Way back when the crew was only four people, (Seafoam, Octo, Ellie and Louis) they got caught in a great storm while out at sea. Becuase there was only four of them, they didn't have enough hands on deck to control the ship.

The Undyne one is a bit vague.. I pictured the group has a run in with an Undyne. She is able to maybe separate Papyrus from the group and even capture him. Maybe her Papyrus is dead or he's on the other side of the underground. For one reason or another she knows this is "not Papyrus". So she questions this imposter to his face.

..But Papyrus is silent. Its been so long since he's heard Undyne's voice.. he suddenly cant speak..

Now the Alphys is actually an older character in the AU. I mentioned that at some point early on the gang found an AU with an old Alphys. This Alphys had made a bunch of robotic arms for Monster Kid in all different sizes.

Well since MK is all grown up, some of the smaller arm models don't fit him anymore. So she gave some to Goner Kid! I didn't really have intentions for her to come back into the AU in any major way. I just felt like drawing her :)

My Welcome Home AU is kind'a all over the place becuase of some changes I'm making to Sally and Poppy.. <XD But I can talk a bit about Julie! She hasn't changed much--

The idea I have for Julie is that her and her sisters are actually these huge grotesque monsters.. much more horrific looking than they are in canon. Anytime anyone saw them they'd run away screaming.. Julie grew up knowing that she was scary and people are afraid of her becuase of her appearance..

Now at some point when she was little, she discovered the Neighborhood. She would see Wally, Barnaby, Poppy and Eddie walking around every now and again. She wasn't sure why.. but she was so fascinated by them and their lives. Something about the way they walked, the way the talked, how they dressed, how they sounded, how they looked. She loved all of it.

She was so fascinated by the Neighborhood and she dreamed of becoming apart of it one day. But she knew that she couldn't show up looking like.. this.. so she used the Neighbors as a reference and began to drastically alter her appearance.

No one has horns, so she was able to greatly shorten hers and make them look more.. cute! All the residents have 2 eyes so she shall as well! Poppy has pretty eyelashes.. so shall she! She cant get rid of her tail but she can make it shorter and cuter! Wally, Eddie and Barnaby all have 4 fingers. So she shall as well!

Now the feet.. She never saw Wally or Eddie without shoes on.. but Barnaby is always bare foot. So feet paws she shall have! A lot of her form was transfered to her mane-hair! To her hair- :DD

Now she was trying to get her legs to be shaped more like Wally's. So she altered them a bit and began to practice walking. But she tripped and fell, letting out a yelp!

Someone heard her, and came looking.. Since she couldn't use her new legs yet- she couldn't escape-

..Poppy found her. .

Julie hadn't completed her transformation from "monster" to "person" yet! So when Poppy saw her she thought she blew it. Surly Poppy would run away screaming upon seeing this horrible monster.. when I started shipping it if I did: pilot episode kiss, ngl, where it establishes that they must already be on-and-off hooking up in between sniping at each other about classified information. Lucy just shows up at her apartment!

my thoughts: when I watched this show I was genuinely bewildered by how this CBS procedural NCIS spin-off....just has a whole-ass lesbian romcom happening in its first season? The S1 finale literally ends on them getting together via a grand gesture with the rest of the team cheering.

anyway, they're so fun! they hit a lot of dynamics I like - Lucy loves loudly and openly while Whistler is brittle and contained, they have tension with a history, the height difference is cute, and man, maybe for a different ship all the drama in 1B would've been too much, but for these two I loved it, and not just because Whistler made the best kicked puppy faces while pining hopelessly

my random headcanons on when they each realize they're gay is that Lucy realizes in middle school and Whistler realizes in college, not too long before Noah's death. Don't think anything in canon contradicts that

What makes me happy about them: they're so ridiculously fond of each other. The consistent hearteyes they aim at each other while engaging in tropey shenanigans and still being individually competent agents makes me very happy. When it comes to the relationship angst, I like that for them it's never closeted/sexuality angst but their very different personalities, the usual fwb-to-lovers difficulties, Whistler's big mistake, and working together. They've been no less delightful as an established relationship in S2 and S3 - I love how much the show loves them, they literally got a ficcy-as-hell undercover-as-couple subplot last episode with all the usual gimmicks

Oh, I also did not anticipate how much physical fighting this procedural would have, and as someone who always wants my faves to get wrecked, I have been very well-served. Lucy almost dying while undercover right after Kate crushes her heart! Whistler getting injured while they're broken up and Lucy yelling at her for it! Such good food. (Show, you can keep beating up Whistler every season, I will never complain.)

