some notes for 20.09.2023 post and a separate cut out for utena because i spent a very long time rendering her ...
the original concept i had in my head for this art was very different. it was just supposed to be a style study of this an official anime prop design art, and i'd thought to draw anthy in a similar pose across from her like in the shown version, but with her wearing her prince outfit from the manga. something something another form of female competition under the patriarchyyy stop pitting 2 girlprinces against each other omg etc
(side note, how sick would it have been in an AU where akio made anthy fight against utena in the ring? like i dont think it would hav added more to the story or made it better really ... probably would've diluted the message to be honest ... but everytime i see that manga art of prince anthy i imagine some convoluted black rose arc AU where utenas dodging anthy getting her hair hacked off left and right like himemiyaaa nooo snap out of it this isnt uuu while anthys silent and dead eyed hahaha)
but then after i drew prince anthy, the picture looked rather empty ... so i thought to add a few decals or borders in the style of the show & official arts but aaahh ... there was still too much negative space. i had to scrap anthy's prince outfit and put her back in her rose bride dress 😭 man !!! he cant keep getting away this !!! [blames akio the figurehead of patriarchy instead of taking responsibility of my own actions] which made me sad because i was pretty satisfied with the way i drew her pose and legs ! but i had to cover it up 🥲 ...
the composition overall looked better though. and then after that it kept spiraling. i just kept adding more and more things until i lost control of this drawing and it plagued my WIP folder for months ... i dont want to try and connect all of it in words so ill just lay out all the pieces for you so you can connect them yourself. and you can experience my art thought process in fraction of erraticity and frustration as i experience it myself. this is a lot neater than what happened in my head though because i bothered to put it in order. honestly if i can make you feel a little bit insane trying to scroll through and read all this than i can make you understand how annoying my brain is when all i wanted to draw was utenanthy girlprinces fighting

Stars form from the simplest of building blocks - huge clouds of gas and dust that permeate the Galaxy.

hello!!! thank you haha~ ಡ ͜ ಡ yes, the game’s original name is 时空中的绘旅人, also known as For All Time. It’s one of the 4 big CN otoges (the other three: Light and Night, Love and Producer/ MLQC, and Tears of Themis).
idk why they had to change the name smh but then again i can see why too LOL, but if you’re gonna change the character names, change for all of them why change just two?? especially since Emerald’s name is explained precisely so aksjsjs i’m so salty rn lmao
uh about the storyline, i had to try hard to not be lured into yet another game lmao (eyeing L&N akshdhd), so i haven’t actually played the game personally after CBT LOL nor do i keep up with its contents that much, so my knowledge regarding the story and the characters isn’t deep and is limited haha. also, since the premise begins in the AU world + with some other factors, i kinda lost my interest to even begin with LOL.
here’s a brief introduction for you though—
the game’s setting is the AU world ahah, and it also has personal routes. it has battle systems for leveling up your profile / raising cards. i heard it can be pretty grindy, but since i haven’t continued playing it, i can’t comment on that :>
✦ The Heroine:
she is an art student / comic artist in the modern world, but one day she gets sucked into a different AU world while watching her friend’s performance. (she’s so pretty tho u.u)
✦ Ai Yin/ Ayn:
19 years old, goes to the same school as the heroine and a pianist in the modern world. He’s a prince in the AU world, focused on his revenge.
✦ Lu Chen/ Alkaid:
20 years old, a transfer student, the heroine’s senior in a different study (Astronomy), photographer. In the AU world, he’s a mage/ high level priest.
✦ Lu Xia/ Rorschach (re-named as Lars for EN):
27 years old, the heir of a wealthy family, CEO, flirty af. In the AU world, he’s an aggressive and headstrong king.
(if you’re into the “CEO trope”, he could be your pick LOL. but if you’re looking for similarities that actually matter— then aside from just the CEO title and maybe that body lmfao, Victor and him share no other similarities hahaha)
✦ Si Lan/ Clarence:
22 years old, goes to the same school as the heroine and is the student president. He is the head highest priest/ mage in the AU world.
✦ Ye Xuan/ Emerald (re-named as Cael for EN):
An art instructor, took the heroine under his wings, gentle in nature sus lmao. In the AU world, he is the silver knight and leading the revolution.

