spitballing about the altean empire AU, parallel reverse, a bit here because that's the mood I woke up in this morning.
it is, of course based very strongly on the alternate universe arc from who you are in the dark. I kept worldbuilding for it and this is the result.
the main plot focuses on Akira Kogane, our Keith parallel, who unbeknownst to him is half-Altean on his long absent mother's side. He's still raised in foster care, and still wound up under the mentorship of Sven (and still stole his car. some things never change). They have the same close bond that Shiro and Keith do, because of course they do.
They end up in a rebellion against the Altean Empire together, alongside the parallel versions of the other paladins- Tsuyoshi Garret, an engineering teacher from the Galactic Garrison, Isamu McClain, a cargo pilot instructor and Katie "Cat" Holt, whose entire family went on a 'diplomatic' meeting to Altea and never came back.
She stayed with Sven while they were gone (and then never came back), so she ends up knowing Akira quite well.
Akira always possessed an odd ability to temporarily disrupt the hoktrils upon making physical contact with them. This is wildly useful to the rebellion- but also caught the eye of the Altean Empire... and it's current Empress.
Eventually, Akira, Cat, and Tsuyoshi are captured during an ambush and taken back to Altea, where Akira is separated from the other two- and ends up learning more about his mother than he ever wanted to.
It turns out his mother, Lia, was one of the few Alteans who still possessed alchemical abilities, and that she disappeared on a quest to find Oriande. It means he's half-Altean, a fact which he can't deny after the Empress breaks the illusion his mom cast over him before he left Earth, that kept him looking so human.
Since Akira himself also clearly possess her same talents, the Alteans are very eager to convince him to join them. Akira wants nothing to do with the Empire, but he also sees the groundwork of a way to protect both Cat and Tsuyoshi from the hoktril. So he cuts a deal- he'll join them, if they spare them both from it.
(Turns out, the Alteans aren't wildly enthusiastic about applying the hoktril to a race that looks so eerily similar to themselves.)
This saves Cat and Tsuyoshi, although they do both get slapped with a much more old-fashioned pre-hoktril version of the Empire's 'rehabilitation'- effectively, shock collars. Akira can at least pull strings so that they're basically put into his service since apparently all Altean alchemists are brought into the royal family. Which means he's a prince now. what the fuck.
oh yeah. he guesses he's also betrayed the rebellion now too- he did kind of have to sell out one of their bases to really get the Alteans to trust him. Good thing he knows Slav has absolutely cleared the place out by now... but that doesn't stop him from being thrust back into the conflict on the Empire's side now.
he hates everything about it. but if wants to keep Tsuyoshi and Cat safe, he doesn't have much of a choice.
(he's also way too good at selling it for his own comfort. Sven hates him now, he's sure.)
He also learns that not all Alteans have fallen in line with the ways of the Empire. There's a resistance effort within the Empire itself, and they very quickly smoke each other out. This gives him a chance to pass intelligence to them, which they can in turn, pass onto the rebellion.
He also realizes that if he's able to master this alchemy stuff, he might have an actual opportunity to kill the Altean Empress himself and he's not going to pass that up.
In the process of trying to learn more about his talent, he stumbles upon an AI created from the memories of an Altean named Coran, who was killed shortly after Altea became an Empire...
(...and there's a ghost of a woman haunting the halls of the Castle that only he can see.)

Hi! Once again the Riku brain rot has consumed my entire being, so here's some headcanons I've created (not in any particular order).
BASIC HCS 💕
He's Handy! He can fix almost anything. He loves tinkering with his Gummi Ship!
His favorite food is grilled fish! White fish specifically, like flounder, sea bass, tilapia, etc. And he has a taste for savory treats, which combats Sora's sweet tooth.
He comes from a loving home. He loves his parents, a lot and they love him. However, his biological mother passed away when he was 7ish (after BBS, but before Kairi arrived). His father became emotionally unavailable for a while, until he met Riku's stepmom. She filled her motherly role over Riku and he thanks her for it. He loves his step mom!!!
His dad taught him a variety of things like: self defense, how to fix common things, fishing, basic survival skills, and the basics of building
He moved out after KH2, and got his own place. The reason why is because after everything he's been through he needs his own space to brood about how small everything is. Albeit sad, his father approved and has the land lady check up on him every so often 🥺 Riku helps outs his elderly land lady and pays rent on TIME! He's a responsible boy 😊
Riku isn't all into fashion but he can DRESS. He loves a good "urban/street wear" look, and fucks heavy with grunge. He appreciates the chains and skull designs that come with "punk" fashion but doesn't think he can pull it off
Riku doesn't spend a needless amount of time on his looks. He has gel for his hair, a skin care routine, and a nighttime ritual to keep his hygiene up. He's very much a pretty boy in our eyes, but that's just his genes. He does the bare minimum to keep himself looking presentable
Speaking of his looks, he surprisingly gets his good genes from his dad. The muscles, the hair, the jaw line, all from his old man. His father was most definitely a looker back in the day! That being said, Riku has his mother's smile and her eyes. He also carries her temperament with him.
Along with tinkering being a hobby of his, he likes video games too! But he's not a complete shut in video game nerd. Riku LOVES the outdoors. The wilderness calls him like he's a feral animal !!! He likes camping, and fishing! He's the main guy on the islands you'd go to for some handy survival tips. He knows a good amount of edible plants, fungi, berries, leaves, and etcetera to eat if he ever got stranded. He has one or two books on that kind of stuff but he doesn't read it anymore.
After the events of KH2, Riku didn't go back to highschool. Instead he got a GED (or KH equivalent) online and started taking community college courses. He's doing it to make his dearly departed mother proud.
To add on to that, Riku is a fast learner. He's quite intellectual when it comes to mathematics, some history, and biology but please don't ask him why the author made the curtains blue 😭 the boy is emotionally stunted. He is NOT using critical thinking when it comes down to poetry or thick prose. He has some emotional intelligence but compared to Sora, he might as well have the emotional capacity of a brick wall 😭
Alright! That's all I have for now (it's 5am, I should be sleeping) if I have any more I'll post em lol
XOXO Mx. Jade 💕

If you ever want to feel more confident in your writing, either know a dinosaur Nerd OR know basic biology and watch the last half hour of Jurassic World 2
Spoilers for the movie but it came on in the waiting room at the docs office on a giant and loud TV while my mom got physical therapy done. Things I saw in those last 30 minutes played:
One of the dinos ate a guy's arm whole THEN screamed in the guys face THEN began tearing at the fleshy and not bony bits of the guy
A smallish man outruns a hungry and pissed off super mega gmo dinosaur into an elevator and the dino still fails to make it to the elevator before the doors can slowly close.
There was, what I can only describe as a throwaway line, where the bad bad guys implies they used the same science they used to make the dinosaurs come back to make a dead girl come back to life or they cloned some dead girl after she died. And the ACTUALLY CRAZY THING IS that this is the only explanation they seem to offer on why this girl decided to let all the dinosaurs out into the nearby city after one nearly killed her and her new dad who she idolizes!
When the dinos are let out into the unsuspecting humanity, the t Rex??? Big one small hands sharp teeth, charges up and over a zoo fence and into the lion enclosure. Instead of the t Rex doing what a hungry carnivorous reptile would do and eating the lion, the t Rex roars at the lion. And instead of the lion doing what it normally would do around an animal that was 4 times the size of an elephant with teeth would do and run and hide, it roars back.
Jeff goldblum was in it for a few minutes and he didn't get to show a single chest hair
When they let all the dinosaurs out into the world at large, first all the dinos were actively being poisoned and then had to flee out into a central chamber in a stampede of creatures the size of VW bugs to triple decker busses and far far bigger. And all the dressed out animals made it through what was a hole the size of maybe the 6th tallest one without any of them even taking a snap at another.
A pterodactyl is the only one who is shown attacking anyone once out of containment and it is conveniently the main villian who would have gotten away otherwise who gets snatched up by this dino that I doubt was that small irl.
Your writing is fine honey, even the most self indulgent fic you write will be better than this dumpster fire of a story. As long as you put effort and thought into something, you will have already put forth more than whatever Hollywood is dumping millions into lately.
Anyway, if you want to see a good dino film, watch the first Jurassic Park and stop there.

My parents are the worst. I needed to get away from them. Their alcohol and drug use is making my life a living hell. Sure they manage to keep a job long enough to keep food on the table, clothes on our backs and a somewhat roof over our heads when they manage to stay sober enough for me to make it through a school year.
This year I'll be a sophomore and I really need to keep up my grades if I ever want to create any kind of life for myself. It's not that I love school (because I don't), I have no real desire to go to college either. I just need to get away from this town and away from my parents, because if they are going down I'm not going with them.
I came home from school today and made myself a PB&j and ran up to my room before my mom could call out to me to ask me how my day was and if I made any friends. I don't know why she cares about my social life so much she really needs to focus on her own.
During the day when I'm at school my parents start there midday with whatever illegal substance they can get ahold of followed by lime rickies so as not to be too wasted by the time I get home. I for once wish I could come home to a normal family home with my mom baking cookies and asking me to help set the table for dinner and my dad will ask me If I want to go shoot some hoops after dinner and then say he will help me later with my homework before I go to sleep, but this is not a nineteen fifties family movie and I am far from being a sweet innocent nineteen fifties girl. My name is Luna Roxy Draco. My parents could have named me anything else but they were both high when they came up with it. My name wins me the attention of your typical mean girl. Lunatic Roxy. I try to avoid the snickering faces of my fellow classmates, but of course I am not the only one that gets picked on. Take Gavin for example.
Gavin likes all things biology, everything from frogs to human anatomy.
Then there is Cara who is a book nerd. You can always find her in the library reading everything and anything she can get here hands on. Don't get me wrong I love to read but I am more of a mystery person.
Van is a wannabe jock. He walks around school like he's one of the big dogs, but his asthma keeps him on the sidelines. Which makes me feel bad for him because he's always in such a good mood, he brings a smile to my face but I don't let anyone see because I have a small crush on him. We don't speak or even share glances because someone is bound to notice and try to start something just because they are bored.