What makes me sad about them: Their families, and the resulting loneliness. Lucy talks about her sister and brothers like a youngest kid who used to be close to them but isn't any more, last ep she commented that she knew from a very young age that her parents would never throw her a big wedding like her brothers', the way she gets set off by "financially responsible" as a rationale + her family's money has implications there. Kate's confession of how she shut herself off from the world after Noah's death.

But I like that they know about these things for each other (the way Whistler goes "Right. Right." at Lucy's comment tells us they've talked about this before), and the way they're navigating around and disarming each other's landmines here

things done in fanfic that annoys me: I understand that this is the danger of stepping back into another blonde/brunette live-action f/f ship but I cannot deal with those epithets. Or "taller woman"/"shorter woman" either, all of it always makes the PoV character sound like she has a complex about hair or height. It is okay to use the characters' names, I promise.

things I look for in fanfic: .....I've become such a hipster about characterizations for these two. Lucy is the one who broods and contemplates her feelings, Kate is the one who acts without thinking and gets surprised by her own reactions. Whistler is the one with better work-life balance and hobbies, who moved from DC to Hawai'i and stayed there despite the former being way better for a fed career, who goes surfing every Saturday morning without bothering to be contactable by work, and Lucy is the one who describes her life as consisting solely of "work, gym, and [Whistler]" and sometimes does paperwork on the weekends.

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Gosh, I really have no other Lucy ships. For Whistler, I could 100% ship Whistler/Tennant if it was like, after the kids are grown. Why do they stand so close to each other in that 1x14 coffee conversation and say each other's full titles, or have Whistler demonstrate career-threatening levels of loyalty to Tennant, if not to make me contemplate this ship? I hope Sam Hanna's presence doesn't mean we don't get any Tennant-Whistler stuff this season.

My happily ever after for them: Just keep on being badass agents together and stay in Hawaii long-term. Don't really see them having kids, but I can totally see Lucy convincing Whistler of having a cat. ...Maybe get a shorter bed, does Lucy really have to climb that high every night XD.

who is the big spoon/little spoon: lmao I was going to make a comment about Lucy jetpacking because of course she does, but the bed comment reminded me that that they have 10 billion pillows on their bed. One weekend morning Lucy is going to sleepily think she's spooning Kate and find out she's actually hugging those pillows, having been abandoned for the Dreaded Ocean.

what is their favorite non-sexual activity: does sparring really count as non-sexual for them it might really be meals at home? They both cook, they enjoy a quiet night in after their truly hectic cases, and they can put on GBBO or one of Whistler's preferred history documentaries afterwards.

No, literally every character: Jack, Alana, Bedelia, Margot, Mason, even Will’s wife god bless I cannot remember her name but she deserved better *shakes fist at Will* etc., all acknowledge the transcendent romantic bond btwn them and no one questions it. Well, no one questions it thru the lens of performed queerness. Tbf ppl had a lotta questions about the like probable impending multiple murders which validsisjwh

These are just 2 ppl who’re in love with each other to the point of being uncontrollably homicidal Which like … goals? Like I’ve really wracked my brain and can’t think of another queership that unfolds like every other hetero ass love story. That is to say, where fluidity is more the default, at least to the extent that no one talks about the orientation of either players within the show’s universe. Regardless of whether Bryan Fuller intended that from the start which tbh I don’t think he did but I also don’t think it’s fair to call it queerbaiting. I think he let the story unfold and realized kinda with the rest of us that this was a magical!realism romance and not a crime procedural and by S3 leaned tf into it doesn’t really matter bc the universe in which these two exist to truss each other up like Christmas turkeys aka foreplay symbolizes so much more to me than whatever it was initially invented to be. So I already made a thread ranking(?? Judging?? I dunno lols) all the Azul ships I care about and so here's a post with headcanons for them and I have important things to do but shhh don't remind me and I won't remind you :)

We Best Love: Episode 1 [BLIND REACTION]

So, I have a girl friend who is fan of this show and finally convinced me to watch it. Did I make a mistake? Who knows.

But I collected my thoughts and decided to do this. Well, this is gonna be long so get ready. I'll edit with my afterthoughts (note, EAW means Edited After Watching [the episode]) once I'm finished with season 1, or maybe before. We'll see.

Anygays, Gao Shi De and Zhou Shu Yi seem to have this kind of rivalry since they were basically on diapers. They came out of the womb wanting to throw hands with each other.

