I have a hot take about Giyuu but I am. Frightened

Sorry OP, feel free to ignore this ask but I need more context. I watched a playthrough of the dlcs, and I'm now checking the wiki, and the reactions to your post really confuse me. Why are people talking about Carmine as if she's this awful person. People are talking about Carmine like she is constantly bullying and belittling her brother??? When she actually goes out of her way to try to not make him feel bad??? Which is really hard because Kieran has a lot of insecurities and it leads him to assume people want the worst for him???

Am I missing something? Is there a secret subtext of "Carmine is actually really mean to her brother behind our back and that's why he's Like That" I missed or are people just making stuff up?

lol, i think you've understood more than most people who've played the game

now, to be fair to those people: Carmine REALLY does have an attitude problem, as well as a terrible temper lol (but that's what makes her so entertaining!... in my opinion) and since Kieran is the character she interacts with the most that's who has to bear the worst of her bad traits, especially when he pushes back at her. in addition, Carmine is the older sibling, so i think we have a natural instinct to side with or at least feel sympathetic towards Kieran since we see him as the "weaker" party in the dynamic. their designs and animation only reinforce this- Carmine is tall and has a lot of aggressive body language and poses. meanwhile, Kieran is introduced peeking out from behind his sister, like he's literally hiding behind her. he's short, hides under his hair, has a lot of more drawn-in body language, he's a scrunky scrimblo wimbo meow meow wet little so on and so on

so, for the record, i think it is by at least some design that we are meant to "root" for Kieran, but i think that also ignores a lot of more subtle writing- "subtle," i say, but in my opinion, it's pretty obvious, lmao. Pokemon is a series for children. but yeah, the big one is that after time it becomes really apparent that a lot of Carmine's attitude is born out of deeper things- she's harsh and kind of controling towards Kieran in a misguided display of her protectiveness towards him, her hostility towards visitors to Kitakami is born of a worry of tourists turning their home into some sort of attraction

this is dipping into headcanon territory, but i think it's also a little subtextual that Carmine's overblown pride is her trying to overcompensate for what she inteprets as being looked down on or mocked. my big thing for this is the fact that Kieran speaks with a "Kitakami dialect" (based on real Japanese dialects associated with rural areas) but Carmine doesn't. (supposedly there's some random dialogue where she talks about this but i haven't seen it myself yet) since Carmine has been at the (ritzy, attended by a lot of students from important families) Academy longer than Kieran, i've always interpreted this as her trying to intentionally not be the kid from the sticks that talks in an "uncool" way

and finally- this may just me speaking from experience- but i always thought that a lot of Carmine and Kieran's issues clearly are really heightened by the fact they're teenagers? lol? puberty dials all your emotions up to 110% and smashes all delicacy with a sledgehammer. Carmine is TRYING to help Kieran but all of her feelings are constantly at a boil. and meanwhile, as you said, Kieran's self-esteem issues constantly lead him to project on other people and assume that everyone's mocking him or looking down at him, and i think that makes people forget that he has problems with being overdramatic and lashing out too (THIS IS NOT ME SAYING KIERAN IS A BAD CHARACTER DON'T YELL AT ME)

and for the record, as much as i love Carmine, i think that GF really dropped the ball on her reconcilliation with Kieran and her overall role in Indigo Disk, which may also be a factor in players being less sympathtic to her, but i already spent way too long on this and talking about my mixed feelings on Indigo Disk will probably double this post's length lol

in short, while i have some mixed feelings on Scarlet/Violet's overall story, i definitely can't say the character writing is bad. i think they're really making an effort to think about why each character acts the way they do and what they're actually thinking/trying to do. so i think we players should, in turn, approach them with the nuance they deserve

He wished that he could say he had never spoken that way to anyone, but that certainly wasn’t the truth. Ironically enough, he never thought of himself as an explosive person, but maybe it’s inevitable when you mix alcohol with a temper-fueled fire already blazing with ferocious anger and resentment. You hadn’t started the fire within him. You were just one of the many pieces of the bridge he was hellbent on destroying that night. Managing to make three different people hate you and erase you from their memory in one night had to be a personal record for Matt. He knew you wanted an explanation, but he didn’t have one. 

Was it even salvageable? All Matt could see was ash, nothing really left to restore. He wondered, what was the point? He couldn’t take back the words that he said. And maybe you could forgive, but you wouldn’t forget. He made sure of that. Perhaps you two could start over, put on a brave face for one another, pretend that the past wasn’t hanging around your heads like an ominous storm cloud threatening to pour at any moment. Maybe that would work. But it would be as effective as putting a bandaid over a bullet hole. Sooner or later, there would be nothing but blood. 

