We fell in love in October
Alexia Putellas x fem!reader
A/N: this was going to be an Ona fic, but when I discovered this picture of lex, I couldn’t help myself 🤍
i brought back diego for this fic, he is too cute not to, and y/n + diego are besties in every universe :)
Tumblr media
You were not happy that you were coming into work today, after working a full day yesterday, crammed with people only seeming to be ordering pumpkin spiced lattes with the now colder autumn days.
You loved your job, working in a small cafe in Barcelona whilst you completed your studies, seeing your favourite regulars each day, and the perk of being able to make yourself a coffee whenever you would like.
It wasn’t unheard of for new customers to come in, however it was extremely rare. The cafe was tucked away in the depths of Barcelona, reserved for locals who new the area extremely well.
One of your favourite regulars was a tall, heavily tattooed, blonde woman, who often came in each morning in a Barcelona training kit, wanting a latte.
At first, you had joked that she was a big fan of Barcelona, thinking her matching kit was quite extreme for a fan, however you later learnt to your surprise that she was on the team, which she still teased you about to this day.
Your co-worker Diego, a massive football fan, still fawned over Mapi each day she came in, until one day you couldn’t stand his shyness and instead asked the question that always lingered on the tip of his tongue.
“Diego wants to know when you will bring some other footballers Mapi”, this statement received a smack to your arm from said co-worker, who had blushed crimson red.
“I’m a big fan, okay?” Diego justified himself.
Except Mapi only chuckled and explained she liked having her “own” coffee shop hidden away, and didn’t like sharing with her teammates.
You and Diego left it there, understanding people like their own secret pleasures, Mapi’s being the staple in her daily routine, of visiting you two and ordering a latte.
———————————————————————
You had forgotten about the conversation with Mapi, until two weeks later, she walked through the door at her usual time, you and Diego had already pre-prepared her drink, except for this time, a blonde woman, also in her training kit, followed her into the cafe.
The moment you and Diego both saw Alexia, you both stood there dumbfounded for a second, completely forgetting Mapi’s drink.
Diego was shocked because as a loyal football fan, he obviously knew who Alexia Putellas was, it was hard not to, internally he was fangirling.
You however, thought Mapi’s teammate was beautiful, her smile, her eyes, her muscles.
You broke out of your trance first, handed Mapi her drink, whilst asking “Would your friend like anything?”
The girl spoke up “a latte aswell please”
When you asked for a name for her order, she froze for a second, the majority of people in Barcelona knew who she was, with her infamous nickname “Reina”
Mapi chuckled and muttered
“Ella es inglesa, y no es fanática del fútbol” (She’s English and not a football fan)
You, having moved from England for your studies only a year ago, had no clue what they were saying rapidly in their heavily accented Spanish.
Diego however, heard and laughed with them “She’s called Alexia chica, do you not know the footballer”
“I’m sure if I knew, then I would not be asking, would I? Idiota!” You replied whilst scribbling down the name on the cup, as Diego feigned a look of hurt as he prepared Alexia’s drink.
“Si Diego, deja en paz a mi barista favorito!” Mapi said (Yes Diego, leave my favourite barista alone!)
“I don’t know what Maps said, but I agree with her” which earned a grin from Mapi, as you handed Alexia’s drink to her.
“Pasarlo bien” (enjoy)
“Gracias y/n” Alexia replied with a soft smile, as her eyes lingered on your name tag.
“Adios chicos! See you tomorrow” Mapi shouted as she left the shop.
“Adios Mapi, and Alexia!” You and Diego shouted.
As soon as the door shut, Diego squealed in excitement, “you like her! You have a crush on Alexia Putellas!”
“Shut up Diego! No I do not”
“Ay! Do not fret chica, I saw she was eyeing you up too!”
“Don’t be silly Diego! Now hurry you have to prepare Val’s drink, she comes in soon!”
Although Diego left his teasing there, it didn’t stop for the next few weeks when Alexia accompanied Mapi each morning, and both you and Alexia constantly flirted with each other, but neither making the first move.
Until one morning Alexia didn’t come in with Mapi, and the regular explained how Alexia had to go in earlier today, but how she was going to call in later after training at around 3 o’clock.
Until at 3pm, just as Mapi said, your favourite blonde stepped through the door.
“Bon día, my favourite customer!” you said, earning a smile from Alexia, she usually complimented your improving Spanish, which always no doubt brought a blush to your cheeks.
“Hola y/n! Can I have a-“
“A latte? It’s already finished Ale” you said, sliding her drink towards her, the use of her nickname falling from your lips made the midfielders cheeks flush pink.
“Thankyou cari, tastes as amazing as always” Alexia had recently been using the term of endearment for you, the first time you head it, you choked on your latte, making Diego and Mapi let out a boisterous laugh.
“Can I get you anything else lexia?” You asked.
“Your number.” The blunt statement caught you off guard, did you hear that right?
The girl you had been pining over for the last month wanted your number?
Alexia mistook the silence as rejectment, and turned to leave muttering a soft “lo siento”
“Ale! Wait!” Which made the Spaniard turn back round, a glint of hope sparking in her eyes.
You grabbed a napkin and scribbled down your number, adding a heart on the end and handing it to the blonde, who looked like an excited puppy.
“Call me?”
“Why else would I want your number cari?”
You blushed at the obvious statement, shrugged your shoulders, and the previous adrenaline high you received from Alexia asking for your number, pushed you to lean over the counter and kiss the blonde’s cheek, making her in turn blush.
“See you tomorrow?” The blonde hesitantly asked.
“Diego missed you.” You stated.
“If I gave you both tickets for the upcoming match, would you go?” The blonde asked uncertainly.
“To cheer you on? Obviously ale.”
The Spaniard grinned happily at your answer, said goodbye, and left.
The same night, you received two e-mail tickets for the upcoming Barcelona match.
When you told Diego, to say he was excited was an understatement.
You however, was only excited to see where your new future with Alexia would take you.

Alexia Putellas x fem!reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Hi, I’m Kelley O'Hara, and this is one v one. Today I am joined by former NWSL player who now plays for Barcelona and the USWNT, Y/n Y/l/n!” Kelley does jazzy hands towards you while you smile and wave at one of the many cameras pointed at the two of you.
Both you and Alexia decided to take a trip to the states so you could see all of your friends and family and so Alexia could take a break from all the press who followed her around. You both share an apartment in New York in case you’re ever in the US and, obviously, a house in Spain. Kelley asked if you’d be okay with doing one of the interviews she conducts with Just Women’s Sports, and of course, you said yes. You’ve missed her since the World Cup ended, so who were you to say no? Alexia decided to stay back and rest for a bit while you went.
You’re now seated in front of multiple cameras with a few crew members and beside Kelley. The room you’re in is nice and calm, and the window behind you allows the natural light to peek its way in.
“Now, getting straight into it, I introduced you as Y/n Y/l/n, but soon you won’t have that name,” Kelley smirks with a teasing eyebrow while you blush and fiddle with the ring on your finger. “Seeing as your lover, aka the goat of soccer, aka la reina, aka Alexia Putellas, proposed to you a couple of months ago.”
You laugh at the multiple names the brunette presents your fiancé with. “First of all, Alexia is going to be mad at you for calling it soccer and her la reina. Second, yes, my name will very soon be legally changed.” Kelley starts applauding with a bright smile on her face.
“I can’t believe two of my teammates are going to be married to basically the two best female soccer players ever! Mrs. and Mrs. Putellas, then Mrs. Kerr and Mrs. Mewis.” You nod excitedly, hoping for your wedding to approach sooner.
“I remember when you came up to me and Kristie, explaining to us how we couldn’t talk to our fiancé’s about our game plans.” The defender laughs and nods her head, remembering how offended both of you looked. “Me and Kristie are still mad at you for not trusting us.”
Kelley puts her hands in fake surrender before going on to explain. "Well, a couple of us were thinking about how you two are with the enemy, and one of us just had to make sure.”
“A couple of you?” You shout in disbelief, making her look at the camera with a worried face. “Nope, cut the cameras. Interview is off!” You joke as you make it look like you’re taking off your mic. The crew chuckles at your guy’s antics and shakes their heads.
After several minutes of talking about why you moved to Barca and how you’ve been over there, you are now down to the last discussion.
“As we all know, you’re with Alexia Putellas, as previously mentioned. A lot of fans want to know how the it couple met.” Kelley’s legs are crisscrossed on the chair while she faces you. “I mean, I already know the story, but gotta give the fans what they want.”
Thinking back, it was a cute little story. A couple of Spanish players were in the states for whatever reason, most likely for conferences, and you didn’t have anything to do that day.
“Well, we all know my bestest friend is the one and only Christen Press, and she’s also friends with the amazing Jenni Hermoso. So when word got around they were in town, everyone set plans to go to this nice club and essentially hang out. I specifically remember after Chris and Tobin dragged me with them when we got there and sat in the round booths, both Jenni and Chris forced me and Alexia in the middle to sit next to each other. We got to talking, and eventually, we went on a couple of dates until Jenni and Christen finally admitted they had been trying to set us up.”
Most of what you say is true, but you leave out some parts to keep it PG. After you both got extremely drunk, Alexia dragged you to her hotel room, where you both had an unrestful night. The next morning, she did explain how she’d love to take you on a date, to which you said yes, and now you’re happily engaged. After you two were together for around a year and a half, Barca had an offer for you, which you quickly accepted. Everyone adored how you moved to the club with your fiancé.
Kelley’s head rests on her hand as she stares at you in a complete trance. “Tell me more.”
You laugh at her words and say, “Umm, oh! Now Christen is my maid of honor for our wedding, and Jenni is Alexia’s. Mapi was not happy about being knocked down to just a bridesmaid or groomsman, whatever you want to call it.”
“I’m a little offended that I wasn't offered the position of maid of honor.” The brunette places a hand on her heart in fake hurt, making you roll your eyes.
“You’re literally one of my bridesmaids. I can just put you as a guest if you want."
“No! No, I’m cool with bridesmaids.”
Once the interview was done, you and Kelley hung out for a little bit to catch up. After a while, she offered you a ride back to your apartment, which you gladly accepted.
Alexia is sitting on the couch with Nala in her lap when she hears the fiddle of keys in the doorway. The pomeranian jumps up from her lap and over towards the place where you now stand. You crouch down and pet through her fur.
“Hey, baby.”
“Hola, mi amor.” Alexia makes her way over to you and pecks you on the lips.
“I was actually talking to this one.” You gesture to the dog that’s now panting in your arms. The taller girl glares at you and takes Nala from your arms before beginning to walk away. “No no no no no, I’m sorry, I’m sorry.” You say as you press multiple kisses on her lips.
“That’s what I thought.” She mumbles against you and sets the ball of fluff on the ground. Her hands grab onto your hips, pulling you in, and start to wrap around your waist. She nuzzles her face in the crook of your neck while placing feather-like kisses on your skin. “I’ve missed you.”
You wrap your arms back around her, feeling all of your tension go away. “Awe, I’ve missed you too, baby. I know I’ve only been gone for a few hours, but it felt like years.” Your voice is muffled by your face being pressed against her chest.
“I’m glad you decided to sleep with the enemy.” You pull back from the embrace and notice her little smirk.
“You saw the interview, huh?”
The Spanish player nods before hooking her arm behind your legs and lifting you up. “Now, I have been patiently waiting for you to get home so I can get my daily cuddles.”
She struts off into your bedroom and throws you, not so gently, on the bed. Cutting off your complaining, she jumps on top of you, hugging your body and resting her head on your stomach. You shake her head with a smile on your face and begin to run your fingers through her faded pink hair. Her head slowly rises and falls due to your breathing, but it still lulls her right to sleep. Nala jumps beside you and also rests her head on your chest, causing you to smile softly and run your other hand through her fur. There is no other place you’d rather be than with your two favorite girls sleeping on top of you.