Over all, from what I’ve seen, the story is pretty good, has the intrigue elements for sure. Also plus point, in every AU/ arch you get a common part and then you can choose your love interest to progress for the rest of the story. what it does here is that unlike Lovepro/MLQC + Light and Night main story, where the story itself is very character-driven, you need to shut your brain and consider the MC that specific love interest’s heroine for the allocated segment- or else given the extreme lengths she goes for them/ the said borderline intimacy certainly don’t cut for “just friends” tag LOL. So, if you’re someone who self-inserts (consciously or not) and perhaps is a little uncomfortable with that kind of storytelling, For All Time/ Lovebrush Chronicles is certainly one you can give a try.
For me personally, the writing pattern didn’t seem like my cup of tea + I prefer the storytelling pattern of Lovepro and L&N (singular main story + parallel dates) haha. But hey, we all have different tastes, so be sure to give it a chance if you’re interested. Who knows, you could end up with completely different viewpoints than me! (*´∀｀*)

I don’t like the rift going on between Rhiannon and Violet this book. They need each other and it’s annoying lol

I think the trouble with the writing of their relationship is that Xaden is so amazing and their relationship is so magnetic that their conflicts feel forced. The obstacles they face within their relationship are hard to develop when Xaden is always saying the right things after they fight lol Not that I’d want it any other way - but I think that’s why I’m struggling with not rolling my eyes when they get into arguments. Violet deserves to be angry about the betrayal but then it just feels like her decision on what she’ll do next about them takes FOREVER and it feels like it’s dragged out across a whole ass book.

Oooh ! I was currently wondering a bit but like you've mentioned that a few years later, Aster and Asha would likely have a daughter. I'd just ask the usual questions, I hope thats fine !
1. Who does she looks like the most
2. What relationship dynamic would Evangeline have with her parents
3. Daddy or mommy's girl ?
And a small prompt of just Evangeline running around the house taking after her father's speedy runs then cue Aster trying to catch her for her bath while Asha is like " She takes after you." JUST A WHOLE CUTE FAMILY AHWHAGQHGWHA
I just had the best ideas!
1- Evangeline (or Lin for short) would look similar to these concept arts of Asha
With the curly side fringe and the big braid. She’d have Aster’s skin tone and Asha’s dark hair, and of course freckles since they both have freckles.
She’d have Asha’s eyes and nose, and Aster’s smile and jawline.
So I’d say she looks like a perfect mix of both
2- I believe that they’d have a great relationship, with Asha being very caring and loving and Aster being the fun dad that lets her do anything. I imagine Asha would teach her how to draw and tell her a lot of stories, while Aster would be more active and just play and sing to her all day.
Basically this:
I’m conflicted if they’d tell her that Aster used to be a Star or not, because on one hand they could keep it a secret and we’d have a Melody from The Little Mermaid 2 situation where she eventually finds out and gets mad that her parents hidden that from her, but the more I think about the less I think they’d even keep it a secret, so yeah let’s say she knows Aster was a star once.
But wouldn’t it be interesting if she was different from her mom because she doesn’t want to take effort to get what she wants? And wishes she could have magic like her dad used to have and her mom still does with her drawing wand (that only Asha can use and no one else)? Wouldn’t be neat if she wished upon the brightest star on the sky for her to have magic? And then the star came down and Evangeline got to meet her SISTER??? I think that’d be neat… May or may not have started to think of a potential sequel to Kingdom of Wishes.
Anyway yeah their relationship is very cute, just two sweet parents, a spunky and headstrong daughter, and their other space daughter they didn’t know about.
3- DONT MAKE HER CHOOSE! SHE LOVES THEM BOTH EQUALLY!

