Tumblr media
Ted (IHNMAIMS) x Gender Neutral! Reader romantic headcanons Warning: mention of violence, murder, torture, killing, religious imagery (specifically Christianity) Word count: 1.1k ୨ৎ˙⋆.˚ ᡣ𐭩
Everyone knows how paranoid Ted is and how quick he is to judge others no matter their side of the story, and it doesn’t change with you. If anything, it’s worse when he gets a thing for you. He knows there’s a specific beauty to you that makes his heart beat a little too fast for his liking.
Ted will think it’s AM’s doing, making him want to crawl back to your arms after each torturous hour of the day. At some point, he asks, and it turns out AM did nothing with it. The blame is then put on you, you cursed him! You’re truly terrible!
He knows how romance works but hasn’t felt it in such a long time to the extent he forgets sometimes. Ted would watch as you helped Gorrister calm down or be close with Ellen and feel an awful sense of hatred. He barely differentiates if it’s toward the person you’re with or toward you.
Ted has a habit of getting caught in his thoughts, so once he realizes that the feeling is love, he would be beyond annoyed. He’s got so much going on to the extent love is not what he needs now!
It’s indescribable how much he loves praise. He’s self-conscious to an insane extent (from AM, though he doesn’t know it) and needs some reassurance that you truly love him. If you praise him before he confesses how he feels, it will solidify the idea that he likes you. Again, more blame is put on you.
Your beauty would play a part in his insecurity, it wouldn’t affect the relationship to the extent that he’d leave you. But it would be rather prominent with the way he talks about you then himself. Just consistent sayings of “I don’t deserve you”, it’s less manipulation and more so genuine insecurity. Ted is so insecure to the extent he never understood why you love him the way he loves you.
Physical affection would be gradual with how terrible Ted is to himself. It would be years before a normal amount of touch was visible in the relationship. Of course, there are ways to get him in your palm: praise him and he’ll basically melt. Though make sure he doesn’t think twice about your affection, he’ll be more willing to push away.
Ted isn’t the most affectionate person, but he knows that he has you for love. He’ll hold you as tight as he can once he fully gets comfortable and admires you silently.
Ted is hesitant with PDA but once he tries it, he’ll understand why he would walk down the street and see couples holding hands and kissing in public. He’d hold your hand on the journey for the canned peaches, making sure you were there with him.
Since he asked about the AI changing his brain to feel funny things for you, AM would use you to torture Ted. He’d take you, torture you beyond compare, and bring you back in the hands of an angel or another man. And Ted would take you back with care, taking your hand to continue the journey. It would affect him less if you were brought back in the hands of an angel, it would just solidify the idea AM is God but the man would hurt more, especially if it’s a guy who looks nothing like him. He’d puff his chest and continue without a word.
Kisses are another form of affection he loves, feeling your lips on his face, specifically his lips. His arms would tighten instinctively from the newfound affection and adore you each time.
Part of him would like being in a relationship since he knows the closest thing he had with Ellen wasn't real love and knows that she was “obligated” to help the men. Now that he has you, he hasn’t gone back to stress her more. It’s not only a mix of thankfulness from him for real love, but also one from Ellen. She’s already got so much from the four combined but thankfully, it would go down to three only.
It’s not unlikely for him to still accuse you of being against him too, saying you were plotting against him with the other men then running off to sit with his thoughts. It being a couple hours, days, weeks, months, years even doesn’t matter. You’ll find him again and assure him with your love. Ted’s bound to crawl back to you anyway.
Ted would try his best with being romantic, though it’s not his first idea to do. He’d try holding hands and calling you sweet names, and trying to make you swoon. But at the end of the day, he’s an awkward man. The others would see how he tries and cringe from the words he would say. You would laugh and accept his oddness with open arms.
He has a habit of following you like a dog sometimes, especially when he’s not wallowing in his own sadness. Ted would follow you around and talk to you, really about anything, about his life and what he liked to do before AM.
Ted would watch over you in your sleep, keeping your body to his chest as he laid awake, the dark bags under his eyes would gradually get worse. He was guarding you from nothing that was there, it was all his hallucinations. It’s truly the thought that counts, isn’t it?
A lot of convincing for him originally done by Ellen would later be done by you. When that hairy creature ran at him while on the walk to the peaches, he ran and hid. You would take your time guiding him from hiding, with words of praise and kisses for him.
The rest of the group (Gorrister and Nimdok) would use you to get Ted to do something with them. If he didn’t want to go about doing something with them and they didn’t want to split, they’d use you as a compromise. But if you agreed to stay with Ted, it’d be nearly impossible for the rest of the group to get him going until you egged him on.
By the end, when it turned out there wasn’t anything they could use for the peaches, Ted would kill you first. As much as it hurt to do, he’d want you out the quickest and confirmed gone. He wants you happy at any time he can get you to smile but if you must die for that, so be it.
When AM turns him into the soft blob when the group is dead, he would one day wish the AI would give him pity and kill him. Maybe in heaven he won’t look like the creature AM turned him into, even then, he could only hope you would love him just as much as when he was human.

First of all, he cherished you to the fullest content. As stuck up as he seems to be smile and all, he was in desperate need of support and attention. And you supplying both of those was all he needed even if he didn’t say out loud the tender touches and moments you both shared alone was enough to tell you everything.
Your relationship was nothing less then sweet and tender, and depending if you knew of his..ahem..little side hobby, it was innocent as well!
He cared for you so deeply, so desperately, to the point where you became his tie to humanity. Of course he knew how to play a role of a sane man, but even then he needed you to tie him to the small humanity and sanity he had.
Although not a big fan of physical affection himself he would in private of course, indulge in your soft touches, and hold. He and there he may quietly slip next to you just so you could softly run you fingers across his skin.
But of course the unviable happen, as the world ripped him of what he held so dear. Maybe as a punishment for his sins and misdeeds, or simply because it could.
Of course in the 30’s medicine was far from advanced, not only that but expensive. So when the news arrived of your newly found sickness all he could do was smile and nod at the doctor as if he wasn’t receiving the most dreadful news.
At first, he genuinely did hope for a recovery, he believed you would get better. Sure a tiny voice in his head was feeding him scary thoughts, and his gut twisted and turned. He felt something was off but surely it was nothing!, right?.
But as your health deteriorated so did his mental state and sanity, even worse then it once was. He put up a front though, for your sake and his, comforting you and saying how you’ll be fine soon, and recover then both of you could go off and do something you always wanted to do.
At some points of repeating this it really turned into him assuring himself. That your not leaving him, no, not anytime soon.
The more you fell ill the more you watched him spiral infront of you. And all you really could do was stare at him with sadden eyes as you gave comforting touches against his cheek or holding him close, even if you could barely pull yourself up from the bed you laid.
You felt your time coming close to ending, and somehow so did he. But unlike you he denied it to the fullest extent.
“Please dear don’t speak of such things, don’t worry yourself. You’ll be fine you’ll see!, now just rest my dear”
He wanted to believe it’ll pass over anytime now, ignoring the doctors he spent fortunes on. And sometimes he does blame them even if they just told the truth. He hated how they couldn’t help you, how he couldn’t help you.
So the day of you passing was the day he lost his final tie to humanity. If not for you, why give such a nasty world mercy?.
ꕥ☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼ꕥ
The minute they lowered your casket and buried you with the dirt is also the day he decided to amp up his murders.
He’s not sloppy with his murders their always calculated and tidy but grossem. Even with this, losing you he couldn’t concentrate which didn’t help his case as his blood lust grew and grew.
Each and every murder his mind went blank, thoughts of you kept flooding in that he desperately wanted to rip from his mind.
If a woman that wore you same fragrant passed him. She would be gone in a matter of days.
Nights were colder, harsher, he always assumed karma would catch up to him, but to him not you.
He often questioned what happened how did it happen. How did you even get such a illness?, and why did it have to be you?. We’re you in heaven watching him in his pitiful state? Was there even such a thing?. If there was…he surely wasn’t going to see you he knew where he was damned to go, but you?, he was sure you deserved the Pearl-ist set of wings.
Depending on the days, months or years following your death, he’s like a ticking time bomb.
He yearns for you in such a way he’s humiliated at it in a way. He misses you desperately, widowed too soon, he always assumed it would be you to be in this position, but he assumed wrong.
Even then he couldn’t tell if he could subject you to the twist of his heart and guts. He would beg to die before you, but the pain he feels now is something he would never want you to feel.
Following thoughts of your death was also his. Would he get to see you soon?, one last glance before being damned?.
He never truly moved on, cause you were his only love. Loving someone for him atleast, was rare in a romantic sense.
At some point he genuinely does just continue his murders till his death, maybe it was your passing that truly killed him. After your passing he was a bit hasty, maybe that’s what lead him to be shot in the woods. But who truly knows?
ꕥ☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼☼ꕥ
Now, after his death is where everything truly came together.
His rise to power was fairly quick killing overloads one by one gaining more voices on his radio.
But the lingering feeling of hope stayed in him…maybe you were here? Waiting for him?, But at the same time he hated this life for you, in such a miserable and disgusting yet admittedly amusing place(at least to him)
Now depending on how you found him maybe the minute his radio debuted. Or maybe by a game of telephone by the residents in hell whispering rumors and describing someone all to familiar to you.
Either way! You guys do eventually find each other. By chance or destiny is up to you
The minute he spots you, hears you, even senses you, he freezes. His smile never flattering but static surrounding the area as he processes what’s happening. Is this some sort of trick?, how..how did you end up here?
In a matter a seconds though he’s in front of you, looming as his shadow grows in suspense.
He holds his appearance and self image very important but in this tiny moment of silence. He lets it slip even if just a bit, smile never faltering but I’m his eyes a glimpse of renewed joy. Genuine joy, not form the harms of others but from something warm…something bitter sweet.
Maybe it’s you who pipes up snapping him from observing you like a painting in a museum.
“See?” You said softly grabbing his hand gently like you used to do, as you softly brought it to your face and softly planted it on your cheek. “I’m real” you said with a soft smile (SILENT HILL REFERENCE!!¯\_(ツ)_/¯)
Depending on where you are he’s quick to whisk you away to somewhere secluded.
Despite the questions on his mind all he can do is silently stare at you taking in ever detail, even if some changes here and there, you were still you. The you that he missed so desperately for all too long.
Even if not one for physical affection he’s quick with holding you, scared of you being taken from him again, taking in all he can.
Your so much more precious then he leads on, and he’ll be damned to second hell if he loses you again.
In the period of first meeting you again he is keen on keeping an eye one you 24/7, doesn’t matter what powers or how long you survived without him in hell. He can’t risk it, especially not now as he started accumulating enemies so quickly.
He’ll treat you like it’s your first time dating, of course in his old time-y way, but either surprising you with flowers at random times of the day, or watching you get giddy when he kisses the crown of your head.
