A bundle of Brzzz doodles.

I wanted to try some loose sketches, just to kinda mess around and have a bit of fun drawing without worrying about cleaning them up afterwards.

I think my favourite one's out of these are the one at the top center were Brzzz looks very unimpressed about something, the one to the left with them skidding down a hill, and the one at the bottom of them sitting and fiddling with their buzzsaw.

Seer of the Seashore Sector. Current Interpreter of the Guardians

Round fluffy white jack with mostly white fur and a few dull brown stripes on her tail, back legs, braid, ears, and hair fluff. They are heavily decorated with a dull purple collar and darker rich purple cloth on her side. On her collar is a gold tag, a golden moon connecting the cloth and collar pieces together and another gold accent on their glasses in a butterfly like shape. Another necklace hangs under their collar with wisteria petals and a spiral shell, two more wisteria bracelets on her front foot with a carved shell ring on their front paw. Three tied pouches hang from her cloth with wisteria holding it together. Purple Emperor Butterfly wings sprout on their back, tail base, and front leg.

Orphan, no parental ties. Married to Azure. Mom of Lynx, Lily, Shore, and Sea.

5 years old. Equivalent of a 30-35 year old.

Caring, precise, empathetic, and thoughtful. Often gets too lost in the many responsibilities she has and needs a solid support to stay in the present.

Faint dull brown stripes are on their ears, eyebrow, hair, braid end, tail, and back legs. A dull purple collar is across their neck, darker purple cloth hang on her side in two pieces connected to the collar by the golden moon. A golden tag is on their collar with another gold accent on her glasses. A necklace of wisteria hangs under her collar and two more on their front paw. A spiral shell hangs off their chest necklace with a carved shell ring on her front paw. Three pouches hang off the bottom cloth. FINALLY. these bitches are finished. (for now...just until i play bomb rush again and get that sickening feeling of wanting to draw them wirh their movestyles again.... stupid baka shiver with their stupid baka bike would kill me to be quite HONEST!!!)

If you dont already know the game, its a successor to jet set radio , and i made the most autistic connection between crew battles and turf wars.

so youre telling me they spray as much area possible with their ink? huh? is that it? and they kick others out of their claimed turf when they win? huh? yeahuh? yeah get splatooned fool.

these are based on their splatoon 3 designs!! but ill tell you what i took 503839 years (im that old btw) to make up marinas design solely bevause of the in game villain in bomb rush being SO TEAM ORDER CODED i could not let go of trying to put marina in her team order fit.

but it ultimately would feel odd to have her be stuck in the past when everyone elses outfits were clearly from the third game. so i gave in today and then it was done in like an hour or two. bit evil to be honest.

please tell me someome else is insane here and played both games and are as equally insane as me. thanks 🫶

Cabaret in Düsseldorf: Ein Conférencier für unsere Zeit

„Berlin meant boys.“

Das schrieb Christopher Isherwood 1976 in Christopher and His Kind, seinem unverblümten Bericht über die Berliner Jahre, der lange nach den Berlin Stories erschien. Männer waren die ultimative Verlockung, die ihn 1929 von England nach Berlin zog, in eine Metropole, die - ungeachtet des geltenden § 175 - queeren Menschen oftmals ungewohnte Freiheiten bot. Dies ist der Hintergrund von Isherwoods Erlebnissen im Berlin der frühen 1930er Jahre (wenngleich manche Inszenierungen von Cabaret und vor allem der Film von 1972 den Schwerpunkt auf die heterosexuelle Beziehung zwischen Sally Bowles und Clifford Bradshaw verschieben).

In André Kaczmarczyks neuer Inszenierung am Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus schimmern Isherwoods Erlebnisse hingegen nicht nur durch, sie sind ihr Wesenskern.

Wir erleben eine queere Welt und ihren Untergang, ein Thema, das sich in sämtlichen Facetten der Inszenierung spiegelt: Bühnenbild, Kostüme, Eingriffe in den Text, Auswahl und Gestaltung der Songs.

Vor allem aber spiegelt es sich in der Figur des von Kaczmarczyk gespielten Conférenciers, die hier alle clownesken Züge verliert. Sein Conférencier ist zunächst lasziv, ironisch, boshaft, ein Mephisto, der Szenen beobachtet und spöttisch kommentiert.

Einmal präsentiert er sich als Polizist, der ein Girl aus dem Kit-Kat-Klub als in AfD-Blau gewandeten Sänger auftreten lässt, nur um den Gänsehaut-Moment danach ins Lächerliche zu ziehen, als im Hintergrund ein gut gebauter Adonis in Heldenpose erscheint. Dieser erinnert aber wiederum an Leni Riefenstahls faschistische Ästhetik und verweist damit auf die kommende braune Zukunft. Hier hat alles einen doppelten Boden.

Doch damit gibt sich Kaczmarczyk nicht zufrieden. Er schenkt seinem Conférencier eine Entwicklung, die in der Figur nicht zwingend angelegt ist. Im zweiten Teil der Inszenierung dringt die rechte Bedrohung in sein ureigenstes Refugium, den Kit-Kat-Klub, ein. Die Rechten werden nicht mehr lächerlich gemacht, sie sitzen mit lässig übergeschlagenen Beinen auf der Bühne oder wachen in ledernen Uniformen über alles, was im Klub geschieht.

Das durchaus schwierig zu inszenierende Lied „Säht ihr sie mit meinen Augen“ wird hier zu einer Hommage an queere Menschen, an die Schönheit der Vielfalt und des Andersseins. Zugleich schlägt der Conférencier mit seinem geänderten Schlusssatz „Säht ihr sie mit meinen Augen, dann säht ihr, sie alle sind schön“ einen Bogen zum Anfang, an dem er - hier noch ironisch und wild - die Schönheit aller beschwört, die zum Kit-Kat-Klub gehören, bis hin zum Orchester.

Doch in der Szene steckt noch mehr. Der Conférencier wird hier zu einer Beschützerfigur, indem er die Boys und Girls des Klubs behutsam anleitet, damit sie dem Nazi Ernst Ludwig gefallen, ihnen die Würde lässt und dennoch zu zeigen versucht, wie sie sich den geänderten Umständen anpassen können. Der Klub war bis dahin ein geschützter Raum, eine Art selbst gewählte Familie, und diese ist nun in ihrem Inneren bedroht. Als der Conférencier die Rechten provoziert, indem er für die Schönheit aller plädiert und die lächerliche Gorilla-Maske zu Boden schleudert, gefolgt von einem herausfordernden „Was?“, wird er zusammengeschlagen.

Am Ende trägt er zum goldenen Frack, unter dem als letzte Reminiszenz an alte zügellose Zeiten die spitzenbekleidete Brust hervorschimmert, eine Hose, deren Reiterlook schon auf Wehrmacht und SS verweist. Er lebt von jetzt an in einem Spannungsfeld von Selbstbehauptung und Anpassung. Und es bleibt fraglich, wie viel von seiner queeren Identität und der des Klubs er in die neue Zeit hinüberretten kann.
