I'm happy to see a new writers blog (^з^)-☆Chu!!
Is it ok if I request Stardew Valleys favorite adhd golden retriever Sam protecting y/n from some Dudes at the Saloon who make her feel uncomfortable (no matter if platonic or romantic) or just him teaching them how to play the guitar :)
A/N: oooh my first request on this account! Thank you for taking the time to request this from me:) i’ll be doing both requests so check back sometime to see if I did! I tried to do this as ambiguously as I could(gender neutral reader, can be read as romantic or platonic)
Tw: catcalling, harassment, cursing, threat of violence
Word count:1.3k
Laughter and shouts filled the Saloon as they usually did on Friday night’s. Your eyes raked over everyone’s form in amusement as you waited for Emily to return with your and Sam’s drinks. Pam was swaying in her seat as usual, chatting up some stranger who had wandered into Pelican Town the previous day. His face was still, a smile frozen on his lips as he listened to her flirt with him loudly, though no one else in the Saloon paid her any attention. His friends laughed behind him and hollered everytime Pam had said something that was slightly dirty. Rolling your eyes in amusement at the sight you sigh and watch someone else to pass the time.
“I am so sorry!” Emily looked slightly sweaty as she set the drinks down a little too harshly. You shrugged and took hold of them, gripping them tightly to counteract the spilled liquid making them slippery.
“No big deal.”
“Those guys over there,” she justs her chin in their direction, something close to a glimmer of annoyance in her eyes, “they’ve been keeping me busy all night.” It was the first time you’d seen her be anything close to upset.
“It’s cool…hey did they say anything about where they’re from, or why they’re here?”
“They came here from Zuzu City, something about a road trip…” she sighs and shakes her head as one of the strangers calls her over again. Raising your eyebrows you take the drinks from the bar and head over to the game room. From the looks of it, Sam had lost to Sebastian (again), and was now sitting sulking on one of the couches while Abigail replaced him in playing. Handing him his drink, you sit down next to him, sipping on yours, content with how your life had turned out.
“You did not!” Abigail exclaims, smacking the pool table while Sebastian shrugs, a smirk on his face, you weren’t really paying attention to what had happened, but already knew that he was winning.
“I don’t know why you challenged him, Abby,” you laughed out, “he beats all of us every time!”
“One of these days…”she frowns, lining up her next shot.
As soon as she goes to hit the ball, a loud yell startles all of you, the sound coming from a place that was way too close to your little bubble. Turning your head to spot who yelled, you’re taken aback by the sight of the guy who was talking to Pam earlier, having abandoned his group of friends in favor of bothering your group, leaning against the doorway to the game room. While it wasn’t illegal or not allowed, you felt annoyed that he had decided to come in and disrupt the vibes you were coasting on.
“Aw, fuck!” Abigail stomped her foot, after having missed the shot due to the guys’ disruption. The drunken man let out a low whistle, eyes raking over Abigail’s form. She frowned at him, and turned back to the game, ignoring his presence. Sebastian had already taken to continuing to play the game. Silently you decided to do the same, focusing your eyes on the pool table in front of you, uncomfortable.
“Say, girl, you got a man?” The man called out to Abigail who promptly turned to glare at him, she clutched the cue stick so tightly that her knuckles had turned white. For a second you thought she was going to swing at him with it.
“Say, man, do you wanna keep your balls?”
You snorted at her words, the man putting his hands up in mock surrender. “Okay, okay…what about you, sweet thang?” He turns to you
You stare at him in shock at how he turned so quickly from hitting on her to hitting on you, and while you did not have as quick of comebacks as Abigail, you still wanted to deter him from speaking to you again. “Same as she said,'' you jut your chin at Abigail and take a sip of your drink, “not interested”.
“Come on, you sure?” he moves closer to you, so in turn you scoot closer to Sam almost sitting on top of him. “Looks like your little boyfriend there wouldn’t treat you right…not like I could.” His drunken slurring made you cringe, and his attempt at chatting you up just seemed sad as he stumbled forward. Still, you weren’t one to be mean, you wouldn’t have gotten to where you are by being mean, and so you attempt to discourage him again, only to be ignored.
“They said they aren’t interested,” Sam’s voice makes you jolt, “so that means go away…y'know...fuck off.”
Surprised at his words, you turn in your seat to gawk at him. He wasn’t the type to curse. Sure he said ‘shit’ or ‘hell’ sometimes, but other things were rarely heard from him. “What? Did I hurt your feelings dude?” The man speaks again, now his attention now focused on Sam instead of you. “Say, we could even let you watch as I-”
Sam stands, and you follow behind him, not really wanting him to resort to violence, but at the same time wanting the man to get decked one good time. The man chuckles and looks over Sam’s shoulder to peer at you, “change your mind, doll?” you scoff and ignore him, focused on whatever moves Sam was going to make.
Sebastian and Abigail watched silently from the pool table, neither making any moves to either stop or help Sam, which only made you think that either he wasn’t going to do anything, or that they thought he wouldn’t need help in kicking this guy’s ass. Sam takes a deep breath and walks past the guy.
“See, he wasn’t going to do anythi-” the man is yanked backwards in the middle of speaking, and in shock you follow Sam who was now dragging the man out of the game room and across the saloon.
The drunken man struggled to regain his footing, knocking over stools as they passed them, yelling out protests and profanities the longer that Sam dragged him by his shirt. You stifled a laugh as you trailed behind them. The rest of the saloon died down, everyone’s eyes moving over to Sam and the guy, and by extension you as you three made your way up to the group of strangers who were still sitting and laughing by the bar.
Sam pats one of them on the shoulder, waiting until he turns around to drop the drunken man’s shirt, parking him next to the guy. “You lost this.”
Now you laugh, it’s choked out and out of surprise, and it gains the attention of the guy and his friends plus the rest of the town who were trying to not be nosy. You put your hands on your knees, and Sam leads you back to the game room, both of you plopping down on the sofa, your group returning to your activities. Turning to look at Sam, you snort again. He still looked very pissed, and was now gulping the rest of his drink. You can hear the group of guys loudly chastising their friend.
“You lost this?” you repeat back to him, amused and thankful for his help. He shrugs and puts his drink down, his face morphing from angry to embarrassed.
“I didn’t know what else to say!” he whines and leans against you.
“Honestly, I’m surprised Sam,” Sebastian starts, hitting a ball, “I thought you were going to kick that guy’s ass for a minute.” Both you and Abigail snort, causing Sam to move deeper into the couch, face now red.
For a moment you sit there, taking in the vibes and the air around you. Times like these were few and far in between, but God did it make you appreciate living in a small town like this one.

Alex x Reader
It’s the way I have been absolutely possessed the past few days. I’ve been in a huge writing slump but then the new year hit and my brain just. Decided to function? We’re riding the wave folks we’ll see how long it keeps up lol.
ANYWAY! Enjoy the third fulfilled ask in a week. I hope y’all aren’t sick of me yet lmao. NSFW under the cut and remember MDNI
Tumblr media
“Are you sure you can’t break these?” You ask, pulling at one of the knots binding Alex to your bed.
Alex stares up at you, all big green eyes and still-confident smirk. “Even I can’t do that. I’ll prove it. But you don’t have to worry baby. It’s no sweat, I can behave.”
He flexes and you watch the veins in his arms protrude as he turns his wrists this way and that, trying and failing to find any give in your handiwork. A flush burns down your face, and your throat feels dry as you eye him up and down—large and muscular and completely at your mercy.
You would have never thought that Alex and his body builder physique would be in such a submissive position. Naked, spread eagle and tied to your bedposts, muscles taught and cock flushed. Laid out for you to devour however you please.
You run your palms up his chest, and his skin is hot against yours, smooth and solid as you work your way up. His pounding heart startles you, feeling how fast and hard it’s beating in his chest. For a minute you stall, feeling the strong rhythmic thump, and almost ask if he’s alright.
Almost, except you can see the way his cock twitches and precome beads at the tip just from your idle touches. You haven’t so much as breathed on it, yet it’s straining so hard already it’s obvious his heart rate isn’t due to nerves.