But Gao Shi De seems to be the naturally gifted, always on top, and so Zhou Shu Yi developed some sort of inferiority complex, or so it looks like. (Wow, this reminds me of yet ANOTHER story and ️‍🌈 ship that started in a similar way -if you know, you know-)

Annnnnd he went back to the pool. Man, this is were it all started. The flashbacks from episode 1- oh wait.

He's actually making me feel bad, ngl. Maybe it's the acting, or that I understand the whole "why not me" situation. Mitski taught me well.

It's hard. Friendships and relationships are messy, specially when someone is still young. You also have to deal with a lot of feelings being even more irrational than they should, and the inferiority complex definitely doesn't help, making you feel so insecure about yourself, and as if no matter what you're always going to lack something.

I might barely know them but at the end of the day it's no one's fault, really. You can't control how you feel, or how others feel.

I'm dying for more tension, Yu Xin knows what I'm talking about, she also has to finish her thesis.

So, that went quicker than I thought. It was compelling tho. I still need more to form solid opinions, but I´ll bite, I'm interested to know how this develops.

Luna McCallister/Garmadon: Master of Dreams, long lost Garmadon daughter who?, big fucking nerd. I have no idea when she and Lloyd realize their related but it makes their interactions at the comic store beforehand a lot funnier (for reference: she is about 2 years older than him)

Jonathan Borg: heir to Borg Industries, curious about the supernatural elements of Ninjago, knows about something he probably shouldn't. His place is not fully figured out yet but I feel like he's gonna start wanting to prove more useful after S7 to mixed results, esp bc his sister is way cooler than him

Willow Whispernight: yeah check back later chief I am reworking her ENTIRE lore lmao. Currently also connected with nature in some way and Jasmine's step-sister

Notes: NGL I am obsessed with this ship atm, it’s like the only thing I wanna write right now XD Also yeh I think Shang and Kuai’s relationship would end up being very toxic here, but hey. Kuai’s got a lot of internal guilt over things that he really shouldn’t be feeling guilty for, and Shang is basically completely taking advantage of that fact. Although I do like the idea of Shang sitting and kicking his feet and giggling while watching Kuai beat people up so idk, maybe that’ll do it for someone else too lmfao.

Kuai hissed as his fingers laced the bruise very quickly forming on his cheek. At least it’s not my eye this time. He usually walked away from these cage fights with far worse. To be fair, tonight's opponents had been particularly pathetic. Worst of the worst was some prick who thought because he ran with a street gang that made him hard. A few well aimed punches and kicks had hopefully humbled the asshole.

Although knowing Kuai’s luck, he’d gather all his gangbanger friends and try to take him out for disrespecting him or some bullshit like that.

Kuai looked down at the envelope of money on the side. At the very least he had enough to keep him going for another few weeks. Maybe even enough to splash out on a cheap motel room for a night or two. That’d be nice, I could use an actual bed and a night of just watching shitty TV shows.

He supposed, in reality, there was still a bed for him back with his family. It wouldn’t be so bad right? At least he’d be with Tomas again…

As if to remind him why he left in the first place, the scar on his face began to ache.

No. I can never go back. He sighed miserably to himself, grabbing the envelope and shoving it into his backpack. Sorry Tomas. It’s probably for the best you don’t see what I’ve become.

He was brought out of his musings by the sound of the door opening. Expecting it to be Kabal or Kano coming to inform him of the next fight they’d want him to do, he turned his head. Only to find it was neither man, or even any member of The Black Dragon that Kuai was familiar with. He was a man of a similar stature to Kuai Liang himself, long hair and a very fancy looking suit. So fancy that it was completely out of place for someone to be wearing at an illegal fighting ring.

“If you’re looking for the toilets, they’re a little further down,” Kuai informed the man, jerking his head in a motion to indicate which way the man needed to go.

“Actually, I’ve found exactly what I was looking for,” the man replied, a strange smug tone to his voice that made Kuai wish he was in the ring with him so he could get away with punching him for it. “Scorpion, am I correct?” Kuai frowned at the man, hoping to prompt him to clarify why he was looking for him. “Although I assume that’s not your real name.”

“Kuai Liang,” he snapped, although why he told the man his name at all was beyond him. For all he knew, this guy was a cop or something. Then again, he doubted Kano would let a pig get this far into the club.

“I’m Shang Tsung.” He held out his hand as if to offer it to shake. Kuai did not respond to it.

“I’d rather you tell me what you want,” Kuai hissed, hauling his backpack over his shoulder. “I have other places to be, you know.”

