☀️Yandere!Apollo with a Female!Gojo!Reader☀️

This is from a poll I made. This was the most voted on that poll (God's School Aphrodite!Reader and Mitsuri!Reader both tied for second, but I'll do those as well.)

The first part is told in the narrator's pov, then it's in your pov.

This won't follow the original plot, so in this, Geto is on Gojo!reader's side!

Reader is 28, which is Gojo's canon age in the series (This won't contain spoilers from the manga, so don't worry!)

Hades hasn't felt this stressed out over anything in his life.

Multiple reports stated that these creatures called Curses have been the source of his stress. Not only were they killing thousands of humans, but they were also destroying the bifrost, the gate that only the chief gods can access, himself included.

He's tried to take care of them himself, but he couldn't exactly get rid of them. So he resorted to letting sorcerers kill them since they were one of the only ones who can effectively take them on.

(Y/n) Gojo is one of the strongest sorcerers he has, so she was the one who was constantly working. She's one of the only sorcerers who can take down even the strongest curses with ease.

She refused to do so, unless he lets her three students go with her so they can grow. He was against it at first, seeing how they were teenagers, practically kids! But (Y/n) wouldn't have it any other way. Hades reluctantly let her three students go with her.

Yuuji Itadori, a 15 year old boy who was the host of the king of curses, Ryomen Sukuna, Megumi Fushiguro, another 15 year old boy who seemed to be Sukuna's interest and Nobara Kugisaki, a teenage girl.

During the three months of eliminating curses, her students have continued to grow stronger.

They were her precious students, and she won't allow anyone to separate them from her....

"How long until we find this curse?" Nobara complained, already feeling bored from the long walking. Megumi rolled his eyes and continued looking around. Yuuji didn't complain at all and was helping Megumi.

"Relax, we'll find that curse!" Yuuji said, smiling at Nobara.

"He's so handsome." A female said to herself, catching the three teenager's attention, as well as yours. The female revealed herself to be a nymph, but as soon as she was visible, the curse had appeared and brutally murdered the nymph. Megumi immediately summoned his wolves, the black and white ones ready to fight the curse.

A certain god with long, pink hair was nearby, wanting to take a break from the nymphs. Apollo had heard the commotion and went over to see what was going on. The god saw three teenage kids fighting a curse along with a grown woman with a blindfold over her eyes.

But this curse proved to be too much for the three teenagers and you had to finish it off, which you did with ease using black flash.

"I've never seen a human perform such a technique. It's.... Amazing."

Unbeknownst to the four of them, the same god had watched the whole fight, more focused on you. You're very beautiful, and he knew it.

A man your age with long black hair with parts of it tied up came over, asking you to go relax, even for just a bit. At first, you refused because you didn't want to be separated from your students, but they managed to convince you.

You lifted your blindfold up, revealing one of the most beautiful eyes Apollo has ever seen in his immortal life. Multiple sparkles of lights reflected brightly in your sky blue eyes, layered by white eyelashes.

"Her eyes.... They're like the blue skies themselves...." Apollo thought.

"Sure. I can also take a load off for a bit." You replied, putting the blindfold over your eyes. You urged them to go ahead, while you follow behind. When they were far enough, Apollo decided now was the time to get the woman's attention.

"Hey!"

You turned your head, seeing the pink haired God approach you with a smirk on his face. You now looked slightly disinterested, though it was hard to tell.

"I assume you're Apollo?~" You asked, folding your arms. Apollo felt his confidence grow from your acknowledgement of him.

"I am. But that's not why I'm here." Apollo replied, flipping some of his hair back.

"Make it quick then." You said.

"I've seen your beautiful techniques and-"

"Not interested. I've already did what I needed to do for now, and I'd like to relax." (Y/n) replied, turning back around and started walking away. Apollo was surprised at her answer, just watching her leave.

"What?- You-"

"Besides... You're too weak~" You finally spoke, looking back with a grin and looking forward. Apollo knows he should be angry at the audacity of this woman. But he couldn't. Instead...

He was more attracted to her.

And so began his little quest to win your heart. Ever since then, he's been watching your every step, figuring out your likes and dislikes and more effective ways to get closer to you.

Whenever he meets you in person, he later found out that you were oddly playful and nonchalant, despite your cruelty towards curses. Your interactions slowly grew, even if Apollo had to do it first. At first, you didn't want anything to do with Apollo, but he keeps coming to you, so you just let him do whatever.

But doing that only increased his love for you.

Apollo has always seen you with the man with long black hair, whose name is Geto Suguru. From your interactions with him, he has a strong connection with you, and it enrages him. He hates the way Suguru gets close to you. He didn't like the attention you give Geto. You always greeted with a playful smile, and he wishes he was the one you smile at.

He has to get rid of him, so you can only give him the attention you give Geto. Geto Suguru.... Has to go.

So that you'll have no choice but to love him and him only~

Back to the Start! Previous Next

One by one, over the course of a few hours, you each put the blindfold on and attempted to hit your teammates. The difficulty increased as you went on, from standing still to slowly moving, to running. By the end of the training session, you had multiple teammates whizzing past each other in different directions getting splatted.

As the four of you sat near or against the wall to catch your breath, you congratulated them on their improvement.

"I can't really put into words how impressed I am, nor will I admit I'm a poet at all. But I will say this; what you guys showed me today was something I never thought was possible when I got here," You spot Leo's smile grow wider, glad to be getting praised for his efforts, then you lazily point at him, "Hey, that doesn't mean that you can slack off now, you dork. Don't forget that there's going to be loud music, bombs, people cheering, ink being thrown around, not to mention communication between teammates that'll make this 100x harder."

You take another glance at each of your teammates. - No. - Your family members.

"...But I can promise that this will be worth it. Every time we train, great progress is shown."

...You sure are good with compliment sandwiches, huh?