YOU WANT MY AUTOGRAPH TOO?; ana crnogorčević x fem!reader
Summary: in which ana and reader meet thanks to reader's niece.
Warnings: fluff.
Note: English is not my first language.
Tumblr media
not my gif.
Y/N never been in a football match. She actually it's not a big fan of this sport. But it change when Sara, Y/N's niece, is involved in this sport.
Sara since she was little, she showed interest in it, always with a ball in her feet. So when she could, her mother, Y/N's sister, signed her up for football. Since there, Sara was very invested in woman's football, teaching everyone by her side, who is who. Especially her aunt Y/N, who was a denied at it, but always with a smile in her face every time Sara said something related to it.
Well, imagine when Y/N's sister said her that she needed take Sara that weekend to Johan Cruyff to see Sara's favorite team play. Y/N whined, complaining that Sara goes to a lot of matches and if she didn't go that weekend, nothing was going to happen. But with a hard look for part of her sister, Y/N quiet down.
So right now, Y/N had her sunglasses on while Sara and her are watching how both teams are doing warms up. Sara is very excited and hyperactive telling to her aunt everything Barcelona it's making that season. Even if Y/N didn't want be there that Saturday in the 12:00 AM, it's worthy when she heard to her niece rant adorably about all of them.
They are near of the barrier, allowing them a perfect sight of the players. Sara has on the kit of her favorite player, Y/N doesn't remember very well the name, but surely Sara repeated it a lot and Y/N forget because she isn't good with names. When the players go inside and they come back after of some minutes, Y/N choose the kit that Sara was wearing and not that ugly kit. But she remained quiet because probably Sara could looks at her bad for expressing this, even if Y/N have right on it.
If it wasn't for Sara, Y/N would be asleep in the moment that the match started, but Sara was cheering or chanting some name of some player and jumping in her spot.
"YEEEES! AUNTIE, SHE SCORED! ANOTHER GOAL FROM LA REINA." Sara shouted when the number eleven scored the first goal of the match. Y/N clapped, smiling to Sara when she started explain a little about the player that scored.
The minutes started fly, they watching every play that the local team was creating. Until in the 44th minute, all the public started yell because the rival player made a foul to a Barcelona player, Sara indignantly began shout in Catalan, something she does a lot when she is mad.
"Encara sort que l'arbitra estava a prop, si no no xiula penal!" Sara exclaimed, Y/N chuckle at this. It's funny when her niece get mad during at match football.
Y/N watches how the number six, she could read up Pina, stood up with the help of another teammate while the woman who scored before, grabs the ball and positioned it in a circle not too far away from the goal.
Sara turned towards her aunt and saw her confused face, she let out a giggle. "She is going to throw the penalty." She explained, seeing how Y/N's face lit up with the mention of penalty, recognizing that word. Once again Sara celebrated it, screaming happily while she is clapping.
The referee indicate that the first half finished, allowing the players come back inside. Y/N saw how some people, mainly kids and teenagers showed up their hands to the players to shake and actually some of them shakes it. To Y/N was shocking see it, but was happy that the players take care of their supporters.
In the meantime, Y/N and Sara talked about where like to go to lunch after the match finished. After they talked a little more about Sara next match to play, making her happy when Y/N said that she will going since it was day off from her work.
Y/N saw how some players from Barcelona get out again, running and warming up. She let out a sigh, wishing that it finish soon. Then she noted something hit her arm, Y/N turned to where it came, seeing Sara's face, who looked between mad and funny.
"What?" Y/N asks her confused.
"You sighed. I know what that sigh means." Sara said, crossing her arms, making her point.
Y/N rolled her eyes with a smile. "Sorry, kiddo. But you know that this sport, it's not my thing." This time Y/N saw how Sara rolled her eyes, making her laugh. She passed an arm around Sara's shoulders. "Come on, don't be mad at me."
"Callat, que començarà la segona part." Sara muttered still with her arms crossed. Y/N tickles her side when she heard that Sara answered her in Catalan. The young girl let out a squeal and tried push off Y/N's hands while she is laughing.
"Auntie stop!" Sara exclaimed with some tears rolling for her cheeks from laughing too much. Y/N stopped, passing her arm that she passed before from her shoulders. She saw how Sara wiped her tears and her breath come back to normal, a playful smile remained in her face.
They continued to watch the second half, some more goals this time from different players, some subs too. Sara explaining briefly from where they are or what team they played. Sara, just like the rest of the public, clapped when every player get sub off, clapping too for the players that was their turn to play.
After saw their recital of goals, the referee whistle the final. It was the first time that Y/N clapped eagerly. For request of Sara, they stayed until the players get inside. Y/N sat down again while Sara stood up with her arms in the barrier, her head in top of her hands. For Y/N's surprise, again, she saw how some players greeted to her niece.
"So they are your friends?" Y/N asked at her, curious.
Sara turned around to look at her, and smiling she shrugged her shoulders and turned around again, coming back to her original position.
"Hi, Sara! How are you?" A tall brunette woman came, putting herself in front of the girl.
"Hi, Jenni! I'm good. How are you? By the way, you played amazing." To Y/N, sometimes get impressed by her niece, she acts mature for her age.
Jenni, like her niece called, let out a soft chuckle. "I'm good. And thank you, I hope you enjoyed it."
"Hey, Sara." Another player came, she stopped to Jenni's side. Y/N recognize her for score the first goal. The player extended her hand to Sara, and the girl did the same, bumping their fist.
"Hi, Alexia!" Sara greeted her happily.
"Tomorrow you will play, right?" Alexia asked her, with interest.
"Yeah. I'll hope so." Sara said shyly. Alexia give her a reassuring smile. But soon her gesture changed and started look to the stands.
"Are you alone?" Alexia asked worried, getting close to Sara.
"No, I am with my auntie." Sara said, signaling with her hand her aunt.
Y/N and Alexia gazes collided. Y/N blushed when Alexia's intense gaze fell in her.
"So you are the famous auntie Y/N." Jenni said with a smile, approaching Alexia. Y/N smiled, nodding with her head.
"I guess that's me." Y/N said, standing up and going next to her niece.
"I hope you don't get bored, I know you don't like it." Alexia teased her, extending a hand towards Y/N. This one blushed more, but accept it and they shake their hands briefly.
"Well, Sara didn't stop talking, so that's help." Y/N teased back, earning from her niece a nudge in her leg, making Jenni and Alexia laugh.
"Thank you for coming." Alexia said genuinely.
Y/N shrugged her shoulders. "Anything for this little bug." Y/N said honestly. Alexia gave her a big smile, nodding towards her. It's weird, Y/N felt like if Alexia is proud of her even if they don't meet properly.
"Hiiii, Sarita!!" A new voice said, the tall blonde came and jumps the barrier and hugs Sara.
Y/N looks at her with interest. First she noticed that she isn't Spanish and second she liked her accent.
"Hii, Ana!" Sara said while the other grabs her, allowing Sara to wrap her legs around her waist.
How lucky Sara is.
The blonde puts down the girl, playfully ruffling her hair. Sara whined softly, pushing her hand away. Then Ana raised her head, founding a new face that she never saw before.
"Who are you?" Ana asked at her, interested.
"I'm Y/N. I heard that I'm famous here." Y/N said, biting her lower lip nervously. She could heard how Alexia and Jenni snorted. Ana made a gesture, opening her eyes and mouth while she signaled her with her index finger.
"Yes, you are! Finally, Sara can't stop talk about her favorite person. After Aitana of course." Ana said excited, muttering the last part while she approached Y/N and hugs her.
"Oh, you are hugging me! Cool, very cool..." Y/N rambled out. Another snort was heard, this time for Sara part. Y/N looks at her, seeing Sara's raised eyebrows towards her playfully.
"I'm sorry. I guess I like hugs..." Ana said, separating herself from Y/N, scratching her neck.
"It's okay." Y/N muttered, smiling softly.
"Auntie." Sara called her attention. "Sorry to interrupt but I'm hungry."
Y/N looked to the two who are down watching all the interaction, and for their faces, they are entertained. She looked at Ana again, seeing that she was smiling towards her.
"Okay. Then said bye." Y/N said.
"Bye, girls! See you Wednesday." Sara let them know.
"Bye Sara. Good luck tomorrow." Alexia wished her, smiling. "Bye Y/N. See you soon." She said, smiling but not like before, it was more like... mischievous?
"See you...?" Y/N said at them, confused.
She looked at Ana one last time, hoping that she will see her soon.
•••
The next day Y/N drove to the stadium where her niece will play that morning. She parked her car and went inside of the stadium, going to where her sister and brother-in-law were.
"Hello! Sorry to come late. I let myself sleep." Y/N apologies.
"Don't worry. You just came in time." Her sister reassured her.
Y/N sat down next to her sister, breathing irregular. She saw how two groups of young girls get out. When they put themselves in horizontal, Sara wave her hand with energy to her aunt, a big smile plastered in her face.
"You make her very happy." Someone behind Y/N comments. Y/N jumps in the spot, really scared. The person in question let out a soft giggle. Y/N looked behind her. "Good morning sleepyhead." Ana greeted her, smirking.
"Hi? What are you doing here?" Y/N asked her curious.
"I'm here to watch my friend play." Ana simply said, signaling with her head the pitch.
Y/N frown. "But you are a player. A famous player." She said, like it was obvious.
"And? Can I come here?" Ana teased her.
"Yeah, yes. But it's weird..." Y/N muttered, turning around when she heard Ana snorted funnily.
Y/N's sister turned towards her and raised an eyebrow, Y/N just rolled her eyes, focusing her gaze in the pitch where the match was going to start.
Y/N's normal mood towards this sport transforms when her niece is involved. Yesterday, she was chill while she saw Sara complaining and support their idols. But today, Y/N was like Sara. Y/N was shouting and supporting her niece, even if she didn't understands very well the rules.
Y/N turned towards Ana again, the blonde looks at her with curiosity. "Since you know a lot about football... What position is she playing in?"
"Defensive midfielder." Ana said smirking.
Y/N nods. "Thank you."
"You're welcome." The tall woman said.
The first half finished, letting Y/N breath a little before the second half started.
"Yesterday I don't see you like that..." Ana comments after a while. Y/N raised her head from her phone.
"Well, when my niece play for your team, you would see it." Y/N comments back in the same mock tone of Ana.
"Good point." The blonde said. Y/N shrugged her shoulders.
"Where are you from?" Y/N asks her curiously, because it's true that Ana speaks very well Spanish.
"Switzerland." Y/N nods enthusiastically.
"Cool. You speak Spanish very well." Y/N compliments her, blushing and moving her gaze to her, now, black screen.
"Thanks. Sometimes I felt insecure about it, but my teammates help me a lot and reassured me." Ana said, smiling softly when Y/N looked at her. "Do you know any other language?" Ana tried maintain the conversation.
"Does Catalan count?" Y/N asks. Ana laughs, shaking her head. "So, English only."
"Well, that's cool too. I guess you knew it for work...?" Ana questioned.
"Yes." Y/N confirmed. "Do you know any other language?" She asked at her too.
"Yes. German, French and English." Ana laughs when she saw Y/N's surprised face. "It's too much?" The Swiss asked playfully.
Y/N shakes her head quickly. "No, no. It's wonderful that you knew four languages. I wish it..." She mumbled the last part.
"I can teach you. What language are you more attracted?" Ana asked, biting her lower lip, hiding a smile.
Y/N looks at her with surprised eyes. "You don't have to. I mean, I don't know if you right now are teasing me. But if not, it's okay." She rambled.
"It's both cases..." Ana confessed, receiving a hit in her leg for Y/N's part. She just laugh, finding cute the reaction girl.
"I'm good." Y/N muttered.
"You two stop flirting, the match will start." Y/N's sister warned them.
When Y/N heard what her sister mentioned, she blushed, a lot. She tried to hide it with her hair, even if Y/N was giving Ana her back.
After a few minutes Y/N was more relaxed and come back to the mood of the first half. And when Sara scored, Y/N just needed to jump to the pitch and hug her. She stood up and clap hard while she said how proud she is of Sara.
"She have lucky to have you." Ana said after Y/N sat down again.
"I have more lucky to have her." Y/N said, looking at her.
Ana smiled softly at this answer. She stayed looking at her back when Y/N turned around before gave her a smile. It's nice see someone supporting another person and more when her aunt adores her niece and vice versa.
The match finished with the only goal from Sara, so her team won. After a few minutes they all get out from the stands and went outside to wait for Sara. Y/N saw how her sister and Ana talk, she noticed that probably it's not the first time they saw each other. And then she realized that Sara goes to the stadium everytime that the team play there.
"Aunt Y/N!" Sara went immediately to hug her aunt when she get out.
Y/N opened her arms happily, grabbing her when Sara jumped at her.
"You scored! I'm so proud of you." Y/N said proudly.
Sara smiled shyly when they separated. Then her gaze fell in someone else.
"Ana! What are you doing here?" The little girl went to hug her, surprised and happy.
"I promised you that I will came to one of yours matches. Well, I'm here." The Swiss said, hugging her back.
"Thanks for coming." Sara said once they separated.
Ana shrugged her shoulders, ruffling her hair. Sara whined making all of them laugh.
"We will go to lunch in a restaurant. Are you both coming?" Y/N's sister asked them.
Y/N and Ana looked each other. "Only if Ana goes." Y/N said immediately. Her saw her face and know what answer she was going to give.
"Well, in that case I guess I'm going." The blonde said, smiling to Sara and Y/N.
•••
The lunch went absolutely fantastic. Ana and Y/N can't stop talking, knowing each other. Sara was very happy seeing their interaction.
Wednesday came and Y/N's sister asked her if she could pick Sara up at school because she needs go to work. For her luck, Y/N worked that morning so her afternoon was free. When Sara saw her, she ran towards her happily. Y/N saw that her niece had put on a Barcelona kit.
"Oh my god. We need go this afternoon to see them, right?" Y/N asks knowingly. Sara nodded with a big smile.
Y/N let out a sigh, but stayed quiet.
"Today you don't complain?" Sara asked her once they are in the car. Y/N looked at her for the review mirror, raising her eyebrows. Sara looked away smiling.
"Why you say that?" Y/N inquired, starting to drive.
"You will see Ana later..." Sara confess rapidly.
Y/N's cheeks turned red. "And you too." She point out, trying to change the subject towards Sara.
"I see them practically every week." Sara hummed. Y/N rolled her eyes.
"If you want go later, stop teasing me." Y/N warned her in a funny tone, but serious. Sara raised her hands and stayed quiet, looking through the window.
They passed the day in Y/N's apartment. Y/N help her with the homework and after let Sara watch whatever she wanted in the tv. When the time to go was drawing near, Y/N began to get ready. She takes a quick shower and dress up comfortable.
"C'mon, I'm ready." Y/N announced when she come back to the living room, where Sara was waiting with a sleepy face. Y/N let out a laugh. "We can stay if you are sleepy." She hummed, seeing that Sara blinked fastly and stood up.
"Nope. I'm not going to miss the Champions League match." The little girl muttered going to the front door.
"Before we go. You need go to the bathroom and meanwhile I'm going for your sweater that you leave here." Y/N ordered, going to Sara's bedroom when she get inside of the bathroom.
Once Y/N come back to the living room, she saw Sara waiting in the front door. She smiled while grab her bag and they went outside.
"So... Explain to me what Champions League means." Y/N asked when they are in the car. She asked this because Sara will let herself sleep yes or yes.
"It's about the biggest tournament of Europe. This year the format it's different from last year, that I remember you that Barcelona won their first Champions League. But basically it's four groups about the Europe's best teams. Two from that group stage pass to quarters finals because in the version of them, eighth finals didn't exist. So, the first will play against the second of the opposite group. Then the team win, pass to semifinals and then the final." Y/N nodded with the explanation. For her luck the stadium was near when Sara finished explain.
Y/N grabs Sara's sweater and save it in her bag, she takes off her from back seats and with a sleepy Sara of her hand, they went inside of Johan Cruyff stadium.
Sara guide them to where they will sit, and when they are sat down, Sara puts her head in Y/N's shoulder while they saw the women get out and started to do warms up. Y/N passed an arm around Sara's shoulders and raised her head to look them. For her surprise she saw Ana looking their way, she smiled raising a hand waving them. Y/N wave back while she smile. But she wasn't the only one, Alexia looked at their way too and gifted them a smile, waving too. Y/N did it for both of them, since Sara was practically sleeping in her shoulder. So while they wait to started the game, Y/N grabs her phone and started to scroll for Instagram.
"You've come." Ana's voice startled her. Y/N looks at her with a raised eyebrow. Ana laughs, signaling with her head Sara. "She wants come but she is tired. I'm wrong?"
"Yep." Y/N said, smiling. "For what I heard, it's a important game, right?"
"Yes. If we win, we maintain like leaders." The blonde said. "Well, I need to go." She wave and go away, but stopped a midway and turned towards her again. "See you later?"
Y/N nods slowly. Ana smiled and nodded too, this time she went inside.
When they come back outside, Y/N wakes up Sara. The little girl opened her eyes disoriented, but soon she reincorporated and put her attention in the pitch. The anthem of the Champions League sounded. This time, Y/N liked the kit that Barcelona it's wearing. She asked it to Sara and she explained that they wear it only for the Champions.
The first half passed with two goals from Barcelona. One of the goal was scored for Aitana Bonmatí, who is Sara's favorite player. Sara clapped hard and chant her name, standing up in the spot. And like if the player heard her, Aitana smiled and signaled her, making a heart with her hands. Sara turned excited towards her aunt and pounced in her arms.
"She pointed at me!" The little girl exclaimed happily, no trace of sleep on her face.
Y/N hugged her back, happy that Aitana made that gesture to Sara. The girl stayed stood up with an emotional face that Y/N couldn't resist and took a photo of her profile, when she saw the photo she sent it to her sister.
Sara relaxed in her shoulder again in the half time, but she stayed awake. And soon the second half started with two more goals. So with four goals from Barcelona and zero to the rival, they stayed leaders.
Y/N saw after the players shake hands with the rivals go to the stands and take photos and sign autographs. Aitana scared Y/N when she jumps the barrier.
"Hey Sara! I heard you scored the other day, good job." The young Catalan said. Sara stood up and when towards the barrier, since the other actually no jumped it, just stoop up.
"Thank you. Your goal was incredible!" Sara exclaimed happily. Aitana hugged her, smiling. Her gaze fell in Y/N, who was watching everything and was taking a photo of this moment.
"I'm sorry. I just want do a photo with her and you are her favorite player... That's all." Y/N explained, blushing.
"It's okay. You are Y/N, right?" Aitana asked, Y/N nods. "I heard a lot about you." She said smiling.
"Sara adores me. What I can say." Y/N joked shyly. Aitana let out a laugh.
"I think she isn't the only one..." Aitana hummed. Y/N frown.
"You adore me?" Y/N asks confused. Sara and Aitana looked each other and at the same time, let a laugh in sync. When they stopped laugh, Y/N raised an eyebrow, crossing her arms.
"It's another person. Maybe in a future I could adore you." Aitana said. "Want you a photo?" She asked at Y/N, a smug smile painted her face.
Y/N gave her a sarcastic one. "Not thanks. Maybe in a future." She said pretending been serious. Aitana let out a laugh.
"You're funny." Aitana comments smiling. "Well, I hope you two enjoyed the match and I promise you that I will go to one of yours." She said, promising Sara that.
"Thanks Aitana. We enjoy it a lot." Sara answered for both of them.
"See you next time." Aitana let a kiss in Sara's head. Then she wave in Y/N's direction.
Y/N saw how Ana approachs next to them, stopping to sign a jersey to a little kid, taking a photo with them too.
"Want you an autograph too?" Ana approached them, smirking.
"If it makes you excited, okay." Y/N teased her back.
Ana smirked, jumping the barrier, just like Aitana before.
"Well, what about a photo?" Ana swings on the railing. Y/N looks at Sara, who was smiling widely.
"The same." Y/N said just like before. Ana rolled her eyes. She looked at Sara, smiling.
"Hey, kiddo. I saw you before and you was sleeping." Ana said, ruffling her hair. Sara pushed away her hand.
"I'm tired." Sara said, like it was obvious. Y/N laughs.
"How funny you are." The Swiss said. She turned her look towards Y/N again. "Can you give me your phone?"
Y/N frown, but she give her to her. Ana grabs her hand and put a finger when she noticed that her phone was blocked. She saw how Ana typed something quickly.
"Take." Ana said, giving back her phone. "I put my number there, I hope it's okay." Y/N smiled widely with her shy confession.
Y/N walked towards her, biting her lower lip. And getting closer to her ear, whispered; "For you, I will put on that ugly kit, with your name behind." Ana let out a chuckle with the confession.
"What about a date before? Friday night." Ana said with conviction. Y/N smiled, looking at her.
"Good think you asked." Y/N joked.
Sara squeals by their side, the pair looking at her. "You two will be friends!" She said innocently. Y/N smiled with her reaction.
"Well, Sara. Will see in a future, maybe they would be something more." Jenni came behind Ana.
Alexia was behind her and hit her neck. "You don't pay attention to her, Sara." She said smiling to the little girl.
Without warning, Jenni grabs Sara and bring her to the pitch. She puts her down, grabbing her hand and going to another players. Y/N felt someone grabs her waist.
"Don't dare to do the same." Y/N warned Ana, who was smiling mischievous.
"Don't worry. I let it for another day." The Swiss whispered, stealing a kiss. Y/N opened her eyes surprised, not waiting this gesture. Ana looked at her leaning her head to aside. "Sorry, I can't resist it."
Y/N passed her tongue for her lips and without thinking too much, she pressed her lips against hers.
"Ana will be my auntie too?" Sara's excited voice exclaimed. Y/N separated a little from Ana, looking at her niece. Sara was next to Alexia and Aitana.
Y/N looked at Ana, who was looking at her with a loving smile, still with a hand in her waist. Y/N made a soft move with her head to let her know that she can answers it.
"I love to." Ana said, kissing Y/N's cheek.

