There is a criminal lack of humans are space orcs star trek stories. Please i want to see Vulcans being freaked out at the idea of adrenaline, spices, and the weird ability of climbing so fucking easily. I know they've had contact for awhile but imagine a new crew member who's only read about humans and not actually interacted with them. "Why are you heating up the food, it is edible to you now is it not?"
"yeah but this tastes better warm" "... okay?"

I love the bodyguard x person they’re protecting thing a lot but so many fics with it are so intense and I want that type of dynamic in a very,,, non-intense setting but the bodyguard is still treating it as intense
Rn I’m thinking “Human transporting their knitted blanket to a planet that really values handmade goods so they hire a bodyguard just in case and the bodyguard is really intense about making sure the Human is safe while the Human is just enjoying the trip”
I haven’t settled on what type of species the bodyguard should be, made up species? Vulcan? Klingon? Romulan? Ferengi? Dalek?

Cardassians who enjoy repetitive epics would find the overall plot of the Zelda series pretty approachable:
According to my best friend who shot awake in the middle of drifting off to sleep to write this (and gave me permission to post).
"The Legend Of Zelda (as a series) fits a similar plot structure to the Cardassian repetitive epic.
Like the repetitive epic is a form of storytelling in which you see the same core group of people (a family being the most classic example, but I figure any somehow related, by blood or deed or what have you, self-perpetuating group of people counts) fulfilling the same goal over and over again through multiple iterations of their group, usually a selfless act done in service to a greater good (or the state, if you're very patriotically Cardassian about it);
And the core story of the Zelda series? The same three people are locked in perpetual reincarnation, one of them continuously reincarnates as a rare king (his own repetitive epic being the tragedy of a good man wanting to do right by his country and people being twisted by the demon he can never escape, the demon that has had his soul utterly from before he was born, ultimately succumbing to that evil and wreaking havoc upon everybody else in service to it), another reincarnates as various heroes (honestly Link is the least repetitive epic character and the most, in a weird way; very few of his incarnations are actually related by blood, but they're all sharing the same soul at different times and all doing the same thing in different ways, and doing it incredibly selflessly and at great personal cost in service to a greater good), and the last continuously reincarnates as a princess who must use wisdom, cunning, and spiritual might to defend her people, generation upon generation, usually pretty selflessly and/or simply because that's what she feels she must do.
In conclusion, I want to watch Garak play a few Zelda games for the plot and see what he thinks of em."
That's all folks

A cute little lesbian couple of an Andorian and a Cardassian. A sort of Trekkie version of Heat GF X Cold GF. And their cultural backgrounds are so similar, yet still very different. They make it work anyway, because they're gay and in love.
This is an expansion on the idea of my Lesbian Klingons, and make an ongoing series of drawings of Star Trek Lesbians

I have to know, so y’all who like Humans/Other Alien Species from Star Trek instead of Vulcans, what’s the biggest appeal?
Like, as a Vulcan/Human fan, my favorite stuff about it, cause I’ll usually project onto the Human, is like: having a partner who will never yell at me, someone who can understand me (telepathy and mind links), someone who will be forever patient with me, the quiet intimacy, etc etc etc
So for the other species, what’s the biggest plus sides?

Vulcan side blah blah this, Klingon half yadda yadda that.
Enough.
Ligers weigh twice the mass of either of their parents. It's time to give Star Trek hybrids absurd traits that are entirely specific to them.
Deanna knows exactly how your stomach is doing, she can sense when you'll have diarrhea.
Spock can mind meld with any living or conscious thing ever, including things like grass and the fungi in your cheese, thanks to his Human heritage.
B'Elanna has three vaginas.
