This is a piece about chronic fatigue although the original idea i had for it drifted a bit as soon as I started coloring the linear#(i really enjoy shading and lighting things and got a bit carried away here but i stand by my choice because this is my favorite thing#that i've ever drawn)#anyways. i often feel especially lately with school being back in season that my bones are leaden with this sort of. weariness. theyre heav#it weighs on our mental health and energy a lot and although there's a couple of reasons we have been given for it#that doesn't remove the fact that this is still a thing that affects us in a very real way day to day although we are good at masking it.#often i come home to find that i do not have the physical mental or creative energy to work on things i really want to#especially project: nexus which i feel extra bad about even though i can't help it because i just started it so recently#it is a mild to moderate struggle to make it day to day and i just. wanted to represent this somehow#my original concept for this was a skeleton with some black goop gunk whatever leaking from its joints#but as i started adding the cracks and coloring them gold (a personal touch; kintsugi is a concept that is very dear to us)#i realized that the focus here was less on the condition itself and more on the body that it afflicts.#so i put it into a spotlight.#ironic i know since very little people acknowledge this irl or even know it exists at all but i added rim lighting. I added color gradients#I colored the lineart and made it all fancy and even added a flare for the head to get the point across that even at its core; disability i#a performance. this is not implying that disabilities are fake in fact this is the opposite of that. i wanted to show that with disabilitie#especially i think in my personal opinion the invisible ones#we are all masking at least a little bit during the vast majority of the day. humans are social creatures and it is only when we are alone#or with someone we deeply trust where we allow ourselves to be who we truly are without fear and even then that can be rare#so i wanted to show this bit of the soul in as broad a limelight as i could. idk this is a really abstract piece and i dont know if anyone#will even get it but it matters to me at least. and even though we've been largely bedridden for the past week i think that's okay#we will get it figured out. all of us. okay? okay. i love you. i fucking love you. we are going to fucking make it#(also the xes over the eyes are because i thought they looked cool they have no deeper meaning at least i think they dont#actually i think they do but i cant put it into words idk. Plot: Your relationship with the strongest sorcerers in Japan was falling apart after they yelled at you and broke your heart. 
n/a: English is not my first language, there will be a final part of this writing experiment, I am not very satisfied with how it came out.

You had lain down and held Nuko in your arms the night you found him under the bed in the guest room and, without your noticing, you had fallen asleep, but no one seemed to care, Sutoru and Suguru had not come to wake you up to join them. 
You were sure they were still angry with you for what had happened the night before and you didn't want to think about it, since you now had another problem to deal with, Nuko's. 
He wasn't well, not at all, you could see it from the way he was lying on himself, the way he avoided moving and the way he occasionally meowed as if to warn you that he was still alive, for now. 
You stroked his back and he let you, after all he couldn't do much. 
Suddenly you heard the sound of approaching footsteps in your room. Immediately you rolled onto your back and pretended to be asleep.
When Suguru and Satoru entered your room, trying to make as little noise as possible, Nuko lifted his head as if to find out who was interrupting your fake sleep.   
You felt their weight sink into the bed when they sat beside you and then you felt a hand gently stroking your back.
"Y/N?" Satoru called you in a low voice. You didn't answer hoping that would be enough to convince them to leave you alone.
"We know you're not sleeping," Suguru said as he approached you from the other side of the bed, being careful not to crush Nuko with his weight. 
"How did you know?" you asked resigned by the fact that it was now useless to pretend.
"Your breathing was too irregular, that's not what you do when you sleep. We know better by now after so long sleeping together." you heard Sato chuckle as he rested his head on your shoulder. He was uncertain of the movement because he was afraid you would reject him because of what happened yesterday, but when you didn't he kept to your side. 
Suguru who was in front of you removed a lock of hair from your face very gently, as if you were made of glass, the same gesture you had made to him yesterday, and it broke his heart when he thought back to how badly he had treated you after you had given him a taste of your love. 
You reached out your hand again, but not to return the affection of the two men beside you, but to stroke your cat again, who was taking quick, heavy breaths.
"He's sick" you broke the silence.
"What's wrong with him?" asked Satoru looking at Nuko.
"I don't know, but he doesn't eat, breathes poorly and sleeps all day." You rolled onto your back and the white-haired man pulled away from you to give you space.
"Is that why you didn't sleep with us last night? Or even because of what happened yesterday?" asked Suguru worriedly, but you had a hunch he was using it as an excuse to criticise you. 
"What do you mean, that I use my cat being sick as an excuse not to sleep with you?" you asked without hiding your irritation.
"I didn't mean that, we're just worried." 
"Really?, so why didn't you come to wake me up if you care so much?" you sat up and so did they. "Don't pretend you care so much, I know you don't" you spat, by now you had a feeling you didn't care what they thought anymore, not after the words they said to you last time. 
"Y/N, we do care about you. We came here to apologize to you," Satoru told you, trying to find the right words to keep you from getting angry. 
"We went too far yesterday, Y/N, we shouldn't have treated you that way" Suguru picked you up and made you rest your head on his chest and shortly afterwards Satoru joined in the hug "We are sincerely sorry for what happened".
You felt the strong urge to cry and let them wrap their arms around you, but part of you did not believe their words. By now it seemed to you that they were only pretending to really love you. All you had been thinking about for weeks was how you felt like the third wheel in your relationship, as if they were only with you for convenience, because you were fun for them and not because they cared about you. 
The way they talked to each other, cuddled and had fun without you had started to make you feel insecure about your role in the relationship with Suguru and Satoru, even though those moments made you suspect that they didn't really need you, it still remained an assumption. But you also suspected that they were more aloof and impatient with you in a different way than between the two of them, and yesterday's discussion and the fact that they didn't want you with them in bed seemed to have awakened in you the confirmation of your worries. 
"How many times do we have to go through this again?" you said trying to hide the urge to cry "Now you apologize, but I know it will happen again in the future."
They looked at each other not believing your words.
"What do you mean, sweetheart?" asked Suguru. 
Then you confessed: "I am not part of this relationship.". 
"Yes, you're part of it, we love you Y/N," Satoru told her by taking her chin mat so she could look straight into your blue eyes "I know what we said to you was mean, but you mustn't think we don't love you just because we had a fight once. We..." 
"It's not just that" you interrupt him "I watch how you treat each other and you don't do it the same way you treat me. It's not the first time you've made me feel clingy, when you often do things as if I'm not there, when you change the subject as soon as I butt into the conversation or when you get nervous about the smallest things I do." you continued "I feel like that all the time, when we're together, when we talk to each other, even when we make love I feel like I'm just a fun for you, not someone you love."
After you opened up to them, your boyfriends stared at you, not believing what you had just told them. They were not sure what had made you doubt the love they both had for each other, but they thought back to the fact that the two of them had known each other longer than you, worked together and always together had faced so many problems and dark pasts that, although they had hurt them deeply, they had learnt to face them together and, no matter how hard you had tried to support them, as they had supported each other in the darkest moments of their lives. You were not to blame, they were simply part of a world of which you were not and could not be a part. 
Together they faced the death of Haibara and Riko and both shared the scars that had been inflicted on them by Toji Fushiguro. For years they supported each other and loved each other unconditionally, sharing everything with each other, everything they loved most, including you. 
They loved you, really loved you, but they knew that they had both shared something in their experience as sorcerers that had allowed them to strengthen their bond and their love, but they had left you behind.
They both did not know what to say because they knew that was the truth. The only thing they felt able to do was to hold you in their arms again, this time with more strength, with more affection, as if they did not want to let you go. Their faces were buried in you, Suguru in your back and Satoru's in your shoulder, and you heard them crying. 
"I have to take Nuko to the vet. But I think there's not much to do with him," you said, letting a silent tear slide down your cheek.
"Let us take you," Satoru told you, holding you tightly, rubbing his head in the crook of your neck.
"No, I need to be alone," your voice broke. By now you knew you had lost the boys you had fallen in love with and you just wanted to run away.
By now you could no longer contain the tears that fell uninterruptedly from your eyes, they let you go, and as you left the room carrying Nuko with you, you heard their sobs and your heart broke.

And now here you were, in the driveway of your backyard sitting on the seat of your car holding Nuko's yellow collar. 
You had been there for fifteen minutes already, but you hadn't yet made up your mind to get out and go into the house; you didn't know how you would face Satoru and Suguru. You were afraid that after all you had confessed to them before you left them alone in tears it would be the final turning point that would end your relationship. You didn't want to hurt them, just the thought of making them cry made you feel bad, you loved them, you loved them so much and you would probably separate. 
You took a couple of deep breaths and got out of the car. 
After entering the house you closed the door and took off your shoes still holding the collar. 
You had been out of the house all day and by now everyone must have gone to sleep. The house was silent and shrouded completely in darkness except for a light coming from the kitchen. 
As you silently entered you saw Suguru and Satoru sitting on either side of the dining table who, as soon as they noticed your presence, although you could glimpse tiredness and sadness in their eyes, tried to show you their best smile. 
They had been waiting for you.
They both extinguished their smiles when you approached them pointing out the traces of crying on your face, and only then did they realize that you had returned alone. 
You sat by Suguru's side with Satoru facing you and placed Nuko's collar on the table, letting them know that your cat was gone forever. Suddenly you felt tears fill your eyes again.
"Oh love, come here," Suguru hugged you, while Satoru got up from his chair to join you and do the same. You stayed like that for you don't know how long, despite everything that had happened, they were there for you at that moment, just as you were always there for them when they needed you. They let you cry and vent, hugging you as if to protect you from all the evil in the world. 
At one point you felt your body lift off the ground, you didn't know if it was Satoru or Suguru holding you, but you buried your tearful face in his neck as he carried you to the bedroom. 
They laid you in the middle of the bed and held you close all night, even when you all fell asleep together. 
Perhaps there was still hope between you, perhaps all was not lost.