Why did he do it? How did it come to this? When did you become these people? Maybe Matt lashed out because he felt you slowly slipping away. The sun once rose and set with you. There wasn’t a moment you weren’t speaking, talking about your days, baring your souls to one another once the early hours of the night crept into the sky. But then Midland Circle happened. The he happened, and somewhere along the line, the messages came fewer and far more in between. You had both changed. You were out living a life he didn’t seem to play a leading role in anymore while he was still putting back the pieces together of his, and he was torn between feeling indignant and remorseful. But the blaze of anger didn’t even start because of you. It was someone else that lit the match. 

But you were the one out of them all that stayed.

Maybe Matt resented the person you thought he was, because he knew he could never be that person. You had this vision of him in your mind; gilded and polished. A man that was intelligent and kind, charming and passionate, maybe fucked up from time to time but always with the best of intentions. He wanted to believe it. He wanted to believe he was the man you saw. Not the moody asshole that destroyed everything he had built, except the barbed wire fence he encompassed himself in to avoid letting anyone too close. He wanted to be good, and he wanted to be worthy of your compassion and faith. But maybe he knew the truth all along, that he never would be.

So what do you do when you wanna bury all the evidence? To avoid being caught as a fraud and imposter who never should have come into the picture in the first place? Burn it all to the ground. Pour gasoline over everything you love, strike a match, and set a fire that burns so bright even God himself can’t fucking look away. And you do it with all of them until there’s nothing left. And if you wanna do one damn thing right, you set them free. You set her free. You take whatever’s left and your last match and you do the right fucking thing. 

So that’s what he did. 

He took whatever was left of that fucking bottle and poured it over himself instead of down his throat, taking his place among the embers and waiting for the flames to destroy everything that he had become until there was nothing left.

Maybe Stick had been right all along.

You said that you needed time and space. He nodded, mumbling something that resembled an understanding, but he knew that you were gone, and you were never coming back. It was all gone. There was no second chance, no miracle, no do overs. It was done, and it was his fault. You were the flame that lit up his darkest moments, and he had put you out. You weren't perfect, but you were one of the best people that Matt knew. 

He always told you that you deserved more than the way people treated you that had claimed to care, yet he had been worse than all of them combined. Matt felt foolish for all of the times he had sank to his knees in desperation, begging God for someone, anyone. He begged for a sign, that his life wouldn’t always be plagued by trauma and pain. Maybe you were it, and he took it all for granted. 

You said you would call when you were ready to talk, so Matt waited by the phone. 

And he waited. And waited. And waited.

Daemon SFW Alphabet

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

When the mood takes him, Daemon can be very affectionate - his go to moves are the forehead touch and the hug from behind. If he's not in the mood, he prefers to be left alone. This man likes his space.

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

Daemon isn't great at having friends, to be honest. He'll have decided from day one that he's going to have his partner, so any interaction he has with them will always have an ulterior motive.

In bed before sleep, after waking up or after doing the do, sure, he's all for having his partner draped across his chest. Any other time, he prefers a lighter touch and doesn't want them up in his space.

Daemon wants to settle down, but would look at his partner like they've sprouted another head if they were to suggest he cooked or cleaned. "Have all of the servants died? You can fuck right off."

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

Bash their head in with a rock lol Daemon is very direct, he'd tell them in person, probably be quite harsh about it and not mince his words.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

He wants to get married, but is incredibly fussy. Daemon needs to be sure that he's related to marrying the right person, so will take his time.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

Emotionally, Daemon is a little constipated and can be an insensitive arse, however, he cares deeply for his partner. He can be incredibly soft physically, in the right moment. As soon as things turn sexual though, all bets are off.

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

In private moments of intimacy, Daemon will approach his partner from behind and wrap his arms around their waist, while resting his chin on their shoulder. The rest of the time he's a little more reserved.

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)

Very slow to drop the L bomb. He'll feel it long before he ever says it. The instances he does say it are usually loaded with emotional intensity. It's not a phrase he throws around freely, but his actions mean his partner never really doubts his love for them.

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)

Daemon is extremely jealous - not because he views other people as a threat, but because he views his partner as his and he doesn't like the idea of people touching what belongs to him.

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

Daemon's kisses are intense and passionate and reserved for private moments. He loves to kiss his partner's lips, but will got feral for having the spot behind his ear kissed.

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

Daemon is super dad, he's great with children.

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

Daemon likes to sleep in, he'll lay in bed for as long as he can get away with, with his partner tucked into his side.