Well, really he wanted to try and get a good place to sleep for the night. His preferred spot was kind of in high demand, an isolated bridge by the river. No one really went down there at night and it was mostly sheltered from bad weather. It could only fit about 4 or 5 people under there, so it was a bit of a rush to get to it before it was full.

“I have a proposition for you, if you are willing to hear me out.” Oh. Great. A proposition.

“I’m not interested in whatever pyramid scheme you’re trying to peddle.” He hated that his snappy words seemed to cause the man some sort of pleasure, at least that was what the smirk on his face suggested. “Now if you’ll excuse me-“

“I can assure you, what I am offering is more than worth your while,” he tried, holding his hands up as if to try and block Kuai from leaving. Kuai just rolled his eyes. “It would include you having more stable living accommodations, if that takes your interest at all.”

Kuai paused, feeling a strange cold overcome him. “How the hell do you know I’m homeless?”

“Kano rather does have a habit of rambling once he’s had a few beers.” Shit, of course. Really it could have been anyone from The Black Dragon who told him, but Kano did make the most sense. Loud mouthed bastard. “I’ve watched you fight for the last few weeks, and I can’t help but think your skills would be better suited elsewhere.”

Kuai stayed silent. He had no idea where this was going.

“I work for Miss Sindel Von Edenia. Are you familiar with that name?”

“Wait, you don’t mean that woman who runs that one crime family or whatever? Outworld or something like that?” Kuai was confused, that was one of the biggest crime networks in the city. So much so there was no way in hell they’d bother with someone who committed petty crime at best like himself. “If you work for her, what the hell are you doing in a dive like this?”

“We like keeping an eye out for upcoming talents in our field.” Kuai huffed and rolled his eyes yet again, this guy was so pretentious. “And I am personally seeking out a bodyguard currently.”

“A bodyguard?” Kuai asked slowly, finally realising where this conversation was going.

“Well, bodyguard, enforcer, I am in need of someone good with their fists,” Shang Tsung chuckled, ambling towards Kuai slowly. Once close enough, he gently took Kuai’s hand in his, rubbing his thumb along Kuai’s knuckle. “And from what I’ve seen, you are exactly what I’m looking for.”

“Why me?” Kuai asked, wanting to rip his hand from the other man, but the part of him that longed so much for such a gentle touch stopped him. “There’s dozens of other guys fighting in that ring on a weekly basis. Why me?”

“Maybe there are.” Shang Tsung tilted his head, a small smirk on his face as his eyes swept Kuai up and down. “But none of them look quite as enchanting when covered in blood as you do.”

Kuai choked on his own spit, as his entire world went red hot. He’d been propositioned enough times to be somewhat aware that people found him attractive for some reason. No one had quite ever told him that he looked good while causing others pain however.

“Y-You said…” Kuai cleared his throat, trying to swiftly move on. However the way Shang Tsung looked at him indicated the embarrassed fluster was exactly the reaction he’d hoped for. “You said about stable living accommodations.”

“As my bodyguard, I would require you to be available 24/7.” That sounded extremely unnecessary, if you asked Kuai Liang, but he wasn’t about to voice that. “I have a spare room in my condominium, it would be yours for as long as you are in my employment.”

That did sound good. He’d been living on the street for almost a year now, the brief stays in motels were a small reminder of what he left behind. It’d be nice to have more security in that regard.

You could just go home, moron. The fact that thought was in Bi-Han’s voice disturbed him more than it should have.

But… he could just go home, couldn’t he? It wasn’t like that wasn’t an option. He could go home, head hung low and tail between his legs. He could go back to his brothers.

His gut twisted. He couldn’t go back to his brothers. He loved them, but he just couldn’t.

Tomas would be so disappointed by what he’d become. They’d both always shared the same sense of morality, yet here Kuai was, taking part in illegal fights, stealing money and food to survive. How could Tomas ever look him in the eye again? How could Kuai ever live with the shame Tomas would no doubt feel?

And then there was Bi-Han. His scar began to sting again, the wound that had caused that explosive final argument before Kuai left. Returning to that house would be proof that Bi-Han had been right all along. That Kuai couldn’t look after himself, and he needed his elder brother’s to coddle and smother him for the rest of his life.

He just couldn’t stand having to live the rest of his life being thought of as incapable of even the most basic of self care.

He’d never meant to leave forever. When he walked out the door, he’d intended to wander around for a while to clear his head before returning to plead his case. But in the end he just… Never went back. The longer he spent away, the harder the idea of returning became. Eventually, he just came to one very simple conclusion.

He could never go home to them.