You straddle him, fighting your cocky smile away, and purposefully maintain eye contact as you suck one of his nipples. Alex instantly forgets his restraints, jerking an arm and making the bed-frame rattle. He was right—the knots aren’t going anywhere.
He pants out a heavy breath, and you hide your delight as you lavish attention on his other nipple. You won’t tease him for too long. Not this first time, anyway.
You push your hips back as you skim your teeth along his shoulder, making sure to rub it in that you can touch as much as you want by stroking up his ribcage, down his sides, along his arms.
Only a little more teasing, you think as you glide your wet cunt across his cock, pretending to have trouble guiding it in as you squeeze it’s base and coat it in your arousal.
“Ahh, please,” he whines, hips bucking as much as the pitiful give in his binds allow, “baby I can’t.”
“What happened Alex? It was no sweat what, two minutes ago? Not even?”
He opens his mouth to respond, and you stop him by sinking all the way down on his cock. His hands strain, and you can tell by the way he’s flushing and tossing his face to the side he’d be hiding in his hands to mute the stuttering moan that falls past his lips.
You don’t give him a moment of respite, electing to ride hard and fast. Without the use of his hands Alex can’t modulate your pace. Typically he’d slow you down, keep you steady, but now you’re allowed the free rein to completely ruin him.
“Ah, w-wait,” he huffs, hips twitching and grinding like he might be able to make you listen to him without using his safe word.
It’s too bad you aren’t in a listening mood.
He can’t take it for too long, biting his lip and breathing in stuttering gasps while he tries to stave off his orgasm.
“Ba-aby, I—“ Alex’s voice cracks, “I’m not gonna—hah—I’m really—“
Either he can’t hold himself off anymore, or he realizes you’re not going to listen, because Alex’s babbling ceases as his back arches and he comes with a whine, his muscles straining and flushed down to his chest.
Your cunt throbs as you slow down through his orgasm, gyrating against his hips until he stops twitching. He’s starting to catch his breath, and you bite down on a smile as you pick up the pace, watching as his face twists up.
“A-h-ah—you—I—“ his voice is a squeak, stopping abruptly as he feel you continuing to rock against his soft cock. A low-grade hum buzzing out of his chest continually as you ride him relentlessly. When it doesn’t stop, you finally still.
“Safe word?” You ask, stroking his cheek and feeling the heat of his skin against yours.
“Nuh—no,” he gasps out, bucking into your cunt despite the way it makes him cry out.
You smirk. This is going to be a fun night.

Hanging out on a Saturday night was a ritual for you, Sebastian, Abigail, and Sam. You all rotate on who's place you hang out at, and tonight was Sebastian's. Abigail was laid out on the couch, Sebastian sitting on his bed, and you and Sam were on the floor. After a very intense game of Jackbox, with a lot of chaotic answers and laughter, it was nearing midnight.
“I cannot believe you put that! That was a direct jab at me and you know it!” Sam said towards Abigail's direction, obviously not actually upset.
“Then clean up the fuckin' pizza boxes in your room! That rat would've become your best friend if your mom didn't find him- wait- what time is it? ... oh shit, my dad is gonna kick my ass!” Abigail said, jumping up at lightning speed and grabbing her bag. “Sorry to kill the party, love you guys, if I get lectured one more time this week I am going to pull out my hair. Bye bye!”
And off she goes, leaving just as chaotic as she came. Sounds about right. The remaining three of you laughed, before Sam stood up and grabbed his things as well. “For some reason Mom wants me to come to church in the morning, she saw some lyrics to one of our songs and she kind of flipped her shit. Soooo, gotta atone for my sins. Have fun you two,” he said, sending a small wink Sebastian's way before making his way up the stairs.
You saw the wink, it definitely caught you off guard. You immediately snapped your head towards Sebastian. “What was that for?” you said with a smirk, which wasn't held for long. It slipped into a smile, moving from the floor to the now empty couch.
Sebastian's expression remained neutral, rolling his eyes. “Sam is always up to something, ignore him. Do you wanna stay and hang for a little while? I don't have anything to do tomorrow,” he said, looking towards the cabinet of games that sat beside his gaming console. He never asked anyone to stay later, especially when it's his night to host. He usually wants everyone out, Sebastian cherishes his alone time.
Butterflies erupted in your stomach when he asked you this, he actually wanted to spend more time with you? You felt so honored and special, of course you were going to stay. “Yeah, what did you wanna do?”
“I bought a game, it's co-op. Wanna try it out? It's a platformer, it seems pretty easy,” he said, walking over to the cabinet and grabbing the case. He made his way back over to you, showing you the back of the case, carefully studying your features. He wanted to make sure you were actually interested, and when your face lit up, he couldn't hold back a smile. It was rare for him, but it was perfect.
“Hell yeah, let's pop this bad boy in!” you said, sitting up excitedly and scooting over so that you two could share the couch. After 'popping that bad boy in', he sat next to you and handed you the controller.
Sebastian put on the tutorial before beginning to show you the controls. He described what to do, but due to your drowsiness from working all day, you just couldn't grasp what the controls were. “Here,” he mumbled, thinking for a moment before carefully putting his hands over yours.
“Alright, shoot with this button, alright?” he said, making sure not to get too close to you. He didn't want to make you uncomfortable, but these little touches were really nice ... he could get used to this.
“Mhm ...” you hummed, although your brain was short-circuiting. Every single thought in your brain was rendered useless in that moment, every place where you two touched felt like it was on fire. You clumsily tried to recreate his movements, shooting when he asked and jumping when he instructed. You learned the controls, but barely.
“Got it?” he said simply, slowly beginning to let go of you. He didn't really want to, but he didn't want to overstep your boundaries. He really cared about you, he didn't want to jeopardize that.
With a hesitant nod of confirmation, you two began the game. It was a mess, you definitely did not grasp the controls whatsoever. However, he enjoyed seeing what kind of trouble you got yourself into. How could you even get up there?
“Okay- when you jump, press the trigger to latch on to that cliff, and do NOT let go-” he tried to explain as you jumped with all of your might ... just to not even touch the cliff. Your body hit the floor with a splat, and you both sat in silence for a few seconds, staring at each other. Small snickers turned into full blown laughter, falling down onto the couch as you both held your faces.
“How the hell am I so stupid?? That was so easy! How the hell did I miss that??” you cackled, wiping the tears that began to fall from your eyes.
“I have no idea but it was one of the best things I've ever seen,” Sebastian's laughter began to quiet as he sat up, his gaze making its way down to you. You looked so perfect in the soft light of the television, so happy from the laughter that was encasing the both of you. He could not stop smiling.
“What?” you said softly, a gigantic grin on your face. You couldn't move, you just wanted to stay in this moment forever.
“... nothing. Just ... capturing this moment,” Sebastian said in a gentle tone, taking a deep breath before looking back at the screen. “You're a ghost now, but you can still help me and eventually I can revive you.”
You slowly sat up, but you had an idea. You slid a little closer to him than you were before, your legs touching. “Alright, I'll be the best fuckin' ghost in town,” you laughed, knowing you were bound to fuck it up but you had no care in the world. This was too fun.
He looked over at your legs touching, smiling even wider before continuing the game. He would ask you to do things as a ghost as you did ... with enough trial and error. He did notice that you kept adjusting and scooting closer and closer. He really liked this.
“Do you know how to freeze someone?" he asked, which you shook your head to. “Let me see this-” he mumbled, wrapping his arm around you, definitely just wanting to help you see the controls. You were essentially sitting in his lap at this point, a soft pink blush creeping onto both of your faces.
His face was so close, pressed almost right up against yours ... you wanted to stay here forever, but you didn't want to say anything that would ruin the moment. Nervous silence held you two for a moment, before he did something that both of you wanted more than anything. He carefully kissed your cheek, before going back to the game as if nothing ever happened.
Your brain melted, a feeling of bliss overtaking your body. You've been waiting for that for ages. You slowly leaned back into his chest as he laid down his controller for a moment. He wrapped his arms around your waist for a moment, giving you a careful squeeze. You reached your arms up around his neck, hugging him back. Neither of you cared about the game anymore.