Now that he knows, and felt the pain of losing you, every moment you have together form than on is cherished more than before. He remembers every day with you like the back of his hand, what you ate, what you said, what you wore, and more!
He know’s…he knows he’s a messed up, and vail man. He understands the gruesome things he’s done with little to no regret. But if he did in somehow and some way do good, something good to earn you back in his afterlife man is he greatful for it.
Some nights he does just stare at you. He’s scared, he will never show it but he is. If he loses you again, for eternity, he’s not sure what’d he do with himself. And that, the fact you weight so heavily on him is the second scariest thing, first being losing you.
Over all, he’s taken aback having you back, but he gets use to it very quickly, your soft comforting touches and your voice that brings back a flood of memories is something he will never forget nor let ago, he isn’t losing you this time, and he’ll do anything to make sure of that.

As soon as that sentence comes out of your mouth, he freezes and stares at you. He just stares at you, brows furrowed, thoughts running through his head on what to say to that. In the end he has no idea what the fuck to say to your weird question.
"Did I hear that right? Did I REALLY just fucking hear that?" He asks, more to himself than you.
"Yes, you heard me right, now answer my question!" You reply.
John sighs before thinking about his answer carefully, not wanting to upset you over this ridiculous question.
"If you were a worm, would I still love you?.. I'd keep you in a container filled with dirt and whatever else worms need."
He answers with that before walking out of your shared apartment to get some fresh air, and to have a smoke to relax after that unreasonably stressful question.
Just take what he said as a good thing, cause that's the best answer he's gonna ever have.
Ted Theodore Logan
Tumblr media
I feel like this dude would try to think up a whole speech about how he'd love you no matter if you were a worm, an alien, or literally anything. He'd try to think of a speech, but fail miserably, instead his mouth just spouts out some real stoner shit.
"Dude/Dudette... I am like the dirt to your worm!" He says with a bright, goofy smile.
He's smiling, but dying on the inside at the dumb shit that just came out of his mouth. He is mentally kicking himself so hard that he doesn't see your happy face that understood what he meant.
He comes out of his self embarrassment when he feels you hug him.
"Ted that is so sweet!" You say, making him feel better.
He hugs you back and kisses your forehead, glad you understood what he meant.
John Wick
Tumblr media
Oh Jesus H Christ, give this man a break, really, he loves you, but sometimes he questions why, and this is one of these moments.
He doesn't answer your question until late at night when you're going to bed, needing the whole day to think about a perfect answer for your odd question.
"As long as it's still you, I couldn't care less if you were a worm, love knows no bounds."
And now you're crying, thank you Mr. Wick. But seriously, that's probably the best answer you could have ever gotten.

“I think I deserve a kiss” has Jamie written all over it, that cocky bastard (affectionate) :)
anon it most definitely does!
The final whistle rings and Jamie lets out a cathartic scream, the sweat and adrenaline from the match hitting him hard all over his body. The other players are wandering around doing whatever they do when a game is over but Jamie's belining towards where (Y/N) and Roy are looking at him amusedly.
Roy's amusement is more like a barely there twist of the lips and raised brows, but Jamie knows him now. He can detect a Roy Kent Emotion from miles away.
"How 'bout that?" he says cockily when he reaches them off the field, opening his arms for an embrace that never comes. "What? Isn't anyone gonna hug me? Considerin' I jus' scored the winning goal and all. No biggie."
"Against a bunch of 12 year olds," Roy doesn't let him forget, looking like he's only regretting it a little, inviting Jamie to the park for Phoebe's birthday party. (Y/N) had tagged along happily, but that hadn't stopped their boyfriend from being a little shit and trying to impress a bunch of pre-teens like they were Man City scouts.
"A win is a win, ain't that what you always say," he makes a shitty impression of Roy's gruff voice and demeanor that has (Y/N) stuffing a giggle behind a cough. Roy rolls his eyes so hard he might hurt himself one of these days. "I refuse to not be congratulated accordingly."
"And how's that, you reckon?" (Y/N) pipes up, smiling like they already know what he's gonna ask for and are more than glad to give it to him.
Jamie stands a little taller, stating proudly: "I think I deserve a kiss."
(Y/N) doesn't laugh, sees something vulnerable in his request that they will never make fun of in a million years. A smirk, too soft to be anything but loving and a nod of the head. "Alright there, Cassanova. Come claim your prize."

In The Static | Ted Lasso
Tumblr media
Pairing: Ted Lasso x reader (no y/n) Wordcount: 2.1k Warnings: panic attack/talks of panic attacks, vague mentions of trauma. That's about it I think, it's a touch angst and hurt/comfort I suppose. Fluff. Summary: Ted thought he was past his panic attacks until he encounters another, and you follow him to make sure he's okay. A/N: "now jay" you might be saying "wasn't the last thing you posted smut almost a year ago?" and the answer is yes. But i've recently become insanely attached to Ted Lasso, and I dipped my toe into writing more than a wip. SO here's my middle aged white man of the month. Enjoy :)
Tumblr media
“REFEREE!!!” Keeley stands with a force that causes her to latch onto your arm to keep from falling forward. It continues to astound you that for such a tiny lady, she really contains an insane amount of spunk. One of the opposing team’s men had just slid Sam’s legs out from under himself, causing him to land hard on his shoulder. The game had been a rough one so far, more aggressive and bitter than most. Richmond had been respectful at first (as per usual) but the second their opponents had started playing violent and dirty, that changed.
Roy and Beard were obviously shouting and pointing angrily, though you couldn’t make out what they were saying from your seat in the box. Ted, however, was standing stiffly with his balled fists shoved into the pockets of his Richmond zip-up. You can feel that something is off. Even if you can’t see his face, you know him well enough to read his body language. There’s mere minutes left in the game and the teams are tied.
Rebecca is already standing and gathering her belongings to head back in, gesturing for the lot of you to follow. That’s exactly what you begin to do before the crowd goes ape-shit, jumping from their seats and screaming so loud it makes your head thrum.
“ROJAS INTERCEPTS THE KICK AND PASSES TO TARTT AND JUST LIKE THAT-”
You turn just in time to watch Jamie kick the ball into the net, the stadium erupting in cheers that shake the ground.
“AFC RICHMOND TAKES ANOTHER VICTORY 2-1 IN A SHOCKING LAST SECOND SCORE”
Keeley, Higgins, and Rebecca rejoice, grabbing at each other in shock. Placing your fingers between your lips you let out a piercing whistle, jumping up and down as thousands of chants echo. You look down to your coaches, expecting to see all three soaking in the sweet relief of not gaining another loss. Instead, you see Ted darting for the locker room, head down with his phone held two inches from his face. It was obvious to you that he was trying to use it as a cover.
“I’ll meet back with you guys later, I’ve gotta check something real quick.”
They smile and wave you off, relishing in the buzzing excitement clearly felt throughout the facility. As much as you wish you could join them in celebration, you were pretty sure Ted needed you more. So you slip through the small crowds with ease, having much practice during your time with Richmond, taking the back staircase to the locker room hallway.
At first you check his office, finding only his jacket laying on the floor. The second spot you search is the right one, opening the door to darkness. You almost turn and leave but a staggered breath gives him away.
“Ted?” you whisper, stepping into the boot room and closing the door gently. He sniffles almost silently and hums in response, curling in on himself when the lights flicker on at your touch.. You’ve never seen him look so small before, his entire body condensed into half of his height in the corner of the room, the sight moving you to shut the lights back off for his sake.
“Hey,” you murmur softly, walking over to kneel in front of him. He has his head placed between his knees, hands on the back of head with his fingers intertwined tightly. As much as you know of his panic attacks, you’ve never been present for one. Something tells you he tends to keep it that way with everyone around him.
However, you’re well versed with them yourself.
“I’m gonna sit beside you, but I won’t touch you unless you say it’s okay.”
You lower yourself onto the ground, the floor cold beneath your already freezing ass. England's weather was not kind to the warm blooded. Ted doesn’t lift his head all the way, simply angles it towards you just enough for an eye to peek out from behind his arm. He looks at you with the gaze of a wounded puppy, eyes red and wet, smeared with warm tears.
The silence that follows is deafening, a faint ringing the only thing you hear. Ted looks like he wants to say something, but thinks better of it. It’s not like you can blame him. The last time he opened up to someone he considered close about his panic attacks, it ended up plastered on every magazine and tabloid across the country. Trust within himself and others had been fractured- not broken. No one could ever betray Coach Lasso enough to break that within him, it was fundamental to who he was as a person.
After a few more minutes of silence his foot slides over to yours, just barely nudging it. He lifts his head and sniffles, using his sleeve to wipe the mix of tears and snot off his face.
“I want to tell you about it, I do. I’m just… stuck. Feels like if I tell you, it’ll be too much,” he murmurs, keeping his foot pressed to yours.
“I understand, Ted,” you whisper. “I started having panic attacks before I was even a teenager. I’d been through things- rough things -and they plagued me for years.” He begins to unfurl himself, listening intently to every word you say, the blatant honesty and vulnerability easing his anxiety. “It took me a while to open up to anyone about them, let alone a therapist. I spent so long trying to hide them, that when I finally did get help I felt like a fake.”
Ted adjusts himself to sit up straighter, shimmying closer so your shoulders touch. You can tell he’s trying to be inconspicuous about it, but the man is known to be anything but subtle.  Outside you can hear the boys begin filing into the hallway, headed for the locker room surely for some type of victory activity. Their shadows dance across the wall in the darkened boot room, slashed into segments by the blinds slanted slightly open. Both of you seemed to have held your breaths as they passed, because as soon as they’re gone there’s a simultaneous exhale of relief.
An amused breath comes from Ted, palm pressing from the corner of his eye to the tip of his cheekbone to wipe away the stray tears. He knocks his knee against yours and dares to glance at you, opening up enough to make eye contact. Here in this room, he looks more human than you think you’ve ever seen him. For the most part he keeps his mood insanely optimistic, tending to care more about others happiness than his own. It gave him an almost otherworldly bounce to his step and light to his eyes.
But now that he’s sat no more than two inches in front of you with puffy eyes and a chewed lip, Ted is just… a broken man.
“You’ll never be too much, Ted. It’s normal to feel stuck, and it’s okay to not be able to talk about it yet.” His eyes flick to your hand when you lift it towards him, a lifeline of trust, openness in the form of warm skin and an upward facing palm. Internal conflict tugs at his lungs, his breath hitching as he weighs his options for all of five seconds before taking your hand. You are someone Ted knows he can always find solace in.
Someone who he could spot in a crowd of thousands, someone who he will always seek out.
His other hand reaches to pat the top of yours, rubbing his thumb against your skin in soothing circles. A shuddered breath begins to pass his lips, but he smothers it to ashes with the cool press of a kiss to your wrist.
