sorry if the wall of text is a little intimidating! I just love the worldbuilding!! As you know, my nether fascination is not very sane of any human being, but I also love exploring how in-game mechanics might work in a story-- things like using your inventory, for instance, or how totems of undying feel to use, if applicable in the AU. Like-- for the end kingdom, what is their main material? Like what are Afias' clothes/armor made of? Do they have materials in the end we're not able to see in game, or do they trade with other kingdoms? Do they eat chorus fruit? Do endermen need to eat at all? How do alliances work out between them all? How do the mobs keep from burning during the day? Do they have any magic that helps? Charms, amulets, totems? Do kingdoms have to compromise sometimes (like players would need to have a meeting with the mobs at night, to prevent them from burning up, in lieu of being able to see all that comfortably?)
ALSO stay determined? A fellow UTDR enjoyer? Huzzah! This is coming from someone who wears a LOT of stripes and now has a love for sweaters after allowing it to shape my life a while back lol
Anyways. Lots of questions, I'm inherently curious, what can I say? Long story short. I love your characters I'm looking directly at them!!!! Thank you for sharing with the class :D

My older sister posed this question to me last night and while we had a pretty good discussion about it I'm curious on other people's opinion.
For those who don't know what they are.
Endermen are a mob in minecraft that are typically passive unless attacked or the player looks them in the eyes, in which case they will become hostile and attack until either dead or their aggression runs out due to not being able to hit the player. They are capable of teleporting away after taking damage and are harmed by water.
SCP 096 is similar in that it is typically passive in nature until its face is viewed. In the event you look into 096's face in anyway barring an artistic depiction on paper it will escape containment and hunt the person down until said person is no more.

Minecraft Origins paves the way for some spicy lore. Tell me everything about EnderBoogle.
Tumblr media
ALriGHT, Let's go! I may not have a lot to share yet, however, knowing that I haven't ever actually beaten the game, I've decided that they aren't directly from the End at all- so they are probably a mix of half-enderian + half human! Instead, Enderboog is from the Warped Forest Biome of the Nether and commonly travels the Overworld. While in the overworld, they eventually settle down with a Half-Phantom. The biggest trial for her would probably be my other Minecraft OCs, a cult town of humans that hunts mobs: The Hollow Cadre. These fellas wear pumpkin heads with curse of binding (messing with Endermen and Enderians by being invisible to them) and devote their lives to hunting potentially hostile mobs, seeing them all as a threat.

I just remembered a nightmare I had about.. A year or two ago? Anyways, here's the gist of it:
It started off in an apartment building, close to a very old library. Apparently, I went to this library a lot, as the workers knew me, and I knew them as well.
There was a seemingly a new section, but no one else could see it. I went towards it, went to grab a book (leather back, no title, a little bit of sparkles like endermen in Minecraft) and this book opened up a secret room.
I walked into the room, it was a weird shrine deal. There was a book in front of a picture of a beautiful woman, at least in her 30's, and seemingly deceased. There was a book laying in front of it, on a table, with a few candles lit around it. This book had a very pretty, purple writing on the cover, the outside looking preserved, while the pages looked aged, either purposely, or due to parchment use.
I heard whispering, and something along the lines of "she will hunt you if you take it". What did I do? I waved to the painting with a 'hi', grabbed the book, opened it up, and skimmed to read to see if I wanted to continue reading at home. I did, left the room, closed the doors to the entrance, and walked out, happy with my selection.
After I got home, I got comfortable and began reading. Had no clue what it was about, but time passed, it was night, I had already ate, and was getting ready for bed. I saw the same woman in the mirror standing behind me, only creepier and more dead looking, and I didn't even acknowledge her. I know, white person shit.
Simply, I grabbed the book, got myself laid in bed, and began reading again. The same woman was in my peripheral, and she kept getting closer, and closer and-
I started reading the book out loud, with my stuttery and shaky voice, stumbling over every other word, putting on different voices for different characters in the story, and she stopped. She sat on her knees, and listened.
--
I woke up right after this, but this was genuinely creepy, as the woman looked like the girl from The Ring, and she'd just randomly scream out. And everyone at the library would scream at me to stop as I was leaving with this sacred bed-time story.

we have endermen, ender dragons, phantoms, creepers, striders, and maybe guardians in order! they’re a new addition :)
oh my god this was saved as a draft instead of posted and the internet is fighting with me ;;;-;;; anyway happy 1 day late birthday minecraft!!
Enderbeing/Bygone
when someone who has studied magick passes on, their energy is propelled and kept around in the world. their body tries to put itself back together but is unable
they lose all identifiers of who they once were, only what killed them is left after with the bright purple scarring and blood that never stops
their body grows to be around 9 feet tall, and their voice box has almost fully deteriorated. their speech is so garbled that they learn a form of sign language, but living people still have a hard time understanding them
because of the uncontrollable magick they teleport, mostly, against their will. alongside this, their arms grow so long that their hands reach their knees
when a wyvern passes on, if they don’t have the proper burial they turn into bygones
they spend their time in the human realm or in the beyond, gliding through the air since they don’t need to eat
this is how the term ‘let bygones be bygones’ came to be, since people were initially worried that there was something gray and dragon-like flying through the sky
Mane/Wight
manes are for the nether and wight’s are found in the wyvern dimension
wyvern dimension ones are blue and silver while the nether has red and off-white
wights are abundant in the wyvern dimension and are a primary food source, manes glide above lava and live in holes by the netherrack ceiling
both can’t see well so they use sparing echolocation. mane’s use it when they don’t feel the heat coming from under them and wights use it when they don’t feel anything
they could be counted as a distant cousin from bats
Còinneach-Beò
they primarily exist in thick jungles, or deep in the magick forest
their babies have to be near a water source to live, they can go wherever they please as adults
the species could count as living moss, grass, or vines
they evolved a warning system, a gravely growl the reminds people of danger. for them, it means that they’re about to shoot poison
they have excellent night vision since most of what they see is green anyway
Strider
they live in lava pools and are friendly, so they spend time in lots. it’s very hard to find them because of this
shadow knights had tried to tame them but would be thrown over their backs no matter how close they were, so they were left alone
some shadow knights tried to do studies on them but couldn’t find enough. whenever something not nether-native would try, they would not be able to make it out to their lots
Dìonadair-Uisge
they imitate pufferfish with quills and size, they don’t have much poison
the stingers covering their body is where the poison resides, mostly as a self defense measure
mers, sirens, and selkies are immune and like to keep these as pets. when they inspect tìr'tioram the indtruct their pets to stay deeper than them in case of an emergency
these fish can switch between male and female reproductive organs easily, the only way this species would die out is by being hunted

-December 11th, Factory Tyrant's Journal, Entry 11-
Today, I'm going to be starting off by testing out Project Red's item transport pipes to see if they're better than Buildcraft ones.
It turns out I can't actually figure out how they work.
They automatically connect to each other, but I can't figure out how to connect them to containers or machines, so I guess I'll just have to use vanilla item transport for now.
Before I can make a new pumping setup, I need to figure out how I'm going to detect when my tank is full, since comparators can't read from it, and my previous method was just to look at it, which won't work unless I'm in the area.
While I was looking at non-IC2 tanks that might be able to be read by comparators, I noticed one that should simplify the whole "transporting lava between dimensions" thing immensely, the ender tank (Ender Storage).
If what I can guess from the name is correct, ender tanks can be given a 3-digit code (each digit being a color, default is white/white/white), and the liquids stored in it can be extracted from any ender tank with the same code.
This is just what I'm guessing from the information in JEI, I'll need to grab some blaze rods and ender pearls before I can actually craft some to play with.
Blaze rods are pretty easy to get, but ender pearls are a bit more difficult since there aren't piglins to barter with in this version.
I guess while waiting for nighttime I can mine into the sky stone meteor I found back in entry 1.
Inside the meteor was an inscriber calculation press (AE2), which is used to make calculation processors, an important AE2 crafting component.
The calculation press isn't actually used up when making calculation processors, so I only ever need to get one, although I can use it to turn iron blocks into more calculation presses.
Since sky stone doesn't take as long to mine as I thought (and also because I need to wait until nighttime anyway), I've decided to mine the sky stone, which is mostly a decorative block, but is also used to make ME controllers, which are essentially the brains of digital storage systems.