“Stay here tonight. If you want to,” Sebastian muttered softly, holding your body close to his. He didn't dare let go, and neither did you.
You stayed there that night, you stayed wrapped up in his arms until the daylight and you had to work on your farm. But you hoped one day, you could wake up next to him everyday. Maybe someday, but for now, you had many Saturday nights where you stayed over later than everybody else.

Flower Dance
Haley (Stardew) x She/Her Reader
A/N: I liked the idea, but I don’t think I executed it as well as I hoped I would because I got impatient. Still not too bad though I think. I wrote this in November of 2022. Sharing it now because why not. Word Count: 2,383
“Ew, no.”
Haley had regretted the words as soon as she had spit them out like an defensive cobra.
Hurt was written all over the farmer’s face as she recoiled from Haley like she had been burned.
Haley saw the year’s worth of progress she had made getting out of her shell and becoming friends with (Y/n) crumble before her very eyes. She tried to say something, anything, to peddle back from the harsh way she had answered, but (Y/n) recovered first. At least somewhat.
“…Alright then, sorry. A simple no would have sufficed.” She mumbled. “Excuse me.”
Haley reached for her but froze halfway before withdrawing. Her hands fell to her sides in tight fists.
Why did she say that? It was only (Y/n), the sweet farmer who had taken the time to scale Haley’s walls to find her soft and more vulnerable self within.
Daffodils in the spring, ice cream in the summer, sunflowers in fall, pink cake in winter… (Y/n) had been nothing but nice to her even from the beginning when Haley insulted her clothes and earthy scent. Back then the farmer had been able to brush her off, but Haley’s words definitely had a direct impact this time.
She didn’t mean to speak to her like that. She had just been startled that (Y/n) would even think to ask. The thought of dancing with her made Haley’s face burn and her heart thump in her ears. She wasn’t sure if it was excitement or fear that was causing those reactions, but clearly fear had won out when she opened her stupid mouth.
What should she do now?
“Haley,”
Haley turned to find that Alex was walking up to her. She tried to school her expression into something more neutral before he got too close to notice.
“The dance is starting soon. Are we partnering up again this year?”
Haley scanned the field for (Y/n) and bit the inside of her lip when she couldn’t see her. She was the Flower Queen, she was expected to be a part of the ceremonial first dance. As much as she wanted to go look for (Y/n) and apologize, that would have to wait. It would be better to talk to her when her heart stopped pounding anyway.
“Yeah,” Haley nodded, linking Alex’s elbow with hers, “let’s get in position.”
When they did find their places, Haley watched the usual pairs link up. Finally she saw (Y/n) conversing with Robin and Demetrius on the sidelines. Haley remembered last year, wondering why the new farmer hadn’t bothered to come to the dance. At first, she thought she had some kind of sense of superiority over the townsfolk, but it was a traditional town event after all, not a club in Zuzu City. It would probably have been uncomfortable after only being a part of the community for a couple weeks.
Now a year later, (Y/n) had felt comfortable enough to join in on the festivities and Haley had surely made her regret stepping away from her busy farm life with the utterance of those two stupid words.
Good job, idiot.
She continued to watch over Alex’s shoulder as Leah unexpectedly walked up. Leah? Leah usually danced with Elliot. What was she doing sidling up to (Y/n) like that? Haley looked around for the writer, but he was nowhere to be seen. Was he sick or something?
Haley looked back in time to see (Y/n) smile kindly at something Leah had said and felt something burning within her as Leah offered (Y/n) her hand and the farmer took it.
“What’s going on behind me that has you squeezing my shoulders like that?” Alex asked, craning his head back, “It kinda hurts.”
“Nothing.” Haley snapped.
She turned her head away from (Y/n) and Leah, trying to ignore them bonding over being the newest residents of the valley and how Leah’s first Flower Dance went. How Leah taught (Y/n) the steps, something that could have been Haley’s honor not even ten minutes ago.
“Doesn’t seem like nothing,” Alex winced, “Come on Haley, I can feel your nails through my shirt.”
“Sorry.” Haley eased up a bit, but her steely gaze still lingered on the two women butchering the steps while snickering to each other.
Haley was furious. They were making a mockery of the long standing tradition! That was definitely what was pissing her off. Not the fact that she could have just as easily been in Leah’s shoes, helping (Y/n) find her footing and laughing with her instead—
“Too tight again Haley, damn!” Alex hissed, finally twirling Haley around so he could take a look at what was pissing her off so bad that she felt the need to leave him bruised.
“What am I supposed to be seeing here?”
“Just drop it.” Haley nearly growled.
“Ohhhh,” Alex winced upon spotting Leah and (Y/n) spinning together, “I get it. Well, they could just be dancing as friends like us you know. You’re not out of this yet.”
“What are you talking about?” She grumbled.
“(Y/n) and Leah. I figured farm girl would steal my spot this year. I was kinda hoping for it too,” Alex pulled at his collar, “this outfit is always so itchy.”
“Why would I dance with her? That makes no sense.” Haley shot defensively, not loud enough for anyone else to hear, but loud enough to make Emily peer over Shane’s shoulder to try and see what her sister was so grumpy about.
“Uhh, don’t you like her?” Alex asked with uncertainty, “I could have sworn—“
“I do not!” Haley fumed, heart pounding and face flushing once again, “Why would you think that?”
“The last time we were in your dark room. I mean, dude, like, a loooot of your pictures lately have been of (Y/n)…”
“I needed to have a gallery that showcased humans and nature for an online class!” Haley defended, though her cheeks blushed darker, “I sure as hell wasn’t going to ask that weirdo in the mountains if I could follow him around for a couple days. (Y/n) was the obvious choice.”
“I don’t get why you’re so defensive about it. It’s cool if you like her or whatever. You know I don’t care. Emily definitely wouldn’t. I think no one would mind as much as you seem to, or you’re at least in the minority on the subject.”
“I. Do. Not. Like. Her. Like. That.” Haley gritted out.
Alex sighed heavily. Why did Haley always have to be so stubborn? He had an idea, but it was going to be just a little mean…
“Oh whoa, they’re totally making out.”
“What?!”
Haley’s heart dropped as she yanked Alex around so she could look at (Y/n) and Leah again. They weren’t kissing, nor did it look like they had been. They were still clumsily dancing together as they talked.
Haley turned her eyes back on Alex, who dared to wear a smug little smirk on her face that Haley desperately wanted to slap off.
“You do like her, Hales. You haven’t liked anyone in forever! And as your best friend, it’s my job to help you shoot your shot. Come on, let’s dance over and see if we can’t get you to cut in.”
“No, Alex,” Haley pulled him back, a touch of fear in her voice “I, I can’t. Not after what I said. She must think I’m such a bitch.”
“What are you talking about?”
“She already asked me to dance, Alex,” Haley groaned angrily at herself, “and do you know what I said? I said, ‘ew, no’.”
“No.” Alex sucked in air through clenched teeth.
“Yeah, try coming back from that. She’ll never talk to me again.”
“You could tell her you’re sorry. Say you got so nervous you insulted her. That might help.”
“Oh sure.” Haley scoffed.
“It would be better than doing nothing!” Alex whined. “Haley, before (Y/n), I was basically the only person you ever talked to. You really stepped up this year and I’d hate to see you close yourself off again.”
(Y/n) and Leah seemed to have grown tired of dancing and went to join the sidelines once more and Haley looked to the grass at her feet. She wanted to say to hell with it. People come and go all the time, just look at her parents and their never ending trips. However, she couldn’t bring herself to slip away from (Y/n). She didn’t want (Y/n) to slip away from her either.
“What do I do, Alex? She’s not going to want to talk to me after this.”
“We’ll think of something,” Alex promised, giving Haley one last twirl, “We’ll think of something.”
***
“H-hello?” (Y/n) called out as she entered the Secret Woods.
She had received a letter in the mail that morning, urging her to arrive at her earliest convenience. She had half a mind to suspect it was the bear again, although the only thing she had been instructed to bring was herself, not syrup.