For the ship game: Leopika and Hisoillu! I don't know your ship taste well so I'm just hitting a couple other big HxH ships hrjfjkjkdlgdfk hope you don't mind
Oh, I don't mind at all, Percy! :)
Hisoillu is... I mean... they are kind of sort of engaged (?) so. Yeah, it makes sense. Also, I can think of no one else in the universe who should be subjected to close proximity with these two on a regular basis hdfhbsdhj. Congrats, you're perfect for each other, just never involve anyone else in what you've got going on ever. Truthfully, I'm kind of indifferent towards it as a ship. It makes sense to me, but it's not something I actively seek out in fanworks I suppose. It's just, yeah, Hisoka and Illumi are together. Happy for them lol. I guess it's mostly because I think murder is their love language and I just... can't see them being romantic with each other in a lot of the more typical ways that characterize many fanworks. Do they want to kill each other, or are they into each other? The answer is both - the murder is an intrinsic aspect of the "being into each other" hdjfbvhd. That said, I think they have a pretty healthy respect for each other, due to probably being evenly matched, I'd say. I think Hisoka genuinely finds Illumi good company, and Illumi readily has fairly casual conversations with Hisoka. Their dynamic is kind of fascinating actually, and I do honestly think they're kind of perfect for each other. Diversity win??? Loss??? I'm honestly not sure lmao
Leopika :') I love the potential for them. Sadly, they don't have all that many interactions in the canon manga, so I would ordinarily say it doesn't make a huge amount of sense, but then we have the 99 anime and the radio skits who seem determined to ship them so hfbgjdhj I have no clue. I'm weird about this ship because I tend to alternate between "yeah they're cute" and "oh god. oh god. them. AAARGGHHH" and experiencing emotional damage hahaha. I am like this with no other ship. It's very strange to me.
The one thing is that I'm extremely picky with Kurapika characterization, in any art or story. If Kurapika doesn't read right to me, I just can't suspend my disbelief. I'm really not big on the "mom and dad" characterization, though no shade to anyone who is.
Peak Leopika dynamic to me takes into account not just Leorio's concern and Kurapika's walls, but also their mutual stubbornness and Kurapika's hilarious tendency to annoy Leorio on purpose. To me, I've always felt that he likes Leorio because he's a guy who wears his heart on his sleeve and values individual lives so strongly, so he kind of checks that he hasn't changed that much when they see each other. I think it's kind of relieving for Kurapika, in a way, to know that Leorio will always be himself - "same old Leorio" kind of deal.
I also think Kurapika is just a little shit hjgbvsjdh
But no, I love that Leorio clearly eases up some of the pressure Kurapika feels, and seems to make him feel better about things- that's probably half the reason he keeps him at arms length. I think affectionate bickering is their love language. I also wish people noticed a little more that it's Kurapika who actually seriously initiated friendship between them, not Leorio. In most cases in the Hunter Exam, it was Kurapika approaching Leorio and showing a clear interest in sticking with him and helping him pass and achieve his dream. I think it's incredibly meaningful that one of the first people Kurapika meets and takes a liking to is this guy who wants to become a doctor - the doctor that Kurapika had left in the first place to go looking for. Anyways, I'm really looking forward to see what role Leorio will play in the current arc (just to have more Leorio, honestly, pls Togashi I miss him...), as I'm sure he will eventually find out about Emperor Time and OH BOY I'm sure that will go over well.

i ABSOLUTELY have to ask... whatever happened to del? rellik's little companion in law of talos? i barely see anyone draw her now let alone even mention her, was her character scrapped? whats up with her?
Oh... sweet, sweet anon... getting this message absolutely cracked me up. What happened to Del ? She got old... hahaha.
I knew this would be confusing even when I decided to do it for my Law of Talos entry- I've told this story a few times, but when Sins-of-Angels asked me to be in the OCT, she particularly said she liked Rellik (who I had drawn tons of art of already, as he was one of my favs) and asked if I'd use him as my LoT character. I said I wouldn't know if I could- because Rellik is very stubborn and wouldn't have a reason to fight for a wish, because he wouldn't care about that. I joked that the only reason he'd join an OCT is if I, as the artist/creator, told him to.
So... So I drew that. It was a very purposeful self-insert, and I thought it would be fun if Rel and I were more argumentative vs wish-fulfillment where I was powerful or cool. Then I also went with the "gets sucked into your character's world" (this is before isekai was really big lol) and the awful things that could happen to a normal person in that world.
I've always doodled chibis of myself with monkey + cat features so that just was part of my character too.
TL;DR Del is legit just me hahahaha and now that I'm older and I don't do as much meme stuff, I really have no reason to draw myself these days. I also would say there's a bit of negative self-deprecation in the way that I portrayed myself that I just don't have the same feelings about anymore.
I'm very glad that the Law of Talos fans can enjoy the LoT version of me/her and just kinda run with it and make it something new :) that's really cool to me. Though seeing RP blogs or posts of your self-insert character is always very surreal xD but I did this to myself lolllll YOLO