Digital storage (and by extension, AE2 as a whole), isn't something I'm very familiar with, but it is something I'd like to get into.
Anyway, I tried hunting endermen once it was nighttime, but couldn't find any by sunrise, so I continued mining the meteor until the next night.
I only found 1 enderman that night, who didn't drop a pearl.
Earlier that night, I found some apatite ore at the entrance to a cave, so I mined it and got almost 6 and a half stacks of apatite from that one patch, I don't know enough about Forestry to know how long that will last.
Using 1 apatite and 2 sand, I can make 8 fertilizer, so I'm going to see how long a stack of fertilizer (costing 8 apatite) will last in my arboretum.
On my way over there, I found an enderman hiding under one of my greatwood trees, and he did drop an ender pearl, but I'm focusing on my arboretum right now.
I actually decided to move my arboretum because upon activating it for the first time, I learned that it converts an area around it, and I don't want my other stuff to get in the way.
I've put some spruce saplings in my arboretum, so now I can focus on ender tanks again.
I only have 1 ender pearl, but Reliquary allows me to combine it with 8 gold to make a nebulous heart (enderman drop), then turn the nebulous heart back into 3 ender pearls, basically the same thing I was doing with slime pearls before I made a slime farm.
Anyway, I have 2 ender tanks now, which work exactly as I thought they did, so now I just have to make a chunk loader so my pump setup can stay loaded while I'm in the overworld.
TCR has 3 mods that add chunk loaders, but I'll be using the ones from ChickenChunks, since the other 2 types of chunk loaders require either power (IC2) or obsidian dust (Railcraft).
Anyway, pump setup is done, here's what it looks like.
Tumblr media
Don't worry about the pipes being a different color, I'm using wooden diamond pipes and quartz pipes this time because they're faster.
And here's what it looks like on the overworld side.
Tumblr media
Now I can finally start my ore processor without needing to constantly refuel it.
I actually got a lot of ores from digging out my slime farm (including over 6 stacks of iron ore), but I didn't want to process them until now because I knew I could get a little bit extra if I waited a little bit longer.
All those ores (apart from uranium) have now been put in my ore processor.
It'll take a while to process them all, but at least I can do other stuff while I'm waiting.

no because im brainrotting so hard on this au <3
does dream ever break down in front of people? or is there ever a full reveal of what happened during + after the prison?
c!Dream has his moments of letting stuff slip. But his truest break down comes in very violent form.
I mentioned before that Dream reveals his hybrid form to everyone so he can fight back after losing his weapon. By this point, the syndicate already knows about him and c!Techno has helped him train to fight with his hybrid form basically for this situation.
What I didn't mention was the person who got him weaponless was c!Quackity (being helped by c!Fundy and c!Hannah). Quackity gets him pinned and believes he's won. He chooses to gloat for a moment. This, was a mistake.
Dream, furious and ready for revenge after everything Quackity did to him, drops his mask and tears into Quackity. It's such a shock to everyone else that nobody can react in time to help Quackity, so that man dies. In the aftermath, Dream snaps into himself and realizes either he gets away now or he's taking a lot more lives. So he bolts outta there, reclaiming his weapon and half running half flying off. Nobody follows him on account of; Uh.... what the fuck??? and also Dude just flew off and the only other person w/flight on the server is on his side.
The Syndicate gets home and expects to meet Dream there, only for 24 hours to pass without him showing up. Techno wants to go look for him, but c!Phil and c!Tubbo think it's better to give him time to cool off. Particularly given that due to limited time in his hybrid form, Dream experiences instincts to a pretty extreme degree when stressed. It takes some debate, but the syndicate agrees to give him 72 hours before doing anything.
c!Ranboo agrees to this and promptly forgets, wonders where Dream is, and then goes to track him down based on nothing but Vibes (Endermen instinct telling him where the dragon is). Dream is... Well he's a mess to say the least. His instincts are telling him to kill just about anything that comes his way. It's freaking him out and when added to having to be near Quackity at all. He just. Breaks a little bit. Ranboo knows the least of what went on in the prison and secondary cell. Just that conditions were bad enough to leave Dream still recovering from the effects more than 2 months after when he got revived. The only person in the Syndicate that knows Quackity tortured Dream was Techno, although Phil suspected something of the sort.
In a bad place, trying to sort himself out, Dream opens up to Ranboo. More specifically, he explains why it took so long to revive him. Why Dream was incapable of writing for so long. He spares some of the gorey details, but he doesn't shy away from how much it hurt. How much it still hurts. The level of nerve damage done. Just how much Quackity took from him. How much Sam took from him. Ranboo listens quietly. Out of shock and respect.
At the end of the story, Ranboo doesn't hug him. But he shuffles up to sit right next to Dream. Looks away so he doesn't see the tears at the corners of Dream's eyes.
"That's fucking rough." It's an understatement. "I'm glad you killed him." After a long pause, Ranboo finally finds something he could do to help. "Do you want me to shoo the others off so you can go hide in your den?"
And that- That sounds really nice. Dream only hesitates a moment.
"Can I take Michael? I just- Quackity was never near him, but. Some part of me-." It's too hard to explain, but Ranboo gets it.
"Yeah, he's missed you a lot. It'll be good for both of you. Just head down and I'll get him from Tubbo."
Plan in place, the two of them head home. Dream feeling a bit of weight off his chest, and Ranboo feeling like he finally got a piece of the puzzle he's been trying to fit back together. It's good. For them.
For Sapnap, who overheard almost everything, it's his entire world crashing down around him.
While Sapnap had sworn off hunting Dream after their encounter, he... Well, he made an exception after hearing that Dream turned into a fucking half-dragon and murdered his fiance. Not that he was planning to hurt Dream, he was just hoping for answers. It only took a minute to dig out the old manhunt compass that he'd sworn to Quackity he lost ages ago (fuck, it makes sense now why Quackity was so pushy about it. why he almost screamed at Sapnap over it. how he'd found Q looking through his stuff and what if he'd found it-). Then he was off, following Dream while ensuring he wasn't being followed himself.
When he'd finally found him, Sapnap was trying to decide how to handle the sight of his former best friend as a? A hybrid? Cursed? Experimented on? Who fucking knew. Before he could make up his mind, Ranboo had shown up, and then the truth came out.
Sapnap got his answers. And he lost one more person. Someone he thought he could trust. Someone who he'd vented his frustrations about Dream to (was that why? was it because of him? if he'd been less hot headed, if he'd been more open and admitted he still loved his brother. would Q have still done it? he didn't know he didn't know he didn't). Someone who he'd loved. Gone once again. Leaving him stranded, unsure of where to go from here. If there even is anywhere to go.

Reader that's picking flowers and meets ranboo and techno in the woods? (platonic and fluff please)
Author's note- This is so wholesome😌 Also I know you didn't say child reader, but I think it would work really well with this.
Mainly inspired by Cottagecore
Flowers in the woods
Y/N was walking in the forest holding a basket they made from twigs in their hands. The mushroom hat they wore shined brightly as they walked though the forest.
"Where can I find flowers?" They said, putting a finger on their chin as they looked around.
Then they saw a patch of sunflowers, oxen daisy, tulips and so much more growing the floor, and bright red mushrooms growing on the trees that were covered in moss.
"There they are!"
Y/N ran towards the patch and began to collect the flowers and mushrooms.
"You ok, Techno?" Ranboo asked as he saw Techno take his sword out.
"I heard something, someone..."
Ranboo followed Techno as they got deeper into the forest, the more they walked the more they heard footsteps and giggles. They pushed a bush out of the way and saw a child, around 5 or 6, picking up flowers from the floor, they had a massive mushroom hat, their H/C hair stuck out from it, they wore green shorts, a light blue sweater with clouds on it, and had small black boots on. The child was too busy getting flowers to notice the two.
"An orphan..." Techno said, pulling out his Orphan Oblterator.
"Techno, no, we don't even know if they're alone or not, we can't just kill a kid."
"Yes we can," Techno said.
"Let me go talk to them," Ranboo said, standing up.
"Ok, suit your self."
Ranboo walked towards the child, but this time the child noticed him. The child looked up and saw the endermen hybrid looking down at them. Ranboo crouched down so he was eye level to them.
"Hey little buddy, where's your parents?"
The child looked down at their basket who full with flowers and mushrooms, and then back to Ranboo.
"I... Don't know, I live alone in a abandoned cottage."
"So they ARE a orphan!"