You can't promise that you'll win against team Emperor, but you're sure that every minute you spend training will prove helpful on the battlefield.

You're all exhausted from training and just on time. The next big match is going to begin in roughly a half hour. The battle between Team Monarch and Team Yellow-Green. The manga had skipped how much time was spent between important matches on the smaller, less important matches. You allow your family to relax however they so desire while you wait for the match to begin. Leo playing games on his phone, Milo stretching, and Tasha cleaning her weapon.

Soon, it's time to make your way over to Sturgeon Shipyard, biting your inner cheek as you realize how packed the seats are. What you weren't expecting, though, was for a path to seemingly be made as you walked through. You tried to avoid the many pairs of eyes on you. It almost felt like back when you first got here and rose the ranks, but the gazes were much more uncomfortable back then. The whispers paired with them used to be much more curious and sometimes rude. You almost cringed remembering those salty players you had to drown out with your headphones what feels like forever ago. But now; you take a quick look around you, - they almost seem to be staring in awe.

You glance back at your team. You wouldn't say you're standing tall, maybe a more introverted kind of confidence if that makes sense. You're still not a fan of being the center of attention. But looking back at your team- your family- a lot sure has changed.

Once you begin to settle down in your seats, doing your best to take up the least amount of room possible, you catch the way the sea of cehalopods appear to disperse yet again. This time much more obviously. From your position, it isn't too difficult to see who it was, easily spotting purple tentacles above the crowd as the tallest of the group makes his way closer.

Aloha's quick to tug you into a hug before you can sit down, dabbing Leo up before taking a seat behind you. You don't remember them being here to watch this match last time, which is odd to you. Skull's got a lollipop in hand, sitting behind Milo after being instructed by Army to do so. He does so without questioning, as airheaded as ever- but Army has a reason, given the heights of the two inklings. Army takes a seat behind Leo, and Mask - you.

You would have jumped if you hadn't noticed Aloha slowly get closer to you ear, attempting to surprise you.

"Sooo~, how's the training goin'?"

You're about to answer, but the immediate terrified look Leo shoots his way almost makes you snicker.

"Hey, it's not that bad. C'mon now."

Leo once again turns towards Aloha and dramatically grabs his hand with both of his,

"Save us, dude!"

You let out a chuckle at the scene.

"Leo, chill."

His hands shoot up in the air, and his voice cracks as he tries to make his point.

"You blindfolded us!"

"Which isn't that bad!"

He faces Aloha again,

"You have no idea how much pain I'm in."

You gently nudge his side as another chuckle escapes you, shaking your head.

Leo dramatically points to where you gently nudged him,

"See?! Abuse!!!"

Aloha's forced into a fit of giggles as he watched the scene play out before him.

"Oh, can it, dork."

"I think I deserve some sort of reciprocation!"

You sigh and roll your eyes. You rest your chin in your palm. This was most definitely his plan all along.

Aloha leans down once again, this time whispering to Leo. Obviously, you could still hear him;

"Don't worry bro, I'll set something up for you."

You've got no idea what that means, but they dab eachother up again. Whatever makes Leo happy, you suppose.

The match is about to begin, and you hear Goggles blabbing away to his team a few feet in front of you. You ignore it as you pull out a pencil, along with your old manual. You're nearing the end of the pages, and it has clearly done its time by now. But this match is crucial to be taking notes of since you'll get to see a new emotion in Emperor- frustration. As long as it goes as planned, of course. You analyze the stage, zeroing in on the exact spot that Emperor will step foot in yellow-green ink.

Once it begins, a smile filled with pride makes its way across your face. Rider obviously had many, many plans for this battle. It was almost comforting seeing the wide grin he wore all along the match, even when he did lose. He was having fun. It seems you're not the only one who's changed lots since the beginning of the manga. He was so organized right out of the gate, and only once did he falter, and only a little at that. Which lead you to assume his only goal the whole time wasn't to win, because he knew he couldn't- his end goal was to only force Emperor to feel the frustration of stepping in his ink.

Maybe, just maybe, you think: Rider truly did stand a chance at winning against Emperor if he so chose to have that as his end goal. How does that saying go? Shoot for the moon, land among the stars?

"Sir, are we sure this isn't a trap?"

"Skylar's right!" Jungkook chirped in, nodding. Both subordinates leaning forward in their seats. Seokjin sighed seeing their inquiring looks.

"Of course we can't be absolutely sure, but it's very unlikely. There isn't any beneficial reason for them to trap interpol agents. I think I know them well enough and for Kim Taehyung to call and ask me for help, it means they've got a real problem."

Skylar and Jungkook exchanged a look, facing Seokjin again. "And do you know what's exactly the deal? What happened that he revealed their location?"

"He said it's about Park Jimin."

"Wha.. what issue regarding him?"

He motioned to the case file in front of him. Opening it. "Of course take it with a grain of salt, but according to him Jimin is having a severe dissociation. He couldn't exactly tell me why, but apparently he attacked both his partners and attempted to kill Miss Valentine before fleeing."

Jungkook hummed, seemingly confused as his brows furrowed into a deep frown. "But isn't he totally infatuated with her? Why would he kill her?"

"That's exactly the point," Seokjin said, pointing his finger at him, "He wouldn't. In fact, he'd never kill anyone unless it was for self-defense." One of the very few reasons he secretly respected his opponent a lot. "So if Taehyung is saying the truth, there's indeed something very wrong with him."

"Making him quite dangerous," Skylar mumbled absentmindedly with a concerned expression. Glancing up at them. "I mean, if a thief with his abilities turns into an assassin.."

Jungkook's eyes widened, understanding what she was hinting to. A person like this being on the loose would be dangerous. Extremely dangerous.

Seokjin nodded. A deeply worried look spread on his usually soft features. "That'd make him one of the most dangerous men in the world. That's why we've got to catch him before that happens."