-written portion-
Iwa walks through the front door, running a hand through his hair. He sees Makki and Mattsun on the couch watching a shitty 1980s horror movie.
“Hey,” He nods.
Makki takes a handful of popcorn and turns to Iwa, “Hey baby daddy.” He bites his lip jokingly.
Mattsun turns his head, “Bringing your sugar babies back some money?” Iwa walks up to the couch and slaps both of them on the heads.
“Stop calling me daddy you fucking dumbasses!”
Makki rubs the back of his head, “I know you can hit harder daddy.” Giving a devilish smirk to him.
Iwa grabs the throw pillow next to Mattsun and chucks it at Makki’s face.
“Shut the fuck up.”
Mattsun starts cackling with laughter, but abruptly stops once Iwa takes another pillow to hit him. “OKAY OKAY WE’LL STOP WE’LL STOP!” Iwa throws the pillow next to him, “Fuck you guys.”
He walks away, heading to your room. Your door is wide open, you’re sat on your hardwood floor wearing sport shorts and a black tank top fanning yourself with the dresser instructions.
All of the parts of the dresser are out of the bags, separated in two piles. One with the screws and bolts, and one with all of the wooden parts.
“What the fuck?!” Iwa looks at the unbuilt dresser in disbelief. You look up at him, “huh? what?” He gestures his hands to the floor, “Why is everything out of the bags??”
“The bags were taking up too much space.”
Iwa couldn’t believe what he was hearing. He tried his best to hold in his anger, “YOU DUMBASS WE NEEDED THOSE!” It didn’t work out.
“Why??”
“IF YOU READ THE INSTRUCTIONS YOU WOULD KNOW EVERYTHINGS NUMBERED”
You open the instructions for the first time, read a section, and look back up at him, “Ohhh I thought it was saying how many bags there are.”
Iwa rubs the back of his neck, “I never thought I would say this but YOU’RE WORSE THAN OIKAWA.”
You gave him a look of disgust and stood up from the floor. “How DARE you say I’m worst than Oikawa!”
Iwa rolls his eyes, “I’M NOT WRONG!”
You furrow your eyebrows and grab your phone from your bed, “Don’t make me call him on his date. I’ll do it.” You threaten.
He crosses arms and smirks, “Do it I dare you.” He wanted you to call Oikawa because he knew it would piss him off for you being a cockblock.
“FINE! I WILL!” You scroll for Oikawa’s contact and hit ‘audio call’. Waiting for him to answer, you stare at Iwa with one hand on your hip. When Oikawa picks up he is clearly agitated, “What the fuck do you want? I’m tryna get laid.”
“Iwa-Chan is being mean to me!”
“The fuck you want me to do about that? He’s been bullying me my entire life.”
You frown, “He likes you the best.” Iwa lets out a loud laugh that makes you punch him in the arm. He looks at you with a taken back look because no one ever tries to punch him, because he always punches back harder. But you’re the exception.
“Since when?” Oikawa asks, there is no way he’s the favorite.
You throw your free arm up in frustration, “Since ever!”
Oikawa sighs on the other end, annoyed at his roommate calling him for something so unimportant, “So you’re telling me, you interrupted my chances of getting pussy for THIS?”
Iwa howls of laughter, holding his stomach. You roll your eyes, “Do my feelings not matter?”
“NO not right now!” All Oikawa wants to do is hang up and go back to his date.
“Oikawa-” You try to make him stay on the phone but he cuts you off, “BYE!” He hangs up, leaving you with your mouth agape.
Iwa can’t stop laughing but you punch him again, “Shut up! Help me please!” He sighs, “Fine, I’ll help.”
You give him a wide smile, clapping your hands together, “Thank you Iwa!”
“Yeah yeah whatever,” He mumbled as he took off his work shirt, revealing him in his white tank top showing off his biceps. Of course you always joke around with him about his beefy arms but, wow. You wouldn’t be lying if you said you didn’t imagine those arms wrapping around your-
“Where’s the L screw?” Iwa says, pulling you out of your trance.
“Uhh,” you scratch your head, a bit flustered. “What’s that?”
He sits down, opening the instructions. “You know the metal piece that looks like an L?”
“Oh…” You fucked up.
“Where is it?” He asks, concerned.
“I threw it out.”
This man prayed.
---
Eight hours later, Iwa has been screwing everything in with a knife, almost cutting himself twice. You’re half asleep, leaning on his bicep. You yawn and Iwa looks down to you, “go to bed I got it from here.”
You shake your head, eyes closed, “noooo im helping,”
“you’re not doing anything.”
You open your eyes, looking up at him, “i'm here for moral support!”
Iwa rolls his eyes, glad you can’t see the blush forming on his cheeks. “Just go to sleep”
“No I can't.” You felt bad leaving him to fix your dresser without any company.
He sighs, “It’s fine, just go to sleep.”
You groan, leaning closer into him. “Your biceps are so nice though.”
He really hated the effect you had on him. Making him blush over sleepy confessions, he felt like an idiot getting flustered over you, no matter how much he wanted you to touch him again. “Shut up.” He mumbles.
“It’s a complement!”
“Go to sleep.” He demands.
“Hmph! Fine.” You get up, holding onto his arm for support and plop on your bed, mumbling some nonsense then instantly falling asleep.
Iwa looks over and grins, he wouldn’t have minded your company for a bit longer.
When Iwa finishes up the dark oak dresser, he admires the work he’s done and looks over to your bed, he gives a small smile and leaves your room.
He yawns as he takes off his tank top, throwing it near his hamper and plops onto his bed. He shuts his eyes. Before drifting off into sleep he hears Mattsun from his doorway say, “you’re a fucking simp.”
---
You wake up around the afternoon, first thing you see is your finished dresser. You jolt out of bed smiling wide. You run out of your bedroom and go across the hall into Iwa’s, jumping on top of him yelling, “IWA THANK YOU SO MUCH!”
He opens his eyes right away, “GET THE-” He was about to pry you right off of him, thinking you were one of his other idiot roommates. But he just stood still, cheeks flushing red as your boobs are against his bare chest, trying his hardest not to get a boner.
“THANK YOU THANK YOU! YOU’RE THE BEST!” You shout over and over again pulling him closer to you. He wanted to hug you back, but that wouldn’t be the smartest thing to do.
“LEAVE” He shouts. You don’t budge, “WHY.” You could stay like that forever, but you knew at one point you would have to actually leave. “BECAUSE I SAID LEAVE” “YOUR BED IS COMFY”
Mattsun walks by, half-asleep and grumpily says, “simp.” Makki walks behind him scratching his head saying, “you’re just mad you don’t have a hot girl jumping on top of you in the morning.”
Mattsun punches him in the shoulder, “Ow man!”
Oikawa struts in the apartment, hair disheveled, hickies on his neck with a cocky grin on his face, “Guess who got laaaaiid” He announces going straight to the ‘ACTION BOARD,’ erasing ‘2 weeks’ next to his name and writing ‘0’.
“Nobody cares,” Makki exclaims from the hallway. Oikawa quickly turns to Makki and Mattsun, surprised they’re awake at this hour. They usually sleep in till 3pm.
He takes his jacket off and puts it on the rack, “why are you guys up?”
“Y/n is screaming, we’re all up,” Mattsun yawns.
“Especially Iwa,” Makki snickers.
This instantly sparked Oikawa’s attention. No one ever has the balls to wake Iwa up, they know it’s a deathwish.
“She woke up Iwa-Chan??”
“yep” Mattsun nods.
“where's the blood?”
“the only blood around here is in Iwa’s dick.” Makki laughs.
Oikawa instantly runs into Iwa’s room, being the nosey bitch he is. “Aww Iwa you finally have a girl in your bed!” He cheekily says.
As soon as Iwa heard his voice, his blood started to boil and pried you off of him and pushed you out of his room, “LEAVE ME ALONE!” He shuts the door in all of your faces.
You pout, “Why didn’t he want me in his room?”
All of the guys look at each other, knowing the real reason Iwa didn’t want you in his room. Yet all they could tell you without ruining your innocent gesture was, “don’t worry about it.”
---
❥fun facts:
-they have a ‘sex board’ (well they call it an action board) in their house where they write down how many days they went out without sex on a white board
-Oikawa is NOT Iwa’s favorite
-Mattsun wants a hot girl to jump on him in the morning

Adore You (Bokuto x Reader)
𝐦𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭 || 𝟎𝟖. 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐡 𝐆𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐬
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bokuto sat on a bench, his cheeks puffed out as he watched you take pictures of random scenery. It wasn’t like he didn’t like watching you do your hobby, it was the fact you were acting off. He knew he wasn’t wrong either, that’s how much confidence he had but that’s how much he trusted himself that he knew you well. “Y/n!” Bokuto called out to you,as he walked his way to you. His pout still on his face.
“Yes?” You asked, before you felt hands getting placed on your shoulders. “Uhm..” You trailed off as you looked at Bokuto’s hands on your shoulders. “Can I help you?” You question turning your head back to look at him. His golden eyes pierced into yours, it was almost intimidating, to say the least. “You’re being weird.”
Bokuto’s eyes widened a little, he wasn’t acting weird. “ME?!” And you nod slowly, acting as if he was a little kid. “I’m not acting weird. It’s you!”
“Me? No way, it’s most definitely you.” You report back, trying to hide the smile that wanted to flash itself to him. Bokuto’s pout deepend as he lightly shook you, “Tell me what’s wrong.”
“Nothings wrong.” You raised your eyebrows at him. “Maybe there’s something wrong with you.” If this was some sort of cartoon you bet fumes would be over Bokuto’s head about now. “Don’t try to make me seem like the weird one!”
“Maybe it is you?” You joke, then he stopped shaking you, taking his pointer finger and resting it on his chin. He then tilted his head, you laughed which made his eyes shoot open. “Dang it Y/n! Just tell me what’s wrong, you’ve been acting super weird today,”
You sighed, you knew you were gonna have to stop messing with his head soon. To be honest, you couldn’t get last night's events out your head.. From the fact you got rejected from your dream school and not even right after your ex dumped you.
“It’s stupid.” You muttered, you looked down at your camera that had still been in your hands. Koutarou  placed his hands over yours. “Y/n nothing you say is stupid to me, so you should just tell me I think it’ll make you feel better.” Koutarou says, as he grinned at you. You looked at him, the ends of your lips curved into a smile of your own. You hated to admit it, but the past days you talked to him he managed to fill you with wonder and hope, and that was cheesy enough to put it.
You weren’t a fan of the new feeling, or maybe you were and you were too stubborn to admit it. In hopes to never get hurt like you did before. Keiji’s words fill your mind, ‘He’s different’.
You shake your head, taking your hands away from his. “Long story, that sucks to talk about.” You say, you then stepped back. Bokuto would’ve fought you on that claim, but he knew he couldn’t force it out of.
“Well, if I can’t hear the story. Can I at least take a picture of you?” He requested. You gave him a confused stare. “What kinda request is that?” You ask, he only looked at you with puppy dog eyes. “Gross... Fine.” You say, as you walked over to him handing him your polaroid camera. Which was a gift from Akaashi, you just liked to use it from time to time.
Bokuto gave himself a mini air fist pump, “Yes!” He cheered, and you rolled your eyes smiling. “Be careful with it.” You warn, and Bokuto rolled his eyes, fiddling with the camera. “I’m not a child--”
“You sure.” You interrupt, “HEY!” Bokuto shouted, you laughed. “I said what I said.”
“Okay whatever, meanie. Now stop looking so stiff so I can take this picture.”
“I’m sorry! Stiff? How dare you.” You gasped and then started laughing.
“I’m serious! Your arm looks so firm. Pose or something!” Bokuto said, you chuckled. “Well if you keep making me laugh we won’t get any picture.” You reported back. “No it’s just because you’re stiff.”
You laughed, harder than you had expected. Your face scrunched, and you tried to hide it with your hand hovering your mouth.
Bokuto smiled at your reaction, from the camera lens. He then took the picture. The flash had made you stop laughing. “I wasn’t ready!”
You jogged over to him to watch the picture develop, once the picture came out from the top. Bokuto raised an eyebrow as he took it from the top slot.
“It’s still white.” He says confused. You shake your head “Yeah, but just give it a second.” You waved it slightly before showing him. The picture Bokuto took slowly started to appear on the frame.
His eyes widened. “What!?” He asked excitedly, you handed the picture to him, his mouth open as the picture started to develop before fully showing up. You smiled at the picture, as Bokuto looked over at you. Bokuto saw how pretty your skin was right now, how the sun shined down just right and gave you a perfect glow of all your features. He wondered why your skin always looked so silky and rich.
“I get to take a picture of you next.” You beamed, as you looked to meet his gaze. “Okay, I’m keeping this picture though.”
“What! Fine, I get to keep yours then.” You declare, Bokuto didn’t hesitate to say; “Deal!
You took the camera, “Aye, why are you posing right now?” You asked as Bokuto stood in front of you. “So you weren’t going to take a picture of me like one of your french girls?” You stared at him, before sighing. "Why do you put it like that?"
“Anyways. I will! But, I want it to be a surprise shot.” You explained. “What if I look ugly in it?” He asked. “Then, it sucks for you.” Bokuto whined, “I’m kidding! I just won’t show anyone.”
“We’d have to burn it.”
“What?! Bokuto no, we wouldn’t need to burn it.”
“We would!”

Bokuto is confident that he has no ugly photos of himself, Kuroo says otherwise.
Y/n doesn't think she's emotionally prepared for a relationship
Even though Y/n did get declined from her dream school that doesn't stop her from taking photos she ends up saving.
Bokuto has never seen the Titanic, he just uses French Girls cause he thinks it's funny.

first part hurt;
BB and Pastel
CW: Abandonment; pet whump; dehumanization; conditioning; swearing; low self-esteem; degradation; pushing;
Tumblr media
…BB could tell something was off. They could see on owner-Alvin’s face. They wanted BB to go on the car… And they weren’t going for the park, or get snacks today. No. It wasn’t that cold, but Master made them put the warm set of clothes, and they picked up Mr. Tonsils, too. And… The collar tag was removed. Something bad would happen.
Still, BB smiled at their owner and hoped on the car, giving them big puppy eyes, the cheerful toothy smile… And stood in silence, hoping that would be enough. Hoping that owner would see how much the pet loved them, how much it just… was trying. Trying so, so hard to make him happy. BB knew they never could… They would never be good enough, be Blue… But they were trying.
So, Owner-Alvin drove into an abandoned looking neighborhood, very early on the morning, with no one around, and told them to step off the car… BB couldn’t hold the things any longer. They knew what would happen.
“What is the matter, BB?” They sighed, impatiently “Just get out”
“…Y-y-ou…” BB sniffed “Owner is… Is abandoning BB, isn’t he?”
…And owner-Alvin turned to look them, blushing, half ashamed.
“I-“
“Owner is… Is giving up on BB!” They nearly shouted, hugging Mr. Tonsils “…BB can b-be b-better owner… P-please? P-please? D-don’t leave… BB d-don’t want… Be abandoned again. P-please…?”
“…I’m sorry, BB. I can’t… Can’t handle you anymore” He sighed, unlocking the door, and not wanting to face the crying pet any longer “I’m sure you’ll find someone else to take care of you. Just… Just go”
…BB cleaned the tears, a broken sob escaping their throat. They tried to look at owner, just… Just remember their face… Just a bit… But no-longer-owner Alvin refused to look at them.
“P-please…”
“…It’s an order BB. Get out of the car”
“…Yes…Owner…Alvin…”
And they opened the door, as Master started the car again, driving away, crushing little gravel on the floor. And BB… Was all alone. Alvin… Thought they were so worthless they didn’t even sold them. Just… Threw them out. Like trash. BB was fucking worthless trash, a cheap copy, worthless worthless worthless…
Their contained cry was no longer under control. They started to sob hysterically, kicking the little pebbles of the alleyway, only Mr. Tonsils there for BB. Who would want a worthless dog like BB? They would die. They would just be left to rot. They touched their collar… No tag there. No owner. BB unbuckled it and threw it away. BB would never be like Blue, with all the people who wanted him, all the homes waiting, all the people waiting to care for him…
No. BB was all alone. Pathetic, alone, and… Didn’t even had themselves, all they knew how to be was a pale imitator.
----------
“Hey, look” Reina pointed. He turned to look what had caught his girlfriends attention… A flash of Blue hair. Someone crying desperately. They seemed to have been there for a while, their clothes and face all dirt, bruises all over them, a half-ruined collar on their neck…
“…What?”
“You think that’s a pet?”
“Yeah…” He rolled his eyes. She would want to go and look, wouldn’t she? “People don’t usually go around screaming in alleyways…”
“You think it could be Blue? It looks like him” Reina smiled. Oh, yeah. She was quite a fan of those pet channels. He didn’t really pay much attention when they watched those together, but he thought he knew which one was Blue.
“What would a famous, expensive pet be doing around on a place like this?”
She chuckled.
“Yeah. Let’s check anyway”
…Well, of course it wasn’t that pet. But was someone similar. Reina seemed to like them, giving them a smile. …She… had been talking a lot about them getting a pet lately. He wasn’t a fan of the idea, but he kind of could see where this was going.
…The pet saw them approach, staring with big wide eyes, lifting their hands a bit, as if preparing to be hit.
“Hey, little one. Are you lost?”
…The pet shook their head.
“No, Miss… It D-ddoesn’t have… a home anymore…”
“Oh? You have name?” Reina’s smile broadened “You look like a famous pet, you know?”
“…Blue!” And the pet perked up immediately, jumping up, an ugly rat plush in their hands “BB is like Blue, Miss! BB can be… Be more… Be more like Blue if… If Miss helps…”
“Oh, BB? Is that your name? What does it mean?”
“…bootleg Blue…” the pet whispered, looking at their feet, voice nearly cracking.
“Oh… How about Baby Blue instead? “And his girlfriend giggled while messing with that pet’s hair, her red nail polish against the blue tint, and the sprouting roots. Fuck, she had already re-named the pet… “Would you like to come home with us?”
“…Excuse-“ He started, knowing damn well it was useless. She had already decided that.
“Oh come on, Paul… We have some space. And they will behave good for us, wont you BB? You’ll behave?”
“Yes! Yes Miss!” The pet jumped up and down, seeming over the moon with the idea of getting adopted. He could already tell they would be really fucking annoying “BB will be good! BB can be Baby Blue!”
…He  wanted to say no but… Reina was doing her puppy face. Shit, how could he say no to her? He loved that woman.
“…Fine…” He mumbled, defeated.
…And the dirty, stinking pet hugged him. He needed a lot of self control not to slap them, but he did push the thing away. This didn’t seem to shake them in the slightest, as they kept griming with that ugly, broken smile, full of dark holes where teeth were missing. Just like that other pet his girlfriend liked…
Hell, he would never understand why she liked those ugly things. She could at least want a cute, brand new pet, without the nasty scars… But no. She wanted this mutt.
Well… She seemed happy. She was smiling, baby talking the mutt. At least her happiness made it worth it.