Michael
Exhaustion isn't something he's used to feeling so heavily in his bones. He feels the heavy weight rippling across his broad shoulders and spiraling down his spine in white hot pain. He's not a tame being, but he is a bit more docile in the months before and after Halloween. His knife doesn't thirst for blood quite as much as on the 31st.
Seeing you in your bed is a welcomed sight. Michael doesn't say much more than the soft grunt of acknowledgement as he sheds his coveralls from his dirt-caked skin. He has a lovely warm bath that loosens all the tight muscles of his lower back. You'll have his head later for leaving a ring of grime in the tub; Mikey doesn't care about that right now.
The fresh sheets are so comfortable, accepting them fully as Michael tucks his face into your side. His recently cut hair is still long enough to form a fringe curtain over his grey eyes.
Jason
Softly leans his chin to your shoulder. Depending on how far along you two are into your relationship, Jason might feel comfortable enough to have his mask removed. He's aware the material probably doesn't feel too pleasant being pressed to the side of your face or lightly digging into your skin.
His arms wind around your waist, happily sighing as he leans himself against you. Jason also doesn't mind if you switch things up and hold him in return, stroking the top of his head softly.
Brahms
If there's a way where he can wind his body around yours, Brahms will find it. He definitely likes keeping you away from all of the noise of the world, and while he's not mega happy about it, he knows you need trips into town sometimes. He likes seeing what kind of food items you bring back because the meals you make are simply delicious!
After dinner and bathing, Brahms snuggles beside you, clinging to you like you've been gone for ages. The chill of his porcelain biting into your skin as he happily huffs behind it. He's so glad to have you. <3
Billy and Stu
The pair are constantly together, if not with you, then they're almost always flanking each other's sides. The other is often not far from the first. Adding you into their duo to form a trio didn't change much of their dynamic. Instead of the two boys slinking around, they've got you as their third and final confidant.
Billy isn't the most touchy-feely person-- that's what he likes to claim. He doesn't really know how to ask for the things that he wants. He's different to Stu in the way that he's silent when you press your hand to the brunette's cheek, smiling as his eyelids flutter closed. Subconsciously leaning into your touch, chasing the feeling when you pull away.
Stu likes to be what he calls the mega spoon. It's him behind you, snuggled at your back, and with Billy pressed close to your chest still too proud to say that he enjoys being taken care of as the little spoon. You three make a nice, lovely three-person sandwich. Even when lying down, you're in the center with the boys wrapped around you like snakes. There is no them without you; you are their missing piece.
Art
This man is mostly, if not always, within your personal space. 'It's not yours, it's ours'. Art is rarely a being ever to break character or change out of his damned costume, and his hygiene is quite questionable sometimes; though he does in fact bathe and wash his suit. Just not often.
He's a man of very few words, especially when he's deep into his clown character and doing what he does best. Being immortal has its advantages, but his fight with Sienna really put him through the ringer. Art was decapitated! What a riot.
With his strength slowly returning to him, Art is always almost underfoot. In your bubble, seeing what you're doing. Snuggling up to you in a rare moment where his costume is off, leaning his head into your chest with an exhausted expression. It seemed that Pale Girl was allowing him some respite with you for a bit.
Vincent
He is a busy man, constantly sculpting and creating. His sketchbooks are filled to the absolute brim of beautiful works of art in all sorts of mediums: charcoal, graphite, watercolor, and ink. You're his muse, his favorite subject of which his art circulates. There's something so breathtaking about you, minute details that only an artist can see within people. An eternal, everlasting beauty.
Vincent is quick to jot down the rough outline of your sleeping form resting against Jonesy. He's smiling behind the wax mask, skilled fingers shading the crease of your eyelids then moving to sketch the curve of your Cupid's bow. When he felt it was finished enough for now, Vincent sets his book aside in favor of crawling into bed beside you.
His broad frame dwarfs yours as he curls his body around yours, his large hands slide beneath your sweater pressing across your tummy. Vincent really adores you, you know?
Bo
Not much of a cuddler, but if you get especially pouty about it Bo will roll his eyes and tug you to him. He can be a major asshole but he doesn't like seeing his baby upset.
He tucks you beneath his strong arm, his mechanic's hat resting on top of the back of the sofa. Waiting for you to settle down doesn't take long as you're soon drifting off with your head on his chest, focusing on his hand placed on your knee; gently stroking the skin there. His eyes begin to droop, feeling heavy. Cradling the back of your neck, Bo allows himself to drift off, too.
Lester
Long days certainly do get to him sometimes. Tiring him out something awful. He's prepared enough roadkill and deer for his brothers and you, enough to satiate any hunger for the time being until he finds time to run into the nearby town again.
Lester finds you lounging in his bed with Jonesy, Vincent must be working hard and the pup sought out attention where she could. He had no idea where Bo was or whatever the hell he was up to.
Collapsing onto the bed, Lester sighs deeply when you immediately comb your fingers through his messy short hair. He's out like a light soon after.
Sal Fisher
Poor guy has so much going on that sometimes he just wants to crash and sleep for one-thousand years. He doesn't sleep well on the best of days, plagued by frequent nightmares that not even the warmth and comfort of your sleeping form beside him can quell.
Another nightmare yanks Sal out of a fitful sleep. One that has him patting the sheets, searching for you. The heat of your skin against his hands sends a calming peace over him. He's scooping your sleeping form in his arms, his face hidden in your neck. Sal gives a weak smile as you snuggle into him. He focuses on your even breathing, allowing himself to fall asleep soon after.
Thomas
It's incredibly hot on the best of days in Duller County, the Sawyer family set up several oscillating fans that constantly work overtime without a proper functioning air conditioning unit.
Even the lackluster cool breeze and the sweltering Texan heat aren't enough to have Tommy pulling you into his lap and nuzzling his masked face into your hair.
You're much smaller than him. It gives Tommy a sense of pride knowing that he's your big, strong protector. :)
Patrick
He is such an enigma, a contradiction. Patrick isn't much of a cuddler or snuggler but he wants to play the role of being a dutiful partner. He is quick to become a jealous lover if you were to find someone else to give you attention while he's fretting over what sort of shade of cream or white Paul Allen's next business card will have.

A prideful, vain being such as himself would never admit how much he truly does enjoy having your curl up next to him. The warmth your body exudes is a comfort, one he finds him seeking out more and more even though your relationship is still within its earlier stages. Patrick hates that he finds himself being so undone by you, but he can't find it within himself to stop either. There's something inside of you that his fervent bloodlust can't be satisfied by.

✨Content Tagging Guide✨
disclaimer: this is not directed at anyone, nor was it sparked because I've seen anyone mistagging anything. I just like lists and I'm going to make it everyone's problem :)
So you wanna write a story with darker themes, but are mayhaps a little uncertain about all the different content warnings you've seen.
Not to worry! Hopefully this quick guide will clear things up. To illustrate each level, I'm going to use macaroni and cheese as the content example. Without further ado...
cw: macaroni and cheese
^^this warning is very general. It tells the reader the content will show up at some point within the text, but doesn't specify the detail, use, or extent.
cw: macaroni and cheese (mentioned)
They drove through town, past the busy main street, and the factory where the local brand of macaroni and cheese got its packaging.
This warning tells readers the content will be mentioned; maybe in dialogue, or in a description, but not explored in detail.
cw: macaroni and cheese (discussed)
"I'm lactose intolerant," he said. "So I can't---well, I shouldn't eat stuff like that."
"But you did anyway?" they pressed. "I'm sorry, just... How did it feel? After?"
"Awful. I really should've listened to my common sense and ordered something besides mac and cheese."
As you'd expect, this warning tells the reader that the content will be discussed, either in conversation, or through a character's thoughts. Discussions can involve the moral implications of the content, how the content fits within the world, philosophies relating to the content, and the emotional or lasting effects of the content on a character.
cw: macaroni and cheese (referenced)
He tapped her shoulder. "Hey, I didn't see you after work yesterday, you okay?"
"Fine now," she said, shrugging. "I just had a bad batch of mac and cheese for lunch."
Very similar to "mentioned", this warning often implies a non-explicit, non-graphic mention of the content.
cw: macaroni and cheese (implied)
He frowned down at the bowl, then averted his eyes, appetite lost by the gooey yellow mass inside, and the heavy, creamy smell wafting off it.
This warning tells readers that the content is not outright stated, but the character's reactions and actions imply what's going on. If you could remove the context from the scene/paragraph in question and make it look like something else is happening, you probably have implied content. Note that there is a difference between simply "implied", and "heavily implied".
cw: macaroni and cheese (fade to black)
She took her seat at the table, queasiness building in her stomach. Her least-favorite food was to be served, and while she knew it would be rude to decline it, she wasn't looking forward to lunch. As the dreaded bowl was placed before her, she picked up the fork, and plunged it in.
Similar to implied, but instead of carrying on through the scene the content takes place in, fade to black builds up to the moment, and stops, often transitioning to the next scene before the content is given any kind of detail.
cw: macaroni and cheese (non-explicit)
For lunch, he was served a bowl of mac and cheese, one of his least favorite meals. He choked it down anyway, and hoped he wouldn't get an upset stomach.
This tells the reader the content will be present in some form, but not described in detail. It may have some active bearing on the character or plot, but won't be particularly graphic. While the character may be emotionally affected after the fact, the content itself is glossed over.
cw: macaroni and cheese (explicit)
The bowl was placed in front of him, steam still rising from the substance inside. He knew what it was before he looked. Mac and cheese. And he'd have to devour the entire bowl of it. He lifted the first forkful, strands of yellow cheese trailing from squishy curved noodles, all the way back into the bowl, even as he raised it to his mouth. Damn, it was extra cheesy. He knew his lactose intolerance just wouldn't hold up.
This is often used as the heaviest warning, telling readers that the content and the characters' reactions to it will be described in detail.
Again, this was something I mostly just wrote for fun, and to dramatize mac and cheese but I do hope someone out there finds it helpful. Let me know if there's a type I missed! :)

