Seemed appropriate. It’s also kinda based on what I did in my original KetBine drawing (which I don’t recommend going after. It’s still on my blog but it’s just not a very good drawing). It had a graffiti lesbian flag behind them, and I decided to keep that idea because I like it

I drew Ketbine (again, because I dont like the old version I did anymore). I love this pairing. Might be my favourite Star Wars pairing of all (and I'm 100% convinced they're a couple).
I love them even more because Pride and Rebellion really go hand-in-hand (in fact, they are kissing, sloppy-style, squishing boobs together, etc.) 🏳️‍🌈Rebel Mandalorian Space Lesbians for the win!🏳️‍🌈
I wish Ketsu would show up in the new Ahsoka show... How cool would it be for them to make their relationship canon? She wouldn't even need to be there all the time. Maybe she shows up in, like, one episode, just to show she's Sabine's wife. Maybe she helps out in one episode's side quest or something.
Last thing: my little RANT (it's my post, so I get to do this all I want 😌) I've seen a good deal of shipping of Sabine and Ezra recently. And I hate that ship with a passion. 1-Their story is an amazing one of him letting go of his infantile teenage attraction after being rejected a few times (making it infinitely better and more healthy than the gross Han and Leia relationship), and them then developing a great, close friendship. That would all be undermined by them then falling in love. 2-Sabine is probably the most queer-coded character in Star Wars, a franchise with no actual, decent, explicit LGBT+ representation in it. So having her end up in a boring heteronormative relationship would be shitty, not to mention unimaginably dull. So I hope it never happens.

I’m a WolfWren shopper too, mind you. I drew this before Ahsoka came out, so I didn’t know about WolfWren yet. At the time I was hoping maybe Ketsu would show up, and I agree, she gets forgotten.
But maybe they broke up for some reason, and now Sabine’s available. Definitely gonna draw a WolfWren later. Just haven’t gotten around to it yet as I haven’t been drawing so much lately.
Also thanks!

They seem to be. But joke’s on them. The one homophobe who reblogged my art with his bullshit (which, mind you, I think Ezra would hate. Ezra is an ally) seems to have given my drawing bonus attention. And got blocked.
Also thanks 🥰

Probably other people suggesting this, but, maybe it’s possible for a bunch of cis men, trans women, people on menopause or who’ve had hysterectomies, etc (including outside the United States) to download apps like this, set their location to somewhere like Florida or another state that might use that data, and just…lie. Make it seem like you’re menstruating for a while and suddenly stop for a month or two then get back to it. Flood them with false information. Make their persecution non-viable

Don’t know if anyone will see this, but fuck it I’ll try.
I had an idea for rewarding non-combat solutions to encounters in D&D (because I don’t wanna have so much combat, but also wanna have tense encounters like that).
Through dungeon design, placement of objects and paths, etc. (as well as communicating to the players that this is possible), actively creating opportunities for different solutions like: stealthily avoiding combat altogether; stealthily dispatching enemies (think AC or Arkham games’ stealth missions); diplomacy and conversation.
Throng the use of the XP system, reward choosing these: first, I’d calculate the XP for the combat, then reward simply avoiding with an equal amount, and stealth mission-style dispatching with the XP per enemy instead of the group multiplication in the DMG.
For diplomacy I could maybe calculate a separate difficulty and XP, so an enemy that is more powerful but also more reasonable is easier to negotiate with, while an enemy that’s weaker but stubborn is easier to fight, creating a choice between ease and reward.
Anyway, that’s it. I’m new to this, still learning the game, so please be kind.
And please save any “you should look for other systems” comments. I’m learning this one because I feel like it, and I like bending rules and conventions to fit the stories I want to tell. In a different system I’d bend them just as much, probably. I also got enough on Reddit, and I’m here hoping to find more helpful people, but I still think it’s worth it to ask to skip that

So, I’ve recently read a text for my dissertation about the gendered aspects of genocide, and hate propaganda, from an intersectional perspective (this one). And it highlights how in genocidal contexts, some of the most targeted people are the most vulnerable members. This is usually women (Black Women in the case of racist hate speech in the US; Tutsi Women in the case of the Rwandan genocide). But this translates perfectly to this situation.
In the persecution of women, and for misogynistic rhetoric, the most vulnerable often are trans women (or as one comment added, black women, or autistic women).
But also in the persecution and currently invigorated and heightened oppression of the LGBT+ community, trans people are some of the most vulnerable, as we stand in the intersection between misogyny, queerphobia, bioessentialism, and the patriarchal outrage at anyone daring to reject masculinity. And with NB people, our identity and existence is also targeted because of inherently breaking with the gender structures and roles developed and perpetrated by European Christian society. This means, of course (and this is obvious to everyone seriously tied to LGBT+, feminist, or anti-genocide activism) that the attack on trans people is in fact a tool for targeting the whole community.

I never went to a proper library before 2023, and didn’t really explore. Then I started needing books for my dissertation and learned the wonders of a library.
If you know what the book’s registry is, it feels like a treasure hunt. You follow the little numbers, getting closer and closer, and you can see the themes getting more and more related. Then BOOM! Treasure! And the treasure is a book! And you found it only with a little number! And you can find any book by only knowing its number. Then if it’s a theme you’re interested in, you can always look around, and often you’ll find related interesting things close by.
So library became a beloved space. And when I went to visit my gf in a different city and different university, I went to the library while she was in class and just wandered. And I saw the title of each section, and I found interesting things to look at and check out. If looking for a specific book feels like a treasure hunt, wandering a library feels like exploring the wilderness, not knowing wha you'll find, and stumbling on fascinating curiosities. But it's, once again BOOKS! Words! Knowledge!
Libraries are amazing. And I love them.

"Today marks one year since the death of the People’s Bubbie Shatzi Weisberger. Before she passed, she said, “I’ll fight like hell for a free Palestine until the day I die. Then I’ll keep fighting. Your queer ancestor is with you.”
If you’ve been rising up in solidarity with Palestine these past two months, your queer ancestor is indeed with you, along with countless other antizionist Jewish ancestors. For many, family and community rifts may be especially painful right now. No matter what, you are not alone. Remember that you have a long lineage of elders and ancestors at your back.
Last night, Israel resumed its brutal bombing of Gaza and has already killed dozens of people. Shatzi would encourage all of us to do everything we can right now for a permanent, lasting ceasefire. To mourn the dead and fight like hell for the living.
Shatzi died on World AIDS Day, which was b’sheret ("destined”) because in addition to being a lifelong organizer, she was a nurse for 47 years who cared for people living and dying with AIDS.
From ACT UP’s organizing to end AIDS to the movement for Palestinian freedom, we honor the ancestors and movements who made us possible."
We will be forever grateful to the ancestors who paved the path before us. May their memories fuel us to work towards freedom for all people — no exceptions."
