My Fair Lady: Late Baroque Era Set
Tumblr media
(no fancy thumbnail this time, sorry) ♫ < baroque music
Please READ ALL OF THIS before downloading. I will not answer an ask if it was answered here. Read.
This is a late 17th-century/early 18th-century Baroque Set. You will get 25 items for women, girls, and toddlers! Towards the bottom, I will give you tips to start a Baroque Era Save (people to find on gallery and men/boy attire).
I would like to thank @the-melancholy-maiden @linzlu @sychik @batsfromwesteros @vintagesimstress @cringeborg @acanthus-sims @stereo-91 and sims 2 creator maya40 for the stuff I've used to make all of this. I'm sure there are more creators but I cannot recall their names off the top of my head. DM me if you see a piece of your mesh here so I can give proper credit. I would also like to thank @belleophile for testing these items for me.
The stuff in this set can work for the late 1660s-early 1710s.
WHAT YOU GET: You will get 3 hat hairs, 1 for each age I listed above, 2 Fontanges for adults that work with the hat slider mod, 4 adult hairs, an adult baroque hair comb piece, 1 adult baroque sash accessory used for court and portraits, 1 ribbon hair piece to go with a hair, and 13 dresses (2 1670s/1660s mantuas, 1 1680s-1710s Habit used for Hunting or Riding, 1 1690s-1710s court dress used for court occasions, 1 1690s-1710s jeweled portrait dress and 1 1660s-1670s portrait dress with sash, and finally 7 1690s-1710s mantuas used for everyday, formal, and seasonal wear. I've included 1 dress for a child and 1 dress for a toddler as well).
SMALL NOTICE ABOUT THE PIECES: The hairline on the hairs will not behave correctly if you have head shape presets on the sim. I've tried fixing that but no luck. If I manage to fix it, I will update it. The Hat Hairs are found in the HAT category and are not compatible with hairs you MUST download the hair files that I'll be including with them. This being said, if you remove sim clothing while they have the hat hair on, it removes the hair override too. It's strange, but just put the hat back on and it should fix. The comb, and ribbon accessory are also found in the hat category. The Sash is found in the GLASSES category. The 1660s-1670s Mantuas are not compatible with shoes, leggings, or socks. I've removed these options in CAS tools so you shouldn't have to worry about clipping. The Barbara 1670s Dress has a sash meshed onto it, and because of this does not behave well with bigger bodies. The same applies to the Henrietta 1670s Dress, as the pearls don't behave with bigger bodies. Same with the Sarah 1670s Dress jewels. The 1690s-1710s Mantuas will have small gaps if the sim is plus-sized. I have tried to fix these issues, but no luck. The hat hair fontange looks a bit gray without reshade or a lighting mod. @northernsiberiawinds has some good lighting mods. Other than that, it's fine. Below, is how it will look white with a lighting mod.

Everything has AT LEAST 20 swatches. Some things have more. There are only a few things that don't have this many swatches.
Here are some pics up close of what you are getting.

BAROQUE SAVE TIPS: These dresses will work for winter, summer, and traveling wear. Just add a fichu for summer wear or a shawl. For winter wear just add some long gloves and a cape. For men's stuff from this era, @stereo-91 has recolored some acanthus outfits which can be found here. I'll show you how they look below. I also recommend going to his gallery (ROTAMETERS91) as he has AMAZING builds for this era. For a little boy, @acanthus-sims has some stuff that can work.

In the early part of the 17th century holdovers from the Tudor period continued to be in style, but soon enough the iconic ruff would evolve into delicate soft and standing lace collars. By the 1620s women's fashion - and by extension their accessories - became a lot more simple. Hats kept growing in size from the previous century, both in width and height. Pearls were HUGELY popular as they were a way to display wealth. In fact, it's hard to find a woman's portrait from this period that doesn't feature pearl jewellery. CC links and reference images under the cut.

