Also I am. Constantly forgetting how fucking funny Hunter is. We never give him enough credit for how funny he is because his life is so fucked up but I swear 90% of his lines are just bit after bit after bit. He's not even trying either. Anytime he actively tries to make a joke it falls flat but if you just put him in a Scenario he'll find a way to be so over invested and yet out of touch/at odds with whatever's going on. He's so autistic

#the owl house #ramblings of a lunatic #i forget hunters character voice A Lot #plus the most recent ep is always whats most clear in my mind (so rn that's ftf) and he's obvs much more angsty in that one #idk ppl credit thanks to them as the first time Hunter was like happy and silly #but i highkey think asias was the prelude to that. like i think the events of that day are so vivid and special to hunter #precisely bc it's the first time he's interacted with witches his age in a non hostile or strained way #it's the first time on screen we see him have fun doing something that isn't deranged #yeah whatever souls are made of his and willows are the same. but more importantly her gus and the rest make him laugh #that's important for the guy canonically having the worst day of his life Every Day #part of why huntlow appealed to me initially was that it was hunters first taste of like. normal teenagedom #not the romance with willow (cause that's barely an undercurrent in asias) but flyer derby and hexside in general #and that's part of why willow and later gus r like. his safe space #and thus why it's so significant that he goes out of his way to protect (keep them safe) too #anyway enough hunter thoughts for tonight. i love him but this isn't my Brand

u know once gus decided jesse was an asset instead of a liability, he enforced the little plastic pill organizer protocol. no more carrying his seizure meds in a reused, half-sealed ziplock bag: jesse is handed one of those fancy med organizers labeled with the days of week and separate compartments for AM and PM meds. everyone in the crew has to have the med strap. they land in mexico and get off the helicopter and gus fring, meth kingpin, hands jesse a pill from his organizer like two girls having an ibuprofen moment together

#Wang YiBo #ji xiang kong #gank your heart #So I adore WYB with my whole heart and JXK is kind of an ass in the beginning #Which I love because it gives us a nice character arc #In fact all of the characters get a character arc which is delightful #And I really liked Wang Zixuan as Qiu Ying. And her bestie played by Rain Lu was hilarious. The storyline with QY’s stepmom killed me #And Pei Xi is head over heels for JXK #but JXK just happens to wear Gu Fang’s RING on a chain for the ENTIRE SHOW #Not Wang YiBo just consistently choosing characters that somehow happen to be a little queer #there's some next level bullying and sabotage that happens in this show and I had to ask my bestie more than once if everything would be ok #Ji Xiang Kong isn’t deranged like Zhai ZhiWei but he is definitely as handsome #I love how driven the mains are. There’s also some interesting commentary on the price of fame and being an idol. Very meta #WYB pours himself into this role the way he does with everything and he’s just so fun to watch #i love him your honor #Youtube

Gus is genuinely the closest I've seen to a charcter with psychosis thats treated as A PERSON. With a life and hobbies and goals, without dehumanizing them or making them seem like some out of control monster that could atttack at any time. And I really dont see it talked about that much....

Peppino pays Gus very well (esp after postgame) so theres no need to have tips. He lets Gus have the jar there anyway, but at the cost of having Pep occasionally come up behind him and catch him conning these poor customers