Humming amusedly at the feeling of his mustache tickling your skin, you lean your head on his shoulder, moving slightly as they lift with the intake of air into his lungs. “I suppose you’re right. I just feel bad that I haven’t spoken to you ‘bout it,” he tsk’s softly to himself, carefully navigating his brain for the right words.
“I was fine out there, y’know? I’ve been doin’ better, Sharon’s helped a lot. But it just got so loud, and everything felt out of my control- out of any of our boys’ control and I- I just couldn’t breathe. Tunnel vision, boom, just like that.”
You whisper encouragements softly under your breath, murmurs of ‘it’s okay’ and ‘you can keep going’ pushing him gently in the right direction. Voices can be heard from the locker room, loud cheering and chanting from the team acting as muffled background noise for Ted’s moment of vulnerability.
“After everything that happened with Nate, I learned to mask it a bit better I guess. That’s the fancy word Doc told me about,” the corner of his lips quirks up “I figured I’d be okay in here for a bit anyway, then you walked in.” Your brows furrow and you pull away from his shoulder, opening your mouth to apologize for intruding but he beats you to it.
“No, no, that sounded different than I meant. I am very glad that you found me here. I needed you even if I didn’t know it,” he traces the details of your face with his eyes, not stopping you when you move your head back down to his shoulder.
“I think you’ve worked on it so much quicker than you realize, Ted. It wasn’t that long ago, yeah? Healing and improving takes time, and it’s okay that it takes time. I certainly took my time,” you muse, channeling your own therapist’s word. “But I think it’s right on par with who you are, who I know you to be, that you got on it as fast as you did. Even if it was begrudgingly at first.”
“Yeah, Doc definitely had her work cut out.”
You laugh, normally at first but then Ted snorts and you both lose it, bodies bumping against each other with the shakes that come with post-meltdown laughs. Soon enough you’re both wiping away tears of a different variety, the air in the room much lighter than before. You take that moment to push yourself up and off the floor, lending a hand to Ted to pull him up.
“I am immensely proud of you, Coach Lasso. So is the team. You have a very large family backing you up, as unorthodox as said family is.” You take one step closer, hand still holding onto his, pressed between your bodies. Taking your free hand, you hold the side of his face and lean in to kiss his cheek, thumb stroking his jaw.
Ted presses into your lips, chasing your touch even when you turn to the door. Twisting the knob open you find Will standing there, boots tied by their laces hanging over his shoulder, hand outreached to grab the now absent handle.
He blinks at the two of you for a second, gaze one of vague shock, before curling his lips in an embarrassed smile and stepping out of the way.
“Not a word, Will,” you sing-song when he opens his mouth, pulling Ted down the hall to stand outside of the locker room door.
You can hear Roy in the middle of a somehow happy/angry sounding congratulation speech that only he is capable of, grinning and turning to face your Coach once more. “Now, get your butt in there and relish in the sweet taste of winning.”
“I mean, relish is pretty tasty-”
“Ted.”
“Yep,” Ted takes a deep breath and nods, squeezing your hand “you coming in with me?”
“I don’t want to intrude on your moment, Coach.”
He rolls his eyes exaggeratedly and pushes the door open, dragging you with him. The boys’ faces light up, immediately rushing to storm him, all reaching to touch him and jumping up and down. Their team song buzzing and bouncing along with them.
“WE’RE RICHMOND TILL WE DIE, WE’RE RICHMOND TILL WE DIE, WE KNOW WE ARE, WE’RE SURE WE ARE, WE’RE RICHMOND TILL WE DIE”
You slide past the group, safely reaching Roy and Beard without your feet being stomped on. The smile on your face is one of pure joy and contentment, not faltering when Beard slides to your side, bumping your elbow.
“Thanks,” he speaks, nodding towards Ted. It’s easy to know what he means immediately, always one to be of few words.
“No need to thank me,” you reply easily, watching your family bond even more “it’s what we do.”

・Was he a prick when you first knew him? Fuck yes. But did he grow and become a better man? HELL FUCKING YES.
・You knew Jamie from your school years, he was always the prick, the jock who would tease anyone just so no one would see the hurt he endured
・You used to stand up to him all the time - putting him in his place
・The funny thing was, that later in your life, your brother was chosen for the Richmond team
・And you were forced to go to every game by your mother, and see your former bully play on the same team as your brother
・It was such a weird situation, and yet you tried to make the best of it.
・Somehow you became incredibly close friends with Keeley. She saw you trying to find the locker room, to wish your brother good luck. And you became fast friends.
・Your relationship with Keeley became really important, and once you found out about her and Jamie (after they split up), you were shocked.
“But, but you’re so - you!”
“What are you talkin’ about?”
“You’re so ... gorgeous, and funny and open-minded...the complete opposite of Jamie!”
・She just shook her head with a sad smile, “there’s a lot about him that people don’t see. Or understand.”
・Keeley actually became one of your biggest shippers
・It was a slowburn romance. A lot of stolen glances, baseless insults and light-hearted complaining about the other.
・Everyone could see it but the two of you
・And you both denied your feelings over and over and over again
・Even Coach Lasso could see it, and it wasn’t until Roy told Jamie to stop being suck a twat, that Jamie realised his feelings
・Keeley gave her blessing, because you’d never go breach your friendship over a guy
・When you started going out, Jamie did everything he could to impress you - take you on the most expensive dates to restaurants; one of his ideas was to take you to Disneyland but Keeley said ... that was overdoing it a bit. (She said maybe after a year of dating you’d be comfortable with that idea)
・You were hesitant with the relationship because you didn’t want an immature partner. But although he can be childish at times, he really developed as a person.
・He’s accountable for his actions - and actually went and apologised to everyone he bullied at school
・You made him watch the Prince of Egypt and he response throughout was “woahh babe, babe what-” “um...why aren’t more people talking about this?”
・And he basically cried throughout the movie, especially at the end. And then he asked what happens to them after they escape and you’re like ... “babe c’mon. It’s - they’ve literally written...”
・Calls you “babe,” “sexy,” “sweetcheeks”
・Actually really likes the show Outlander, like ... a lot. To the point that he binge watched it and wanted to dress up as Jamie Fraser for Halloween
・You go to all his games (I mean...your brother is on the same team, so really two birds one stone, right?)
・He always spots you in the crowd (easily done - you sit where Rebecca, Keeley and Higgins do) and when he does, he blows you a kiss. It’s always good luck when you catch it and place it on your heart

Fluff Alphabet: Jamie Tartt
Inspired by this post by @snk-warriors
MASTERLIST | AO3 | KO-FI
Relationship(s): Jamie Tartt x gn!reader (romantic)
Warnings: None! (Let me know if I need to add any)
(A/N: I figured I’d finally try out the alphabet format. Let me know if you’d be interested in me doing this for another character, and feel free to send me other alphabet layouts to try out! Plus, just feel free to send in Jamie requests. Also, apologies if some of this makes my love for Keeley beyond obvious.)
Tumblr media
A ctivities - What do they like to do with their s/o? How do they spend their free time with them?
At first, Jamie loves to take you out to dinner, shopping, or wherever he can spend money on you.
Over time, though, I feel like he’ll become more content with just having a night in with you, doing some mundane thing like watching a film.
B eauty - What do they admire about their s/o? What do they think is beautiful about them?
I feel like Jamie’s grown to become far less shallow, so his appreciation for you is well-rounded. As cheesy as it sounds, he really appreciates who you are as a person. It’s not something he’s used to in relationships (even though Keeley had plenty to appreciate outside of her appearance).
That said, I do imagine there are physical characteristics of yours that he could spend a lifetime gazing at. If he had to choose anything specific, it’d probably be your smile and your eyes. He’s not used to people being genuinely warm to him, so it makes his heart melt when you look at him and smile at him.
C omfort - How would they help their s/o when they feel down/have a panic attack etc.?
Jamie will give you his full attention when you’re not feeling great. It’ll break his heart to see you looking almost broken, but he’ll engulf you in a hug and tell you everything’s going to be alright.
D reams - How do they picture their future with their s/o?
Jamie’s previous relationships have been relatively shallow; you’re probably the first person he’s considered an actual future with. He wants to spend the rest of his life with you.
At the very least, he wants you to live with him. He loves the idea of waking up next to you every morning and falling asleep beside you every night.
E qual - Are they the dominant one in the relationship, or rather passive?
You and Jamie are on equal footing in your relationship. It’s quite unexpected, since he’s a well-off footballer and you’re... well, not.
F ight - Would they be easy to forgive their s/o? How are they fighting?
Oh, God, Jamie hates fighting with you, especially with the history of his dad. If you end up yelling at him or express anger/frustration, he’ll immediately go into panic mode because I feel like he might associate fighting with anyone with his dad being a dick to him. He’ll worry that you don’t love him anymore and he’ll just generally feel like shit. He might need a bit of space for a given period of time, but he’ll forgive you if forgiveness is warranted.
G ratitude - How grateful are they in general? Are they aware of what their s/o is doing for them?
He doesn’t really express it a whole lot (at least at the start of your relationship), but he is so grateful to have you as his s/o, since he’s not exactly used to being appreciated as a person (not to bring up his dad again, but-).
If his breakup with Keeley taught him anything, it’s that he should be grateful for what he has when he has it. He’s definitely learned his lesson.
H onesty - Do they have secrets they hide from their s/o? Or do they share everything?
At first, I imagine that he’s conscious about unloading too much of his emotional baggage onto you, so he’ll end up concealing his insecurities until you kind of pick up on them yourself. It’s not even like he views any of this as secrecy; he just thinks he’s shielding you from... well, himself. He’ll definitely become more and more comfortable opening up as your relationship develops, though.
When it comes to things that aren’t his emotional problems, though, he doesn’t have anything he really hides from you.
I nspiration - Did their s/o change them somehow, or the other way around? Like trying out new things or helped them overcome personal problems?
Being with you is part of what inspires Jamie on his road to self-improvement (of course along with multiple other things). You make him want to be a better person.
Since his relationship with his dad (wow, we’re sure mentioning his dad a lot) is less than ideal, I imagine that you’ll probably help him work through some of the issues he has been left with as a result of that. It’s nothing you can fix completely, but you definitely help him get through tough times.
J ealousy - Do they get jealous easily? How do they deal with it?
I feel like jealousy is something Jamie has to work on. He’s not crazy possessive nor does he get jealous easily, and it’s not like his jealousy is something you’d notice unless you were the most perceptive person on the planet.
When he experiences jealousy, it’s more linked to his insecurities. He’d probably just try to ignore it, or, failing that, seek your approval in some way. It might not be the healthiest way of dealing with it, and if you end up figuring out how he’s feeling he might open up.