"Techno! You're not going to kill them."
"Ranboo you know I hate orphans," Techno said with a blank face.
"Uh, what's your name?" Ranboo asked, ignoring Techno's comment.
"Y/N..." Y/N said, before putting a flower in the hybrids hair.
"That's what missing, you weren't wearing a flower, flowers make everything prettier! That's why I'm collecting them, I decorate my house with them."
Ranboo smiled and laughed a bit. Y/N looked at Techno and walked towards him. Techno raised his asked and Ranboo shook his head in a panic. Y/N grabbed a handful of flowers and tried to make Techno sit.
"Fine..." Techno mumbled, sitting down.
Y/N braided the piglin hybrid's hair, placing flowers in as they went along. Once they were done, they took out a crack mirror and gave it to Techno. Techno looked into the mirror and was kinda impressed.
"Thanks kid..."
Techno stood up and was about to get ready to leave before pulled him aside.
"We can't leave them by themselves, it's dangerous."
"They've been just fine Ranboo, what makes you think they will die?"
Techno, we at least gotta let them stay with us for a while, it's dangerous for some defenseless 5 year old living on their own."
"We have to ask Phil first."
Ranboo looked at Y/N who was yawning against a tree as they slowly fell asleep.
"Little buddy, do you want to stay with us for a while?"
Y/N had excitement in their eyes as they nodded.
"But can we go to my cottage first, I want to get a few things."
"Sure."
The three walked in the forest for about 30 minutes, and then they began to see the house.
Tumblr media
(Image from Google)
Y/N opened the door and went to the cabinets, grabbing a bag and began grabbing various items, like a stuffed bee and a jar filled with flowers. Once they were done packing they called someone's name and grabbed a jar that held a golden baby axolotl.
"Butter!"
Techno and Ranboo were confused until they saw a baby fox walk out from under a table. Y/N placed the aloxltol gently into the basket of flowers and picked up Butter.
"We can go now!" Y/N said, walking out
Once they were at Phil's house, Phil was surprised when they say some kid with a massive mushroom hat walking with Ranboo and Techno.
"Uh, who's this?" Phil asked.
"Can we talk inside?" Ranboo asked.
"Uh, sure."
Ranboo told Y/N to go sit on the couch while he and the others talked.
"So uh, me and Techno were in the forest hunting when we heard footsteps and giggles."
"Ok..."
"So we checked and that kid on the couch, who's named Y/N, was picking up flowers and mushrooms, and we asked if they had and parents and apparently they don't. So can they live with us, until they find a family."
Phil thought for a moment before coming up with a idea.
"Don't you a kid yourself, Micheal was it? Why don't they stay in Snowchester with him and Tubbo, they'll have a kid around they're own age to hang out with, and also I don't think their's space for them here."
"Wait that could work," Techno said.
1 month later...
For the past month Y/N has been living with Ranboo while Tubbo and him got the stuff they would need. When they got to Snowchester with Ranboo, Tubbo was happy to meet them, and Michael was even more excited. Y/N roomed with Micheal and the two played often, and Y/N would give Michael a basket of flowers and Micheal would give them a golden sword, and they would let their imaginations run wild.
"You two ready for bed?" Tubbo asked as he and Ranboo tucked Micheal and Y/N to bed.
"Yep!" Y/N said.
"Oink!" Micheal said, since he couldn't speak English yet.
Tubbo and Ranboo closed the door as they walked down the halls of the mansion.
"Where did you find Y/N?" Tubbo asked.
"It's a long story..."

he was running again. he didn’t know where or from what, but his legs carried him far and strongly, weaving him through trees and grass and other obstacles along the way. he didn’t know how in danger he was, but he wasn’t going to stop and find out.
then he tripped.
when he flipped onto his back, it was that goddamn mask staring down at him, the lips just under it laughing, “you’re so weak, tommy! did you do anything while you were in neutral?” then his axe came down and tommy braced himself for the pain and release of death.
he woke up instead.
sweating under his covers, tommy sucked in a harsh breath as he sat up. he threw the soft cotton off of him, running a warm hand down his face. it was just a dream; he was safe in neutral.
looking out of the window next to him, he saw the moon still high in the sky, casting a cool light into his bedroom. dream’s words rang through his head like a bell, and he rubbed at his temples with a sigh. was he actually getting weak? was relaxing such a bad thing? at the very least, some part of him must have thought so to conjure a nightmare like that..
with another sigh, tommy lifted himself out of bed and flipped open the ender chest. he drew out his sword before heading to the main floor of the house.
when he reached the bottom of the stairs, a voice called out to him, “tommy?” his heart nearly stopped for a moment, before peeking into the kitchen and realizing it was just y/n. she sat in candlelight, writing in a small journal with a slice of half-eaten pumpkin pie next to her. “are you alright?”
“yeah,” he breathed, his voice still heavy with sleep. “just gonna go kill some mobs.”
she nodded. she looked tired, and a part of tommy felt bad knowing that she was most definitely going to wait for him to return. “okay. have at it, kid.”
he nodded, turning to leave the kitchen. before he did so, he pursed his lips and looked over his shoulder to y/n. “you should go to bed.”
she gave him a smile, scribbling something down in the small journal. “i will, tommy. just gotta finish this up..” his natural curiosity was drawn to the small book, and he almost asked y/n what she was writing. but then dream’s voice rang through his mind again, and tommy silently headed for the doors of the house.
the night air was refreshing on his warm skin, cool and still as the moon illuminated the frontal beauty of neutral territory. he took a deep, calming breath of that crisp air before focusing on the task at hand: proving to himself that dream was wrong. that dream is always wrong.
after about twenty zombies, ten spiders, countless creepers, and a few endermen, tommy finally felt the burn in his arms become nearly too much to bear. he panted as he struck down one last spider, turning and finally deciding to return back to the comfort of y/n’s home.
he sheathed his sword when he finally entered the house, going straight to the kitchen to see that y/n was still awake and writing in her small journal.
“ready to go to bed?” he asked gruffly.
she looked up slowly before nodding, placing her quill down and capping her ink. “any trouble out there?”
“no,” he spoke, shaking his head. “wrote everything you needed to?” y/n blew out her candle and went to join the boy in the doorway to the kitchen.
“as much as i could, anyway,” she shrugged, smiling lazily as they began to walk toward the stairs. “what was your nightmare about?”
tommy was slightly startled, but a little too tired to react drastically to y/n’s deduction. “how’d you know i had a nightmare?”
“i’ve had them before,” she said simply. “and it seemed natural that you’d expel some energy onto mobs after such a thing.”
“you’re smart,” tommy credited.
“thank you,” y/n yawned.
they continued to climb the stairs in silence as tommy considered his words. “i was being hunted by dream again, but this time you weren’t there to save me. he called me weak and killed me.”
“so you wanted to prove to yourself that despite allowing yourself peace, you didn’t have to sacrifice your strength to get there,” y/n summed.
the boy half-smiled. she was spot on, as always. “exactly,” tommy breathed.
y/n was silent for a moment as she thought. they stopped at the hallway to tommy’s room and it then occurred to tommy’s tired mind that her room was downstairs; she was walking with him because she cared about him.
“honestly, tommy, if this is a real concern for you, then there is no harm in taking time out of your day to work out and train,” y/n spoke. “but the most important thing is to recognize when enough is enough, and when enough becomes too much. you’ve allowed yourself peace and care for the last two weeks, and achieving such a state doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice fighting or training; it just means that you need to be more aware and in tune with yourself as you’re doing it.” tommy nodded.
“don’t overwork yourself, is the summary here,” she said, picking a cobweb off of his shirt. “let yourself do the things you want, but make sure it’s not wearing you down. that’s taking care of yourself.”
“alright,” tommy spoke quietly. “thank you, y/n.”
“of course, kid,” she smiled. “get some sleep, alright? if you have another nightmare you’re free to bother me.” tommy nodded again. “good night, tommy.”
“good night, y/n,” he yawned as she turned to head down to her room. he made sure he heard her door shut before finally heading to his own room.
...
“can you teach me archery?” tommy questioned the next morning at breakfast. it was a question that had bugged him since y/n had first revealed her skills just a few days prior, and since he was going to start training, he figured that might be a good place to start.
“sure,” she chuckled as she scooped some more fruit onto his nearly half-eaten plate of french toast.