A hand on his cheek brought him out of his musings, a thumb wiping away a tear that Kuai hadn’t realised was there. He tried to resist the urge to nuzzle into the hand. He couldn’t remember the last time someone touched him so gently. He’d grown far too used to the harsh hands he encountered in battle.

“Of course you’ll also have a generous pay check,” Shang Tsung continued, “I wouldn’t expect you to pay rent, or even pay for food. That would be all part of the package in your employment.”

“That…” Kuai paused, squinting suspiciously at the man in front of him. “That sounds too good to be true.”

And his Father, ever the savvy businessman, had always told him if something sounded too good to be true, it probably was.

“I can understand why you would think that.” Shang Tsung gently patted Kuai’s cheek, pulling his hand away. “I think the question you should really be asking is if you can afford to pass over the potential opportunity?”

Kuai hated that he had a point. His current situation was not ideal at all. He needed something to change, something that didn’t require him to go home. Maybe this all sounded like fantasy, but the fact there was a slim chance it could be real was very tempting.

“How about this, I’ll give you a trial period,” Shang Tsung continued. “One month, and if you are not satisfied you can walk away, no questions asked.”

A month's trial huh? He supposed he could do that.

“Okay.” He nodded, although not as confidently as he probably should have. “You have one month to convince me that your offer is worth my time.”

Shang Tsung smiled brightly at that, saying “you’ve made the right choice.” Seconds later, he was slipping his arm around Kuai’s waist, and gently ushering him towards the door. “Why don’t we talk more about the details over dinner. My treat, of course.”

Kuai didn’t say anything, but did allow Shang Tsung to guide him. He hadn’t realised how hungry he was until the word dinner had been mentioned. Right now, he couldn’t tell if he was doing the right thing, or if this was going to end up on his neverending list of shitty life decisions. He briefly thought of his brother, Tomas, of how stupid he’d probably think he was being.

Tomas… Maybe one day you’ll forgive me for all of this.

Kuai doubted it though.

Well, well, well my friends. I’ve paused the episode to announce that the moment is finally here. You see I wanted to go into this spoiler free, so I dutifully blocked the Wolf359 tags on tumblr. But before I blocked the Wolf359 tags, I saw a lot of angsty Wolf359 fan art from my mutuals heavily implying that the Hephaestus crew gets betrayed by someone they come across. Now I’m going to assume that this is true, maybe I’m off base, maybe I’m not, please don’t confirm or deny anything. But working off this assumption, incorrect or otherwise, is very exciting because I just remember the art, nothing about names or context other than what I stated previously, which means it’s time to play everyone’s favorite game show:

And I don’t just mean anything involving the mission or space or AI, I mean literally anything. He can’t even take a personal interest in knitting or bowling or historical trivia. He doesn’t deserve hobbies.

Kepler was the one who lied about Lovelace. Well, well, well. Seems like someone has a motivate to kill. 👀

Oh I certainly hope they do Rachel. I hope you get your butts dragged to court: you, Cutter, Jacobi, Kepler, and Maxwell. I hope they throw you in cells without toothpaste and feed you nothing but the frozen mush you gave your astronauts. I hope, just like poor Doug, they force feed you enough cigarettes to get you addicted and then take them away to prevent your from dying faster, but still make you to feel the cravings Doug felt. And if you’re wondering why Hilbert isn’t on my jail list, his recent actions have struck a comical and benevolent chord in my soul. I sentence him to a lifetime of community service that involves surrendering his free will to his creation: the blessed eternal.

What does Blessie think about all this? No one has mentioned him. SI-5 either hasn’t noticed or doesn’t care. But Blessie is a very capable plant. A good ally to have in a time like this.

HELLO, IVE JUST FINISHED WATCHING WEDNESDAY

because i am the biggest dumbest nerd when it comes to the addams family: ive made a crappy list of why wednesday is everything i hoped for and more and why it is absolutely fucking perfect. spoilers.

im not entirely sure on how to start slow with this one so im getting right fucking into it. enjoy reading the disaster of my thoughts on this masterpiece:

AMAZING CASTING. jenna is incredible as wednesday, catherine and luiz are the perfect morticia and gomez, i adored seeing christina ricci KICKING ASS. gwendoline christie was amazing as weems, fred armisen as fester???? lost my shit he was so perfect. i don’t think there was a single cast member i wasn’t amazed with.

no genuinely i loved all of the nevermore students

fell in love w enid so fast omg i was rooting for her so hard her arc was so awesome (her and ajax are so cute too)

THE WEDNESDAY/PUGSLEY DYNAMIC WAS SO ON POINT they literally have the actual best sibling dynamic

i now know that you have not lived until you’ve seen wednesday addams stuck in a love triangle. she is not a character that you would expect to have a romantic interest but now in my mind she’s just beautifully a-spec and probably demiromantic. yes obviously i love xavier.

don’t get mad at me but i don’t ship her w enid that much?? at least not romantically but hey i would not complain if we had a polycule or qpr!!!

also it was genuinely so cute to see wednesday making friends like. why was i sobbing so much when she hugged enid. holy fuck.

