Ten-Tails Original Concept
I have a theory that Hamura was originally supposed to be the ten-tails.
Kishimoto made changes to the story as it went along, I think this was the original concept for the Ten-Tails and Hamura.
I think it would have been a callback to the tension between the main house and branch house of the Hyuga Clan. Which was epitomized in the relationship between Hiashi and Hizashi. And to the theme of brotherhood in Naruto.
Hamura and Hagoromo are twin brothers. I think the originally they were supposed to be have been the first born with the Byakugan. I think it would have been a result of selective breeding of ocular powers.
I think Kekkei Genkai was supposed to be the rudimentary way chakra was utilized.
The Sage of Six Paths is credited for discovering the inner workings of chakra.
The Byakugan has the ability to see the chakra pathway system and I think the brothers would have used that ability to discover chakra.
This is already the case since the Rinnegan was credited as birthing all jutsu.
I think Hamura and Hagoromo would have both tried to find a solution for world peace coming to different conclusions.
I think Hamura was originally meant to look to the gods. And so summoned one and fused with it.
Instead of a benevolent god I think Hamura would have summoned a devil. The concept of an evil god was brought up through Hidan and Jashin.
The effect of the fusion would have been the birth of the Rinne Sharingan. I think he would of use his abilities to try to forcibly bring peace to the world which have led to a conflict with his brother, leading to his transformation.
I think the ten-tails was originally based on the Hitotsume-nyūdō a giant one-eyed priest yokai. There is lore that it was really a kitsune or tanuki, which I think was combined into the ten-tails. Kitsune have 9 tails while tanuki one.
I think his metamorphosis would have been similar to Orochimaru's transformations.
Hagoromo would seal his brother within himself transforming his Byakugan into the Rinnegan. And leading him to pass on the Sharingan to the Uchiha.
When the ten-tails first appeared it was obvious there was a connection to Sharingan and Rinnegan.
We know the story somewhat kept intact the lore about the Uchiha originating from the Hyuyga Clan through the Ōtsutsuki but I think originally it was supposed to be a straight link.
I think the Hyuga Clan's policy of putting a curse seal on the branch family was in response to what happen with Hamura. And why it was placed in the same spot where the Rinne Sharingan appears.
I think there are traces of this original concept. The Mangekyo Sharingan was stated as "heavenly eyes that see the truth of all of creation without obstruction" in the third databook. The Complete Susanoo took on the forms of Karasu and Yamabushi Tengu.
We saw these tengu as statues at the entrance of the Fire Temple. Although not delved into we know ninja monks existed in the story.
Also the Gedo Mazo looked like a Sokushinbutsu a mummified monk. Which I think hinted at it being a monk like the Sage of Six Paths.

Lille Barro's Godlike Power
In my opinion Lille Barro is the most interesting member of the Schutzstaffel.
He is the first Quincy that Yhwach granted a Schrift which makes him believe that he is Yhwach's greatest creation/masterpiece.
Despite not being part of the Soul King like the other members he had the powers of a god and led the Schutzstaffel or so it seems.
Lille Barro was quick to correct Oetsu when he stated that he gain an additional power when he was revived through Auswahlen but I think was a hint to why he is so powerful.
I have a theory that Lille Barro's original Schrift was A: The Axis. I think like Uryu he received the same letter as Yhwach.
While Uryu received it because he was Yhwach's successor, I think Lille Barro got it because Yhwach's Almighty was sealed by Ichibei so a replacement was needed.
I think Lille Barro's original power had to do with the optical axis. According to Wikipedia it's the "imaginary line that passes through the geometrical center of an optical system such as a camera lens, microscope or telescopic sight." Which fits with his sniper aesthetic. The emblem on his eye looks like a crosshair. His eyes and third eye lid in his second Vollständig form are reminiscent of camera lenses. I think it gave him a superior eyesight for sniping.
Letzt Stil has an ability similar to Sklaverei. I think similar to Quilge he used it to absorb a soul and that soul being a Fullbringer. I think when Lille Barro restored his powers his new power awakened changing his Schrift.
I don't know if X has any special mean to the Fullbringers but I think this a big clue to Lille Barro's connection to Fullbringers.
Fullbringers can manipulate the the soul in objects. It was explained all things in the world have souls.
I think this ability augmented Lille Barro's powers allowing him to penetrate all.
I think it explains why his Vollständig is so unique among the Sternritter and why he as a second form. Similar to Ichigo having two Zanpakuto Lille Barro has two sources of powers.
He had similar powers to Aizen and in Bleach one way to Godhood is the pouring of one soul into another to sublimate it.