Introducing my Ninjago next-gen OCs! They’re the children of the Ninja and the protagonists of Succession. Their Toyhouse profiles are almost finished, but here’s some basic info until then! Haven’t found time to properly draw them out so all I have rn are Picrews 🤪
I’ll make individual posts with more info about each of them eventually. In the meantime, if anyone has questions about them pls feel free to ask!! ^_^
EDIT: Cora, Fritz, and Carmine now have ref sheets!
Cora & Fritz Walker
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jay and Nya’s kids (and twins)! Cora is the master of lightning and the oldest of the group. She acts all tough and serious but she’s really a giant nerd, especially when it comes to the history and culture of Ninjago. She also loves doing her makeup and dressing cute! Fritz is the master of water and very much a free spirit. He loves the water (whether it’s swimming or just being near it) and Fritz Donnegan movies (he was named after Fritz Donnegan so it was fate). These two struggle to get along because of their conflicting personalities, so they have to learn to communicate and work together.
Rin Garmadon
Tumblr media
Son of Lloyd and Kira (OC). Unlike the others, he was born with no powers, and to this day no one knows why. He’s loved all things heroic (comics, movies, etc.) since he was a starry-eyed little boy, and aspires to be a great hero himself, like his parents were. Basically lives in oversized hoodies and beat-up sneakers. Like his mom, he tends to doubt himself and has lower self-esteem, and likes to watch the stars at night.
Zephyr Julien
Tumblr media
Child of Zane and Pixal + master of ice! Their parents built them with the help of Cyrus Borg, who absolutely adores his grandchild and spoils them rotten. Zeph is a genius like their parents and is especially interested in biology + mechanical engineering. They love cold drinks and sweaters, which they wear year-round, and fight with a pair of handmade titanium gauntlets that shoot sonic energy. Deep down, though, they harbor insecurity over the fact they aren’t human.
Carmine Smith
Tumblr media
Daughter of Kai and Skylor + master of fire! She’s a sassy ball of chaos who loves dares, pulling pranks, and generally causing mischief. She and Kai are basically best friends and partners in crime, with Skylor usually having to bail them out of the shenanigans they get into. Carmine is the strongest fighter of the group and takes training very seriously. Though she means well, her temper and lack of patience tends to get her into trouble.
Sierra Brookstone
Tumblr media
Cole’s adopted daughter + master of earth + baby of the group. She was born with congenital myopathy (specifically the fiber-type disproportion), a condition that makes her muscles weaker among other things. Loves to sing, and is trying to teach herself to play the guitar. Staunch environmentalist and proud plant mom; she started a garden at the Monastery, and her room is so full of plants it’s basically like a forest. She even has the ability to control plant matter, so long as it comes directly from a source of earth.

Lol It's kinda a cliche but what about #10. high school popular kid/nerd au for obikin?
alright so this is like. hanakin montanakin.
for those of you who don't know what that's referencing that's totally normal probably. the hannah montana movie was filmed in my tiny town so i have probably a weird distortion of its significance but basically hannah montana was a tv show for years where there was a high schooler who went to school and was a bit weird and did normal school things but then by night she became a popstar with a blond wig but no one knows her secret identity except her brother and her best friend which is a huge part of the story. alright.
this is the beginning of hanakin montanakin (1.6k)
“I don’t want to talk about it,” Anakin announces upon arriving home. His mom looks up from her laptop, eyebrows already raised.
“Alrig--”
“But I need you to know that I think love is dead, Shakespeare was wrong, and my life is in shambles.”
He flops down onto the couch in the living room, burying his face in the pillow.
“Shambles, huh?” His mom says, chair scraping as she moves from the kitchen table to an armchair close to him. “That’s a different word.”
He turns his face outward just enough to mutter, “Obi-Wan taught it to me,” before retreating to the safe haven of the scratchy yarn. He doesn’t want to talk about Obi-Wan right now.
His mom doesn’t seem to be able to tell how much he doesn’t want to talk about Obi-Wan though. “Your tutor?” she asks.
Anakin groans, a sound muffled by his pillow-shield. Yes, his tutor. But more than that. Anakin doesn’t think he can even define what Obi-Wan Kenobi is, unless there’s a word that means the bane of his existence and the most amazing part of being alive and in high school all at the same time.
“What happened with your tutor?” His mother asks him, as astute as she always is.
“He doesn’t want to go to prom,” he mumbles into the pillow. Now that she’s much closer, he doesn’t even bother taking his face away.
“You asked him to prom with you and he said no?” His mom asks, sounding aghast and deeply sympathetic.
Anakin pouts and finally moves the pillow down to hug into his chest with both arms. “No,” he admits. “I didn’t ask him. I just asked him what he thought about prom, and he said he’s never liked school dances and hasn’t been to one since he was made to go in sixth grade and he can’t wait until he’s in college because then he’ll never feel any sort of pressure to go. And I couldn’t ask him after that.”
He’d still wanted to, of course. Anakin is of the school of thought that you’d just have to look at Obi-Wan Kenobi once before you want to date him. But then the bell had rung and the moment had been ruined and Obi-Wan had packed away all of his things with a smile on his face and he’d asked Anakin if he’d let him know how he did on his biology retake exam, and then he was gone.
And that was the moment that love died. Not, of course, his love for Obi-Wan. But his belief in love in general.
Yeah. That had died.
His mother’s face during this retelling of events goes through a few funny expressions before landing on what looks most like sympathy.
“Oh, Anakin,” she says. At least it’s her mom tone and not her manager tone. “Baby, you’ll never know for sure if you don’t ask him.”
“But he hates prom,” he cries, clutching his pillow closer. The only comfort in these cold, dark times.
“But does that mean he hates you?”
Anakin pouts harder.
“Anakin, I know it’s not easy, but isn’t it worth it to try?” she asks, stroking her hand through his bangs.
“Yeah, maybe.” He mumbles.
----
He doesn’t ask Obi-Wan to the Junior prom. In fact, he gets his mom to accidentally schedule a concert the night of the dance, so he doesn’t even have to go and be sad that he couldn’t whip up the courage to ask his crush of three years and very probably the first boy he’s ever been in one-sided love with to a stupid school function.
Instead he gets to put on a blond wig and sing and dance in front of hundreds of people somewhere in the Midwest, and it’s fine. It’s fine.
He debuts Vader’s newest song, “It’s Not Easy But It’s Worth It”, and he only feels a little like a fraud.
But seeing as he’s been doing this whole double-life, living a lie, high school student at day/teen pop sensation at night thing for two and a half years now, he’s gotten pretty used to feeling like a fraud.
----
But now he’s a senior and he’s about to graduate and he’s scared to death about what graduation means. For one, at least half of the reason--maybe more than that to be distressingly honest--that Obi-Wan even talks to him is because of the tutoring. Take that away, and Anakin isn’t sure what’s left.
Mostly lies. And that’s so many lies. There’s so many times Anakin wants to be honest, to tell Obi-Wan what Padmé and Ahsoka, best friend and sister, already know.
No, he’s not failing half of his classes because he’s dumb or lazy or not paying attention. He’s failing his classes because he’s singing in front of thousands of people any given night and that leaves no time for homework or school or even sleep. He needs a tutor because he can’t give up the fans, the singing, the performance. Vader. He can’t give up being Vader.
But it’s not like he can give up being a student either. And he wants it, he does. He wants to be normal. To go through school like any other kid, any other teenager.
So, he’s been given Obi-Wan to help him with his classes, help him get his grades up. They’ve been together--as tutor/student--for years now. Since about halfway through their freshman year, actually. And Obi-Wan still doesn’t know. And Anakin trusts him, likes him, is probably in love with him. But he doesn’t have the words to tell him, not in the end.
Which mostly means that in the end, there’s something in between Obi-Wan and Anakin, something Obi-Wan doesn’t even realize but that Anakin can’t forget about.
“What are you doing over the holidays?” Obi-Wan asks him, stretching back in his chair like he won’t give Anakin heart palpitations just from the exposure of his tummy.
They’re in the library, Anakin reminds himself furiously. The school library. “Oh, I guess hanging with my mom,” he says, deliberately not thinking about the performance he has scheduled for three days after the school lets out for break.
“Oh!” Obi-Wan says, and his eyes are focused on his hands, but his voice has changed just a little bit. Just slightly enough that Anakin catches the difference. Then, “Well. I...I mean, my father and I, we don’t celebrate or anything, not really, so there’s this concert in town just a bit after exams, so I very much understand if you’re tired or you don’t want to come, but I know...well, I figured you like the music. It’s. It’s pop. I just figured, you really introduced me to the genre, so I wouldn’t feel right if I didn’t at least try to invite you to go together but I also understand because it’s so close to the holidays and over break and--”
Anakin doesn’t really, actually hear many words beyond concert and come and together.
It’s probably a mistake.
“Yeah,” he blurts out, the idea of spending time with Obi-Wan outside of the demands of school work paralyzing him to any and all other concerns. Then, a few seconds later, he realizes.
Did he sound too eager?
“I mean,” he corrects “A concert? It’s been a while since I’ve gone to a concert. I do like a....a pop music. But which concert are you talking about?”
Obi-Wan swallows and shuffles the papers on the desk between them. “Well.” He says. “I mean. Vader. We’ve. It’s just that we’ve talked about Vader’s music a lot, almost as much as we’ve talked about biology and chemistry and geometry. And I suppose I just. I thought maybe we could. Go. Together.”
Now, Anakin has faced interviews from countless journalists, intent on ripping out his secret identity. And he’s faced screaming fans who are begging him to do some--well. Some very camera-inappropriate things to them. And look, basically, if anyone knows how to say no, it’s Vader Darthwalker.
But Obi-Wan looks so wide-eyed and nervous and he’s saying everything Anakin has ever wanted him to say. And it’s not Vader, Popstar, he’s asking. It’s Anakin. It’s just Anakin. Look. Anakin hasn’t actually been listening to a word Obi-Wan said since he said the word together.