As she wandered further into the clearing, she faintly heard music playing and decided to follow it. She stopped in her tracks when she saw Haley flattening a table cloth over a large tree stump. The sting of yesterday was still very fresh in her mind. Surely Haley didn’t send her that letter… she took a step back, but her foot snapped a twig, causing Haley’s head to snap up.
Haley quickly finished what she was doing, hands moving clumsily from nervousness. She dried her sweaty palms on the back of her skirt and then took a deep breath as she approached (Y/n).
“Hey,” Haley said, her smile looking a bit too pained to be sincere. Much like the polite smile (Y/n) was trying to hold.
“Ah, sorry Haley. I didn’t know—“
“I want you here,” Haley spoke quickly, “I wrote the letter.”
“You did? Why?” (Y/n) asked, her body language defensive. After yesterday, she wasn’t too keen on listening to whatever Haley had to say. She didn’t think she knew Haley as well as she thought she did.
“Because I wanted to apologize for yesterday. I- I was totally out of line. I’m really, really sorry.”
“But why did you say that at all? Haley, that really hurt me.” (Y/n) crossed her arms over her chest.
“I know, I regretted it as soon as I said it. I was just scared I guess. I didn’t expect you to ask me to dance and I know that’s a dumb excuse, but I swear I didn’t mean it.”
“What were you scared for?” (Y/n) asked softly, eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
“Because I,” Haley took in a shaky breath, “I like you a lot.”
“You were scared to accept my invitation to dance because you like me?” (Y/n) tested the words on her tongue, finding them just as confusing as when Haley had said them.
“Yeah, well, when you repeat it back like that it sounds dumb,” Haley blushed, “but, ugh! You know me. I’m not easy to get along with. I also don’t like being vulnerable so this whole thing is killing me now, but, I also like you too much to not try to apologize so,” Haley tentatively held her hand out to the bewildered farmer, “will you please let me have this dance in an attempt to redeem myself?”
(Y/n) studied the offered hand for a moment, making Haley so nervous she stopped breathing, but then (Y/n) gave her a small smile and took Haley’s hand.
“Okay.”
Haley inhaled deeply, feeling a weight come off her shoulders. She hurriedly put her free hand around (Y/n)’s waist and took the lead. Her skin tingled when (Y/n)’s hand came to rest on her shoulder.
“Thank you.” Haley breathed a sigh of relief.
“You know, you really surprised me yesterday,” (Y/n) began, making Haley wince, “I know you can be a little grouchy, even mean sometimes,” Haley wished the ground would swallow her whole,
“but the more we got to know each other, the more I got to see who you are trying to protect, the person who are underneath the prickliness. Granted, the prickliness is just as much a part of you, but I think it’s cute when you’re a little snarky,” Haley bit the inside of her cheek. She felt like she should be insulted, but (Y/n) finding something about her cute was making her blush,
“I was hurt when you turned me down like that yesterday, but I was also worried that would be the end of our friendship.”
“Why would you worry about that? If the shoe had been on the other foot, I would have said good riddance.” Haley asked, mentally kicking herself for possibly giving (Y/n) the idea to back away now.
“Yeah, I kinda did feel that way at first,” (Y/n) admitted, “but when Leah helped me cool down, I at least wanted to know why you reacted the way you did. I’m glad you reached out to me before I did, because I honestly had no idea how to approach the subject.” (Y/n) said with a sheepish grin.
“What, are you afraid of me or something, Miss spends-all-winter-in-the-mines?” Haley Scoffed.
“Oh definitely.”
“Really?”
“You are scarier than you give yourself credit for.”
Haley tried not to laugh, but she couldn’t help it. She lowered her head to rest against (Y/n)’s shoulder and giggled, making (Y/n) laugh as well.
They swayed through a couple more songs before Haley pulled back and asked (Y/n) if she was hungry before motioning back to the the covered tree stump. They ate and talked together while listening to the portable radio Haley had brought along. When there was a lull, Haley asked,
“Hey, it’s not exactly the Flower Dance, but there’s always a dance floor at the summer Luau… be my dance partner?”
(Y/n) perked up, giving Haley another smile that gave her butterflies, “I’d like that.”
“Awesome.”
Maybe by summer she’d work up the courage to ask (Y/n) if she wanted to be her girlfriend, but this was perfect for now. Alex was going to need to help her with a plan, but when (Y/n) reached across the stump the tuck a bit of Haley’s hair behind her ear, she was feeling a little better about her chances.

When people say "what's your favorite video game genre" I always assume they want a regular answer so I just say metroidvania because I love metroidvanias but my real favorite is "even the most insignificant characters have their own individual lives and this game makes sure you know that one way or another"
Edit hi it's present me. This post's tags need updating but I don't want to update the tags do I do it or no

Stick Together | Shane x depressed!Reader Oneshot
TW: Mentions of depression, suicide (it is our angsty boi we talking about), reader smokes
You've always felt like a rock floating through empty space. Despite being surrounded by people and welcomed into a caring community, you've never felt more alien and alone.
Everyone else had dreams, desires, hobbies, people to go home to, a purpose in life. Something to live for. What did you have? Nothing except misery, exhaustion, and pain. They were like comets that occasionally collided with you on their path to some faraway planet, meanwhile, you are left there falling deeper and deeper into a bottomless void.
Each day felt like dragging your feet through quicksand. With each step you took, you only sunk deeper into the pit of depression. There was a perpetual emptiness in your chest. You hated that you were drained of everything--your energy, your motivation, your happiness. Even getting up each morning has become such a chore that there are days you wish you could just rot away into the Earth.
To others, your statements seemed ludicrous. Why can't you just stop being lazy and do something? Don't we all feel sad some days? Why can't you just be happy?
You gave up on explaining. Gave up on trying to be heard. Gave up on the hope that someone someday would understand how you feel.
You built up walls around yourself. You hid your pain behind a beaming smile and outgoing personality. Despite being polar opposites on the outside, you felt like you were looking into a mirror the moment you saw Shane. You recognized the facade: his cold exterior and dismissive attitude, his blunt responses, his drinking habits, his messy appearance, and his avoidance of talking to others were all ways to shut people out. This was his defense mechanism, a wall he put up to hide his true emotions. You could sense the hurt and vulnerable man underneath his hardened expression and narrowed gaze--a feeling you understood all too well yourself.
It's funny how birds of a feather flock together. Over time, an unspoken mutual understanding formed between the two of you.
On the docks late at night, there was Shane, drowning his sorrows through piles of emptied beer cans, and you, with smoke in your breath and cigarette butts littered at your feet. Few words were exchanged, with the exception of an occasional remark or two about how life sucked, followed by a nod in agreement. Neither of you felt the need to make conversation when each other's silent company spoke more than enough. Through these late nights, a shared sentiment lingered in the air: Let's keep trying tomorrow.
Your relationship with Shane might seem strange to an onlooker, but in your own special ways, the two of you were always there for each other.
When you heard that Shane was missing, you desperately searched for him in the pouring rain, chest tightening at the thought of what Shane might have done. Your heart shattered when you found him collapsed on the ground near the cliff, his tears mixing with the rainwater. You wordlessly kneeled down on the muddy ground, holding him in your arms as you both sobbed, releasing all the agony you had kept inside for so long. It hit you like a truck when he asked why he should even go on, as that was a question you had been asking yourself all these years. You couldn't pledge that things would get better, only that you would be there to support him through whatever he was struggling with.
When Shane showed up at your door the next day after recovering in the hospital, you had thrown your arms around him, and he returned the gesture. That day, a silent vow was exchanged: No matter how bad life got, you always had each other.
Shane did end up returning the favor a few months later. The waters had tempted you with the promise of eternal sleep, freed from all the burdens and pain in your life. Before you could sink into the bottomless abyss, strong arms pulled you up to the surface. You noticed Shane's heaving breaths, his thumping heart, and his glossy eyes as he pulled you into a tight embrace. That day, there was a mutual realization that you needed one another, and needed to change for the better because of that.
It's ironic how two people without a reason to live became each other's reason.