K iss - Are they a good kisser? What was the first kiss like?
Jamie absolutely prides himself on being a good kisser.
I feel like your first kiss with him would be surprisingly sweet. Like, you guys are both nervous (Jamie’s obviously trying to play it cool, and you tell him he doesn’t have to). He asks if he can kiss you, and you obviously agree. With that, he gently grabs your face and presses his lips to yours.
L ove Confession - How would they confess to their s/o?
He’s surprisingly awkward and nervous. Here’s how I imagined his confession in part one of my critically-acclaimed duology Inadequate.
“I really like you. It’s not because I think you’re fit. I mean, you’re still pretty fit, but, like, I dunno, I like who you are too, probably more than how you look. That doesn’t always happen for me.”
M arriage - Do they want to get married? How do they propose? What would the marriage be like?
I feel like marriage isn’t something overly important to Jamie. He knows that he wants you in his life forever, but he doesn’t have strong feelings about marriage.
N icknames - What do they call their s/o?
The most common name he uses is probably ‘babe’. If you’d prefer, though, he’d probably call you some variation of your name (e.g. a shortened version of your name).
O n Cloud Nine - What are they like when they are in love? Is it obvious for others? How do they express their feelings?
When he’s head-over-heels in love with you, he’s (to quote Roy) a bit less of an insufferable little prick.
He tries not to be all lovey dovey and he tries his best to play it cool, but sometimes he just can’t hide how happy you make him. He smiles to himself and his teammates often notices that he looks like he’s waiting for someone when you’re not around.
P DA - Are they upfront about their relationship? Do they brag with their s/o in front of others? Or are they rather shy to kiss etc. when others are watching?
Jamie will definitely check in on what you’re comfortable with before doing anything, or, at the very least, he’ll listen to you if you express any discomfort.
If he had it his way, though, he’d constantly have his arm around you or have your hand in his, and he’d give you so many kisses. Mostly because he loves you, but part of him really likes to show off that you’re his s/o.
Q uirk - Some random ability they have that's beneficial in a relationship.
Maybe this isn’t all that random, but he’s got a smart mouth. He’s very good at saying things that’ll totally fluster you, much to his delight.
R omance - How romantic are they? What would they do to make their s/o happy? Cliché or rather creative?
Jamie tries his best to do what he thinks is romantic. He’ll take you out to the nicest restaurant (he’s paying, of course) and he’ll buy you gift after gift.
But I feel like, gradually, how he shows his love will become more personal, since he’ll learn more and more about what you like, and he’ll realise that you see romance in the personal rather than the material.
S upport - Are they helping their s/o achieve their goals? Do they believe in them?
Since you’re (probably) incredibly supportive of him and his career, he’ll definitely reciprocate this support.
T hrill - Do they need to try out new things to spice out your relationship? Or do they prefer a certain routine?
He definitely leans more towards trying new things, though he does like having a balance between normalcy and stability and trying out new things.
U nderstanding - How good do they know their partner? Are they empathetic?
I feel like you’d probably underestimate how well Jamie knows you. When he gives a shit about someone, he picks up little things that might seem trivial to most others. He’ll definitely surprise you when he casually recalls something about you that you wouldn’t expect him to remember.
Jamie can be very empathetic. He’s been through some shit in his life despite the front he tries to put on, so odds are he understands how you feel. At the very least, he’ll try his best to understand.
V alue - How important is the relationship to them? What is it’s worth in comparison to other things in their life?
As I mentioned before, Keeley breaking up with him was a wakeup call he needed to start valuing his future S/Os.
So, he really does value you and your relationship. Of course, he’s come to value his friendships with the team, but he values your relationship just as much.
W ild Card - A random Fluff Headcanon.
Jamie will definitely try to protect you from the press as best he can, and he’s sure to sort it out if any problems do arise.
X OXO - Are they very affectionate? Do they love to kiss and cuddle?
As you can probably guess, Jamie is incredibly affectionate. He’ll often greet you with a peck on the cheek or lips, and he’ll often find himself wrapped around you before and after you two go to sleep.
He's become desensitised to the bollockings from Roy about him being late because of these morning cuddles.
Y earning - How will they cope when they're missing their partner?
It’s apparent when you’re on Jamie’s mind. He’ll become distracted, and it’s difficult for him to get his head in the game.
The best he can do is think about how he’ll get to see you soon, and he’ll just occupy himself until then.
Z eal - Are they willing to go to great lengths for the relationship? If so, what kind of?
Jamie will definitely go to great lengths for your relationship, and he’ll do whatever it takes- within reason- to maintain it.

Speak Now
Description: You’re not usually the type of girl (gn) to barge in on a white-veil occasion… but the officiant did say ‘speak now’.
Pairing: Ted Lasso x gn!Reader
Word Count: 2.5k
(originally posted on tumblr. then posted on ao3 on 6/13/22. now posted back on tumblr because taylor swift personally attacked me with the speak now tv announcement)
Tumblr media
You walked into the pub to get out of the cold, and to drown away any lingering hurt about the event hanging over your head.
It was tomorrow already.
You hadn’t expected all of the planning to be finished so soon, and certainly didn’t expect such a fast engagement. Part of you wondered if he even meant it when he proposed.
It all seemed… Wrong. That was what you told Beard as you sat at the table with him that night.
“If he meant it?” He asked incredulously.
You nodded. “I mean, think about it, in the whole time you’ve known him when has he ever done anything like this? With the exception of dragging us to England, that is.”
“I don’t know,” he sighed, taking a drink. “Maybe he just fell quick.”
You sat back, drinking silently for a few moments while you mulled everything over. Ted could be crazy, but going to marry someone he hardly knew was on a different level. You knew it, you knew that deep down Beard had to know it.
“Maybe I’m just being pessimistic because I wasn’t invited, but it all seems wrong to me,” you finally said with a shrug.
Beard furrowed his brow. “Not invited?”
You shook your head. “No.”
“Ted invited you.”
“No, he didn’t.”
He raised a brow. “He told me he did. Why do you think he’s been talking about it around you?”
You shrugged. “I don’t know, I just assumed it was only going to be a couple close friends.”
He dropped his shoulders, glaring at you.
“You know you’re one of his closest friends.”
“Then why am I not invited?” You challenged. “See, this is what I’m talking about. I don’t get why he’s doing this at all.”
“And you’re sure this isn’t a deeper issue for you?”
“Like what?”
“Maybe the fact that you’re just about in love with the man,” Mae cut in, picking up your empty mugs. You looked at her with wide eyes. “You’re not hard to read, love.”
You couldn’t help but laugh a little at her demeanor, even if you wanted to reject that statement with everything in you.
“You’re a real treat Mae, but in this case you need to mind yourself.”
She narrowed her eyes at you. “I’ll let that one slide for now.”
“You’re an angel, friend.”
She hummed, walking away and leaving you to the skeptical gaze of coach Beard. You looked back at him, giving him a shrug.
“Nothing will make this make sense to me.”
“Uh huh.”
He got up to leave several minutes later, leaving you to wander to a barstool to engage in some more conversation with Mae.
“You know, if it bugs you all that much, you could just sneak in and break it up,” she said with a wink.
“I am not the type of person to go barging into a wedding uninvited,” you replied with a laugh, “But, I do appreciate the suggestion.”
“They always ask for objections, and you seem to have quite a few,” she sang.
You laughed again. “I don’t know if that’d be the most appropriate response.”
She sighed. “Can I tell you something I think might help all of this?”
“Of course,” you said, leaning against the bar-top as you finished your drink.
“As obvious as it is that you’ve got some feelings hidden away for our Ted, I’ve gotta say it surprises me you haven’t seen the way he looks at you.”
“Alright, are we sure you’re not the one who’s been drinking?”
You chuckled, shaking your head at her. She smiled.
“Only one, but don’t tell anyone.”
“You’re my best friend here, Mae, who am I gonna tell?”
She laughed. “That’s my girl. But seriously, I meant what I said. Give it a thought, yeah?”
“I think it’s time for me to head out,” you said after a beat. “It’s been a pleasure as always.”
“You too, love,” she said with a smile as she waved you off.
You went home, laying in your bed and trying and failing not to think about what she’d said. There was really no point in trying to hide your feelings with how easily she’d already read you, but you couldn’t help the thought of Ted that lingered in your head.
There was no way he’d ever had a second thought about you as anything more than a friend. Right?
Ted laid awake that night, trying to think about the fact that he was supposed to be married the next day, but instead had a head filled with you.
Beard had called him a few hours prior to ask about why you hadn’t been invited. Much to Ted’s confusion, as he had certainly put your name on the invite list. Everything had moved very quickly, but that shouldn’t have effected whether or not your invite got to you.
But now, hearing you’d never gotten one, he couldn’t help but wonder if it was intentional.
You never seemed to notice, but others had pointed out in the past that he could never keep his eyes off of you if you were in the same room. If it was that easy for some folks to pick up, realization dawned on him that it might have been a tell to his soon-to-be wife. But would she have really barred such a good friend of his from their wedding?
She had her whole family coming, surely she wouldn’t object to Ted having more than a couple of his own. He wondered if anyone else had been uninvited, or if it was just you. If all else failed, Henry and his mother would be there, but he wanted his friends to be there to celebrate.
He tossed and turned the rest of the night, waking only after a few hours of sleep.
You got up the next morning, dreading the day. You wondered what Ted was doing as he prepared for his big day, and wondered who else was going to be there without you.
Against your better judgement, you sent him a text.
- ‘hey, just wanted to congratulate you on your big day. i hope you have a great time :)’
You hit send, setting your phone on your nightstand. You looked up at the ceiling, trying to get your mind onto any other subject. Though, it wasn’t long before you heard your phone vibrate with the indication of a message.
- ‘Thank you! You’re coming, right?’
You read the message, and read it again. Was this some weird power play?
- ‘gosh, i’m sorry, i’m not. i never got an invite, i didn’t want to intrude’
It was only a second before a few new messages popped up.
- ‘Intrude?! It wouldn’t be the same without ya!’
- ‘I promise I put you on the list. Seems it didn’t get to you’
Bitterness crept in, a message coming from your brain and to his phone before you could check in with your logical side.
- ‘seems more like i was uninvited by your lovely bride-to-be lol. that’s okay, i’m alright cheering you on from home’
He received your message with wide eyes, his suspicions and yours matching up.
- ‘I’d still really like to see you there, don’t think I can get through without you. I’ll send you a link to the address’
He sent the message along with the map link to the location of the ceremony. You didn’t send another message, mulling over the fact that someone certainly didn’t want you there. You texted Rebecca, asking if you could tag along with her that day if she was going.
You got ready quickly, hands shaking as you pulled on your shoes and grabbed your bag. Rebecca showed up later that day, and you took a car to the ceremony together.
