Everyones favourite Chateau is finally here!!!!

After a lot of hard work, we have finally finished making our Versailles CC set.

Ever since the Sims 4 first came out me and Anna have always wanted a Versailles CC build set in the game. After learning many new CC creation techniques together over the last few months, we decided to attempt a Versailles set of our own.

Now simmers can build an accurate Version of this very popular and beautiful palace.

This set includes

* Stone Balcony and Gilded balconies with their platforms ( separated )

* Huge Sculpture with the Clock in the middle

* Full Columns in 2 different sizes

* 2 different Wall Columns in 2 sizes

* 2 Types of Shelves for your walls

* 2 Types of stone benches with their pedestals

* Stone Vase decor

* Rooftop railing and pedestal

* Friezes, ornaments, keystone as you see in the pictures

* Front Door with multiple swatches to choose

* 6 Different windows in different sizes and shapes

* Arch in marble

* 2 Types of Niches for the walls

* Marble and stone floor tiles set for the entrance

* Rooftop Windows ( both )

* 3 types of golden chains railing for the rooftop

* Roof tiles matching Versailles

ALL BASE GAME compatible, except for the golden entrance gate that requires Vampires EP

The Choiseul Box, Part 1 The Blue Bedchamber

The Choiseul box set part 1, is based on the blue bedchamber, from the hotel Crozat rue de Richelieu in Paris, that late Louis XV prime minister the duke of Choiseul inhabited during the 1760s. The set is available on early access here

The public release is set from the 3rd of July(in 36 days), however people who DM after a month could get it earlier in their DM. I also did remove the paywalls from the Queen bedchamber and the Queen antechamber that were still in place.

The Queen bedchamber will be partly updated in the future along side the King bedchamber and the updated versions will be publicly available from the beginning. But unlike the King's bedchamber, the Queen's bedchamber update will not cover the whole set, but will be limited to certain pieces which aren't fully accurate, namely certain fabrics and beds(with 5 beds instead of 2) and 1 extra sofa. This decision to update them comes from the fact that I manage to put my hand on various work reports from the national archives giving very detailed descriptions of each of the sculpted "couronnements" ornating the top some of bed canopies that were in that room(namely the one from 1743, the one from 1764, the one from 1769 and the one from 1770)

If you encounter any issues with ones of the items from the set please inform me so I can fix then as soon as possible.

CHÂTEAU DE CLAGNY (WIP) Part 1 - Exteriors

The Château de Clagny was a French country house that stood northeast of the Château de Versailles; it was designed by Jules Hardouin-Mansart for Madame de Montespan between 1674 and 1680. Although among the most important of the private residences designed by this great architect, it was demolished in 1769 after years of neglect.

According to the writings of Madame de Sévigné, it would have cost not less than 2 million livres, and to have kept 1200 workers occupied. André Le Nôtre designed the layout of the gardens. Currently, its appearance can only be traced through the engravings made of it, and scattered references in the archives of the Bâtiments du Roi.

...Suddenly, it's a Palace!

Good morning darlins!

Soooo.... does anyone else begin building something that suddenly takes on a life all its own? I threw down a base structure because ostensibly I wanted to build a test gallery- with a mezzanine and overlooking balconies, and I wanted to test a new vaulted ceiling piece of CC I'd downloaded.... I was just going to test it.... just going to build that central court gallery.... then I started decorating it.... next thing I knew: POW! It's a Palace. 🤣😂 ...I guess this is my next build, lol! Pics below are just the roughed in basic floorplan.

I've uploaded the 3 story gallery mezzanine as a separate build to be added to palaces etc- to the EA Gallery: "Versailles Gallery 3 Fl" my handle: daniandnick.