“Yes,” he says, before he can even think about it. “Yes, of course. Um. I would. I would love to go with you anyw--the concert. That you mentioned. I mean. Anywhere where that concert is. Because I don’t know the venue.”
Obi-Wan smile and both his dimples and the faint beginnings of the lines by his eyes that will maybe one day turn into laughter lines from anyone lucky enough to bring this boy joy and see its aftereffects so many years later appear on the creases of his face and Anakin is so starstruck by the absolute beauty of them, of Obi-Wan, that he doesn’t even clock what the other boy is saying at first.
“Oh, that’s great, um, I’m. I’m really excited,” Obi-Wan mumbles, fumbling his binder into his backpack. “I didn’t think you’d really--alright. I’ll text you the ticket info. I. I got the tickets a bit in advance, but they’re not very good seats, I mean. Vader sells out fast.”
The bell rings, and Obi-Wan, Anakin has learned, obeys the bell. “I have to go,” he tells him, but his cheeks are blushing red and his hands shake to catch the zipper of his backpack. “But um. I’ll text you the details.”
And then he goes straight out of the library and to his AP class. Hell if Anakin knows which it is. He would, normally. He’d normally know Obi-Wan’s schedule like the back of his hand. But his brain is still ardently fighting through all the content currently filling it, and it’s only two minutes til his next class that he comes down from the high he’s currently feeling to plummet seven layers into hell. “Vader?” he asks the empty library. “Wait, Vader?”

Vast Ocean — Jotaro x Reader
With this, I declare the Jojo's Bizarre Adventures a fandom I write for 🤘 by posting a series of headcanons bcs I'm too lazy to write an actual fic about this.
Vast Ocean: Jotaro falling in love with one of the Crusaders (female!Reader)
Warnings: mentions of underage drinking
Tumblr media
Jotaro met you along with Avdol when the three of you bailed him out of jail.
Despite the first impression he left when you met in jail, you were completely unbothered and didn't really mind his cold attitude.
"You're not a bad guy, I bet you're just a big tsundere" you joked as Jotaro simply glared at you with eyes like guns as you laughed.
"Why is a tiny girl traveling with us in the first place?" Jotaro asked Joseph. ("I am not tiny, its not my fault youre so fucking big, asshole!")
"She's your age. And her stand is pretty strong" Avdol explained.
(Your stand is a couple of orcas, one of them with the colors reverted. Your stand name is The Killers, bwahaha see what I did there?)
You were naturally flirty and easy going, but when you noticed how Jotaro got so frustrated with your flirting, you began flirting with him even more just to piss him off
Polnareff started a bet with everyone else to see how long it would take the both of you to develop feelings for each other.
When Jotaro understood your flirting was just to mess with him, he started being more easy going and not being bothered by it, knowing it was going to piss you off instead.
You liked to play with your stand, just have both your orcas swim around you midair.
One time, while staying at a hotel on your way to Egypt, you took a well deserved break and went to the swimming pool to chill and play with your stand.
At the same time, Kakyoin and Jotaro had the same idea and found you in the pool having fun.
Since Jotaro and you had this habit of messing with each other, he used Star Plat to splash water at you. And soon, you two started fighting/playing, splashing water at each other. ("You're going to soak my clothes, yare yare, why do you have to be so childish?" "You started it! Also, why are you here in your regular clothes instead of a swimming suit? If anything, its your iwn fault!")
Kakyoin felt like the third wheel and when you less expected it, he left the pool and it was just you and Jotaro bickering.
After a few minutes of silence, you started talking about how cool orcas are. And how you started researching about them after getting your stand.
"Did you know orcas are a kind of dolphin and not whales?" You told Jotaro, catching his attention and he proceeded to ask questions about orcas.
(That day you learned one of Jotaros favorite classes was biology)
Since then, instead of bickering with each other, The Killers and Star Plat would play whenever you two got bored.
Jotaro liked watching your orcas swim in the air as much as you did, but he would never admit it out loud.
Star Plat loved petting The Killers, and you knew Jotaro did too since Star Plat is a projection of his soul.
You noticed Star Plat get progressively protective of you,  despite The Killers being strong enough to keep you safe.
Not just you, everyone else noticed
Joseph is excited because he's gonna win the poll
While on the road, you fell asleep on Jotaro's shoulder. And even when Polnareff pointed it out, Jotaro blushed a bit and said it was a rather annoying situation. But what he found annoying was his heart rate going wild over something as small as you falling asleep on his shoulder.
One night, at another nice hotel (brought to you by Speed Wagons endless bank account) you break in in Jotaro's room with movies and snacks.
"Cant you see I'm trying to sleep?" "Awh, come on! All we did was sleep on the way here!"
You two watched cowboy movies while snacking and drinking beer you managed to sneak in.
You know how sometimes beer makes you sleepy? Yes, you two fell asleep. You woke up in the middle of thr night while Jotaro was still asleep, in opposite ends of the bed. But your repressed crush on him urged you to snuggle next to him.
When Jotaro woke up, he blushed at the sight of you deeply asleep next to him. He felt star plat hit him gently on the back with his elbow. And so, Jotaro "hesitantly" snuggled next to you, wrapping an arm around your waist, spooning you.
The both of you woke up to Joseph knocking on Jotaro's door.
"Jotaro! Open up! [Name] isn't in her room!"
When Jotaro opened the door, the entire gang saw you in Jotaro's bed, your entire face bright red.
"What is this?" Joseph asked alarmed.
"We were watching cowboy movies" Jotaro said.
"At 7 am?"
"Last night" you said. "And...I fell asleep..." you admitted ashamed.
"Ohohoho..." Polnareff giggled.
Jotaro was not amused.
The rest of the day, neither of you talked to each other, nor made eye contact.
Still The Killers and Star Plat interacted and played with each other.
After the fight with Dio, and after Joseph spending a night at the hospital under observation because of everything that had happened, Jotaro checked up on you.
You weren't injured, just had a few cuts here and there and a sprained ankle.
"Ah, the hero!" You greeted him.
"How are you?" "The doc says in a couple of weeks I'm gonna be as good as new"
"Thank you, Jotaro" "hm?" "You stopped Dio...You saved your mom, Joseph...all of us" "Not all of us" Jotaro hissed, pulling down his cap.
You kissed his cheek, upon seeing him beat himself up upon the memories of Avdol, Kakyoin and Iggy.
He was taken by surprise and you noticed a soft shade of pink on his cheeks.
"I...Listen, I'm pretty sure you know this by now, I mean, everyone does...but I still feel like I have to say it, okay? And please, don't laugh at me..." You said
"hm" Jotaro chuckled. "I like you too, dumbass"
"Why are you calling me a dumbass? What did I do now?"
"You're always a dumbass" Jotaro joked before bumping his forehead with yours and closing his eyes.
You knew Jotaro wasn't going to do it himself, so instead, you stood on your tip toes, ignoring the pain in your ankle, and pecked his lips gently.
He kept his hands in his pockets, but kissed you back immediately, locking lips in a brief and shy kiss.
Polnareff saw everything. And in the end, it was Kakyoin who had betted the two f you would've fallen in love by the end of the mission
It took Jotaro a while before calling you his girlfriend, even though you two had been practically dating for almost a month.
Jotaro was definitely not a guy who enjoyed PDA, but when the two of you were alone, he'd play with your fingers, run his hand through your hair, and even pull you into his lap while making out.
Most of the PDA actually came from Star Plat, since barely anyone could see Star Plat holding your pinky or holding you or playing with your hair.
Star Plat is baby, I dont make the rules
Bonus: You two make research together on marine biology because you're both nerds like that.

Note
u kno what else we need.. bela and mia headcanons, we don't see much of them interacting, same for dani and mia. we need more content of the girls with their (step)-mom!
Bela and Mia headcanons!
Bela and Mia are both science nerds.
Bela likes all kinds of sciences, but Mia specifically enjoys biology and paleontology
Mia once saw Bela reading a biology book about animals and proceeded to go on a 30 minute tangent about why there are so many different breeds of dogs and Bela listened to the entire thing, mostly surprised that Mia even knew half the words she was saying.
Sometimes they do science experiments together. Usually stuff like baking soda volcanos, y’know, for fun, but sometimes they do more high scale projects.
But never dissections. At least, not animal dissections.
Alcina once caught the two of them making Elephant Toothpaste in her bathtub and the entire bathroom AND her dressing room was filled with the stuff.
They’re no longer allowed to do those types of projects inside.
Besides being science nerds, they’re both huge animal lovers.
They once had a nearly 4-5 hour long discussion on how birds and reptiles are technically modern dinosaurs, and how something like a T-Rex could evolve into a chicken.
Elena, Zoe, and Alcina, after they all had to sit there and listen to that conversation: “Holy shit we love a couple of fucking dorks.”
Mia likes to watch Bela fold origami. She just… finds it relaxing.
Bela, when she caught Mia trying on Alcina’s dresses: “Feels pretty good, right?” “...Yeah….” “It’s okay, I won’t tell Mama.” “*Sigh* Thank you.”
Mia’s helped Bela get through panic attacks on more than one occasion even before her and Alcina were dating. Because she knows how awful they are to have with nobody around to help.
And Daniela and Mia headcanons!
Daniela and Mia have the same level of Feral Energy
They play-wrestle all the damn time, and (much like with Cassandra) Mia usually lets Daniela win.
Mia once suggested they carpet slide down the stairs. Daniela didn’t know what that meant but was excited about it anyway.
Spoiler: It didn’t go well and they both ended up getting concussions.
They later did a similar thing with a laundry basket.
Shocker, Mia doesn’t like Max, and while she doesn’t think it’s her place to pry into any of the girls’ relationships (Except for like… if they date Melony), she is one of the people who’s a little worried Daniela might be getting used.
That said, it is kind of nice just to see Daniela so happy, and sometimes Max really isn’t that bad to be around.
Daniela was the first one who got Mia to start using buzzing as a verbal stim.