“You’re being uncharacteristically quiet, love,” she said as you arrived at the destination.
“I’m thinking.”
“Uh oh,” she said, though amusement shone in her eyes. “Does that mean we get any entertainment today?”
You turned the situation over and over again in your head, losing yourself in the fantasy of standing up and interrupting the ceremony. After all, even if he thought you were insane, objecting would put off the wedding for the day. At minimum, they wouldn’t be able to marry legally that day.
You knew that was a petty thought, but after a certain point you didn’t care.
Katherine had never seemed to like you no matter how kind you were to her. You’d gone out of your way to provide her a certain level of comfort any time you’d interacted, and she always brushed it off. She had made her way to Keeley’s bad side within an hour because of it all, and that was certainly a feat to accomplish.
Though, as you attempted to converse with certain members of her family, you understood why she was the way she was: they all acted the same way. Stuck up.
You let out a hard sigh as you sat with Rebecca to wait for the ceremony to begin. She watched you, trying to decipher what was going on in your head.
“You know, you being all quiet like this worries me a little,” she sang quietly.
You chuckled. “There’s nothing to worry about.”
“Are you sure about that?”
“Partially,” you said with a smile.
She laughed, grabbing your hand and giving it a squeeze.
“I wish Keeley and Roy could have made it. I think they might’ve liked seeing you do what you’re about to.”
“And what am I about to do?” You asked, eyes wide and a smile on your face.
“I can’t say for sure, but it looks like you don’t want this to happen as much as half the people here,” she whispered.
“Half is an overstatement.”
“There’s enough, I think. We’re all just too afraid to say anything.”
You paused, considering what she said. Did that many people really have concern about everything? If so, you certainly felt a stronger surge of confidence. Though, you weren’t sure if that was a good thing or not quite yet.
You waited for the ceremony to start with palms that were becoming increasingly clammy and a heart that beat faster and faster. Especially as Ted came out with the officiant. He smiled at a few guests as he came out, though he didn’t seem to notice you.
Something was on his mind.
As he walked down, he wanted so badly to search for you, but he knew he might have trouble saying ‘I do’ if he knew you were there watching him.
He knew he was probably better off pretending like they were all alone up there rather than in front of a crowd of people.
He also knew he was becoming less and less sure about what he was doing as the day went on.
Music started, the bridesmaids and groomsmen coming down. You only recognized Beard, the rest supplemented by Katherine’s family.
As each person came down, you watched Ted. Part of you hurt to see him there, but part of you found an unfortunate excitement with the fact that he didn’t look overly excited. Maybe you could do this.
You could do this.
She came down next, though you kept your eyes on Ted through it all.
He watched her float down the aisle, and much to his dismay, he didn’t feel the joy he thought he might.
The ceremony officially began, and you watched and waited with baited breath. All of the formalities began, and time seemed to slow. Your heart beat harder and harder, knowing it was coming soon.
Then, the officiant said it.
Silence fell over the room, and you waited for what felt like forever.
But then, you knew it was your last chance and time was winding down.
You stood, hands shaking, as you stared at Ted. He looked back at you, as did everyone else in the room, all of them wearing looks of pure horror on their faces.
You opened your mouth to speak, tongue going dry for a moment. Rebecca reached up, giving your hand one last squeeze of reassurance that gave you the final surge of confidence that you needed.
“I’m not the kind of person who does this. Crashing a wedding, and all,” you said with a light laugh, only Beard joining in on the laughter quietly. At least he covered his with a cough. “But, Ted, I really don’t think you’re the type of guy to marry the wrong person.”
“Excuse me?” Katherine cut in, looking between the two of you.
When Ted kept his eyes on you, she scoffed, arms crossing. You didn’t pay any mind, keeping your gaze on him.
“I— Don’t say yes. Don’t do this, Ted,” you said, almost laughing at the absurdity of the situation. “Just hear me out, think about it, you know?”
“What are you even doing?” Katherine asked again, and this time you glanced at her.
You gestured at the officiant.
“He said ‘Speak now’.”
A few laughs spread throughout the room at that, mostly from teammates from Richmond, but laughs nonetheless.
Ted still kept his eyes on you. “I— I don’t know what to say.”
“Say you’ll come with me,” you offered.
He watched with wide eyes for another moment, a small smile creeping onto his face.
“Meet you at the back door when I change?”
A wave of relief and adrenaline ran through you at that, a wide smile on your face suddenly. You nodded quickly.
He ran down the aisle, and you grabbed your bag, giving a quick kiss on the cheek to Rebecca.
“Work things out with his family for us, yeah?”
She nodded. “Of course. I’ll make sure I have a fun day planned for them tomorrow.”
“You’re my favorite, you know that?”
“I know,” she said with a smile. “Go get him, love.”
You hustled out of the building, going to find the back door. Ted came through as you reached it, smiling when he saw you there, standing in just his button up and dress pants.
He wrapped you in a tight hug when you met, letting out a breath.
“I’m so glad you were around to stop all that.”
“Really?”
He pulled back, looking at you. “Of course. I’m running away from a wedding with you, do you really think my heart was in all that, Ben Platt?”
“I’m so glad I could pull you away from it all for you to make that horrible joke,” you said with a laugh.
He laughed back, then quieted, looking at you in the eyes.
“How did you know?” He asked quietly.
“Mae is very observant,” you whispered with a smirk.
“Bless that woman.”
You giggled, though got cut short when he pressed his lips to yours. You kissed him back, butterflies erupting in your stomach after waiting forever for that moment. You separated a minute later, and he took your hand in his.
“What do you say we run away together now?”
“That sounds perfect.”

Ted Lasso x Reader
*NSFW*
Description: After a hard day at work, Ted Lasso pampers the reader in more ways than one.
AFAB gender neutral reader. No references to gender of reader.
———————
It had been a long day at work. As a matter of fact, it had been a long week. You were stuck in meeting after meeting, meanwhile the emails just kept building up in your inbox. You felt like you were drowning in work, and to top it all off, you weren’t getting any help from your boss, who ended your Friday by yelling at you over just one more thing that was out of your control.
You were looking forward to the weekend, not only for the chance to relax, but also to finally get to see Ted. You had worked so many late nights this week that by the time you got home, you crashed and barely got to see him at all. He had been patient with you, even when you’d been snippy and short with him over stress that he didn’t cause.
Sometimes you felt like you didn’t deserve his kindness, but as the end of your walk home neared, you knew his kind smile would be there to greet you as soon as you entered your shared flat.
The moment you opened the door, his head turned and he opened his mouth to greet you but before he could get even a sound out, you nearly collapsed into his arms with your head against his chest.
This earned you a warm chuckle from Ted as he kissed the top of your head. “Hey there darlin’,” he said as your tired eyes met his. “What can I do for you?”
“Just hold me.” You replied.
“Now that much I can do.” He said, as picked you up and carried you to the couch. He settled in, sitting up as you lay across his lap. “Do you wanna talk about it?”
You shook your head and he nodded in understanding. The contented silence you were in lasted about 30 minutes before you started to doze and Ted spoke up again. “Hey, y/n,” he whispered softly, “I need to get up before I lose all feeling in my leg. How about I run you a warm bath and get dinner started?”
As nice as cuddling was, you could feel the emptiness in your stomach as soon as he had mentioned food. “That does sound nice.” you added as you sat up. He headed into your bathroom and you could hear the water start to rush through the tap. Stretching just made you more aware of the ache throughout your body as you moved to stand.
As you quietly waded into the bathroom, you got stopped at the doorway just by the sight of Ted. You had been too tired when you got home to take in the way a few strands of his hair had fallen from their neatly gelled place, or the soft, gentle way he moved as he folded your favorite pair of pajamas for when you got out of the tub, or the way the sweatpants he must’ve changed into after work stretched across his gorgeous thighs and ass.
Ted could feel your gaze on him, but he didn’t mind. After a moment he cleared his throat and turned his head to you with a goofy, lopsided grin. “See somethin’ you like sweetheart?”
“More like someone I like.”
He rested his hands on your hips and kissed you through his smile. “Oh? And who would that be?”
You couldn’t help but roll your eyes as you both giggled at his stupid joke. “You, you dork” you said looking up to kiss him again.
“Well, in that case, what would you say to a movie with this dork with dinner tonight? You can pick the movie, I know you’ve had a hard week.”
“That sounds great, Ted.”
“Then we best get you out of those clothes so you can relax and I can make us dinner.”
“I guess we better” After you had removed your clothes, he helped you into the bath. You let out something between a happy sigh and a groan at the ache in your muscles. He planted a kiss on your forehead before turning to leave the room.
Ted bent down to pick up your dirty clothes from the floor and softly closed the door on his way out.
You scrubbed the day off your body and found yourself relaxing into the warmth of the water. You weren’t sure how long it had been but by the time Ted returned, the ache in your body had long since faded.
“Dinner is ready, but take your time. I made chili, so I’ve got it on low on the stove to keep it warm for you.” He said sitting next to you.
“Thank you, Ted. Just let me wash my hair and I’ll be out.”
“How about you let me take care of you a little tonight and let me do that for you?”
You hesitated briefly at the thought before you considered how nice his hands would feel in your hair. You nodded, then sunk into the water to wet your hair.
When you arose, he had already gotten your shampoo ready. As you turned your back to him, he massaged the shampoo into your scalp. Relaxing into his touch, you let him direct your head.
After a couple minutes, his hands were out of your hair. “Now go ahead and rinse darling.” You sunk back into the water as he dried his hand on the nearby hand towel. You sat up and unplugged the drain.
He offered you his hand to help you out of the tub. Ted then grabs the towel and begins drying you off. You chuckled and rolled your eyes. “You don’t have to do everything for me Ted. You know that right?”
“I do know that, but I sure love doing it anyway.” He looks up at you without stopping his movements, “You deserve to be taken care of, y/n”
With the sincerity in his eyes boring into yours, you had no further objections and let him continue.
When he was done, he stood and held you in his arms. He pulled you in for a long kiss and you melted into it. He pulled away after a minute. “I’ll go ahead and fix our bowls. You just go ahead and get dressed.”
And you both did just that. You entered the living room to find two bowls of chili sitting on the coffee table with a sleeve of saltines in between, and a drink for each of you. “So what’re we putin’ on, Olivia Newton John?
Shaking your head at his usual bit, you replied “I was thinking The Princess Bride.”
“As you wish, sweetheart.” He picked up the remote and set it up as you picked up your bowl and leaned into his side.
You let out a soft moan as you took your first bite. Ted was truly an amazing cook. You’d often thought about how you weren't sure how you’d lived life before eating the food made by this man.
“That good?”
“It really is. I don’t know how you do it, Ted.” His cheeks flushed lightly at the compliment. The movie started and you settled in.