"We'll land at the international airport of Havana in approximiately fifteen minutes."

The voice of the captain was heard through the speaker then.Finally. After all, they hadn't had even time to sleep after arresting a wanted identity thief in Montreal before getting the call and instantly boarding the interpol private jet to fly over to the carribbean.

Seokjin directed his attention to his two assistants once more. Closing the files on the table.

"When we land, I want you two to meet with his partners and gather as much information on the situation as possible."

Skylar blinked puzzled. "Shouldn't we arrest them?"

"Not yet. Remember, they were the ones calling us. Our main priority is to find Jimin. After that, arrest them."

She nodded at her superior's orders. Him continuing then, facing Jungkook. "Make sure they won't hold back any details. Meanwhile I'll head to the headquaters and organise everything we know and see if I can find any more clues." He sighed then, looking out at the clouds. The sun would soon rise over the horizon. "I hope we can find him before any damage takes place."

After meeting with the local police force and making sure he hadn't left the country yet, Seokjin coordinated an extensive search all around the city and the main island. Apparently Arabella had last seen him downtown a few hours ago, near the local hospital. So that was served as a starting point. He shouldn't have got too far away in these time period.

They expected the search to be easier than usual considering they, more-or-less, knew his location and it wasn't a metropole. However, they didn't expect it to be this easy.

First Seokjin and his team didn't want to believe the claims of a bewildered police officer at a local police station in the outskirts. Until they shortly arrived there and saw no one but Jimin there. Totally drenched Jimin and not saying a word to anyone. The police officers had immediately reported his appearing to the headquaters, not knowing what else to do with him.

He was simply standing there with dull eyes. Letting Seokjin put the handcuffs around his wrists without any protest. No tricks, no clever line. Nothing.

And Seokjin could instantly see what Taehyung had meant on the phone. This surely wasn't the Park Jimin he knew.

Puzzled and utterly stunned, they brought him to the private jet. The whole police squad escorting them there, just in case it was a bluff after all or he came back to his senses and tried pulling something on them. But he didn't do anything.

No, he was just silently sitting there. Staring down on his lap. Only occasionally grabbing his forehead or shoulder, knitting his brows together in agony as if he was in pain.

The plane fight back was equally as silent. Jungkook and Skylar having fallen asleep right after taking off, both being quite exhausted from the last twenty-four hours. Him snoring quietly while she was drooling on his shoulder.

Seokjin observed them, pitying and envying them at the same time. Both were still so young, maybe too young to have to deal with the often hard life of an interpol agent. However, they also reminded him a lot of himself, back then when he had come fresh out of the academy.

His gaze wandered to Jimin in the dim-lit plane, who just like him wasn't sleeping. Calmly staring outside into the by now dawning sky. His face still expressionless. However, there was also a hint of sadness in it.

This wasn't the first time Seokjin had managed to arrest Jimin. In fact, there had been planty of times over the years they had known each other. This, however, was by far the oddest one. Usually Jimin would've already got rid of the handcuffs and attempted to flee. Or would have said a smug remark at least. However, he hadn't done any of this by now.

Something was very wrong and Seokjin was determined to find out what it was. And who the cause of this was.

Seoul, South Korea

Back in the korean interpol branch Seokjin held open the gate to the cell in the custody block. "Get inside," he ordered, motioning inside with his chin. Jimin did as told, the gate bars closing behind him.

"You know, I should be glad," Seokjin exhaled then while locking it, "I should be glad I caught you without any incidents. But for some reason I can't." Glancing a last time on him, he gave him a sympathetic look. "I don't know what happened to you, but this isn't the master thief I know."

Jimin remained silent, watchim him walk to the guard and giving exact instructions before he left. Leaving him back alone.

He took a seat on the simple bed in the cold grey cell. The throbbing in his head returning, along with a stabbing pain in his side. He groaned quietly, not wanting to gain the guard's attention who had sat at the end of the corridor.

When would these headaches finally stop?

Almost a week passed by like this without him taking any notice.Day and night seeming the same. Time either not passing at all or passing too fast.

Every day Seokjin tried to interrogate him, but Jimin would just sit there. Not saying a word. Not even flinching when hearing all the charges - theft and identity theft in multiple cases. And every day Seokjin would sigh at the failed attempts and bring him back to his cell. Shaking his head lightly.

Wondering if Jimin was also a master actor or if he indeed had become a complete stranger.

And every day Jimin would just lay there on the bed, with his hands folded underneath his head and stare at the white ceiling. Hours and days simply passing by like this.

Occasionally, he'd get one of those painful headaches. Feeling like his brain was melting at the attempt to gain some of his memory back. Single fragments randomly popping up with no context. Images flashing in front of his mind's eye. Accompanied by loud voices, talking across each other. Making him clench his jaw.

Day by day the headaches got worse and the memory fragments longer and clearer. It got especially bad on the sixth day when he saw a 14-year old Taehyung suddenly standing there. Grinning at him from a car's hood. Right after they stole liquor from an illegal transporter.

"The thrill! I love the thrill of it!" he said, holding up a bottle."The thrill huh?" Jimin remembered answering him. "That's the reason I do this, too. The reason I enjoy stealing. It's the thrill and the rush!" Both grinned at each other. "I wanna become a thief, but on my own terms. Not my grandfathers!" Jimin announced then holding his own liquor bottle up. "You wanna join me?"

Taehyung thought for a moment, eventually shrugging. "Sure, why not."

He groaned again, his head was a mess.

"Oh, a samurai!"

"You're quite an idiot, aren't you?" Yoongi said with an unamused expression. The sword's blade lightly poking Jimin's neck. "Samurai were japanese and I'm korean."

"Whatever you are, you're pretty cool," Jimin countered with a wide grin. As if he was oblivious to the situation. Irritating Yoongi even more. "You tried stealing my family's formula for imperious sword blades. I'm afraid you've got to pay for that."