Mapi Leon's coming out story: the impact of words.
Being the first professional Spanish women’s footballer playing in Spain to publicly come out she caused waves amongst the media and general public (Laura del Rio had previously given interviews about her sexuality but that only when she had moved to the US to play). I have translated the article in which she came out on this day two years ago below because google translate won’t do it justice, but I also wanted to give a bit of backstory about the impact that her coming out had. Now Mapi isn’t just any Spanish player, although obviously not that well-known, she made headlines for being the first female Spanish player to have a transfer fee attached to her when she moved from Atletico to Barça. The fact that she had a higher profile than most other players makes her coming out so publicly even more of a big deal, because her larger platform meant she had more to lose but also meant she understood the power of her words in influencing her audience. Although people just living their lives on social media and casually mentioning their same-sex partners in interviews without a coming out moment is very important, her doing an interview for the national press openly talking about coming out as well as discussing her footballing career is essential too.
Six months after coming out she did another interview talking about the reception that she got on social media after coming out. She said that ‘she didn’t stop receiving messages: “Thank You”, “I saw you and you gave me strength”, “I’m not alone”. Women and Men from all over Spain recognised her gesture and saw themselves reflected in it. “I read them all, but I wasn’t able to reply. I didn’t think that it would turn into something so important for so many people.”’ Her coming out resulted in her being invited to be part of the opening events of Madrid Pride 2018. “When I came out publicly, I became aware of the significance of the action, and that it was much bigger than a single moment or my private life.” She also recognised how different parts of Spain reacted dissimilarly to her coming out and being a public figurehead: “In Barcelona they said ‘well okay great,’ but maybe in less urban areas like Zaragoza [where she is originally from] it wasn’t all like that”, even if bigger cities are more accepting there are places that needed to hear her words more.
Not only was it an influential moment in many supporters’ lives, she also had an impact within the women’s football community itself. She said that as a result of her coming out she saw “more photos, more nods towards players being in relationships with women on social media… as if now one’s sexuality matters even less [in women’s football]. Before you shied away a bit, at the end of the day we’re footballers, not just people, we represent a club, a country, a supporters base… and maybe that was why there was a bit of shyness online. Now I see that everything is done more naturally, without shouting about it on rooftops, but indirectly doing just that.” Even though she didn’t know how much of an impact her words would have at the time, her coming out story helped so many people and continues to be a beacon in Spanish LGBTQ+ visibility – which isn’t always as holistic as it’s sometimes portrayed to be on here.
I have left the translated version of her initial coming out news article below the cut.
Woso Pride Month 2020 [Day 23/30]
FC Barcelona’s defender is left-footed like Messi, she’s just one the Copa de la Reina and in August she will be called up to the national team. She thinks that it is important to “stand up for everyone’s rights”
“I was never very into dolls. I preferred to play ball with my brother and his friends.” And did you beat them? “Well, if I had been bad at it the boys would have kicked me out.” Maria Pilar León is tenacious and tough, perhaps that’s why she’s a centre-back. This blonde 23 year old woman kicks a ball with her left foot like Messi, has a tattoo sleeve on her arm that reminds one of Sergio Ramos’ and they compare her with Piqué due to the ease she has with playing the ball out of the penalty box… although at first sight she looks more like Shakira. Like them, she steps onto the pitch with the fierceness of a warrior. Only a few weeks ago she won the Copa de la Reina with Barça, a goal in the last 10 seconds of the final gave them the victory over Atletico de Madrid. There’s another trait that makes her similar to those footballing icons: she openly and naturally lives with her sexuality, for she also likes women. “And there’s no issue with that. This is who I am and there’s nothing wrong about it”.
Mapi, like they call her on the pitch, doesn’t want life to catch her offside. In a sporting environment with notoriety of being sexist and chauvinist, she wants to score a goal against homophobia. “When you’re a public figure, you have some sort of responsibility. I think that it’s important to stand up for everyone’s rights, there is no need to hide. We often hear pretty disgusting things in football stadiums, not only homophobic slurs but also racist ones, and I believe that we – as the people in sport – need to send a clear message about tolerance and against hatred.” Fair play was about this.
Here we can return to the first paragraph. Mapi is tenacious and tough, she’s also brave and not only on the pitch. You need a lot of courage to talk publicly about something that male footballers are silent about. “I can understand their silence given how chauvinistic football can be. There are a lot of closed-minded people who would insult them, although that kind of insults tell you more about who says them… There’s a lot of pressure in a match, you have to be extremely concentrated and to stand up to that kind of thing is tough. So, in that sense, I understand why they don’t come out. But, on the other hand, it’s something so natural that it escapes me for as to why they don’t do it, I think if they were open the mentality would change bit by bit. In this sense, we have to move forward and progress.”
Chants such as “Michel, Guti (or whoever else), faggot” are common place in stadiums, but Mapi rests assure that she has never suffered from any homophobia on the pitch. “It’s true that there are players whose parents think that this is an illness, but I’ve been lucky in this respect. My parents told me that they would love whoever I loved. And never have I been insulted by anyone nor nothing like that. Maybe it’s because football is, above everything, chauvinistic and sexist. So the bottom line is that a lot of people aren’t thrilled that we women play. I guess those that come and see our matches a more in favour of equality. They are more open minded. They like seeing us play, they enjoy it.
And it’s true, every year more and more people enjoy women’s football. In other countries, like the US, the sport is clearly booming. 1,500 universities have their own teams and there are stars, like Alex Morgan, who take photos alongside Messi. In Spain the situation is a lot more modest, although it is beginning to change. Mapi, for example, has almost 45,000 followers on Instagram. A lot more than well-known actors like Bárbara Lennie or Emma Suárez. “Yes, one could say that I have fans. There are three girls who always come and see me play. It’s pretty cool when you see them with your shirt on. Thanks to her speed and her tactical intelligence she is one of the leading figures in the Liga [now Primera] Iberdrola. In fact, she was the first female Spanish player to be a paid transfer in women’s football. Barça paid 50,000 euros for her transfer from Atletico de Madrid. A big milestone for women’s sport, and something that felt impossible to this woman who collected Ronaldinho stickers when she was younger.
“I wouldn’t be able to explain to you what I felt when they signed me, I felt complete joy. It meant that I hadn’t be mistaken in choosing football as a career. To be honest I wasn’t a great student, I scraped through. In the 4th year of ESO [Year 11/Grade 10] one of my teachers always said: ‘be careful because next time you might not pass…’ He basically told me that I wasted too much time by playing sports and I should stop playing football. Now I think about him a lot. He didn’t see me having a future, but I stuck with my passion and it ended up being the right decision.”
Mapi has played since she was a young girl, but her career started when she was 17, when Real Club Deportivo Español made her an offer. She was forced to leave her parents, Javier the mechanic and Pilar, a caregiver, in Zaragoza and jump into this adventure head first. “They were sad that I left home, but they always supported me.” The next season she received an offer from Atletico de Madrid. With them she won the league. And from there came the famous signing with Barcelona. Now, having finished the season, the centre-back will meet up with the national team to train for two matches in preparation for the 2019 World Cup in France. They have already qualified and are ready to bring the cup home. “Hopefully the men will also win in Russia”.
QUESTION.- Don’t you fear your club’s or the Federation’s reaction after talking about you being homosexual? You are the first professional player in the league to talk about it publicly…
ANSWER.- I don’t think it will be a problem. My personal life is my own and shouldn’t bother anyone else. I hope that they will support it because football needs to start opening itself up. If there are now people who are openly homosexual even in government, how could there not be homosexual people on football pitches?
Q.- And in the changing rooms? Could that not be weird? Prejudices still exist…
A.- I once talked to a [male] friend about this. He got quite caught up about it, but it’s stupid. Your teammates are like family, like sisters. With the tension you have about a match you aren’t focusing on whether they’re looking at you or that kind of thing. There’s a lot of familiarity between us.
In some ways, Mapi has cracked a glass roof, but the financial figures that women’s football deal with, compared to the ones the men deal with, are still ridiculous. A mediocre player in La Liga can win around a million euros per season, whilst most female players earn around a thousand euros per month. There are agencies, such as Carlos Rodríguez’s UPro, who manages Mapi, that try to improve the situation, but the gap here remains an abyss. “There’s always a lot of talk about the difference in salaries between women’s and men’s football. I understand that they earn a lot of money because they generate that kind of money and I’m not against that. Although it’s also true that the figures are exorbitant, everything has got exponentially higher… In the end, we do the same that they do. We dedicate the same amount of time to the game but few follow us, it may be the case that people like us but what’s missing is more promotion.
Q.- For example Doña Letizia didn’t go to the Copa de la Reina final [this means the Queen’s Cup. Leticia is the Queen of Spain and the men’s tournament called Copa del Rey after the King is always attended by him]
A.- I don’t know why she didn’t attend it. Maybe she wasn’t made aware of it, but if the King goes to the guy’s cup final she should come to ours as it carriers her name. It would really help up as it would attract a lot of attention in the press. Hopefully she’ll go next year [Spoiler: she did!]
Q.- Your male counterparts are currently playing in the World Cup hosted in Russia, a country that has a legislation which contains a crackdown on LGBT rights. What do you think about a competition like this one being played in a country like that?
A.- It’s a mistake. In some way it seems like they’re backing the homophobic legislation. In Chechnya there have been concentration camps for homosexuals and that’s something that Putin tolerates. We shouldn’t look away when presented face to face with such issues. This isn’t only about LGBT rights; these are human rights. That’s not the message of tolerance and respect that sport, and specifically football, should affiliate itself with.
Mapi is very certain about this. The match against homophobia in football can be won. She has scored the first goal. Now what’s left to do is for a lot of other athletes to join the team.

Platinum 9 Disc as an album represents the new wave of Morning Musume as they transition into what fans in retrospect call the platinum era: a period after the cooldown of their initial peak when the group finds renewed inspiration and starts to redefine their strengths. While no obvious song stands out as the big bang that sparks this change, “Resonant Blue” would be the single I’d put forward as the one that marks a new beginning in their history.
2007 was an exceptional year that found Morning Musume getting back into their groove. Sexy 8 Beat from that year brought a sense of stability after a few years spent cycling out different musical personalities as well as all but one member from the first four generations that defined the face of the group. The streak of great music coincided fittingly with the group’s 10th anniversary especially as they revisited some ideas first explored in the past that they were now much more capable to execute.
That year’s “Egao Yes Nude” guides a lot of “Resonant Blue.” The latter deals with a sophisticated take on R&B with classiness as the focus in mood like the former single while also recycling some of the old ad lib tactics of the group’s early generations. The retro feel of the production come off slightly less obvious, though, with the Chic-esque guitar strums taking a backseat for more robust electronic sounds like those snapping kicks and chunky drum fills.
Tsunku stuffs many hooks along the way to the main chorus. The refrain introduced in the first few seconds -- “Cry! Cry! Donkurai?” -- rings loud every time it makes its way back on the track enough to be a chorus of its own. There are so many in fact that “Resonant Blue” structurally resembles more a cluster of hooks than a solid song, making it a bit difficult to distinguish the center if you try to fit it in the traditional arc of verse-pre-chorus-chorus. But each hook is a brilliant flash of ideas that throws several exciting twists and turns before reaching the core message.
And it’s actually fitting that that core message of “Resonant Blue” gets nested in a Russian doll of hooks. “Help me! Help me,” the idols shout in the chorus that comes about almost halfway into the song. But their cry for emotional support to soothe their sadness and loneliness goes unheard as they project a innocent appearance on the outside.
"Resonant Blue” explores mixed signals and navigating a frustrating world full of them. As if to stay true to that, it’s hard to get a grip on the mood of the idols based on the song alone. They seem stoic and unfazed performing to the tune of a confident R&B beat, and yet they squeeze desperation out of the devastated chorus. Sayumi Michishige in the end provides the voice that speaks truest to what’s really on the group’s mind. “Help me!” She screams from the distance with an intensity of her appearance in “Shabondama” that cuts through everything else.
“Resonant Blue” brings in ideas that Morning Musume have already been exploring for some years prior. What’s novel about the single, though, is that it solidifies those ideas into more of a standard for what the group will attempt going forward. Sophistication will remain the focus in tone of the music as well as performance, and issues will be more complex. In that sense, the group truly has settled into something different here.

Chapter Info
Name: Why are you so noisy? Words: 2976 Warnings: The first part can be boring, because is the nomination. Summary: The new Inazuma Japan Team is going to be chosen, who would be part of the time this year?
[Memory 04] Why are you so noisy?
“I will proceed to name the players who have won a place in the Inazuma Japan team this year to participate in the International Championship. When I name you go down here and line up.” An overwhelming silence was made in the stadium where they were going to announce to the members of the football team that would go to the World Cup, until then it had been noisy because of the voices and laughters of more than one hundred young people from all parts of the country who had already attended, either because they expected to be on the team or because they did not want to miss the moment when a friend was chosen to represent their country.
“In the position of goalkeeper, Endou Mamoru …”
They heard a shout of joy not far from them, Endou had jumped up with his fists up and was running towards the football field, as if it were not obvious that he was to be chosen and it would have really surprised him, being him, surely it was. Endou was the only player, along with Gouenji and Kidou, that Fudou knew had a place, they simply could not include them, they were the three players with more merits. He clenched his hands nervously, he hoped that he had also achieved it that year, after all that had happened... At his side he saw Sakuma and Genda even more expectant and sweaty than him. If he thought about it coldly, his games with the Teikoku team were perfect and had attracted the interest of many people, they were also very good players.
“And Genda Koujirou.”
The boy sitting on the other side of Fudou roared in excitement without being able to restrain himself and hugged the white-haired boy on his right.
“You did! You did it, Genda!”
A faint smile had appeared on Fudou's lips, as he watched sideways at his friend who was hurrying to get to the field, afraid they would change their minds and put another goalkeeper in their place. The previous year Genda wasn’t in the national team. He snorted, sure he was going to be unbearable for a time of the joy of being on the team.
“In the defense position, Kazemaru Ichirouta, Fubuki Shirou, Kogure Yuuya, Kabeyama Heigorou, Handa Shinichi and Kurimatsu Teppei.”
The called boys were going down, some of them had real tears of happiness, in fact all but Fubuki cried from the excitement of being selected, the most Handa since the previous year wasn’t even one of the players to be considered. So far Fudou had not really been surprised with any of the elections, maybe he did not expect so much that Handa managed to stay that year in the nationals but the boy had worked hard together with Raimon Team, and had improved a lot despite continuing not to stand out especially in something; but Fudou thought that was fine, surely Handa was the most complete player of all and his individual game would become stronger and stronger if they knew how to direct it well. He also knew that if Tachimukai was not among the chosen goalkeepers it was because he had been severely injured shortly before the ceremony and could not play, although he was certain that if he recovered in time they would include him in the team, he was not only a very good goalkeeper but he earned everyone's affection quickly. On the other hand, Tsunami, Tobitaka and Hijikata had passed the age allowed to play in that league, but they had remained in the League of the High School. Like Nishikage, Saginuma and Mizukamiya, rivals of the National during the last year and who had remained in the Japanese senior team.
“In the position of midfielder…”
Fudou swallowed, that was his position, he noticed a cold sweat that ran down his neck and a warm hand grabbed his, Kidou had brows more frowned than ever and had automatically grabbed the hand of the brunette, although his sight behind those glasses was immovable in the man who spoke in the middle of the field.
“Kidou Yuuto” Fudou heard a sigh of relief from the boy with cinnamon hair and rolled his eyes, which a fool were all of them “”Kiyama Tatsuya, Midorikawa Ryuuji” a shouted across the stadium broke the silence of the place and they saw the green-haired boy who had hugged all his friends and jumped more than excited,”Inamori Asuto, Nosaka Yuuma, Hiura Kirina and …”
Fudou's eyes closed and that hand tightened even more, a knot had been made his stomach and heart beat with fear.
“Ichihoshi Hikaru.”
The brunette boy opened his mouth without anything coming out and felt it sink into a pit; he wasn’t chosen. The hand that squeezed him grabbed him harder, his owner's mouth had opened in stupefaction. No, it could not be. Fudou let go and hid his head in his hands, quite annoyed and disappointed with himself, he had not succeeded, he had not succeeded. He noticed the eyes of his Teikoku teammates and a buzz of fury grew inside him and he covered his ears, he didn't want to be pitied! He didn't want to be looked at! Why didn't everyone disappear !?
"Kidou, you should go down," Sakuma murmured, he had changed seats when Genda left and looked palely at the brunettet.
"But…"
"Don’t worry, Kidou, do what you should do," Fudou growled without raising his head as he struggled not to cry from frustration, that Kidou stayed there only made things worse.
Kidou left with great discomfort, despite having been chosen he did not feel cheerful, quite the opposite, his heart ached.
“In the position of forward, Gouenji Shuuya, Utsunomiya Toramaru, Someoka Ryuugo, Haizaki Ryouhei, Kira Hiroto, Matsuno Kuusuke and Sakuma Jirou.”
Sakuma opened his only visible eye and winced. Fudou looked at him sideways; yes, he was excited, but the look that Fudou discovered in his eye when he looked at him made him understand that despite that he was not happy. They couldn't be without him after all. Sakuma also left and he was left alone, the rest of the Teikoku team was behind and they were still watching him, some had begun to murmur with indignation.
“They are idiots, why have they not included it?” he heard Narukami say.
"Fudou is one of the best strategists in the country ... The best with Kidou would dare to say," Doumen growled.
“Finally …” the bustle that had begun to be made in the stadium disappeared again, nobody expected any more announcement “at the post of libero …”
Fudou raised his eyebrow with his face still buried in his hands. It was not usual for a team to have a libero, it was a position of great responsibility and creativity in the game and there were not many people who could achieve it successfully, trust and teamwork were indispensable, as was an agile mind with great ability to analyze, the libero carried the hopes of his team on his shoulders, it was a figure of faith.
“Fudou Akio.”
Fudou opened his eyes in amazement, it took him a long time to assimilate, had he heard right? Had he been appointed in the position of libero? A deafening bellow of all his companions upon receiving the news rose from the field, when he looked up and still without believing that, he discovered that Kidou was smiling from ear to ear and raised his fist towards him, he also smiled and stood up to go to meet with his teammates, although before he went through a round of claps, hugs and whistles of the Teikoku team that seemed to be radiant with emotion.
Had he really really heard correctly? Was he going to be a libero? Was he going to be the libero?
“As captain, Endou Mamoru and sub-captain, Kiyama Tatsuya. The coaches will be Zhao Jinyun and Kudou Michiya.”
Fudou walked slowly to the field, he did not want to appear desperate, but as soon as he set foot on the grass he saw that several companions threw themselves to hug him.
“What scare you had given us, Fudou!” exclaimed Genda with tears hugging him with a tackle that almost knocks him down.
“Congratulations, Fudou! Now you'll have to be a responsible boy” Sakuma laughed, punching him in the chest.
“Let's play football, Fudou!” shouted Endou hugging him so hard that Fudou thought he was going to break his back.
“We'll be back in the field together, buddy!” Someoka ruffled his hair at his mock disgust as he ran his arm around his shoulders.
Kidou said nothing, but stayed there, smiling; but the boy with turquoise eyes didn't need anything else. All the words he didn't say were written on his lips. And that smile was better than anything else, a warm feeling had replaced the dark oppression of moments before.
The boy with cinnamon hair was the one who had shouted loudest of all when they had named his friend, not for nothing he was the one who was most pleased with his nomination. For a terrible moment he feared he should fight without him... and found no emotion in it. At that point, playing without Fudou was unthinkable for him.
Fudou shrugged his shoulders trying not to seem exceptionally excited, otherwise they might believe that he had not hoped to stay on the team and therefore he did not trust his abilities, that would begin his work as a libero very badly.
They were instructed to return to the stadium for the nomination of the Women's League team and then meet with their coaches. That was equally exciting.
Norika, Touko, Rika, Reina and Takanashi were among other girls in the team, but nobody was surprised, there were not so many female players and they were exceptionally good. They would be in command of Hitomiko and to everyone's surprise Megane was going to be one of their managers.
The boys went to meet with the coaches although on the way their friends stopped them to congratulate them. Fubuki could barely let go of his brother Atsuya, who hugged him tightly and shouted at him that next time he would also be on the team. The appearance of Atsuya had been the news of the year, Fubuki's younger brother had managed to survive the car accident years before, but he had lost his memory and it was not until he recovered that he began desperately searching for his older brother until he found him. They had barely fitted themselves with such joy when Fubuki had told them! Although as he had not been playing football for a long time, he did not have the necessary level for the international championship.
In the dressing room the coaches made the team managers Aki, Haruna, Fuyuka, Anna and Tsukushi give the boys the uniform. No one was surprised by Natsumi's absence, she had asked to be the manager of Little Gigant again.
They were also instructed about their training that would begin in two days and where they would stay for it. The same place as the previous year, a residence on the outskirts of the city with large training camps.
“Why are we so many players on the team, coach Kudou, coach Zhao?” asked Nosaka strangely.
“Last year there were several casualties during the championship and substitutions had to be made. Each substitution breaks the pace of the team. In this way there will be no need to bring someone outside to replace and lower the level we expect for the Internationals.”
“How many casualties do you expect?”
“This year there are several teams with very dangerous games.”
"Surely half of you will leave on the way" the coach from China laughed without giving it much importance.
That was received with great tension, how many of them would be able to reach the final? Because everyone pointed to the final. Each of them thought that he would not be one of those who would leave.
The boys went to celebrate the International Team nomination with their friends, Tsunami and Tobitaka congratulated Fudou and Someoka effusively and entrusted their hopes of winning the tournament.
“You have to win for us, guys! Show what we rebel boys are capable of!”
“Fudou, Someoka, we count on you.”
“Of course, and you put Japan in a good place with the seniors.”
“Why are you so noisy?”
The four boys beat each other with laughter and began talking about their opinions regarding both teams.
Tachimukai approached Genda with his plaster leg and held out his hand, he shook it with great determination.
“I count on you to protect the goal of Inazuma Japan.”
“I’m going to protect it with my life!”
"You don’t need to go so far, Genda" Sakuma sighed in exasperation at his side.
During the small celebration, Fudou did not miss that Kidou kept watching him from time to time, every time he caught him, a mocking smile appeared on the lips of the second strategist. Although perhaps it was not so rare, his eyes also turned to the goggle boy who spoke with Toramaru and Kurimatsu. He couldn't help it.
It started getting late and the boys headed to their homes or hotels.
"I accompany you home, Fudou," said the boy with cinnamon hair and blue rubber goggles.
Fudou looked at him with a mute question in his eyes and Kidou shrugged. Fudou said nothing more about it, when it was late according to the criteria of the boy always accompanied him to his house, and from there he asked to be picked up by car. Although it sometimes bothered him in the deep it didn't bother him, it was weird.
On the way they didn't talk much; but none of them cared, a trust between them had grown during the last year that allowed them to remain in a silence that connected more than a thousand words. They had learned to read on their faces, their gestures, their silences and their stories.
They had shared a lot together, in their training, in their matches... they had learned to be in sync.
They reached the building where Fudou lived and went inside, waiting until the car would arrive. They barely exchanged some trivial phrases regarding the team members. They were sitting on the stairs that went up to the upper floors, Fudou's hand rested on Kidou's.
The car reached the door and Kidou got up, that was the moment they liked least, when he had to leave. Fudou stayed sat. Seeing him.
“See you the day after tomorrow, Fudou.”
“Yes.”
Kidou took a couple of steps but then he turned, his cheeks were a little red, he seemed troubled by a thought he couldn't express, as if he couldn't find words for what he wanted to say. Fudou watched him in silence, allowing him that time without interrupting, a strange kindness on his part.
“Facing the World without you would not have been worth it.”
Fudou raised an eyebrow.
“Did you doubt that I would be on the team, Kidou-kun?”
“What!? Of course not!”
Fudou got up and reduced the distance between them, his forearm resting on the wall being very close to Kidou, with the bodies almost stucked together. With his other hand he lowered his glasses and looked at those eyes that appealed to him so much, although there was some anger in his turquoise eyes.
“Tell it again to the face!”
“I had no doubt that you would enter the team.”
“Not even when they said all the positions?”
Kidou's lip trembled a little.
“Tsk ... liar.”
“They couldn't not include you, you are fundamental to the team.”
“None are indispensable, Kidou-kun.”
“You are for me. You are like a breath of fresh air that oxygenates my blood and my brain.”
Fudou looked surprised and laughed. Kidou looked away annoyed that he laughed, felt his pulse fastening and had a hard time stopping himself fromhis desire to jump over the brunette.”
“What a weird things you say, Kidou-kun. I’m gonna think you like me.”
Kidou raised an eyebrow, although his ears had inevitably turned red and his heart began to beat even faster, realizing that he had to force the expression of indifference on his face he knew there was something that did not fit. That time was the first time that Fudou mocked him that way, although over the years there would be many more times.
“Don't give yourself so much credit, Fudou.”
“Whatever.”
Fudou stared into his eyes for a moment, the hand with which he did not lean against the wall rose to Kidou's face and stroked his cheek with an unusual softness, Kidou was left without air, that contact was as tender as unexpected. He wished he didn't take his hand off his face.
“I did believe that I wasn’t chosen. I felt so disappointed ... I thought I would not be able to run after the ball with the team ... that I would not be able to run with you.” His face reflected a very sad expression and Kidou, who watched him silently until that moment hugged him. Fudou buried his head in his neck. It smelled good, although he didn't wear a perfume, but he didn't need a perfume, Kidou's smell was pleasant, he always smelled clean, like a new book and a touch of sweat that Fudou really liked.
They stayed that way until the sound of a car horn made them separate quickly, as if they were afraid someone might find them that way.
“Let's play football, Fudou.”
Kidou had stretched his arm with his fist clenched so that the brunette would bump fist.
“Let's play football, Kidou.” Fudou's fist gave a soft blow to the other boy and he left after hearing another honk.

