But as they heard u stutter thru an introduction, instead they knew immediately it was you
Sky and Twi seriously teared up, Hyrule/Wild/Four/Wind all attacked you with a hug and excited shrieking, Legend and Wars were just gaping in shock, and Time was just staring at you
It took you a minute to pinpoint who was from what game, but as soon as you figured it out u literally jaw dropped at Time/Wild/Twi/etc.
(The ones that look different from their in game model or way better irl than graphics could ever capture)
U also may have screamed. A very manly scream. Not high pitched at all. You didnt make Legend cover his ears or the four that tackled u scramble off in fear, what- haha
(U cant blame urself, u were in literal shock, bc that's ALL the LINKS??!! Like u needed a shock blanket like rescue/ambulances gives ppl)
After calming down, it wasnt even an outright discussion or decision u could rlly choose,
They were basically kidnapping u along for the ride, also u were there for them (in pretty voice alone but still) for all their adventures,
So u even suggesting leaving u behind bc u couldnt keep up as well as them had them looking at you like they never even considered it
(And also making them individually go thru the 5 stages of grief: 😨😟😡😭🥺🙏🙏 they were all outright begging u, in their own ways, deadass by the end of it)
So as u travel, you get to understand the full impact of Your Voice, or the Guide's Voice™️.
If anyone has a nightmare, what would normally take another hero poking them with a stick and dodging the reflex punch, or them waking up unable to go back to sleep after having the nightmare, etc.
U quickly realized only took you talking to comfort them, with no reflex punch when they woke up, if they woke up, sometimes u were so good at it the nightmare just cleared ended according to their face
In your first battle against the shadow, along with lots of black-blooded monsters, u realized how much more confidently every Link fought as soon as you were speaking from behind them
They got even better and less stressed abt fighting when u managed to crack a few jokes or go toe to toe verbally with the Shadow lol
Legend outright guffawed when you pulled a dumb "sigh... well i guess... maybe... ur mom." joke in response to his villain monologue, like wiping a tear and everything, saying "u used to say that all the time after dumb long evil speeches, its a fucking classic" 💀
Literally will have them asking you to make more jokes bc it makes them feel better in tense situations/battles (most to least frequently: Sky, Wild, Hyrule, Wind, Twi, Time, Wars, Legend, Four) but they love it equally
Okay but,
U have Definitely. Sent chills down their spines when u get into lower ranges lol
U dont understand why everyone needs to talk to you so bad first thing in the morning,
or alternatively why they keep wanting you to go on a rant abt ur fav book/tv show/thing either???
U are always the last for story time at the campfire every night, and unlike the others, they refuse to let you take a night off, u have to say smth every night??
It amazes u they like ur voice so much, huh, Wild/Twi/Wars/Four/Hyrule must all be getting a little too close to the fire, theyre faces are looking a little red/pink
(Legend and Time just look rlly pleased/happy to be here, they only ever look a little overheated when u specifically look at them while ur talking/or tell a story abt them, and they usually are always the ones asking u another question to prompt u to keep going forever)
Wars may or may not have a life changing moment he told u abt ur voice on his adventures where Cia was like, "Ah Link... let me get a good look at you..."

(Theyre the only ones youve not caught actively listening/straining to come closer to hear u... bc theyre behind u lol)
Wild/Sky/Twi all fully whip their heads around fast enough to crack it, then clumsily try to recover so u wont stop
Wild/Sky just fully accidentally like fall into lakes/ponds trying to stay just out of range or even (they both tried it once, and never again after u got onto them) got on a rooftop
And fell. When u got quieter they tried to get closer and- yep.

Twilight.
Twilight's the worst ngl.

Now you know Bakugou. And as fond of the blonde as you may be, your not the type of person to allow violence, ESSP in ur own town outside ur damn office. So you do something about it.
Now he's yelling and cussin all over the place unaware of you standing directly behind him. You don't bother to try gain his attention, instead pressing the cool barrel of your gun to his back.
Even through his thick coat he knows that pressure, that familiar sense is one that's not so easily shaken.
He goes silent, mouth turned up despite the drying sensation in his throat. He lowers his gun, chucking it to the side.
"Took you long enough."
The town goes silent watching as the blonde menace steps down from his makeshift throne while you cuff him. Mind u he's smirking during the whole thing.
Izuku is watching this from the bar, rolling his eye whole you throw Bakugou in his cell.