Growing slowly - Whitehall Palace

So cherry picking from two different designs by Wren and Hawksmoor is as fun as it is frustrating. I guess Jones is here too while Vanbrugh is silently shading influence from a quietly loud corner. Interiors no doubt to be provided by a talented team, especially @stereo-91

The Belvedere Pavilion at Versailles was built for Marie-Antoinette, who made use of the octagonal building as a music room. Under her instructions, the pavilion was designed in the newly popular neoclassical style, with its landscaped garden reflecting the passion for English gardens at the time. The pavilion’s architectural lines show a classical balance of proportion, and its interior reflects a studied refinement with its sculpture and the richness of its paintings. Over the centuries, the interiors and exteriors of the Belvedere suffered from aging materials and lack of maintenance. In recent decades, the exterior was threatened by impaired drainage systems that allowed rain to stream along the façade and reach the lower parts of the building. Moss and lichen grew on the surfaces and some elements of the decorative balustrades were lost. The interior also showed cracks along the walls and on the floor.

The military entry of the heir to the kingdom of Scots, the Duke of Rothsey, at Versailles

Duke Oliver de Rothsey chose the Empire of Francesim to complete his military education. It was with honour that he was personally received by HIM Emperor at Versailles, accompanied by HIH Imperial Prince Louis. The military ceremony was framed by the Cent-Gardes and it was not by chance!

Firstly, because the Cent-Gardes Squadron is His Majesty's elite cavalry corps and the Duke of Rothsey specialises in military cavalry. On the other hand, the Cent-Gardes have their origins in the Scottish Guard of the Kings of Francesim. Since the 15th century, the kings of Francesim had this elite military corps of Scottish origin as their personal guard, a tradition that lasted until the French Revolution and the Restoration. Emperor Napoléon IV, on his enthronement, re-established the Cent-Gardes as his personal protectors.

Made up exclusively of experienced, tall horsemen, the Cent-gardes squadron, heir to the Scottish Guard, escorted the Emperor on horseback during his public appearances, and today guards him and his family in the imperial palaces and during their travels. Their tall stature and brilliant blue and red uniforms give them great prestige.

In the marble courtyard of Versailles, the heir Oliver of the Scots meets the Emperor Napoléon IV. His Royal Highness and His Imperial Highness are both dressed in the prestigious cuirassier armour of the Cent-gardes. The Emperor is dressed as a general of the Cent-gardes.

The Duke of Rothsey is expected to stay in Francesim for several months for his military and scientific training, where he will accompany the Children of Francesim to the Polytechnic School as a prestigious foreign student. His presence will be an opportunity for the French imperial family and the Scottish royal family to consider several projects, agreements and political alliances.

L'Empereur Napoléon IV à son intronisation rétablit les Cent-Gardes comme ses protecteurs personnels.

Constitué exclusivement de cavaliers expérimentés de grande taille, l'escadron des cent-gardes héritier de la garde royale écossaise escorte à cheval l'Empereur dans ses apparitions publiques, et assure aujourd'hui la garde et celle de sa famille dans les palais impériaux et au cours de leurs déplacements. Leur haute stature et leur brillant uniforme bleu et rouge leur confèrent un très grand prestige.

L'héritier Oliver des Scots rencontre l'Empereur Napoléon IV. Son Altesse Royale et Son Altesse Impériale sont toutes deux vêtues des prestigieuses armures de cuirassiers des Cent-Gardes. L'Empereur quant à lui est habillé de l'uniforme de général des Cent-Gardes.

Le duc de Rothsey devrait rester plusieurs mois en Francesim pour sa formation militaire et scientifique, où il accompagnera les Enfants de Francesim à l'école Polytechnique en tant qu'étudiant étranger prestigieux. Me and @annadedanann working NON-STOP over the last month, learning, fixing, and creating a lot of new stuff that historical simmers are going to love. Me and Anna are both very excited to announce that we have completed our second set which is now available!

Each item has been taken from various buildings in Assassin's Creed Unity and redesigned to fit into the Sims 4 as build/buy objects. We hope these items will allow simmers to broaden their creativity and show off their building skills.

Includes 6 Boulle marquetry cabinets or desk based on those made by André-Charles Boulle or Nicolas Sageot between 1690 and 1710. Each of the items features 5 swatches based on exiting historical variations.

The Louis XIV bust featured in the video as well as the other busts are by @thejim07

The folding stools aren't included in this set but will be in my next one.