"Pay? You mean stabbing me with that dope sword of yours?" he asked surprised, tapping the blade with his index finger. "That's a pity. I could use someone like you in my team."

Yoongi scoffed. "I'd never want to help a thief anyway."

"Really? Not even if I could help you get the guys arrested who killed your uncle?"

Those memories. They were short glimpses of his past. But still, he began to remember more.

"Park Jimin!" Arabella yelled his name from the lower level of the mansion. Showing off proudly the necklace around her neck before winking at him, blowing him a kiss. "Better luck next time!" "How about I just come get it from you?"

She smirked. Loading her berretta with a makeshift projectile out of her red lipstick. Aiming at him. "Don't even think of it."

He was just standing there at the railing, propping his hands on the metallic bars. Watching her every move without flinching at the shot, the lipstick grazing his cheek. He observed her turn around then. Not even attempting preventing her from running out with the diamonds around her neck. Too mesmerised by her.

And he smiled to himself. "One day I'll steal your heart, Arabella Valentine."

-"You must kill Arabella Valentine."

"Certainly not."

Kir smirked evily. Holding up something between her fingers. "The injection was only a tranquilizer, you know. But this little pill here will either make you submissive to our orders.. or kill you. It's still in the experimental phase. It'll be fun to watch the outcome either way," the woman's voice rang. "So either die or finish the job from back then. Finish off the woman who betrayed you over and over again. Remember Cairo? How she got away with the ruby and let you face authorities? The Indian job? Where she convinced you to give her the golden statue only to rush away on her bike? And I got even more on my list here." Her finger tapping on a file with documents before closing it.

She stood up then, walking towards him. And as he felt his limbs growing weaker and the two buff men having to put more effort in keeping him up, she forced the little blue pill into his mouth. And he wasn't able to do anything against it.

"So how about you finally get your revenge at her for humiliating you? For all the times she betrayed and left you behind. Eliminate her."

"Jimin!" another female voice yelled then. He looked around. Seeing Arabella standing there. Her soft big eyes frowning at him."This isn't your real self." She took her gun out, pointing at him with a disappointed look. "You should know I'm the only person in the world who can claim you." And she shot.

His eyes abruptly opened wide.

He instantly flinched by the dazzling neon light above him and he covered his face. Another groan escaping his lips. This time louder.

The guard, confused about the agonising noises that seemed to be worse and lasting longer than the previous days, quickly called the Seokjin. Asking for orders on how to proceed as the prisoner seemed to be in great pain. It was quite late by now after all.

Most colleagues had left, leaving mostly guards on the night shift there and a few agents who remained to finish off paperwork.

A few minutes later Seokjin appeared, asking the guard to get a doctor in case.

"What's the issue," he asked then, yawning into the palm of his hand. His coat almost slipping from his grip. He had been about to go home when the guard had called him. "You look quite miserable. Worse than any other day. Are you sick?"

"My head, it's my head," Jimin mumbled, burrying his face in his hands more, "They.. they did something."

Seokjin perked up at this. This is the most Jimin had talked ever since he saw him back in the police office in Havana. "Who's 'they'?"

"They.." His voice was weak. "They gave me a pill. It was a woman, Kir. She told me to eliminate Bella."

"A pill? You mean drugs?"

"I don't know."

"And why would they make you eliminate her?"

"She.. she was one of them."

"What?" Seokjin frowned confused. "Who was one of who?"

"Bel-la.. was one of them."

Seokjin hummed as his brows knitted together. That was a detail he hadn't known yet. He instantly called Jungkook who was also still somewhere in the building. "JK? Do a new background check on Arabella Valentine tomorrow. I want every little unimportant info you can find." He was too immersed in the phone call, not noticing Jimin slowly standing up and walking towards him.

Only when the older guy turned around, he saw him suddenly standing right in front of him behind the bars. A clicking noise following. "Sorry, pops," Jimin grinned.

Seokjin's eyes widened and he looked down, seeing his wrist being handcuffed to the bars. "What the-" Jimin had got rid of the handcuffs and instead locked him up as he hadn't been paying attention. Letting his guard down by thinking Jimin still had amnesia. He should've realised he was back to normal when saying 'Bella' instead of 'Arabella'.

Seokjin tried pulling at them in vain. "Park Jimin, you're arrested!"

"I know! You already arrested me after all!" he chuckled amused, grabbing Seokjin's gun out of his holster. "That's why I'm here." He aimed at the gate's lock, shooting a few times before it plopped open. Seokjin taking cover by sliding down to the ground.

As he stepped out, Jimin bent down. Their faces being on the same level. "Fifteen minues. That's all I'm asking for before you call for back-up."

Seokjin laughed under his breath, about to protest when seeing the genuine distress and plead in Jimin's eyes. And considering the fact someone had apparently kidnapped and brainwashed him into killing the woman he loved, Seokjin couldn't help but pity him in a way.

His lips pressed together, eyeing his coat before facing Jimin again. Eventually sighing with a smile.

"Ten minues." His free hand slid inside the pocket. "Be quick and don't make me regret it."

Jimin's lips curled up into a joyful grin. Grabbing Seokjin's coat from the ground and putting it on to pass by any guards or agents unnoticed. "Thanks, pops! You're the best!"

"And stop calling me 'pops'!" Seokjin groaned as Jimin stormed out. "I'm only three years older than you!"

"I know, I know!"

2024 Resolutions

I can't deny the blend of eagerness and trepidation I felt (and feel) at moving to a remote area of Alaska. On the one hand I fear giving in to my isolationist tendencies, using my setting as an excuse. On the other, I'm really looking forward to having time to myself to focus on reading, art, and languages (I'm one cut Internet cable away from complete self-realization/utter insanity).

Complete my Calligrapha journal. Self-explanatory.