interesting question! first, i think it's very special that you had the opportunity to study at an international university and i am glad to hear you had so many amazing experiences!
i also feel like i need to preface anything i say with... holidays are obviously different from living, and i hope people can trust that i wouldn't base an entire lifestyle decision off, like, being a fan of taskmaster lmao the state of politics, brexit, housing, prejudice, and more make it difficult to say i'd want to commit to life there — plus i really love new york city, where i do feel at home
that said, i would be open to living in the uk for a period of time, yes. i am certainly very motivated to visit a lot of places, particularly in england, and decided last year to start spending a month or two over there every year (this year i think i will be in york! maybe i can post a little about that if people care). the history and motivations behind that decision are really personal to me, but it feels...right. i am really looking forward to my time there this year and treasure being someone who works remotely and can make that happen
living permanently, it's hard to say, but speaking for my interests in history, architecture, art, cinema — it would be wonderful to explore those things more in person, yes!
i really think in the 6+ years of this blog this is the first i've ever been asked about music! which makes sense ofc it just took me by surprise!
hmmm i think this playlist most accurately expresses what i'm listening to a lot of the time + a lot a lot a lot of classical music, some dad rock, and a few balladeers like judy garland and rufus wainwright
i don't claim to be the world's biggest comedy buff or keep up the best with all of the comedy coming out of the uk and american industries — even though i do enjoy it so much! — but growing up i was very interested in comedy writing. in high school, i worked at a dvd store where people could trade in their old dvds for store credit to buy new ones, so we had a HUGE selection of not only new releases but older, sometimes nicher stuff that you typically wouldn't see at a suburban american blockbuster-like shop. i can't stress how formative this was! i would always go through the store and "beautify" the shelves (pulling all the spines up neatly, keeping everything alphabetised, etc) just to constantly look through what we had in stock, grab the old black bar criterion films before some movie buff snatched them up, touch all the special editions (physical releases were more than just steelbooks back then, like stuff like this). each of the employees had a little shelf in the back room where you could store dvds you wanted to buy when you eventually had the money, keeping them off the floor so no customer would see and buy them. i was always reserving 30+ dvds at a time and spent my whole paychecks at work hahaha
anyways, that's how i found a lot of the random british films i ended up loving — by people trading them in or me just running across them at the store: a cock and bull story, death at a funeral, this is england, gosford park, monty python, (particularly holy grail and life of brian), confetti (didn't love this one but it had a lot of actors i really liked in it so i remember watching it quite a few times) and more — but especially withnail and i and in the loop. i was fucking obsessed with in the loop, which i watched on a loop (zing!) and was ultimately how i worked my way backwards to the thick of it as well as shows like the office uk, alan partridge, green wing, fry and laurie, peep show, and more. (the thick of it and peep show were particularly everything to me!) i still have all of the dvds from the dvd store i worked at! lol
in terms of american comedy, i was obsessed with the state and then their groups' projects like wet hot american summer and reno 911 (michael showalter is a great example of a writer/director i don't think is one of the greats but follows his heart & vision, and i really respect that; my fave of his, which is genuinely so good, is hello my name is doris! underrated lil treasure). i also really loved it's always sunny, flight of the conchords, party down, arrested development, jackass and wild boys, and house md, and some of the wild characters on bravo lmao. we had this channel called logo that was my lifeline to queer content before i really had full-time access to the internet outside of a shared family computer, so i was always watching reruns of jeffrey & cole casserole, the big gay sketch show, plus the l word and queer as folk, and they also did syndication of reno 911 (but i already had all the box sets of that 😭). i was never heavy into the judd apatow/bro comedy that was so big in the 2000s, and even the 80s–90s american comedy heavily influenced by the talent at snl wasn't particularly engaging to me; of that, my favourites were probably throw momma from the train and a couple of romcoms
+ every panel show i could get my hands on! and i think because i was really engaged with sketch comedy i was also reading a lot of playwrights, especially alan bennett, harold pinter, and edward albee, who i had (and have!) huge collections of
and, yes, so many of these are at the foundation of my very favourite formats and styles of comedy: mockumentaries , black comedy or dark comedy, existential comedy, stories rooted in reality or plausibility / domestic dramedy. i used to be very engaged by sketch comedy and wanted to crack the science behind writing funny sketches, but i do think i've moved away from that format and filled that void with the improv nature of panel shows (it works for me the way i think the format of podcasts work for so many other people... i wonder if anyone will relate to that comparison)
comedy evolves so much by the decade and i appreciate a lot of the ways in which it has grown, so i don't think of it as a then vs now, which is better, whatever. and like you i can't help but revisit my nostalgic faves often!
i do think eventually he will! but rn he's lapping up that tv money hahaha my very fave is firing cheeseballs at a dog, but they're all genuinely great!