They would probably both benefit from chewelry, because Daniela will chew on things absentmindedly and Mia is a nailbiter.
Daniela will ramble to Mia at length about the latest romance book she’s read.
Mia doesn’t understand the appeal of romance novels, but she’s happy to listen to any of the girls talk about any of their interests.
Mia read one of Daniela’s Mothman fanfictions once.
Mia's face, as she reads the fanfiction:
Tumblr media
D: “So, did you like it?? OwO” M: “Well… You took some real creative liberty with giving a giant moth a dick, I’ll give you that. TuT’”
It wasn’t that it was bad. It was that it was good. And detailed. And a self insert.
Daniela holds Mia’s hand if she (Dani) starts getting overwhelmed/sensory overload.
If it gets really bad Mia will take her to a nice quiet spot to calm down. Usually one of the rooms where Daniela has piled her squishmallows.

Summary: Y/n has always been best friends with Harrison and Tom. Since childhood they've always been close, but what happens if after a break up with her first boyfriend, she starts to feel something more about Tom?

It was 2 minutes to 7am and I was late for school. Running to put on my warm sweatshirt and getting ready psychologically to go out in a cold weather, I grabbed my keys and tried to lock the door almost dropping my backpack on the floor. It was almost summer, but my town wasn't disappointed in having very cold mornings and hot afternoons.
"Shit," I murmured as I kicked the door, insisting that didn't want to close it. "Why hasn't my mom called someone to fix this thing yet?" I spoke to myself and finally managed to close it hearing a click. Coming down the stairs practically running, I closed the small gate and strode down the street.
I lived with my parents in a town called Kingston-upon-Thames, in a tiny two-bedroom house, very close to the school. You just need to walk about 4 blocks and voilá, I could already see the entrance gate and the familiar faces of the gringos. I was in the last year of high school, just turned 17 and I was born in Brazil, but grew up in London, when my father had to move because of his work, when I was only 6 years old. Obviously we weren't rich, my father worked with woodwork, and my mother currently worked in a small flower shop in the city center. But when my father received an offer to move to another country, he didn't think twice. Learn another culture, a new language and still earn some good money? An offer that cannot be refused.
The first time we arrived it was very strange, only my father knew intermediate English and my mother and I obviously did not know a single word. But we quickly befriended a family that lived on our street: the Osterfields. Jenna and Carter were the parents of two children: Harrison, the same age as me and little Charlotte (newborn at the time). Harrison and I immediately became inseparable, and he became like a brother to me and our families became one.
Obviously with him, also came nothing more and nothing less than: the Holland family. Nikki and Dom had 4 male children, one my age: Tom, Harry and Sam twins, 3 years younger and Paddy who was born 2 years later. So the family just grew, our parents became best friends, and me, Harrison and Tom became an unbeatable trio. There was no Y/n, without Tom and Harrison and vice versa, we're always together.
We went to the same school since always. As Haz lived only a few houses below mine, we meet and go together and Tom, who lived on the other side of the school, met us at the gate every day.
I went down the street and saw Haz sitting on the wall in front of his house, fiddling with his cell phone with a earphone, as soon as I approached he raised his head and smiled.
- Finally, I thought you aren’t going to class today. - He said getting up and giving me a kiss on the cheek.
- Good morning to you too Haz. - I said laughing and hooking my arm on him, while we went down the street. - You know that now that my mom is working on the other side of town she leaves early and then I have to wake up by myself, which is clearly a problem.
- Sleepyhead, - he said and I playfully tapped his arm while he laughed.
- Well, i'm, what can I say? Sleeping is the best thing in the world. - I said. - Did you do the history homework?
- Wich history homework? - He stopped suddenly looking at me in shock.
- Harrison Osterfield, you are not going to tell me that you forgot the work that I talked about it every day for almost a month. - I said putting my hand on my waist scolding him.
- Well ... I completely forgot. - Haz said scratching the back of his head with the face of a stray dog. -I was busy decorating the lines from the play.
- Wow Harrison, that way you will fail and then you'll  came crying to me.
- Ok mom, sorry! But was it for today? Can I copy it and give it to you later?
- Ok, but just this time, and do me a favor to exchange practically all the words I used or i'll be in trouble. - I said taking out my briefcase, while he held my backpack and I handed him my work.
- I love you... - he said giving me back my backpack and hugging me, kissing my head afterwards.
- And I don't love you at all, bummer. - I giggled and we rounded the corner of the school.
Tom was already leaning against the side of the gate with his backpack between his legs, talking to a guy who was doing theater with him and Harrison. He was laughing at something, wearing a black hoodie, his hair was a little messy under his hood and his nose was slightly red from the cold. For some reason my stomach did some flips as we approached.
Harrison and Tom were very handsome, there was no denying it, they were half nerds, half bad boys (in the sense of forgetting to study for the exam or not doing their homework once in a while), they did theater, they were nice and got along very well with girls since they started puberty. As for me, I was the nerd who was always concerned about grades and getting into the journalism college, I didn't always have excellent grades, but they were enough to pass or impress the professors when I felt inspired. I wasn't popular, but not a completely ghost too, because being best friends with the boys ended up calling attention in some way.
The only boyfriend I had was a guy named Steven, and also my first kiss, to at age 15, but we broke up last year. Steven was cool, but we had different views on things and use to think about completely different futures, so we thought it was best to broke up. And since then I'm alone and very well, thank you.
But since I broke up with Stev, for some reason I've started to have some weird feelings for Tom. Weird in the meaning of being shy around him, with whatever he does, or whatever words he exchanges with me. Which is ridiculous, because he's my childhood friend, and I never felt any of that with Haz, so why with him I feel? I always saw Haz as my brother, but with Tom it's different, and I never understood why.
Anyway, here I was with my heart beating faster and faster as we approached. As soon as we got close, Tom waved goodbye to the guy he was talking. He grabbed his backpack off the floor and patted Haz on the back, kissing my forehead afterwards, which I immediately feel my cheeks burning with embarrassing, but no one realized.
- Hey mates! Finally! I thought you weren't coming anymore.- he said as the three of us went through the gate towards the school.
- The madam here, was the one who ended up sleeping too much, I was also waiting a long time.- Haz said and I rolled my eyes, making Tom smile.
- I understand Y/n, I also love sleeping... By the way, I said I was waiting a long time, but actually I just arrived. - He laughed - Your mother started working on that flower shop, right?
- Yeah! She started today, so I'm still getting used to waking up just with the alarm without my mom pulling me from under the covers by my hair.- I replied and they both laughed.
- Which class do you guys have now? - Tom asked as we went up the stairs to the first floor where the class rooms were.
-Math- Haz said, rolling his eyes. - Actually, I really have to go, because if I show up a second late again Mr. Jones will kill me. - he said giving us a brief wave and running to the opposite side.
- I have philosophy, thank God, one of my favorite subjects.- I said raising my hands to the sky as a joke and Tom laughed.
- Wow y/n, I thought your favorite subject was biology and English.- he said and I stuck out my tongue, but feeling a little warm inside, these subjects were the ones we had together.
- Anyway, see you later? I have physics now unfortunately.
- Yeah, I'll be at our new favorite place. - I giggle, it had been a week since me, Haz and Tom found a perfect place to stay during the break, which was on the back of the school, on a hill next to a tree, where we had a full view of the students down there. It was perfect, because the warm morning sun was shining and we'd be left on the ground gossiping and watching what others were doing.
- See you there shortie. -Tom said kissing the top of my head, giving me a wink and leaving towards his class room.
- Look who's talking. - I said loudly for him to hear and he showed me his middle finger from a distance, laughing at my face.
I turned around smiling and headed towards my class. The first two classes were normal, nothing new, I was still a little sleepy, so I ended up almost sleeping in the second geography class, where I was almost kicked out by Mr Wilson, who let It pass this time. The alarm hit indicating it was break time and I thanked God, practically running to stay out in the sun.
I grabbed my phone from my pocket and my headphones, hitting play on Radiohead's Subterranean Homesick Alien song and walking outside. I saw Steven with his new girlfriend Lily right on the way out, they were talking, hugging each other and looked very happy, he saw me and gave a smile from a distance where I reciprocated. Our break up went very well, without resentment, which made me happy.
I walked up the small hill and saw Haz and Tom already at our meeting place. Tom was lying down looking at the sky while Haz was sitting propped up in the tree.
- Did you guys miss me? - I said sitting next to Haz.
- Yeah, we were even thinking about how we could handle living without you y/n- Haz said and Tom chuckled.
- I know you two love me. - I said shrugging.
- In fact, we were arguing when you're going to have a new boyfriend. - Tom said and I froze.
- And who said I want a new boyfriend? I asked raising my eyebrow.
- We know you y/n, you starting to have your head in the clouds lately, always retweeting couple things and posting romantic songs, I can see that you're falling in love again.- Tom said, still looking at the sky.
- I agree. - Haz said taking the side of my earphone and putting into his ear. - She's even listening to Radiohead! And you always listen to Radiohead when you're in love. - I gave them a sarcastic laugh and pulled the earphone of his ear turning off the music making Haz laugh.
- You guys are idiots, I'm fine alone thank you, I just want to focus on my studies from now on. - I said and they both made a "hmm" in unison, making me roll my eyes.
- Actually, we were discussing where we're going to celebrate my 17th birthday tomorrow.- Tom said changing the subject, turning his head and covering the sun with his hand to look at me.
-Tomorrow is your birthday?- I asked pretending to be surprise and Tom rolled his eyes playfully.
- I know you two always look forward to my birthday, because you love me and want to surprise me.- he said and Haz and I laughed ironically. - But Marcos offered his house, because his parents are traveling, so we could make a cool party there! So I was thinking about calling the theater people and some of our friends like Julian, Tuwaine and etc, maybe getting some drinks too... - Tom said sitting down and cleaning some leaves that were stuck on his hoodie.
- I think it's a good idea, I'm not much of partying or drinking, but with you both I always have fun.- I said and Haz rested his head on my shoulder.
