I'd say Megumi for this! My reasoning is because Megumi is kind of the same like you with the closed off part but once you open up you're like a whole different person. I feel like the two of you could open up together and feel comfortable with each other once you do open up with him. Also because I think he'd treat his partner really well even while for the most part being closed off he would probably still care to your needs and try to figure out what would make you happy and feel safe with him because he just wants you to feel safe and comfortable. :) I just know he's a sweetheart under his front so he definitely would be loving to you if you two are in a relationship. workspace love ✎ 010 || Abalones
He’s way too early.
Akaashi tapped his pen against the desk. His glasses slipped down his nose as he stared at the rough sketch outlines for Tenma’s new volume. Yet, that wasn't the point.
(Even though work came first…)
He was too early. Now, it wouldn't be a problem truly. Since he always arrives earlier than Tenma on occasion. Yet, now that there's a third party…that third party is you. It may be an inconvenience when you arrive. Then you would try to arrive earlier than the scheduled time and that would be wasting your time.
He's overthinking too, it's a habit he’s afraid will be a forever one. Here’s another thought, he already saw you today wouldn't it be indecent to see you again? He should've chosen a different time and day to meet and then, to have this meeting so suddenly is another thing-.
“Akaashi! You’re early?” Your question had a hint of surprise to it. Well, you both were. It had been a while till either of you should be there.
“Ms. Y/N, I could say the same thing.”
Well, in actuality you knew this place like the back of your hand seeing how your best friend owned the place. Taking a small glimpse of the building's sign which had read: ‘Onigiri Miya’ with a small rice ball as its logo.
“Please drop the formalities, it's killing me.” You sighed walking over to the small table and sitting down. Akaashi seemed to absently smile at your words, “Fine if you insist, Y/N.”
Maybe the formalities were saving me from absolute embarrassment.
Changing the subject you pointed to the door. “Well, ahem while we’re waiting for Tenma I can go buy us something – my treat! As thanks for this morning!”
Akaashi interjects, shaking his head. “I couldn’t make you do that, it isn’t like I was forced to take care of you.”
“Well, I wouldn’t want you to pay for me.” You insisted, watching Akaashi suddenly get up. Making you follow suit, he chuckled at your mannerisms. He opened up the door for you letting the soft chime of the bell alert the employee’s other customers have arrived. Sighing in contentment, you never got uninterested in the shop that Osamu was always very proud of. Your eyes even landed on the big shirt on display. Which was no doubt Atsumu Miya’s by the obvious last name printed and the number ‘13’ under it.
Keiji studied the menu from afar, slightly muttering to himself. “So, what are you feeling up to Y –.”
“Y/N?” A new familiar voice had appeared making you look in the direction of it.
Osamu stood behind the counter wiping his hands on his apron. “You didn’t say you were coming.” He paused, taking notice of Akaashi. “So this must be –“
“NO – I mean.” You choked out, okay it may seem like you don’t want these two to meet it’s exactly the opposite! But, knowing Osamu... He could just nonchalantly ramble about how Keiji made a way into the group chat's main discussion without even being a part of it! You may be shameless but your embarrassment will only go so far.
while Akaashi gave you a confused look before turning back to Osamu. “I’m sorry? Have you heard something about me that I should be aware of?” You shrink back once you feel Akaashi’s gaze on you. You give a semi-awkward life as you wave your hands at him, silently dismissing his gaze. “Actually I –”
You glare at Osamu shaking your head as he only stares blankly at you in return. Osamu sighed, dusting off his apron, before continuing. “Actually I haven't, you seemed like a familiar face, it was my mistake.” You felt the breath you were holding release as you cleared your throat. “But, besides that whole mishap, what can I get you two today?”
Akaashi hummed, studying the menu above Osamu’s head. “What about the abalone?” He asked. The mere mention of the seafood made you heave, suddenly Osamu cut in. “Y/N doesn't like abalones.”
Akaashi glanced at you. By the way his demeanor was you already felt as though he wanted your answer instead of Osamu’s. “You don’t eat abalones?”
Please don’t put me on the spot like this.
Your lips pressed in a thin line and you shake your head. “But! it's not like I won't eat it.” you won't eat it.
You’re pretty sure Akaashi knew that too. “Well, I won't force you to eat anything you wouldn't like. Here, go ahead and order anything you’d like. I'll pay for you.”
“Uh – well, when you put it like that let's see!” You chuckle your eyes scanning the menu, which makes Osamu sigh. “You’ve been here countless times, I already have your favorites memorized.” Osamu rolls up his sleeves disappearing into the back of the kitchen.
You crossed your arms huffing a bit. “Y/N I hope you don't mind me asking, but how exactly do you know him?” Akaashi seemed to bring you back from your silent curses directed at the man who disappeared.
“Oh, well. He’s my best friend but don’t mind him. I'm sure his brother screwed him over, that's why he's in a funk.” You wave off his behavior before humming. “Hey you know I could’ve eaten those abalones I’m no child!”
Akaashi smiled, shaking his head. “What? And make you force down something you don't like?” He was silent for a moment before chuckling. “You know I should after the events you pulled last night.”
“WA?! Don’t put it like that!” Keiji laughed at your reaction. “Y/N you’re one to talk you know.”
You laugh, shaking your head. Okay, now you’re recalling all of the out-of-hand comments you make daily with him. “Okay, okay fine. I’ll give you that but I didn’t expect you to rebuttal against me like this.”
“When I think about it, It’s pretty easy to tease you. You leave quite a lot of openings.” He explained. You rested your hand against your cheek humming. “Psh, you always act as if you hate me! I don’t know if you’re a dry texter or you just suck at texting!”
“Those are the same options, am I allowed to have another option?”
“Nope! Hey, wasn't Tenma supposed to come here too?”

When I tell you I didn’t want to post this chapter, i dunno I was worried it wasn’t good recently I’ve been feeling a bit loss in motivation BUT THE GRIND NEVER STOPS 🗣🗣
If it isn’t noticeable I changed my writing style a bit 💪🏽😭 (and took Nomi’s temp on putting the main, previous, and next at the bottom that way you won’t have to scroll up)