“why the laugh?” he questioned through a mouthful of berries.
she shrugged to herself. “your curiosity is showing.”
“i’ve been wondering about it since you took out the mob,” tommy admitted. “if i want to get stronger.. i think this is a good way to.”
“perfecting a skill is the perfect way to get stronger,” y/n voiced. “of course i’ll teach you, kid.” she smiled and he turned back to his breakfast with his own grin. “finish up your food and meet me in the basement; we gotta get you a bow first.”
tommy hadn’t been in the basement of the house yet. he opened the heavy, dusty trapdoor and assumed y/n didn’t go down their often either. he slid down the ladder easily and was immediately hit with heat.
y/n had a welding station upstairs in her shop area, but the basement had a more broad and intense version of that area. several anvils, all cracked and rusted and adorned with different materials were scattered in a sort of pattern amongst the space, a fire burning high in a fireplace at the far side of the room. seeing no sign of y/n, tommy moved to the room to his left.
the next room held a large nether portal, as well as a small farm for netherwart. the dark room felt empty to him, and he had to remind himself that he was in fact in y/n’s house still. he remembered she had said that she didn’t like going to the nether.
“i’m in here, tommy!” she called out. he took another left into a small storage room, where y/n was rustling through a chest. “how tall are you, kid?”
“6’1”,” he answered.
y/n smiled. “you’re a lot taller than i’ll ever be.” she took out a pretty oak bow, slightly scratched and obviously old. “you’ll have to use this for now, until i can make you one that’s your size.” he took the bow from her hands, shrugging.
“it’s fine.”
“good,” she hummed, still shuffling through the chest as tommy took the time to look around the small room.
“what’re the dispensers for?” tommy asked, staring at the wall that held the three stone tools.
“im nothing if not prepared, tommy,” y/n spoke as she took out a quiver and began to fill it with arrows for him. “in case of emergency, those dispensers will set off flares to let others know that im in trouble or that neutral is in danger.”
tommy nodded, still looking at the obviously unused dispensers. “smart.”
“i hope so,” she sighed, handing him the quiver of arrows. he strapped it around himself as she continued, “let’s just hope i never have to use them, yeah?”
“yeah,” he chuckled. she gave him a smile, hoisting her bow higher in her grip.
“you ready to shoot some things?”
...
“relax your shoulders,” y/n reminded. tommy did so, his fingers still white with effort against the taut string of the bow. “don’t pull so hard, tommy. you’re shaking.” he sighed as he let the string and arrow go limp, lowering his bow as y/n approached him closer.
it was his second day of archery training, and he was still missing nearly every target. y/n was a calm and collected teacher, offering him advice that was pointed directly for him and reassured him that there was no rush in the learning process. but after missing fifteen or so shots in a row, tommy was getting frustrated.
and it didn’t help with sapnap and george staring at him through the kitchen windows.
“doin’ great, kid,” sapnap encouraged weakly, taking a drink of the lemonade y/n had lovingly prepared for the boys. just watching the older man sip made tommy’s mouth dry, but he was determined to make five shots in a row before taking a break.
tommy glared at the man before turning his gaze back to his mentor. “ignore him, tommy,” y/n spoke gently. “nick couldn’t hit a target if it was three paces away.”
“that’s a lie!”
“im kidding,” y/n laughed, placing a hand on tommy’s shoulder and turning him away from the distraction that was sapnap. “but seriously, there’s almost always going to be someone watching when you shoot. the more you can tune them out, the better. just focus on your aim--and make sure your grip is looser. you’re gonna snap that string in no time otherwise.”
“loose grip, focus on aim,” tommy breathed and she patted his shoulder as he turned back to the target ahead of him. he hoisted the bow up slowly and pulled the string back just enough that it wasn’t fully taut. he made sure his aim was a little higher than his target, and released the whizzing arrow. the arrow pierced just outside of the center ring.
“perfect,” y/n smiled. “now, do it again.” and he did, taking another deep breath and allowing himself to focus in on the feel of the rough wood on his fingertips, and the tight string he was pulling. the arrow hit just beside his last. she nodded encouragingly. “keep going.”
tommy could feel his heart start to thump in his chest from the excitement of his accurate aim. he took another calming breath and watched as the arrow lodged closer to the center.
“great aim,” she complimented and he grinned as he pulled another one back, trying to contain his shaking as he aimed. the arrow shot lower than his previous, but on the target nonetheless. “still a good shot. one more?”
“yeah,” tommy nodded, licking his dry lips as he retrieved another arrow from his quiver. heart still thumping with utter excitement and pride at y/n complimentary words, he quickly released the arrow and his smile dropped as the arrow lodged into the ground before the target.
“hey, that’s fine!” y/n assured as tommy groaned and dropped his head. “four in a row is an amazing improvement, tommy. you should take a break and reward yourself.”
tommy sighed, looking to the shameful arrow. “yeah. alright.” he dropped the bow to the ground along with his quiver. he looked to his slightly splintered fingers. “im gonna go.. wash up.”
“alright,” y/n smiled as tommy scampered away. she entered into the open kitchen, smiling at her guests. “you boys doing alright?”
they nodded. “when did you take up parenting, y/n?” george giggled. she rolled her eyes as she went to pour her and tommy their own glasses of lemonade. “no, seriously! you care for that kid a lot, it-it’s not a bad thing!”
she sighed, leaning against her counter as she sipped at her lemonade. “i know you two haven’t always agreed with him in the past, but i think tommy’s a good kid. i like his ethic, and i think he has a lot of potential. but that being said..” she shook her head. “he’s so young.” the boys nodded. “he’s been thrown into such a life of chaos and destruction, and im not saying he’s at all innocent, but.. i think it’s good for him to learn that there’s more to this world than just war and enemies. there’s...”
“neutral,” sapnap finished for her. she let out a laugh.
“yeah, neutral,” she agreed, tapping her fingers against her cold glass. “but, yeah, if teaching him peace and self care is motherly of me..” she shrugged. “then i guess im alright with being a parent.”
“that’s sweet,” sapnap nodded. “i hate it.” the three of them laughed, y/n laying a light slap on the man’s arm before tommy’s voice called out to her.
“y/n! can i have some help?”
“im coming!” she called back, setting down her glass of lemonade.
“go help your poor son,” george teased, resting his head in his hand as he gazed at y/n amusedly. she rolled her eyes.
“behave, you two,” she laughed before leaving the kitchen.
there was a moment of silence before george spoke, “i do think it’s quite sweet how y/n’s taken tommy in. i think it’s good for both of them.”
“you say that now,” sapnap sighed, leaning back in his chair. “but just wait until tommy’s back to feeling 100% and y/n’s going around saying “pog” all the time.”

The Babysitting Game
They say it takes a village to raise a child. Well, Grian doesn't have a child but he does have an egg and a village. That’s basically the same thing, right?
Grian acquires an egg. His friends help him.
No romantic relationships or content warnings. Mainly fluff! Hermits: Grian, Mumbo, Pearl, and Scar. My first publish fanfic since 2016 and my first hermitcraft fanfic :D ao3 link and some inspirations to be linked in a reblog
Words: 2862
•·················•·················•
"What if I touched it really quick?" Scar asked.
"No, don’t-don’t touch the egg," Grian said seriously. "Look, I even made a sign! It specifically says ‘Do not touch.’" He gestured to the sign in question, but Scar ignored him.
"Can I rub it?" he said. The man leaned over it, studying the object carefully. Grian hadn’t known where to place the egg when he got it, and it was just sitting on an anvil for the time being. He didn’t even have a starter house yet, but clearly he was going to need something soon if he was going to protect the egg from some of the more . . . mischievous residents of their Boatem village.
“No, don’t touch the egg! Scar-” Grian walked closer, hands outstretched, just in time to see Scar reach out with his hand and pat the egg.
Vworp!
The egg disappeared into thin air.
Dragon eggs had a tendency to do that. It was a survival tactic--Grian didn't really know how it worked, but just as endermen could teleport away from danger, so could the egg if it were touched. Now whether or not Scar was dangerous remained up for debate…
Scar giggled. "Oh, where did you go?" he sang, hunting around the area.
Well, he COULD be pretty scary sometimes.
"Scarrrr," Grian whined, helping him look. "I told you not to touch it!"
"It's over here!" Scar shouted, finding the egg at the bottom of a small slope nearby. "Just one more time…." He reached out again.