- Good to know we make you happy Y/n. - Haz said and I giggle patting his head.
- So we meet tomorrow? You guys want to stop by my house so we could go together?
- Actually, I have to go to my granny first, so I'll go from there.- Haz said and Tom gave him a thumbs up.
- Y/n you can go? Around 7pm it's ok?
-Of course Tommy. - I said and he smiled at the nickname.
- Okay, I'll wait for you at 7pm and I'll send you the address, mate.- he said to Haz as we got up listening to the bell ringing indicating the break was over.
- Deal!- Haz said.
- Deal. - I also said as we went down back to class.
The last classes were history, the subject I had with Haz and he returned my homework, assuring me that he had changed the words. We spend the whole class sending notes talking about nonsense and making jokes. Haz and I were pretty good at sending notes without the professor seeing.
But I confess I was puzzled by what the boys had said earlier, how did they have the impression that I was in love? I wasn't, was I? Was I showing too much that i had feelings for Tom? I don't know, I just know that the whole story had left me with immense anxiety.
The class was over and I said goodbye to Haz, because he had theater with Tom and I didn't have any extra activities that day. The only days that i had something was on monday, tuesday and thursday, when I have a school reinforcement to improve my notes to enter college. Which was a relief, since I had to run to the mall to look for a gift to give Tom for his birthday. I had been looking for weeks and I didn't find anything interesting to give to my best friend. Best friend isn't it? Nothing more than this...

samihyo pregnancy fluff part one !! there will be a part two so don’t worry !! it’s jut already four am and i want to publish some content before i fall asleep !!
sorry i’ve been taking so long to post stuff, school sucks. but i only have three more weeks left !!
“Baby you really don’t have to do that.” Sana couldn’t help but laugh at Mina as her wife opened the car door for her. It had only been two days since Sana had told her about her pregnancy, but ever since, both of her wives had been so careful around her. Sana wasn’t allowed to cook (it’s not like she was before, but they had laid down stricter rules now), she wasn’t allowed to do laundry, and every time she tried to clean Mina or Jihyo would take the cleaning stuff out of her hand. They always tried to offer her arms when she was going somewhere and  It was cute for a few minutes, but it got old quickly. She knew they had wanted this for so long and now that they had this they wanted to do everything they could to protect their baby, but it was getting annoying quickly. “It’s really okay. I like doing things for you.” Mina nodded.
“I know but it’s becoming too much.” Sana rolled her eyes. “You are adorable, and I love you, but please stop treating me like I’m made of glass. That goes for you too Hyo.” Sana turned to her other wife, who was grabbing their stuff from the car. “I know you two are just excited and a little scared, I feel the same. But really, I’m pregnant, not dying.” “Fine.” Mina couldn’t fight the smile on her face. “You win.” Jihyo mumbled.
“Really though you two are so cute. You’ll both make good moms soon.” Sana giggled, intertwining her hands with both of theirs. “Let’s make sure the baby is good first before we start talking about this stuff too much.” Jihyo nodded. “We never know anything that could go wrong-”
“Shh.” Sana turned to Jihyo. “No bad thoughts today.” Jihyo rolled her eyes at Sana but smiled. “You okay Mina?” Mina had grown quieter as they walked inside the hospital, all their hands still together. Jihyo had noticed it when they first stepped out of the car, but didn’t comment at first.
“I just- I don’t like hospitals.” Sana and Jihyo both knew this fact. They had tried to find a good doctor that didn’t work out of a hospital, but the only ones that met their standards were in hospitals. Mina had said she would be fine, but both of her wives knew to look out for her. “It’s okay. We won’t be here for very long.” Sana kissed her and Mina’s joined hands. “I’ll go check you in.” Jihyo smiled at the two. “Thank you babe.” Sana giggled, guiding Mina over to a chair in the waiting room. Mina unconsciously tightened her grip on Sana’s hand, and Sana swiped her thumb over Mina’s hand. “Hey, what are you thinking about?”
“If the baby will look anything like you.” Mina commented. “Oh yeah? Maybe it will. There's what, a fifty percent chance?” “I don’t think that’s how genetics works.” Mina giggled. “You are the science professor.” “Chemestry is dumb.” Sana rolled her eyes. “I think that’s biology.” “Biology is dumb.” Sana pouted. “I haven’t thought about either since I was what- a sophomore in college?” “You teach physics.” Mina pointed out. “Physics has nothing to do with chem or bio.” Sana nodded. “Maybe if we’re lucky the baby will be a science nerd like me.” “Or maybe they will prefer humanities.” Mina giggled. “Or who knows what if they want to become a pop idol or an artist?” “That would be pretty cool too! It’s kinda crazy to think how they could be anything- that they are this little ball of potential and we get to raise it.” Sana giggled. “Yeah…” Mina trailed off. “I can’t wait to find out what they love.” “Me too.” Sana smiled when Jihyo started walking back towards them. “They said it should be any minute.” Jihyo smiled at the two. Sana reached her arms out and pulled Jihyo down for a kiss, causing a blush to spread out on her cheeks.
“Sana.” Jihyo whined. “So adorable.” Sana giggled. “Both of you.”
“Stop.” Jihyo whined, a blush on her face. “Okay.” Sana smiled. “Mrs.Minatozaki?” “Right here.” Sana grabbed both of their hands, both of them happily following her to the back area. After a preliminary examination Sana is taken to a back room while they wait for the first ultrasound. Sana’s leg is bouncing while she waits, her nerves making her quieter than usual. Mina and Jihyo both noticed, looking over at each other for confirmation before Jihyo spoke up. “It’s okay.” Jihyo nodded. “You really don’t need to be nervous.” “Really.” Mina kissed Sana’s cheek. “We are in this together love.”
“Okay.” Sana took a deep breath in, slowing her leg. “I’m good.” “You sure?” Jihyo asked.
“Yeah.” Sana smiled. “I’m perfect.” When the doctor tells them the baby is perfectly healthy, they all start crying. Jihyo and Mina are able to hold it back until they are in the car, but Sana cries right there in the doctor's office. She blames it on the hormones, but they all know the real reason. They had all wanted this for so long. So goddamn long. They had watched all their friends have and raise kids. They had seen so many negative pregnancy tests. They had sat through the pain doctors visit when they told them Mina was infertile. They had sat through so many doctor visits. They had all lived with the thought in the back of their mind that maybe they couldn’t get pregnant, and had all debated giving up. They had even fought over this topic. But now, now they were having a baby. A healthy baby that right now was so tiny and fragile and it’s heartbeat was so fast and so, so perfect. They had wanted this for so long, and now that they were having it, they were so beyond happy. There was only one thought on all three of their minds as they all cried in the car, and that was that they couldn’t wait to meet their baby in a few months.
xx
Jihyo smiled when she saw the adorable look on Sana’s face when she first presented her with red bean mochi at three am. The cravings had started quickly with her pregnancy, they had only known about the baby for a week and Jihyo was already making a trip to the twenty four hour supermarket for one of her wife’s cravings. She was just lucky they had a pretty extensive Japanese section, Jihyo was worried she wasn’t going to find it. “Thank you.” Sana had the most excited adorable look on her face. Jihyo couldn’t help but kiss her. “No problem love.” Jihyo giggled. She was still tired, but she also had a bit of energy from the drive to the supermarket. Sana unwrapped her treat, trying to be as quiet as possible. Mina had an early morning class the next morning, so they were trying to let her sleep the best they could. “Is it good?” “Uh-hum.” Sana nodded with a smile as she took a bite. Normally they didn’t eat in bed, but Sana and Jihyo both knew they could make an exception today. “I have been craving red bean all night.” “Oh yeah?” Jihyo giggled. “Well maybe the baby really likes red bean.” “Maybe. It’s not my favorite food, but it’s all I could think about.” Sana took another bite. “What were you and Mina talking about earlier, when I was napping?” Sana had been extra tired lately, and had started taking after work naps before dinner. Mina and Jihyo were always supportive of these naps, they knew Sana was extra tired now. The doctor had even warned them Sana would be more fatigued due to the fact she was a bit older than most first time moms. “Oh, Mina and I think it might be a good idea to wait to tell our friends about the baby.” Jihyo commented, laying on her back and wrapping an arm around Sana’s waist. “The first trimester is unpredictable, and we never know what could happen.” “The doctor said the baby was healthy…” Sana trailed off, looking down at the bedsheets. “I know love. And I’m not doubting that the baby will continue to be healthy. We just need to be a little cautious, that’s all.” Jihyo smiled at her wife. Sana was halfway done already, and she had a bit of red bean on her cheek. “We can tell them soon. Just in a little bit.”
“Fine.” Sana whined. “That makes sense.” “I know you want to tell them.” Jihyo sat up and gently brushed some of the red bean paste off Sana’s cheek. “And you can… Just wait a little longer okay?” “Fine.” Sana whined, but softened when Jihyo kissed her. “Now let's go back to sleep, we don’t want to wake Mina up.” They both smiled at their other wife, who was now starfishing on their bed. Mina tended to do that when she was by herself or Sana and Jihyo were in the corner like they were now. It was cute, but if they weren’t careful Mina would steal all the blankets and they would spend the night considerably colder than normal.
xx Sana let it slip the next day.
Ever since Sana moved to Korea, Sana and Momo had a tradition of getting Japanese food together once a week. It had started when they were kids, and as they grew up it never went away. It used to be every Friday, but when Momo had her kids Fridays became too crowded with sports practices and carpool duties, so they had moved it to Thursdays. They only ever really  missed it if one was on vacation or one was sick, and even then they tried to make it up to each other. They had been best friends since they were kids. They were a literal family. Meeting up every week bonding over their home food was something both of them absolutely adored. Sana had let it slip after ordering her second bowl of ramen. Momo hadn’t seen Sana do that much, so she was surprised when her cousin had decided to go for a second. She rarely ever even finished a first bowl when she ordered ramen, and here Sana was eagerly ordering a second.