Amy's Sims: Remade 10 Years Later! These sims were all originally made by me in the span of 2013-2014.* I think my old simblr is both cute and cringey, but my very limited use of the same 3 facial presets and barely changing them is definitely more on the embarrassing side. Here's Mallory Jones (the mom in my 100 baby challenge), David "Goose" Baroque (one of the 60-something babies), Rachael Williams (spouse of my founder in the Elmore legacy), some guy (he was a baby daddy in the 100BC), Samantha Maldonado (spouse of one of the 60-something babies), and Bryce Calvert (made for a bachelorette challenge). * Mallory's hair and eye color were taken from a sim in The Danevbie Legacy (I was obsessed with this story! <3). Also, Goose was born in-game and his dad was made by @simmonium.

Featherington House
Sorry, this has taken so much longer than expected! While editing my screenshots, I couldn’t help but feel the whole build was lacking.
After rewatching Season 2 of Bridgerton, I expanded this build to include the study as seen in both seasons. I didn’t realize how much green was used in their set design, and I tried hard to stay true to the set design for the interior.
A huge thank you again to the fantastic and talented cc creators @themarblemortal @thejim07 @the-regal-sim @felixandresims @harrie-cc @strangestorytellersims @historicalsimslife @cliffou29 @anachrosims this build would not have been possible!
Click HERE to download the tray files and view the complete cc list used in this build.
Let me know what you think! Happy Simming!

Villiers Goatee (Facial Hair)
Aaaa! My biggest project to date and I actually succeeded!!! A facial hair for male sims, both masculine and feminine frames. 🏳️‍⚧️ It's made from the Cats & Dogs and City Living facial hairs, mesh edited and joined.
471 verts / 772 polys, all LODs. EA match colors using Aveira's gradients. Disabled for random.
Download at SimFileShare.
There's also an accessory for this facial hair, and a skin detail version for all genders.
Update 2023 June 26: Fixed some errors and totally remade the fem frame because I couldn't fix the weights. The fem frame is 477 verts / 776 polys.
Update 2023 June 29: Fixed a missing hair color! Oops! Also added a thumbnail.
ETA: Buckingham's wearing this ruff by @strangestorytellersims.

Petit Trianon The Dining Room ready for christmas dinner.
Louis XV - who dined here for the first time in 1769 - had a very special idea for the dining room. He wanted a mechanism installed that would make it possible to raise a filled dining table through the floor - in this way the royal party could dine in complete privacy without having to worry about being overheard by servants. However, the project was never completed but the first mechanisms for it can still be seen.
From the windows the French Pavilion is right across from the dining room. The décor of the room is less delicate than the rest of the mansion - dark wooden chairs offers a place to sit and the crimson silk curtains hangs at the large windows. The decoration consists of flowers and fruits carved into the panelling (by Honoré Guibert) and adorning the blue chimney (Jacques-Francois Dropsy). These decorations reflects Louis XV's fondness of nature and his desire to bring the lovely gardens into the house as well. Two large mirrors hangs on the walls but not merely for the decoration's sake; the dinners were held by candlelight and the mirrors would reflect the glow and hereby lighting up the room. In front of one of the mirrors (above the chimney) is a pretty, white bust of Marie Antoinette gazing out into the dining room of the retreat she used to inhabit.
A chandelier hangs from the ceiling with crystals hanging underneath the candles. The large paintings depicts mythological gods and characters such as Adonis and Flora. Some of the portraits refers directly to food: the hunting, the harvest and the fishing.