"No!" Grian said, slapping his hand away. "Look, you've got to pick it up the right way." He demonstrated, carefully lifting the egg and placing it in a pouch slung over his back. He had hurriedly stitched it together not too long ago, worried that transporting the egg normally might break it. “If you do it roughly, you’ll scare it and it’ll teleport away again.”
"I see!" said Scar.
"Now, please, don't touch the egg.”
"Oh," Scar said. He straightened. "You're really serious about this."
Grian glared. "I am."
"I'm sorry, I just thought it was funny!"
Grian sighed. "It's okay, Scar. It's just--this thing is a baby, it needs to be handled gently! You can't just go around scaring it! What if it falls into a hole or something?" he hissed.
"Oh my god," Scar laughed, "you're its mother now!"
"No, no, I'm not!"
"You are!" Scar cried. He suddenly stopped. "Oh no, didn't you kill its mother?"
"Well it doesn't know that!" Grian snapped. "Truthfully I didn't realize there would be an egg! And I couldn't just leave it, you know! Here, look at this." Grian gently withdrew the egg from its pack, and Scar moved closer. He held it up to the sun. "Look at that."
The sun shined dark red through the deep purple shell of the egg, making it glow within. In the middle, the silhouette of a curled up creature was illuminated. Blood vessels radiated outward, and at the bottom there was a blank space that Grian assumed was air. The egg’s shell was too thick for any detail to be made out, but the processes happening within were clear. Grian was enchanted with it.
“Beautiful, isn’t it?”
"Wow," Scar breathed. "There's actually a dragon in there! What're you gonna do with it after it hatches?"
"Well, I haven't exactly thought that far--I just want to worry about keeping it safe first. I mean, what do you even do with this thing?" Grian put the egg back in its satchel, and rubbed his eyes tiredly. "I suppose you keep it warm and safe but, like, I don't know what else-"
"I could help!" Scar said.
"You were just playing with it!"
"Hey," Scar said defensively, "that was before I knew more about it!"
Grian rolled his eyes.
“What are you guys doing over here?” said Mumbo, wandering over. Grian just knew he’d been up to something, and sure enough, there was a new tree next to his little collection of chests. Grian wasn’t very bothered by it, because he already had a plan to get Mumbo back for it.
“Grian is just showing me his new baby!” Scar teased. “He’s a mom now.”
“I am NOT its mother,” replied Grian tiredly, but he smiled at the sight of the other man.
“A baby?” Mumbo asked, choosing to ignore the rest of Scar’s statement.
“A dragon egg,” Grian answered. “I found it in the End.” He paused for a moment, feeling almost bad. “After I killed the dragon.”
“Grian! You’ve orphaned it!” Mumbo sounded scandalized.
“Why do you all keep bringing that up!?” he defended, glancing between Mumbo and Scar, who both gave him disapproving, albeit playful, looks. “I know you’re Mr. Peace, Love and Plants this time, but we’ve always killed the dragon in every new world!”
“Well, I guess that’s true, but it is a little sad isn’t it? You’re taking care of it but only because you killed its mum.”
“Yeah,” was all Grian said. The dragon always needed to be taken care of in each new world they visited, and while it was always a bit of a shame, he’d never really contemplated it that much. After all, he normally wasn’t the one who fought it--that last time in Evo aside. He didn’t really know what he had gotten into but he felt deeply like he needed to protect this egg. It was like a tug in his chest, drawing him into the egg and telling him not to let go.
“Show him the egg!” Scar said.
“You just want to see it again,” Grian replied, but pulled the egg out of the satchel again anyway for Mumbo to see. The surface of the egg wasn’t smooth, like a chicken’s egg, but bumpy. The purple spots almost seemed to glow, and occasionally little violet particles drifted off of it. Grian felt like he could stare at it in awe all day, and apparently his friends felt the same.
“How’re you going to keep it warm?” asked Mumbo after a moment of admiring it. “That satchel isn’t going to be enough, and to be frank, I don’t see you spending any time sitting on it, even if the mental image is pretty funny.”
Grian rolled his eyes at the comment, but thought about it. How would he incubate it? He may have had wings, but he didn’t know anything about eggs, other than that it was a safe bet to assume it needed to be kept warm. “I'm not sure, actually.”
“Hey, let me design something for you!” Mumbo said excitedly. “I could probably use some redstone and make an incubator of some sort for you.”
Grian smiled. “I’d really appreciate that.”
Asking Mumbo to create a contraption for him--what could go wrong?
•·················•·················•
“I’m not wearing this thing, you know.” Grian said, holding the contraption while Mumbo wheezed with laughter in the background. The design that Mumbo had come up with was essentially a backpack with heating elements strung through it, except for one thing . . .
“You-you wear it in the front,” Mumbo choked out, wiping a tear from his eyes.
“Yes, I see that,” Grian replied, unamused.
“Like a swaddle!”
“Yes, I see that.”
Mumbo laughed harder. Grian had to begrudgingly admit that it was well designed, however. It would fit the egg perfectly, keep it warm, and most important it was mobile to ensure that he could take the egg with him. It was thoughtful, especially since Mumbo knew Grian was quite protective of it.
“I’m not wearing this thing,” Grian repeated. “I’m not going to let you all laugh at me while I walk around the server with an egg swaddled to me!”
“I thought you’d say that,” Mumbo chuckled. “Here, you can switch the straps around and turn it into a backpack.” He unclipped the straps and moved them into the new configuration.
“Thank you, Mumbo,” he said gratefully. “This will certainly do the trick.”
“Glad to hear it mate,” Mumbo replied. “Now, while you’re here, may I ask why there is an incredibly tall tree on top of my camper?”
“Sorry, got to go!” blurted Grian, snatching the backpack from Mumbo’s arms and flying off in a burst of feathers.
“That’s unfair, I don’t even have an elytra yet to go chase him down with,” muttered the man as he watched Grian disappear.
•·················•·················•
Grian sat in the grass in front of his starter home and rubbed his eyes wearily. He was exhausted. Is this how all parents feel? he wondered. Was he just uniquely unqualified to be one? After all, this was only an egg! It hadn’t even hatched yet and he was already tired of keeping up with it.
Carrying it in the backpack was heavy, and Grian tired out quickly. It was hot on his back, and Grian found himself having to take breaks to avoid overheating. It was also cumbersome, and he found it difficult to build with as it shifted his weight. He almost fell off the roof once while building it! Of course, having wings meant that Grian could catch himself easily, but it had still given him quite the scare. Dragon eggs were pretty sturdy, and would teleport themselves out of danger if possible, but he was still so paranoid about breaking it. And now there was the Boatem Hole to worry about--what if it teleported itself into the void? These things kept Grian awake at night.
But if he left it...well, just like Grian had a tendency to lose items in his chest monsters, he also had a tendency to forget where he placed things. He had been forced to go back and rescue the egg from some place he’d left it more than once, which he wasn’t exactly proud of. What sort of parent forgot their child?
. . . He was definitely not admitting to being its parent.
Oh God, what did I get myself into?
“Hey Grian, what’re you up to?” came a voice, interrupting his thoughts. He looked up and saw Pearl standing over him. Her hair was tied back in a ponytail and her hands were in her hoodie pockets. She took a seat on the ground next to him, and followed his gaze overlooking the Boatem village. “What’s on your mind?”
“This--this egg,” said Grian. It sat next to him in its backpack, still radiating heat. “I don’t know what to do with it. I’m just so tired of carrying it around!”
“I have to admit,” Pearl said, “I didn’t expect you to immediately adopt a baby dragon the very next time I saw you.”
“Yeah, well, it was an accident.” Grian groaned. “I don’t know what to do with it now, let alone when it hatches!”
Pearl thought for a moment. “You know, the rest of us are all here for you. The other hermits would be happy to help out, I’m sure.”
The other hermits . . . well of course they would. If it was one thing they were all good at, it was supporting each other. Scar had already taken a particular interest in the egg, although Grian was still a little suspicious of him scaring it again. Mumbo had specially designed an incubator for it. Pearl was visiting him to check up on him and offer help.
All Grian had to do was convince himself to let it go. To let them help.
“I know that but . . .”
“But what? Have you had any reason to believe they wouldn’t?” Pearl asked.
“Well, no.” He thought for a while. He thought of how his friends would lend materials when needed, or how they’d help replace someone’s armor and items if they were lost. He thought about the days where they all teamed up and chose one hermit to help out, and he thought about all the things they did for the good of the entire community without even being asked.
