#ONEPIECE Theory Space-Time The Significance of Sanji's Association With Space.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This theory will attempt to explain why Oda has repeatedly associated Sanji with the theme of space. I will explore what it means for Sanji's powers and what it means for the future of Sanji's role in the story. Let's get in to it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
However, Sanji's connections to the subject of space started a long time ago. In ch. 841, we saw Reiju point Sanji toward a ship. We first saw this same ship in ch. 56. It's name was - "The Orbit."
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
But what does it mean for Sanji to be associated with space? Does it actually mean anything significant? Ever since Sanji began to awaken his Lineage Factor modifications, we have seen his attacks begin to become associated with references to shooting stars and comets.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The key to understanding the full extent of the significance to Sanji's association with space can be found in this concept of the Lineage Factors. This is effectively what we call DNA. This was the great discovery of Vegapunk & MADS. 'A step into the realm of Godhood.'
Tumblr media
But what have Lineage Factors or DNA got to do with space or stars? If you think about it, all of the elements that form our bodies were created through the life cycles of stars. We are 'made of stardust.'
Tumblr media
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So we can see how this theme of space connections to the progression of Sanji's Lineage Factor based powers, but is there any more to it than just that? I believe that it also points us in the direction of Sanji's ultimate role in the story. The Sabotage of Saturn.
Back in Thriller Bark, Sanji vowed to Kuma that he would eventually be the one among the Straw Hats who will cause the most trouble for the World Government. Let me explain how I think that this will be Sanji causing the downfall of one of the Gorosei. Saint Jay Garcia Saturn
Tumblr media
saturn is also known as 'The Defense Science Warrior God.' Doesn't it seem like a coinicidence then, that Sanji is also described as a 'Warrior of Science'? Even without all of the evidence associating Sanji with space, I think this is a clear indication that the two will fight.
Tumblr media
However, I don't think that Sanji will fight Saturn personally at Egghead. I believe that Sanji will sabotage Saturn's plans this time, and their fight will come later, during the final arc. Sanji's character is at it's best when he is on solo espionage & sabotage missions.
Tumblr media
How will Sanji managed to sabotage Saturn's plans? I believe that Sanji will hijack the World Government's signals by stealing Kizaru's wiretap transponder snail. Sanji will discover the full extent of the WG's plans & this will enable him to sabotage them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It is also worth considering that Saturn is known as the God of Time according to the Romans. I believe this is the core reason why Oda is associating Sanji with Space. To make him and Saturn two sides of a coin. Space and Time.
Tumblr media
actually has quite a formal manner when he addresses people, and he will often hold polite conversation before attacking people. This makes me think that we will get a surprisingly polite conversational moment between Sanji & Kizaru before a clash.
Tumblr media
I imagine that the setting of this scene will be the two of them having a momentary smoke break. The subject of their discussion could be Lineage Factors & Kizaru's memories of Vegapunk & MADS. "The day Vegapunk and your father were arrested was the day I joined the Navy."
Tumblr media
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Through this encounter, Sanji may learn the true potential of Lineage Factor modification & the reason the WG feared the discovery enough to arrest Vegapunk. A fictional additional 'Alien' element to the existing elements created from stars that form the matter of life.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I believe that through Lineage Factor augmentation, it is possible to achieve a state of Awakening without actually having a Devil Fruit. An ancient power of alien origin considered to be - 'A step into the realm of godhood.' Apotheosis.
I believe that this is the significance of Sanji's association with space. The theme hides the true nature & full potential of his Lineage Factor based powers. And it establishes Sanji's role in countering the actions of Saturn & fighting him in the final war.
a reply I had seen
Theory sanji will mimic saint jay Garcia Saturn's to Talk to the gorosei like what happened where he talked with crocodile who thought he was me 3 ( vinsmokes can mimic peoples voices
or in your view mimic kizarus voice

One Piece Chapters 1107-1112 Livestream Discussion/Review: It's So Nostalgic!
youtube
There is a lot of things that have transpired with Luffy, Nami, and the other Straw Hat members as they continue to persue in their escape from Egghead Island only to be stopped in their tracks by one of the five great elders, St. Jaygarcia Saturn which also leads to the reintroduction of Brogy and Dorry from Little Garden coming to their aid to escape as Vegapunk is prepared to share the world's secret throughout the globe.

"The native hunting competition" really broke me. What a timing to release this chapter too... Anyone who still thinks One Piece isn't political and isn't woke, should just drop it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Garp and Roger are on very thin ice. idk what Xebec could be doing that's worse than this. idk what will justify Garp and Roger "protecting the tenryuubito and their slaves", even though so far we only have the marines POV of what happen. One thing is certain, the tenryuubito were protected. So, Garp and Roger start explaining yourselves.

