Matthew Perry: ✨ Chiron Inner Healing Reading
Tumblr media
Chiron in the 9th House and the sign of Aries @ 6 Degrees
(Virgo Degree) RX
Opposite
Jupiter in the 3rd House and the sign of Libra @ 5 Degrees
(Leo & Fame Degree)
Chiron in Aries in the 9th House: This placement symbolizes deep-seated wounds related to one's identity and philosophical or spiritual beliefs, manifesting through personal crises that demand a reevaluation of personal truths. For Matthew, his lifelong battle with addiction and repeated stints in rehab can be seen as a direct expression of this pain. Aries instills a fighter's spirit, which Matthew certainly had, but it also suggests a tendency towards self-destructive behavior when the energy is misdirected. His struggle was not just with substances but with the very notion of who he was beyond his public persona. This internal conflict was exacerbated by the retrograde motion of Chiron, suggesting a pattern of revisiting and reliving past traumas, continually facing the same demons in slightly different forms.
Tumblr media
The 9th House placement of Chiron indicates that Matthew's journey involved a search for deeper meaning and understanding, a quest that often led him into turbulent waters. His public revelations about feeling disconnected from himself and his experiences during the heights of his fame hint at this search for authenticity in a life that often felt scripted by others. Six Degrees in Aries and its influence here reveals a nuanced diplomacy in how he handled these personal revelations—carefully choosing his words, yet always skirting around a complete and brutal honesty that might have been too raw for both him and his audience.
Opposite Jupiter in Libra in the 3rd House: This placement would typically suggest a gifted communicator with a knack for maintaining relationships and a pleasant social demeanor. However, the opposition to Chiron introduced a profound complexity to this narrative. His charming and witty persona, so beloved by the public, was in many ways a façade that masked the turmoil beneath. Jupiter in Libra seeks balance and often at the cost of personal truth. For Matthew, this meant playing the part of the affable, humorous friend on screen, while off-screen, he grappled with intense personal crises that were at odds with the light-hearted image he projected.
Tumblr media
Five Degrees, a Leo & Fame Degree added an additional layer of complication, enhancing his public visibility just as it magnified his personal struggles. His ability to communicate about his issues did bring him sympathy and support, but it also trapped him in a cycle where his personal pain was a public spectacle, something to be analyzed and discussed by fans and critics alike.
I believe Matthew's childhood wounds involved an environment where his thoughts, ideas, and beliefs were not valued. Where he felt his opinions were less important or overridden by those of others around him. He felt as if he had no voice. Engaging in therapy, especially approaches like psychodynamic therapy or trauma-informed therapy, could have been particularly effective for Matthew Perry in addressing his Chiron in Aries in the 9th House and Jupiter in Libra in the 3rd House configuration. These therapeutic modalities focus on uncovering and healing childhood wounds, which are crucial for understanding the root of adult behaviors and attitudes.
By exploring early memories and experiences, Matthew could have gained deeper insights into how his need for assertive personal expression and his drive for harmonious communication were at odds. This understanding would allow him to work through these conflicts, helping to integrate his personal identity with his public persona in a way that embraced both his assertiveness and his need for balanced relationships. Such therapy would not only aim to heal old wounds but also provide strategies for dealing with new challenges, potentially leading to a more integrated and authentic existence.
Tumblr media
In the end, Matthew Perry's life paints a picture of a man caught between his profound need for real, unvarnished truth and the world's desire to see him as a perennial source of entertainment. His journey was one of immense talent shadowed by equally immense challenges, where every attempt at healing was watched and weighed by an audience that knew him best as a character who could always make them laugh. This duality—the cheerful persona on one side and the troubled, searching soul on the other—created a life of contrasts that were as compelling as they were heartbreaking.

