(mgv) once house has his and wilson's pup and goes back to work, it becomes clear pretty quickly that he has attachment issues with her. as in, he's overly attached. he's adamantly refusing to hire a sitter, bringing her to work, only putting her down for her naps or if he absolutely must enter a patient's room, in which case he either drops her off with her abba (wilson) [preferred] or the available duckling he trusts most (and from whom he'll yoink her back from the second he can)
the first time i started on this episode, i thought "this could be a better call saul episode.” the wide shots, the clear blue sky, the stillness. i wouldn’t have been surprised if mike ehrmantraut got out of that car
house greets thirteen in a way only friends, only equals could. who else on the team has he gone to such lengths for, gone on a road trip with?
the scene is their relationship in a nutshell: the silence, the knowing who each other is without having to say it or acknowledge it; knowing they are the same in so many ways. (“wilson’s not like us,” remember?)
I haven’t watched this show in a billion years but my brain kind of deletes house the show after broken 1 and 2 and just assumes house has a semi good life after that