Can i jump in the train of stories with older man that maybe are not appropriate but changed my brain chemistry???? I had a couple ones with my art teacher at highschool.
He was so mean and snarky, he hated his job but still did it pretty well, and even more that he had to. He kinda hated the rich and unpolite kids in my school, but he always was so nice and polite when he wanted(? Like he was the type of teacher that enjoyed failing students.
We used to talk a lot about many topics and kinda gossip about some of my classmate that were rich kids who tought they had more right to everyone in the room. For more context I went to this private expensive school but I had a scholarship and grew up kinda low income in and old town before moving to the current city were I live, so it was so hard to me to adjust to this new environment, we kinda get along instantly, as we both hated be surrounded by rich children and the religious ideology of the school.
He used to wear cartoon ties, for example spongebob or looney tunes and I remember one time were we bump into each other at break and I saw he was wearing a Tweety tie and I said to him "oh my favorite one is Taz" And the next day he was wearing a Taz tie.
I didn't want to thing anything, but then I had art class with him and he approached and told me "see? I'm wearing your favorite?"
okaaayy want me to clap to you or something😭?? God I hated him.
Anyways, I had a looot more stories with this teacher (nothing creep i swear) he was so kind in the inside and help me a lot when my life went hell at the time, got a special piece of my heart. He send me his greeting time to time with my lil brother that now goes to the same school.

What is the main lesson of your story (e.g. kindness, diversity, anti-war), and why did you choose it? loosely, i think it boils down to all three of those in some way. not really the anti war part. its simply the tale as old as time: the Evolved were erased from history and want to live among the Humans without fear or hatred, but the Humans are doing what they can to push them down. So...diversity in a weird fantasy way maybe?
What did you use as inspiration for your worldbuilding (like real-life cultures, animals, famous media, websites, etc.)? regional gothic is the biggest world building inspiration i have. everything i place into my little wip world is always followed up with the question, "okay now how do I make this thing make the reader feel uneasy?
What is your MC trying to achieve, and what are you, the writer, trying to achieve with them? Do you want to inspire others, teach forgiveness, help readers grow as a person? MC is trying to achieve peace between her two worlds that collide, and I'm trying to achieve (for my readers), a thrilling and heart-warming story to escape their own worlds; as Catherynne Valente did for me and many MANY others.

When and why did you start writing? I answered this in an ask (thanks!) but ill elaborate more! I was around 8/9ish years old when life became a little too hectic for me to have to live in every day; so I created my own through fanfic, and I never, ever, stopped. maybe one day Ill write a short story based off of the man and his shark.

In the Deltafell AU, Are Host and Mike a couple while having Tenna and everything?
omg the Fell AU... Literally, my friends and I were literally talking about it just days ago LOL And then I briefly spoke about it in another Deltarune AU server... Is the call coming from inside the house or is this Ask a coincidence?
But I haven't worked on my take of it ever since I made Tenna, so it still only includes Mike and Host and no one else hahaha
Though I have been quietly rotating the idea of a Fell Klieg lately, but this isn't about him

