David squeezes his eyes shut as he pulls the duvet up over his head, trying to trap whatever warmth he can get in the cozy confines of his bed even if there is no comfort to be found.

The words echo around in his mind, each one ricocheting at a different tempo, all incongruous angles and chaos, until the cacophony is unbearable.
The ache and the sadness seem all-consuming.
As far as he knows, he’s never made anyone feel anything but wrong.

The semester is finally finished! This is a style frame from my story development project. Even though I've decided to change the project's final style to something less polished, I'm still quite happy with this.