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

He's a night owl. He'll stay up reading and likely go to bed after his partner is already asleep. Has no qualms about waking them up if he's in the mood though.

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

Daemon keeps his cards close to his chest, but will gradually start to open up as he gets to know someone.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

Baby's got a temper and he's not afraid to show it.

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

He'll give the impression that he's retained very little information about his partner, but he remembers everything and will show it subtly - i.e. his partner once mentioned they really enjoy the feel of Myrish silk and on their name day they're gifted a gown made of that exact fabric.

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

The first time his partner tells him they trust him. It knocks him for six. Nobody has ever told him that, or put any faith in him. It makes him blue screen a little, but he treasures that moment always.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

Daemon is extremely protective - he's slashing with Dark Sister at anyone who so much as looks at his partner with anything less than the utmost respect. He doesn't really want or need them to do the same for him though, he can handle himself.

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

Daemon loves to spoil his partners and will throw the entire kitchen sink at special occasions.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

Foul tempered. Prone to sulking.

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

Very. That man loves his hair and finery.

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

He'd be sad for a bit, but life goes on.

Loves it when his partner reads to him. Will happily lay with his head in his partner's lap with his eyes closed and listen to them read aloud.

Daemon is a heavy sleep, he goes to bed late and wakes up late.

Nightmare: Well... he won't judge you as long as you tell him what to do during those times. Do you want him to treat you like a human, or should he treat you like an animal during those times? He would check up on you during it and pretty much just leave you to do whatever you wanted to do. Just don't make a mess, and he won't be too upset.

Killer: He would throw a ball to see what you would do. If you chased the ball, he would find it the funniest thing and keep doing it. Of course he wouldn't bully you about it if that was something that really bothered you, but he has to do something to poke fun and tease. He doesn't really understand what you're doing, and he might question a few things, but meh. He's a good boy. Speaking of! He'll call you that a few times. (he's bullying, but not in a too mean way)

Dusty: He finds it strange, but not in a bad way. He's just going to need you to explain it to him and tell him exactly WHY you do it? It might seem like he's judging you, but he isn't! He is just confused. During the time that you're regressed, he'll take care of you and make sure that you don't hurt yourself, but sometimes he might have to leave you by yourself if he feels like he's going to lose his temper. He's, uh, not the best with animals.

Axe: It might seem strange, but he really likes it! He thinks it's fun, and he loves animals. He hoped that you would be able to handle other dogs, though, because he has two emotional support dogs. I, uh, don't really bring them up that often because I keep forgetting lol but hey! That's cool. So he doesn't mind that you regress into a dog, and he might need you to tell him how to treat you during those times. He's just, uh, kind of confused lol.

Notes as i think of them below

- as i mentioned bertie is perfectly capable of being friendly and charming and hospitable, its just my fault for enjoying drawing him as a brat the most. despite being his VA i actually overthink how to write his dialogue sometimes- I tend to think of an Alberta Accent (tm) - to some degree including my own - is kind of terse. I feel it would be weird for him to speak in too many complete sentences in a row, lol, and even when he’s being polite he’s a little choosy/stingy with his words.

- I also think he has a very particular mental idea of what he Means that it’s your fault if you didn’t understand, i.e. he Means whale watching in either ocean is a Different Experience but not realizing what he is implying is that one is Better. He may be economical with his words but it doesn’t mean he puts thought into them lol.

- I think Annie struggles between projecting someone who is polite and very aware of decorum (hence ben bringing out the nice cups and saucers) and also being hot tempered, nosy, and bossy, lol.

- Song Ben is singing is Up All Night by Derina Harvey Band

- forget if i mentioned, the flower on the cups is the pitcher plant (provincial flower of Newfoundland) and the panel where Bertie is dunking his shortbread features wild roses. the rest are just decorative flowers.

- he gives a damn about whales because ben took him to Between Breaths and made him cry

My favorite part of switch is erens pov when he just cant control himself even when mikasa is doing absolutely nothing. In general, eren trying to control his urges is so hot in every au like man is gritting his teeth thinking unholy stuff, barely manages to keep his hands to himself and then just going for it is just tooo satisfying to read. I mean i love mikasas povs too but erens povs are always so unhinged and borderline obsessive I often end up wishing for erens pov in literaly every fic

omg ur like me, whenever I read fics I LOVE Eren's POV or even just the guy's POV it's refreshing and I love the jealousy and emotions you get to experience reading both POV's. Like ugh, even in manga, my fave is Ao Haru Ride, and I love reading from both Kou and Futaba's POV bc i'm like U IDIOT WIN HER BACK! But then in her POV i'm like omg yes make him jealous girl, it's kind of fun lol!