I am always so jealous of people who have BIG outputs i seriously only think of 1-3 fic ideas per yr i can write something pretty fast but man. I do not have ideas. but WHEN THEY DO HAPPEN TO ME THE IDEAS ARE ALWAYS ENDINGS and then it’s like okay how tooooo create callbacks and painful leadup material FOR those endings
13—what’s a common writing tip that you almost always follow?
I try AND FAIL but i try sooo hard to not write scenes that are longer than they need to be which results in a lot of like 3 paragraph scenes but u can tell when&its sooo boring when u can tell a scene is just getting dragged out so that it doesn’t end abruptly. END THAT THANG WHEN YOU WANT TO i say because if u end it right when u have said all that u wanted to say, then u don’t have to drag urself thru writing boring stuff which makes u think of the overall process as more fun
17—What do you do when writing becomes difficult? (maybe a lack of inspiration or writers block)
one thing that works for me is trying to rewrite the scene swapping in a totally different emotion/vibe than the one I’m currently struggling to write. sometimes its difficult to write a scene bc its tooooo serious and heavy so it can help to write it w a character concealing something or laughing wildly or joking but hiding the bitterness
23—Best writing advice for other writers?
I think 1 thing is that if there’s something you want to say, but can’t find a way that satisfies tou to say it explicitly, you don’t have to say it. If u know it, and u keep it in mind as ur writing, it will come thru. It will be infused.
71—When it comes to more complicated narratives, how do you keep track of outlines, characters, development, timeline.?
I WAS JUST THINKING ABOUT THIS. I can never and will never write a fic more than 8 chapters bc i Will NOT remember what happened in it. So all my stuff is pretty short because i just can’t keep track of length. But almost all of my stories i write because i think of a painful angst ending and im like OK HOW DO I GET THERE i m never able to start at the beginning
75—What scene in [Fanfic Name] took the longest to write? What was difficult about it?
I take sooooo long writing any plot but i also take a long time writing talia i love her but i find her sooo difficult to characterize

I'm a hypersensitive individual, meaning I can take things very seriously, emotionally speaking (I'm not saying I'm crying over everything but oof I sure get depressed.) (And bantering haha) I love giving hugs and headpats to my loved ones and I melt when I receive some (I'm actually very touch-starved...) Nothing makes me happier than seeing them smile so I often go to great lengths to do so, whether it's finding the perfect gift, helping them when they're into trouble, or just finding time for them in my overbooked schedule.
Finally, I exude the energy of a cat. I like to lay around, I'm easily scared/surprised/panicked and I like to mess around my loved ones. I would spend my day sleeping in my bed to wake up at night and bullshit around and spam my friends.

cont. last ramble in the tags
i had orientation for my new job, and like i get it: orientations are supposed to get you... well, oriented, into the kind of job youre doing the expectations and whatnot. it might sound like all sunshine and rainbows, but all the talk about getting into the entertainment industry and making it big.... maybe i am also too starry eyed presently because i'm still navigating my way through unknown terrains in my life rn, but idk. ig i just felt something sorta click for me
my goal in life has always been about "making others happy". i like being able to make others happy, whether its just cracking jokes or just being a friend. by extension, thats also what led me into medicine, but that is more about "caring for others" and you know, sometimes that also requires "unhappy" things in order to care. it's a lot more emotionally draining, and over time, i've also learned i'm also just not really Built for that.
i've mostly flitted my way following expectations to get to medicine, but if i were given a choice, i wouldn't have done it in the first place.
maybe if i hadn't spent a lot of my life so afraid of just being who i am, maybe i would have figured this out sooner. but being an entertainer feels like a step in the right direction of figuring myself out. after all, its all about making others happy and making them enjoy a moment even if brief. and i think thats like the best kind of job for me.
idk. maybe its a silly reflection and all. i mean 3 _ 3 really? you went from medicine to throwing urself into the entertainment business??? but idk. at least the thought kinda makes me happy for now.
maybe that'll change once i'm actually working a bit more, but idk. it felt nice to feel like something Actually Click for me and to get that starry eyed feel rather than to do something and just feel 'this is just what i have to do.'