The Beast of Darkness
The Beast of Darkness has been an enigma ever since it appeared. And it seems like we will get an answer to what it is now that it's loose and offering Guts power. I have a theory that it originated from the daemon/alter ego created by the Slug Count.
I think the daemon ended up in the Interstice after being killed by Guts. Rosine's pseudo-Apostles showed this was possible when they ended up there.
Being branded Guts is now an offering of those of darkness which entails drawing evil spirits that try to possess him.
I think after the death of the Slug Count his daemon possessed and fused with Guts without his knowledge. Since it was just an extension of the Count's will I think it end up becoming an extension of Guts's will creating the Beast of Darkness.
The Beast of Darkess is trying to consume Guts and take control of his mind and body which is exactly what the Daemon did to Zondark.

Bleach Hell Arc Theory
It was revealed that Captain level Shinigami are cast into hell because their souls are unable to be reincarnated. And the Soul Society can't allow their Reishi to linger there.
It seems like Kazui himself is casting souls into hell but I think this is a misdirection.
I think he is really sending them to the Valley of the Screams. They contain the souls of those ejected from the reincarnation cycle.
The circulation of souls is inspired by the reincarnation cycle from Buddhism/Hinduism. I think the Valley of Screams represent enlightenment which is release from that cycle.
Szayelporro being cast in Hell means that some parts of the Hell chapter promoting the movie was real.
I think it also means Aaroniero is also there and the soul of Kaien Shiba. I think it could be possible he appears in person. Maybe the Valley of Screams will somewhere to send Captains who don't deserve Hell.

Franky's Clan
I was surprised that Oda turned Sanji's gag of self-combusting when he gets angry serious. I just chalked it up to the fantastical setting, but he made it an ability of the Lunarians a god like race.
Which now brings me to Franky. It doesn't really make much sense that he could turn himself into a cyborg with scrap metal all by himself.
Especially compared with Kuma whose transformation into a cyborg was treated more like a medical procedure.
I think it has been hinted that Franky has a special background since his wanted poster is mysteriously like Sanji's where it lacks his real face. Sanj's wanted posters always lead to important subplots.
My theory is that he is descended from artificial lifeforms. He mistook the toys in Dressrosa as genius technology on Vegapunk's level.
We now know that the Ancient Kingdom was highly advanced so that opens up the chance of such beings actually existing.
I think it has been hinted a couple of times. Den asking Franky if he has a robot some where in his lineage.
Also, Franky being mistake as a toy by the Tontatta.
I think Franky's ancestors were programed to build the Noah. And are the clan mentioned by the Sea Kings.
I think Franky's clan later on turned into humans. The Hobi Hobi no Mi can turn people into toys. I think it's safe conjecture that the Ancient Kingdom to create technology that could do the opposite. I think they were able to keep remnants of their artificial lives like more durable bodies and their ship building skills.