There was a slam at the door of the dorms of Ragna, where the pop idols Walkure were living.
“Kaname!!” A young man’s voice shouts. His silver hair glew a little in the soft light of the dorm in his arms he carried one of the idols, Mikumo.
“Satoshi-kun?!” Freya calls back,”Kaname’s not here at the moment.... but what’s-“ her voice dropped when she saw her comrade laying in the man’s arms. Her breathing was rough.
“What happened?” She asked.
“We were out shopping. Then she suddenly collapsed.” Satisfying explained. As Freya looked over Mikumo, checking her pulse, her breathing, and last of all she checked her skin warmth.
“She must be running a fever, hurry. Let’s get her to her room.” Freya ushers them into the dorms and up the stairs.
Mikumo lay on her bed, she was still panting, her face was flushed and she was sweating pretty badly.
“Was it something she ate?” Freya asked trying to get all of the details.
“We ate at Chuck’s restaurant. She was eating things that she didn’t normally eat, she kept saying she was feeling it today.” Satoshi explained.
“Sea spiders, jellyfish ramen, also some sparkling water, that’s it. But she collapsed almost three hours after we ate. Up until then she was completely fine.”
“Mmm Sato... where..” a soft voice rang behind them. The woman on the bed breathlessly spoke through her panting.
“Miku, you collapsed, I brought you back to the dorms.” The silver haired man knelt next to her. Taking her hand,”Why didn’t you tell me you weren’t feeling so good?” He asked.
Maroon eyes looked away for a moment to Freya,”Can him and I talk in private Freya?”
The young girl nods then leaves the room.
———————————————————————————
About 30 minutes pass by.
Freya was waiting patiently outside of the room. Soon Satoshi came staggering out.
“Satoshi-kun?” Freya asked worried for him. But he kept walking until he hit the sofa downstairs. Plopping himself down, his eyes looked like they were filled with panic.
Freya’s rune perked up. Now she was really worried. Opening the door to Mikumo’s room she asked,”Mikumo-san daisobu desuka?”
“Freya.. hai.. come here. I want to tell you something..” Mikumo spoke quietly. She was now sitting up in bed. Her long violet hair draped around her like a violet waterfall.
The orangette paced over to her slowly,”A-Are you okay? I saw Satoshi was looking a little scared.”
“Oh..” the older woman sighed breathlessly. “It’s a bit scary for both of us.”
“What is?” The girl sat by the other. Taking one of her hands.
Freya could feel Mikumo’s body tremble,”Something that will take me out of the team for a while, I won’t be able to sing with you four on stage.”
“Why. Are you sick?”
“No no.. Freya.. I’m having a baby...” maroon eyes looked down at her lap.
Worry turned to shock. Then shock became wonder. “Really?!” Freya nearly shouted as her eyes filled with glee.
“Hai~ I even wore my sweater to hide my little baby bump today, here..” Mikumo takes the hand she was holding and pressed it onto her middle, for sure was a small bump there.
“Wow..” The rune a top Freya’s head was pulsating with joy. “Don’t be scared Mikumo-san, you’ve got all of us here~” small arms wrap around the purplette’s body as Freya gives her a big hug,”Congratulations!”
Mikumo started to tear up a little, not of fear nor sadness, but of joy. “Arigatou..”

Around 5pm the rest of Walkure had returned from their shopping. Kaname and Makina were emptying their bags as Reina played with the mercats.
Mikumo walks down to the kitchen where her team leader and mechanic was.
“Good Evening..” she said calmly. Kaname looked up from what she was doing.
“Oh. Mikumo. We didn’t know you were home. Thought you were still out with Satoshi-kun?” She asked.
Mikumo sighs,”We came back a bit early. I was feeling a bit under the weather.”
“You? Sick? That’s new.” Makina piped up. “At least you look like you’re feeling better Kumo-Kumo.” She have her a toothy smile as she put some canned food in the pantry.
“Yeah.. sure.” She looked down and played with a bottle of sesame oil.
“There’s actually something else as well. Hey Reina,” Mikumo called to the smallest of their team out in the living room.
“Hai?” Reina called back as she stood and skipped over to the kitchen.
“Mikumo?”
“Kumo-Kumo?” Both in the kitchen asked.
Mikumo just lifted the tank she was wearing and turned to the side. To show off her baby bump.
“I-is that what I t-think it is?!” Makina asked with a stutter. Which was met with Mikumo’s nod. “Kumo-Kumo!” She squeals and bounces up and down.
Kaname was frozen. “We have a concert tonight Mikumo... are you going to sit it out?” She walks over to her companion and touched her shoulder.
“Not this one. I can perform again until I’m showing too much. Please Kaname?” Mikumo begged. Pulling her shirt back down. “I slept most of the day today anyway. I’m alert.”
Makina and Reina held hands in their cutest signature style. “Music is Love, Reina started.
Makina giggles,”Music is Hope~” she connected her fingers to Reina’s making the Walkure symbol.
“Music is Life~” Kaname held a pair of fingers out to Mikumo who smiles softly nodding then she spoke.
“Music is Mystery.” As she connected two of her fingers to also make the symbol of Walkure.
They then heard a loud crash and ran to where it happened. In the living room. Freya had ran to the kitchen to join them. But had ended up on the floor after tripping over Mirage’s Mercat.
“Music is..... Energy!!” She groans out with a smile. Making the rest of them smile and laugh a little.
Mikumo knelt down and helped Freya off the floor.
“So she tell you?!” She asks a bit loudly. Kaname shushed her.
“Yes she did~ How do you know?” Kaname wrapped her arm around Mikumo’s waist.
“Oh. I was home when she and Satoshi-kun came back. He’s up stairs sleeping his shock away~ *wink*” she winks at Mikumo.
“Oh. Definitely can see him trying to calm down after such wonderful news.” Reina said quietly. “Papa..” she whispers.
A slight blush came over Mikumo’s face,”Uhhh Reina~” she waved bashfully at the smaller one.
“We should get ready for our concert.” Kaname spoke out.
“Hai!” The rest accepted.
————————————————————
A two hour concert happened around 9:30 pm to almost Midnight.
——————————————————
Around the second to last song Mikumo was getting a bit out of breath. She leaned forward trying to catch her breath.
“Can everyone cheer on Mikumo-san! Our newly wed of the group!” Kaname shouts into the mic catching Mikumo’s attention.
Loud cheering filled the seats around the stage.
Mikumo’s crimson eyes looked at her leader in confusion.
“You see she’s a bit out of practice!” Makina jokes around.
“Make sure to cheer extra loud for her!! Keep her going!” Freya cheered as well.
Reina checked her personal screen,”Vitals are fine!” She looks at Mikumo who’s in a state of surprise. ‘I was married 5 years ago. Tho..’
Kaname turned off her mic for a sec to talk to Mikumo,”We know, But they don’t~ it’s easier to tell people that you’re newly wedded instead of saying your gonna have a baby. Right?~”
The woman to her right nods and subconsciously reached for her middle. But played it off as her catching her breath with a bow.
“Our last song of the night will be Hametsu no Junjo!” Mikumo called out as their costumes changed. “Then our encore will be Ikenai Borderline! So keep up!”
—————————————————
After the concert was autograph signing. All of the ladies were sitting at their respective places signing T-shirt’s and figurines.
Satoshi had shown up and was sitting with Mikumo. Hiding his face with some sunglasses and a hoodie. “How’d it go?” He asked taking her free hand under the table.
“It went well, was a little out of breath towards the end but I’m fine now~” she reassured him. Squeezing his hand a little.
“Brought you something,” He holds out a little bracelet, engraved with their initials and on the back it made a hologram of the gender of child they would have, it was showing both as its base setting.
“Sato-kun~ I love it~” she leans onto him like a sideways hug.
A fan noticed the couple and ran up to Mikumo’s booth.
“Mikumo-san! Is this your new husband?!” She asks.
Crimson eyes closed as she nods. Making the young girl cheer happily,”Congratulations!!” The fan cheers. This made the singer blush her other hand set in her lap, on her belly. She gave a small smile. “Arigato~”
————————/—————/—————/——
Around 1:30 am the group finally returned back to their home.
All the girls yawn and stretch. Another concert done.
Mikumo sat gently onto the plush couch in the living room. Letting out a long sigh,”You.. are tiring me out already..” she spoke quietly directing her voice to her middle.
“Kumo-Kumo, can we see your belly again?” Makina asked from behind the couch with Reina.
“T-There’s not much to see yet Makina..” she protests with a blush.
“Pwease~~” Reina whines cutely.
“......*sigh* oh alright...” Mikumo sighed reluctantly and patted the cushions beside her,”Sit.”
The two girls sat on either side of her waiting in anticipation. Mikumo tentatively pulled up her shirt showing her belly, and the little mound that was forming there.
“See..” she said wistfully. Then jumped when both girls set their cold hands on her. “Eek! Your hands are cold!” She tries to pull away but she’s surrounded. Kaname was watching from overhead.
“Mikumo the Mama, has a nice ring to it~” she teased.
“Kaname!” Mikumo whines. Which was met with a giggle from the three.
“What do you think you’ll have?” Reina asks with a whisper like tone.
“I’m fine with either, although I want a little girl.” Mikumo smiles.
“Miku~ I’m going to be off tour for a few months so I’ll be here with you~” Satoshi smiles as he leans over the three on the couch.
“But then I have to go back on it for a few months later. I should be back before you have our baby. But. I have a friend who will stay with you too. Because we all know you’ll have to take maternity leave from Walkure.” He leans in and gives her a kiss.
“Who’s your friend?” Kaname asks.
“Oh. She’s from the Isle of Frontier, she is great friends with Sheryl.” He replies.
TBC.

I am definitely not the best at my listening Japanese, and it doesn't help that they speak SO DARN FAST that I have trouble catching all of the words. So, it's possible I'm saying all this stuff while having misunderstood things, missed things, etc.
But, these are my many scattered thoughts on the Daughter of Evil musical, written as I was watching it in full for the first time (so, might not be the best thought out or expressed but still):
-Despite all of the changes, it's interesting to see how many moments appear to be lifted directly from the novels. It does feel like they had a good familiarity with the source material, but for whatever reason chose to make the story different (perhaps in part to have it be a standalone adaptation rather than going into the entire Daughter of Evil series lore).
-"The Orange Coast" is a very nice song, and I like it a lot. In fact, I like a lot of the songs that are exclusive to the musical. The exposition song about the plight of the starving people, the duet between Riliane and Kyle (the irony in that both are fond of each other but as Riliane sings of her excitement for the wedding Kyle is eager to break it off), Clarith's lament after losing Michaela, etc. There's only a few that I really disliked, either because they weren't sung well or because they felt too anachronistic in their instrumentals. However, because they had their own songs the ones that mothy made felt out of place. The only one I think really fit was Regret Message and the eponymous Daughter of Evil.
-The candy castle is pitiful. It's supposed to be an extravagant display of Riliane's utter selfish greed, to have something so large that she can't even eat all of it while her people are starving. It should be at least twice the size that it is in the play--it's supposed to be much taller than the average person, with enough room that someone could conceivably be inside.
-Riliane being unrepentant might be one of the things that pisses off fans the most, but it feels somewhat more appropriate in this adaptation. This version of Riliane shows far more awareness of the evil in her actions and how it makes her look, even taking a more active role in them, as opposed to the more innocent and sheltered Riliane of the book. Her biggest regret in the end is not that she was a horrible person (because she seems to have sort of made her peace with that early on) but that she didn't appreciate Allen's loyalty and devotion to her when she had the chance. Her dismissal of him is far more explicit in this version, where he outright tells her to her face that he's on her side and she just scoffs at him, and she spends most of the story talking about how alone she is. Basically, their relationship is the focus of her character arc rather than her morality. Even her will to live at the end is almost solely because he died for her rather than finding her own reason to live.
-Josephine is a diva and I kind of love it. I don't necessarily mind the addition of ridiculous elements like a talking horse (well, who talks to other horses anyway)--this is a stage play after all. Breaking the fourth wall is kind of an intrinsic part of theatre, and I'm always of the mind that a live performance being entertaining is more important than it being dramatic. But that's just my tastes, I think.
-I will say, the guy who plays Allen is TERRIBLE at the songs they have him sing. That's not to say he can't sing at all, but songs like "I'm a Servant" really show that he just can't hit those notes to save his life. I also don't care much for his acting, it feels a little like he's substituting shouting for emotion. Germaine is sort of the same way, but I don't mind it as much from her because her character is supposed to be boisterous.
-The exclusion of Elluka doesn't really bother me, as she had very little plot presence in the first novel to begin with (note, I don't think she's removed entirely--there appear to be some allusions to her character existing, such as in the early exposition segment with Mariam and Leonhart where she's on the other side of the stage as a hooded figure in shadow). I think it might be possible that they did so as a part of the overall trend of the musical removing the fantasy elements to begin with--no Elluka, no magic, no mention of Michaela as a former spirit (although...there is that vision of her that Allen has, not sure what to make of that), etc. In fact, the inclusion of demons is deconstructed by Keel later in the story, speculating that such things are merely scapegoats people use to hide the evil already lurking within themselves. ...Although, well...Leonhart seems to show up as a ghost...So...
-Michaela and Clarith's dynamic is interesting. It's much more light-hearted than the heavy themes of abuse and emotional recovery in Wiegenlied--Michaela's more of a happy-go-lucky pixie dream girl with no social awareness at all than simply naive about human relationships, and Clarith is down to earth and shy rather than brooding and self-demeaning at every turn (I think maybe because they shifted her into the viewpoint character). Though that might be a result of seeing them after they've already moved to Aceid. One change I found entertaining is that it's Keel who hires them for Michaela's singing instead of Mikina hiring Clarith out of generosity towards an oppressed minority, and as a result Michaela ends up making this big show about how she absolutely must have Clarith with her and that she can't do anything without her. It's cute.
-Keel is supremely entertaining and I like his character in this a lot. He's an excellent choice for outside narrator. Even in the novels he was kind of the one guy that wasn't bogged down by a bunch of emotional drama.
-There are a lot of extreme tonal shifts. Funny things following really dramatic things (Michaela and Clarith's introduction follows Germaine's declaration of war, Kyle being a goofball in the revolution follows Allen's attempts at getting Micheala to safety while struggling with his orders to kill her, etc). I think the biggest and most jarring tonal shift is Josephine defending Allen from Kyle and his lackey, though--that's the one that kind of took me right out of the story, though I will say Josephine's actor is quite good with the dance-battling. This is a big contrast from Evillious--I don't think there are many, if any scenes where mothy deliberately sacrifices dramatic moments for a joke. I don’t know if it’s made worse by the fact that Josephine fighting with a sword may not have been a joke, and it may have been something we were supposed to take seriously.
-I wonder why they kept in the green onion. I guess because it's a good character joke for Michaela, but plot-wise it no longer serves any actual purpose without Elluka and Gumillia. In fact, its inclusion kind of makes Michaela seem a bit weirder as a person, because instead of it being a magical tool that she uses she's just excitedly showing it off to people and coming up with random things you could do with it. It's a little egregious too because, while the girl who sings for Michaela is actually quite good, I don't think her voice is well suited to the "Very Amazing Green Onion" song that goes with it. It's kind of used as a vehicle for Allen's developing crush, but...Well, I'm not sure I'd develop feelings for someone just because they ranted about a vegetable at me for a few minutes.
-Kyle is...a strange fish. I think the reduction of his character to a lovestruck fool makes some sense because this is how he comes off before his character development in the series, and his psychological issues are a little too complex to go into in a two hour musical that's not even about him. So, instead of "this guy was heavily emotionally abused and then possessed by a lust demon", they go with "he's a big enough idiot to cause all this political strife over a crush". He's an outright parody of himself in every way, in every scene (like him being all diva about his Karchess identity). Having his little toady around him (I'm not sure if that's supposed to be Arkatoir or not but I do know he mispronounces Kyle's name) serves as a good balance to the energy of his character, so I think that's well done. But I also can't help but find him obnoxious, and while I think he actually can sing, his voice cracks a lot at bad times. I certainly don't love him like I did his novel character, but then given that this is a stage adaptation I think all of them are a bit more shallow than in the story proper. This is, of course, not taking into account how thoroughly unpleasant he becomes after Michaela's death, but that's somewhat in character, so.
-I question a lot of the costuming choices that aren't based directly on the novel appearances. Minis, for example, does not look like a French minister at all.
-Reina is very good at playing both Riliane's harsh, cold side, and her playful, childish side. But these two sides don't always feel like they come from the same person, which I'm not sure is a credit to the way the character is played or a detriment. It does make for a frightening shift when her murderous declarations come after a childish tantrum (like her declaring war on Elphegort). She is, also, very good at singing, which is notable considering how at least half the other cast is not so good.
-There is a neat little callback during the revolution that I liked--Germaine is introduced as fighting the palace soldiers for fun (and winning) to show off what a brash tomboy she is, and she fights those same soldiers the same way later on (it's kind of sad, actually, as they don't want to fight her).
-The framing of events near the end is actually somewhat interesting--it blends together the green invasion with the revolution, intermixing Michaela's death with the main emotional climax of the plot. The whole play in general feels rushed and lacking in enough time to truly develop all it's trying to accomplish (like, for example, WHY Michaela's death is such a big deal for everyone), but this part is actually well executed. Also note that Michaela was burned alive in this version (Ney spreads a rumor that Germaine is a witch who set the fire).
-I'm not exactly an expert but the fight scenes are decently choreographed and enjoyable to watch (though some of the extras are a bit lackluster in their performance, imo).
-I do like how they blended Chartette and Mariam's fight with Germaine and Gast's--it's a good way to save time without Gast there (I mean, his primary contribution outside of being a Final Boss was the Venom mercenaries causing tension in the country, and there isn't enough time for that so I understand cutting him out too), and has some depth with Chartette moved by Germaine's strength and determination into helping defeat her instead of continuing to defend the palace. We also get to see Mariam as the badass she is, which is nice. Though, I think the song they sing while they're fighting would be better if they weren't clearly running out of breath from the actual physical fighting (I know lip-synching is taboo in SOME circles but having the song pre-recorded might have helped? I don't know).
-I don't know what to make of Ney--partially because she's one of those people that speaks too fast for me to really understand, but I'm also not sure how we're to take her character without all the backstory and latter-end plot relevance behind it. She's certainly creepy, which I suppose is the most important thing. She does seem to have the same role--a double agent for the queen of Marlon--but it's severely watered down by the lack of Prim's presence in the story.
-I know that it's leading up to something heartwarming, but there is something kind of creepy to me about Allen shouting "TAKE YOUR CLOTHES OFF" at Riliane. And in general, I find a lot of the emotional moments undercut by the shouting melodrama of the acting. But, there is something interesting in Riliane actively agreeing to Allen's twin switch after he talks her into it, rather than being tricked into it like in the novel. The depiction of the tradeoff is good too, showing Allen literally taking her place at the guillotine as he monologues his feelings to make it more clear what it is he's doing, with us actually getting Riliane's perspective on the whole thing whereas her emotions on his switch weren't really explored properly in the novel.
-Honestly, I didn't mind the way the revolution ended either. It's...kind of supposed to be a dreary end. That's the point--Germaine's quest for vengeance only served to bring harm to the people she loved, and while they did depose Riliane, who was a genuinely terrible monarch, the ultimate structure of the country with nobles on top remains unchanged for generations afterwards. Germaine being killed sucks, but then if this is a standalone there's really no more need for her character (and killing her is what Kyle tries to do a few years down the line in the books anyway, for the same reasons too. It's also sadly in character for the version of him in this musical).
-I would also suggest that instead of people calling him Kyle, they follow his toady's lead and call him "Kael" instead.
-I actually think Riliane's declaration that she's evil at the end is meant to be...more an expression of her lack of self-worth. When she's escaping she expresses doubt as to how to be a good person, and shock that Allen would give his life for her in spite of who she is. When she says "I regret nothing, because I'm evil", I don't think that's meant to be taken as a boast. I think really the big thing is that this story is made to be a tragedy, not necessarily the Daughter of Evil series' idea of growing as a person. Though, that doesn't mean I like the ending with her telling Clarith to bow to her necessarily--I think it kind of exists just to be a bookend of "this is the Daughter of Evil" rather than giving the audience something to chew on after they leave the theater. They had a perfect opportunity to capitalize on the idea of Clarith and Riliane being similar (lonely people that had someone die in their place, sort of) and bonding over that, but they missed it.
In conclusion: Eh, I liked it. I wouldn’t necessarily watch it again, but if I could ever see it live that might be nice.