“Well you try being pregnant and nauseous all day. You would eat a lot when you felt better too.” Sana had argued, not even noticing her slip for a second. “Wait-what?” Momo paused mid bite, her jaw hung open while she looked at Sana. It was then when she saw Momo all wide eyed and slack jawed that it hit her what she had done. “You're pregnant?” “Oh yeah.” Sana took a deep breath. “Jihyo and Mina didn’t want me telling anyone, but yeah we just found out last week.” Sana had already predicted what Momo’s reaction would be when she told her. Momo had never been the type to get overly emotional, so Sana was guessing she would give her a warm smile and a simple congrats. She never would have expected Momo to burst into tears. It was so Un-Hirai-Im Momo. Sana had known Momo since they were born, they were cousins and they had always been close. And it was rare she had seen Momo cry. And all the times she had seen it, it was always related to Nayeon. She had cried a couple times when they had particularly bad fights, she had cried at their wedding, cried with her when they got approved to adopt the twins, and Sana had seen tears clinging to her eyes the night Kazumi was born but that was pretty much it. “W-What’s wrong?” “Nothing-god nothing.” Momo sniffled. “But Sana… Sana, you're having a baby.” Seeing Momo in tears brought Sana close to them herself. Momo knew about all the pain they had suffered by this years-long process trying to have a baby. All of their friends knew about it, but Momo knew it very well. Sana had called her stressed or in tears too many times for her to not understand how much mental anguish it had caused both Sana and her wives. Momo had been through it herself before they adopted the twins, though it was not nearly as long. She knew how hard it had been on all of them, but particularly Sana. “Yeah…” Sana sniffled, looking downwards at her stomach and putting one hand on it. “Yeah… I am Momoring.” Needless to say, they gathered some weird looks from the others around them, but they didn’t pay them any mind. They were both just so happy, they couldn’t hold back their emotions. Later after they left Sana made Momo promise she wouldn’t tell anyone and Momo agreed only after Sana promised not to tell anyone she had cried.
xx
Sana hadn’t meant to read Jihyo’s mail. She really hadn’t, but she had just found it and thought it was something else.
Sana had been waiting for a letter from her boss with the official documentation for her requested time off. Since they rarely took any vacation time, she had a lot saved up. They had never needed to take much of their vacation time, most of them had a couple weeks of break in the summer to travel and they didn’t have kids so vacation days were rarely used, so naturally all three of them had a lot stored up. When Sana went to ask her boss for the next semester off and maybe even the one after, he readily agreed. Sana was one of the top professors in her department and had ten-year as well as a wealth of vacation days, so he really didn’t mind her taking an entire school year off to focus on her family. However since it was a pretty lengthy absence from work she would need some official paperwork from the university to document her year of absence. So naturally when she saw a piece of paper with the university's emblem at the top stuffed into one of their drawers she grabbed it, thinking it was for her and had gotten put there by accident. It was very Un-Mina like but sometimes Jihyo would forget to tell her she had mail and leave it in odd places. It usually wasn’t in a random drawer, but Sana hadn’t thought about it too much. When she read the letter, she quickly realized it wasn’t for her. “Park Jihyo, why didn’t you tell me about this?” The minute Sana read it, she knew she had to talk about it with her wife.
“Tell you about what?” Jihyo asked, turning from where she was playing Minecraft with Mina. “That you were offered to do research fall semester in Switzerland.” Jihyo put her control down when she heard that. She let out a long sigh, gesturing for Mina to pause the game as she opened her arms for Sana to come over to them. “I’m not going to go.” Was the first thing Jihyo said. “What- no I want you to go.” Sana nodded. “I’m sorry if I seemed mad- I’m just mad you didn’t tell us.” “I know, I’m sorry. I didn’t tell you guys because I don’t plan on going.” Jihyo told Sana, turning to Mina. Mina looked a little hurt as well, but she was remaining quiet. Sana had been very hormonal lately, and could get mad easily, so she knew Jihyo was trying to be calm with her.
“You’ve wanted to do research for so long though Hyo…” The architecture department was huge, so there were a lot of professors. Naturally as such, there weren’t many research opportunities for professors. Jihyo had always wanted to get one, but since she had started from the bottom she was never given the opportunity. “I would be gone for four months Sana…” Jihyo trailed off. “Four months at the end of your pregnancy. I couldn’t do that.” “The fall semester ends weeks before my due date, you would still be back in time.” Sana argued. “No-no I don’t want to be away from you then.” Jihyo nodded.
“I mean- Mina can take care of me. You really won’t miss much. Just me complaining about my back hurting and that I have to pee all the time. I think you should go.” Sana looked to Mina for help, Mina nodding.” “You have wanted to do research forever Hyo…” Mina pointed out. “You may not get the opportunity again for a while, and Sana’s right. I can take care of her.” “Or we could even go with you to Europe.” Sana suggested. “I got approved for the whole year off next year.” “No- baby do you know how miserable that would be? You would be very pregnant on an annoying long flight. Putting the many many dangers of that aside you would be so miserable the entire time. It’s okay. I can maybe talk to the lead and see if they do something like this again in a few years.” Jihyo nodded, grabbing one of Mina’s hands and putting the other over Sana’s stomach. There wasn’t much yet, but at two and a half months pregnant a bump was starting to form. “Besides, I want to be here. I want to listen to you complain about your back hurting and that you have to pee.” “We can do that over facetime. I can tell you every day over video call if that's what you want.” Sana offered. “No, I want to be here. I want to be with you for the last few doctors appointments and the rush of trying to get everything ready for the baby and all of the little complaints about your feet or your back hurting. I want to be here for nesting and all the little kicks the baby is going to do. I want to be here with both of you. It’s not the same over video chat. It’s okay. I can do research later, but this? This is something we won’t experience again.” Both knew she was right. After Sana gave birth there was basically no chance of her getting pregnant again. The doctors had already told them that and they were okay with it. They were just happy they were able to experience it once. “Are you sure?” Sana asked, putting her hand over Jihyo’s on her stomach. “Of course I’m sure.” Jihyo nodded, squeezing Sana’s hand. “I love all three of you so much, there’s no where I would rather be than right here.”
xx
As convincing as Jihyo had been in front of Sana, Mina could tell she wasn’t being completely obvious. The next time Sana went out with Momo for their weekly dinners, she comforted her wife about it. “Are you- are you really okay giving up the opportunity to do your first research?” Mina knew dancing around the subject wasn’t going to work, as much as all her instincts were telling her too. Truthfully, she didn’t understand what Jihyo was giving up as much as Sana. Her department really didn’t do research so it wasn’t something she had ever really thought about. Sana had been involved with three research projects before, and she had loved all of them. Even when she would come home exhausted she would always happily recount what exactly she had done and how exciting it was, even if Mina and Jihyo had no idea what she was talking about. They both liked seeing her so excited, and listening to her talk, so it worked out. “Yeah-of course.” Jihyo nodded, not looking away from her switch. “I will get another chance in the future. Maybe.” “Maybe?” “No. I will.” Jihyo sighed. “It just- it couldn’t have worse timing. If this had happened a year ago I would consider going but right now- right now I can’t leave.” “Hyo… I know you want to stay with Sana, but if you do something you’ll regret, it will just make you miserable.” Mina put a hand on Jihyo’s cheek, stroking it and forcing her to look her in the eyes. “And I know you don’t want the baby to see you miserable.” “Mina-I can’t.” Tears rushed to Jihyo’s eyes as she gazed into Mina’s loving ones. “We waited so goodman long for this- Years Mina. We’ve waited years. As fun as research sounds- I can’t leave now.” “Are you sure?” “Yes. And yeah maybe I’ll be a little scared I’ll never get the opportunity to do research again, but you and Sana and the baby are so much more important to me.” Jihyo couldn’t help but pull Mina into a kiss, her tears dripping down her cheeks still. “I love you three so much, you don’t even know it.” “Hyo…” Mina leaned in and captured Jihyo’s lips again. “I love you so much.”
Needless to say, when Sana got back and found them in bed with nothing but the covers on, she whined about how they started without her. But, they both happily made it up to her.
xx
After Sana’s first checkup of the second trimester, they all agree it’s time to tell their friends. Their friend group had a long standing tradition of having family dinners together on the second and fourth Sunday night of every month, and even when some of them started having kids this didn’t change. It was time for all of them to hang out and catch up, something they were always able to do during the week. They would rotate who hosted, so everyone would have to experience it at some point. The day they decided to tell everyone it was at Chaeyoung and Tzuyu’s.
Mina, Sana, and Jihyo were usually the first to arrive. With Mina affinity for being on time and the lack of children they were usually the ones who got there first. So because of that one of them always got roped into helping cooking. This time, the minute Jihyo was through the door Tzuyu was basically pulling her by the arm to the kitchen. Tzuyu and Jihyo had always been close, Tzuyu had gone to the same middle school and high school as Jihyo and had always looked up to the older woman. When they first met, Tzuyu barely knew any Korean. But Jihyo didn't seem to mind. She was the first one Tzuyu met who really tried to understand her and put in effort. Tzuyu had loved it at thirteen, and she loved it now. “Tzuyu’s always looked up to Jihyo huh?” Sana asked Chaeyoung once they were out of the room. “Oh yeah. She’s been like her little sister since they met.” Chaeyoung giggled. “Oh, let me get Emi. I’m sure she will be happy to see you guys. She’s been a little grumpy lately but Tzuyu thinks it’s just puberty.” “She is about to be twelve right?” Mina asked, guiding Sana over to the couch and taking a seat. She wrapped her arm around Sana’s waist as Sana snuggled into her side.