ok. i didnt mind genloss, it was ranboos first massive project, theyre only 19 and a streamer, ok. but oh my god would it kill to take an improv class. the first 2 episodes felt like an snl skit. especially when it was branded as original and then was just some sort of frankenstein of different horror tropes from ranboos favourite horror media, that just reminded me of snl stealing joel havers skit lmao.
there were so much issues with it and i feel like i wouldnt mind as much if it was branded as a horror comedy a few months before the show, not 3 days before the show. a few months before and the weeks leading up to may 24th, it was branded as "you arent ready for this. this is groundbreaking, nothing will ever be the same after this show. this is serious." etc and then i think it was like 3 days before may 24th there was that fucking showfall media psa that just felt like ranboo saying "oh btw its a comedy" without warning it caught me so off gaurd lmao.
then he streamed after that sfm psa released and, if i remember right, people were asking about it being a horror comedy in chat and ranboo was like "well yeah obviously did u think id make a project 100% serious? no lol" (dont quote me on that though its been a while) now theyre saying gen 0 and gen 2 are going to be completely horror now, but i dont think thats true bc they also said gen 1 was mostly horror and none of it is
speaking of, the advertising was just lies lol. the whole "little to no filler :D" thing. it wasnt like ranboo didnt expect the improv to last that long bc the expected runtimes (from their tumblr post on may 23rd i think) were sometimes longer than the actual ones. 1st ep was meant to be 1-2 hours, it was 1 and a half, so that much filler and standing around going "what the hell man" was PLANNED. they just lied about no filler to make people excited. just be funny and i wont mind the filler. i like sneegs humour in his streams but here he was just bickering with ranboo. same with ranboo to charlie, charlie was the only one making actual jokes so when ranboo and sneeg were alone it was just "wait so why didnt you just-" "well idk i thought u woul-" "well why would i-" and when i tell you it drained my soul.
ive been a massive ranboo fan for about a year (im recovering dw), and after the game theory episode i got really hyperfixated on genloss (up until the sfm keynote thing i think). i was hyped for it back when T_1 was the only thing released for genloss, and followed it all the way up to the streams. i watched them live and my face was just like 😐 I WAS SO DISSAPPOINTED LMAOOO
the box being 18k pissed me off so much bc an experienced filmmaker/writer/director could make something so much better than genloss with just that 18k. i aspire to make my own live action thing one day, and like, hearing them go "oh yeah the box was 18k and jermas face prosthetics were 10k teehee🤪🤪" was just. AAAAA. and the thing is, like the prosthetics were funny, but spending TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS as a BIT from jerma going "what if i took off the mask and it just doesnt look like me lol" then framing urself as jesus christ and a victim. i am so mad.
idk how to feel about ranboo anymore, i used to watch like every 2nd stream for a while but then the whole "GUYS BUY MY MERCH also racism bad MERCH!!!!! BUY!!!!" thing made me rethink lol. the racist and misogynistic undertones in genloss made me so uncomfy, and while im not poc so i cant speak on that, i have enough sense to know that having the only poc in the entire show play evil rats is so tone deaf.
and niki!! i was worried when the teasers were coming out bc every single person shown in it was a white guy (and a white enby), so i was kind of happier when niki showed up, but then she died within the hour to "commentate on misogyny in media". ranboo thought that he was commentating on misogyny by contributing to it. did they think this through at all. i would have LOVED if they did something special with niki and something powerful, but all that happened was she showed up, cried, then died and now ranboo fans are going "ranboo was so real for this!!!". ik niki had control over her characters writing but im sure ranboo was the one who decided when certain characters died and stuff.
also i hate to say this but the mask flashing to signify if he was in control or not was EXACTLY like a thing in the undertale fanfic (sfw im not weird) i wrote when i was 12 💀💀the characters eyes would flash when they were under control bc edgy. it was so weird watching genloss with that in the back of my mind 💀💀💀💀
in conlusion, genloss had so many flaws and so much easy fixes that it just feels so sososososososo rushed. another year in the oven wouldve been ok i think.

i just think it's painful to see bad takes about things you care about. i know it's totally irrelevant to get all worked up over things i can't control, but i can't help but let it off my chest sometimes

Ahhh just yesterday actually. I had a heartfelt talk with another friend and what they said to me made me realize some important stuff about myself, so ofc it got my tearducts running :')

Nope, and i can't rlly see myself having one either until i work myself out and some other stuff

I used to do competitive swimming! For quite a while. Until i had to quit and my body's really out of shape now, but i still love swimming. Idk smth about submerging urself in water is very calming to me (id make jokes that id just swim in rivers cuz i love it that much)

Art! Any kind tbh, but i like painting most

Hmm i feel like i need a good balance of alone time and working with other people, so i think working as a funeral director/in the morgue wouldve been pretty cool (except maybe not sm if smth like the pandemic happened again, cuz then that'd be very stressful). I do love flowers so i'd love to be a florist too!