Develop steady habits. This is more vague, but there are a host of things, like yoga and embroidery, that I'd like to work on more consistently than I have. I'll certainly have the time for it given my new situation.

Improve my posture. Also self-explanatory.

Read as many of these books as I can, with a goal of 95 total on Goodreads, not including Kirkus reviews:

(I do have a small bookshelf ordered that should be arriving soon to help contain this sprawl.)

To supplement the above desire for sustained habits, I'm also going to try doing themed days/nights:

New Movie Monday. Compensating for what I know will be a complete dearth of motivation on Monday nights, I'm going with a softball that will nevertheless challenge me to consume new (to me) media once a week rather than just watching the same films and shows over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. I may expand this category to include shows.

Translation Tuesday. To work on the above featured stacks of manga and Japanese novels. I considered making going for the N1 in December a resolution, and I would like to start studying for that, but I'm not quite ready to commit myself. Maybe for 2025.

Embroidery Wednesday (there went the alliteration). To give myself a chance to catch up on podcasts/audiobooks, and to allow me time to return to those visual media I'm already well familiar with, as well as actually pick up this hobby again.

Inupiaq Thursday. There's apparently a beginner/intermediate class that meets Thursday nights right next to the library, so I'm going to check that out starting this week. We also have textbooks at the library and other resources.

Artsy Fartsy Friday (yay, the alliteration's back!). I'm back to a planner that leaves a large blank page every week that needs filling up, so I'll end the work week by doing just that with pencil sketches, ink drawings, and other doodles.

Social Saturday. This is my day to chat with family and friends, and there's a fabric arts group that meets the first Saturday of the month that I'd like to try attending. There's apparently also a thrift store that's open on the weekends if I can find a way to get to it.

Salubrious Sunday. Just a day to chill out before the start of the week while taking care of necessary domestic things like meal-planing and prep (laundry will be on Monday because I've already noticed a rush on the washing machine and dryer on weekends). This will also be the day my reviews tend to come due, so definitely a day for reading/writing.

We'll see how pairing resolutions with an ideal weekly schedule goes.

very cute show as you'd expect from a kirara series god it's been so long since I've watched a CGDCT show but it still slaps, as usual, so I'll be looking forward to this cleansing shot for this season also main cast is all newbies, except one of them randomly is aoki shiki which is p funny to me also also, op and ed are good tho op feels like an ed too (it's mikku tho so it's good 🙏)

Frieren Ep6

great ep once again, I know the frieren fight with the demon guy had some sakuga but I certainly didn't expect to see some this ep too it was really good. and also the interactions between fern and stark are p funny they got good chemistry

Undead Unluck Ep2

extremely good ep, might even say it was better than ep 1 like it was just that great. the direction is still great, I especially liked how they lined up the ep title card with andy saying the line and it didn't break up the action much, hope that's a recurring thing tho also hope they're a bit more ambitious with it. it was also pretty funny seeing all the shaft style shots, which makes sense cause there's a buncha old shaft staff in this but still. the sakuga was really good too. also we got both the op and ed and they're both great, visually and musically, tho the OP visuals go hard as hell. anyway next week we're getting gina so I'm very pogged up for my queen yuuki aoi getting to shine for 2 eps

Pokemon Horizons Ep24

pokemon's back from it's 2 week between cours break with a very lore heavy ep which we already knew would be the case from the previews but I expected to get a lil more action near the end. anyway despite being so lore heavy it was mostly about riko's grandma and not the lucius stuff the plot is built around like I expected. wasn't a bad ep tho. next one looks like it'll have a lot of action so that'll be fun. and in 2 or 3 more eps that new gaki girl will get some more screentime which should be good too

Adult Precure Ep2

DON'T YOU HATE BEING RIGHT??? last week I said: "I just hope they have new cure forms as adults instead of transforming into their younger selves." and guess what the hell happened? MAN I'm so mad. and toei only did it to save costs too cause they reused the stock footage from the old show, man this is so disappointing... but the rest of the episode was really good, even the action after the transformation was good (yoshiyama yuu 🙏) I'm just let down they chose to do this instead of giving them new adult cure forms 😔

Imas Million Live Ep2

great episode, as you'd expect from imas, with an especially good performance from shizuka at the audition at the end. also got to see a bunch more girls do stuff, like anna streaming, so that was fun. I was thinking that it's a shame that the show is only 12 eps (despite being cg) cause I wanna see the girls more but then I realized U149 was also just 12 so it should be fine. it's imas anyway so I'll enjoy my time with it while I can

we got to the end of this longish arc but shinohara really fooled me, ofc it wasn't gonna be that easy. I'm not gonna spoil the twist at the end of the chapter but WOW really didn't see that coming. I thought this was nearing the end but I can see it going quite a bit longer now

CORPS X FAMILY (The Beginning)

now, now - listen. with the popularity of spy x family, i thought i would do a bit of a crossover with AOT. this idea came to my mind & i really wanted to entertain the idea of a certain circumstance where erwin and you had to adopt the child. anya is still anya, (mind-reader, loves peanuts) but in the AOT world. all art is created by me as well. this is my female AOT OC i’m using as a (visual) placeholder for the reader. hope you guys like it!

disclaimer: all rights go to the respective owners, studios, creators, writers of both the AOT manga + anime, as well as the SxF manga + anime. there are also some elements/quotes from the shows/manga which i have incorporated into the story so it makes sense/relevant to the story. this crossover is simply for entertainment purposes.

Erwin is set to trial after the Scouts were (falsely) accused for murdering some of the Military Police. He is brought over to “King” Fritz and in some twisted way, they come to the decision to spare his life and retain his position as Commander of the Scouts - under ONE condition: he is to adopt a child. If he cannot take care of a mere child, what hope would humanity have in store under his direction? After the decision, you retrieve Erwin from Capital Mitras and make your way back over to the local orphanage in Trost where there is only one child who awaits.