“Right.” Chaeyoung nodded. “Anyway, let me go get her.” Mina and Sana nodded. Mina pulled out her phone while they waited while Sana looked at the framed pictures of Emi on the walls. Chaeyoung and Tzuyu had seemed like they would be the last of their friends to want kids, but once they had Emi they had fallen in love with her so hard. Neither kept too many pictures of themselves around, so they didn't used to have very much hanging in their house, but their walls were littered with photos of Emi. Emi’s first day of school in Korea. Emi’s school sports day. Emi’s first piano recital. Emi’s first trip to the zoo. All of those moments were arranged across Tzuyu and Chaeyoung’s walls. Looking at it made Sana a little nostalgic. Emi was growing up so fast. Sana remembered when she was younger. She had always loved Sana because Sana would speak Japanese with her. She liked Mina and Momo for the same reasons, but she was especially close to Sana. “Aunt Sana, Aunt Mina!” Sana wasn’t given much warning before Emi captured them both in a hug. “Hello Emi-chan.” Mina smiled at Emi, returning the hug with one arm awkwardly. “Hey Emi-chan! It’s been a little while since we’ve seen you!” Sana smiled at Emi, sneaking a kiss onto the girl’s forehead, which caused Emi’s face to scrunch up. “Aunt Sana stop. I’m not a baby anymore.” Emi whined in Japanese. “You’ll always be a baby to me.” Sana giggled. “What have you been up to lately sweetie?” Sana asked in Korean, so Chaeyoung could join the conversation. Chaeyoung and Tzuyu had both learned a lot of Japanese since adopting Emi. Both had taken the N5 exam a couple years after adopting Emi and Tzuyu had recently passed the N3. Chaeyoung had stopped after the N4, but they had both put a lot of work into learning Japanese for Emi. Their argument was if Emi was going to be putting in a lot of work to learn Korean, they should be putting in work to learn Japanese. But as much as they had learned both were conversational at best and couldn’t entirely keep up with native conversations. “Not much.” Emi shrugged. “Your soccer team won the last tournament you played in.” Chaeyoung commented. “Oh yeah?” Sana asked, Emi nodding. “That’s great Emi-chan!” Sana wasn’t used to Emi being so quiet, but she could tell she was being a lot more quiet than she usually was. “I heard you got really good grades this year.” Mina smiled at Emi, who nodded. “That’s amazing Emi.” “I still got a B in Korean.” Emi pouted. “A B is still a pretty good grade Emi.” Sana pointed out. “Korean is hard, I barely got B’s when I was in school in Korean. But you're doing amazing. We’re all so proud of you, you know that right?” “Thanks Auntie Sana.” Emi couldn’t stop a blush from spreading over her cheeks at the praise both of her Aunts were giving her.
xx
The minute Hansol gets there, Emi’s attention is drawn away from the adults as she runs screaming to her friend about their latest math homework. Jeongho follows the two upstairs to Emi’s room while Seoyun briefly makes an appearance in the living room with the adults. Her face is buried in Dahyun’s side, and Dahyun mouths to the others she had a bad dream last night and had been reserved all morning. “Hey Seoyunie, Auntie Jihyo is in the kitchen and I’m sure she would love to say hi to you.” Sana pointed out to the little girl. Seoyun loved Jihyo like Emi loved her. Ever since they had met her for the first time, Seoyun had been attached to Jihyo. No one was entirely sure why, but Auntie Jihyo had always been really special to Seoyun.
“Aunt Jihyo?” The eight year old asked, exhaustion on her face as she looked at Sana. “Yup. In the kitchen.” Seoyun immediately let go of Dahyun and ran off towards the kitchen. “Thanks Unnie.” Dahyun stood up straighter now that Seoyun was gone.
“Of course, rough morning?” Sana asked.
“I woke up a bit late this morning, so Jeong was the first to notice but she has been attached to one of us since we woke up.”
“She was hanging off Hansol when I found her.” Jeongyeon nodded. “After that she switched to me for a bit and right before we left it was Dahyun.” “She’s weird about touch. Sometimes when she’s like that she wants to constantly be touched. We always just let her come to us though, we just want her to be comfortable.” Dahyun added.
“I hope she feels better soon. I might be a little much for her to be around everyone for so long.” Mina muttered worriedly. “I talked about it with her before we left, I might have to take her home early if she needs it. She does really want to see Jihyo though.” Dahyun giggled. “Anyway, you two are being particularly clingy today.” “They are always clingy.” Chaeyoung pointed out. “No they are partially on top of each other now.” Dahyun gestureed to how Sana was basically in Mina’s lap. “They haven’t been this bad since they were in their honeymoon phase.”
“Hyun I’m going to have to go with Chaeyoung on this one. Those two are always on top of each other.” Jeongyeon agreed with Chaeyoung, the younger giving her a high five for agreeing with her instead of her wife. “Hey we are allowed to be affectionate.” Sana piped up. “No it’s not allowed.” Jeongyeon joked, Mina sticking her tongue out in response and holding Sana closed. She had one hand on Sana’s stomach, trying to be discreet about it as she adjusted their position. When they heard the door open followed by screaming sounds, they knew their group was finally complete. “Aunt Chaeyoung!” Kazumi burst into the living room. “Is Emi Unnie upstairs?” “Yup.” Chaeyoung giggled at the look on Kazumi’s face. Kazumi grabbed her brother’s hand before pulling him up towards Emi’s room, Haneul sticking back with her switch in her hands. “Sorry.” Momo apologized for her daughter as they joined the others. “They had some sort of bet and I think Zumi won.” “Nah Hansol did the same thing.” Jeongyeon laughed at the apology. “Now the other clingy couple is here.” “We aren’t that clingy.” Nayeon pouted. “You're holding hands right now.” “And?” Nayeon asked, not seeing the issue. “Whatever.” Jeongyeon sighed exasperatedly. “Does Tzuyu need any help?” “Jihyo’s been in there helping her for a while, but I can go check.” Chaeyoung nodded, standing up from where she had sat on the floor and went off towards the kitchen. Haneul took her spot, all of her attention on the game in front of her.
“Hey Haneul.” Haneul let out a little hey as a greeting, not even looking up at Dahyun as she spoke. “Hey Haneul what are you playing?” Mina asked.
“Breath of the wild.” Sana immediately knew when her niece said that her wife was going to leave her side for the game. Mina squatted next to Haneul, and watched the game. “Momo said you guys had something to tell us.” Nayeon started a new conversation once everyone was settled. “Oh yeah.” Sana nodded. “Is it as good as I’m expecting?” Nayeon hinted with one raised eyebrow.
“I don’t know about that.” Sana giggled. “But it is pretty big.” “Good, than I look forward to hearing it.” xx
Lunch is served not much later. They are able to convince all the kids to come down and while they were eating someone had come up with the plan to start a super smash tournament in the middle of eating. Since the kids usually ate in the living room and the adults ate in the dining room, they didn’t notice this at first until they heard screaming and Jihyo went to check on them.
They tell them on the rare break the kids were taking from their tournament after all their parents had told them to eat before they played. Most of them weren’t paying attention, all of their attention was on each other as they talked. They were at the age where hanging out with other people their own age was infinitely better than interacting with adults, so they weren’t paying much attention to them.
When Sana finally tells them, the room goes quiet right before they are bombarded with questions and congratulations. They are barely able to keep up with them as everyone talked at once, but once they get through them the overall mood of the room seems happier. Everyone seems happier. Well, except for one person.
Seoyun was off pouting while her parents were excitedly talking to Sana and Mina. They were offering them old baby stuff they had in storage, asking about her due date, and talking about stuff like that when Jihyo went off to check on the kids, who had moved back to the living room for the smash tournament. Seoyun was sitting off to the side, her attention focused on Tzuyu and Chaeyoung’s dog butter. “Hey Seo.” Jihyo sat next to her. “What’s up? Why are you playing by yourself.” “I don’t like smash.” Seoyun pouted. “Oh that’s okay. I don’t love it either.” Jihyo smiled, reaching one hand out to pet butter. “Is something wrong?” “Auntie Jihyo is having a baby.” Seoyun said, curling herself into a ball as she continued to pet the dog. “That’s a weird thought.” “Oh yeah?” Jihyo asked. “Uh-hum. You haven’t had a baby before. It will be weird for you too.” Seoyun commented. It didn’t take long for Jihyo to pick up on the signals Seoyun was putting down. “Hey Seoyun… You know I will still have time for you right?” Jihyo asked. She took Seoyun’s silence for an answer. “Seoyun I’m still going to hang out with you. Just because I’ll have a baby I won’t suddenly not have time for you.” Jihyo explained. “Are you sure?” “Of course Seo.” Jihyo smiled at Seoyun. “I’ll always make time for you.” “You promise?” “I swear Seo.”
And Jihyo meant it. Even if Seoyun wasn’t her daughter, she had always loved Jihyo. And Jihyo had always loved her back.

I took a bit of a break from this one after doing so much all at once. Also had to decide what way to go. I didn't plan ahead for her to run out so now I'm winging it a bit.
Marinette had left the Eiffel Tower that night with Cassie's number. At first she thought the girl was trying to make a joke when she suggested telling her parents that she had been running around as a magical hero for 2 years. But Cassie gave a well-reasoned argument for why she should reveal herself. Much of it was the ways that it strained their relationship and caused her to need to lie all the time. But beyond that there was the added burden on being the guardian with not only no additional support but having lost heroes as they had been revealed.
Marinette didn't run home and tell her parents right away. She took a few days to mull it over. She knew that the guardian had wanted secrecy above all but she wasn't sure how prudent that was. He had only become a guardian because he made a major mistake as a child that he couldn't fix. His secrecy had only protected him but didn't solve any problems. When faced with the same problem that had never been fixed his solution was to run and hide again while leaving Paris vulnerable. It had been her and Chat Noir who had fixed his mistake even if she had eventually made a mistake that cost him the guardianship. She has solved the issue even if things were still tough.
Perhaps the additional support of her parents would be a good thing. She should probably discuss it with Chat Noir first. She had been avoiding discussing any of it with him or Damian. She sent them both messages that she did not want them to bring it up until she had time to process. Damian took it pretty well but Adrien seemed to keep trying to catch her eye to get her to talk, but then she had known Adrien longer and he also found out about her secret biological family so the situations were quite a bit different. She pulled out her phone to text him.