Both of your lives changed dramatically in the following months. You joined Shane in his therapy sessions. You both agreed to help one another cut back on your unhealthy coping mechanisms. You had bought sparkling water and Joja Cola in bulk so that whenever Shane was tempted to pour himself a cold one, you replaced it with a non-alcoholic beverage. Meanwhile, when you found yourself itching for a smoke, Shane would take away your cigarette and pop a lollipop into your mouth. As a plus, your kisses also tasted a lot sweeter when there was no longer the stink of cigarettes in your mouth.
You had both grown to be much happier. Shane found his calling raising chickens, which was something you found quite cute. On the other hand, you had found fulfillment working on your farm and even began to enjoy your old hobbies again.
Neither of you was perfect by any means. There were still days when you felt like you were sinking in quicksand, sometimes only down to the ankles and other times all the way up to your neck. Except, now you were no longer traversing through it alone. With Shane by your side, you were confident that he be there to pull you up as would you for him. Together, you would keep pushing forward in hopes for a better tomorrow.

Tumblr media
.
for those of us out there still looking for our homes <3
.
.
and for those of us who have found it: welcome home.
Sometimes home became too much.
Was it even truly home if that was the case?
Where he was going now felt more like home.
The basement had become too stuffy for him. It didn’t help hearing footsteps above him, nor had coming upstairs and seeing Demetrius.
Perhaps, after meeting her, he was no longer content with staying in the dark. To stay trapped and confined. Quiet. Walking on eggshells and memorizing schedules so that he’d be able to leave the basement with no one around.
That was fine, though. Now he was going home. To somewhere safe.
Even the walk there made him feel better, he could breathe again, unlike in the basement where he felt that he was suffocating.
Sure, it was past midnight and a little cold, but he couldn’t complain. He was thankful she lived close, and he looked forward to the warmth of her home.
It was both a physical and an intangible warmth that she carried with herself even outside of her home. Her arms felt welcome and safe, he’d never felt judged or uncomfortable there.
Now he was at her doorstep, all he had to do was knock. Perhaps it was rude of him to show up so late. She was always working hard, especially recently with her plans to restore the Community Center that she had told only him about.
Here his mind went, racing and doubling back over itself. He stood paralyzed at the door, fist relaxing and clenching again.
Suddenly the door swung open and he was momentarily blinded by warm, soft lighting.
Had he already knocked without realizing it? Maybe he’d just been waiting this whole time.
“Sebastian!” Arms wrapped around his neck, he hadn’t even made it inside yet but her warmth erased any presence of the frigid air. He felt a warmth spread from his heart to the rest of his body, further calming him down on the inside as well.
“Come inside, it’s cold,” she pulled him inside by the arms, closing the door softly behind him. “I thought I heard someone on the deck, I should really just give you a key at this point, I’m so happy to see you,” she smiled, still holding onto his arms as she faced him.
He was still a little shocked, perhaps by the quick change of events. How one person could make such a difference in his life, he could never understand. Already, the world seemed brighter and better from just a few actions. “You would trust me with a key to your house?”
“Certainly I would, my love,” she brushed a stray hair from his face. “You’re welcome here whenever you’d like. Even if I’m not home or sleeping, my door is always open for you. You’re lucky tonight, I just got home from the desert and couldn’t quite sleep yet. I’ve just been on the couch reading a book.”
“Can…Can I stay with you tonight?” he mumbled, melting into her touch.
Her face narrowed with concern; again, such a simple gesture that was so rare it made him want to wrap his arms around her and whisper ‘thank you’ and ‘I love you’ over and over.
“Of course. Is everything all right? Do you wanna talk about it?” When he shook his head she cupped his face, giving him a quick kiss. “That’s alright, Love. Go ahead and sit down, do you want coffee? Tea?”
“Tea, please.” He responded, making his way to her couch. She followed behind quickly after with two steaming mugs, a tea bag hanging out of each one.
She laid down on the couch and he was quick to collapse onto her, his head resting on her middle, arms wrapped around her waist, and the rest of his body laid between her legs.
She ran a hand through his hair, humming softly as she picked up her book with her other hand.
Everything felt perfect in such a peaceful moment. Gone were any feelings of frustration or discomfort that had built up in one day. All was forgotten in her warmth.
Perhaps home wasn’t even a place, but a person; he could be happy anywhere as long as she was with him.
When he needed help and was craving home, he didn’t need a place, he needed her.
He was home.

Let’s Play a Game (Sebastian x GN!Reader)
Rating: Teen+
Summary: Sebastian has a strange proposition for you.
Author’s Note: Inspired by this comic! This is my first fic to be released publicly and I speedran it at like 5am when inspiration struck. It’s super corny, but I hope y’all like it anyway!
Edit: Found the comic’s source, finally! Martin Rosner, or @/HotPaperComics on Twitter :)
Check it out on ao3!
“Let’s play a game.”
You cock a brow, choking back a strong sip of your drink, fresh off the bar counter. Jeez, that blue-haired chick spiked the crap out of this thing.
“What kind of game?”
Your acquaintance, Sebastian, is sporting the most dastardly possible grin.
He’s the son of your neighborhood carpenter, and just about the only human you’ve had contact with under the age of 40 since moving away from the city. A charming fella, if you find edgy, nerdy stoners to be charming… Unfortunately, you do.
And after you somehow got lucky enough for him to invite you out, and couldn’t resist saying “yes” to his obnoxiously pretty face. You hadn’t checked your luck today, but you can only assume that the spirits have been doing Yoba’s work.
Narrowing his eyes, he answers your question. “Chicken.”
Chicken? Memories of your childhood friends flood your mind. Stacking atop each other’s shoulders on a hot summer’s day, pool noodles in hand. Sunscreen and sweat and heavily chlorinated water making your grips slippery. Not a worry in the world, other than whether or not you would be the first to fall into the water below you…
“Like, the pool game?”
He laughs, “Not quite.” He sips his own beverage — the same thing as yours — unfazed by its strength. Show-off. “Let’s spend some quality time together.” Oh? “We’ll help each other with errands, do some cooking together, go on some adventures in the mines or whatever…”
“So,” the gears turn in your brain as you cut him off, “you just want to… hang out? How is that—”
He silences you with a raised finger, cutting you back off with his words. “First one to fall in love loses.”
“…What? ”
“You’re new, so you’re basically friendless, yeah?”
“Ouch,” you wince, although you can’t help the light laugher that escapes you. He isn’t wrong.  You just got here, what, a week ago? “Yeah, I guess.”
“Are you single?” He endearingly wiggles his eyebrows, to which you roll your eyes.
“Yeah…” you grumble into your drink before bravely downing half the glass.
“Then it’s settled.”
“But still, how is this a game?”
“Don’t worry about it.”
_______________
You knew you were at a disadvantage when starting this stupid little “game” with Sebastian, but you had no idea how hard it would be. Of course he’s cute, so there’s no avoiding a crush on the guy. You knew that. But after spending so much time with him over just a few days, you’re hopelessly into him.
But you’ll be damned if you tell him that.
Sure, it’s probably cheating, but you have too much pride to just openly admit defeat so easily. And besides, who’s to say it’s love yet? Not you, you sly bastard.
One night at the beach, watching the stars and waves together, you ask for clarification. “What is love?”
He avoids the question, only singing the lyrics “Baby don’t hurt me, no more," in response.
Another day, while he’s helping you forage in Cindersnap, he cheekily asks, “Have you ever wanted to kiss me?“
Of course you have. But instead of answering, you sing, “K-k-kiss me, infect me with your love and…” etcetera.
It’s become a trend. Part of the game, if you will. Whenever either of you openly questions the other’s feelings, the rules of the game, whatever, the other person pulls a song outta their ass, turning the situation into an impromptu karaoke. It’s fun, but it’s only making things harder in the end.
The charade goes on for weeks. Neither of you have had the balls to call it quits, and you’re both feeling the consequences of this long-fought battle.
________________
“C’mere,” Sebastian mumbles from the other side of your couch.
You scoot over just a little, not daring to cuddle up. The two of you have only made light contact thus far, and you know you’ll probably come out as a big dirty cheater who lost the game forever ago, if you were to do so much as hold hands with the guy.