SPOILERS: Chapter 1094 of ONE PIECE
We've finally seen St. Jaygarcia Saturn's real form on chapter 1094, and it is absolutely diabolical. It seems to be inspired by a yōkai called Ushi-oni. So I went back to chapter 1085 and tried to connect the rest of the Gorosei with other yōkai. Here are my predictions:
Tumblr media
Ushi-oni: In Wakayama Prefecture, ushi-oni are mountain-dwelling beasts. Legend says when a hiker or traveler makes eye contact with the ushi-oni, the person cannot avert his or her gaze. The person's soul or energy is drained and he or she dies. This is called “Kage wo kuu (影を食う)” or sometimes "Kage wo nomu (影を飲む)", which translates to “eating the shadow” or "drinking the soul".
Tumblr media
Aosaginohi: Aosaginohi, or Aosagibi (青(あお)鷺(さぎ)火(び), "blue heron fire") is a phenomenon illustrated by Toriyama Sekien in his Konjaku Gazu Zoku Hyakki. It depicts a night heron with a mysteriously illuminated body. Folklore built around the phenomenon tells a story of an old black-crowned night heron transforming into a yokai. The herons' feathers fuse into shining scales that give off an iridescent blue light in the dark of night. The yokai's breath is also said to release golden powder into the air that collects to form a heat-less fiery light, though this light eventually dissipates in the wind. The harmless creature is said to flee from human contact, retaining a normal heron's shyness. Legend also warns to not confuse the glimmering blue-white light with onibi lights.
Tumblr media
Baku: Baku (獏 or 貘) are Japanese supernatural beings that are said to devour nightmares. According to legend, they were created by the spare pieces that were left over when the gods finished creating all other animals. They have a long history in Japanese folklore and art, and more recently have appeared in manga and anime. The Japanese term baku has two current meanings, referring to both the traditional dream-devouring creature and to the Malayan tapir. In recent years, there have been changes in how the baku is depicted.
Tumblr media
Benzaiten: Benzaiten (shinjitai: 弁才天 or 弁財天; kyūjitai: 辯才天, 辨才天, or 辨財天, lit. "goddess of eloquence"), also simply known as Benten (shinjitai: 弁天; kyūjitai: 辯天 / 辨天), is a Japanese Buddhist goddess who originated mainly from Saraswati, the Hindu goddess of speech, the arts, and learning, with certain traits deriving from the warrior goddess Durga. Due to her status as a water deity, she was also linked with nāgas, dragons, and snakes. Apart from being a patron of music and the arts, she was eventually also worshiped as a bestower of monetary fortune and was reckoned as one of the Seven Lucky Gods (Shichifukujin).
Tumblr media
Ōkubi: In Japanese folklore, Ōkubi (大首) are giant heads of either men or women. An Ōkubi appearing in the sky is a sign of impending disaster, which may be a typhoon, earthquake, tsunami, or fire. These disasters are often attributed to the Ōkubi. Ōkubi are otherwise harmless and will disappear soon after the first sighting. They are thought to be sky spirits who protect the sky's or people who died during a natural disaster. They are said to protect people from the natural disasters and protect the sky from demonic sky spirits. It is said if one does not pay respect for the Ōkubi, they will be turned into sky spirits and their face will appear in the sky immediately. Those who do pay respect are said to get good fortune and gifts.
Tumblr media
PS.: This silhouette probably belongs to Imu themselves, but I can't figure out what yōkai or supernatural being it represents. What are your theories?
EDIT: Thank you @ozo-blog and @marimo-kyun for your suggestion!
Tumblr media
On chapter 1069, Vegapunk said that Devil Fruits earned the ire of Mother Nature, which is the Sea itself. The name Imu can be read as Umi backwards, meaning "Sea" in Japanese. So, maybe Imu has a power that controls the sea? Umibozu would be on theme for them.
Tumblr media
Umibōzu: Umibōzu (海坊主, "sea priest") is a paranormal phenomenon or yōkai from Japanese folklore. Other names include Umihōshi (海法師, "sea priest") or Uminyūdō (海入道, "sea priest"). Little is known of the origin of umibōzu but it is a sea-spirit and as such has multiple sightings throughout Japan. Normally, umibōzu appears to sailors on calm seas which quickly turn tumultuous. It either breaks the ship on emergence or demands a bucket or barrel from the sailors and proceeds to drown them. The only safe way to escape an umibōzu is to give it a bottomless barrel and sail away while it is confused.
Alternative: I've also seen another theory that says Imu could be Satan (from the Bible, yes) because he has a Red Dragon form that could relate to the Celestial Dragon's symbol, a red dragon hoof.
Tumblr media
Red Dragon (Biblical Satan): The Red Dragon is a form of the Biblical Satan, otherwise known as Lucifer, the former Seraphim that rebelled against the Creator and became evil in Christianity and Hebrew religions. His alias, the Red Dragon, was described in the Bible to have seven heads, ten horns, seven crowns, and a massive tail that knocks one-third of the stars out of the sky. The Red Dragon is mentioned to have other names like the Serpent of Old and the Devil. It is said in the Bible that Satan will take the form of the Red Dragon and will along with the Antichrist, the False Prophet, and the Beast, deceive most of Humanity. After that the Red Dragon will be set free upon the world in which he will rule alongside demons for three long years. After that God will cast the Red Dragon, demons, and other dammed evil souls into Lake of Fire, thus finally destroying the evil of Satan forever.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
During the time-skip, we've seen Brook being accidentally summoned by a Satanic cult, which implies the existence of Satan in the One Piece world. Now, on chapter 1094, we've seen again a summoning circle, this time for St. Jaygarcia Saturn. I think it's pretty obvious the connection between real world devils and the Gorosei and Imu.
It's all going to come to the ironic conclusion that the D. clan, the enemies of the Gods, are Gods themselves (like Nika) and the Celestial Dragons, the Gods of the world, are actual Devils.