Uhh geez yeah Host never even got a finished Fell design, I wanted them to look a lot more femme than vanilla Host but I never truly found a proper direction for it
Mike is Mike, he's still tiny, and I couldn't get him not to wear pink so he settled on a fashionable hot pink instead, but that's beside the point
Recap of these two is that their meeting and backstory might have started the same as their vanilla counterparts. But the difference is that rather than Mike staying a broken mic with a broken body that didn't work, they uh... Found an alternative solution.
All the Microphone Darkners are detachable from their bodies, so Host being the silent terrifying behemoth they are, took matters into their own hands. Mics are such a common darkner type, who would notice if a few of them were to start going missing?
When his body was to start giving out, Mike would gladly use himself to lure his fellow mics to Host, posing as a helpless Microphone being chased, only to watch as his loving spouse would… What's a nice family-friendly way to describe the act of forcefully ripping those mics off of their bodies and killing them? Hands that hold Mike with such care, just as easily crushing those like him… All so he can get a new functioning body to hold them with…
Truly, is this not what love is? I feel like no matter the AU, M&H will always be a couple, no matter what… I feel they'd find each other in every universe...
Characterization-wise, they're both a lot more villainous, naturally, neither hold any remorse for the lives taken so that Mike can continue to pilot bodies that simply do not belong to him…
Somehow the knowledge that Host can very easily kill him is not lost on him, if anything, I think he finds that to me the most compelling part of it all… Host on the other hand, too loves their wonderful husband… And much like their vanilla counterpart… They will not hesitate if someone dares lay a hand on him… They simply have little care for morals in the Fell AU
The overall lore of their vanilla counterparts has evolved a lot since I last worked on the Fell AU, not to mention all the adjustments that had to take place when Tenna was added to the timeline and a lot of things had to be shifted around… They went from "Just some guys" to "Dark World leaders" so that's ever so slightly different
I did not consider how Tenna would function in this AU, or if he's even viable at all LOL I don't really have a Cable AU Fell Spamton to work off of, since his presence does end up defining how Tenna feels about Mike and his own presence in the world.
But at the same time, imagining M&H as that trope of the evil villains that are just the nicest parents ever is very fun to imagine hehehe
Vanilla Tenna is a bit wimpy no matter how tough they try to seem, and I image Fell Tenna being a bit more assertive or even hostile hehe
I feel like they'd either be super chill about their parents' habit of just killing mics (And using their power as Dark World Leaders for other purposes) and not care, or they're actively against it… I'm inclined to believe the latter since Tenna's thing is also being an awkward opposite of his parents, but him being against their villain acts also makes me wonder about how M&H would feel in this AU. I can't imagine them resenting their own kid, even as edgy villainous versions of themselves…
I'm also unsure of how/if the Flower Shop Tenna storyline is even a thing in this version of the AU or not. Tenna's disappearance affected the vanilla universe so much, and I feel like Fell M&H with a missing kid would very much go on a killing spree to find him LOL
I don't know! These are just random brainstormings and what ifs… Maybe if I ever feel inclined to do anything with this AU again, I'll try to concept a Fell Tenna hehehe

Nim Sketch Dump
as promised, here's a big sketch dump of my sona/oc nim! this isn't gonna be a popular post and I don't care 👍
I didn't originally intend to post these so I've referenced some art works heavily but I've written the name of the artist and I'll type it out too! if any of the artists see my references and is uncomfortable with it please let me know and I'll remove it from this post :D

the first ideas for his "modern design" (he's been around and recycled for a loooong time). the pose in the top right hand corner is taken from @/hiraethminds! they are a very cool artist and inspire me a lot. though the grey-ish tones as the major colour goes away I still really like the centipede tattoo, centipedes are rad as fuck and you can't tell me otherwise
I started to play with the idea of a goat design for him here! which is strange because like. that's not even his main design or motif or anything, I just really liked the idea I guess LMAO also Aurelai belongs to my mate of the same name! she's not on tumblr (yet) but you should still like her because she's cool and awesome
a treat for my qsmp enjoyers!! an unfinished short comic I sketched on the day tallulah lost her first life. the other characters in this are my old ocs, don't even worry about them
I straight up just have the image that inspired me in this one. its by @/sss-eriema and it was a gift from GOD. I was trying to sort out the colours and wanted to incorporate both orange (my favourite colour) and green (my close second favourite colour) but wasn't having much luck. eriema's artwork showed me that it can work in a more muted way and it was very very helpful!!

I started to get the colours down in the bottom right corner!! I really like this sketch page honestly. some bonus self portrait sketches because I wanted to try and put some more of my own features into his design as my sona! also in the notes I was debating between the two eye shapes and I'm still thinking about it. I think the bottom ones fit his personality more and are way more expressive but I just like the Vibe of the top ones