Evidence that Krerdly will/could in fact become canon
So usually when I ship something Im like yea this is not going to be in the actual thing but I always see other people all like "PLEASE LET THIS BE IN THE ACTUAL THING" and I genuinely can't tell if they're joking or not like do we actually care that much are we stupid do we need mental help
Anyway here's my evidence as to why it will (could) be(come) canon because fuck you.
Berdly saying he has a crush on Susie is extremely unreliable, as he just kind of randomly decides he has one out of the blue and it's obvious she doesn't like him back and he's stupid very smart and terrible great at reading the room and therefore thinks she does anyway.
the following dialogue is after the queen battle:

(some trivia: dextrose refers to a type of sugar, I think our little boy was trying to sound clever with a big word and didn't use it right, or he meant to say "dexterous" which he would ALSO be using wrong btw, as it means "clever" and right now he wants to be stupid which makes him calling them clever out of character. )

There's his first lot of dialogue. Then interact with him again and he says this shit

There's a lot to unpack here.
Berdly tells Kris he must turn them down because he thinks he likes Susie and is under the assumption that she likes him back. Nowhere is it implied that he is not actually interested in Kris; it is only indicated that right at this moment Berdly's sights are set on Susie because there are things about her that he really admires, and so his interest is set on her. Notice how he refers to his life as a VN. That means visual novel. He sees himself as a man amongst a variety of love interests, and believes he can only choose one, as is the case with a typical visual novel, which indicates that Berdly thinks he is monogamous (I say "thinks" due to the popular theory that he might not truly desire romance at all and just claims to since that is what he currently equates any form of intimacy to). Among the people he has marked as love interests are Susie and Kris, and so therefore he is not necessarily uninterested in Kris. He sees them as a potential match, but they are not the one he's focused on.
He says Kris is being insistent about something. While this could be him misinterpreting them showing concern for him for romantic affection, as he does have this weird fixation on romance, this line of dialogue is actually really weird for a variety of reasons if we really look at it.

He says that Kris is being "insistent" on something, and that he "must turn them down." While it is easy to assume interacting with him caused Berdly to think that showing him additional concern by talking to him means you like him romantically, you must also consider the fact that throughout the game Kris is implied to say things on their own, but we ourselves never actually get to see what they are saying. Take for example here:

I'm certain this is the case with non cutscene moments, too, where you interact with NPCs and stuff. I can only really think off the top of my head to how even when u interact with one of the swords in ur inventory Noelle tells you to stop hitting you with it, and also there are times where Kris is moving on their own despite the soul not having wandered off like in the offscreen Ralsei dialogues, plus there's Kris removing their soul sometimes which always follows us controlling them... essentially they DO still have some control over themselves even when we are controlling THEM and they can still talk on their own, which I don't see how that doesn't include interacting with NPCs outside of battle or cutscenes. I just am too lazy to open the game up again and scour it for more NPC's responding to something we didn't hear Kris say, so instead I gave you an elaborate explanation of how Kris works and it works just as well so fuck you. But feel free to look for examples of NPC's outside of battle or cutscenes responding to something Kris probably said anyway and rb this with your findings that would be great.
Back to Berdly turning Kris down. Both of Berdly's dialogues are in response to something. This second line in particular looks really suspect, and makes me believe Kris may have actually done something overt in order to cause Berdly's focus to shift towards romance, and the reason Ralsei never says anything about it is so we don't notice that our character acted on their own- as he is definitely judging them for saying that LOL. I just don't see how it makes sense for him to just say that unprompted (granted, he is a weirdo, but in a cute innocent sort of way, and not the perverted incel freak some fans make him out to be but); it just feels to overtly a reply to something said to him than it does to him SIMPLY being interacted with.
Counterargument for this second point now: it's very possible that when we interact with Berdly, Kris did something to just comfort him, like put their hand on his shoulder or something like that, and them doing it more than once causes Berdly to mistaken the gesture for a romantic advance, and I was just over analyzing it because I ship them and I relate to Berdly which means I'm a nerdy idiot genius just like him. This still does not negate point number one, though.
3. Berdly is not disgusted by the prospect of romance with Kris. His reasoning for turning them down is because he's focused on Susie; nowhere is it said that it is due to their gender or appearance or anything like that at all. I assumed he was doing some hetero-normative thing with how Noelle and Susie are both girls and he's a boy but Kris lacking a gender and him not being like "eww no" to them indicates to me that he wouldn't necessarily mind something queer going on.
I want to look at the visual novel thing some more because I've honest to god never seen anyone else talk about it.
I think that he sees Kris, Susie and Noelle as potential partners. He's not interested in Noelle himself and says that he only pretends to be because he thinks she is. It's obvious he thinks that if he were to not, she might leave him, as this romantic interest he thinks she has in him is what he believes is the reason why she even tolerates him in the first place. Were she to ask him out (she wouldn't; this is from his perspective), Berdly undoubtedly would say yes, even if it isn't really what he wants, because what he really wants is to keep her around since he literally relies on her for his studies. He confesses to not liking her in chapter 2 because he wants her to know that his sights are set on Susie and doesn't want that to break her heart.
Susie is a new one, as he suddenly finds himself admiring her and confuses this admiration for her for romantic affection. He is undoubtedly going to continue trying to pursue her until he is inevitably not only shut down but learns about her and Noelle.
Lastly, there's Kris, who, besides Noelle, is one of Berdly's only friends. While he is their rival, he does show a lot of affection for them throughout the game, even back in chapter 1. In the library he tells Kris that he was worried about them.

He also offers them a random discount on the overdue book just really randomly, which is so sweet of him honestly. There is a layer of pretentiousness, smugness, and condescending-ness throughout his dialogue in the library, which is just him trying to prove himself better than Kris.

It is implied/shown that he sees a lot of potential in them. He refers to Kris as the third smartest student in class, which, despite seeming like an insult at first, is still a bit of a compliment in its own way. Talking down to Kris is sort of a defense mechanism for him. I think this is displayed really well in the scene below:

He does, however, really care about Kris at the end of the day and it's clear he values them. I really want to bring up the scene where you give him the present. First, he doesn't even EXPECT you to be gifting him, and walks into the scene assuming you're not on his side, taking it personally when he sees you with Susie. Then, when you do give him the present, he's initially shocked, then genuinely really happy and appreciative of it, to the point that he kind of almost drops the snarky attitude. I also really want to note that he doesn't even say thank you. Like he doesn't even know how to react. Poor guy.

Throughout chapter 2, we see that the two of them have played video games together, that Berdly trusts Kris enough to want to do puzzles with them while he's struggling to do them alone in the mansion, and so yeah, it can be concluded that despite Berdly's attempts to push Kris away and prove himself as their superior, he does genuinely care about them a lot.
So, Krerdly.
Krerdly.
The only thing getting in the way right now is that Berdly is focused on Susie. Though he might think what happened was a dream in the pacifist route, he probably is going to be fixated on her both there and in the neutral route due to now assuming he has a crush on her and her liking him back; he doesn't realize that he's mistaking his admiration for and desire to get closer to her for a crush. What will kill this for him is when he finally gets to see her with Noelle and realizes neither of them liked him romantically. He'd probably then turn to Kris and ask them if they liked him, since they're the one other person on that list of love interests I just did. And regardless of whether or not you say yes, he'd still be left thinking about them a little bit, and start to seek intimacy with them since Susie and Noelle are now fixated on eachother, and Berdly thinks he needs romance so he's looking towards someone who could potentially bring him that as well: his close friend who is still single.
And then you can date him and yay Krerdly real.
That's my theory.