Scarlet Eyes
The story of the Kurta Clan massacre started out simple but has become muddled. At first it seemed straightforward the Phantom Troupe killed them to harvest their eyes. But then inconsistencies started popping up.
The Phantom Troupe seem to treat it as just another job they can't even remember.
But that can't be the case since a letter citing their Law of Retribution was left. Indicating that the Kurtas did a Meteor City citizen(s) harm. Which seems unlikely do to how secluded they were.
Uvogin when seeing Kurapika's eyes suddenly remembered. He stated that it was major task, and that the Kurta Clan were pretty powerful.
Although the Kurta Clan gain tremendous strength when their eyes turn red, unless they knew Nen I can't imagine them giving the Phantom Troupe any kind of real resistance. I don't believe there was any indication in Kurapika's backstory that they knew Nen.
It turned out the Sheila, the person who gave Kurapika and Pairo the book about Hunter D which they cherished, is not only from Meteor City but a childhood friend of the Phantom Troupe. It can't be a coincidence that she was there.
I feel like it has to do with the death of Sarasa. In Togashi fashion he turned the Phantom Troupe into morally grey characters. Her murder is what led them down their path of darkness. Chrollo concluded that the killers recorded themselves doing the act. I think he discovered that someone with Scarlet Eyes was in the video and so searched for the Kurta Clan.
Sheila's childhood dream was to become a Hunter. I think similar with Kurapika that tragedy she went through inspired her to become a blacklist hunter. I think she was in the area looking for the Kurta Clan to find a clue about the killer also. But I think something happened.
I think we could look to Yu Yu Hakusho for some answers. Togashi did import ideas from it into Hunter X Hunter. For example, Chrollo's design is inspired by Sensui Shinobu.
I think the Kurapika draws some inspiration from Hiei. He had the Jagan which is a supernatural eye similar to the Scarlet Eyes.
He came from a secluded clan of Ice Maidens which is similar to the Kurta Clan who also isolated themselves.
Hiei was banished from his clan because his mother broke the rule of mating with a male demon. They believed he would become a plague and wipe them out one day. According to Kurapika it was forbidden to leave the forest where he lived. He stated he knew of no one who ever did but I think someone did and that person is one of Sarasa's killers. I think Togashi developed the idea of an evil clan member wiping out the rest with the Kurtas.
In Yu Yu Hakusho Hiei is implanted with the jagan by the demon doctor Shigure. I think this Kurta member designed could be based on him and that he might turn out to be a doctor.
Since Kurapika and the Phantom Troupe are all in the same place it seems like a clash is fated to happen. I think this Kurta clan member is also there and is working with the medical team. Mizaistom did state that Cheadle had to recruit more staff due to a shortage of doctors.
I think it would be ironic as well since Kurapika left home primarily to find a doctor to help Pairo.

Origins of the God Hand
I think the manga introduced or hinted at the human identities of the God Hand. I think they all connect to the religion of the Holy See. A popular theory is that the God the Holy See is actually the Idea of Evil. Starting with Void.
It seems like he is the sage that was imprisoned by Gaiseric in the Tower of Conviction for preaching against him.
Later on, I think it was hinted that he is Gedfring's father. His name is Vidd and in French vide means empty.
Next is Conrad.
I think he is the zealous noble Guts mentioned by Guts who put women, children and a town to the torch.
He was responsible for spreading the plague through rats which wiped out towns.
Third is Slan.
Ironically enough I think she was the holy woman Mozgus mentioned who devoted her life to helping others.
Slan was worshipped by the heretics at the Tower Conviction as the Goddess of Flame, which I think connects to the holy woman providing the dying warmth through her embrace.
Last is Ubik.
I think he had an enmity with Flora. When discussing the God Hand their silhouettes were shown above Flora and Guts. Griffith was above Guts which is an obvious nod to their rivalry. Ubik was above Flora which is odd because you would think it would be Void due to her history with Skull Knight. I think this was a hint at history between the two.
The physical tree that served as Flora's mansion rotted away 200 years ago around the same time as Eclipse. I think this is another hint.
Flora lived in the area around Enoch Village where she would go around helping the nearby villages. But was driven off when the Holy See's influence spread in the area. I think this was half the truth. I Ubik played a part in the conversion and the Flora figured out an Eclipse was happening there and tried to prevent Ubik's ascension.

S-Bear
Buccaneers have some sort of special trait that allows Kuma to act even though he has no free will.
But I don't think it was Kuma's doing. I think it is S-Bear acting through Kuma.
Lucci stated in front of S-Bear that he would kill Bonney if they ran across her.
Right after that Kuma sprang into action.
We know that clones inherit genetic memories from the original. S-Snake inherited the original's feelings for Luffy. I think S-Bear inherited Kuma's love for Bonney.
I think he contacted Kuma with the Voice of All Things. We know it allows telepathic communication between people.
I think it could be symbolic if S-Bear is behind it since Kuma did confront Saturn as a kid and Saturn is behind a lot of the misfortune in his life.
I think Zoro has the ability of the Buccaneers which is will materialization.
I think it will play into his rivalry with Sanji. Sanji has the ability of the Lunarians the gods to conjure flames. While Zoro has the ability of the Asuras the anti-gods to manifest his will.
I think it was foreshadowed by Vegapunk when he asked Kuma if he could give form to the mind and heart.