HEY YOU!!!
down here...allow me to present to you:
Tumblr media
Theme song: ♫♫♫!!!!!!!!
As midnight's shroud envelops Auglire castle, its timeworn stones seem to exhale the whispers of a ghastly past.
Tumblr media
The flickering candlelight casts elongated shadows that dance along the walls like moths to flame.
Tumblr media
The air, heavy with the weight of centuries-old secrets, echoes with the ghostly moans of the forsaken.
Tumblr media
Blood has stained the very stones upon which this noble abode stands, each echoing corridor a silent witness to the sins buried in the family's coffers. Even the creaking floorboards tell tales of unspeakable deeds that have seeped into the very essence of the ancestral halls. Curse is the Castle, and damned are the Greys.
You see, there are secrets within the Grey family that have been covered up for generations. Auglire Castle (their oldest estate) was built in 1593.
Tumblr media
It came with a heavy price of the pockets as well as the labor of others. Their money is tainted, like most of the royalty and nobility in Isturia. But there's something different about their fortune. Mysterious circumstances started occurring there in the latter half of the 17th century after the death of the Duchess of Hollow and word soon got out that it was haunted...
This will be my official story (and I'll actually post quite frequently), and I've discontinued my other two. You may ask, why? Well for starters, if you read the first one, 'Those who have gone before me', that was a prequel to the events that were going to lead to this. I have been planning this story meticulously since January. I felt stuck with those who have gone before me, the prequel to this, as it was primarily in the Baroque Era for a good bit. Don't get me wrong, that era is loveliness in itself and I'm actually making a CC set for it right now, but I wanted to make my Regency-era story come to life sooner than later. But don't fear, there will be some Baroque era scenes for flashback purposes. I felt that if I continued my elonged duration of the Baroque Era I'd burn out and lose motivation, and I did for a while! That is why I came up with the concept of 'Amelie and Virginie', some Regency storytelling to fill the void (yes those hats I promised will still be released). It helped a bit, but I longed to be able to tell this story, as I have been planning it forever. So I came to the decision of just starting this one. Allow me to tell you what this will be about :)
Tumblr media
This humongous continent? This is Euriria. It is heavily inspired by Europe during the early 19th century with some slight adjustments. All of my stories will essentially use this map as I like the country names I've come up with. If you read the country names, you can tell exactly which each one is based on (and if you know your geography well too). Now, let's discuss the country of Great Bremson. Great Bremson is obviously inspired by Great Britain, and Isturia is inspired by England. My story will take place in Isturia, and many of its cities! Allow me to show you the aesthetics of the 6 main cities displayed in my story out of the hundreds you'll hear about:

well, since I said this is set in the regency era, who is the protagonist??!? glad you asked
Tumblr media
Meet Aurelia (uhh-reel-ee-uh) Jane Charlotte Grey. Born July 8th, 1798, she is the 3rd daughter of the current Duke and Duchess of Hollow. Her father is one of the most (if not the most) powerful nonroyal Dukes in Isturia. She is a few weeks shy of her 20th birthday when our story unfolds. Throughout this story, we will follow her throughout her life along with her siblings, her children, etc. until she dies! Aurelia is half Isturian but also half Incubinian (Based on Haiti but my other worldly maps aren't done). When her father marries her mother, ALL of Isturia talks about the marriage. Of course, slavery ended in Isturia in 1602, but most native Isturians married other native Isturians, not anyone else. In fact, Incubinians didn’t have the same rights as Isturians until 1679 (all except marrying someone of Isturian blood). In 1750, the law that had prevented Incubinians from marrying Isturians was lifted, so this wasn't an entirely new concept. Aurelia's identity is something that she struggles with a lot, but I won't go into that much detail with that just yet. Aurelia soon begins to believe the rumors circulating about her family after a traumatic event happens in 1807 which leads her to believe she is damned. Will Aurelia ever discover the truth of her family's past? Will she ever become secure in herself and her identity? Are the Greys truly damned and doomed or is it superstition? Find out and see. Here is the Family tree and the character page coming soon

The Baroque period saw a softening of women's fashion, with the silhouette becoming fuller and higher waisted. Leg-o-mutton and three quarter sleeves added a billowy upper half to dresses. Shimmering soft satins and tonnes of delicate lace trimmings were all the rage. Necklines continued to broaden, eventually even falling off the shoulders in some styles.