Hi! I don't know if I'm onto smg but I took some notes about the box's poem in The Winchesters, bc I felt like there was something weird in the way it seems to be a direct message to us...
Thought I'd share it here - those are unorganized thoughts, I will maybe go further into it later.
Tumblr media
Follow the path of I toward Heaven
Second spot is four less seven
Find the fourth behind Hells door
Six suns set on the Western floor
I will always lead you there
Ending the darkness that we all fear
What is this referring to? (besides the obvious aka the way to open the box)
• Heaven is where Dean is currently, and maybe he wants to lead us there bc this is ultimately where is the thing he wants to show us
• "The path of I" - the way it implies "I" is a god-like entity, or God, even, who lives in Heaven. Spn has established God = the narrator so what if "I" here is the narrator?
• Imagine if numbers = spn seasons - s4 & s7 - s4 introduced Castiel (ohoh!) and 7 is the whole Leviathan and Godstiel thing, it's when Dean and Cas get sent in Purgatory. So - s4 less s7, means Castiel's arc story without his descent in madness? s7 is known to be the worst season for most - on a meta level: what would've happened if the situation had been different? What spot would they be in if s7 didn't happen ? What if Chuck didn't write it this way? idk
→ it's less like s7 and more like s4 ? will we get the thrill of this 1st meeting? given that TW tells the story of John & Mary's meeting - mirroring Cas/Dean meeting (cf the entrance scene in trailer), it's kind of a retelling of that story - second spot = second show, second story, we're getting back to that s4 moment, w less of s7 nonsense? or w/o s7 Cas & Dean separation?
s7 also first meeting w Charlie who had the other most brutal BYG of the show
Other interesting things abt s7: Dean forgives Cas, Bobby gets hurt, Dean sent back in time, the "facing your fears" episodes, intro of Kevin Tran, Sam haunted by Lucifer, etc...
But the main thing about s7 to me is how it ends w Purgatory AND the fact Cas wasn't planed to be a series regular this season (tvline 20th may 2011 see fr wiki)
• "find the fourth behind Hell's door",wow, if number = season, s4 being sent in Hell, like, the whole Castiel arc being sent to hell bc of the ultimate choices made in last season by writers/Chuck - also s4 starts w Dean in Hell, being raised from Hell by Castiel
• Six suns set on Western floor - idk yet
- Sun: positive, light, warmth
Sunset : Dean driving in sunset
Sun setting: ending of day
- 6, 6 like what? dean + sam + cas + mary + john + jack: family?
6 main chars: Mary, John, Carlos, Latika, Ada, Millie
6 writers ? (which)
obv 6= hexagon (box shape)
Random: 6= Dream Theater, 6th song of second disc Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence: following 6 chars w diff mental illnesses
Aristotle's 6 elements of tragedy : plot (mythos (which means LIE lmao)), character (ethos), diction (lexis) , thought (dianoia), spectacle (scenic effect) (opsis), song (music) (melos)
In religion: seraphs have 6 wings, 6 points of David star, creation in 6 days, is "perfect number"
Also: virgo 6th astroloical western sign, sixth sense, us army radio call sign (rainbow six),
- western, cowboy hats
western: america? Hollywood ? western canada: Vancouver? idk
• I will always lead you there : Dean/Jensen saying "this is where I want this story to go, that's the plan"
• Ending the darkness that we all fear - in text the darkness we all fear is death, pain, suffering, and facing our sins, basically. The poem on a litteral level says tge suns/positive stuff will end death and suffering that demons represent. This much is obvious. You can't end death though, it's a natural thing that's meant to happen. Unless you're in a story and your death has been wrongly written UH OH we got something there ! 👀
• The darkness could very well be the Empty / bad writing / homophobia on a meta level. We all fear it, "we" the audiance, the queer audiance that's been here since s4. We all feared queerbaiting and Cas' death and Dean's death and that's what happened in spn. Jensen / Dean tells us, if he's speaking here, "fear not my gays, all will be well because this fear of yours is over, we're going to fix it, to cast the darkness (death & separation of those chars) away.
Note about the runes in the picture:
- ingwaz/ing (associated with Yngvi/Freyr - fertility god, commands rain and sun light, brother of Freyja goddess of love (and according to me goddess of shipping lol) ) / means protection
- not an original futhark - means energy, maybe a combination of the o and r of a latin version of the futhark / also looks like a reverse fehu + raidō (f and r) - I am not knowledgeable enough to trace its origins.
I am no expert I'm guessing by the look of the letters but go see the Wikipedia page.
In internet esoteric culture it's protection and energy.
Given that we know Richard is returning maybe foreshadowing Loki/Gabriel.
I don't know if it's right I just laid my thoughts randomly, it is not a completed work. The whole thing just sounds like Jensen/Dean talking directly to us about his plan in narrating this story, it makes a clear parallel between John and Mary and Dean and Cas, and also he takes Chuck's place here, in a way, and is going to set the record straight on it all, fix some wrongs, give a new frame of reference for reading spn, you know what I mean? Goes along with the whole "I'm chosing the music"/" the main villain is a DJ", etc, implying Dean is becoming the driver of the whole narrative. It's all very symbolic and I'm really liking the level of meta here.