He whines, “More.” He reaches his arm out, signaling you to tuck yourself into his side. “I don’t bite hard, I promise.”
You glare at him. “I’m good.”
“You’re shivering, actually.” Ugh. He’s right. The central heating in your cabin hasn’t been installed yet, leaving the fireplace in the kitchen as your only source of warmth.
“Fine, whatever.” you snuggle into his arms, balling up your blanket over your cheeks to hide the fierce blush coating them.
As Sebastian searches through your movie options on Netflix, you’re able to slowly settle into his touch… although, the more you cozy up to him, the faster you can hear his nearby heart racing.
Maybe you fell for him first, but this is definitely the heart rate of someone who’s just as into you as you’re into them. Holy shit.
You giggle.
“Hmm?” he hums questioningly.
“Is your resting heart rate always this fast?”
No answer.
Your eyes widen at his silence. You peer up to see his own eyes wide as well.
“Oh my god,” you lean up, leveling with him.
He closes his eyes, “God damnit.”
“Oh my GOD.” Beaming, you cup his cheeks in your hands. His eyes are still shut but his face is getting warm. “I won.”
No answer.
“I fucking won!”
Still no answer. His eyes slowly open, staring back at yours. As soon as he sees your goofy smile, he mirrors it.
Not knowing what else there is to do at a time like this, you kiss him. He kisses back, and it’s as magical as you’d imagined it to be. His lips are soft, his kissing style as rough around the edges as he is. It doesn’t take long for tongues to get involved.
But it also doesn’t take long for him to crack the code:
With a light grunt and his eyebrows furrowed, he pulls away. “Wait, but if you’re this eager to…” he thinks aloud. You can almost see the lightbulb go on. Oops. “You didn’t win, did you?”

how does Alex cope with finding/taking care of his injured so? like after a mining trip gone bad or something (/reader if possible, I hope you're day is going well!)
ALEXALEXALEXALEX lowkey I have never written for him soooo I did a little bit of research and hopefully it isn't too ooc. My headcanons for this man are STRONG DAMN
---
ok so FIRST I feel like Alex actually wouldn't be the one to find you if the injury was mining accident
He doesn't really go in that area yknow? Plus I bet he thinks "yeah. They'll be fine. :)"
Let's just say he DOES find you knocked out in the mines I would say he is gonna have one of two reactions:
1. Manly! Brave! No worries I will save you!
Alex finds you on floor 119, passed out but not visibly injured. He tries to wake you gently but then he ends up scooping you up into his arms and carrying you out.
He will take you back to your place where he will wash your body of any dirt (and bandage any injuries), and then let you rest. He will be there when you wake up. :)
or
2. PANIC!!!
Alex has no idea what the fuck he should do. He isn't dumb as bricks but his brain isn't able to process what is happening fast enough in order to do something about it. He will probably take you straight to Harvey because he knows that Harvey can help.
Again, he will stay with you until you will wake up. But, he will probably feel really stupid for not being able to help you more. Poor boy might be in a bit of shock, even if you aren't badly injured he will still compare the situation to his mother's death.
Extra angst if it was a near-death situation! But lets save that for another time...
Now Alex is in charge of supporting you through recovery yay
If the injuries you suffered were pretty serious I'd say Alex isn't thrilled with having to drop everything and help you
BUT he loves you so of course he will help you in any way he can
If the injuries aren't awful but you still need help trust me he will help, but he will also take the time he needs for himself too
Kinda like a half on half off schedule
"Hey babe! I'm gonna go for a run. Do you need me to get you anything before I leave or need something picked up while I'm out?"
"When you're better we can start going on some walks to get your energy back up! Whenever you're ready."
Alex might get slightly anxious about you getting better quickly so that life can go back to how it usually is
I feel like Alex doesn't adapt well to change? So if your guy's routine is thrown off because of your injury he is anxious to get it back to normal
Not because he doesn't like taking care of you, but more like because he feels calm when he knows what to expect in life
On another note I feel like Alex would give some pretty bomb massages during your recovery
If you are confined to a bed or limited movement he will do his best to help you get in healthy stretches
Physical health trainer vibes B)
Right after one of your first showers since the accident Alex comfortably lays you on your stomach to give you a light back massage. :> Or elsewhere depending on where you're hurt and what is sore.
He'd also make sure to keep you nice and stretched so you don't get too stiff from being still all day.
If you don't want stretches that is okay too! He just wants to make sure the rest of you is all healthy besides the injured part
In conclusion: he will take good care of ya :)

Sam teaching you guitar!
A/N: I've finally gotten around to writing this. Hopefully it's good enough. I do not know how to play guitar so…be warned. Also no offense to anyone who enjoys Wonderwall!!! I just would not enjoy learning the song lmao. From this ask! Song!
TW: cursing? Playful bullying?
WC:0.6k
"Sam, I swear if you make me look stupid, I'll beat you up."
The blonde laughs at your words, the situation was supposed to be cute but after seeing what you learned yourself it was more comical than anything else.
"I won't! I promise! You'll be playing Wonderwall like a pro when I'm done."
"Wonderwall? I asked to learn to play something cute or cool, that way when someone asks me if I have any talent I can say 'yeah the guitar' and pull out my guitar and impress everyone. Not 'yeah i can play Wonderwall' what the fuck?"
"What? Wonderwall's cool!"
You look at him as if he's crazy. If you hadn't already planned all of your day around learning guitar from him you would've walked out, but since you're already here you might as well learn something. So, with all the annoyance you can muster, you allow him to play the song for you so you know what you're learning.
"Okay down, up, down-"
You growl under your breath in annoyance, you had been trying to learn the stupid first verse for an hour now, it had gotten to the point where Sam decided that you should skip to the chorus because no one really cares about the verses anyways when someone is playing the guitar.
The only bright side was that Sam seemed excited to be teaching you, his radiant smile and his voice had admittedly made you want to fall in love with him, even if he was singing a basic song. The way he threw his head back as soon as he got into the music made your mood lighten up during some points, so the entire learning wasn't a bust.
After another 2 hours you had gotten the chorus down well enough that anyone would be able to tell what you were playing. It wasn't good persay, but they would be able to tell. You just hoped that Sam would be with you to keep the vibes up, he would be able to distract from your bad playing.
The two of you go over the chorus once more, Sam was smiling so brightly at you, that you think that you made his week. No one really cared about his music, at least not enough to spend 4 hours in a room with him going over the same couple of chords over and over again. Seb and Abby had their own things, the band was just their side gig, for Sam it was his life.
"There are many things that I would like to say to you, but I don't know how~"
You quirk up your eyebrow at him, amused with how passionate he was being even if your playing was trash. He just grins as he continues to sing.
"Because maybe, you're gonna be the one that saves me. And after all, you're my wonderwall~"
You huff out a breath as soon as you finish the chorus, the tension was too much, at least to you in this moment. To relieve yourself you let out a chuckle that you hope is natural. "What's a wonderwall?"
He shrugs, putting the guitar he was holding away, eyes shining as he stares at you. "So…"
Your breath hitches as your mind races with what he's going to say next. You know if he asks for a relationship, you would agree in this moment, even if you would end up regretting it later on. "Yeah?"
"You think you wanna join the band now?"
You groan and deflate in half relief, half disappointment. Your friendship remains unchanged, for now.
"Absolutely not."

the chill zone || sam x scared!farmer oneshot
only an idiot would fish in thunderstorms when you're afraid of them. apparently you're an idiot. sam has to take you into the chill zone.
warnings: fluffy, friends-to-lovers arc, thunderstorms
requested by: me >:)
Tumblr media
Sam jumped out of his bed when he heard a knock at the door. His mom was out of town on a girl's day, and his father had taken Vincent to the city for the day. Sam opted out, wanting to stay home and write for his band, but he ended up just laying in bed all day. Until a very frantic knock rang out across the house.
Opening the door, he saw you, freezing and shaking. Was it from the cold or fear? It didn't matter, he needed to get you inside before you froze to death or fainted.
“I think you might be a little wet,” he laughed, leaning against the doorway, trying to be a little bit snarky before seeing your expression. He's never seen that look on your face. “Hey, come in. Don't want you dyin' out there or anything.”