THE DANCE SCENE. SHES AN ICON SHES A LEGEND AND SHE IS THE MOMENT

i am referring to both her actual dancing and ofc “they couldn’t even spring for real pigs blood. its only paint.” so real.

cant even stop myself from mentioning that jenna ortega looks very hot covered in blood which happens a lot in this series. like almost every episode. jesus fucking christ i am so in love with her.

i am a huge edgar allen poe nerd so i fucking adored every little reference to his works. also the idea that he was an outcast is so real to me.

speaking of outcasts: ngl definitely could’ve come up with a better name, “outcasts” just made it sound weirdly like some awkward teen high school drama but you get used to it

wednesday’s visions were so cool??? i loved the whole goody addams thing their interactions were really cool and god i just was not expecting that at all.

ok tbh it was really weird that her name was goody, since “goody” is the puritan equivalent of “mrs.” (its short for goodwife) so idk why they did that but ok i’m still here for it

honestly in general they do a really good job of keeping you guessing. i was suspicious about almost every single character throughout the whole series.

in retrospect i should’ve known tyler was gonna be an asshole from the start cause. i mean. his name is tyler. no offense to my tylers, but be real when have you ever seen a tv show character named tyler that wasn’t a douche. i’ll wait.

i’ve typed tyler too many times and it no longer looks like a real name

episodes are nice and long but i obviously wish the series was longer, but it was super bingable and i’m probably gonna rewatch it 3 million times until the next season inevitably comes out.

not to be dorky but i loved how every episode title was a pun w the word “woe”

i have really horrible media literacy in the sense that i overthink EVERYTHING so to me like almost everything in that was beautifully executed symbolism and maybe it was but when i say i lost my shit when i noticed wednesday stand on enid’s side of the room and fsr thats the only example i can think of rn BUT STILL

overall 5 stars 10/10 show i cant wait for more i love the plot i love the characters i love the cast i will be recommending it to everyone ik and more

watched the episode, it was great, need to watch again but some thoughts off the top of my head, spoilers under the cut

I wasn't sure if the crystal in Maarva's ship was actually a kyber or not, but now I'm certain they are going for a DIRECT parallel with Jyn and the kyber crystals given that Luthen gives Cassian a Rakatan (!!!! Lol no Easter eggs my ass) kyber pendant. I wonder if the crystals are representative of mentors/parental figures in their lives as well, and obviously Luthen's gonna die at some point. Also I think they are representative of moments of transition. This is... I mean they're just pointing them in the direction of home, their final home at least.

Love the attention to DETAILS! Cassian shaving, tending to wounds, the rings and the wig Luthen puts on and the way he practices his persona, the fake name Cassian chooses (Clem 🥺, his adopted father).

Cassian DID fight when he was 16 but I was getting ready for work so I missed what he was saying. Interesting that he literally sounds like Jyn - "they're all the same" - when referring to the Partisans, Separatists, Alliance, etc. I mean it's... wow. Like it's not even subtle at this point.

Luthen is a compelling character, the clear disdain he showed for the man he became when he put on the dressings of the Coruscanti version of him was interesting. It's Very Interesting that he is selling historical artifacts to fund rebel cells, considering how historical artifacts have been trafficked irl by European/US empires and not for good altruistic reasons. I'm curious to know if they will address how messy that is.

I am also glad he isn't actually TEACHING cass how to be a rebel, he's just pointing him in the direction of other movements that need help. I don't love the optics of a Core worlder organizing and funding rebel cells of marginalized groups but I also think he's maybe playing the role of an ally - opening his wallet so to speak.