"j, seriously. y-you can put me down. i...can walk just fine," you argue rather drunkenly.
jj doesn't have the chance to take you all that seriously, though, because you're staring at his ass. of course, this is only because he has you slung over his shoulder, his hands securing themselves around your legs to keep you in place.
"princess, when you tried to walk earlier, you tripped on air. air," he repeats, "you can argue all you want. i'm not putting you down."
he reaches your front door, keys already in hand. he'd stolen them from you earlier on in the night when he started to notice that you were knocking back the alcohol like there was no tomorrow. and clearly, he was right to do so.
he walks into your home, climbing the stairs as he moves to bring you to your bathroom. he flicks on the light switch and sets you on your counter before exiting without a word. when he returns, he's holding the entire contents of your skincare regimen and some makeup wipes.
"w-what are you doing?" you giggle, the grin on your face so wide that it makes jj's heart flutter.
"i'm taking off your makeup and doing your skincare routine for you. you'll rip me to shreds if you wake up with a pimple tomorrow," he replies, hand clad with a makeup-removing wipe as he carefully scrubbed the makeup off your skin. the proximity of his face to yours sent a wave of mixed feelings over him. on one hand, he loved being this close to you. he couldn't believe how beautiful you were. it was unheard of. but on the other hand, it pierced his heart. being this close to you without being able to kiss you...well, for lack of better terms, it fucking sucked.
and look, jj knew how much he would mess things up if he went there. he was about ninety-nine point nine percent sure that his feelings were not reciprocated. so why even bother going there if it meant losing the one person in the world who has loved him and supported him through everything?
"stay still. i have to wash your face now, and i really don't feel like poking one of your eyes out," he orders. you give him a nonchalant nod in return, and all he can do is smile, shaking his head as he moves to lather up your face wash in his hands. his hands touch your face again, the tips of his fingers working gently to wash your face and get rid of any makeup the wipe didn't take off.
you remain perfectly still, enjoying the feeling of jj's hands massaging your face as he washes it. you're far past drunk, but you aren't too drunk to feel the intimacy of this innocent act. you also aren't too drunk to notice how cute jj looks when he's focused on something, especially when he's focused on you.
his hands work fast, so fast that you fail to notice that he's now moved on to grabbing the numerous serums you claim all pertain to different things.
"wait," you say, watching jj's movements come to a halt. "don't forget to p—"
"—pat. not rub. i know," he interjects, giving you a knowing grin.
you nod with another large grin plastered on your full lips, eyes so bright that it sends jj into a frenzy. "how'd you remember?"
"i pay attention, pretty girl. i pay attention to every single thing about you."
he says it so casually because he knows that when you wake up in the morning, you'll have absolutely no recollection of it. might as well take advantage of it while he can.
jj takes notice of the fact that your face is growing warm as he presses the final serum into your skin. part of him wants to believe it's because his words affected you, but he shrugs it off, telling himself that the warmth is present due to the copious amounts of alcohol you consumed.
he moves onto your moisturizer, locking all of his hard work in and providing you with a little extra glow to your skin.
"all done," he says, his hands finding your waist to carefully remove you from the counter. "i'll go get you some clothes, alright? don't move."
when jj returns with one of his muscle tees that you'd stolen a few months prior and a pair of your pyjama shorts, he places it in your hands and moves to close the door and give you some privacy.
"j?" you call softly, eyes halfway from closing. "help me?"
"you sure? you're — you're drunk, and i don't wanna overstep—"
"—shut up already. you see me in a bikini every day. it's the same thing." you see the hesitation on jj's face, and you motion him to come over to you with your hand as you stare at the shirt hanging from your fingers. "seriously, i don't know where the sleeves are."
jj laughs as he walks toward you, "that's because there are no sleeves, you dork." he unzips your sweater, gaze avoiding your bra-clad chest as he discards it on the floor and slips his shirt over your head. it's long enough on you to reach your mid-thighs, so when jj offers you the shorts, you shove them away.
"i'm basically wearing a dress, j. don't worry. you can't look at my ass. it's covered," you wink before turning around and heading to your bed.
jj shakes his head with a chuckle as he follows you, tucking you in as you look up at him.
"will you stay with me tonight?" you question, eyes locked on his.
he smiles, his dimple peeking through. "of course i will, princess."
jj climbs into bed beside you, and you turn onto your side so you can face him. your gaze meets his, and you drink in the colour of his eyes. your eyes then roam over the rest of his facial features.
"you're so pretty," you say, your index finger gently stroking down the bridge of his nose.
"you think i'm pretty?"
"mhm. the prettiest. i could look at you all day," you reply, your finger now tracing the outline of his jaw.
he smiles in response, his fingers gently circling your wrist as you cupped his cheek. "so why'd you drink so much tonight?" he asks as he basks in your warmth. his eyes close as he lets it flow through his body, making him feel safe and beyond content.
"it's a secret," you shrug casually, thumb stroking his cheekbone subconsciously.
"i'm your best friend. you can tell me anything, no judgement."
you sigh, "i drank because the boy i love doesn't love me back."
"want me to knock some sense into him? you know i've got hands of steel," he smirks.
"i don't think that's a good idea," you chuckle to yourself more than him.
"fine. but for what it's worth...he'd be crazy not to be in love with you. any guy would," he tells you, his blue orbs never leaving yours.
"you are. crazy, that is."
his brows furrow in response. he must have misheard what you just said because there was no possible way you meant what he thought you meant.
"it's you. i love you."
"you're drunk," he says, not letting his heart drown in the love he was dying to feel.
"yes...very drunk. very, very drunk. record-setting drunk. but that doesn't mean that i'm not in love with you. drunken words are sober thoughts, dumbass. the only reason i'm telling you this is because i won't remember what an ass i made of myself tomorrow when i wake up."
jj grinned, watching your eyes close as you tried to quell the dizziness. he grabbed your hand, bringing your arm to rest over his torso as his own hand cupped your face.
"i'll tell you i love you when you can remember it," he whispers.
"okay. goodnight, j," you hum, scooting closer to him so your arm can wrap around him tighter.
"goodnight, girl of my dreams."

first of all, i want to you to remove every information, believing that it's real, your brain, spiraling, wavering, blockages, the universe giving you what you want, someone outside of you, the 3d, the 4d, behind the scenes, the 3d mirroring you, saturating your brain, etc ... [choroukgod]

there's no manifesting.
you are not the manifestor. you are not the doer. i mean it as the character, anon, doesn't do anything. Self does. Self can also be called awareness or consciousness. for Self, all exists. its like a comb, there's the handle and then all the teeth. Self is the handle, you anon, are one of the teeth. you are Self imagining being a human with desires.
i'll give you a snippet of a draft post i made:
"they wanted to be the doer. the character doesn't do. it's not You, it's just a habit. when you know you are Self, then everything is harmonious and effortless. the Self does, it is under all the imaginary character - if the character isn't real, then it doesn't do, the Self does."
since you are Self, this means you are beyond time and space, body and mind. they're not real. only the character/mind thinks its real, it'll chat forever about how you need to do this and that.
this is because the mind only knows what it knows. it cannot know anything more than what it knows right now. it's a collection of thoughts, feelings and memories that you've collected and turned into a habit. it's a habit to go back to the memories as a reference point. its a habit to identify with thoughts that come into your awareness. when you stop the habit and don't identify as the character, it goes away.
abt the body: well when you dream, you might still think. you feel the body and all, all the sensations. it feels real enough. then you wake up. you didn't take the physical body into the dream did you? you just felt the sensation of having one. doesn't this mean it's a bunch of sensations, just like a thought in the mind is?
also the mind can affect the body (e.g. nervous feeling -> sweaty palms). the thought or feeling rising into awareness, the mind takes note and ownership "i'm nervous, my hands are sweaty", affecting the body. if the unreal mind can affect something, then is that thing also not unreal?
(try to observe the thoughts or feelings next time without attaching a story to it or resisting it. see whether it goes away quicker. being able to accept the present moment is essential for this)
extra note - you as Self is also imagining the concepts of manifesting and shifting (and all the concepts related e.g. states, 3d, persisting etc).

so, you know now the reality of who you are and not to identify with the imaginary, lets talk about the desire.
desires are born out of not knowing who you are. if you think you're the body-mind then several hundred concepts are needed to be taken into account to just live.
another snippet
"all these memories, feelings, thoughts and subsequent stories create desires and fears. the mind will try and protect itself and plan for stuff, but it can't. because it's so limited in knowledge & power."
the character wants the desire because of the story it has, the feeling. usually of happiness, love, joy. what you don't know is that that's your standard way of being. so you search everywhere.
the characters main motivation is to find the truth and happiness, underneath the searching is the belief 'i am not okay' or 'i am not enough', which leads to several needs & fears but importantly, need of control, especially of the future. it refuses to sit in the present moment.
desire is completely fine actually, its the attachments to it that make it hurtful. when you don't understand that desire is just another passing sensation, you, as the character, think you NEED it and will not stop until you get it, or you suffer.
you think that theres a world to control. you think that its outside of you. you think that there is a physical world. you're missing the most important info of all: all is Self. all is consciousness. all is awareness. whatever you wanna say. all is you, theres nothing to manipulate now. theres nothing to force now. its all unreal. you as Self, are imagining to be a human with desires that now has to change stuff that they think is real! how exhusting! you don't even need to change yourSelf, Self is perfect!