His desire to protect the egg was strong, and putting it into the hands of another person almost felt like simultaneously a betrayal of the egg itself and the biggest leap of faith he could take. But the hermits were good at leaps of faith, because someone was always there to catch you.
“You think it’d be okay?”
“I know it’ll be okay,” Pearl replied. “I haven’t been here very long but from what I’ve seen, I know they’d all help. They wouldn’t hurt it. They might be a little mischievous sometimes,” she said, glancing at Scar’s house, “but they know how important it is and would be happy to help. They helped you before, didn’t they?”
Pearl was right, of course. Nobody on the server had any desire to hurt the egg. He trusted that. If there was anyone that he could trust, it was them.
But how would he get them all to essentially sign up for babysitting?
An idea struck him, and Grian scrambled to his feet. “Pearl, you’re brilliant. Thank you!”
She blinked, a little startled. “Always happy to help.”
•·················•·················•
Grian stood back, admiring his work. A near perfect duplicate of the egg that was currently sitting in the backpack slung around his shoulder, but at a much larger scale. It was built out of obsidian blocks and crying obsidian for the spots, and if Grian was pretty proud of how it looked.
If Grian knew anything, it was that his friends loved minigames. And Grian was not above gently exploiting that fact to get a little help--just like barge game from the last world, where he managed to get his friends to help mine out the stone from next to his mansion. Just slap the title of “game” on something and you could get a hermit to sign up for anything.
“Now . . . I just have to write the signs on the inside.”
The game Grian had come up with was officially called Tegg--he needed to stay on brand with his tag games in every world--but he’d mentally been calling it “The Babysitting Game” for a while now. Because that’s what it really was--each hermit who signed up would also sign up to watch the egg and keep it safe. He set to work outlining the rules.
RULE ONE: Protect the egg and keep it safe.
RULE TWO: Keep the egg incubated or it’ll die.
RULE THREE: Keep a close eye on the egg.
RULE FOUR: Call Grian if it starts to hatch.
Satisfied, he wrote out the rest of the instructions. Because it was a game, he wanted to make it fun for the hermits too, so he’d decided to make it like a scavenger hunt. People were allowed to take the egg, provided they adhered to the rules, and were encouraged to hide it and keep it safe. Otherwise, someone else who wanted to have it could get it. The safer the egg was, the less likely for someone else to find it. The winner was whoever had the egg the longest when it finally hatched. Grian didn’t know how long that would take, but he didn’t want to miss it either, hence rule four.
Yep, totally outsourcing his babysitting onto his friends.
Grian squinted at his wall of signs, before placing one final sign at the bottom: Grian will track the game and has final say on points and rules!
“That should do it,” he mumbled. He still wanted to keep an eye on the egg, to make sure that he knew who had it and how many people’s hands it had gone through. After all, he was the one ultimately responsible for it.
Grian pulled the egg out of the backpack and carefully placed it on the ground. He’d somehow made a habit of just speaking to it every now and then--he had no idea if the little dragon could hear anything in there, but he liked to think that it could. “Hey there,” he whispered, and stroked the top of the egg. “Some new people are going to start taking you pretty soon, but it’s okay. They’re going to give me some help and make sure you’re safe.”
He paused, taking in the little room he’d made and the wall of signs he’d written with meticulous instructions for the egg’s care. It may have been the first thing he’d built for this egg, but he had a feeling it wouldn’t be his last. A baby dragon was a commitment and for the first time Grian really let himself think about what that meant, beyond just an egg that he had to carry around. Would he house it? Train it? Let it stay by his side? Would he love it?
I think I already do, he thought.
He thought of the hermits--their mischievousness, their pranks, their hard work, their friendship, and their goodness at heart. They were his family, now. What was one more addition?
“It’s okay,” he whispered to the egg. “I trust them all with my life, but more importantly, I trust them with yours.”

Origins SMP Lore - Sep. 28 2021
The hunt for the stronghold (Origins smp)
there are parts of this that may be out of character, but there was enough content here for me to make a summary post
-ranboo has decided to hunt down the server’s stronghold, wanting to use it as a secret base or “lair” -he seems to have no qualms about killing endermen, hunting them down for pearls to find the stronghold -he started at least two forest fires, not completely putting them out because “trees grow back” -when called out on the fires by scott, he refused to admit it was him, saying it was put out by the new rain that was falling -he also refused to tell scott about the stronghold, keeping it secret
-he calls his particles chat, commenting that people commonly assume he can produce ender pearls but he can’t -says he does not know what murder is while in the nether, saying he’s been stealing from endermen and then killing them so it’s not murder. also says he can do no wrong and he is always right -he dies on the way to the stronghold, calling scott a peasant when he offers help -says he is the main character like jesus because he keeps dying and coming back
-finally finds the stronghold, entering it directly next to the portal room -while exploring it, he finds a library and gets excited over it -inside a chest in the library he finds a book and quill titled “do not read,” not opening it -he also finds three water protection books while exploring, one level 3 and two level 2
-a large portion of the rest of the stream is spent trying to link a series of nether portals on the nether roof so he can have a good way to move around

Summary: Fundy and Ranboo wanted to do some mining together, maybe even make it a competition, in a new cave that Fundy found only to meet a new person.
Word count: 2578
Authors Note: My ADHD kinda went wild at the end so this might seem a bit more disconnected and rushed and I apologize for that. I also hope you are happy with this, you may always give me feedback or tell me if I got it wrong :] I might get back to this someday to write something more involved but college is kicking my ass :|
„I swear to you no one has been here yet. It should be full with resources!” Fundy rambled as he checked his equipment out one last time. His trusty netherite pickaxe resting on his shoulder.
Ranboo was holding onto his pickaxe with both of his hands. His body language screamed nervous but his expression was that of doubt.
“This isn’t too far out from L’Manberg. I bet they already mined it dry also if you have been here already how can I be sure you haven’t scouted out the best place yet?”
Fundy just rolled his eyes and continued to walk inside the cave that seemed to be surprisingly big and led further down into the depths “I have not. Besides you’ll be mining right next to me so you can basically check up on me. The wager still stands?”
The Endermen Hybrid sighed “Yes, sure. Let’s just get this over with. I won last time anyhow so let’s just do it.”
For some reason Fundy approached Ranboo again for another mining competition. Was it revenge for last time? Who knew. Ranboo just knew he didn’t have anything better to do and hey, he might find some diamonds or other useful minerals.
As they walked deeper into the cave Ranboo soon noticed the rather weird fauna covering the floor, walls and ceiling. When he checked for a reaction from Fundy he too seemed enamored with the plants. If anything this was probably proof that he was indeed never inside here.
Fundy opened up his backpack and got a torch out which begun burning with a fast flick of his flint and steel. While both had semi good eyes when it came to the dark due to their hybrid side they were still surprised when they saw everything in a better light.
There were especially a lot of vines snaking around the walls that carried some sort of orange fruit.
“I have never seen anything like this” Ranboo mumbled in awe “Well, I think”
Fundy nodded “Mhm, me neither. This is amazing!”
As he yelled that out both heard a rustling coming from behind them. Before they could react properly Fundy was crying out and flew through their landing a few feet further into the cave.
“Fundy!” Ranboo yelled out surprised. He ran over to his friend and got his sword out. What in the world was that?
The fox Hybrid was coughing and clambering for breath, his eyes wide in shock from whatever just hit him. Not sure what to do in this situation Ranboo put one of his hands on his back as a sign that he had his back but still positioned himself with the sword in front of Fundy. That’s when he finally saw what hit him and threw him through the air.
It was a person. A hybrid by the looks of it.
They were standing in front of him, tense and ready to jump in for another attack. Their eyes were directed towards the ground. White orbs that seemed to look unfocused. On their head were beautiful greenish antlers that wove around in on themselves. It reminded Ranboo of twigs bound together while moss was growing on it. These antlers were more or less directed towards them.
Scared that this might be the sign for another attack Ranboo yelled out a soft “I’m sorry! I have no idea what we did but we are sorry!”
For some reason this seemed to work. The person seemed to be still in their attack mode but their shoulders relaxed a little bit “Then go. This is my home. Leave.”
“Oh my god you are a Warden Hybrid.” Fundy suddenly rasped out.
“A what?”