OPLA fan cast polls - Jack Black
He's been accepted for two roles in the fan cast polls (but not accepted for the roles of Jinbe, Blackbeard, and St. Jaygarcia Saturn), but which one of these two is the best for him?
Tumblr media
Propaganda:
Saul: I'm convinced that Jack Black can make us cry with his performance as Saul AND give us a convincing 'dereshishishi'. He already played a 'giant', but this giant would be the superior one. He also has a great beard.
Wapol: [submitted without propaganda]
Brook: First of all, Jack Black has both the voice and the silliness required to KILL IT as Brook. Also I think it would be really funny if they just put him in a terrible Halloween skeleton costume but everyone in the fiction just believes he’s a skeleton. Also, also, Jack Black has great tits, just like Brook.

Satan Saturn
Tumblr media
St. Jaygarcia Saturn's name is written in katakana, ジェイガルシア・サターン聖, so Saturn (サターン) is written and pronounced almost the same as サタン, Satan.
Somehow I doubt it's just a pun.

Fallen Star
Tumblr media
I have a theory that Inbi is a former member of the Gorosei who rebelled against Imu.
Tumblr media
Inbi looks like Satan and the kanji beauty is in his name. The Devil was God's most beautiful angel before he fell.
Tumblr media
One member of the Gorosei was named and it is St. Jaygarcia Saturn. People more clever then me pointed out that gorosei can translate to Five Elder Planets. And the five planets are ones bright enough to be seen by the unaided eye. So there is a theory that rest of the Gorosei will be named after the remaining five planets: Mercury. Mars, Jupiter and Venus. Lucifer comes from Venus the brightest star.
Tumblr media
I believe Inbi tried to usurp Imu and become King of the World. But he failed and was cast from paradise.
Tumblr media
I think this Gorosei member is proof of my theory. It seems like he is the youngest which I think hints he replaced and older member.
Tumblr media
Inbi is a failed artficial ancient giant. I believe Hawkins will use his tarot cards to restore Inbi. I think he will do it with the World Card since it means success and completeness.
Tumblr media
I think Inbi altered his appearance in order to stay hidden and later fell victim to WG's gigantifcation experiments.