there's nothing to do.
Self is all. Self is whole. Self is perfect. Self is who you actually are.
there's no transition to Self. you already are that. it's letting go of all the concepts of limitations that is a transition. - i don't remember who said this, maybe lester levenson?
manifesting is not the point. the point is to be free! it's to recognise your true self! not just to feel better or okay .. to BE freedom, to BE peace, love etc. do you want to keep going into imagination to fufilll yourself all the time? you don't have to if you understand that you are fulfillment, you are whole already.
the "world" changing can't sway you because you are complete as you are, when you manifest with the intention to fulfil the desire so you 'physically' get it - you're only gonna feel full when you get the thing .. and then it goes. things cannot fulfil you. what would happen if the clothes get shredded by a dog? your happiness goes. why? why would you place your happiness on a thing that is FINITE?
being in the present moment is best. its literally the only way you live. you can't see into the past or future, there is only now.
The best place to grow is right where you are. The best time is now.
when you're worrying abt the future, you're thinking more. when you're worrying abt the past, more thoughts. in the present moment, you slow down and see what is in front of you now.
when you get caught up in the mind, you can stop yourself halfway (or even after it happens) and go "oh the mind was doing ...", then you start to pick up how much your mind wanders back or forwards. you start to pick up how limiting the thoughts are when you remind yourself that you are not the body or mind. with the understanding that the mind is imaginary -> no need to listen or identify with what's happening. it just is. feelings or emotions that come up into awareness cannot do anything. you are never disconnected from Self.
'oh i want to go [x] but i have to buy a plane ticket and get this and that...' -> if you are not the body-mind you don't have to worry about physically travelling anywhere, you are beyond time and space naturally. you don't have to prepare anything either, the mind wants to plan, but Self is harmonious and all, so whatever you 'need' will come to you. lester actually did this once.
"With full confidence that “everything is A-okay and taken care of,” I packed a bag and walked out of the house."
when you catch yourself in the moment: release and disidentify. you can just disidentify with it immediatly if you want to.
to release a belief or emotion (probs also desires) (sedona method):
welcome the feeling.  it doesn’t have to be strong. it is what it is. ask yourself: Could I let it go? Would I let it go? When? then, remembering that you are not the body-mind, answer. deep breath in and out, let relief come if you feel it. read the link for more.
when you ask yourself, “Could I let this feeling go?”,  remind yourself that you can let any emotion go, like dropping an object. when you ask yourself, “Would you let the feeling go?”, consider whether you would you rather hold on to pain, stress, and suffering, or, would you rather be free? when you ask yourself, “When?”, what you’re doing is creating an invitation to do it now
it can take some courage depending on the emotion, the character'll want to run away. but sit in the present moment and observe the feelings. ignoring and suppresing is not healthy. the focus is to keep releasing the feeling when it comes up. you can also coax the feelings up yourself.
to disidentify: well, just don't identify with it. just go "oh that's a thought". maybe remember your Self. maybe say 'on this path i constantly give up trouble' and move on. a simple knowing that that is not You, is enough.
surrender. i used to be scared of surrender bcs i thought it'd mean i have to let go of control and i'd get nothing! or just the same thing or worse! i was scared, i as the character was in full force. then some days past and i calm down (and lowkey give up), then i get some experience where it feels like i'm saying 'yes you ARE your true Self, its natural!!' to myself. something happens w/ 0 effort and i'm never suprised tbh (i used to be), it only grows my faith in mySelf. i promise you when you go 'f it idk whats gonna happen, it'll be fine' it'll be okay. but first you need to understand who you are. you trust your Self and just release the stories that tell you you aren't, that you are stuck, that you haven't got it, that you aren't fulfilled etc.
let me rephrase that bcs ppl saying "just believe!" used to piss me off: surrender it all. just stop. on this path you constantly give up trouble. you give up entertaining thoughts that make you feel bad. stop getting annoyed at yourself. stop beating yourself up. stop trying. just let yourself relax. if you want to do something, do it so you can feel better rather than to fix, manipulate, control etc.
all this arguing takes effort. it takes energy to not surrender. its hard to be something you are not. all the effort is being put into being an ego or to resist being it. you're squashing god into a small box and going 'why won't i fit?!' - lester levenson (modified)
Self is perfection, you are not surrendering to get worse, you are surrendering to perfection. Absolute Perfection. your mind only knows like 20 years (less or more!) of experience, in only one way of being. to your Self, there is all.
if theres anything to "do" its recognising stories of limitation and releasing/disidentifying as them.
(although surrendering is put last here. it is actually the first step. it might even be the only step)

📖​No one really knows what Kakashi looks like without his mask so you are almost privileged for having the honor of seeing his complete face. Yes, it may have come with the price of your own freedom being taken away due to the abduction but we're not talking about that. It's not like you need to see his full face in order to compliment his looks. You have already done that a lot even whilst only seeing half of his face and whilst Kakashi has always made an effort to appear as nonchalant as possible about it, deep down he feels flattered by all the adoration you throw his way. That doesn't mean that he will let his guard down though as years of being a shinobi have made him naturally more cautious so as mean and distant as it may look, he never throws away the tiny suspicion that you might try to coax him into trusting you more and then use that trust to try to escape. You see his full face by accident as you walk in on him changing his clothes and your reaction is honestly hilarious but it does amuse and flatter him only more. He starts wearing his mask less around you from that moment on as he feels safe around you and because it does stroke his ego a bit whenever you start doting on him.

🟠Mr. Compress certainly feels very thrilled to have you reacting so positively to every development of the relationship as it allows him to give you more freedom. Your relaxed behavior allows him to fully dote on you as he loves entertaining you and showing of his skills as a trickster. You dote back equally as much and whilst a tiny part of him still warns him to be cautious around you, he often likes to ignore this nagging voice in favor of fully focusing on you. Your clear affection lulls him into a sense of security even if he is still rather lucid about the fact that his own obsession isn't necessarily something to be proud about. Staying tru to his role as an entertainer, he even makes his face reveal to you a whole show but it is so worth it as soon as he sees your astouned expression, stars in your eyes as he shows his face to you. That reaction alone does motivate him to still wear his mask around you from time to time simply so he can see that look on your face again. Your adoring and accepting demeanor in this relationship allows Atsuhiro to act like a partner that would almost look normal to the eyes of strangers. Security is still a must so do forgive him for having to isolate you for your own protection.

🎭​Ririka is the biggest ball of shyness and insecurity as her upbringing has truly not done much to build her confidende up. As long as she wears her mask though, she can keep her composure even around you, although she still stalks you wherever you go. That tendency to stalk you and obsess over you is only fueled because you clearly admire the vice-president of the school. She gets all squirmish when you compliment her and her skills and her mask is the only thing hiding her otherwise obvious pink blush. Removing her mask and showing her face to others is something she has never done on her own free will as she has been conditioned by her own family to wear the mask forever as only her twin sister is the true heir to the Bami family. So when she decides to unmask herself in front of you, it is a sign of huge trust and clear attachment she holds for you. Ririka is anxious though when she shows her face, a shy and nervous look on her face as she looks at you exposed. Nervousness turns soon into a flustered blush when you instantly start swooning over her appearance. Wearing her mask is a bad habit but she slowly feels more encouraged to put it down when she is alone with you.

It is not a secret that the boy is very clearly attached to you and feels strongly for you, although the question still is how aware Inosuke is of the clearly possessive tendencies he exhibits as soon as it involves you. The concept of beauty is one he isn't familiar with as he was raised by boars and for that believes that the strongest usually gets what he wants which is why he acts so possessive and aggressive as soon as someone he isn't too familiar with dares to approach you. He has most trust in you though which is why he allows you to pull off his mask when you ask him if you can. So whilst he is a bit oblivious to the concept of beauty as well as to why you love looking at his pretty face so much, he does know that it gives him even more of your attention and praise which he craves and which causes him to remove his mask whenever he wants more attention from you.

🌕​Shin-Ah has been avoided and feared because people thought his eyes were cursed and even after having met Yona and having understood that it isn't a curse, he still feels very self-conscious of his eyes. Years of isolation have given him not only social anxiety but also troubles expressing himself which is why he tends to stalk you and follow you silently rather than trying to spark a conversation with you. To his huge relief his silent self doesn't seem to scare you away as you gladly spend time with him and talk to him whilst he sits there silently and listens intently to everything you say as he adores hearing the sound of your excited voice. Time leads him to get slighlty more courageous with gentle and curious touches caressing your face or your head as well as turning more obsessed and protective. When you one day ask him if you could see his face, he clearly hesitates though as the scornful and fearful looks of the people in his village still remain fresh in his mind. His movements are slow as Shin-Ah removes his mask, golden eyes glancing at you warily. The amount of adoration and compliments you give him though almost overwhelm him but only in the best way.
Aemond Targaryen

Aemond has been scarred for life, robbed of his right eye. Feared amongst many not only because of his dragon Vhagar but also because of his intimidating personality and appearance, they truly view you as suicidal for spending as much time with the prince as you do. Even more surprising is that Aemond not only tolerates your presence but even seeks it out, clearly agitated when he doesn't know where you are. He feels unfairly treated and overlooked and therefor seeks the validation and approval in you. Aemond has essentially already claimed you for himself in his mind and it is to your luck that you adore him as much as you do because otherwise the prince wouldn't shy away from using violence and force to claim you as his own. His missing left eye is a sore spot for the prince though and a humiliation he has never fully recovered from. He expects fear and disgust when you accidentally see him without his eyepatch yet you not only aren't scared but you still think of him as handsome, something he doesn't believe you at first. Safe to say though, your acceptance and adoration even after having seen this only causes the young prince to spiral further down into his obsession.