“Th-Thanks ... I'm not really good with thunder and stuff ... I thought it was just gonna be raining today, but I was proven wrong apparently.” you laughed nervously, stepping onto the mat.
You two stared at each other before Sam remembered that he should probably be helping you. “Towel! Towel, yeah, let me go get that- you don't have a change of clothes on you, do you? Wait- why would you, that's stupid, that would be wet too- do you want one of my shirts?”
All you could do was nod as you leaned against the doorway, flinching at a small crack of thunder.
He ran throughout the house like a mad man on a mission, grabbing two towels, one of his shirts, and some basketball shorts you could tie up to your liking. He handed them to you, before noticing how your hands were shaking. “Will you be good to get to the bathroom?” he said, his voice beginning to soften a little as he realized how bad of a state you were in.
You shook your head. “I'll be okay, I-I promise,” you smiled weakly as you slowly made your way over to the bathroom. He quickly rushed to his bedroom to clean up a little bit while you were changing, not wanting to look like a total slob. His mom would be very impressed.
As you stood in the doorway, Sam looked back at you with a soft smile. “You made it out alive, I see.”
“Yeah ... when do you think the thunder will clear up?” you said, a frown beginning to form against your lips.
“Overnight, I think ... hey, I've got an idea!” Sam said with a determined grin, looking around his room before finding a decently quality speaker. He connected it to his phone before turning it all the way up. “What kind of music do you listen to?”
“Uhm ... I don't really care, I'll listen to whatever,” you said, walking over to him and peering over his shoulder.
He looked through his music before settling on something that might calm you down just a tad bit. Switching on some lofi music, he sat down on the edge of his bed before offering you two blankets. “Here, relax. Let all those worries away, you're not allowed to be upset in the chill zone,” Sam said, referring to his room.
You laid back against the wall, curled up in the mountain of blankets engulfing you. “... Thank you, I really appreciate it,” you said, having to speak in a louder voice so that he could hear you. That speak was doing a pretty good job.
“Don't sweat it, we all need help sometimes,” he said with a gentle smile, placing a hand on your shoulder. He slowly took his hand off before leaning back against the wall beside you. He closed his eyes as he listened to the soft beats of the music, perfectly covering the dangerous sounds of thunder outside. It was truly the chill zone.
You closed your eyes soon after he did, your head slipping from the wall to his shoulder soon enough. Neither of you knew, you were asleep at this point. Nothing could bother you two, it was a moment of mutual bliss. Everything was okay, all of your fears were put to rest.

I desperately need the "Why dont you go marry them if you like them that much?" "...Are you jealous?" "Am not." prompt with Sebastian😫😫
I made myself laugh with this one
Amelia and Shane were hard at work all morning getting the coop ready to house chickens. Well, Shane was doing most of the work and explaining every detail to her. Everything from feed to love made its way into the discussion. She hadn't realized how passionate Shane was about the things he enjoys; in this case, chickens. She asked questions along the way, wanting to be a good chicken mom.
Despite her best efforts, her mind wandered to later that afternoon when she was going to hang out with Sam and Sebastian. She had been growing increasingly excited to do so, having developed a bit of a crush on Sebastian after she ran into him in the rain one day. They shared a heart-to-heart and it changed so much about her view of him. She'd always thought he was attractive, sure, but he was also grumpy and tried a little too hard to be cool despite being around friends who were most times definitely not cool.
Since the talk though, she understood. He wanted to be sure that he fits in and that there was no room to be rejected. He often felt as if that were the case in his family, which broke Amelia’s heart. She assured him that it would be something he'd never have to worry about with her, so if he needed to just… Let the facade down and nerd out or just vent, the farmhouse was always open. He had come over fairly often too, pacing on her porch in frustration with Demetrius and how his mother couldn't stand up for him when she knew that's what he needed. He’d get overly excited and need to talk about a new book in Cave Saga X (which he was happy to find out she liked too), and sometimes he'd have horrible customers. The most recent time he came over, it was a customer who screamed at him and was genuinely hostile over the color of the font on her website. She was paying well and he had to drop her.
She took a chance and hugged him that night. She thought he might have never let go, just relishing in the fact that someone cared enough to try.
Oddly, though, he left as soon as the hug ended. She assumes it's because he felt emotional or that he felt like he let his guard too far down, but she didn't know. She just knew that her heart had started to swell for this man. But she'd get over it.
“Earth to Amelia?” Shane called, a handful of hay in his hand as he waved it.
“Shit, sorry, Shane,” she gave him a genuine apologetic smile, “just a little distracted, I guess. What were you saying?”
He explained his point once more before they worked, finishing the preparations in the next hour. He agreed to bring two chicks in the morning and went home, a small pouch of peppers in hand.
She made her way up to the house, taking in the vastness of her farm and how far it's come. As she turned her attention back to the cabin, her eyebrows shot up in surprise. Sam and Sebastian sat on her porch, Sam in a chair and Sebastian laying in the small, chair-like hammock. He looked so comfortable she was almost jealous.
“Oh, hello, boys,” she called, chuckling as Sam jumped up and leaned on the railing, waving excitedly.
“Ameliaaaaaaa,” he called back, pouting, “I know it's supposed to be later, but we're bored out of our minds.”
“I pretty much live in a state of boredom,” Sebastian chimed in, just loud enough for Amelia to hear. She was suddenly hyper-aware of how dirty and sweaty she was. She gave them both a small wave as she leaned on the banister as Sebastian finished, blowing smoke he had inhaled through his cigarette, “so Sam was bored.”
Sam threw a gardening glove at Sebastian, laughing as it drew out a surprised scoff as it smacked him in the chest. It left a large dust mark that he tried to brush away, “so not cool,” he mumbled.
She shook her head and opened her door, gesturing inside, “you guys are welcome in. You know Loaf missed you,” she looked at Sam, who had become a fast friend with her corgi, Loaf, “and I actually made some sashimi to bring for you later if you're hungry, Seb.”
Sam had run inside, and the excited barks from Loaf blended with Sam’s praises. Sebastian stood out of the hammock, struggling as everyone does, though he smiled at her, “sashimi, huh? That's one of my favorites, how did you know?”
“I'm just good like that,” she teased, following him inside and going to her mining bag by the door, fishing out a frozen tear and offering it to him, “just like I know you love these.”
She smirked as he took it, his touch delicate as he looked over the cool stone before looking down at her, surprised, “I do. Thank you. Really.”
She smiled and nodded before turning toward the restroom, pulling her curly (and very tangled) hair down from her bun.
“Make yourselves at home, alright? I am covered in dirt and smell like hay, so I need to shower. She backed into the bathroom, pointing at all of them, “it better not be a wreck when I come out of here.”
Sebastian smirked and walked over to the couch, contemplating getting the sashimi, but wanting to share with Amelia. The fish isn't easy to come by or filet… And he appreciated her. Sam took Loaf outside to run around (and not be destructive), while Sebastian lay on her couch, tossing this weird, sticky ball thing that Amelia ordered as a joke to throw at his ceiling, hoping they'd fall randomly on him in the day or even when he was sleeping. He cursed the high ceiling in his room.
The little things were fun though. You just throw them up, they stick, then they fall. Easy, mind-numbing things to get lost in thought.
He’d been over here tons of times now, bitching and moaning about everything that brought him down, whether it be a particularly shitty customer or Demetrius. She was always there to listen and, often, in the middle of the night.
The last time he was here was when she hugged him. He hadn't been hugged like that for as long as he could remember. Abby and Sam would throw their arms around him for photos or as thanks for a gift. But Amelia held him. She wrapped her arms tightly around him, her head on his shoulder, and just held him there.
And he didn't want to let go once he wrapped his arms around her and rest her head on hers. She smelled mainly of lavender and honey, mixed with the scent of the hay she had begun to lay.
It calmed him immediately and he was sure she felt his heart racing. Until he realized the situation he was in and fled. He thanked her and went home, his breathing ragged as he panicked on the mountain path.
He really, really liked her.