“You know of us?”
Fundy nodded and got back up, he was still a bit taken aback from the punch against his back “I only heard and read a bit about Wardens. They are strong, blind creatures that detect vibrations via their antlers. It’s said that Wardens are so strong they could kill a human in full netherite armor with just two punches at best. Now, I can see that you are blind, have antlers and you are certainly strong. I’ll give you that.”
The Warden Hybrid looked conflicted. They put their arms back down but looked still tense “Yes, that’s pretty much it. So, if you weren’t here for finding more about Wardens or even hunt us? What are you doing in my cave?”
This surprised Ranboo. They were still very wary of the two but they also seemed to be curious. Maybe it was just nature or they didn’t get the chance to talk to other people much and now used their chance. Whatever it was, Ranboo was glad for it. He didn’t look forward to being flung through the air like Fundy if he could avoid it.
“Uh” Ranbo nervously scratched the back of his head “We wanted to go mine and make it a competition. Didn’t know someone was living here which is surprising since this cave is actually pretty close to our main city.”
The stranger perked up at that “A city? With more of you?”
The two nodded in response only to realize that the Warden couldn’t see it so Fundy spoke up “Yeah. Do you- Do you wanna see, uh, visit it? We could introduce you to more people.”
They looked unsure but slowly nodded “Only if you promise me that if everything is too much for me, since I haven’t talked to people a lot, you will lead me back here.”
Ranboo let out a deep sigh. For some reason he was scared of their reaction “As a fellow socially awkward Hybrid I promise you we will do that.”
“You are a Hybrid?” They sounded so surprised, almost shocked at that.
That reminded him “Oh, yes. I guess we should properly introduce ourselves. I’m Ranboo, an Enderman Hybrid and my friend whom you punched is Fundy, a Fox Hybrid.”
“My name is Y/N” they introduced themself. “And I’m sorry for punching you. I just thought you were here to kill me.”
While Fundy was frowning, obviously not happy with this he sighed “Yeah, it’s alright. I understand.”
Together the group walked out the cave. Both Fundy and Ranboo had to get used to the light while Y/N was curiously spinning around, probably looking out for any vibrations their antlers picked up on.
It was actually surprising how difficult it was to lead Y/N back to the city. They would always get distracted by anything that moved or made sounds around them. It didn’t help that both were lowkey absolutely terrified of them.
Every now and again Fundy would rub his back. Honestly if there wasn’t a huge bruise that would be the most surprising thing about this situation.
At some point they finally reached L’Manberg and it seemed as busy as usual. Meaning it was a calm day with a few people around. Most just spent their time on their own somewhere outside the city dealing with their own projects.
The first person they came across was Niki who was busy carrying a few packets of seeds in her arms. As soon as she saw the two Hybrids she came walking over with a big smile and a wave.
“Oh! Hey guys! Who is that?”
Y/N tensed up as soon as they could tell that someone was running over to them and refused to move.
“Hey, Niki. We wanted to go mining but met Y/N here. We are showing them the city and wanted to introduce them to the people here.” Fundy explained.
Niki nodded, taking the information in “Well, it’s nice to meet you Y/N. My name is Niki. If the two are too troublesome you can always come to me for help. Also I’m sorry if this comes off as rude but I really love your antlers. They look really pretty. Can I ask what kind of Hybrid you are?”
“They do?” Y/N blurted out. An embarrassed blush appeared on their face “Oh, uh, I’m a Warden Hybid.”
Niki didn’t know what a Warden was so Ranboo gave her a short rundown, including mentioning how Y/N just threw Fundy through the air as if it was nothing. Not that he really saw it besides the flying part.
“That sounds amazing!” Niki marveled. Fundy gasped in anger at that.
Niki readjusted the seeds she was holding on to “Okay, I have to go since Puffy is waiting for me but I hope you have a good day here Y/N. I think Phil is in the middle of the city right now working on his house if you guys want to see him. Actually got these seeds from him!”
Everyone said their goodbyes and watched as Niki continued walking. A bit worried Ranboo took a good look at how Y/N was doing. While they looked nervous they still had a smile on their face. He assumed they were having fun.
“You good? Want to meet Phil? He is my grandfather, actually. He is usually a nice dude.”
Y/N massaged their own hands “Yes, this is good. I mean yeah, uh, yes. I’m nervous but I’m enjoying it.”
Fundy gave them one more look over before they continued walking, leading them into the heart of the city and indeed Phil was walking around his house deep in thought. Probably thinking about on how to improve his little abode.
“Grandpa!” Fundy yelled out happily which made Y/N flinch for a second.
Philza swiveled around only to stare at the group in shock “Oh my god.”
“We met someone new!” Fundy explained excitedly.
“Yeah, I can see that!” he yelled out.
Y/N wasn’t sure if that was good thing or not. This Philza seemed certainly surprised but they didn’t know if that was a good surprised or a bad, though if that was Fundy’s grandpa they were inclined to believe it was a good sign. They only held onto to this belief because otherwise they would be too scared to do anything.
Philza cautiously eyed Y/N “Who is that?”
For some reason Fundy seemed so proud of himself “This is Y/N and they are a Warden Hybrid.”
“Yeah, I know that! I’m just surprised that they are following you two so willingly. Wardens are usually wary if not downright hostile to other people! What did you guys do?” honestly Philza sounded more offended that Fundy dared to think he didn’t know what a Warden was. Which was fair to be honest. If anyone here knows anything about Wardens it’s probably Philza.
He didn’t wait for an answer from the two troublemaker but instead turned to Y/N “I’m really sorry if the two roped you into this. I’m Philza, by the way.”
Surprised Y/N shook their head and used their hands as well to gesticulate that they were alright “No, no, everything is alright. They offered to introduce me to some people. I don’t get the chance to talk to people often so I agreed.”
This seemed to calm Philza down and his worried expression got exchanged by that of awe “Wow. I have never seen a Warden Hybrid. I wonder what traits you have inherited.”
“Oh! They are strong!” Ranboo suddenly interjected. Fundy seemingly was still not over being flung around since he was glaring at Ranboo once he said that. To be fair he wouldn’t stop bringing it up to everyone.
Philza laughed “I feel like there is a story to it.”
“It was my fault. He scared me and I overreacted.” Y/N begun explaining what happened and how they now ended up here in the city talking to Phil. He seemed understanding but still lectured the others for being not cautious enough.
He asked a few more questions, mostly to make sure Y/N was doing alright and felt comfortable but after they sufficiently calmed him down he decided to continue with his project and leave you guys be.
Both Fundy and Ranboo showed Y/N around a bit in hopes of meeting other people but it seemed the city was empty. Apparently Tubbo was off doing something somewhere and when Ranboo offered to venture out to find them Y/N said that they were feeling a tiny bit overwhelmed and would prefer to go back to their little cave.
Ranboo didn’t hesitate and help them find their home again, Y/N even showed him the hidden little nook they were living in as thanks. It had a bed and a ton of little things and baubles they apparently made themself with the weird plants and vines of the cave. Even offered Ranboo to eat one of the weird orange fruits that hung off of the vines. It tasted a bit weird but good nonetheless. It was certainly different and Ranboo wasn’t sure if that is something he would eat a lot. Y/N seemed to enjoy it a lot though which he made sure to write down in his little memory book.
The next day Ranboo and Fundy met up again to look for Y/N. They would hang out with them for a bit but leave them alone after a short while.
This would become their routine for a while. Always checking in on Y/N at least once a day even just for a few minutes. Bringing them things that they think could be interesting for them and now and then Y/N would ask to visit the city again.
Over time the rest of the SMP learned of them as well. Most were surprised and baffled when they met them. A lot haven’t heard of Wardens and the few people that have like Philza, Dream, Fundy and Techno showed a healthy amount of respect towards them. Especially after hearing of their strength.
For quite some time whenever Y/N came to visit, which would happen more frequently and at points on their own accord, Dream would hang around them. Keeping his eyes on them. They didn’t know what to make of that but seeing as he owned these lands they felt not comfortable with telling him off for it. He tried to sneak around but Y/N’s antlers would pick it up most of the time.
Tommy loved to hang out with Y/N. He was absolutely amazed by their ability to sense almost everything around them as well as being amazed by their strength. Just to test this he asked them once to have a bit of a competition of how far the two could throw different things. It was no real competition. Y/N won easily.