Mon Mothma's home is BEAUTIFUL and opulent and very much juxtaposed with where Cassian was sleeping on Maarva's ship, and Aldhani in general. I know she did not say that she would be the first to fall 🤣🤣🤣 I am certain she meant in the Senate but that just shows her lack of real connection to the struggles of rebel fighters. Ofc she IS putting herself in danger - to deny that is to deny what the Empire is - but she would never be the first to fall and Luthen seems to know that, and in fact I'm sure that him saying that he has mouths to feed (in addition to being a signal that he is a parental figure, and IMO I think Val(?) is his daughter they just... had a vibe idk) is him reminding her that for all of the danger that she is in, she is able to feed herself and live in luxury when there are people who are in the mud.

btw Aldhani feels very Ireland/Scotland/Aoteoroa which... crying ngl. Iirc they even said highlands which??? They're just scalping the British empire ilu show

Saw Gerrera mention love him sfm. Also I love the Aldhani rebels, they're fantastic.

Cassian Andor needs sleep

Dedra and the ISB are... no notes everything is horrible and Imperial and structured and wow perfect. Majority white, majority male. Fascists can also be women, especially white women. She's great. I hate her already.

Speaking of hate, they literally called Syril "proud" lmfao he's a proud boy. Love his mom, I'm sure she's trash too but I literally have no notes.

Cassian is the first to hear the TIEs, our guy is so fucking observant. Also now he looks super young so pls don't age his ass up too much it unnecessary.

After a while at sea, Jorah makes a convincing argument to buy a slave army, and then proves himself to be a disgusting pervert.

Ser Jorah snorted. "Along with a thousand others at some harvest feast. Next you'll claim you squired for him." "I make no such claim, ser. Myle Mooton was Prince Rhaegar's squire, and Richard Lonmouth after him. When they won their spurs, he knighted them himself, and they remained his close companions. Young Lord Connington was dear to the prince as well, but his oldest friend was Arthur Dayne."

Connington? why does that sound familiar? Connniiin- isn't that the name of the guy who's with Young Griff (aka Maybe baby Aegon, Jon's older half brother)??

"- Until one day Prince Rhaegar found something in his scrolls that changed him. No one knows what it might have been, only that that boy suddenly appeared early one morning in the yard as the knights were donning their steel. He walked up to Ser Willem Darry, the master-at-arms, and said, 'I will require sword and armor. It seems I must be a warrior.'"

I'm guessing the same thing that had him so obsessed with the Prince That Was Promised prophecy that he neglected Elia and took Lyanna, thereby starting the Rebellion.

It's interesting that he's remembered/retold as saying "must be" like it's a requirement, like he's either decided actively to fit himself into a role in the prophecy, or like he thinks The Call has/will come knocking and he's going to have no choice so he might as well do it now.

"So I see. Dracarys?" All three dragons turned their heads at the sound of that word, and Viserion let loose with a burst of pale gold flame that made Ser Jorah take a hasty step backward. Dany giggled. "Be careful with that word, ser, or they're like to singe your beard off. It means 'dragonfire' in High Valyrian. I wanted to choose a command that no one was like to utter by chance."

Oh that's so cute, she's actively training her dragons. And smart thinking too, choosing a word that's not going to drop in casual conversation.

I like that a lot better than D&D's decision that the dragons just magically knew that Dracarys means "Breath Fire Now."

"Khaleesi, has it occurred to you that Whitebeard and Belwas might have been in league with the assassin? It might all have been a ploy to win your trust."

To what end, Jorah?

If they wanted her dead, all they had to do was let the manticore sting her, they didn't need to save her unless they were certain the plot was about to fail, and as far as I could tell, it only failed because they stopped it. Because 'Whitebeard' crushed the manticore.

If they wanted her dragons, they've been on the ship for at least a week, and they've had plenty of opportunity to poison everyone and secure the dragons.

So then what? They're shipping Dany off to some new place to sell her to some new man?

What exactly do you think the ploy is, Jorah?

Or are you just worried you'll lose your place as her right hand man? That she'll realise she can rely on people who aren't you to groom guide her.

... DAAAAAMN... The Unsullied are Hardcore. I do not remember the tale of the Three Thousand of Qohor from the show, I might have just not been paying attention at the right moment, or D&D could have failed at their job once again. Anything is possible.

The Unsullied would have wailed on Xerxes and the Spartans. ...huh, wonder if that was inspo. cause, just fyi, the 300 was based on real historical events, which I think everyone actually knows.

i liked the writing a lot!!!!! every character was super interesting

haruki (atou) , shinano n reiji (isoi) have a funnie group dynamic but haruki's interactions w everyone else are also great. my fav character outside the trio is aiba rn

the monsters themselves didn't really scare me that much personally (other than pochi?) but the horror aspect was still really strong n it put me on edge

for people who like character driven reading-heavy horror stories w religious themes i def recommend trying/watching this game, maybe it can help you with learning japanese too lol

Okay this is making me emotional. I’m glad this didn’t happen until wille started to view the situation maturely though as I’d be lying if I said he deserved it in previous episodes, but I think they’re able to work it out surely their connection is unmatched, especially if he’s gonna kiss wille even when he’s in that wig💀😭

I’m not a fan of cheating storyline’s so I hope Simon does actually break up with Marcus after that.

