Chateau Kitchen in Blue

and the Chateau Solarium Dining

Back to building dreamy kitchens again! This oh so soothing and peaceful kitchen was created using @felixandresims "Chateau" set, and base game.... with just a couple of pieces of other cc. Specifically- the vaulted ceiling is by Regal Sim, and the greenhouse roof is by MincSims

This build was meant to be saved as a single build, but for some reason my usual tricks of removing a wall didn't work, so the two rooms will have to be downloaded individually. On the Gallery: "Chateau Kitchen in Blue", and the "Chateau Solarium Dining", my ID: daniandnick

Ocean Pool Cabins!

(I'm a sucker for pleading requests, lol)

Earlier today I posted a tutorial on how to build a pool, in the ocean, in Sulani- if you missed it, it's HERE

My final comment was to send people off to experiment, and I posted this screenshot of me just being silly, using the Sand Simolean beach lot.

,,,, and I should have known what would come next, lol!!!

......needless to say I've received multiple requests from people to turn my silliness into an actual build to upload to the Gallery- so I did!!

I used only base game, Island Living, and the Cottage living packs and NO Custom content ..... you have no idea how hard it was to not dip into my cc files!!!

As a side note- normally I'd use solid glass windows around the pool "platform" to kinda hide obvious structure below water- but as I was NOT using any CC, I didn't have any windows available that would work. You can see the difference here, now that I've added the windows ( @syboubou SYB Sauna modular glass windows work the absolute BEST for this job!!)

Huge thank you to everyone on Facebook who cheered me on to turn a silly fun creation into a full build :D

EDITED NOTE TO ADD: if you download this build you can change the Lot type to vacation rental!! .......... I love learning something new every day!!!! :D

A Pool.... In the ocean?!?

Yep.... we can (kinda) do that!!

I posted my latest build here yesterday and in several facebook groups and the #1 question I got: "how the hell did you build a pool in the ocean?!?"

So I made step by step instructions:

It's not straight forward and you may have to make a few attempts to get it right, and you can NOT get it right down to the water level, but we can get kinda close.

it's a bit tricky- First you place a flat square- the size of the pool you want- a Flat Square NOT a platform! It's best to place it where the ocean bottom is deepest and relatively flat.

Then "copy" it, and toggle up to the next floor and place it exactly over top of the square below. Sometimes it's easiest to have the camera set for over head view to make sure you have it exactly on top of the first flat square- especially if you're using a more complex shape

Then draw in your pool on the top flat square- the exact size you want because you cannot change it afterwards!

Then on the square with your pool, lower the floor down as far as you can using the "raise/lower" toggle.

You can't lower it completely down to the water level, but usually you can get pretty close!

Now you have a pool in the ocean, and a house .... and they are not connected. (for this post I just picked Lagoon Look to show how to do this). You'll notice that the deck the house is on, and the deck the pool is on are usually at different heights.

So now I want to expand the decks on the house so that it comes within 1 grid square of the pool. I've just added a piece of deck to the main house deck

Now, to tied the two levels together we are simply just going to use stairs!!

You can make the stairs as wide or narrow as you want, add railings, match up the foundations...

....And Wella! You now have a pool in the ocean :D

Experiment!!! You can do all kinds of silly things now!!

No really, that's what this build is called!!

England has been cold, grey, wet and dreary... so I decided to hide out in Sulani for a few days and build my Dream Beach House.

.... go big or go home, right? Modern yet still keeps the Island vibes!!! I even managed to make an ocean pool.... kinda, lol.

Yea.... I'm a sucker

Empathy is a bitch

So, I created a random sim for a new build I was planning, and because I was in a bit of a rush I plopped her down into an empty lot in Henford on bagley, and left her there.....

... after 4 days of loading up that save and immediately seeing her standing in the middle of a field, stomping in a mud puddle, angry, hungry and needing the toilet.... I took pity on her and built her a house, lol. Just a little house, but hopefully with a few comforts and the necessities taken care of.

First thing she did was to stomp into the bathroom and have a huge crap, lol!!!!

So yea.... I'm a sucker. Can't even let my Sims go cold and hungry!

Crystal Clutters Pack

Heeeey people! Crystal Creations came out (bugged as hell) and I loved these bookcases sooo much but it desperately needed changes, atleast for me. The *dust* two colored wood tones needed to go and it surelly needed the ladder for both sides! And so I did that!

I went even further making more swatches and making two swatches for each wood color, one with a version already with books in and one without anything! And also I made some clutters to put on your new bookcases!

Oh and all items in this pack are Base Game Compatible, so you dont need crystal creations to use this.

I hope you enjoy these as much as I do! 📚💛

I have a vision of what I want to build in Sulani.... I can see it so clearly.... but it involves multiple pools interweaving around the house, through the house.....

AND I JUST CAN'T BUILD THE DAMN THING!!!!!

Is there ANY mod that might help with this? Some magical pool placement tool?!? Please someone save my sanity by telling me that there is a magical pool tool out there!!!!!!!

Oh So Heavenly Spa Bathroom

The White & Bright series of rooms continues....

The Heavenly Spa bathroom and dressing room. A large spa bathroom with sunken tub and lounging area is set within an all glass "greenhouse" room. The spa includes a separate bathroom with toilet, bidet and sink, separate shower area with a gloriously large walk in shower, and a dressing area with wardrobes, dresser and dressing table. Stone & Wood.... almost done!

Rustic yet modern!

The interior is all done! I just finished the games/craft room, with mini bar, pool table, painting/art area, and of course I had to include the new jewellery making table from the Crystal Creations pack. And the last room of the build is a carpenters dream: workshop with all the tools anyone could ever want (except for a proper chop saw... can't find any cc for that!).

Now... onto finish the landscaping and exterior!