But writing male POV is wild, it's fun, but it's also difficult bc I'm a girl so obviously Mikasa's POV comes easier and more natural, especially during smut, I feel like it's easier to write sometimes from Mikasa's POV than Eren's lol!.

bUT I TOTALLY GET WHAT U MEAN! Eren is hot, especially if he's written correctly, ur so right that he can just become unhinged and fucking go off bc that's 11/10 in his character arc, this is the mans who lowkey had a little temper tantrum at the idea that MIkasa would forget about him!! MANS COULD EASILY BE FERAL!! AND I LOVE TO BE A PART OF THAT! Here let's give u some thirsty Eren lmfao!

With Christmas comes baking and well, fortunately or perhaps unfortunately for Eren Mikasa absolutely loves to bake.  Which means cookies and sweets galore. In the past week since Christmas break began, she’s made biscotti, short bread, sugar cookies, white chocolate cranberry cookies, and even his favourite, chocolate haystacks. 

So currently, Eren is battling his desires on two fronts: the desire to binge her entire tray of freshly baked short bread, and the desire to lay her out on the counter while they wait for them to cook and lick the icing off of her cheek himself.  Instead of doing either of those things, Eren sits himself down on one of their barstools, placing his hands firmly in his lap and carefully tells her about the icing on her cheek.  “Oh, thanks Eren,” Mikasa beams, wiping the sugary substance off with her thumb, before licking it up just like he wanted to. He’s jealous, so very jealous, especially as her pink tongue darts out for another taste, suckling the whole digit between her lips. She tops it all off with these cute little noises of satisfaction, her eyes shut tight as she tastes the fruit of her labours.  “Yummy,” she tells him before going back to stirring up her bowl of chocolate where she’s currently trying to make hot chocolate balls, her next baking experiment.  So, not only does the kitchen smell heavenly, there is also melted chocolate and icing everywhere. 

He should leave, he really needs to leave.  His gym bag has been sitting ready to go in the hallway for a half an hour now and yet he’s still no closer to leaving. In fact, with every batch of cookies and treats Mikasa makes his motivation actually decreases. 

The timer on the oven beeps and Mikasa gives him an excited smile as she goes to pull out her next creation, her beloved gingerbread.  She carefully places the trays on top of the oven to cool, leaving the door propped open for a moment, a wave of heat assaulting her. 

“So hot,” Mikasa complains before taking the opportunity to strip off her third layer of clothing today, her little green Christmas sweater, leaving her only in her sports bra.  And this is what he means by his motivation being sapped with every batch, because when he first walked by, she was wearing his hoodie on top and a pair of sweat pants. And now, now she’s got nothing on but spandex, a sports bra that barely covers her tits, and a cute little apron that’s going to be the subject of all of his fantasies tonight.  She stretches her arms over her head, yawning as she gently kicks the oven door shut, “I’m getting tired.”  “You’ve been baking all day Mikasa, you can take a break.”  He needs her to take a fucking break or he’s never going to be able to leave, he was supposed to meet Armin at the gym a half an hour ago. 

Mikasa hums, “It’s okay, that was my last batch, I just need to finish off these hot chocolate balls.”  She beams at him, giving him a small smile as she comes back to her chocolate work station, “I’m going to make one for everyone Aunt Carla and Uncle Grisha and my family too! And maybe even Sasha and Armin if I have extra.” 

He's not going to make it through. 

Much madness was one of my favorite One Piece works. I'm still not over your idea of m!Madeleine where he ends up in Tottoland bureaucracy as the most well adjusted one because canon Madeleine is.... a person with an unique mind. If you can write any more deftails on that whether it's how he interacts with siblings (i.e. Cracker), his daily life, or any of his true self that peeks out from his warm kind mask. I'm not picky.

Hello and thank you for reading! ... I actually had to go back and dig up that old post haha. But yes, m!Madeleine! In which Madeleine is a Well Adjusted Individual, but only if you compare him with his alternate Madeleine personas and, like. The Charlotte family in general lol.

So, m!Madeleine is very calm and mild-mannered in the day-to-day. Cracker still doesn't get along very well with him in the beginning ("Just look at him! How am I supposed to trust that face?" "... What kind of excuse is that, Cracker?") and it's precisely because of that affable front. He gets along with everyone, and Cracker refuses to believe that anyone can be that good-natured. His brother is definitely plotting something!

Eventually, though, m!Madeleine gets tired of all the pointed needling and snarky comments and pulls Cracker into a sealed area via Dream Dream Fruit. In the tried and true fashion of a lot of shonen manga out there, you become friends after beating each other up with your fists.