Supreme King Gaiseric Theory
I have a theory that the Skull Knight is not Gaiseric but his son.
Skull Knight seems like he was a young man before becoming a wraith. He called himself a foolish king and being foolish can be associated with youth. And he his lover the Lady Priestess was young woman.
The historic record of Gaiseric having no children seems like propaganda to justify splitting up the empire into different kingdoms. And it is natural hat the nations who were conquered would want their autonomy back.
Falconia is Gaiseric's restored capital city, and it is massive. Conquering the continent and building it seems like it would have taken decades.
Skull Knight that his friendship with Flora mirrors the one between Schierke and Guts. Guts is a young man and it was revealed that Flora was a servant to the Lady Maiden in her youth.
Ganishka was also an Emperor and conqueror had an adult son.
Daimons are high level spirits that exist in a deeper domain of the Astral World. I think Gaiseric became one when he died.
It was revealed that humans can become daimons heroes and magic users. And Gaiseric was credited with ending the age of the warlords bringing order.
I think this could be important because he might have played a role in defeating the previous generation of the God Hand.

Fall of the Previous God Hand
It was revealed that there. was a previous generation of the God Hand.
It was foreshadowed by the tale of the destruction of Gaiseric's capital. In it five angels were sent to destroy the city. But one question that comes up is what happened to them.
I have a theory they were defeated by the witches. I think it was implied that they were the ones who put on the seals on the World Tree.
I think they helped seal away the Sea God and I think the stone statue sealing the entrance is important.
Magic users were fiercer in the past. Those on Elfhelm were able to drive off an invading army and sacrificed some of them to create the Wicker Men.
It was stated that the Incarnation Ceremony happens every thousand years. Which I think means that Void should have incarnated.
I think there existed an apostle 1,000 years ago that was meant to incarnate Void.
I think magic users captured this Apostle similar to Daiba capturing Apostles to create his man-made Beherit.
I think they used it to incarnate the god whose image was used on the stone statue to seal the sea god. Who was able to defeat four of the five angels.

Google really fell off as a search engine. I can remember when Google deeply cared about reliability and validity. But nowadays, half the time I use Google Search, it returns results that aren't even related to what I'm searching for, along with malware links and spam. More and more, I find myself using Dogpile, DuckDuckGo, and Qwant for internet searches. Dogpile. Can you believe that? I remember using that search engine in like 6th grade. And throughout high school. Apparently they operate as a small company, running on only a few million dollars, and their search results are very good. Meanwhile, Google is operating on billions of dollars and somehow doing much worse. Maybe the lesson here is that money doesn't always translate to merit. You can have vast amounts of resources and yet still produce a subpar product. Or let a product that was once very good, wither away.
To be fair though, I do appreciate many of Google's other products. This is not a condemnation of Google as a whole. I use both Gmail and Blogspot. Those are great. This is more so a criticism of their search engine as a tech product. I think it could be improved.

Skip Google for Research
As Google has worked to overtake the internet, its search algorithm has not just gotten worse. It has been designed to prioritize advertisers and popular pages often times excluding pages and content that better matches your search terms
As a writer in need of information for my stories, I find this unacceptable. As a proponent of availability of information so the populace can actually educate itself, it is unforgivable.
Below is a concise list of useful research sites compiled by Edward Clark over on Facebook. I was familiar with some, but not all of these.
⁂
Google is so powerful that it “hides” other search systems from us. We just don’t know the existence of most of them. Meanwhile, there are still a huge number of excellent searchers in the world who specialize in books, science, other smart information. Keep a list of sites you never heard of.
www.refseek.com - Academic Resource Search. More than a billion sources: encyclopedia, monographies, magazines.
www.worldcat.org - a search for the contents of 20 thousand worldwide libraries. Find out where lies the nearest rare book you need.
https://link.springer.com - access to more than 10 million scientific documents: books, articles, research protocols.
www.bioline.org.br is a library of scientific bioscience journals published in developing countries.
http://repec.org - volunteers from 102 countries have collected almost 4 million publications on economics and related science.
www.science.gov is an American state search engine on 2200+ scientific sites. More than 200 million articles are indexed.
www.pdfdrive.com is the largest website for free download of books in PDF format. Claiming over 225 million names.
www.base-search.net is one of the most powerful researches on academic studies texts. More than 100 million scientific documents, 70% of them are free