Part 1: The start of it all

After almost a week long travel back home to Trost after retrieving Erwin back from Sina, you two finally make your way over to the small little orphanage where the future awaits. Although, you never opposed to having a child; you and Erwin had this discussion long ago, that when the time was right you two wanted to have a family of your own. Not only did you feel that it was too soon, it wasn’t the ideal way you two wanted to have a child, considering it had to be done in order for Erwin to avoid execution.

"Y/N." Your husband nudges your arm as you're completely out of focus, feeling your entire body riddle with anxiety as you stand before the main doors. "Are you alright?" Much to your surprise, Erwin seems more optimistic about the entire situation than you are. You’re practically disturbed by his cheerful disposition.

"I-I'm sorry, honey. I'm just a little nervous." You look down to the ground as you twiddle your thumbs, kicking into the dirt.

"Don't be nervous. It's just a child."

"Well, it's not that.. I mean, do you think we'll be good parents? It's a little nerve-wracking that everything lays on the line.. depending on this child's welfare under our care. The moment something goes wrong, you could be--"

"Darling, calm your nerves. Everything will be just fine. This is for the sake of humanity. We can take care of a child. Just think of it as a little soldier."

You couldn't help but snicker. Even in times of strife, Erwin manages to keep calm and reserved, like the true leader he is. "If I catch you giving the kid some ODM gear, I'm kicking your ass."

"Hello, Commander. Captain.” You are immediately welcomed by a gentleman standing by the front desk, who seemed to be the head honcho of this place considering he was dressed more nicely than the other caretakers who passed by. "I'm Ackley Watts, the owner of this orphanage." (i literally used a name generator for this lmfao) He shakes both yours and Erwin's hand. "I did receive word that you were looking to adopt a child under the request of the King. I'm sorry to say, we only have one left, so we don't have much of a variety to provide."

"That's alright. May we meet her?" Erwin nods.

"Right this way."

The orphanage was small and quaint, almost drab looking with how out-of-shape a few things seemed to be. The floor was creaking with every other step you made. A few walls were worn down from what seemed to be water damage. "How long has this kid been here?" You nuzzle next to Erwin as you walk down the main hallway, the feeling of anxiousness creeping back up again.

"She's been here for a few months. We've had children arrive after her who still managed to get adopted before her."

"Hmm, so it's a girl. Is there anything wrong with her?"

"Nothing that we're aware of. She's never posed as a problem. She may just not be.. well, for a lack of a better word, as desirable as the other children. She does look a little off due to her pink hair."

"Pink.. hair?" You were surprised that anyone within these three walls possessed such an odd hair color. Could that be it? Her hair that makes people skip right over her?

"She's quite the unique little girl. She's very smart. Eccentric. You'll like her. Especially when she's warmed up to you." He laughs, taking a stop before the last room at the end of the hallway. "Anya?" He pokes his head through the open door. "Come, let's meet her. Anya, this is Mr. and Mrs. Smith, they're here to see you."

As soon as you enter the room, the pink-haired girl looks over her shoulder, flushed at the sight of both you and Erwin. She was sitting down at a small table, reading a book. "Huh?"

"Hi, Anya." You greet the little girl, who suddenly jumps out of her seat to stand before you like a soldier.

I know these two!! They're the grown-ups of the Scout Regiment!

"Commander Erwin! Captain Y/N!" She screams out, startling both you and Erwin. The Commander only has one arm and the Captain is so pretty..!!

“How did you know who we are?” You’ve never seen Erwin turn so red before.

“The Scouts are awesome! Me and my friends used to talk about them all the time. They’re our heroes and protect us from the Titans.”

“I’m glad to hear you’re a fan.” He chuckled.

"Are you here to recruit me?" There was a tinge of fear in her voice as she retreated back over to her seat.

Hmm, I wonder how old she is.. she has to be at least 4 or 5 years old, but speaks like she's much older.

"I'm six!" She calls out to you. Whoa, what? How did she..?

"Well, Anya.. actually, we're here to adopt you." Erwin kneels down beside her. "We want to, uh, well.."

"We want you to be part of our family. Besides, you're way too young to be in the military." You laugh, standing by Erwin as you rest your hand on his shoulder.

"I see you have a book here. What do you like to read?" The Commander glances over to the table where her book was.

"History. I l love learning about new things!" Her demeanor shifted so quickly - she started jumping up and down, throwing punches in the air as if she was fighting with someone. "Stupid Titans!"

You glance over to Erwin, who seemed quite deep in his thoughts. Hmm, she's certainly smart for her age, but.. we've been here for only a few minutes and she's gone through several mood changes. Deep down, I hope she doesn't end up driving us crazy.

"I-I promise I won't drive you crazy!" You're surprised by her reply. Why did she say that so suddenly, specifically towards Erwin? "I can be a very good, behaved girl."

"We'll be happy to have you, Anya. Would you like to be our daughter?" She certainly is.. eccentric, I'll give her that. But, if this is what it takes to keep Erwin alive, we'll have to commit to this. The fate of humanity is on the brink.

Fate of hu..man..i..ty? How cool! My parents are now.. the Commander and the Captain of the Scout Regiment! Without hesitation, she runs into Erwin's arms, taking him in an embrace. "Can I call you Papa? And you.." She looks over to you with her chin buried in his shoulder. "..Mama?"

You and Erwin nod in agreement, without saying a word as you both come to the conclusion that this decision is final. You have officially adopted Anya as your daughter.

BONUS: how did papa lose his arm?

"Papa?" Anya tugs at Erwin's pants, as you all come to a complete stop before entering the house. "Why do you only have one arm?"