... Or well, not friends, but Cracker is definitely a lot less twitchy around m!Madeleine after finding out that he's a person who does have his own limits just like anyone else out there.

On m!Madeleine's part... y'know, I kind of feel like we should probably stop calling him that by this point. Macaron? Let's go with Macaron.

Anyways!

So, on Macaron's part. Even though he'd been unwillingly stuffed into the bureaucracy things by Peros at the start, he still does his job well. And he comes to take a certain sense of pride in watching over his siblings and keeping everything running smoothly on the island. It also helps that Big Mom is very much Not Interested in paperwork or anything of the sort, so she's never around the administration buildings. Win-win for everyone all around!

Macaron is content to ignore Big Mom for the most part, but he eventually grows to care for his siblings. Bloodthirsty idiots, the whole lot of them. He loves them anyways.

Katakuri and Cracker and all the others out there, constantly fighting so others in the family do not have to... it's not a job Macaron would ever wish to take upon his own shoulders, he doesn't think he has the stomach for it. But he can respect his brothers for the sacrifices that they make, for the sake of the family.

It means that siblings like Macaron and Brulee can remain safely within Totto Land and support them from the back. Keep everything in the territory running smoothly. Take care of all the younger siblings that they have, give them a safe environment to grow up in-

Macaron is a fairly laidback person, by and large. It makes him the number one Charlotte that people want to use as their point of contact with the Big Mom Pirates. He's the only one in that insane family who's not insane! Who will sit down and talk to you all reasonable and polite and you'll never have to worry about Macaron getting irritated and pulling a sword on you out of nowhere when he suddenly loses his temper.

Looking at you, Cracker.

... Anyways. There's a lot of things that Macaron can overlook and politely pretend to forget -as long as it doesn't threaten his family.

He's not a fighter like Katakuri or Cracker, but he's far from helpless, contrary to the impression that most people have of him. When Urouge and his crew breach the nursery, Macaron is actually reading a story to the young ones. The young man lifts his eyes, and very carefully does not frown, knowing that his impressionable little siblings are watching him -knowing that they take their cues from them, and so he has to remain calm and unruffled- but it doesn't stop him from clicking his tongue.

He'll have to go over the island's security measures with Peros after this.

"You have," he says flatly, "Exactly five seconds to turn around and leave. If not... I won't be responsible for what happens next."

Armed with nappies and toys and holding a colorful picture book, Macaron certainly doesn't cut a very imposing figure. The Fallen Monk Pirates laugh at him.

Macaron nods, and closes the book. Then, wholly ignoring the enemies in the room, he turns towards his little siblings.

"Let's play a game," he smiles. "Close your eyes and count to thirty. No peeking! Good children who listen will get an extra treat in their afternoon snack today."

"B-brother, what-?"

"Shhh. There, there. Be good, hmm?"

Then, Macaron turns.

Sleep, he commands, and the power of his Devil Fruit flares to life around him with a nightmarish glow.

"Oh, I'm really out of practice... Brulee is going to be so cross with me for making a mess like this... ah, Pudding! Good timing, sister. You know, I'm a little surprised that there's not many yandere!Mc fics in the fandom. I know yandere bros are all the rage - and I get it, it is extremely hot. But every time I read a dom demon yandere fic my eye can't help but twitch because the pact. I know that in a yandere au the boys probably wouldn't make a pact with you knowing their plans. But, still!

Though, I can't really see any of the bros really being all that bothered by a regular yandere. Like, even if they're controlling their social circle many of them don't actually go out and have friends that much lol. I mean, Levi is a shut in, Belphie sleeps all the time, Beel likes hanging out with his family more than other people anyway, Lucifer spends most of his time doing paper work instead of socializing.

Really the only kind of Yandere I can see working out as being well, a yandere, is a controlling one. Someone who sees this dysfunctional family and deciding to fix it themselves. Instead of a murderous and jealous yandere. The boys are demons, so I doubt they'll really care if you kill their classmate. Instead I think they'll find it cute.

I imagine that this yandere sees it as their duty to bring this family back together. So expect a lot of "therapy" sessions were you take two brothers and force them to talk about their problems.

I can see this yandere going down too different routes. The soft yandere, were you're just basically a family therapist trying to get the bros to get along.

Or a controlling monarch of the family. Down this path you're a lot more controlling on what the brothers can do and who they can see. You pick out their outfits, and deal with insecurities. When you think Asmo is spending a bit too long doing his make up and sit behind him and command him to tell say that he's beautiful inside and out, he doesn't need the makeup. You set a bedtime and expect your demons to follow it. Every time they lash out you treat them like a toddler throwing a temper tantrum. Commanding them to sit in the corner and think about what they done.