Flashback- Two Years Ago
Everything was hazy, my eyes couldn’t focus on anything no matter how hard I tried. I tried to recall if I’d had more to drink than I thought, but I could only remember downing two beers, and trust me, two beers was not enough to get me to this state. My mind reeled as I stumbled forward, pushing through the thick, sweaty crowd of bodies in the house. Vaguely, I remembered that I’d accepted my second beer from an acquaintance, Jack, and it had already been open when it was handed to me. Would he drug me? What could he even gain from that? There were people everywhere at this party, surely they wouldn’t let him go off with me, who’s obviously not in my right mind.
I was wrong. No one stopped him as he came up to me under the guise of helping me, even as I pushed his hands off me and told him to leave me alone. The people we passed looked on as if I was just some drunk chick whose friend was helping her out, even though his hands were sneaking to inappropriate places. No one stopped to ask if I was okay, they all just laughed and said he should get me home as soon as possible, I was that drunk. Jack got me out of that party, despite my loud protests, and to his apartment, that was only ten minutes away. I couldn’t struggle, I could barely form coherent words of protest. I knew what was coming, I wasn’t stupid, and I was terrified.
His apartment was messy, like any other college guy, with pizza boxes and beer cans scattered. There were piles of clothes strewn about, and a random thought of pity formed for his roommate, if he had one, that is. Through the thick fog that was in my head, I could slightly recall a mention of a roommate, and I wondered where he was. I stumbled as he pulled me forward, heels clacking incessantly loudly on the floor. Then the door to his room was opened and closed behind us. He stared down at me, lust evident in his eyes, and I felt the sudden urge to vomit. Tears formed in the corners of my eyes.
“Please don’t do this.” I begged, my words slurring together from whatever he’d drugged me with.
Jack paid my words no attention, acting like he hadn’t even heard them, no emotion resembling guilt passing over his face. The next twenty minutes was the worst twenty minutes of my life. His hot breath fanning over my face as he forced himself on me, the excruciating pain between my legs, his grubby hands on my flesh. I screamed, I cried, I begged him to stop. I thought it would never end, but it did when his roommate barged into the room and pulled him off me. His roommate knocked him out with a few punches to the face and called the cops. Everything was hazy, but that part stood out in my memory quite clearly.
His roommate had delivered blow after blow to Jack’s face, asking harshly if he heard me beg him to stop. He only stopped punching Jack when he heard me let out a loud sob, unable to contain my misery on what had just happened, and he froze, looking at me. He cursed and pulled out his phone, letting my attacker fall to the ground, his face bruising and bloody, and called the police. After that, the next parts were faded, cops and paramedics blurring together, asking me all sorts of questions. I ended up in the hospital and I pressed charges against Jack.
End Flashback
Every so often my mind will dredge up that horrifying memory from the past, haunting me in my dreams, like he’ll come back and do it again. Tonight was the lucky night it seemed, as my unconscious mind fooled me into thinking Jack had gotten released from prison early, and had come back to torture me once more. It was so vivid in my mind, so clear, like he was actually there, and my heart started racing. As soon as his voice filtered into my nightmare, I screamed, terrified that it was about to happen again, that I was about to be raped once more. Distantly, I could feel myself being shaken as I screamed and begged him not to do it.
“Reina, wake up!” A voice shouted, ripping me from the nightmare.
My eyes were unfocused for a second when they opened and all I could see was a blurry, male outline. I started to scream again, thinking it was real, that Jack was actually back. Then the face came closer and came into focus, it was Z. I sobbed in relief, throwing myself forward into his arms. Z was hesitant, but he wrapped his arms around me and allowed my tears to soak his shirt. He gently stroked my back and murmured in my ear that it was just a nightmare, and everything was okay. After I’d managed to calm down, Z pulled back slightly and looked at me with concern.
“Reina, what was that? Are you alright?”
I hiccuped lightly. “I-It was a nightmare about… About- I- Could, could I tell you in the morning?”
Z nodded softly, moving to get up from your bed but you stopped him by grabbing his arm.
“Please don’t leave. I-I can’t be alone right now. Please, stay.” I asked desperately, my eyes wide with fear at the thought of being alone right now.
Z hesitated, but sat back down on the bed when I pulled lightly on his arm. Slowly, I laid back down in the bed, motioning for him to join me, and he did. He laid down facing me, his head resting on the pillow a few inches from mine. It was comforting to have him right there, right next to me, something about him made me feel safe. Cautiously, I moved forward, nestling up against him, resting my head on his chest. I could tell he was surprised by my action, but I couldn’t find the will to explain my behavior, I wasn’t sure how to explain that his presence was easing my fear exponentially.
I fell asleep just like that, curled into Z’s chest, and that’s how I woke up, well, for the most part. Somehow we’d shifted throughout the night, with him ending up on his back, my head laying on his chest. His arm was wrapped around my waist, and one of my hands was splayed on the center of his chest. A smile made its way onto my face, he stayed. I wasn’t sure he would, I thought he might leave once I fell asleep.
“What’re you smiling for?” Z questioned, his voice coming out thick and raspy due to him just waking up.
    “You stayed.” I whisper.
“Of course. You asked me to.” Z rubbed his eyes.
    “Thank you.”
The two of us moved slowly, reluctant to let each other go. As the morning ticked on and we ate breakfast, I explained my nightmare, and the reason behind the nightmare. By the time I’d finished telling Z, his fists were clenched and he was breathing heavily, his eyes squeezed shut. When his fist slammed down on the table, making the dishes rattle and orange juice slosh from the cups, I jumped at the sudden move. Z’s eyes opened and the emotion in them was raw and powerful, he was furious.
“I’m going to kill him.” He seethed.
    “Z, no--.”
“What kind of sick bastard does that? We have connections, we can get to him inside that prison. I swear to God, I’ll--.”
“You’ll what, Z? It’s been over for two years and he’s in jail for it. I don’t even understand why it’s such a big deal to you.” I mutter.
Z turns to me, the outrage showing plain on his face. “You don’t understand why it matters to me?” He scoffed. “It’s a big deal to me, because I care about you. And you didn’t see yourself last night. You were scared out of your mind, I thought… God, I don’t know. I just know that it hurt me to see you so fucking scared.”
“You care about me?” I ask softly.
Z sighs. “Yes, Reina, I care about you.”

The Only Exception (Chapter One)
T’CHALLA X OC
Summary : After SHIELD came down in fire and fury, The Garrison was built to sort the Hydra agents from the Hydra agents from the good guys. Reina is just a computer analyst working for The Garrison when she discovers the deepest darkest secrets Hydra tried to keep secrets for years. Starting with an assassination attempt on the King of Wakanda. Reina finds herself in over her head when she ends up trying to save T'challa.
Chapter One
The sounds of heels clacking sent shattering echoes alongside the ravine. The foggy mist rose and fell underneath the hallowing moonlight and Reina was wishing that she had brought a thicker jacket. She was also painfully aware of the throb at the back of her ankles from the stilettoes she was wearing. Red and beautiful and tall they were a poor choice, but it wasn’t even close to the biggest mistake she had made that night. She clutched the small black handbag next to her a little tighter as she tried not to breath out to hard. It was almost like she could feel the flash drive banging around in her bag. It felt like an explosive ready to go off any moment. She had always been a good girl. Never got in trouble for anything and no one would even question her about doing anything. That’s why she was the one who had to steal the flash drive. The Ravine seemed to stretch on for miles. She still had a long walk a head of her and she couldn’t slow down. Not for anything.
“OVER THERE! I SEE SOMEONE OVER THERE!” That was the shout from near the bridge. Raenia’s breath caught in her throat but she never stopped trotting along, she knew if she started running she would trip and fall and then it would be all over.
“Crap, crap, crap, crap” she repeated under her breath. It wasn’t too bad. The bridge was far enough away that she was still in the clear. She would only start to worry if she heard footsteps any close-
There were several steps that sounded too close for comfort. She turned around and stopped in her tracks. There was nothing but mist swirling around her as she looked around. She could hear nothing but her own shallow breaths now. No more footsteps or shouting. Her heart was pounding now and it seemed to be worse than when she could hear the footsteps. For some reason she couldn’t move any further.
Then was a whisper. Quiet and barely moving like the mist. “move.” It said quietly. She took a step back now involuntarily. “MOVE”
She was running now, not caring about losing her heels or her feet slamming in the cold slimy water.
——————
An hour later she crossed the threshold into her warm and cozy apartment. She sighed in relief as her feet touched soft carpet, not allowing herself to think about how soar and awful her feet were for walking an hour without shoes. She looked down at the bag and pulled it open and checked again. There it was, the shiny silver flash drive glinted at her begging her to open it up.
She should try and shower, get some food inside of her and clean up her feet but she could only think of one thing. She grabbed the drive and let the bag fall to the floor. She trotted over to her dining room table and opened the waiting laptop. As she booted it up she thought about the voice she’d heard in the mist. What was that about?
Finally the laptop was on and Reina plugged in the drive and took a deep breath. A folder popped up and clicked on it every nerve in her body tingling.
A box opened wanting a password for the folder and Reina cursed softly. “Run Encryption” She said under her breath pressing the necessary keys. As the password breaker began to run she got up and went to the kitchen to grab left over pizza she was sure was about a day old. Seeing the encryption was going to take some time she took her bath and washed her feet. Thirty minutes later she sat at the table again feeling marginally better but like her heart was going to explode out of her chest. There was a small computer like sound that meant the password had been broken. Eagerly she began to probe into the files.
“ holy shit.” She said breathlessly after only a few minutes.
——————-
The Garrison was by far the tallest building around the Downtown Washington area and it had the distinct smell of money to it. Tony Stark money is how Reina liked to think of it. The building had been rebuilt from the frail smaller building that was once in its place. Tony Stark has seen to its building personally and you could tell that Tony liked tall buildings. The Garrison was the place where all the shit hit the fan for the bad guys. After SHIELD went down after the nasty Hydra business , someone had to sort the Nazis from the people who genuinely tried to serve their country. That’s where Reina came in. She liked to think of herself as an investigator, a detective even. She was in charge of finding all the electronic paper trails for each case that came her way. Normally she liked it, loved it even exposing the stuff that bad guys thought they had done so well to cover up. She normally didn’t have to leave her desk and when she went home she was done for the day. But not this time. This time she had some information that she had to work for. Information she had stolen. She’d perused every file up and down the night before and reread every piece of information at least twice. It wasn’t at all what she thought she was looking for. She had been on the case of one of the higher ranking Hydra implants, and she thought the information she had risked her life to steal would just be about the crimes he committed to rise higher in SHIELD ranks. But instead she’d found out something that blew a hole in everything she’d every worked on.
Reina entered the Garrison building not stopping to wave or say hi to anyone. She headed straight for the elevator and giving. A sorry glance to someone who asked her to hold the elevator. She didn’t. Up to the 23rd floor she went hardly noticing people getting off and on. When it finally came to her stop she got out and made a hard right. She stood in front of Dr. Jennifer Horn’s door taking a deep breath before she rapped hard on her bosses door.
“ come in.”
Reina pushed the door open and felt like the files in her hand were heavy as a brick. Horns looked up and gave her a small smile.
“ what can I do for you Reina?”
Reina sat down hard and fast in her chair. She didn’t say anything for a moment and Horns gave her a look that said - spit it out - .
“ I was looking into information on the Ferdinand case.” Reina began. Horns nodded as if she expected that this was what it would be about.
“ I was tracing his work, his crimes, receipts and purchases like normal but I kept coming across some bug in my system. I thought it was just maybe some faulty files or something but I kept digging. And I realized the system was glitching on me becuase there were some files that were in the system but not on the system.”
Horns frowned in confusion. “ your the computer nerd here Reina what do you mean they were in the system but not on the system.”
Reina frowned. “ someone manually deleted the files. They did a good job of erasing he data but a really poor job in covering their tracks. The computer recognized that things were missing from the files.”
Horns eyebrow seemed to raise even more “ manually deleted ? From our system? That’s -“
Reina cut her off “ impossible I know. So that’s why I knew I needed to see what were on the files. So I plugged into the mainframe. “
Horns froze. She was quiet for a long moment before she said. “ Reina are you telling me our security breach last night.... was you?”
Reina swallowed heavily. “ yes. “
Horns shook her head violently and wordlessly.
“ look I know I can get fired for this.” Reina said surprising herself with how calm she sounded. “but there’s some information that needs to get out to the right people.”
“ this is - Reina they’ll have your head on a stick!!!!” Horns growled. She picked up her desk phone and started dialing and Reina’s heart fell in her chest.
She began to blurt. “ the information I uncovered laid down the groundwork for some unfinished plans. There is an assassination plan for the king of Wakanda ! “
Horns put down the phone hard and stared at Reina. “ are you absolutely sure about this.” Reina nodded. “ Tonight at the UN meeting.”
Horns sighed and lowered her voice and Reina was more scared now than she had been the night before.
“ listen to me carefully. “ Horns said. “The Garrison has been under attack from the inside for a while now. People have gone missing, information has been stolen and higher ranking officers aren’t doing anything about it. “ Horns sighed. “ I believe the Garrison has just become another Hydra hit job. If I call now and give any of that information to the higher ups. I’m dead and your dead.”
“ wha- what am I supposed to do then?” Reina said stuttering over her words as her heart raced in her chest.
Horns reached into her purse and pulled out a pass attached to a neck chain. It had Horn’s name on it Reina noticed before she grabbed it from her. “ go to the council meeting tonight. Get an audience with the King. Convince him his life is in danger and then get the hell out. And I mean out of Washington. Wait until this blows over before you come back. Go no Reina.” Reina stood blinking fast. How I’m the hell was she going to do all of that?
“ and Reina.” Horns said before Reina left the room. “ tell absolutely no one what your doing.”