Kazuha and albedo?

(the prompt for this was raining at night + coming home bloody)

this one was a struggle ngl, hate to see my boy hurt

Qingce village had been facing some pretty brutal robberies. Captain Beidou and her crew took some time off the ship to defend the citizens, and once things settled down, she requested that Kazuha keep watch over the village for a bit just to make sure. He obliged, of course, and brought a friend along to help. Back in Inazuma, Kazuha had met a very nice man named Albedo. He figured that since he had a good eye for the details in his paintings, he’d be good for looking out for suspicious people in the village. Or, at least that's what it said in the invitation letter Albedo received. It had been quite a while since the two had talked, so he wrote a little note that he’d be gone and put it on his desk, and headed down the mountain that he resided on.

He made it there in good shape, only running into a few unavoidable monsters and road blocks on the way. He asked for directions every time he saw someone, just to make sure he didn't get lost. At the bridge to Qingce, Kazuha was waiting for him. He had clearly been waiting for quite a while, as he was sat facing the other way, strumming away on his zither. He stayed and listened for a few minutes until Kazuha paused, it’d be rude to interrupt. And he liked the way it sounded, and how his hair moved in the wind along with the notes.

“Kazuha ?”

“Hm ? Ah, you’re here.”

They shook hands and exchanged soft smiles. Kazuha showed Albedo around the village as they talked and caught up on each other's lives. They fished together and helped the villagers with small tasks. Albedo admired the way Kazuha tactfully reeled the fish in, and how he patiently spent time with the kids in the village or gathering ingredients for the elderly. He seemed so connected with the world, no matter where he went. Almost like the entirety of Teyvat was his home.

When the sun was setting, rain began to pour. They went to the small house they had been lent for the time being and settled down. Kazuha cooked something small with some of the fish they caught and then they went to rest. The bedroom had two separate beds in it, with soft blankets gifted to them by the villagers. Albedo fell asleep peacefully, listening to the rain beat down outside.

Late in the night, He woke up to someone banging loudly on the front door. He got up to wake Kazuha, but he was gone from the bed. The knocking continued, Albedo answered the door cautiously. Kazuha fell onto him the moment the door opened. He was drenched in rainwater, and it quickly got onto Albedo’s clothes too. His breathing was labored and Albedo could tell Kazuha could barely hold himself up, even with the support of leaning on him. He stood Kazuha up straight so he could tell him what's wrong. Blood was gushing out of his nose at an alarming speed, and his left eye was badly bruised along with a few other facial wounds. Albedo sat him on a chair and started to tend to his injuries. When the nose bleeding started to slow down a little, he asked,

“What happened to you ?”

“I… bit off more than I could chew. I got rid of them all in the end but they had numbers.”

“Why did you go without me ?”

“You looked so calm while sleeping. I didn’t want to disturb you.” He weakly chuckled.

“You should’ve woken me up.”

Kazuha placed his hand on Albedo’s cheek.

“The attack was harsh. If you were out there fighting with me then we’d have no one to tend to our wounds as nicely as you do.”

Albedo lightly blushed and replaced the tissue under Kazuha’s nose.

“Next time, take me with you.”

“If you insist.”

Albedo pulled up another chair so he could sit next to Kazuha.

“I’m glad I invited you.”

“That’s nice of you, but if you needed a healer—“

“No, I needed you.” Kazuha placed his hand on Albedo’s shoulder. “I’ve been meaning to ask you something.”

“Go ahead…”

“Do you ever get tired of being in Mondstadt all the time ?”

“I… suppose the scenery gets a little too familiar sometimes.”

“I think traveling would benefit you.”

“…Maybe. I have a lot of work to do.”

“Giving yourself a break is more than vital.”

“I’ll consider it. Is that all you meant to ask ?”

“I suppose so. If you ever decide you want to see the world, I’m always willing to come with you. As we’ve seen from tonight, it’s always good to have someone by your side.”

Albedo smiled and changed Kazuha’s tissue again.

“You’re right on that part. And… traveling with you sounds very pleasant.”

Kazuha chuckled.

“The same goes for you.”

They spent the rest of the night sitting and watching through the window, talking about the beautiful places Kazuha has been, and the wonderful sights Albedo was soon to see.