It's extremely patronizing.

But if the brothers voice their concerns you simply scoff. Saying that you're just taking care of them!

Honestly, a lot of the story makes a lot more sense if Mc is a controlling, delusional yandere. It explains why you're so willing to forgive Belphie after he killed you. Because to you it was another family fight. Maybe this Mc isn't even getting the pacts for Belphie, but instead for themselves.

Circling back to the pacts, a lot of people seem to forget the power you have on them with the pact.

They're literally powerless to stop your advances. Unlike regular yanderes you don't need chains to keep your darlings in line, instead you simply need your voice.

God, I bet the bros didn't even realize your full potential with the pact until you used it. Oh and what delight reactions those would be!

I don't know if this is canon, but I don't think Lucifer has every been in a pact before. Like, it took some very specific circumstances for you to get it in game. So having someone have that much control over him is frightening in the wrong hands - in your hands.

Since the bros are like, so whipped for you, I imagine that they can ignore quite a few of the warning signs in the early stages of the relationship. You want one of more of them walking to school with you? Oh, you're still a little worried about those other demons! You don't like them talking to other people? Oh~ are you jealous~? Wow, humans sure are needy!

It isn't until you use the pact to command them to sit with you does warning signs start to flag up. Some of them might even be willing to talk to you about it. Lucifer would complain about needing to finish work. Levi would shyly ask you to be more gentle with your commands, since they're so powerful. Asmo would whine and say that needs time to put on his makeup.

But you would just smile and say that it's your right to use the pact, right? They gave it to them for a reason, right?

The scales only start to tip into concerning when you start forbidding them to leave the house. Mammon would complain about missing shoots. But you would shot him a puzzled look. Asking why would be need to go to shoots when you have all the money he could never want?

Besides, you never liked the fact that his photo appeared in magazines. That so many demons had a chance to look at your demon.

stan is definitely mike. there is no doubt. it's obvious. their families and lives are basically the same and their personality is pretty much alike! they're both paladins too??? like??? they're both seen as selfish at some point but they're just struggling! they hate feeling vulnerable and are really really stubborn when it comes to arguments. they have this inferiority complex they try to hide with their savior complex and both of them have this extreme fear of not being enough and losing the people they love!

kyle has to be will because he's super best friends in a definitely not gay way with stan (i had to make byler and style happen okay). they're both smart, sweet, love their families, they're done with literally everyone and follow morals and righteousness! maybe will isn't exactly like kyle because he loses his temper over nothing (it often is because of cartman, really) and is able to go to extremes sometimes. but i do think that when they get mad at stan/mike they're pretty much the same! and they fight for what's right and tbh they've been through a lot and they're trying so hard give them a breaaaak

I also love Hopper and El. He obviously cares for her, but the way he treats her sometimes is just questionable. I understand it's part of his learning to be more open, but god, that s2 fight was something. He also didn't even apologize after. He waited till the end, and thus, El ran away. In s3, he threatened a 13 year old child with violence, even though he had this talk with Joyce scenes prior to that. It's just too much. I see that he loves El, but he's in no way best dad of the entire show. El is a traumatised child, she needs someone who can regulate their temper better so they don't constantly trigger her ptsd. Like her whole life she was surrounded by violence, she needs someone who understands that. And if he gets to be the father figure for the Byers siblings? Both of those boys are sensitive as well, their dad is violent. Hoppers angry outbursts could potentially be triggering for them as well. (Not to mention Joyce.) Obviously I still love them it's an interesting dynamic but Hopper isn't the amazing dad the fandom makes him out to be. I still hope he grows so he can be emotionally there for the people around him

Ted, on the other hand, seems to not care, but I truly think that's false. Just because he isn't involved with the UD, he still shows up. He's there at the end in s1 talking to the medics to make sure Mike is okay. He wanted to talk to him earlier when Will was found dead, but Karen stopped him. Yes, he makes comments that indicate ignorance, but I don't doubt he doesn't love his kids or that he doesn't care what they are up to. The other parents also have no clue where their kids are for the majority of time, nor seem they to be worried that much. I think his treatment of Holly in s3 shows he loves his kids, like him cuddling her is the reason why Karen stops sleeping with a teenager. So yeah, both Ted and Hopper care in their ways but can't show it properly. I know their behavior is greatly attributed to the 80s idea of what a family man should be, meaning the breadwinner and not seen as weak and emotional. I think neither El or the Wheeler siblings feel comfortable going to their dad for (relationship) advice. Hopper would yell and Ted would redirect it to Karen.

