I'm a little late on this but mostly because I kept forgetting it was Friday? The current chaos is keeping me in a constant state of frazzled.
Anyway!
"Imaginary Friends" by Stephen Chbosky was so utterly dispointing once the true plot was revealed at the 63% mark that it ended up in the "didn't finish" pile. If I could have, I would have given it negative stars because nothing makes me more annoyed then enjoying a story just for it to betray me like that.
I'm now 30% of the way through "The Strange Case of the Alchemist's Daughter" by Theodora Goss. Its a fun romp around Sherlock Holmes' Victorian/Edwardian England. The writing style is a little amateurish with the characters interrupting each other's narrative as they "write their accounts" but over all its interesting and fun.
My plan for after this is "Percy Jackson's Greek Heros" by Rick Riordan and then "Warrior's Heir" after that. Then I'll have to see if the other books in the "The Srange Case" universe are available through my library.