White's Origin
I always thought that White's identity might be important. Since Old Man Zangetsu turned out to be Yhwach.
White was the first hollow Aizen created using the soul of a dead shinigami.
From what I could research it seems like White's identity was supposed to be a plot point that was solved.
I think he is Aizen's fourth follower that was obscured from Gin's flashback. I think he was hidden because he is a known character.
My theory is that he is Ganryu from Bleach: Memories of Nobody.
Kubo did make the Valley of Screams canon and Ganryu does have long white hair similar to White.
In the film the Ryōdoji Family was banished from the Soul Society 1,000 years ago the same time as the Quincy War. I think they were banished for siding with the Quincy.
I think they had the same philosophy as the Quincy concerning hollows, that they should be destroyed. And here is why I think so.
I think White being like an asauchi is a clue he is connected to Oetsu and I think it will turn out to be ironic like White choosing Masaki as a vessel.
Oetsu's zanpakuto Sayafushi can cut anything which I think is influenced by the legend of the competition between Masamune and Muramasa to create the better sword. Masamune is known for creating holy swords while Muramasa demonic cursed blades. I think this is a hint that the Ryōdoji Family created hollow killing weapons that extinguished hollows which were later replaced by the zanpakuto.
I think it could tie into the Shinigami practice of striking hollows from behind, so they don't learn their human identity. I didn't like how this was played out because we were led to believe that Ichigo was killing humans the whole time.
Then later it was clarified that hollows are really being cleansed not killed. It felt like cheap tension.
But maybe the methodology of striking hollows from behind comes from a foregone time when Shinigami were actually killing hollows.
As to for how he died. I think the story will come full circle and it will be revealed that White died giving Ginjo his shinigami powers.
Aizen has been involved in every important event in the series. So, I think he engineered the event to carry out experiment to turn a Fullbringer into a substitute Shinigami for his hollowfication research since Fullbringers have powers closer to hollows.
To bring up some further points, I think White choosing Masaki as host could be a signal to a past relationship with the Quincy. Maybe he wanted to empower a Quincy.
Another possible hint are the names. The name of Oetsu's castle is the Hōōden which translates to Fenghuang Palace and a fenghuang is the Chinese equivalent phoenix. And Ryōdoji means Dragon Hall Temple.
The Fenghuang is usually paired with the Chinese dragon who can control water and make it rain. Which might add symbolism to why White attacks during the rain. Ichigo hates the rain, but I wonder if White liked it as a Shinigami similar to Tosen liking clouds while Kakyo didn't.
I'm hoping White could lead to a bigger discussion about asauchi and their origins. I was shocked at the reveal that zanpakuto are made of Shinigami, but the topic was swept under the rug and never addressed again. I'm hoping the anime does expand this discussion.

Ise Clan
I thought Shinken Hakkyōken was a cool reveal and I wished we got more backstory to it and I'm hoping we might get some in the anime and/or hell arc.
I always thought it was a failsafe in case the Soul King broke free. When the seals on him were removed his powers did attack the Sereitei and the Shinigami.
My guess is that it was specifically designed by Oetsu to combat the Soul King. Oetsu's bodyguards are examples of zanpakuto with built in powers.
It was revealed that the Ise Clan suffers from a curse that kills all men that marry into the family and also that they only birth daughters.
Nanao's mother speculated that it was Shinken Hakkyōken's doing.
It made me think about the incorrect relationships between Shinigami and zanpakuto that could develop which were mentioned by Oetsu.
I also thought of Oetsu having a harem of female zanpakuto spirits to serve him. I think maybe Shinken Hakkyōken has a similar mindset as his creator and sees the Ise Clan as his wives and him as their true husband.
Oetsu regulates male zanpakuto to working behind the scenes. But I think Shinken Hakkyōken is more extreme so kills off their husbands and ensures they only have daughters.