But then we have the Sinclairs, Lucas's father is goals you can clearly tell by the way Lucas handles conflict his dad is amazing. Or Bob, who was patient and kind towards Will and Jonathan. Who made sure that both kids were comfortable. But he was "too boring" I guess, I still stand by the fact that he should have been with Joyce over Hopper.

i was going to start with past-present-future, but i’m not really feeling that kind of spread with the cards i pulled, so i’ll just go by my own intuition. hey, it’s tarot, i can do that.

starting with the wands: page reversed, knight, king, 10. it’s giving…adventure and exploration. he wants to get out there! he wants to see what he can do on this brand new level! yes, the 10 is saying there’ll be challenges to overcome, burdens of responsibility, need for help from others, but the king is saying not to worry about it, he’ll overcome it, he’ll rise above. it’s also saying leadership. nudge nudge. who knows what that means. wink

onto cups. 4, 5, 7, queen reversed. the 5 was initially reversed but the powers that be (vibes) told me to flip that fucker back around. this suit is giving insight into some of the challenges he may face through the early days of his career, like insecurity, searching for his purpose, contemplation, and plenty of hard choices to make. i did want to point out that one of the reversed queen’s keywords was “martyrdom,” which. well. i won’t go too far into that, but i just felt the need to point it out.

i pulled one pentacle card for him, the king, but he was blocked to the right and the vibes from that particular set of three were so icky i just had to throw them back into the deck and forget they ever happened. no particular reason why, but intuition is the name of the game here.

the only sword i pulled was a reversed 3. it shows recovery, forgiveness, and moving on. the challenges from the cups won’t be the death of him. i did pull this card again when i was figuring out my approach, and i also pulled the 5 of pentacles reversed. both of those cards are strong on recovery and forgiveness. moving on was also reiterated from the 5 of cups i got earlier. my bet is he’ll come out of any challenges having grown and learned. kid apparently cannot hold a grudge with the amount of forgiveness in this spread.

finally, major arcana. the hierophant reversed, the hanged man reversed, temperance. the main thing i’m getting here is the forging of a new path and how it will take time and be risky. unclear how it’ll turn out.

overall i think his career will be fine. from the whole spread i got the sense of an overarching theme of creativity and new approaches to challenges. i think some of this spread was probably influenced by the fact that i really couldn’t give a shit about the hawks, so it’s a little bit vague and the details are foggier than usual. i do hope he has a good career, but it’s not looking to be in my line of sight. but 화이팅 anyway buddy 👍

Balthier knows how much Nabyrie misses the proximity to the sky above that living in Bhujerba offered her (especially because, after all they went through, they are now living in Balfonheim Port under cover), so, when he sees that Nabyrie is more melancholic than usual, he would surprise her with a short trip to the Skycity, where they would also meet with Nabyrie’s brother and confident, Niraj. Nabyrie, on the other hand, knows that Balthier loves his wardrobe and loves to dress up for the role (he is the leading man, after all lol), so she loves to gift him fancy robes and garments that she knows he will love to wear around and that she also loves to wear when he is not around, so he would often ask if the clothes are really for him or for her. 19-How do they make up after a big fight? With lots and lots and lots of cuddles. You see, Nabyrie, despite the mask of quiet calm she usually wears, has one heck of a temper (much like her father Halim), one that definitely matches Balthier’s, so when they fight, they FIGHT. And because they are stubborn as heck, both of them, sometimes they need someone to actually make them see reasons (and this role is usually filled by either Niraj or Fran, it depends on who is around). Nabyrie’s anger, however, has the tendency to melt away quicker than Balthier’s, due to the fact that in her past, her unwillingness to stop and listen before getting angry caused her great grief. So she has the tendency to be the first to approach Balthier, who usually just melts away once he feels her embrace. It’s not unusual for them to still start bickering while still embraced to one another, but at that point, they are just on their way to making complete peace between one smooch and one playful jab. Balthier is a fox, he knows that if he starts giving Nabyrie some smooches she will just melt. He knows. HE KNOWS.