He continued trying to distract himself from those ideas with the ball, Sam coming back in just as Amelia came out of the bathroom, fresh in pajamas as she towel dried her hair.
Just don't look at her. Don't think about her. Be cool.
She came out and plopped onto the armchair across from the couch, legs tucked under her and raising an eyebrow at Sam, “and where is my dog?”
Sam raised his hands in defense, “he's on the porch in his bed. Safe and tired.”
Amelia laughed, looking over at Sebastian before rolling her eyes, you kept those silly things?”
He continued starting up, refusing to be caught off guard by one, “of course. It's easy, repetitive, and mind-numbing enough to distract from any real issues.”
She flinched at that, concerned it meant he was mad about the hug… But he held on so tightly.
“So, Amelia, you've hung out with Shane for like three days!” Sam (sort of) chimed in, moving away from that conversation to another, less tense one. Sebastian scowled, glad no one could really see his face as Sam continued, “something going on that you're not telling us?”
Amelia was taken aback by the question as the soft thumps of the ball hitting the ceiling grew a little louder. Sebastian wasn't trying to throw it harder, but here he was.
“No, Sam,” she laughed, more awkward than convincing, “he's super nice once you get to know him! He's helping me get ready for the baby chicks to come tomorrow morning.”
The noise grew louder, no one noticing as Sebastian spoke, his tone colder than he meant for it to be, “so once you get past him telling you to fuck off, you just buy him pizza and beer until he's nice to you?”
She stared over at him, Sam's eyes shooting to him as well, shocked. Amelia couldn't help but smirk, grasping onto her suspicion, “well, yeah, he was kind of a dick at first, but he's getting it together! Quitting drinking, taking care of all of the chickens. He's really good with Jas–”
“Why don't you go marry him if you like him so much?” he murmured as he threw the ball up once more, though it seemed to stick a little more than he meant for it to.
“Seb, dude…” Sam started, thinking the same as Amelia. She held her hand out to stop him as she shifted to face Sebastian.
“...... Are you jealous?” she asked, her trembling voice masked only by a bit of a teasing tone.
Sebastian sat up, his hand supporting himself as he shifted his position to face her, his expression a mix of panic and forced confusion.
“What?” he looked over at Sam for a moment who had an incredulous look on his face. Immediately, he turned back to look at Amelia. He couldn't hide the crimson in his cheeks, his voice a normal tone despite his demeanor, “jealous? Why would I be jeal– ah, fuck!”
With a small smack sound, the ball finally released from the ceiling, landing on the top of Sebastian's head. Oddly, he was thankful. His hand moved to touch the spot, chucking the ball at Sam as he absolutely lost his mind in laughter, nearly falling over. Even Amelia’s hands held her side in laughter as she managed, “oh shit– worth every fucking penny.”
After a few seconds, even Sebastian had to laugh at himself.
The three of them hung out for a few hours before the two men stood to leave. Sam’s arms flung around Amelia in a bear hug, “Goooooooodniiiiiiight!”
She yelped, but ultimately laughed as he set her down.
Sebastian gave his signature smile and wave, not quite meeting her eyes as they headed for the door.
“Hey, Seb,” she called after him, Sam stopping outside of the door, “I want to ask you something if you can stay for a minute?”
She was suddenly nervous as all hell, watching as he turned to look at Sam, who smiled and gave a shrug, “I know how to get home. Text me, dude,” he pointed at Sebastian, waving bye to Amelia, “you too, Amelia!”
They both gave their goodbyes before Sebastian stepped back in, shoving his hands in his pockets as she started, her voice too soft, “are you hungry?”
He blinked, looking over her face as she bit her bottom lip, a nervous habit.
“Uh, I guess a little?” his brows furrowed as he walked to the kitchen island, leaning on the outside while she went to the fridge, pulling out the sashimi and offering a smile.
“It's fresh from this morning… I don't want it to go to waste,” she placed the small plate before him, a set of bamboo chopsticks resting on the side. He leaned on the counter across from him
Despite himself, he smiled, picking up the chopsticks, “you really went all out, huh?” he tapped the little metal cup of soy sauce in the middle of the plate. She felt her cheeks go warm.
“I want to make sure I can do the dish justice! And given your expertise…”
He laughed, eating the first bite, his hand over his mouth while he chewed.
Dear Yoba.
He closed his eyes for a moment and let out a noise not too far off from a moan, her cheeks growing even warmer as he opened his eyes and nodded, “Ames, this is fucking incredible.”
She laughed shaking her head and rolling her eyes, “okay, I'm glad you like it but there's no way it could be incredible,” her voice tapered at the end as he pointedly picked up a piece and held it over the soy sauce.
“With or without?”
“Seb, I made it for–”
“With or without?” he asked, his voice more firm. She couldn't protest if she wanted to.
“I uh… However you eat it?”
He chuckled and dipped it in just enough to add flavor before holding the chopsticks, hand cupped underneath to prevent dripping soy sauce. She went to reach for it, but he pulled it away, shaking his head, “not with your fingers, dingus,” he teased before holding it back out, “I'm not gonna stab you or anything, I promise.”
She laughed and rolled her eyes before leaning in and eating the roll, chewing slowly as he studied her face for a reaction. He gave her an expectant look as she finished chewing. She paused for a long moment, her heart choosing her next words without consulting her mind.
“I'm not into Shane like that.”
His smile faltered as they stared at one another, both of them seeming to hold their breath. He relented after a moment.
“Okay…” he didn't know what to say. He wanted to not care, but he found himself relieved.
She bit down on her lip, her heart sinking as she thought she misread him earlier, ”just… Letting you know.”
“I'm glad,” he nearly choked on the next bite, “wait, not glad you don't like him, glad that you told me?” he managed, finally bringing a small smile back to her lips.
She reached out and took his chopsticks, eating another piece with an appreciative hum. Though, she did rather like being fed to be fair.
He faked offense before she gave them back. They finished the food like this, not realizing it was growing past 2 am.
Her eyes widened and she stood, frowning.
“Oh Yoba, it's 2 in the morning,” she looked at him, eyes wide, “how are you even going to see to–”
“Ames, I've gone home this late before, I'm okay,” he reassured her with a smile, stepping toward the door. She took a breath, nodding.
“Right. I.. Never paid attention to the time the other night…” her voice quieted as she inadvertently brought it up, “I'm really sorry if I crossed a line, Seb.. I just knew what I'd need and I guess I–”
He reached out to touch her shoulder, effectively quieting her, “don't tell anyone, but it actually was really nice.”
A smile formed as she looked up at him, relieved beyond words. He hummed a quiet, “C’mere,” before using the hand on her shoulder to draw her into another hug. They both held on tight, exhaling the tension in a deep breath.
After a long moment, he spoke, his voice almost inaudible, “I am glad you aren't into Shane.”
She could feel his heartbeat as she was sure he could feel hers. She squeezed a little tighter than before pulling back and looking over his face before leaning up to press a gentle kiss to his cheek.
“I'm glad that you're glad.”
If his face weren't red before, it burned crimson now, his freckles almost completely hidden in his blush. Still, he smiled, backing up before turning toward the door.
“Good night, Ames,” he hummed as she leaned on the door frame to watch him off. She smiled, giving him a small wave as he made his way down, turning around as he made it a few feet past the house, “actually, Ames?”
She arched her eyebrows, stepping out for a moment so she could see him better, “hmm? Everything alright?”
He ran a hand back through his hair, still taking small steps back, “wanna grab dinner with me sometime?”
Her smile grew as she watched him, “are you asking me on a date,” she teased, her inflection like that of before.
“And what if I am?” she could hear the smile in his voice as his steps backward toward the path were as slow as he could make them.
“I'll make us some more sashimi and I'll come to meet you by the lake. When?”
“Tomorrow? Around 4?”
“I'll see you then,” she laughed, calling back as she walked into the house, “now turn around before you bust your ass!”
He laughed, the sound echoing over the farm.

If I don't respond to it for a million years then I probably don't know anything about them, sorry-
Edit: I'm not doing this anymore because the options I did were super limited (I didn't realize at the time) and also I kept getting bombarded- You're free to snatch the bingo thingy though