You had both finished your food by the time that Westley was facing off against Vizzini, so you started to gather your dishes before Ted put a hand on your shoulder to stop you. “Let me do it y/n. All you gotta do is settle in and I’ll be back before you even notice I left.”
When he came back in, he grabbed a blanket to put over the both of you as you curled up against his chest.
You weren’t sure exactly when you had drifted off, but when you stirred, Ted had moved you both to the bedroom and he was sitting up against the headboard. watching Notting Hill.
He must not have noticed you were awake as you could hear him faintly whispering along with the movie “I'm just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her.'' He did finally notice when you lifted your head to look at him in loving amusement. “Well good morning dear, or rather good evening. Feeling any better?”
“Much.” You replied, moving to straddle him so you could see him –and kiss him now that you had gotten to rest. Now that you were finally awake, your kisses were far more eager. You hadn’t gotten hardly any time with Ted this week and you could feel the toll it had taken on both of you.
Ted turned off the movie to give you his undivided attention. He grabbed your face as your fingers carded through his hair, pulling each other as close as could be. “I missed you’” he said in between kisses, “so much, baby”
You slid his shirt up slightly and he got the message, breaking apart your make out session to slide his shirt off. He leaned back in and kissed you with even more fervor than before. His hands were colder than expected as he slid his hand up your shirt leaving a trail of goosebumps in its wake. His other hand was planted firmly on your ass.
You gasped as he groped you. He trailed his kisses along your jawline, then down your neck, until he found that spot by your pulse point that always makes you moan. He settled there and sucked and nipped at the spot gently, relishing in your sounds.
You could feel him hard against your thigh and ground against him. The groan he let out was nothing short of sinful. “You’re driving me crazy darlin’” His voice had gotten low and gravelly with arousal.
“Then do something about it.” you retorted.
“As you wish.”
That was all of the warning you had before he slid off your shirt and flipped you onto your back. He hovered over you before he began kissing down your body. He began where had left off at your neck but quickly left a trail of warm kisses on his way to enclose his lips around your nipple. His other hand lightly played with your other nipple as he swirled his tongue around the one in front of him.
He sucked at it and lightly bit it before continuing his path downward. Just before he got to where you wanted him most, he skipped over it and instead started leaving gentle, teasing bites down your inner thigh. His mustache left the skin even more raw and sensitive.
You whined loudly and ran your hands through Ted’s hair. He looked up at you expectantly before you finally got enough composure to let out “Stop being a tease, I need you.”
“As you wish” he winked before moving back up. HIs face was between your thighs and he looked like he was in heaven before he even began. He licked a stripe between your folds before he began to focus more on your clit.
You felt a finger at your entrance and could feel your clit throb against his tongue as he slid his finger slowly in and out of you. “Fuck, you’re so wet darlin’” He quickened his pace as your hands tightened in his hair. He lapped at your folds like a man starved as he added a second finger pumping it in and out of you as you tightened around him.
“Cum for me baby” he murmured against you. You were close and one last look at his face as he kept up his ministrations did you in. You threw your head back in ecstasy as he lapped up your juices.
As you came down from your high, he was over you again pressing a gentle kiss to your head. Ted then collapsed next to you and pulled you in close. You reached between you in an attempt to provide him the same relief he had you but he grabbed your wrist before you could.
“Tonight was all about you, y/n” he pressed a kiss to your forehead. “Get some rest sweetheart.”
He pulled the blanket over you both and turned on another rom-com until you both dozed off in each other’s arms.

Ted (IHNMAIMS) x Gender neutral! Reader hurt comfort headcanons
Summary: After running from the group because of the monster in the dark, your affection is possibly the only thing that will get him back to the group.
Warnings: Description of torture, blood, loser Ted, slight verbal degradation from Ted.
Word count: 1.5k
𓍯𓂃𓏧♡
The monster was real. Ted saw it himself. The firelight did little to show the true horror of the being. He knew how able AM was to create such beings, but he knew only so much. Maybe he had forgotten about it and got hungry. The creature had lunged at him, he had run, and it had caught him. How stupid the group truly was, not running when he did. How pitiful! How idiotic! Ted knew they were stupid, but he didn’t think they were this stupid!
Ted had run for hours, the muscles in his legs had gone limp, and his throat and lungs burned. But he didn’t stop, a single stop meant the monster would get him. He learned that lesson once that run and didn’t stop until it had gone away. Now, he lay in the fetal position, his knees to his chest, anxious thoughts filled his mind. Every sound could have been that thing.
His screams haunted him, he could only imagine the horror that AM was so entertained by. Ted’s hands still shook, even now, even hours or possibly days after the attack. The scars left behind by the hairy creature filled Ted’s thigh with a burning sensation, the red slashes accompanied by maroon blood on his pants. Occasionally, he would groan in pain, the feeling so overwhelming he couldn’t stop himself from letting out a sound. The monster had gotten a hold of his thigh when he stopped once, pushing its claws deep into the flesh.
The time was spent getting lightheaded from blood loss and hunger pains, then passing out for who knows how long. Ted barely moved a muscle when he was awake, his joints hurt every time he moved, and more pain wasn’t preferred. His hair had grown to fit into the shape he lay with. His eyes would go dry and blank when he saw something shift from the crack in the crawlspace and look at it just in case.
He heard AM tell the time maybe three… or four times? Were the times the traditional hour or day announcements? He couldn’t remember the exact number of times.
“Ted!” A memorable voice called from down the abyss of metal plates. Ted stayed on the ground, curled up. He waited several seconds, waiting for another call or something more convincing. AM could have had that thing learn to mimic people.
“Ted?!” The voice called again. Ted stayed again. The darkness of the crawlspace is only illuminated by the cold lighting from outside. Shadows danced around the room, moving from side to side. The objects outside his hiding spot made loud screeches as they were moved harshly. The voices consistently called again, several of which were men.
Ted stared at the door, brought his hand up, wincing from the stretch of his muscles, and opened the crawlspace. The cold light annoyed his eyes and caused him to look away quickly. Gorrister’s voice called to you when he saw the bunched-up man.
The fast click of shoes filled the stuffy air of the crawlspace. Ted brought his hand up to his eyes and rubbed eagerly.
“We’ve been looking for you for a while now,” you say with a smile, delicately crouching to see inside the crawlspace. Ted stared attentively at you, watching as you sat close to him. The warmth from your thigh close to his gave it away that you were real. Your eyes wandered over the injuries left by the creature. “It got you, huh?”
You weren’t honest about finding him, he knew that! If you truly wanted him back, you would have so much earlier.
“Why didn’t you find me earlier? I bet you hate me too!” Ted mumbled suddenly, changing the subject quickly to feel something similar to pride about being right. You paused and sucked in a breath.
“You think that about all of us,” you state teasingly, knowing he would be quick to displeasure. Your hands were brought down to his thigh, carefully touching the wounded tissue. He flinched when you touched it particularly hard. He pulled away hastily. “We thought you would find your way back.”
Ted glared at you through his dark lashes. It was true but why would he admit that? It would hurt more than if he did such a thing! “Why didn’t you follow? I said there was something and I expected you to run with! You’re an idiot!” He exclaimed with extreme anger.
You hesitate at his sudden outburst; blinking was your only facial movement for several seconds. You laughed. Laughed? At him? Ted narrowed his eyes and almost naturally pointed at you and quickly went to accusations. “Why are you laughing? There’s nothing funny about this!” Ted spat and waited for your explanation.
“No! I’m not laughing at you! I didn’t see it! None of us saw it!” You said and held a hand to your chest to calm your breathing. “I couldn’t see it at all, the fire didn’t reach where you were pointing. None of us ran because none of us saw! But you did. That’s good, it means you have better eyesight than us.”
Better. Of course he was better. Maybe you weren’t stupid since you knew he was better than the entire group combined. Ted got quiet quickly and watched as you gently kissed his knuckle. “Of course, I am,” Ted mumbled, hoping he would come off as confident, which very obviously didn’t.
You suddenly engulfed him in your arms, squeezing slightly around his shoulders. Your hands slowly moved to his hair. Now Ted looked up at you as you engulfed him in your warm embrace. Your hands had gone to his hair and down his body, gently touching the wounds left by the demon that had found him. How he wanted to sob but he wouldn’t allow himself. It was almost instinctual how he wanted to cry each time you held him so kindly.
Ted didn’t dare push you away. Your lips continuously peppered his face in the sweet affection. Though he saw you as less than him, he felt there was a beauty to your kisses. No matter if you were buttering him up. Several minutes were spent in your arms, simply silent with your tender love, your hands in his hair, lips to his cheeks. The occasional kiss on the lips was the best part for him, his tense arms moving to hold you close. He wished he could put force into holding you, maybe your love would have lasted longer.
“We’re going to go for the peaches soon,” you state, staying close, taking his hand, and rubbing the dried blood from his fingertips. Ted glanced at the opening, watching the feet of the other group members, standing patiently or aimlessly walking around out of boredom. He shook his head quickly and pulled away again.
“It’s still out there!” Ted spat and pulled himself up to the best of his abilities. You narrowed your eyes and looked back at the others too. Gorrister had gone off with telling Benny about a story he liked, Nimdok in silent thought, and Ellen holding Benny with care.
“Whatever you saw isn’t out there. See?” You bring your hands to your body and pat yourself down. The feeling of your hands moving away from his body made the spots you touched feel cold. “I’m fine, and so are the others. It’s not here anymore.”
You try to pull him up again, but he doesn’t budge, very obviously too because of his annoyed look. You pause and look at his injuries again, truly assessing the damages. “It’s healed a bit,” you say, it was obvious. The blood around it had dried, including the puddle that had started a while back.
Ted braced himself as you caressed the affliction, covering it to the best of your ability with his torn pant leg. He pushes your hands away when you put a little too much pressure on one of the scabs, causing it to break open and let a small amount of the scarlet liquid out again. “Don’t touch me!” He hissed and slapped your arm out of anger.
You stare at the blood as it trailed and got sucked in by the fabric. Taking his hand into yours, you bring your head down to his injured thigh. Ted stiffened when he felt your lips gently kiss around the sensitive flesh.
A kiss. Ted looked down at you as you placed the kisses, a confused expression on his face. But he realized the gravity of the situation. He was getting comforting affection from you. Again! Each kiss left by your kind lips made him moan softly from the sting, even if it had partially healed.
You kept your head down for several minutes, you knew him so well that any affection for a long while would make him a lost dog for you. If you pulled away now and made him vulnerable enough, he’d beg you for another kiss. You could get him up and moving.
You were too kind to him, if only there was a way to repay you.