So, if he hug you, it's just wrapping his arms around you or his hands on your waist, but it's not a little tight. That's why he like to have one of his arms around your neck, that's a way to show his affection.
But that don't restrain him to show him how much to love you though. He kiss you a lot on the cheek or the forehead, shared his food with you, love to play games with you, would obviously protect you a lot, and sometimes he even hug you back ! He just love your presence and you.

But when he realise that he loves you too, it was weird to him. Not in the worst type of weird, but it's just something new to him.
Would ask advice to Saitama. Did he got any answer ? Of course not.
But that's not the subject.
So, i can see him a little bit like Saitama : Confused on why you are so clingy.
But, unlike Saitama, Genos is not afraid to hug you too and show you his affection. You can expect him to smile all times you hug or kiss him.
When both of you are walking, he would hold your hand by telling you how much you have all his heart. He's afraid to lose you, that is his worst nightmare.

As you all know, Tatsumaki is a big tsundere. Literally the definition of a tsundere.
Most of the time, she would complain on your clingy nature. Sometimes, she would even remove your arms if you are hugging her, but that's rare. Usually, she just complain but let you showing your affection.
She act like she's pissed, but she secretly love all this. When she's alone and only when she's alone, she would fangirl on you. She don't like to seems vulnerable, not even in front of you neither in front of her sister.
But, there's one case where she would hug you back : If she's tired or in a bad mood. On these times, expect her to be as clingy as you, if not even more.

The ultimate shadow ban survivor guide
I've seen multiple people I follow, or their mutuals affected by shadow bans lately (makes me wonder if it's @staff's attempts to fight bots going totally haywire). As someone who survived a 2-month-long shadow ban on my main this winter, I thought I'd make a post.
First step of being shadow banned: calm down and take a breath. A shadow ban is just a stupid glitch in tumblr's anti-spam system. You're not losing your blog. You're gonna need a whole lot of patience, and deal with inconveniences, but it's fixable.
Read the incredibly useful post All About Shadowban by @that-damn-girl. It outlines the symptoms quite well. The only thing I'd point out is "your original posts won’t be visible to your followers either" - afaik that doesn't happen. Everything you post and reblog will still be visible to your followers, and also they can interact with your posts - like them, reblog them, reply to them.
Just like the post says, contact support. I recommend using a different email than what your banned blog is registered to; not because your ticket won't go through (mine actually did, as I found out when they finally replied), but because you might not receive an email confirmation for your ticket (it's somehow tied to the anti-spam thing, I think), and you're going to worry and try to send more tickets, like I did.
Now wait. And wait, and wait, and wait. They are SLOW. I've seen some miraculous 1-day unbans in the #shadow ban tag, but most people, like me, wait around a month for support to reply. Those are the same guys going through thousands of bot reports every day in addition to user tickets.
If you're going to wait, might as well keep blogging. Now if this is your sideblog that's shadow banned, consider yourself lucky. Make a new temporary sideblog, use it to post your original stuff so it goes into tags (mind that it might take a few days for a new blog to start showing up in tags). Reblog everything to your shadow banned blog so you still have all content in one place and your followers see it. If it's your main that's banned, you can still do that, but there's the extra pain of not being able to reply to posts or send non-anon Asks, since that is only done from main. Might need to register a separate account for that.

Trying to send support follow-up emails in the request confirmation email isn't going to do anything to speed up the process. But I did tweet at them using this tumblr support summoning picture by @cornmayor and offered a raccoon blood sacrifice to resolve my issue when it was like a month with no response. This is what they replied.

3 hours later I got an email that my shadowban was lifted. I honestly don't know if it was a coincidence, but I mean, this is tumblr staff. Maybe they do accept blood sacrifices.
Fun fact #2
If you're wondering why my shadow ban lasted 2 months if I got a support reply after 1 month, well. It's hard to say exactly how their ban/unban system works bc support replies exclusively with pre-written template sentences, but basically they fucked up. The first time they told me my blog has been restored, I gained pretty much all functions back, except that my posts were still not appearing in tags. Which means probably that being hidden from tags is some kind of different flag on your blog that they forgot to remove. So I had to send a follow-up ticket and wait another month.
My advice is, when they tell you it's fixed, don't take that at face value, go and check all the functions you'd lost (replies, messaging, asks, tagging, appearing in notes, getting mentioned by others).

Dear Żmija, do you know how to remove curses from objects? I swear whenever I wear my favourite earrings the day ends with me crying.
now, there are plenty of ways to rid an object of any evil that might reside within it - either by curse or bad luck, or a variety of other reasons - as this is the subject that folk magic predominantly deals with, and then as well one of my favourites. the three ideas I will list here are based on slavic magical customs - some modified when it comes to their complexity or scale, as we are talking about a small object here instead of a house, cow, or daughter - but do bear with me, as the issue itself deserves a bit more analysis than just a two-step instruction.
I assume 'the day ends with me crying' means that something bad happens other than just causing you to cry for no apparent reason - if that's wrong, please let me know and we can look at it from a different perspective.
first, why curse? curse assumes deliberation - do you believe there is someone who would want to harm you in such a way? or are the earrings themselves, for example, inherited from a family member or bought from someone and believed to carry some sort of residual curse within them? it's worth looking into this and especially into why you believe it might be a curse. sometimes those fears reside purely within ourselves, no curses necessary, and a careful examination of your own assumptions and worries yields the best results.
second, why are they your favourite? and does the fact that they are your favourite affect the frequency of you wearing them, or the occasions you choose to wear them for? if you wear them often, the chances of something going wrong are simply statistically higher. if you wear them for very important or stressful occasions, it only makes sense that you would be more susceptible to having a harder time with any possible, related failure. perhaps it's worth putting the earrings aside and carefully, as objectively as possible, examining the events that happen even without you wearing them.
and now, at last, if you would still like to do some good old magic, even if just to calm your mind and allow for further objective examination of the first two points, here are some of my favourite methods:
find in your vicinity whichever sambucus plant is native for your region - now, in slavic magic, this would usually be either sambucus ebulus (danewort) or sambucus nigra (elder). find a young flexible branch and without tearing it off or damaging it, bend it to make a loop. then, put your earrings through that loop three times - as they pass through, any widely understood evil will pass to the tree, and through its wild sacred roots back to the soil. and soil, sweetest mother, fears no curses and eats them up just as she will eat us up one day.
another method is to leave your earrings overnight in a fistful of grain, and then the next day take that grain and scatter it outside, where no people walk. the idea is both for the grain (one of the most sacred things we have, as the foundation of our nutrition and agriculture) to take the evil away, but also for the grain itself to be an offering to spirits (good or less so, depending on your own belief and situation regarding the curse) in the form of birds. where no people walk is important in the regard that someone stepping over that grain accidentally could transfer whatever evil to themselves, and that's just an unfortunate way to ruin someone's already bad monday. crucial! research the birds of your area and choose the grain itself carefully, so that you do not cause any harm to the animals and the environment.
and finally, you can also tie your earrings - the idea is that tying a knot on an object ties the evil within it as well. one way to do it is to use red thread - tie your earrings with it, make a knot, then remove the thread without untying it (you can unclasp the earrings, slide the thread off, whichever works, it doesn't have to be tied securely at all) and then burn the thread itself. otherwise, you can put your earrings in a piece of fabric and tie that bundle, and making sure the knot doesn't get undone, pull the earrings out (by cutting a hole in the bundle, for example). bonus points for sticking a needle into the fabric before you get them out.

I'm going to say this here in response to the Israel thing and the awful responses to such that @mg-dl has been talking about / reblogging about, and that's, like, being antisemitic is still genuinely confusing to me. I get it in abstract, but, like... how have you reached this conclusion?
Hamas opens up a brand new shocking campaign of terror and all of a sudden you see respectable people going "oh the Jews can just use all their second Jew passports and get out" and "the Jews are all this" and "the Jews are all that" and it's, it's baffling to me. aren't you guys supposed to be the ones who say that not only is racism bad, but it's easy to not be racist?
You know how I'm not racist? I don't fucking associate moral information about people with their race. I don't bring it up as a relevant factor. I don't assume that people who have a certain race have a fundamentally different experience of the world. The fact that someone is Jewish is not useful information to me unless I am, like, currently talking about specific religious lore. It doesn't affect me, it doesn't affect my interactions with them, it doesn't change my predictions of their behavior, it's not useful information and should have zero weight put on it. Doing that does seem easy! Ignoring useless information is what you should do anyway! So why is it so fucking hard for everyone to just do that?
And, like, at least when people are racist against blacks or Asians it's based on things they have seen. It's not an accurate picture of the world, it's biased and selective recall of information to fit a self-flattering narrative, but someone who says all black people are violent criminals has in fact seen more than zero black people who are violent criminals. The pure conviction with which leftists and left-likes talk about traits the Jews have is absurd because in addition to being wrong, they're not even things they have observed! You haven't seen Jews be people who all have two passports, you haven't seen any of this supposed rootlessness or disloyalty because it's all fucking third-layer-removed abstractions and assumptions of infinite subtlety that can't be falsified so they can't be observed either.
Aren't you Marxists supposed to be about material conditions? Shouldn't the idea of a demographic as a moral actor be absurd to you because all of their behavior is created by material conditions? The "decolonization" types are just as wrong and are following their own hopelessly broken ideology off of a cliff, but at least they had something pointing in the direction of their wrongness. The only thing you had to do to not be awful in this case was not go out of your way to contradict your own ideas and you couldn't restrain your soul-deep wrongness to even do that much.
In the abstract I know why it exists, but that doesn't make it any less nonsensical on that visceral level. I get hatred against the outgroup and people who are threatening to you, I get stereotyping people with negative interactions, those things are wrong but I understand how they happen. But when I see someone saying about how we "don't need to worry about the Jews" or whatever, like... how can you say that? How can that sentence make any sense to you? The group "Jews" is not a moral category we should worry about or not worry about, the people who are getting killed and the people who are being threatened are what we should worry about! All you have to do is NOT say "it's good when people are murdered" and how have so many of you fucked that up?
I fucking support the people who are getting killed and terrorized in that I don't think it's good to kill or terrorize them, and I don't say that kind of thing because in my experience it's insulting and degrading to be damned with that kind of faint praise, so how in the fuck is this something that people actually need to hear?