I'm starting to ditch the goat design but this one is my last hurrah. basically settled on the general colour scheme now! and more qsmp stuff. its literally gripped my brain I can't escape it, even in my personal work
then I realised. nimbus-BUGS. bugs! what if bug? this was a really fun study for using more creature features that I wasn't used to! loving the mandibles tbh
my most recent sketch as of posting! I might update this later, but this sketch page is probably the most gratuitously referenced, the expressions in the bottom left and top right were basically ripped from @/microwavablesquid so if you like those please check them out! the basic design structure of the full body was referenced from @/aresonist, retroactively I realised a lot of my design choices. uh. they also made LMAOOO so if my design in General tickles your brain, follow them!
as for his lore and basic information for what he actually Is, uhhh. ??? I don't know HAHAHA he's a little guy! he's creature! is he human? probably not but no one could say for sure! is he bugs? is he 1000 bugs in a trenchcoat? sometimes he's goat I guess??? I can never decide on a design and I think that aids his cryptid-like habits. he shows up sometimes, vibes and can't die in a way that matters! he has a running motif of my fake-God-thing, the centipede ouroboros, so I was like "what if he was a harbinger of the ouroboros, what then." and I like to imagine he has video game logic where when he dies, he basically respawns. also weirdly it's worked out in a way where he has lots of biblical motifs, like my name is literally nimbus, like the halo, and he's a messenger of a god like some fucked up blorbo angel. also lily of the valley is my favourite flower and I like drawing him with it, it also has lots of symbolism in the bible?? wild.
I sincerely doubt it but if you guys have any questions about nim or want to draw him or anything I would Die. I would just keel over. you'd take me out.

You Haven't Seen Everything
Winter, 2021
"But getting out of Miami," Axel continued, placing another bag of cocoa on the scales, "that was something else. You ever seen infected on rollerblades? No? You haven't seen everything yet."
"Great, can you just concentrate on the merchandise, please?" Tess gestured to the pile.
"Oh sure, sure. Don't worry, I do this all the time."
Axel, with his shaved skull and toxic green mohawk bristling down the centre, gamely nodded at the scales as he pulled off the Ziploc bag and added it to the pile. He was a new contact. It had been worth travelling to this middling little New Hampshire town to meet him, but Joel was starting to think it wasn't worth the noise.
He leaned up harder against the wall like he could burrow his spine into the plaster and disappear. They were dealing in an old art supplies store, turned over and trashed, the wasted materials swept up against the walls like snowdrifts. Axel had set up a table in the bare centre and was scooping cocoa powder from a massive tin into the little bags, weighing them one by one. Tess sat opposite. Joel could see the patience sapping out of her with every breath Axel took.
But cocoa was a hot, rare property right now. It was the first time it had surfaced in the Boston QZ in years. Certainly not in the eleven since they'd made it home.
"I was hiding out in this Olive Garden? It was right on Miami Beach. All these infected staggering by on wheels. I just know that we got wheeled clickers down there. Board shorts and bikinis. That's something, right? Yeah, I seen some shit down there. I was in this golf club? You know the little carts?"
He looked between a silent Tess and a silent Joel.
"You know the buggies?"
Silence.
"Yeah. So there's these little buggies. You drive around the course on them. Just enough room for you, your buddies, your clubs. Make the caddy walk, though! The caddy, he goes after your balls. Not your actual balls, like your hairy gonads, but your golf balls. They hand you your clubs."
Joel slowly filled up his lungs. Axel slowly filled up the bags and carefully weighed them, one by one.
"I was hiding in this golf club. Beautiful place. Big ocean views. And we went to war, not against the infected, but against the club across the way! You talk about your gang wars, you know, but these rich old guys went to war with each other riding buggies like white Arab chargers. You ever seen old guys in polos whacking each other with putters out the side of a buggy? No? You haven't seen everything yet."
Tess stood up. "That's our cut. You're done?"
"Huh? What? Oh."
Disappointed, Axel watched Tess load her backpack up with the precious bags of cocoa. The trade - FEDRA-grade antiseptic, water purification tablets and a bottle of lube - sat on the edge of the table. Tess reshouldered the pack.
"Thanks. You know the frequency. Buzz us if you get something else interesting."
"Sure, sure. Let me show you out. So after the gold club, I thought that was too much for me, I got on this Greyhound bus. You know all the urban legends about them, right?"
Axel led them down the back, cheerful tongue wagging to the very end. Joel's chest began to lock up and his palms tingled.
"You ever take a Greyhound bus back in the old days? Overnight? Those were wild. You ever see that movie, Midnight Cowboy? Anyway I got on this bus. And you know who was on it? The Army of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. You ever seen Mormons fighting the forces of Satan in sunny Tampa? No?"
Tess gave Joel a slight nod.
He grabbed Axel by the scruff of the neck and turned him ninety degrees. He banged his face against the wall, hard and just once. That was all it took. He let go and Axel's unconscious body slid bonelessly to the floor.
"You haven't seen everything yet," Joel muttered.
Tess lifted the bar on the door and they stepped outside into the crisp winter afternoon. They were going to have to book it if they'd make it back to their own Olive Garden before dark.