Gon's Loophole
Gon lost his ability to use Nen in the aftermath of his fight with Neferpitou.
It was the result of the vow he made with his Nen, and it was foretold by Neferpitou. But I wonder if he will get his Nen back through a loophole.
I got the idea from further developments in the story. Chrollo made a bookmark, Double Face, so he could use both hands.
And Kurapika's theory that withdrawing a prince from the Succession Battle could end the ritual.
When Gon contacted Ging to get his assessment Ging tells him he just went back to normal as the price for the power to defeat Neferpitou. He asked him if it wasn't enough and that he should be content with how he was.
But I wonder if this was a secret test, according to Ging's words hunters are selfish people who cast aside everything for their own wants. There is a contradiction and makes me wonder if he is really saying that he should be happy to be ungrateful.
Nen abilities and manipulation can force a person's Nen to awaken, and I wonder if that would be the way to do it. But that seems too simple of a solution.
I think there is a correlation between Ai and Pap since they attach to humans, Pap seems like a parasite while Ai more of a symbiote. Since Nanika who seems very likely to be an Ai healed Gon I have a theory that Gon might use Pap to remove his curse.
It seems like a Pap is in the world since the International Permit Agencies have victims of it. Pap reduces its victims to shrunken bodies reminiscent of shrunken heads. The purpose of shrunken heads is to harness and compel the spirit of an enemy. I think maybe it will be able to extract Gon's curse.

Nature of the Beast
My interpretation of 373 was that the Beast of Darkness was Dragon Slayer which left me astonished because of all the clues.
Schierke personified Dragon Slayer stating she could see it's memories.
Schierke revealed that it had a shadow that coil around it.
It was the result from being tempered by the malice of the astral beings it cut down.
Which ties with what the Evil Spirits stated about Guts reeking of a darkness close to them and even took the form of the Beast.
Guts described his sword as being part of him and was even compared to a sword with a lethal crack.
This metaphor was realized when Guts was injured by Slan and donned the Berserker Armor.
Elementals can evolve into higher spirits and Chitch was the spirit of a flower. I think this is precedent that Dragon Slayer could turn into a more sentient spirit.
Currently the Beast is offering Guts power in exchange for himself.
Which goes back to the Evil Spirits prediction of the Beast of Darkness consuming him and taking his place.
But the Beast is asking Guts to make a sacrifice which reminds me of the story of Peekaf where elves were able to grant a wish. Which Guts compared to the Sacrificial Ceremony.
Slan expressed a desire for Guts to become an Apostle and mockingly told him to make a sacrifice. Her actions might of lead to this outcome. It seems like Dragon Slayer gets stronger the more astral beings it cuts, being tempered by Slan's malice could have led it gain the ability to grant a wish.
Dragon Slayer was able to snip Griffiths hair which Daiba deemed impossible for an Apostle to do.
Even Griffith acknowledged it's existence which I think hints the Beast of Darkness is a threat.
I don't know if my interpretation is wrong. But it would be interesting since the Berserker Armor and Beherit were portrayed as the threats to Guts losing his humanity but it seems like they were just Red Herrings.

Wolfman Clan
Sajin is from a clan that were transformed into werewolves due to their sins in life. Unfortunately we never got more then this but hopefully the anime will shed more light on the Wolfman Clan.
I think it is connected to the original sin of society. Sajin's grandfather knew that the world would not really perish with the death of the Soul King. Which to me hints at two things.
He knows that the world would return to its original form.
And that the Soul King was sacrificed to separate the worlds.
According to Sajin's grandfather the Wolfman Clan's true form is revenge.
Which is reminiscent of the Quincy who had grudges against the Hollows and Shinigami.
Maybe the Wolfman Clan wanted to save the Soul King.
I liked the concept of Shinigami striking Hollows from behind to save them from the turmoil of killing humans. But it kind of felt like cheap drama after it was revealed that Shinigami don't really kill Hollows but what if it is related to the Wolfman Clan.
Maybe Rukia was indeed right but the reason why was covered up.
Oetsu's zanpakuto Sayafushi reminds of the tale of the competition between Masumane and Marumasa. Marumasa made a sword that could cut anything while Masumane one that did not needlessly cut. Basically Masumane created holy swords while Marumasa cursed swords.
I think that maybe there weapons before zanpakuto that let Shinigami kill Hollows similar to the Quincy.
I think the Wolfman Clan refused to adopt the zanpakuto and continued to kill Hollows. Maybe their sense of justice turned into vengeance.
I think their mission was to upset the balance of souls to return the world to how it was.
But they were defeated and turned into wolves.
I think there punishment was meted out Ichibe through his power of names. He did rename Yhwach black ant and reduce his strength to one. He also has the ability to effect the reincarnation of a soul.