Winter 2018: First Impressions
The new year always comes with a bout of unwarranted confidence and energy, and what better way to spend it, I thought, than by keeping entirely up to date with the new anime season. (I say “entirely,” though I have clearly omitted several shounen / fantasy shows out of respectful disinterest, and Citrus, for reasons that may evolve into their own post.) Here are the first impressions of the season’s first episodes. I’ll be checking back in halfway through and at the end of the season to chart each show’s progress. Saa, hajimaruzamasu yo!
Ramen Daisuki Koizumi-san
Though they’ve since been deleted, the first episode of Koizumi-san encouraged two extremely negative reviews to surface on MAL. Why anyone would submit a formal review after one episode is beyond me (get a tumblr blog, you herbs), but why this of all shows should warrant such backlash also confounds me. Yes, it’s silly - it follows goofy lesbian Oosawa Yuu as she follows her crush, the enigmatic Koizumi, from one ramen eatery to another, while Koizumi rebuffs her flirtations and educates her on various ramen cooking styles. It should be pretty fucking clear from this set-up that we’re not in for a thematically dense thrill-ride - why is this Cute Girls Doing Cute Things show apparently that much worse than others with equally pointless premises? All this said, I’m certainly wondering if the show can expand on its small roster of characters and settings to fill a full cour. Stranger things have happened. I’ll be following along, if only to hear more of Ayaneru’s darling voice acting, dreamy sigh.
Yuru Camp∆
(Don’t forget that delta!) This season’s iyashikei delivers exactly what was promised on the package, resulting in not much to say about it at all. I’m not sure the ambience here is quite luscious enough to warrant this many slow shots (cf. Studio Ghibli, Mushishi), but I was never bored, and it looks like we’ll be heading to more slice-of-life settings soon enough anyways. It’s quiet, thoroughly nice, even somewhat educational. Healing as it may be, it’s also definitely a Cute Girls show, and yes, the girls so far are very good. Fingers crossed we get some yuri with that yuru…
Tumblr media
Sanrio Danshi
Ahh, a familiar conflict: a mega-corporation creates / sponsors art that supports progressive politics, but is also using the medium to shamelessly promote their products - cf. Pepsi, Heineken, etc. This time it’s Sanrio fighting restrictive gender stereotypes: why can’t boys be into cute animal mascots too? It’s a sweet message, but the irony of it coming directly from the merchandiser is hefty. Sanrio Boys makes an inoffensive first impression - the titular boys are entirely generic in design and expression, distinguished mostly by their mascot kyara of choice (disappointingly, my lovely Cinnamaroll has been claimed by a boofy-looking doofus). It’s shallow and ironically enjoyable, as most teen-girl-oriented media inevitably is, alas. Here lies another mystifying contradiction: a clearly low-effort show featuring an ensemble cast of five handsome but emotionally vulnerable boys is so clearly aimed at girls, so how is their boys-can-have-feelings-too message even going to land with its supposed target audience? Are the boys themselves just another marketable Sanrio product for girls?? Christ.
Violet Evergarden
Speaking of mega-corporations, Netflix is still on track to subsume all art and artists by 2020 - but hey, they’re putting out some good stuff. Violet Evergarden is a decisive question mark. I’m partial to both its main tropes of “post-war melancholy” and “emotionless person learns to feel again,” but they can intersect respectively with “leaning heavy on the Feels” and “literal objectification of women.” Violet’s emptiness doesn’t make for a compelling main character - it’s strange to see KyoAni’s unparalleled expressivity lavished upon an unexpressive character - and it’s hard to say whether her traumatic past will justify this, or just fall flat. I’m cautiously optimistic for now, and if it all does go south, I’ll always have Sora no Woto to give me the good stuff. (Special shout-out to both all-too-brief timelapse shots. KyoAni, you magnificent bastards.)
Tumblr media
Sora yori mo Tooi Basho
I think it’s understandable that I would enter into this with trepidation - it seemed somewhere between a sports anime and a Cute Girls Etc., both of which can stretch to ridiculous settings. But it seems, in a weird way, fairly grounded. Well, I mean, for a show about high school girls travelling to Antarctica. I’m really hoping they’re not just on their way by episode 2 - Shirase’s struggle with the depressive realism of her ludicrous dream is ripe for exploring in itself. Both the main characters are wonderful; Shirase’s design indicated another taciturn raven-haired maiden (cf. Kousaka Reina), but she’s wonderfully expressive, and I’m always happy to hear Kana Hanazawa doing any voice other than Default Kana Hanazawa. Overall, it’s very nicely animated and paced, quietly comic, and almost definitely going to trip over its absurd premise by the time I next check up on it, but I suspect it will still be a fun, if silly, ride.
Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card
OH MY GOD. I’ve only been living in a post-Sakura world for about 2 years, and this was still a quasi-religious experience; I can’t imagine how this would feel to the fans who grew up on the show. Everything about this is fucking fantastic. I’m losing the ability to criticise. I’m dangerously close to “I can’t even”-ing. The production is perfect, the sakura petals are abundant, there’s a fucking oboe solo stripped-back rendition of Platinum when Syaoran appears, the fucking ED is so beautifully animated. I’m sorry, I’m doki-doki-ing all over the place. This is the by far my favourite of the season so far. Not even Meilin’s absence can sour this for me. (Okay, maybe a little, if I really think about it :c)
Tumblr media
Pop Team Epic
Hmmm. This was preceded by its reputation, evenly regarded by my Twitter feed as “a shitpost in anime form” and “excellent lesbian representation.” Given how dense my watchlist already is, I’m pleased to say I absolutely don’t care about this. It conveys the same humour as short-form absurdities like Teekyuu or Plastic Nee-san, but mostly leans on shallow pop-culture references and crudeness. The face that it’s a full-length show - let alone the fact that the first episode is the same half-length episode played twice - is exasperating. As a fan of Wonder Showzen and the Eric Andre Show, I see the appeal of the style, but it definitely falls short of both such marks. (And though I know this is unfair, it’s a little hard to get into something so well-received by 4chan dipshits.)
Darling in the FranXX
There’s a sexual harassment joke roughly 4 minutes into the first episode - nowhere near Bakemonogatari’s record, and not damning in and of itself, but it unfortunately does reflect the overall tone. This feels like a weird teenage rebellion by Studio Trigger, defying their parent by making their own Evangelion, with blackjack!, and hookers!, and absolutely none of the subtlety or character exploration that made Eva great. Zero Two is a deafening klaxon of fanservice masquerading as a sexually autonomous character - I wanted to believe otherwise, but her fucking robot has nice boobs, and even gets its own panty shot. The robot, which is powered by making out, mind you. I’m not one to hold low-brow shows to higher standards - I will call a fanservice-y spade a spade - but I expected more out of Trigger at this point, especially on the heels of extremely wholesome Little Witch Academia series. Even the mediocre Kiznaiver had loftier goals. I’ll keep tabs on this one - if nothing else, Trigger’s animation style and an excellent OST will sweeten a bitter pill.

Mitchiri Neko
Hard pass. If you’re gonna watch a banal, cutesy, 3-minute runtime cat show - like, if you really need that - watch Bananya.