contrast - why it is important in editing
contrast is an element in any sort of design, from edits to artwork, and its importance doesn't waver regardless of what kind of design you are creating.
so why exactly is it important? it helps to not only organize the elements in your edit, but also to help distinguish the different parts. contrast helps draw your eyes to the more important aspects of the edit (typically the character). if everything blends together, then the edit stands out less.
its also important to note that contrast isn't *only* created using differing colors, however i will be explaining color contrast and how it can affect your edits in this post. contrast can also be created using size, texture, shape, etc.
the color contrast in different edits will differ depending on the theme you are going for, however no matter the theme of your edit you still want to be able to differ the focus point (your character) and your background. that tends to be harder in lower contrast edits because there is less of a difference in color values.
there is also issues when a lack of color contrast in an edit prevents visually impaired people from properly being able to see what you are creating.
so how can we go about implementing more contrast in lower contrast colorings? there are a few simple ways to do it. i'll be using kasumi as an example

i've created a very low contrast psd and slapped it on kasumi. as you can see with the no changes version, the colors blend together very much because of the lack of color contrast.
the easiest way to fix this (and without changing the colors) would be to sharpen the image. this creates bolder lines on the character and helps kasumi stand out a bit more from the background.
another option would be to simply adjust the layers. on the third kasumi all i did was add two adjustment layers and i created a bit more contrast.
so whats the best solution to fixing the problem? well in my opinion, it'd be both sharpening *and* adjusting the layers.

it maintains that low color contrast look, while also still making it so you can see kasumi.
there are multiple ways to add contrast using new adjustment layers, here's an example of three i could think of off the top of my head. curves, b/c (brightness/contrast), and levels.

using curves can be either quite complicated or quite easy depending on your goal and understanding of it. for creating (or removing) contrast, its pretty easy!

by doing it in the middle you can create a sort of mix of both.
brightness/contrast is pretty straightforward, just up the contrast value using the contrast bar. usually when i up the contrast i tend to turn the brightness down a little bit as well.
using levels is also relatively straightforward! by adjusting this bar you can easily add or remove color contrast.

you can use just one of these methods, a new method, or mix them! anything works! experimentation is a part of editing, it helps you to learn what works best for you. my guide is not an end-all fact book for how you *need* to do things, but rather advice and tips to help you get better and to make your designs look more appealing.

Big obsessed with all of the BG3 villains. The themes of the cycle of abuse/trauma in all of the main cast makes me feral over how the villains unfortunately do not/did not get the opportunity to be "saved" by Tav (if doing a good playthrough) and by experiencing the heros journey.
I could talk about Ketheric and Orin, but after reading @bearhugsandshrugs fic it got me deep diving into Gortash's character. It's amazing and everyone should read it especially if you're weak for Tav/Gortash like I am 👀💦
Trigger warning for abuse mentions below the cut.
Let me start with stating this is NOT an Enver Gortash apologist post, he's evil and he's done terrible things. This is just me yelling into the void about character foils.
Childhood abuse:
In game we really only get to know his history through background information that we can scrape together if you search through the city and the House of Hope.
We don't get any details on what exactly Enver went through as a child. We can assume neglect/possible violence from his parents given his mother's words and the fact they sold him. We get to know that he was beaten when living in the House of Hope, but not what other possible horrors he could have experienced there (not including just the trauma of witnessing the other debtors and Hope), what age he was, or for how long (if anyone knows more timeline wise I'd love to know) he lived there before he escaped. We don't know how he escaped either, if he had help or did so on his own.
I'm no child psychologist, but abuse has lasting effects as we can see through all of the main party. Victims of abuse tend to have difficulty moving past certain emotional stages in their life. Aka a person abused in their childhood may have issues maturing emotionally without therapy, etc (again I'm not a psychologist). There is a strong possibility that "Child" Enver is still probably holding the reins emotionally while adult Enver isn't even aware of how his past affects every action and reaction he has at all times.
I can't imagine how living with Raphael during ones formative years being healthy in anyway, but we can definitely see some of the learned behaviours he's picked up from the Cambion. A focus on possing/presentation, a suave persona, torturing/using people for his own gain, a general lack of empathy, deal making, similar attire with devil motifs...
Unhealthy coping mechanisms:
Speaking of attire, Enver's coat not allowing Fear to be cast on him speaks volumes to me. Imagine the absolute horror of moving from one situation of abuse to another much worse one in the hells as a child/teen and probably being in a state of fear/anxiety at all times. Enver wearing a coat that doesn't allow him to feel fear gives me three main thoughts:
1. He is doing everything in his power to avoid that specific emotion and therefore prevents himself from thinking about that period of his life. Meaning he is not confronting his trauma the same way the main party is forced to throughout the game.
2. Narratively does the coat prevent him from feeling any fear at all? Or do we just go with the game mechanic that ensures he cannot be made afraid by the fear spell? If it prevents him from feeling fear at all (which I think is narratively more interesting and you can take this headcanon out of my cold dead hands) how does this effect his every day decisions? Fear prevents risky decisions all the time, it's one of the emotions that actively keeps people alive. Psychopaths usually don't experience fear the same way an average person would. Given his many horrific actions (the Iron Throne being a key example) I wonder how much his forceful removal of fear has done to his perception of rational thought. If you aren't afraid of consequences what's to stop you from doing anything at all? Selling a loyal body guard to the hells, torturing an entire faction of people in order to manufacturer your own personal army, stealing from an immensely powerful devil aka mother fucking MEPHISTOPHELES??? He presents himself as calm and collected in conversation. He appears as if he's the most rational of all three villains when he's really just as awful when we look into what he's actually been up to vs seeing Orin and Ketheric kill people on screen.
3. Where did he get the coat? Did he make it himself or was it a boon from Bane? A promise to a devout worshiper that he would never be made to feel afraid or beneath anyone again?
Another abuser - Bane:
Speaking of Bane... Another user (please tag if anyone can find the original post!) mentioned a line Astarion says where he states that he prayed to all the gods, but none answered. OP wondered if Enver, trapped in the hells and desperate for salvation, called out the same way... only for Bane to be the only god to answer. I'd die to know specifically when he was introduced to Bane and made to be his chosen.
We know Bane is considered an evil god and we even find that if we kill Enver and then use speak with dead that Bane is torturing him in the afterlife for failing him.
Given this abusive relationship is Enver a foil for Gale, a man groomed from a young age by a goddess and left with the consequences when his actions did not meet her expectations?
Is he like Shadowheart, someone who was given no alternative and made to believe they willingly chose their god only to learn they were deceived and never had any other options?
Like Wyll he's cast out by his father (or in his case both parents).
Like Lae'zel he's worshipping a deity with false promises, how can he believe he'll rule the entire world like a god himself when Bane the god of TYRANNY would see no other at the top but himself (Was he secretly planning to use the crown like Gale to usurp Bane or just pandering to us)?
We know he and Karlach are absolutely foils for each other given that he is her abuser and like himself Karlach was forged by her times in the hells only to survive on her own merits.
Those are my thoughts! Would love to know anyone else's on the walking red flag that is Lord Enver Gortash.
If Enver lost his memories like the Dark Urge would he be given a chance to redeem himself through his actions? Could he with his knowledge of infernal engines fix Karlach's heart
Would Enver have ever become Lord Gortash if not for Bane...?
Anyways if anyone wants to yell at me about Enver, Orin, or Ketheric please feel free to do so! I love characters who fell through the cracks because they had no one there to help them only to crawl out themselves and burn the world.