The Gorosei’s Final Opponents Solved
YouTube comments
As a sandworm, an animal who kinda moves unnoticed under the ground, makes sense if Ju Peter is the traitor/undercover. It’s also the only one whose form doesn’t really fit the demon theme.
The tension I felt was between Warcury and Akainu. Akainu will most likely fight him. I do not think Dragon will fight one of the Gorosei. Either he will help against Imu or he will take care of the God's Knights with the Revolutionary Army.
I remember seeing a theory relating to Ju Peter. In Japanese (シェパード・十・ピーター聖) his name features what looks like a cross. Historically Saint Peter was crucified in Rome by Emperor Nero (known for his cruelty and sadism) on an upside down cross, as blame for starting a fire in Rome. It could tie into the belief that Ju Peter will betray (Nero)na Imu in some way in the story.
If there is going to be a traitor Gorosei, it's definitely Ju Peter. Based on the positioning of the Doflamingo / Imu panels, Ju Peter occupies the same position as Corazon would, if he were to have been in the picture (based on the positions of the swords in both panels). Additionally, Ju Peter is the only Gorosei that have questioned the World Government at any point. During Wano he questioned why the WG felt the need to hide the real name of the Gum-Gum Fruit. He was also the one who questioned Imu as to why they selected Lulusia. Finally the most important part that I believe to be the key to the puzzle lies in real life Christian theology. Saint Shepherd Ju Peter is named after Saint Peter. Assuming that Ivankov was right when speculating about Imu's identity, they would be Saint Nerona Imu. This namessake most likely is a reference to the real life Emperor Nero. And it just so happened that it's said that Emperor Nero killed Saint Peter by method of cruxification. The precedent for cruxification as a method of punishing Celestial Dragons has already been set with Figarland Garling killing Mjosgard in this way.Show less
Plus ju Peter is named after the planet Jupiter named after the Roman god Jupiter the Roman equivalent to Zeus who is poseidon and hades/plutos brother both Poseidon and pluton are connected to imus enemies
Warcury is self proclaimed god who transforms into a fire boar known in mythology for destorying towns. Kozuki Oden defeated a large boar that was considered a god who was destroying a town. There is a straw hat who wants to follow directly in Oden's footsteps too, though one who hasn't joined just yet; Yamato. I get that Dragon should have a win, but I think they've established the God's Knights as the threat the Revolutionary Army are working around so they'll probably be the army on army fight with Dragon taking out Garling.
I think it's possible Jupiter might be a traitor because of the fact that his Zoan doesn't match the theme of the rest, as well as the fact that he very literally embodies a Zoan that is an insect, which the gorosei sort of constantly use as an insult.
Akainu is just written so closely to the idea of breaking off that I'd be surprised if he doesn't fight a gorosei, or maybe he fights Imu and loses
If we consider Skypiea as One Piece in miniature, it lends even more credence to the idea that Dragon will defeat one of the Gorosei. His closest parallel in Skypiea is Wiper. Wiper defeated one of Enel's priests (actually he one shot him with the Reject Dial) and was almost able to kill Enel. As such, I expect Dragon to easily stomp one of the Gorosei and actually almost manage to defeat Imu, but ultimately fall just short. I even expect we'll get a "For My Ancestors" like line out of Dragon right as he's defeated by Imu.Show less
I think kid might likely have a match against figarland as a sort revenge match against shank's realtive
Considering Jupiter (the planet) is known for always getting in the way of asteroids, protecting the earth in the way, Ju Peter could really be a traitor to the Gorosei in order to protect the One Piece world

It has been a while since I have discussed about the One Piece Manga with the latest events in the Egghead arc, and there is a lot that happened when it came to the strawhats trying to escape along with an encounter between Bonney and St. Jaygarcia Saturn that leads us into her backstory that connects to her father Kuma.

"Heavenly Bodies" Theory Follow-Up (1073+ Spoilers)
That's what I'm titling my theory about the 5 Elders, the Gods and the Ancient Weapons, it seems fitting.
First on the agenda, let's talk about Devil Fruits. Following up on the Wuxing/Gogyo there are some animal associations that I didn't talk about, specifically mythical beasts, those being:
Tumblr media
The Vermilion Bird of the South. the White Tiger of the West, The Yellow Dragon of the Centre, the Azure Dragon of the East, and the Black Tortoise-Snake of the North. These are known as the Five Heavenly Beasts.
The Five Elders being Celestial Dragons have strong ties to "heaven". The one I want to focus on is the Azure Dragon right now, as it's the one we've actually seen in the story; belonging to Kaidou. We know it was obtained by Big Mom during the God Valley incident which involved the Celestial Dragons heavily. The execution of Kaidou was attempted many times by the government and each and every one failed. This may have lead to Vegapunk's (who does indeed answer to the Five Elders) attempts to clone this fruit and failed, producing a pink dragon instead.
I believe it's possible that the government wanted Kaidou's fruit to give to St. Jupiter, because it held symbolic importance to the the Celestial Dragons; we know they revere dragons. If indeed the Five Elders represent the Five Heavenly Beasts, it would be embarrassing for them to be missing one of the Devil Fruits key to their belief system or symbolism to some degree. I also find it interesting that the World Government's emblem has 4 cardinal directions and a centre, much like the concept of Wuxing.
What does this mean for things going forward? Well currently I think it's possible that St. Jaygarcia Saturn has the Yellow Dragon fruit, which would be a massive threat to everyone on Egghead.
I feel like this theory could be quickly disproven though, with the current rate of the story.
And how about the Gods?
Yes indeed. Last time I said I was unsure who Earth, the Moon, Pluton and Uranus could be. I've since done some more reading and have some ideas.
I'm fairly locked in on Uranus being Im now, King of Heaven and all. I now believe Vivi will be the Earth God or Gaea, she has an affinity for rain, which brings life to plants, and Im is after her (or indeed already has her) in Greek myth, Uranus and Gaea are married. Which could imply some connection in the story.
As for the Moon, Blackbeard I think. The Dusk to Luffy's Dawn. The In'Yo, the Yin Yang.
I don't have anything to add on Pluton.
That's pretty much it for this time. I'm doing some research into the Wufang Shangdi which may lead to a part 3, but no promises.