just an excuse to write about kissing ted <3 warnings/content: kissing, making out, getting together, cute stuff n fluff :)) ted lasso x gender neutral reader [i did write it with a male reader in mind but it can be read as gn too!!] word count: 2.6k also on ao3
messy hair
It was lunchtime at Richmond and you found yourself in front of your boss’ office, staring at the wooden door with a growing pit in your stomach. It’d been an odd day, one that you couldn’t wait to get over with, and being requested in your boss’ office for no apparent reason was not making it any better. You finally gathered up the courage to knock on the door and a voice drifted through the door, inviting you in.
“Oh, there you are,” Rebecca smiled from the couch as you opened the door and popped your head around the corner. Keeley sat beside her and she sent you a sweet smile before drinking from a small cup that clattered against the plate it was paired with. “Do come in, close the door behind you. Come, sit. There we go.”
You perched yourself on the edge of the couch, leaving some space between the three of you. “Am I in trouble or something?”
Rebecca gave you a confused smile as she leaned forward to place an empty plate on the table before raising her hands in defence and letting them drop back into her lap. “No, of course not. Why would you think that?”
“I don’t really get invited up here a lot. Not like Ted does. Can’t help but be a little worried.”
“Ted usually invites himself, really. Barges on up here like he owns the place.”
Keeley took a bite from a biscuit as she nodded, “God, these are so good. And yeah, he does do that.”
“He really does,” Rebecca sighed before giving you another smile. “No. You’re not in trouble, don’t worry. Just wanted to see how you are, really.”
“You… want to see how I am?”
“Yes. How are you doing today?”
You knitted your eyebrows together as you looked between them. Rebecca smiled patiently at you as Keeley stuffed another biscuit into her mouth. “I’m good. How are you doing?”
“You’re doing good? Are you sure?”
“Yes?”
Keeley shook her head, “You don’t seem so sure.”
“Am I missing something here?” You asked. “I’m confused.”
“You’ve just been out of it, is all,” Rebecca clarified. “We’ve been watching you on the pitch from here the past hour and you just seem different today. More reserved. Did something happen?”
“No,” you lied. “Nothing happened, I’m fine.”
“You don’t have to bottle things up, Coach Y/L/N. I’ve noticed you have a tendency to do that.”
They were right, you knew it. But even if you wanted to tell them what happened, you couldn’t. It wouldn’t be fair, for you or for Ted. You couldn’t just tell your boss that your co-worker (correction: best friend, the one that made you laugh no matter what, the man you were madly in love with and wished to be with every second of every day) tried to kiss you the night before and you totally freaked out and ruined the whole thing, leaving both of you distant and confused. No, you couldn’t tell her that.
“I’m fine, promise.”
Rebecca opened her mouth to reply but the door swung open and in walked Ted, a grin on his face and a little pink box in his hand. Keeley jumped up in joy at the sight of him, grabbing the box from his hand before he even had time to speak. “Told you,” Rebecca whispered to you with a smile. “He invites himself.” You tried to smile back but it turned into a grimace and she glanced between the two of you with a tilt of her head. “Ted,” she said, louder this time. “What brings you here at this hour?”
“Just wanted to see the boss and her little friend here. Didn’t know Coach was gon’ be here too, though. What a pleasant surprise,” he said with a grin, but the usual shine in his eyes had been erased and his happiness felt forced. It’d been like that the whole day, the two of you remaining civil yet not talking about what happened. “Anyways, I was lookin’ through my backpack and found an extra box of biscuits all tucked neatly away as if I’d forgotten to give them to you this mornin’. Scared me for a moment or two but then I realised I’d stress-baked last night and made… well, I won’t give you that number. Best to keep that mess a secret. But these ones were packed and ready to be eaten, so here you are.” He glanced at Keeley who had already eaten one and was reaching for another without any shame. “Glad someone’s enjoying them.”
Keeley offered you the box, “Do you want one, Y/N?”
“Nah,” you replied with a shake of your head. “Not hungry.”
“Have you ever tried one of Coach Lasso’s wonderful biscuits?” Rebecca asked and you shook your head. “Oh, please do try one. They’re incredible, you’re really missing out.”
Keeley offered you the box again and this time you gently took one out, aware that Ted was watching you like a hawk. You avoided his eye and took a bite, fighting back the urge to make an embarrassing noise at the taste. They were good. Like, really good. The best you’d ever eaten, you realised as you took another bite.
“So,” Ted said, “you like it? Ain’t too much on your lil taste buds there?”
“It’s perfect,” you replied, giving him a weak smile. “Tastes really good.”
Ted’s face dropped slightly and he looked around the room before gesturing toward the door, an awkward smile sliding onto his face. “Hey, uh, Coach. Can I talk to you for a quick mo’?”
You nodded, rubbing your hands together nervously as you stood. “Yeah, ‘course.” He began to walk to the door and you smiled politely at the girls as you followed. “I’ll see you later, yeah? Thanks for checking in on me and all.”
“You better come straight back, you hear me?” Keeley smiled. “We have so much to talk about.”
“Do we?”
Rebecca smiled, glancing between you and Ted with a curious look in her eye. “We do.”
You nodded and gave them a wave as you left, closing the door behind you and giving Ted a tight smile. He looked anxious, bless him, and you wanted to comfort him but you felt just as anxious and confused. “So…” You started, trailing off and letting the word hang in the air.
“This isn’t private enough,” Ted said before walking down the stairs, down the long stretch of hallway, around a corner, around another, and into the public men’s bathroom. You followed him every step of the way, a pit settling deep in your stomach. “Here we go.”
“You wanna talk to me… in the men’s bathroom?”
Ted scrunched his face up, leaning against one of the sinks closest to the door. “I admit it’s not the most sanitary place I coulda found but I figured it was the best bet.”
“Best bet for what?”
“To talk about what happened last night.”
You sighed, dropping your gaze to the dirty tile beside his left foot. “Ted–”
“I’m sorry, alright? I shouldn’t have done that. I don’t know what I was thinking. It was stupid, reckless, and I don’t know what came over me.” He took a deep breath, his hand running over the white porcelain on the sink nervously. “It was a silly mistake on my part and I’m really sorry. I hope I didn’t mess up the friendship we’ve managed to build up too much.”
Your breath caught in your throat and you managed to catch his eye. “A mistake?”
“...Yeah. A mistake.”
“Oh.”
Ted’s face changed and he looked guilty. His body jerked forward as if he were taking a step toward you but he fought against it. “Did you…” he started, voice quiet and drifting off on its own accord. He cleared his throat. “Did you not think it was a mistake?”
“No,” you whispered before you could stop yourself. “It was just weird timing.”
“Weird timing?” He asked, tilting his head. Realisation dawned on him and he gaped at you. “Does that mean you, you wanted me to… to kiss you?”
You nodded, eyes stuck once again on the tile beside his foot. He took a step toward you, and then another one, and your eyes flickered over the tiles until you were looking back into his eyes. He was inches away, head tilted down to look at you in a way that made you feel smaller than you were. It wasn’t particularly a bad feeling but it did make your skin prickle and your face flush.
“Can I kiss you again? Or is this weird timing, too?”
His voice was low, hushed.
You gave him a small anxious smile, falling even harder for him as he stared down at you with wide nervous eyes. “It’s more of a weird environment than anything.”
“Is that a… I can’t figure out your answer from that.”
“It’s a yes, Ted.”
His lips were on yours immediately, a gentle hand reaching up to cup your cheek as his other slid over your lower back. You gasped into his mouth but wasted no time in grabbing him by his hips and tugging him closer, tilting your head to the side to deepen the kiss. Your tongue slid easily against his and Ted tightened his grip, shifting around so that both of his hands were holding your face as if you might break and he was pressing you against the wall.
“Holy smokes,” Ted whispered against your lips when he pulled back. “That was…”
“Much better than yesterday,” you finished for him with a laugh.
“Yeah, much better than yesterday,” he sighed, pressing another kiss against your lips, this one more gentle. He then pressed another kiss against your lips. And another. And then another. It got more desperate as he went and soon enough you couldn’t pull away from each other again.
“Ted,” you mumbled against his lips, “we’re in a public bathroom.”
He hummed against your lips. “That we are.”
“Anyone could walk in.”
“That they could.” Before you could say anything else, Ted pulled away from you and took your hand in his, leading you into the closest cubicle and locking the door behind you. He smiled at you as his hands dropped to your waist, pulling you close and dropping a kiss on your cheek. “Now no one will see us.” He pressed another kiss to your cheek, this time lower, and then one to your jaw. Then one below your jaw, before nipping at your neck with a cheeky smirk. “Better?”
You let out a laugh of disbelief as your hand slid up over his back and tangled into his hair. “Ted, we’re at work.”
“So? What we do on our breaks isn’t anyone's business, ya see?” As if to prove his point, he lightly bit down on the sensitive part of your neck. “No one will know.”
His lips dropped lower down, a hand coming up to shift away the collar of your shirt so that he could explore uncharted territory. You let out a half-grunt half-moan as he bit down over your collarbone, harder than the last. Ted’s smirk grew into a grin and you couldn’t help but laugh, giving him a gentle tap across his shoulder as you pushed him away.
“Don’t get all cocky about this now,” you scolded, even when you tugged him back toward you by the dishevelled collar of his shirt to kiss him with the power of a thousand suns.
“Can’t help it,” he mumbled between kisses. “Can’t believe this is really happening.”
“Is this how you wanted yesterday to go?” You asked, becoming serious for a moment as you locked eyes with him. He nodded and you pouted slightly. “I’m sorry I reacted the way I did.”
“It’s okay, truly. I’m just glad we got this now.”
“Me too.”
He released your face momentarily to check his watch and he groaned. “Six minutes until breaks over.”
“Takes me about a minute to get to the office from here, so we actually got five minutes left.”
“Four minutes if you take off the time needed to clean ourselves up.”
“Right,” you nodded, pressing your lips against his again before pulling back abruptly. “Shit, I still gotta go back to talk to the Boss. That needs about a minute or two.”
“So two minutes left,” Ted replied.
“About a minute and a half now,” you corrected.
He nodded against you seriously, as if this was life or death, before capturing your lips again and kissing you as if it were the last time he ever could. The next minute and a half was the best minute and a half you’d ever had. Ted’s hands were all over you: teasing at your waist, sliding over your back, burying themselves into your already-mused hair, lightly holding you by the neck. You couldn’t keep your hands off him either, alternating between resting your palms against his sturdy chest and tangling them into his soft brown locks.
Pulling back with a gasp, you grabbed Ted’s arm and checked his watch, cursing at the time. “We’re gonna be late.”
“Huh?” Ted asked, breathless. He moved his arm so he could see the watch himself and his eyes turned comically wide. “Shoot. You don’t wanna ditch Rebecca, she won’t like that. You gotta go now. I’ll stay here for another mo, make it look less suspicious.”