Hi! I don't know if u have answered this in the past or not because I couldn't find a post about it, but I was wondering maybe undertakers lockets originally belonged to claudia herself, because all the dates on the locket are between 1830 and 1866( except Gilbert d that some say that the date is 1884 but it can also be read as 1862). I don't know,maybe she gave them to him before her death and he added her locket after she died, because if the lockets belong to him than why isn't any more lockets after 1866? Anways, just wanted to know ur thoughts on this
Hey Anon ! Thanks a lot for searching before asking, I really appreciate it! And nope, I don't think I ever answered a similar question (here's my tag for anything related to UT's lockets). :))
So, I don't know how long you've been around in the fandom, but there was once a huge debate about the date on Gilbert's locket and it turns out that both dates seem to exist in official concept art (1862 and 1884), which means ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ that anything is possible depending on which date is actually correct.
More than Gilbert's locket though, the locket that makes me believe that these are UT's lockets (and not, say, Claudia's), is because of Molly/Mally's locket, because she died in 1837 and Claudia was 7 years old back then so... just on a vibe check, this locket and Claudia's (although you're right, he could have added it afterwards) make me think that these lockets always belonged to UT.
I have no real proof, it's just one of the many things we still need answers about so, for now, anyone's guess is as good as mine. :))
However, Gilbert's and Molly's lockets aside, I personally find it interesting that these lockets might all be acquaintances/evil nobles/victims of UT or Claudia during Claudia's time as the Watchdog (especially since I think UT was the previous Earl Phantomhive):
Claudia P. died July 13, 1866
Alex B. died April 20, 1854
Oliver A. died November 13, 1840
Emile C. died June 18, 1848
Harry E. died October 11, 1841
Gilbert D. died November 1, 1862/1884
Molly/Mally G. died December 10, 1837
I mean we always assumed that in this scene of ch35, UT was mentioning that he made similar remarks to our!Ciel, Vincent and Claudia, but for all we know he also meant that he warned all his lockets.
Another theory I once had/discussed with other fans was that Alex B's locket is actually Bravat's grandparent, which could help explaining how he ended up involved in this arc. Far-fetched for now obviously and anyway, until Yana's answers, all we can do is guess, hahaha. :)

How it feels to start over? I don't feel anything except momentary melancholy and nostalgia from time to time. I do miss the many people I met and some of the experiences I had-- but with the new messy changes to the Twitter / X app, I found it difficult to enjoy the company and the experiences when the base is built poorly. It's like... enjoying tea time altogether but the ground is wobbling and you keep worrying when the floor is going to collapse. I just think my works and my mains deserve better than that.
Moving to Tumblr (again), Instagram and Bluesky wasn't so bad. If anything, I feel more free now that Twitter / X is not what I see everyday. I no longer worry about the need to do fast information-processing of real or fake news, I don't see people hating on each other as much as I used to, no more modern generation jokes that I tried so hard to get and say, the expectations of posting everyday, no more of the parasocial people that want me so much and the mountains of other people's expectations that suddenly fell onto my lap the moment I hit 6k-7k followers that time... It's now just me, my sketchbook and my old small house. It's always been. Many followers or not, I've always been that.
A lot of people seem to forget that though. Others that have strangely begged for me to play games with them while some got very overthink-y or obsessed with me as if I'm some idol... now treat me as nothing, after I left Twitter / X. Thank God they woke up. It's most peculiar that others seem to worry or be so affected by my followers and account more than I ever will be.
I don't think it should ever matter if an artist is no longer on a mainstream platform (unless they wish to make a financial living out of being a community or fandom artist). I don't think me removing myself from a broken app should mean I'm suddenly lesser than who I was back when I never had an account or when I had a small following.
Without the audience I built and dearly miss, I'm still a sketch artist. I miss them all very much though-- and I wish them all well. And it's not like they're gone, hahaha. Many are still here and I'll always be thankful of their continuous support and love.
My main house is Tumblr and Bluesky while my little treehouse is Instagram-- and truth be told, I'm rarely on them since I have a good but challenging job now. I also went back to reading my old and new books, haha!
But anyway, if me losing that Twitter / X account means that I'm now nothing but some visitor on the internet that loves to sketch her imaginations and home? Then, good. People finally remember that I am and will always be exactly that.