Chris & Thalia

10-Do they like surprising each other with dates/presents Because of their busy lives and how the unexpected is always bound to happen (looking at you, Chris), they don’t have the tendency to surprise each other with big events such as dates (they tried more than once, and something always came up that just screw up those plans). So, after learning that lesson the hard way, they decided to just NOT come up with surprise dates. However, presents are another matter altogether. When Chris is home from whatever expedition he was busy doing, Thalia would always make sure to buy him a “comfort basket” with all the things he loves, so that he can enjoy his day off in total relax. As for Chris instead, the biggest surprise presents he sends to Thalia are usually her favourite take-out being delivered directly to her office, especially when she is super busy working (and when dealing with the BSAA and the number of hours she works, she forgets to eat properly more often than not). Usually, he writes to her a small note too, and more often than not, the message WILL make her blush at the most inconvenient time. 19-How do they make up after a big fight? Chris and Thalia are a fiery couple, both with short tempers, both extremely and their fights reflect that. They have short tempers, Thalia can pack a mean verbal punch when she is enraged, and Chris can become as abrasive as sandpaper, so this can generate lots of sparkles. Of many different kinds. wink wink nudge nudge So, we can say that after they had the chance to cool off a little bit while away from one another, they end up more often than not having reconciliatory sex (the adrenaline always runs too high for these two, and with Chris being a werewolf, even more so). After they are done, in the immediate aftermath, they spend a good deal of time just cuddling up and apologizing (and probably going for a second round of sex, this time around sweeter in both nature and pace. The praising would be A LOT. *wink wink nudge nudge*).

Armand & Artemis

17- What do they get up to on a night out? With Artemis and Armand you can never really know what they will up to doing. It can be ANYTHING, from a dinner out (although they always end up bickering on WHAT exactly they are going to eat, considering the profound difference in nature when it comes to their sustainment) to a night at the Opera (which usually ends up with Artemis falling asleep in Armand’s arms because she finds it too boring and because if normal Opera is dramatic enough, Vampire Opera is ten times worse) to even just a normal walk in the park (to which some fellow vampires jabbed at Armand, telling him he is bringing his mutt out for a walk. Needless to say, Armand was *PISSED*). But without fail, their favorite way of spending a night together is by reenacting their “catch me if you can” play that they had going between them more than a decade. Armand would be the one initiating it, more often than not, and Artemis is always game for it. She loves to come up with strategies to outsmart him, and more often than not, she succeeds (to Armand's own delight. He loves getting caught by her and is always impressed by how she manages to outsmart him. Let's say that the "Gomez and Morticia" vibes are true for these two, but more on Armand's side than Artemis).

“What were you talking about with my wife?!” He exclaimed, approaching Valerio who just a moment ago was calmly packing up his stuff. He raised his head and rolled his eyes, “Don’t you dare rolling your eyes at me! Answer my question!”

Valerio sighed heavily, “I think since you met her, she told you everything. There’s no point in repeating her words.”

“Are you kidding me?” Emilio scoffed, “I can’t believe you can be even more annoying.”

“I can say the same about you,” Valerio replied remaining calm, “I don’t know if the purpose of your visit was yelling at me and slamming my door, but I have to go.”

Valerio was about to take his bag, but Emilio pressed it with his hand and stood in front of him, not letting him go, “So, now, you’re ‘a calm and wise Señor Álvarez’ again, yeah? You don’t need to play that role to me. I saw your true face.”

Valerio took a deep breath to keep himself calm, “It was a mistake what happened then. I can assure you a behaviour like that is not common for me. I’m not you, after all.”

Emilio’s breath got rapid, and clutched to Valerio’s bag. He was about to speak, but was interrupted, “You know, Emilio. I genuinely feel bad for your children. Considering your temper, I bet you always take out your anger on them no matter what they did.”

“Don’t you dare talking about my children! Do you really think the way I treat you is the way I treat everyone? Lower your ego, Álvarez. And you know, even if you were right, you’re not the one to teach me how to take care of children. And an explanation why I changed it. Now, when I translated and got a chance to re-read it, I can clearly see why, lol. Firstly, this is way too negative and heavy with no particular reason, plus I think this is a bit blank? Like, it’s supposed to be an emotional scene, but eventually, it’s just two grown up men yelling at each other.

Anyway, the main reason I changed it (and I changed it quite quickly, actually. While translating, so this scene never got a chance to be translated until today) was Valerio’s OOC-ness. I mean, generally, Valerio is a soft and empathic person, so this behaviour is actually not common for him (unless you make him like super furious, but you need to be extremely annoying at this point), especially considering what he learnt about Emilio just a moment ago. He genuinely understands how he feels and wanted to help him (yes, maybe deep inside he also hoped it would make Emilio leave him alone, but then, he really prioritized Emilio’s feelings, not his own safety)

Which leads to another reason. Valerio’s final decision towards Emilio will be, well, quite questionable, so him being kind during this scene also makes him more complicated. He’s not just a scared mean man who wants to protect himself at all costs, forgetting about others. He’s a genuinely kind person who wants to defuse conflicts and find solutions to get along with Emilio.