"Hmm, well your mother tore my other arm off." Erwin joked, looking at you with a devious little smirk on his face. "Isn't that right, darling? She said she needed a hand with the dishes and ripped it right off my body." (yes, the dad jokes are starting)

Anya began laughing hysterically, running over to your side as she grabbed your hand. "Mama seems too nice to do that."

That does remind me of the time I did rip off the limbs of a Titan with my own bare hands because I was bored and out of spare blades..

WHAT?! You look down to see Anya running away from you, hiding behind one of the bushes near the front door.

Erwin stared at the door with a blank expression, watching your newly adopted daughter hide in the bushes. "Was my joke really that bad?”

Animation Night 71: Blue Blazes, part 2

Hey everyone! Welcome back to Animation Night! Tonight will be the first Animation Night running on Nausicaa, my newwww computtteeerrrrrr :3333

There's some exciting things coming up on Animation Night. AniObsessive recently wrote a fascinating article on one of the major works of Jiří Trnka, and as soon as I can find a decent quality encode with English subs, we'll be showing that for sure! But for now... I still don't quite have all my usual torrenting systems setup on this computer. So I think I'm going to take the easy out this week and follow up on the thread from last week to watch the rest of Blue Blazes!

So to briefly recap... Blue Blazes (Aoi Honō) is a TV drama based on a semi-fictionalised autobiographical manga by someone who went to university with Anno. Thus it follows Moyuru Honō, a student at the Osaka University of Arts. He's an obsessive manga otaku with a particular thing for Leiji Matsumoto, and lives his life in a constantly bombastic way, swinging from hope to despair in just a moment. Honō convinces himself that he is in a rivalry with Hideaki Anno, who is in fact everything Honō wishes he was - just as much of a huge anime and manga nerd (and obsessive Ultraman fan who is constantly acting out Ultraman-style slow motion when he lies down) but with the real drawing and animation talent. The story follows Honō's struggle to make his name in anime or manga.

The show is driven by Honō's internal monologue, and gets a lot of mileage out of its exaggerated manga-like presentation. But not everyone around Honō is a normie - we have some pretty colourful side characters like future mangaka Kentarō Yano, seen above, president of the manga club and always there to rub in Honō's failures with his full on ojousama laugh. There's also a love triangle between Honō and supportive Tonko on the one hand and athletic Hiromi on the other. Meanwhile... the other strand follows Anno and the circle of friends that will one day form Gainax, with Anno as the ridiculous manga-protagonist type who will sit down a visiting cousin to watch all of Gundam.

What's the interest from an animation perspective? Well, you know I'm interested in early Gainax, but it's also a brilliant sendup of animation school and sakubutas [translator's note: 'sakubuta' is a pejorative term used on the imageboard 2ch for fans who are overly obsessed with animation at the expense of everything else. Sakuga fans have adopted it as a joking term of self-reference] and very dense with nods to the old anime and manga that inspired it. So it's basically a chance to weeb out. Here, someone's broken down all the allusions in the OP...

My manga reading goals for 2023 are pretty ambitious and I'm a slow moody reader, so we'll see how this goes

Some of these are ongoing series I'm keeping up with already/catching up on. Some are titles I'm interested in, so I wanna try them to see if I like them.

I own some of these but I've been living out of a suitcase for about 5+ months now and they're in boxes until I can settle down. So hopefully, that happens soon ;_;

What's everyone planning to read next year?

Also, I'm working really hard on a post about Tenmaku no Jadoogar: A Witch’s Life in Mongol, which I'm hoping to have ready soon-ish! (Edit: It's ready to read here!) Probably my longest and most comprehensive one yet loll. I literally just came back from Iran a few hours ago where I was able to ask some questions I had so I could better write the post.

Hiya! This chapter definitely intrigued me with the design and purpose of the city. Idk how exactly this fits in with current events, but I’m definitely interested in how we went from a well-populated angel civilization with ice cream to just The First doing his mad scientist experiments all alone. Especially since it seems like he’s at the top of the angel hierarchy. I really wish we could get his pov that way he could just tell the audience straight up lmao.

The introduction of the Tower of Babel is really catching my attention. God knows I have extremely limited knowledge on Christian theology, but if the name is not just for shits and giggles, I wonder why it seems like the angels were successful in returning to the heavens. If Irc, the tower being struck down leads to different languages amongst humans. So maybe in this case, it’ll lead to different species of the present??

Idk but I’m really curious to hear what you think about all of this.

Okay! I finally got around to the chapter! Thank you so much for your patience.

So... I'm not entirely sure how to feel about this chapter. We got a little progress so I'm happy about that, but again it felt like a lot of the chapter space was taken up with rehashing the same interactions we've been seeing. Character interactions are nice, and with being a monthly manga, you have the luxury of panel space for them, but it just feels like the last... 5? chapters have had an abundance of them. Still though... we got progress so I'm not really upset with the chapter or anything.

Anywho, yeah! The city was interesting. I actually wish that if we weren't going to get a ton of progress this chapter that we would have at least gotten a better feel for the city. We kinda just got "it's a city, it has ice cream, and there's a building called the Tower of Babel. That's nice, but none of that really gives me much of an impression of the city itself. ...That being said, I'm glad it wasn't just a chapter of exploring the city with no payoff so. You know, maybe I'm just being difficult LOL Quick side note, but sometimes I've wondered how OnS would be as a novel instead and this is one of those moments. In a novel, you can put a few lines of description of the city and let the reader fill in the details, but with a manga, what you see is kinda what you get? Not trying to bash Kagami or Yamamoto at all. It's just a feeling of 'we probably would have gotten a bit more about the city had this been a novel instead of a manga'. Word space in a novel is way less than panel space in a manga after all.

Given that the First is also seemingly revisiting his past memories, maybe we will get some of his perspective on things! I lean towards doubt on that, but I don't think it's impossible. Either way, I'm sure we'll get to see at least a little of what the First was up to back then soon... right? Right?? Lmao please don't make me wrong on this.