How to read you like an open book
Title: How to read you like an open book
Pairing: Kazuki (ex.SCREW) x OC
Warnings: wrong spelling and grammar certainly happened
Rating: R? (maybe I should use AO3's ratings, in that case: T)
Synopsis: You never showed your weakness but the truth is I'm your weakness and my weakness is ... me too
Author's note: Some excerpts are better than others, not in a complete chronicle order. I felt like I had to write this to remind myself that Kazuki isn't perfect in a perfect sense. He's beautiful, yes, on the out- and inside but he tells himself he isn't perfect. Of course I want to shout into his face that he's wrong but I can't and won't. Instead I hope he's doing better now even though there are rarely any life signs from him on twitter and his Instagram seems abandoned and forgotten. However, he is a busy man with his bar so I don't complain. Still, I had to remind myself that I shouldn't make him a person he isn't.
I
Dear Kazuki,
I hope you still remember me. It's me, Reina. You know, I miss you, so maybe we could meet? Do you know a nice cafe? I'd be glad to see you again after so many years.
Love
Reina
II
Reina's mail caught Kazuki off guard. Of course he hadn't forget her. It was simply impossible to forget a personality like Reina. All these years ago she stepped into his life just to vanish again because it wasn't right.
Sure, she had looked like a teenager but her words and actions seemed so mature he believed she was gifted with a youthful face. Sadly, she had been indeed a 16-year-old girl and he already 21. Even when the age of consent was officially 13 years, there were extra laws. Some prefectures were okay with a 16 and an 18-year-old, other wanted both parties to be at least 20. But one thing applied for sure: an over 20 year old person wasn't allowed to date someone under 18—at least.
So they bid goodbye—maybe just for then—because everything else would hurt more.
How much did Reina change? Kazuki changed a lot. The hyper young adult was mostly gone. His band was going to disband after a little bit more than 10 years. He lost two band members so that their anniversaries didn't feel quite right. He blamed himself for everything that had happened. Kazuki was the leader and nowadays a worrier too. Yeah, he changed a lot.
At first he didn't know how to reply to Reina. Back then, there was one thing about her that fascinated and frightened him simultaneous. Reina could read him like an open book. When she was still able to do that she would realize what a pathetic man Kazuki became. But Reina was a precious memory and he didn't want her happy smiley face exchanged with a disgusted look.
III
"It's been a long time," a soft voice called out. Without looking up Kazuki immediately knew it was her. He raised his head to flash her a smile but everything stopped around him. Did he travel back in time? He glanced to his finger. No, Aoi's ring was still there—and Kazuki realized he was the only one who changed.
Reina looked no day older. Her face was still one of a 16-year-old despite being 25 by now. She still dressed herself in her white clothes, her now light brown hair in a low messy bun, covering her ears completely. Even her tender smile was the same.
It was like they never parted.
Her smile got even wider. "I'm so happy to see you again," she declared and occupied the free chair opposite of him. "How are you, Kazuki?"
Before he could answer a steaming cup of chocolate cappuccino was put in front of her from the waitress. He didn't know how to answer. Reina didn't change so her ability to read him was probably still there. He couldn't lie to her and didn't want to when he was honest with himself. But what to say? That he was good? He wasn't good. That he was doing fine? Nothing was fine. The band he worked for and with stood at its end. "I'm still with SCREW," he heard himself say. That wasn't particularly a lie.
Reina still smiled. Good. "I'm glad to hear that. That's a nice ring. You seem to treasure it."
"It's from Aoi-niisan," Kazuki answered proudly. He got a ring from his idol. For what else could he wish for?
Reina took a sip from her drink. "Oh, you got really close to your idol. Impressing."
"Yeah, I did. But what about you Reina? What are you doing now?" They shouldn't talk about him only. Like this she would find out how pathetic he became.
"Ah, I work at a bridal shop," she told him with a bright, enthusiastic smile. Kazuki wouldn't have guessed that but to be honest he wasn't sure what to expect from her at all. Probably he wouldn't even be surprised when she said she was a muse for an artist. She was an inspiring person. "And sometimes I try on the dresses for the next season. My boss has to know which dresses she can buy so that they won't be laying around in the shop without being sold."
A little laugh came from Kazuki. Reina with her white clothing in a shop where mostly white dresses were sold. "I imagine you sometimes just vanish between the aisles."
"Yeah and sometimes women ask me if I wear an actual short summer wedding dress and I'm just like 'No, I always wear white'," she giggled and took another sip from her drink. Then her hand reached over the table to grasp his own. Her smile faded a little bit so that she looked more serious. "I'm happy to hear you laugh. You seemed so down all the time. That makes me sad as well."
Of course she knew it.
IV
The city lights of Tokyo painted Reina's face while she sat next to Kazuki in the passenger seat of his car. Now she seemed down. None of them said anything and Kazuki waited for her to say something. He wasn't sure what he did wrong. He only mentioned her 26th birthday was near—on the 31st of October, one day before his last live. There was nothing wrong with it.
Suddenly she let out a shaky sigh. "I can't stand it when you're sad," she murmured in the quietness of the car. The noise from outside was far away in this moment. "Then I'm sad as well. And I want you to be happy."
"What are you talking about, Reina?" Kazuki couldn't grasp the context. What had her birthday to do with that?
Another shaky sigh. Longer this time. "Do you really think I haven't followed your career? I know what will happen on the 1st of November. I own every single and album and live DVD you ever published. Watched all shows of you, read all blog entries of you. You were always an honest person and I love you for that. But it broke my heart every single time you wrote about struggling and being a useless leader. And I hated the fans who left you because of the Yuuto/Rui thing. They were against Rui and with that they basically cut off their trust in you. 'You' in you, Kazuki. Rui-san was your friend long before SCREW was founded. You were so fond of him and your so called fans stomped on your opinion like dirt."
"Reina." Kazuki wanted to calm her. How could he believe she knew nothing? She always liked his way of playing. Could listen to him without saying anything while he thought about new music to write. Sometimes he even thought he actually saw Reina between the fans. Of course not in white. Reina only wore white during the day. When she went out she preferred black and open hair. At night you could see her always hidden ears with her stretched lobs she had back then.
"No!" she cried out. Kazuki wanted to hug her, to embrace her but he couldn't. He was driving a car. "Can't you understand it always hurt me? You changed so much and the you I know slipped away so much and still you are you Kazuki. You always put the failures on your side and then you were so down. You lost two members and had four line-up changes. I understand that's hard but you never lost your specific presence. You survived ten years. Ten. That's a lot. And in a few weeks everything will be gone. But I won't. I will still listen to your music and watch your lives. Laugh when you stumble during your solo in Nanairo at your 5th anniversary or scream with the fans when you really threw your shirt away at your 7th anniversary and cry in the middle of your solo of Nanairo at your 8th anniversary. How you communicate with the fans; that you really love what you do, warms my heart. Then I'm happy too. Don't you want the person you love to be happy?"
For the first time Kazuki saw Reina's weak side. He was her weak side. She cried and he couldn't hold her. Her tears danced in the city lights on her cheeks. Reina let them be. His left hand left the stirring wheel to lay down on her thigh. Rubbing it slightly, reassuringly. And then her last sentence sank into his mind. "You love me?"
"It's so you to only hear that," Reina sniffed and Kazuki wanted to say 'No, I heard everything; it's just so surprising' but she wasn't finished yet. "Of course I do. How can I not? You're such a great person. I already did back then and still do. I've never stopped loving you. It's impossible Kazuki. You always were more than a precious memory."
You too, Reina.
V
"Excuse me?"
Kazuki looked up. When did the cafe get so crowded? A young girl in a white jacket stood at his table and had a curious look on her face. Water droplets from her wet messy hair dripped slowly onto the hard wood of said table. "Yes?"
"Is this seat free? It's already so crowded because of the rain and my foot hurts a little," the girl explained and nodded to the big cafe windows where you could see running people with umbrellas or something else to save themselves from the cold water. Kazuki nodded. He couldn't let the girl standing around while having pain in her foot. With a sigh she sat down immediately. "Thank you very much. The rain came without any warning and while trying to enter the cafe I stumbled."
A waitress came to his, now their table. "Do you want something to drink, miss? And a new coffee for you maybe?"
The girl who was just trying to get out of her jacket—revealing even more white clothes—made an approving sound. Finally she was out of her jacket and took the menu from the table. "A hot chocolate please, without cream," she answered calmly.
"Another coffee sounds great," Kazuki added. With that the waitress left them alone.
The girl laughed suddenly, quietly. "Why do I even look at the menu? I always take the same," she mumbled to herself. Meanwhile she pulled her rubber band out of her hair while trying to fix her eyebrow-long bangs with the other hand. With a rather content expression she made a new still rather messy bun, pulling at strands to cover her ears completely. "I hope you don't mind me doing my hair," she said apologetic after she finished.
Kazuki shook his head and tried to concentrate on his music sheets again. He was good at blending out his surroundings so composing music in a cafe was no problem for him. But somehow the presence of the girl distracted him. Maybe because of her calm way of talking or simply because she was a really beautiful girl. Even though it was strange that she clothed herself completely in white. Together with her blond hair she looked like the pure, innocent girl some men fantasized about.
"No, it's alright." Their orders were brought.
"Ah, I'm glad. My roommate hated it. Especially when people do each other's hair. She flipped out like there's no tomorrow." She took a big sip out of her mug. Kazuki noticed the long black finger nails which didn't fit her appearance. After setting down the cup again she looked in front of him. "Oh. Are these music sheets? Sorry, I didn't want to interrupt you."
"You didn't, don't worry. I missed out ideas before you asked for the seat, anyway," he replied quickly to ease down her upcoming worries.
"That's stupid. So you are a musician? Cool. I can't even play an instrument." She opened her eyes a little bit more and seemed like a little doe with her dark brown orbs. Her body leaned in a little bit more. She was clearly interested. "No muse? Not even something to inspire you?"
"Sadly not. Interested?" With a laugh he wiggled his pierced eyebrow and she too answered with a soft giggle. "I play the guitar."
"Oh my god, even the flute was too complicated for me," she admitted her obviously nonexistent musical talent. "Your strange haircut in blond tells me VK maybe? So you probably play rock music?"
Was his haircut really that strange when his hair wasn't styled? Probably every haircut that wasn't perfect in an even messy way seemed strange to her. "You know VK?" She didn't look like it at all. Of course Kazuki knew not all girls who came to their lives dressed in black and wore heavy make up but one like her wasn't in the crowd as well.
"Yeah but I haven't found a favorite band yet. What's your band name? I'm interested." She smiled widely and clapped her hands one time.
Surprise took over Kazuki's expression. "Um, SCREW. We are SCREW," he answered and added, "and I'm Kazuki by the way."
"Okay, I'll look out for SCREW. Perhaps you see me at a live. My name's Reina."
VI
Kazuki loved the stage. Up there he could play the guitar as much as he wanted to. Their fans seemed happy and rocked out together with them. Of course most of them came because of Byou and Yuuto but someday they would know his (and Jin's) name as well. And then they would come for SCREW and SCREW alone. They only played a few songs before another band took their place on the stage. Even though it was tiring playing in the hot lights it was way too short. He wanted to play forever and show SCREW to all of the world.
At the end before they had to leave the stage he threw his pick into the crowd and for a short amount of time he thought he saw the girl from the cafe, Reina. But there was no girl in white with a blond messy bun. Maybe SCREW wasn't the band she was looking for either. Kazuki had hoped otherwise. She was such a nice person and which musician didn't want a nice, not crazy fan?
While the next band played they went to the lobby of the live house to sell their CD's and trying to get new fans. More girls than imagined even wanted his autograph. That made Kazuki happy. They knew who he was except for 'the blond guitarist'.
"I'd like to buy every CD once please," a calm girl's voice said and Kazuki stopped looking after the last girl who wanted his autograph. Wasn't that Reina's voice? Was she really here? His gaze flickered to the person in front of him. The white clothes were gone for black ones and the bun made of all hair was exchanged for a smaller one at the upper back of her head. A little bit silver shimmered on her ears under the thin layer of hair which wasn't part of the bun. Most of the Reina he met was gone, only the long bangs, doe eyes and soft voice were left.
"Reina?" he asked rather dumbly.
"I promised to come, didn't I?" She smiled and put her hair behind her ear. That's why she hid her ears. Obviously she loved piercing her ears like Kazuki himself and they didn't really fit with her other appearance. Three lobes, one stretched with a dangling earring as accessory and an industrial. Not much but too much in the Japanese culture. "Surprised?"
"Yeah, thank you for coming. Did you like it?"
"If not, would I buy all your CD's at once?" she asked back. "I really like your way of playing the guitar and your stage presence is awesome. You loved being up there." No question, a clear statement. "You live for the music and your band."
"I do," was all he could answer. Was it really that obvious or did she read him like an open book. Who was this girl? In this moment he wished she just had a youthful face and wasn't a teen anymore. He wanted to know her more.
VII
Reina's hand laid in his all the way to his home. She was still as small as back then. Once his front door was locked from the inside his lips found their way to hers. He had only kissed her once. All the years ago. Her lips didn't taste the same anymore, they tasted way better. He let go of her hand to pull her close to him on her hips. Hers found their way into his hair. They made their way to his bedroom and nearly tripped over Shishimaru who immediately sniffed at Reina's leg. Checking if the unknown woman did no harm to his owner.
Reina stooped their kiss to reach down and pet Shishimaru's head. Showing him she was nothing dangerous. "What a cute little boy," she purred and her attention went back to Kazuki. "Sorry. You know I love cats. So, where were we?" Her smile turned into a mischievous one. Kazuki wasted no second to pull her back. He wanted her since their live back then and now no law stood between them.
His legs hit the end of his bed. With a little push he sat down and Reina made herself comfortable on his lap. Their lips found each other again, parting in the process. Their first and back then only kiss was an important memory but this kiss was full of desire. His hands embraced her body again, fingertips feeling the zipper on the back of her dress. Certainly it was hard for her to open it herself. Smirking into the kiss he helped her without asking. Her response was her hands sliding under his shirt, brushing his nipples. He gasped and now she smirked.
Again she stopped their kiss and smiled softly. Her hands slid back, taking his shirt into her hands and pulled it over his head. And then, she left his lap, standing right in front of him; with a little frown on her lips.
"What's wrong?" Kazuki asked confused. He was an open book, she was one with seven seals.
"Ah, I know you hadn't it around 2008 anymore but I miss your navel piercing. I bet you were really sensitive around your navel." Her fingertip grazed from his collarbone down to said navel.
"I didn't like it anymore."
"But I did," Reina pouted. "Oh well, I can't change it. So I stop now, okay?" She turned around. Wait, she wanted to stop everything? Kazuki wanted to hold her back but she only took the two rubber bands out of her hair, freeing it. It fell down immediately because long thick hair like hers was heavy. It looked silky and wavy. Some locks more curled than others hence being wrapped around each other all day. Her hair seemed to be healthy. Perfectly cut at the middle of her thighs, losing no bit of their volume. Her back was completely covered, leaving everything to Kazuki's imagination.
Reina slipped the fabric of her dress off her shoulders, leaving white cloth and lace on the ground. She was so pale, even more pale than Manabu who always claimed being too pale. Her head turned into his direction allowing a perfect view of her profile. Her pout was exchanged with a smile again. And she turned back to him. When Kazuki would have been still as young as back then his mouth would have flipped open but he was over thirty and had seen several women in their underwear. One thing was different though.
"I feel like we have just married and left our own party for the wedding night," he remarked. It was because of the white dress laying on the ground and her of course also white underwear.
Reina laughed out loud and sat back on his lap, her skin milky white against his own. "For that the marriage plus party has to be perfectly planned otherwise you're way too tired."
"How- Ah, right, bridal shop," he remembered. Of course she chattered with the future wives about their partner and marriage—and underwear.
"Yeah but believe me. My bralette is way healthier than any wedding bra our shop sells. I wouldn't dare to wear a bra on my marriage or anytime else. Do you know how uncomfortable they actually are?" she asked without expecting an answer. Of course Kazuki didn't know that but Reina was the first woman he heard complaining about bras. Her hand found his shoulder, pressing him down. "I think we should stop stopping all the time. How does that sound?"
"Perfect idea."
VIII
Her lips had tasted like cherries. He wanted to kiss her again, seeing her cheeks blush. Blush because of him. But a question popped up in his head he always forgot to ask. "How old are you again?" Please say eighteen or older, please.
With her red-kissed lips she looked at him. "Sixteen. Why do you ask?"
No. That couldn't be true. Why was she really that young? He couldn't date her. Not even kiss her. She was a minor, he was an adult.
"Fuck."
"What's wrong?" For the first time he confused her, not the other way around. "Kazuki? Please tell me your problem. Why are you so closed off so suddenly? Did I do something wrong?"
Kazuki hid his face between his hands. "You don't act like a teen. I hoped you are older."
Reina raised her left eyebrow, taking his hand. "You moved out with fifteen as well. Was this a teenage behavior as well? What's so bad about being sixteen?"
"I know, I know but me moving out is another matter. Reina, I'm 21. I can't date a minor. At least no minor under eighteen."
A blank expression covered her face, hand slipping away. She lowered her head, playing with her fingers. "You sound like an adult all off the sudden," she mumbled, not looking at him. "I don't like it at all."
Now, both of them were disappointed. "It's the law," Kazuki tried to save everything from going down even more.
"Forget the law. I like you and you like me, right? Nobody has to know. I'm an orphan anyway-" She stopped suddenly, looking back at him. For a long time Reina didn't say anything. "I sound like a bratty teen I never wanted to be, sorry. Maybe, it's the right decision. We can't help it." She stood up, a sad smile on her face.
"Reina ..."
Her finger stopped him from talking further. "I'll go now, Kazuki. We will date other people and someday we meet again. Farewell." She sounded like she wanted to cry but no tears fell.
Kazuki knew since back then that right decisions can hurt the most.
IX
Though Reina worked in a bridal shop and always looked like a summer bride she never wanted to get married. "I feel like I'll be stripped down of my freedom if I say yes to anyone," she confided to Kazuki later at night, being embraced by him. "I mean hen and stag parties are about that, right? About losing basically freedom and hence you have to party, get drunk and go to strip clubs. I hate that. Traditions are simply peer pressure from the dead."
Kazuki hugged her tighter, feeling her smooth skin next his own, lips pressing down tender kisses on her neck. As a man who wanted a big, big family—especially after his grandfather died this year and never had a good relationship with his oldest brother—that wasn't something nice to hear. Children were rare nowadays and no unmarried woman wanted kids when she was happy with being unmarried. Women wanted to make careers as well. In Japan, a woman with children was unable to do so. "What about me?" He was curious.
"Hmm, you?" She yawned a little bit, drawing circles into the bed sheets. "You would've two stag parties and both would be a blast you won't remember probably. One with your friends of course and another with your beloved Aoi-san because he's that special. Maybe you wouldn't forget about the latter." Again, her soft giggle escaped her lips.
It was an interesting opinion, really. "No, I meant if you would marry me."
Silence. He could hear his wrist watch ticking. Or a pin needle dropping to the ground. "Did you just propose to me?" she asked, eyes closed. "Or do mean if I would feel like in a cage when married to you instead?"
His first thought was 'the latter' but he wasn't so sure about that anymore. He could imagine Reina being the mom of his future kids, maybe even waiting for him every evening to come back home. But that was it. Reina wouldn't be the housewife many men wanted, she wanted to work and her freedom. Her husband wouldn't be allowed to slack off or just be the great weekend-dad. To be honest, Kazuki would do nearly everything Reina demanded in a marriage if it made her happy. "Both ... I guess."
"That's honest, Kazuki. I wouldn't mind but we have just met after ten years. Isn't it too much?"
Kazuki didn't answer, just pressed his face between her shoulder blades, shaking his head. They were both hopeless.
X
Kazuki wanted that his parents saw him at his last live and tell them also about Reina and their plans. His father wasn't able to anymore. A month before SCREW's end Kazuki had called his home only to learn that his father had disappeared. The day after that his brother told him they found him—dead. He didn't know what to do anymore. He loved his father dearly and came after him. They never talked much but that wasn't the matter. They understood each other without words.
Reina came to visit later in the evening. After seeing Kazuki's face as he opened his door she already knew something happened. In an instant he fell into her arms, hugging her desperately and began to cry before his door was even closed. There were two ways of crying. One where you actually looked good and the other one being ugly. This was the latter and made even more clear that Kazuki wasn't okay. But Reina felt a little bit at peace because Kazuki was willing to show her his dark, ugly hours and letting her be a part of it.
With her foot she kicked the door shut and let them sink together to the ground. Instead of asking she just hugged him back, fondling slightly Kazukis neck and hair. Nothing mattered while they were sitting there, hugging each other. Reina wanted to know what exactly had happened. She knew that most of the hyper Kazuki was gone and left a weak man behind but he cried rarely. Back then when SCREW was going major his eyes had been a little wet at the concert. But that was it.
"My father died," he finally sobbed and was hit directly with the knowledge that his was father was indeed dead. That he hadn't dreamt about the call from his brother and hearing his mothers cries in the background. "He'll never come back. He won't see our last live. Mom's all alone now. Why are all people dear to me dying so fast? My grandma, granddad and now my father. Hell, I'm even missing Milk again. Please don't leave me too, Reina."
"I won't. I promise."She felt his tears dripping down her neck. "I'm sorry."
"For what?" she mumbled softly, drawing eights into his back to ease his pain. "For crying? For being sad about the loss of your father? For showing your emotions? For being weak? Kazuki, you don't have to be strong all the time. You'll suffer even more than already do. Be honest with yourself and be honest with me; that's all that matters at the moment." Her voice was like magic, soothing and caressing. Her words hit him deeper than this tragedy. "I never lost anyone. I don't even know why I grew up in the orphanage in the first place. I never had a family so I don't know how it's like to lose a part of it. But Kazuki, I consider you as my family. You proposed to me, right? I don't want to lose you."
And now, both of them cried. Nobody wanted to let go of each other. They needed each other. Needed them to reassure they were there and wouldn't vanish into the depths of nothingness. Their actions clearly said 'I'm there. Don't worry. We will go through it together. You are not alone.’
XI
Though Reina said at their parting that they would date other people before they'll meet again, she never did. She didn't lie about loving Kazuki ever since they met each other. One may think now she wasn't able to tell apart love and sex. That's not it. As simple as it was, she never met a man who caught her interest like Kazuki did. No one was worthy enough to even kiss her. And, she didn't care about being a virgin. First of all, for a japanese woman (or man to be exact) that was nothing new anymore. Second, when she didn't care, it was her decision and the man shouldn't care as well.
Only problem—she was an honest person so she had to tell Kazuki at least afterwards. Of course, he reacted not in the way Reina herself would've reacted. "But why didn't you tell me? I would've-"
"It was good, Kazuki. I felt no pain or what so ever. Do you really think I would keep my mouth shut? I don't fuss over virginity like others do. I wanted it, okay? Do you remember you once openly admitted in an interview that you like sex? Laugh at me but you radiate an aura of experience and most experienced people don't want a virgin because they are scared and harder to handle." With this she rolled them around so she could stare into his eyes from above.
A tint of a rosy blush crept up to his cheeks. Reina let out a soft laugh at this sight. "I wouldn't have guessed it at all. In all your actions you felt experienced."
And now she laughed even more. "That's who I am—an experienced virgin. Isn't it like that normally when you don't fuss over things? That you are more at ease with it? Everything's okay, really. I felt good and loved. Isn't that enough? And it will get even better with time and practice, right?"
"How about now?"
"How about yes?"
XII
Kazuki was the only of his brothers who cried, standing next to his mother and lent her his shoulder. Everybody was clad in black. A lot of the locals came as well to wish his father farewell. His family lived in a small, rural area near the mountains of Tottori so the news about the accidental death spread immediately. Of course, most of the local actually in searching the missing man. Besides that, Kazuki's father was well known master chef in their town.
Reina stood a little bit away hence she didn't knew Kazuki's father personally. Also, she wanted to give the family time for them alone. To grief and say farewell. It was the first time in more than ten years that she didn't wore white during the daytime. Meeting Kazuki's family under these circumstances was cruel. Reina wanted to pay respect as well.
After a long time only Kazuki and his mother stood together, everyone else went home, giving them time as well. Kazuki's gaze stopped on Reina, standing there all by herself, looking to them as well. He gestured to her to come closer. "Mom, I originally wanted to tell you two that after our live as a surprise but since nothing went the way I wanted to—that's Reina."
Reina bowed deeply. "I'm so sorry. Nobody deserved this end." In an instant she knew that Kazuki's looks came from his mother who looked good despite the teary face.
"Thank you, Reina-san. You seem like a good woman for my little boy. Kazuki, is she good to you?" The woman smiled faintly, happy to hear there was at least something good in all this tragic, ugly mess.
"She was the one who told me it's okay to cry. Was there for me ever since all this shit happened. Mom, I want to marry her. Maybe not now or next year but I will," Kazuki answered firm. "Do you think dad would've liked her too?"
"Of course, Kazuki. He is now looking down on us, giving his blessing to both you. I'm sure of it." And just in this moment the sun found its way through the cloudy sky. His mother smiled knowingly. "And I'll get a second daughter. You know, I love you three dearly but I always missed a little girl running around in our house. If you are okay with it, Reina-san."
"Of course I am. And you will be the mother I never had." They were even.

Many tears were during and after the live on 1st November. That was it; RIP SCREW. Despite the changed circumstances his mother still visited Tokyo. She stood next to Reina, both with backstage passes from Kazuki, when the band noticed them. Part of Byou's family was there as well but everybody knew Kazuki had no younger sister and his sister-in-law was a classic japanese beauty, so of course they stared with still teary eyes at her.
For the first time Reina didn't know what to say. Good job? Farewell? Thank you? All of it? None of them? Instead "Ah! This hat!" left her mouth while pointing at Kazuki's hat. It looked weird and one second later she grasped that thing between her long black finger nails.
"Did you just stole my hat?"
"No. I freed you from it," she retorted, completely forgetting the more or less gloomy atmosphere.
Byou and Jin still stared at her, thinking really hard. "You are," they began at the same time, looking weirdly at each other. "You were the girl Kazuki was so excited about after a concert," Byou finished, proud about himself and his memory. Jin nodded eagerly.
"Um?" Manabu mumbled confused, "Which concert?"
Before answering Reina bowed at him. "Back then in 2006, you weren't a part of the band yet, Manabu-san. That's the first time since then that I haven't left the venue right after the concert." So Kazuki was right about seeing her in the audience throughout the years.
His mother patted her shoulder. "Kazuki, you know her for ten years already and I only met her last month?"
"We met again a few months ago and didn't stay in contact before that," Reina explained. "We broke up because I was only 16 and Kazuki didn't want to break the law because of dating a minor."
"And all this time you had no contact at all and now you want to marry?" Kazuki's mother was stunned and everyone else around too. His mother just dropped the bomb. "I'm impressed. You really love her. I'm so proud of having a son like you, Kazuki."
"Mom, stop it. That's embarrassing."
XIV
While their last live ended better thanks to Reina and his mother, Reina's birthday one day prior had been a mess. He woke up first—Reina was at his place nearly every day now—and thought when she didn't change, her favorite breakfast was still pancakes with chocolate drops. When he woke her up, the tray with pancakes, chocolate cappuccino and coffee on his night table, she began to cry after congratulating her.
Her birthday reminded her now that tomorrow everything would end. Her favorite band would disband after ten years eating too much shit and not getting enough attention. Sighing, he put Reina into a sitting position between his legs, her back to his chest, putting the tray on her legs. Pressing soft kisses onto her messy hair he cut the pancakes, almost blind because he could just stare at Reina's trembling figure.
After he was able to put a few parts into her mouth, she put the tray away again, turning around and hugging—no clinging to him. "You won't leave me, right? You won't disappear after tomorrow, right? You'll be still there, right? I feel like I will lose you when I'm not looking," she sobbed, hard.
Had he been like this last month as well? Had Reina been scared because she didn't knew what to do? Probably not. She wasn't like him. Times like this were her only weak times. But he was scared and utterly useless. But he wasn't, right? Just like she did for him, Kazuki had to reassure her as well. That he was right here and wouldn't vanish—not even in the depths of his worries.
Instead of saying something he let her drench his shirt with tears first, waiting for the moment she could hear him again. Outside of his window, the sun disappeared and rain clashed against the glass. Was mother nature feeling pity for Reina or was it a mere coincidence?
"Reina? Can you hear me?" he asked, quiet and a little bit wavering. Was he doing good? "I'm here, okay? A part of me will leave with SCREW, yes, but I'm here. And I will be tomorrow. And the day after. I promised to marry you, how can I leave you then? Things will change from now on but we have each other."
He felt her nodding on his shoulder, their piercings making weird metal sounds as their ears rubbed against each other in the process. "I feel like I can understand you better now. I'm always acting like I know everything about you. It's hard to face your own weaknesses. You feel lost and vulnerable and like the world is against you. It's frightening. I'm sorry for always acting so mighty."
Rubbing the small of her back, Kazuki just thought Don't be. You did nothing wrong. The only problem had been her being too young but he couldn't blame her for that.

"Why ten years?" Kazuki asked in the middle of a movie. Since this movie actually interested Reina, she was completely confused when he suddenly said something. Caught off-guard like him as he received her letter.
"I ... when I finally turned 18 you seemed okay. Yeah, you had trouble with Yuuto leaving but you got better when Rui became one of you. Though you had already changed it got worse when Rui left. I could see it in your blog posts and I read reports from others, being concerned about you. And then you announced SCREW's disbandment and I couldn't wait anymore. I thought you needed someone. I thought you needed-" me was what she wanted to say. "Am I being selfish?"
"No—no, you aren't. You know, I was afraid of meeting you again. You always read me so well. I was sure you could tell immediately that I've become some pathetic man. When you're selfish then I'm selfish too because I need you to forget that I'm pathetic."
Reina's fingernails scratched his thigh above his pants, brows a little bit furrowed. "You aren't. Do you know what that's called? Being human. It's normal. You're truly strong when you can admit your weaknesses."
Kazuki always believed Reina had no weaknesses but the truth is, he was always her weakness and his own.