You reached around him to unlock the door as you pressed another kiss to his lips, this one softer and more intimate. It felt less like you were trying to keep the new-found romance a secret and more like you were allowing yourself this moment of peace before you were thrown back into work. He smiled against you, his moustache tickling your nose, and you smiled back before pulling away and closing the cubicle door behind you.
You only had a moment to glance at yourself in the mirror and you wished you hadn’t. The image was burned into your brain as you rushed up to Rebecca’s office–your hair was all over the place, messier than usual and definitely noticeable, and your lips were bright red, bruised, and looked in dire need of some chapstick. You smiled at people as they walked by, confused double-takes following you as you walked, before stopping in front of Rebecca’s office. You couldn’t stay long, not if you wanted to get back onto the pitch as soon as possible, but you knew she’d appreciate the effort of you stopping by,
Clearing your throat and straightening your back, you opened the door with a calm smile. Rebecca and Keeley were still sitting on the couch, both holding empty plates in their hands, and at the sight of you their jaws dropped. You couldn’t help but laugh at their expressions, knowing full well what it must look like, and you closed the door behind you.
“You– Wh– Ted–” Keeley started, eyes wide. “Wait… Ted?!”
You shrugged, a cocky grin sliding onto your face. “Ted.”
Rebecca choked on nothing. “That wasn’t on my bingo card for this year.”
Keeley turned to her with a raised eyebrow. “You have a bingo card for the year?”
“Yes. Don’t you?”
“No, but I do now. And this would have definitely been on it if it was made exactly 30 seconds before now.”
You laughed along before looking down at the pitch, seeing the boys were already filing onto the pitch. Ted trailed behind them and you could see his hair stuck up at every angle–clearly, he hadn’t made an attempt to tidy himself up and instead embraced it. You smiled at the girls again, the two of them giving you cheeky knowing smiles, before asking: “I’m assuming one of you has a hairbrush I can borrow?”

date night (kirishima ejirou x gn. reader)
( pov: i write something sweet and mushy and cornier than a farmer's shit for no reason )
Quietly, you crack the door to your room a little. The creak resounds down the dark dorm halls, making you wince on spot. "Don't get caught," you mutter, digging your nails into your palm. "Don't get caught."
You slip through the small, open gap and start running, not sparing a glance behind you. As long as you don't get caught, it'll be worth it.
You and Kirishima will finally have an uninterrupted date.
"The first one was, but the rest sucked."
"So, you gotta boyfriend?"
"Why? You wanna ask me out?"
"Is this a make out movie?" Kirishima whispers, eyebrows raised in mock shock. You shift your position on his shoulder. Smiling, you say, "Wait till the slasher shows up."
He puts his arms round your right arm; you lean into it, sighing contently. Sure, he was almost suffocating you due to his big ass muscles. Sure, you both had already seen this movie. Does that mean this date was a flop?
Nope. You take another sip of soda, stifling a laugh. Kirishima slowly blinks at you, nervously scratching the top of his head. "Am I missing something? Or are you laughing at a gutting?"
"Oh, it's just that I happen to love you." He grins and holds onto you even tighter, like you're a jewel: hard to find but worth it.
"Well," he draws out the pronunciation, "I got somethin' to say!" He abruptly gets up, leaving you falling against his bed pillows, amused.
"Yeah?" He nods excitedly, fists held out in front of him, shoulders tense. You can't begin to understand what he's alluding too, but you sit up. He opens his mouth to speak but –
Quiet snickers arise from Kirishima's closet. "Shut your laughin' ass up, Kaminari!"
"Bro's about to say something mushy and romantic, it's either I laugh or cry!"
You collapse face first back onto the the bed, shouting cuss words into the mattress. The noises from the closet quickly shut up. Kirishima softly rubs the small of your back. "I'm so sorry. I told them that it wasn't cool and they said they'd stop but..." His voice cracks a little.
You roll over. You reach up and cup his cheek, gently stroking the spot with your thumb. You attempt a small smile to cheer him up. His friend group had tagged along as three third wheels for awhile. At first, it was amusing, even fun.
But, it gotta annoying (hella) fast. Tonight was supposed to be a private date, and well ... it wasn't anymore. A deep, lingering sigh escapes your throat.
Kirishima hangs his head in shame. "I thought tonight would be just us. I had a big surprise." He leans in and your foreheads are touching, the warmth between the two of you shared in silence. It turns into a hug, and it's only then that you hear the closet door open.
You catch a glimpse of the three goon hero students exiting the room with remorseful eyes glancing back at you. You nod briefly in their direction before meeting Kirishima's eyes again.
You lift up his chin and unwrap his arms from around you. "Go ahead ahead and tell me your surprise," you softly whisper. His familiar grin slowly returns to his face.
"Right." He takes a step back while holding your hand. He gives it a squeeze and then lets go. "I wanted it to be just us tonight because," He gets down on one knee. "I got something important to ask."
You cover your mouth in disbelief. Blood rushes to your face making you feel warm all of a sudden. You take a seat back on the bed. He scratches his neck, sudden self consciousness affecting his voice.
"We're about to graduate, but I know I don't wanna be out there without you, so, uh, will you," He anxiously digs around in his pocket. You rub your arms with sweaty palms. Can't he just get to the part where you say yes? He pulls out a black, velvet-coated box and opens it.
"Marry me?"

Cutest Cup Ever
Tumblr media
Ted Nivion x reader (gender neutral) Requested by: Anon Proofread: N/A Genre: Fluff Music: POV: You're Falling in Love With The Bad Boy Warnings: None! Cutie pies! Summary: You find out about age regression and that you regress. Good thing Teddy has something he think you might like :) Author's Note: I missed writing tooth-rotting fluff <3
-Mod Kenma
You had missed Ted terribly when he went away for a while. It was boring. You missed cuddling with him and watching him edit videos. It was one of those things where you just sucked it up and tried to live like you normally did. You did see him and Eddy off before their trip, so that was fun. Going to the rainforest cafe was fun! It was classic nostalgia that you had so deeply missed.
When you watched him leave, you tried to be as productive as possible. It felt lonely without Ted there. You wanted to be with him so badly, existing with him was enough to make you unbelievably happy. You cleaned the apartment up and down, went out with friends, and even taught yourself some hobbies.
While it was enough to keep you occupied for a little while, it didn't hold your attention as well as certain things did. You found yourself sitting on the living room floor, criss-cross, watching Bluey. You watched the colorful dogs live their lives, enjoying every moment, and learning different things. You found yourself captivated by the things the little Bluey and Bingo learned.
It was a slow build-up at first. You hardly noticed it. Some tasks became a little harder to complete. Your brain felt a little fuzzy. It was just so much easier to sit down on the couch or floor and do something childish. Coloring felt better when it was out of the lines, food was tastier when it was cut into smaller bite-sized portions.
Over time, you learned what was going on. It's called 'age regression'. It was a new thing to get used to but..it wasn't a bad thing. it helped you cope with being alone. It made you feel more at peace than the anxious thoughts that plagued your mind. You allowed yourself to be more childish, playing with small toys you bought and coloring. It felt like you were giving your mind a break.
Soon it dawned on you, would you be able to still do this type of stuff with Ted around? Would he still accept you and love you? You shook your head. Ted was one of the most understanding people you knew. He understood you in ways you could hardly describe. It was never difficult for you to be honest with him. So as soon as you could, you would tell Ted.
His arrival back home was much sooner than you thought but you were still so happy to see him again. While you spent 2 days of his mission with him, the rest was spent at home. You missed Ted like crazy and it was pretty obvious to him but it wasn't like he minded. Ted held you for what felt like hours as he complained and praised The Rainforest Cafe.
You listened intently, loving his little stories. His words meant the world to you. After his long story, Ted asked if you had any stories to tell from when he was gone. You hesitated for a moment. This was the perfect time to tell him. Through hushed embarrassed whispers, you explained age regression to Ted, cheeks pink.
Ted nodded, taking it all in. His silence worried you, making you rethink everything you told him. All Ted did was smile and press a soft kiss on your forehead. "Thank you for being so open with me." He said softly, running his fingers through your hair. You closed your eyes for a moment to savor Ted's soft touches, thankful that he was so understanding. It made your heart so unbelievably happy.
"And, I think something that will make you feel better is a cute cup I got from the Rainforest Cafe. I think it'll be something you'll enjoy." Ted gently let you go and went through his bags before he found what he was looking for. You waited patiently as he dug through everything. Ted returned to you not too long after with his slushie cup he got with the frog mascot head at the top.
You laughed at how goofy it was, it was beyond ridiculous and you adored it. You took it from Ted's hands and inspected it. "It's so....weird." You say with a giggle. Ted took it from you and washed it before filling it up with apple juice. He handed it back to you with a soft smile. Ted always had your back, no matter what.

Father Figure
Aka how Chuckle Sammie reacts to finding out y/n sees them as a father/parental figure
Gn reader
Charlie;
Panics internally, not knowing how to deal with this tidbit of information but decides ultimately to embrace it
Becoming the dad friend, making sure y/n and the rest of the chuckle sammie boys make sure to care for themselves
‘Did you drink the clear juice? Eats the eats? Sleeps the sleeps?’ Even reminding them to take their meds if needed
Very much a ‘they said no pickles’ type of dude
Finds it adorable when y/n hides behind him when spooked
He takes care of them so often that y/n gets extremely happy when they finally get to return the favor whether it's making Charlie a cup of tea or placing a blanket on him when spotting him asleep on the couch
Ted;
Is somewhat smug about it, making his voice low when he responds with ‘You see me as a father figure y/n?’
Is genuinely touched by the gesture despite how it was blurted out, them accidentally calling him ‘dad’
Ted occasionally joins in on Charlie’s shenanigans, ‘the filtered piss?
Otherwise he acts nonchalant about it, he does become more affectionate toward them though
Ruffling their hair whenever he passes them, incorporating phrases like ‘hey sport,’ ‘kiddo,’ ‘bugsie,’ basically treating them akin to a younger sibling
There’s many candid pics taken by Charlie and Schlatt of Ted giving y/n a piggy back ride
Schlatt;
Corrects them immediately, ‘if we’re doing this father figure bullshit then call me daddy tuts.’
Teases them whenever he can, ‘now is that how you treat daddy?’ Despite how much it make Ted & Charlie cringe at the word.
Y/n returning it with just as much sass, ‘I don’t remember you giving birth to me.’
If he’s winning at a board game against them, he’ll yell out ‘who’s your daddy now!?’ Throwing down the needed cards
If it makes them uncomfortable, saying ‘daddy’ instead of ‘dad’ or ‘father,’ he’ll try to correct himself. At the very least, tone it down some
Any time they spot a trucker hat saying ‘world’s greatest dad,’ they immediately buy it to the point Schlatt has a collection of them among other dad themed gifts