last song listened to: "Six degrees of inner turbulence" - Dream Theater. Yes, the whole song (it has exactly 42 minutes). Lately, I've been really in the mood for Dream Theater and this is certainly one of the most amazing songs of all times. It's not an easy listen and the subject of the song (bipolar disorder, PTSD, schizophrenia, post-partum depression, autism, and multiple personality disorder) is not light either.
Last show watched: To be honest, I have no idea. Probably, something I tried to watch until it started to give me nightmares - and everything can give me nightmares when depression is hitting me hard.
Currently watching: Hum... technically, I am watching season 4 of Stranger Things, but I only managed to watch one episode. Sadly, I am not in the mood for watching anything - or for doing anything at all. To be honest, I am not in the mood for being alive, let alone to watch anything.
Currently reading: The Illustrious House of Ramires, by Eça de Queiroz. I am really enjoying it, even if I am not reading as fast and as eagerly as I wanted to.
I shall now tag @sunrainsky and... eight more people.

Reflection 9: Picasso's Minotaurmachy and the Jungian Approach
This seminal etching by a younger Picasso is a study in personal iconographic appropriation; it is often agreed upon by scholars that this print-series much informed the artist’s later ‘Guernica’,  as well as other war-centred works, most notably in terms of symbolic and metaphoric imagery that he is well-known for. In regard to Picasso’s personal and/or biographical influences on this work, there is much speculation. It is generally agreed that the work was created during a turbulent and unstable period of his life (Moma, 2024), which was much informed by concerns relating to the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War in 1936, as well as the recent reveal of his mistress’s pregnancy (Marie-Thérèse Walter), causing even further divide and turmoil in his marriage to Olga Khokhlova. The work is a quintessential exemplar of the artist’s surrealist phase, doing much to break logical consistency and the laws of perspective, regardless of the mythological (and hints of religious) subject matter.
A busy scene acted out by a colourful cast of characters unfolds in a frenzy of sketchy, yet organized hatching. It is through this cast of characters by which the Jungain perspective may aid in analysing the work’s ambivalent meaning. Six or so figures (some blend into a jumble of limbs) of alternating age and gender are composed evenly across the page, presenting varying degrees of reminiscence to the company of archetypes that Jung suggested. It is important to note that the archetypes themselves are described by Jung as inherited, collective and - to some extent - culturally dependent inner psychic models or ideals (Kralingen, 2017). Thus, given the highly subjective nature of both the theory and the proposition (that every archetype is subject to each person’s inner psychology), it is inevitable that a highly interpretive approach is unavoidable.
For instance, what can be interpreted as the archetypal ‘mother’ makes her appearance in something resembling the Virgin with Mary Magdalene, who are typically pictured together in religious iconography, owing to their particular closeness within the holy family. This can be seen through the white dove perched at the fore, the primary figure’s veil, and the secondary figures lack thereof – a common way of representing both holy figures in partnership – and the rather elevated position of both, leaving them at the top of a triangular, hierarchical composition. Though Picasso was an avowed atheist, he made regular use of spiritual and traditional religious imagery, similar to Francis Bacon’s abundant use of the crucifixion. Picasso was especially wont to do this in relation to war-related thematic concerns, positioning the role of religion as an actor in the scenery.
Moreover, a minotaur of Ancient Greek mythology hulks over a large area of the work; this can be interpreted as the father, or the anima; an inner expression of masculinity in both sexes, according to Jung. This also coincides with the common usage of the bull as a symbol for masculinity, fecundity, and authority, especially in regard to Spain and its national associations with the imagery.
Other archetypes can be matched with the figures; the disembowled horse may well be the shadow, representing a turbulent and violent subconscious or repressed desire; the animus within the young girl, the female counterpart of the anima, which holds a beaming candle and seemingly threatens the minotaur; or perhaps the wise old man, observable on the immediate left trying to climb out of the painting may represent the departure of reason – a visual metaphor for taking leave of one’s wits. In any case, the work can be interpreted as an interesting, charged, and tense inner map of the psychological state of the artist, who would possibly also have been encouraged by the wave of popularism psycho-analysis attained in the early to mid-twentieth century.

Dream Theater (monografia) Pt. 2
Tumblr media

Which dream theatre song?
Idr the name bc it's part of the concept (half-)album Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence, which explores 6 different mental illnesses from an arguably better perspective than you'd expect, though probably not good enough to recommend to anons on Tumblr. Specifically I was talking about the song about schizophrenia, in which the pov character is institutionalized against his will to "save him from himself" and subjected to cruel and unethical treatments that don't help him at all.
A good album overall!