I'm in the same boat as you anon and know virtually nothing about Christian theology. When they said Tower of Babel, I just thought "that sure is a Christan thing I recognize the name of" and knew nothing else. Now that you say all that though, that does sound super familiar, so I probably knew that at some point? You bring up a good question though. Thinking back on the other imagery we've gotten, I think nods to Christian theology have been relatively loose, like the trumpets of the apocalypse, so maybe there will be a little bit of that involved? Like maybe the tower will end up falling in this memory and it will lead to humanity coming to exist? They don't seem to exist yet and that makes sense. Just had the thought of what if the Tower of Bable falling is what wiped out the dinosaurs? I think I'd cry laugh. Regardless, I am just as curious as you to see how the name will play into things if it does at all.

At the end of the day, I'd say the chapter was fine. Progress is slow but there's some progress, and the setting is interesting so far, so it's not like I'm not engaged. I just hope for more in the near future. The potential for some really interesting stuff is right there! I want the series to deliver.

Too Many Conventions!

Hello!

Turns out, I'm a liar. If you read last week's blog, I ended it with a whole little plan for the next couple of weeks, completely having forgotten that I'm about to enter the most convention heavy stretch I have all year! This is my last "free" weekend until April pretty much!

A week from today, 2/25, I'll be at the Arizona Comic Book Arts Festival! If you're anywhere near the Phoenix area and want to see me to buy comics or bring your own to get them signed, this is the place to do it! I'll be bringing a pretty chunk of my stock, including stuff from Sonic, Godzilla, and pretty much what's left of my Transformers/Hasbro stock! Maybe this one, maybe in a couple more events like this, I'm going to be running out of Transformers vs. Terminator and Wreckers, so get 'em now while you can! Becca will be there too and you can get us both to sign our little mini-comic, Jimmy Squarefoot! We'll also be bringing copies of a zine we made explaining the issues with AI! And Becca will have a bunch of other stuff at their own table!

There are a bunch of other really great people attending including Elizabeth Brei, Danny Djeljosevic, Mitch Gerads, Steve Rude, John Layman, Henry Barajas, Jay Fotos, Jeff Mariotte, Marcy Rockwell, John Yurcaba, Andrew MacLean, Alexis Zirrit, Meredith McClaren, James Owen, Ryan Cody, Tone Rodriguez, Cecil Castellucci, and so many more! So come on out and see us!

Then, Becca got into WaifuExpo the following weekend, 3/3-3/5! It's going to be a cool little adult (18+) focused con in the Dallas-Fort Worth area! Becca's going to be in the artist's alley and I'm going to be there as their booth babe. I will NOT be bringing any of my stuff, only Becca is tabling (*tho if you are planning to attend and get ahold of me ahead of time, I might be able to pack a few things to give in person). Becca's working very hard on preparation and will have some exclusive stuff for adults debuting there!

Similarly, lots of cool guests including some very notable cosplayers and voice actors and other artists! It also seems like it's going to be a very activity heavy con if that's your jam!

It's also our first time in the DFW area, so if you have recommendations, those would be appreciated!

Then, if everything goes right with the first two cons and I'm still feeling groovy, I am tentatively planning on going up to TFCon LA on 3/10. Again, this is health and finances permitting after two other back-to-back shows, and I am not coming as anything other than an attendee, but if you catch me at Jack Lawrence's table and want me to sign your Wreckers or Alex Milne's table and want me to sign your TF/Terminator or whatever, I'm happy to do so!

And finally, I expect to be attending WonderCon 2023, March 24-26! Again, same deal as TFCon--my availability will depend a little bit on not having gotten sick/burned out from the other shows with only one weekend of "downtime" and I'm going mostly as an attendee, rather than tabling individually or with IDW, but this is the one con where I'll be most open for meetings.

After that, I have to assume that I'll hibernate until the summer! And somewhere around there I'll get back to what I mistakenly proposed last week and do another "Ask Me (Almost) Anything". In the meantime, new posts are going to be coming to the blog, but they'll be a little irregular because they'll be coming in-between shows!

Social Media - I am still primarily on Twitter because that's still where I know the most people and the format I like the best, unfortunately, but you can find me on all my socials here as I continue to try to move away from that site that is less and less functional each day! And, hey, sometimes it still works to reach people like this update on Sonic (it is good and fine and in many languages and countries).

Aradia Beat - The past few weeks, I've been plugging this cool Magical Girl Anthology Magazine that Becca's part of! This morning, the campaign closed and they had just exceeded their second stretch goal! Thanks anyone here who contributed and if you missed out, well... you missed out! No, but give Aradia Collective a follow and they'll be able to tell ya if there'll be any other ways of getting it in the future!

More Magical Girls - Our pals Elizabeth Brei & Danny Djeljosevic and a bunch of their friends are getting close to their goal on their Kickstarter for Sweet Little Resistance, which you should check out! And you can tell them you're psyched for it at AZCAF!

Becca is a busy beean - Somewhere in all this con prep and the many shows we're attending, Becca's also managing regular Patreon updates (and this month, any new sign-ups will have their first pledge go to The Brown Building here in San Diego). They're also open for commissions. And they're now streaming Wednesdays & Saturdays (including tonight, but not when we'll be at shows) on Twitch! I'll usually be there too, moderating the chat and making jokes, playing the soundboard or whatever. You can check out their first stream playing Heartbreak High on their page now! I think the plan is Wednesdays will be games and Saturdays will be art, so come check it out and hang!

Legislative Tracking - Legislators are doubling down on attempting to pass anti-trans bills. Fortunately, some of them are not managing to move forward. Unfortunately, the bad guys keep trying. Here is a legislative tracker for you to keep an eye on and hopefully if anything is happening locally to you (and on the federal level), you're able to reach out to your reps and can tell them to knock that shit off.