Tubbo usually watched and joked with them and while he too was amazed with their abilities he was a bit more reserved, though once the shenanigans started he was very much involved with everything.
In the end they became so involved with everyone in some way that they offered them to build a home for themself in the city. Y/N didn’t immediately jump on that idea though it took them a few days before they agreed to build a house in L’Manberg. They did point out though they will probably still spent more time in their cave. Nonetheless a lot of people came together to help me them set up their own home.
It confused Y/N a bit at first that so many would come together for them. It made them feel good though and even safe. Maybe living inside of L’Manberg wouldn’t be so bad if the others are around.

Win Win Situation
dream x reader (more fluff)
from this ask -
Hello! I'd like to request Dream fluff, where they play Minecraft Manhunt with Pandas, Muffin and Gogy. The reader's a secret weapon they hold against Dream (she waits for him in the Nether or the End; the decision is up to u), since they know he really likes her and it's mutual anyways. She's capable of killing Dream with hearts to spare and in last hopes of winning the hunt, he proposes a kiss (in MC, of course) for his life (which the reader grants him). Thx in advance! 💞😊-
i love this ask vvvv much and im gonna try my best to do it justice!
It had been quite a day of filming, this manhunt proving to be one for the books.  Dream had really been stubborn upon not dying, and sapnap, George, and bad were really trying their hardest.
George was so close to getting a dream when he first crossed to the nether but it was futile as he had looted around a lot and got more armor then they even had time to find.
Dream was pretty sure he was set after proving himself with that battle against George, he had 9 blaze rods, ten pearls and a burning sensation in his stomach from the excitement of winning.

Dream was pretty sure he was set after proving himself with that battle against George, he had 9 blaze rods, ten pearls and a burning sensation in his stomach from the excitement of winning.
As he sat listening to the 3 weirdos giggling amongst themselves he thought about you, you would've been so proud of the way he's wiggled out of their grasps so many times from a boat chase where he managed to drown Sapnap by using a tnt to blow them up in a cave. A blush crossed his cheeks at the thought of you being excited with him. He couldn't wait to tell you about it later.
Lately you two had been talking awfully a lot and he was enjoying it a lot. You'd met through sapnap since you knew him for a long time. You often streamed with Wilbur or Tubbo too, Tubbo being another one of your favorite people.
Dream loves to watch the streams and videos you both make because you two are so entertaining. Dream thought you were absolutely adorable, especially when you and Tubbo are trying to figure out redstone for a new scheme or terrorizing Tommy for a bit. Most of all he loved your bed wars streams, he was always entranced at how amazing you were at pvp. He loved every bit of it.
He himself had a really hard time talking to you at first. In his defense, you were a pretty girl! Adorable, sweet, funny and kind and incredible at pvp. How was he supposed to approach you without freaking you out with his tiny little obsession.
The sound of an ender eye breaking snapped him out of his little day dream, realizing he was nearby the stronghold, he started his way down.
Unknowing to dream, the boys were just over a hill watching him just as he was digging down. Instead of following just yet sapnap sent a message on discord, to you.

he’ll be there in a second i think
y/n
    okey dokey!
There was nothing in the unspoken rules of manhunt that said nothing about a secret weapon. That's exactly what you were. Sapnap and George and bad all knew you were one of the few people that could easily beat dreams.
Dream knew it too, sometimes he liked to tell himself it was only because she got him flustered so easily, but deep down he knew you just played way too much Minecraft.
You sat impatiently waiting for him to reach the end, impatiently sitting near a clump of endermen. You were nervous and excited at the same time, beating dreams was always fun. You'd always admired dreams and his presence on the internet but after meeting him, things changed a bit.
He seemed hesitant talking to you at first but lately he had been texting you every morning and night and even called you a few times! He gave you so many butterflies just at the thought of him.
Dream searched around the stronghold looking for the portal, as he was about to turn a corner sapnap spoke up,
“Don't you guys think it's been a bit boring without..y/n” He smirked behind his computer screen as he could practically hear dreams heart rate go up just by that single sentence. He was correct with that bet.
“Duh! y/n would have had a dream dead like an hour ago '' George spoke with a knowing smirk.
“That's not true-” Dream tried to poke into the conversation when bad suddenly interrupted him.
“No you muffin, you know y/n would totally have beat your booty way back in the nether”
“Booty-” Dream was cut off once again by a fit of hyena laughter from his friends.
As they giggled he finally found the portal and filled in the empty slots hopping in quickly. He was surprised he hadn't heard the boys say anything about it with the achievements popping up onto the screen.
He was confused up until he spotted you, standing by one of the pillars.
“what?! how?! y/n? how did you- when- huh?” His flustered state was quickly made obvious by the way the boys could hear a smile even through his confusion.
You started sprinting towards him as the three boys dropped into the portal as well but not rushing over just yet, wanting to see this unfold first.
You let out a small giggle as you were gaining on him, he was running around still confused on how you were there.
“Come here Dreeeeam” You said maniacally trying to gain on him.
“Get away y/n! how are you even-”
He let out a yell as you got your first crit on him, your ax was clearly more op than his and he could tell by only one hit.
“How did you do that much damage! What are you even-”
After finally trying to fight her, he was at 3 hearts and he even had a shield.
“Okay, okay, okay, y/n hold on for a second please” He backed up a bit facing her character as she lowered her weapon waiting on his next move.
“I have..a proposition” Dream let out a breath nervously,
“What kind of proposition?” You smirked, ready to decimate him with only a few more hits.
“No! No propositions! y/n you have him just kill him so we win!'' Sapnap chimed in with George and badly agreed.
“No no guys, hold on, I wanna know what it is,” You said with a small airy laugh.
“If you don't kill me y/n, i'll give you something I think you'll like”
“Like enough not to win?”
“I hope so..” Dream started to regret this decision, he knew he liked you and he thought you liked him, but how could he be sure? He would bed George would call him stupid for thinking she wouldn't like him but he just wasn't sure.
“Tell me then, what is it?” You were getting a bit antsy, he was a wild card to you. You adored him so much but sometimes you just never knew what was going on in his brain.
“A kiss.” You definitely weren't expecting that. As Dream spoke the two words he'd been repeating in his head for minutes, you were silent, sitting in shock.
You were expecting one of the boys to call it bullshit and tell you to just murder him on the spot, but they were silent.
“A..kiss?” You weren't sure you heard him right, because you couldn't believe it! A kiss? From Dream? You'd faint!
“Yeah. A kiss. And you let me kill the dragon.” He was gaining a bit more confidence after he realized he made you nervous.
“What?! No! No kissing! Murdering y/n! Murdering!” George wasn't surprised you were considering it because he knew how much you both like each other but he really doesn't want to lose like this.
“In- in game or?” you were sure he meant in game, but you were curious.
“Well.. it'll do until we meet in person. But I'll still owe you a real one after you let me win.” He smiled widely just thinking about getting to kiss you, or even be near you in real life! he could burst just at the thought.
While he was daydreaming, you were conflicted. The butterflies that were creating a sick feeling in your stomach at the thought of kissing him were overtaking the thought of wanting to beat him. You had already decided but you knew the boys would be so angry their secret weapon had failed them.
“How about. I take both kisses.. and then you have to beat me to the dragon. I won't fight you, you just have to beat the dragon before I can” Your plan seemed full proof. Seemed like a win win situation, or so you thought.
“Sounds perfect to me, y/n” He was grinning so madly, Your character got close to his, just a block or so in front of him.
“This won't be nearly as good as it could be but, MWAH '' Dream made an exaggerated kissing noise as he jumped towards your character hitting into it, then turning and booking it towards the dragon as it was starting to perch.
The boys were cheering and yelling as you sat in shock, not at the fact that his character kissed yours but because of what he said before.
Was he really going to kiss you in real life? Your mind was absolutely swimming with thoughts when you suddenly checked back in at the sound of three boys yelling your name and the sound of the dragon dying.
“You just stood there y/n! why would you just stand there?!” George tries to sound mad but he really couldn't be. He was sure dream was on cloud 9 at that moment.
Dream was out of his chair, yelling with excitement as the boys were angrily shouting about their loss while you were still silent. Your silence was taken by a laugh, your own laugh,
“Hey y/n, can I call you in a little while?” He asked
“Yeah, please.” You said shakily as you left the discord call.
You leaned back in your chair, shaking your head with a small smile. He was going to be the death of you.