You were the one that helped your Boneknapper perfect their armor, making them docile and extremely friendly to you.
Your Boneknapper has stuck by your side as your dragon ever since you helped them out.
This was a new development for the Dragon Riders as Boneknappers are so rare they used to be considered myth.
Now they have one at The Edge commanded by you.
The dragon is usually like a puppy around you.
They're incredibly affectionate and watch over you like a hawk.
So when Dagur comes into the picture...
Can you really blame the dragon for being overprotective all that much?
Boneknappers are usually solitary dragons and everyone knows Dagur's past-
Even if Dagur reforms or meets you before, your Boneknapper doesn't care.
Your dragon wants him out of their sight.
Let's be honest, Dagur finds the fact you train a living myth cool as hell.
When he reforms to join forces with the Dragon Riders or at least be allies, he's interested in you.
A possible crush blooming within him.
Really, why wouldn't he get a little flustered?
You look so cool with a literal bone dragon at your side.
Now let's be honest, Dagur is still a bit unhinged (it's in his title).
He'd be one to come off strong with his affection, openly trying to flirt and obtain your approval.
He isn't getting the approval of your dragon, however.
Dagur finds it hard to act on his crush or obsession at all with your Boneknapper.
This dragon is very protective and dedicated to you it seems.
The armored beast often waits for when Dagur tries to come near before wrapping around you and growling.
He can't get near you, your hut, nothing.
It just about drives Dagur mad.
You may even catch him arguing with your Boneknapper early in the morning when you wake up.
An example of this would include Dagur just wanting to greet you with a Good Morning since he likes you so much... only for your Boneknapper to block the way to your hut.
It's funny the first time it happens.
While your Boneknapper prefers you have nothing to do with Dagur, he's persistent.
As a result you often have to call your dragon off in order to speak with Dagur.
Said man often responds with relief and sticks by you as much as he can.
He's taking advantage of your chats because next thing he knows your dragon might come back to remove him.
Dagur is quick to obsess due to his poor mental state.
When he has the ability to be near you he sticks to you like glue.
He's a man who prefers to express his interest through physical affection... but can't because dragon and he doesn't want to scare you off.
It's probably not too hard to tell he likes you, though.
Those green eyes of his often stare at you like you're the most beautiful scenery.
He's impulsive... often saying information he shouldn't-
Dagur really wants to date you even if it is too soon...
He just wishes you fell for him just as quickly.
Your Boneknapper is cool but annoying to him.
Your dragon ruins the fantasies Dagur has of you and him.
It's hard to even watch what you do without the dragon's eyes glaring at him.
Your dragon tries to keep the overly erratic and impulsive man in his place.
It somewhat slows his obsession but Dagur still falls for you fast....
To keep his crush and obsession at bay he has to watch you from afar.
Physical contact is typically out of the question as your dragon would pluck him away from you.
Although... if Dagur had Sleuther, his dragon could distract yours.
Your Boneknapper does like to play... Dagur could just have his dragon occupy yours while he swoops in to swoon over you.
Dagur gets desperate to be your partner.
He is quite lonely due to his past of violence and tries his best to be close with you.
It's just difficult to convey his agonizing obsession over you when he wants to do it through physical contact.
Dagur is probably touchstarved.
When your dragon is away, Dagur tries to coax affection out of you.
Even if you aren't partners he still wants to at least hold your hand... maybe have a friendly hug?
He'd much rather you kiss him but he'll be patient... maybe....
Dagur tries his best to make his obsession slower...
But all he wants to do is smother you in affection and tell you how much he loves you deep inside.
You two could live in isolation!
You two could be happy!
He just knows you two would be perfect together...
So pardon him if he holds a bit tighter... and forgive him for leaning in with hope that you'll kiss him....
He craves you... you drive him crazy.
Not as much as your damn dragon, however, who quickly learns Sleuther is a distraction.
Your dragon can quickly sense if Dagur is making you uncomfortable.
Which makes the dragon peel Dagur off you and toss him aside with a snarl.
Dagur used to think your dragon was cool!
Now your dragon is nothing but a stupid bodyguard who's in-between his love for you.
Dagur is still somewhat of a Dragon Hunter.
He knows hurting your dragon would make you sad... it would make loving you impossible...
But a dormant feeling within him stirs... he should get rid of your dragon.
After all, this dragon is in the way of his love for you.
It's like they knew about his "crush".
It stood in the way of your future with him....
You may not like it, but Dagur would be willing to plan an elaborate idea to get rid of your dragon.
He could kill the dragon... or make it turn on you somehow.
Either way, Dagur wants them gone.
Afterwards he can steal you away with Sleuther!
Then you can love each other to your heart's content!
You may be distraught at what he's done, blood on his hands or not, but that's fine!
Now there's no dragon to pester you both!
Dagur knows you love him deep down somewhere...
Surely when you realize you can't resist all this love he has for you... you'll feel the same, won't you?
"You're all mine now... it's like we were meant to be! Stop crying about the dragon already! You have me... all you need is me!"

Uta is NOT a Mary Sue
I wrote this on twitter for a "what's a controversial One Piece opinion" post, but I definitely want it here too. Also I apologize for any typos, as I'm physically incapable of not making at least one.
Uta, by definition, is not a Mary-Sue despite how people seem to believe so due to her past, abilities, family, and how she's introduced into the story.
Definition: The term "Mary-Sue" comes directly from whether or not the character in question is 2 dimensional, depicted as lacking any flaws, which makes them unrealistic, and the rules of the story tend to bend to them second they would stop the character. Other notable things about Mary-Sues is that they are typically free of any weaknesses, they're innately virtuous, and typically attractive.
So let's break this down bit by bit.
Right off the bat, I will say she's attractive, but so are most characters in One Piece. If attractiveness is all it took to make a Mary-Sue, then everyone would be a Mary-Sue. It's the same with the fact that she has a unique design.
Uta has several very clear weaknesses:
One: her devil fruit is stamina based. If she falls asleep, they all return to their bodies. If she dies, they die with her. She has to die to take her opponent down like that, and it is therefore, a weakness.
Two: she doesn't fight much outside of the song-world. This could be because of a lack of training to fight, as shown by her unwillingness to harm someone's body. Instead, she has to have unconscious people fight for her.
Three: If they can't hear her, they're unaffected. There is a whole scene depicting marines in headphones to block her voice, and it works until they're knocked off.
Four: she's not omnipotent while in the song-world. Several people were able to hide from her and the things she created.
Five: she can't alter a person's will, only their form. Sunny, Bepo, and Blueno fought against her after their bodies were changed. The people from the audience still called out for Uta to stop.
I could continue, but I think these get the point across.
She's not virtuous; she's morally gray, like most characters in One Piece.
She wants to start a new era, but the way that she plans on doing so removes people's freedom and will kill them. That's not virtuous, even if she believes it is. It makes her similar to a cult leader. Even if they somehow had everyone's best interest in mind, wouldn't call a cult leader virtuous, would you?
Everything above covers how she has character flaws, but I'm going to add a few more.
She begins to panic when things don't go how she expects them to. That's why the audience gets turned into stuffed animals and such. If they won't stay themselves, then she has to keep them there.
She was eating wake-shrooms the whole movie. Those are literally in universe stimulant drugs. Another point against virtuous and towards character flaws.
She didn't seek help for the things that were bothering her, which ultimately led to her crazed idea. Her isolation led to her being so independent that she probably didn't know asking for help was an option.
And finally, the big one: is she a two dimensional character? Definition first: a 2 dimensional character is a character with little to no character development. They're too simple, and show little to no serious thought. The have no real dimension to them.
Guys, the whole movie is about her. We see how her trauma changed her from loving being a part of the red haired pirates to not being able to stand pirates at all. How her lack of outside help and isolation only made everything worse, and what ut eventually turned into. We see her realize she was wrong the second she's able to process a fraction of what she's done, which if you pay careful attention to the movie, you know that not all of it was fully her. Parts of it were the wake-shrooms, which make people slowly go insane. (How many shows was she using one or two on, I wonder?). Some theories even believe that Tot-Music was still affecting her mind after the first summon, but I digress.
She just needed help.
There's so much more I could put into this analysis, but I've made my point. She's not a 2 dimensional character.
To address some of the concerns I know will come up:
"She's the daughter of the strongest Yonko." Being Shanks' daughter doesn't make her a Mary-Sue anymore than being Garp's grandson and Dragon's child makes Luffy one.
"She's Luffy's childhood friend. He was supposed to be alone." Being friends with Luffy doesn't make her more of a Mary-Sue. If anything, it adds more depth to both characters, as it helps explain why Luffy wanted a musician so badly. It also explains part of his hatred for loneliness. He had one friend who went missing and he never saw her again. ("Being alone is more painful" -Luffy's flashback post Marineford) -She was adapted into that spot of the story very well. "Luffy's never mentioned her before." Luffy never mentioned Ace before Alabasta either. In case you haven't noticed, Luffy doesn't really talk about things unless he's asked directly or has a direct reminder.
"She's so overpowered that she almost killed 70% of the world at once." Yes and? Kaido regularly attempted suicide. Big mom steals people's life spans. Luffy has a god devil fruit that the government renamed because they couldn't get a hold of it for 800 years.
All of them are objectively stronger than Uta in terms of strength. She had to become popular enough for most of the world to listen to her, and then strategize exactly how this would play out. There's also the fact that some people may be immune because of Haki (gorosei)
She had a plan and it was effective because she blindsided everyone with it. That's a talent and a half, and it wouldn't work more than once.
It also has nothing to do with whether or not she's a Mary-Sue and I think it's silly to bring it up, but I know how people are.
And finally: nothing is stopping you from continuing to dislike her. You don't have justify disliking her by calling her something she isn't. If she doesn't vibe with you, she doesn't vibe with you. Everyone has things they dislike, and that's perfectly normal.
If you'd like to know what an actual Mary-Sue looks like, then I recommend trying to read just five chapters of "My Immortal," with the main character Ebony Darkness Dimentia Raven-way, the Mary-Sue of Mary-Sues. Everything is so exaggerated that it's easy to spot.
If you genuinely want to discuss any of this, then I'm down to talk about it, but if you're here to hate and didn't even bother to read everything, then I'm not interested.