---
Marinette brought pastries to the park, including a double cheesy bread for Plagg and macarons for Tikki. The box lid was pushed back down over the kwamis so Marinette and Adrien could talk. He offered her fruit infused water before they wandered away from the photo shoot set that he had just left. He used a wipe to remove the makeup and ran his hands through his hair causing it to be adorably fluffy.
Marinette wasn't sure how to start. She avoided Adrien's soft eyes filled with concern and understanding. She picked the flaky bits off her croissant instead and looked up when he waved at some others across the park. She recognized the girls from school but she didn't really know them. Hopefully they wouldn't talk about seeing her in the park with Adrien. She hadn't told Alya because Lila had been nearby and she didn't want to make a big deal of it because Alya had noticed that they were acting a bit weird around each other.
"Do you know them?" Marinette asked.
"We share some classes. Just found out today that I'm partnered with the one in purple for the big history project. Hopefully that will work out okay "
"I was partnered with Nathaniel. It's nice to have someone I already know is reliable. He might be quiet for presenting but I don't know if I could handle the stress of an unreliable project partner."
"Because of all the other stress from things you couldn't or haven't shared?" he asked quietly.
"Um-yeah. Actually that is mostly what I wanted to talk about today. I'm going to tell my parents about everything."
"Isn't it all supposed to all be a secret?"
"According to Tikki, the level of secrecy has depended on the guardian handing out miraculi."
"So you think we should tell people now that you are guardian?"
"But necessarily. Mostly I think that it's important that people don't know. But we aren't adults who control our own lives and schedules. Sometimes we need extra support out allowances."
"I don't think I could tell my father. Even if he would see me, I think he would find a way to prevent me sneaking out if he knew."
"That is probably true. But my parents are the opposite. Having to lie and sneak around behind their back has been harmful to all of us. They have been a lot more worried recently anytime I'm not where they expected."
"Is this because of what Superboy said about you being Robin's sister?"
"I--"
She faltered and looked down instead of continuing. Adrien reached out and picked up her hand saying her name softly.
"Marinette, you don't have to tell me if you don't want to. But sometimes it helps to talk even if it's hard to say."
"No, I think it will help you to know. It's just all been so confusing. Do you remember the man from the hotel?"
"Yeah. From Alya's party."
"I met him that night when I went to change during the party. The next day he wanted to have breakfast with me." She bit her lip before spitting out the next words all at once. "Because he is my biological father."
"You said he made your parents nervous. Did he treat your mom badly and that is why they never told you?"
"Actually, they never knew until then."
"How--"
"My parents had help from a fertility clinic. I didn't know until I took a DNA test after we did blood typing in biology class because mine wasn't right." She looked down again. "They aren't worried that he will hurt me. They are worried that he will take me away."
"Cases like that from donors or whatever are really hard to fight though."
Except he is rich. Like really rich. Bruce Wayne rich."
The words just sat there for a moment as Adrien considered them. She could see him working it out and could tell the exact moment he knew when he looked back at her with shock in his eyes.
"Bruce Wayne is your biological father?" He breathed out hard. "The Bruce Wayne."
"That reaction is a lot of why I've not told many people. I didn't even know who he was until the fashion show. I was so worried about everything else that I never considered asking more about him. He was just Bruce."
He wrapped his arms around her shoulders and squeezed her close for a moment. Marinette leaned against him less nervous than she felt before but still with the weight of talking to her parents.
"I agree you should tell your parents. It will help them to know. It will probably just give them other things to worry about." He smiled down at her. "Lucky for them that we always save the day, My Lady."
She looked up at him with the use of his hero's affectionate nickname for her. He was definitely looking at her how Chat Noir tended to look at Ladybug. She tensed a bit, not sure how to manage his possible feelings now that he knew she was Ladybug and not just Marinette. But he said nothing more. He leaned over and kissed her head gently and told her goodbye with a final squeeze to her shoulders.
---
Her parents just stared at her after she blurted out her secret identity without preamble. They were stunned into silence and waited for her to crack a smile before they reacted. They looked at each other and then both started talking about their feelings about her revelation. If they didn't calm down Marinette predicted she would have a headache soon. She decided it was best to wait it out rather than try defending herself.
As she expected it was mostly disbelief and shock at the dangers she had faced but there was an underlying message of pride. They kept on for a few minutes while Marinette waited for them to get it out of their system. She could tell it was ending when they both held her close and they ceased the onslaught of incredulous concern. They all went quiet for a minute until Marinette asked their thoughts once they had been able to process for a few minutes.
"Did you guys have any questions?"
"Why did you tell us? Actually why didn't you tell us before?" her dad asked.
"Well things have changed recently and it makes it all so much different."
"Your leader. He was trapped by Hawkmoth and named you guardian. What does that mean?" her mom asked.
"It means I'm but responsible for all of the miraculi in Paris. The previous guardian had moved on and had no memory of any of the miraculous or having met me."
"I don't know whether to be more upset that you kept it secret all this time or that we didn't notice." Sabine said.
"I wanted to tell you. I really hate lying."
"We know you do Sweetheart. That's part of what makes this hard to see. We didn't expect it from you," her dad said.
"I always worried that you would find out I'm missing and think something bad had happened. Especially after Bruce showed up. You were so worried at first."
"We are still worried a little. But so far he seems to just want an opportunity to love you." Sabine said. "We can't fault him for that."
Marinette agreed. Although it was a very strange situation, he genuinely seemed to want to be a part of her life without making himself a nuisance. She even thought he might he holding back a desire to buy her everything she ever wanted. He had left town again and she could only hope Damian would keep his silence, but he would be returning as soon as his schedule allowed.
They continued talking about all the ways these two major revelations had affected their lives while they made dinner and ate. It was all a huge weight off Marinette and she was happy it had been suggested. She really did believe that it was the best thing for her and the best way to protect her parents, even if it meant they would have to watch their reactions. Her dad might have been thinking about that because as she was heading up to her room he stopped her one last time.
"Does this mean you are in love with Chat Noir but he rejected you without knowing you were Ladybug?"

Background: Casey and her brother Oliver were born and raised in a small town. They lived a happy and very normal childhood, until Maggie and Tom, their parents, died in a car accident when the twins were 7 years old. After the accident, the Valentine's siblings were raised by their grandma Marie, who passed away about a month before Casey began her residency at Edenbrook.
Personality traits: She is a very private person, but she's also passionate about her patients and about the things and the people that matter to her. She is a team player (especially when it comes to work, she loves recognizing her peers work, from doctors to nurses, paramedics and even security) and she is a fighter. She also considers herself a nerd and she's proud of it.
On the relationship with her brother: Both Oliver and Casey have always felt it's them against the world. They're not only siblings and the only family they both have left, but they're also best friends. They've always faced life together and they fully support each other on everything they do, so even though being apart while Casey was doing her residency in Boston was not an ideal situation, they both knew it was necessary for her to develop her full potential as a doctor. Oliver couldn't be more proud of his sister.
On her love life: Her experience when it comes to relationships is not the best. No matter how she acts regarding the relationship, she always ended up being hurt. By the time she was accepted at Edenbrook, she had been single for two years and she had completely given up on love. When she met Ethan, one of the things that surprised her the most was how they shared the same vision on marriage and kids (of course, she has her own troubled past), and when she began developing feelings for him (she fought her feelings for Ethan just as much as he did!), she began to wonder if she had actually been in love before meeting him.
On her parents accident: Casey's parents were on their way to pick Casey and Oliver from grandma Marie's house when some driver (who was apparently drunk) crashed their car after running a red light. The responsible managed to escape, and there were no witnesses, so there was no one to call the 911 until a few minutes later. This meant that the EMT and first responders arrived when it was already too late to save them. The fact that they died because they didn't receive medical care on time kind of stuck with little Casey, who promised herself that she would become a doctor to do anything to prevent people from dying for not receiving the care they needed when they needed it.

12 Random Facts on Casey
Casey and Oliver don’t have nicknames because grandma Marie HATED them. She always said they had names for a reason, and that they had to respect their parents’ wishes.
Casey was always a good student because she genuinely loved learning new things and her sense of curiosity demanded her to keep learning. The good grades were just an added bonus.
She wasn't popular in high school, but she wasn't at the bottom of the popularity list either. She was a low profile student, but she loved participating in different extracurricular activities, so that led her to meet a lot of people.
Bryce has never understood why he loses every time that he challenges Casey to a basketball match. What he doesn’t know is that Casey actually played basketball since she was a kid and until she graduated from high school.
She isn't a big fan of parties. She likes attending one once in a while, but she is definitely happier when staying at home or at a bar or a restaurant with a group of friends sharing some good conversation. She also hates getting drunk because it makes her feel she's not in control of herself, so she most definitely stops after the second or the third drink (as soon as she begins to feel tipsy).
She knows how to drive, but she hates it, so she avoids it like the plague. She'll always prefer using the subway.
She has always felt she had to grow up too fast after her parents' accident, so even though she was always surrounded by love, she feels she never lived her childhood to the fullest after her parents died.
When she was 16, she had one of her ovaries removed due to cysts. In order to protect her only ovary left, she has to permanently be on the pill. This also means that the chances for her to get pregnant are pretty much a Russian roulette. She must plan her pregnancies and she may have no issues getting pregnant, but there is also a real chance that she may have fertility issues or an ectopic pregnancy. So Casey pretty much forced herself to forget about the idea of becoming a mom.
When talking about her love life, Oliver and Casey have always had this discussion on whether she had two, “two and a half” or three relationships before meeting Ethan. She did have two serious relationships, but the third one... debatable.
She claims she didn't google Ethan during her university years because she didn't care about him, but only about his book. Then, when she was admitted to Edenbroook, she refused to google him to see his picture, claiming that "she wanted the knowledge to do all the talking".
Grandma Marie was the person who gave Casey her copy of Ethan Ramsey's book. Casey used to borrow the book from the library for her own investigations for the advanced biology class in her senior year in high school, but she always complained that she couldn't make notes in the book. So grandma Marie decided to give her the book as a Christmas present to give her one final push to convince her to go to medical school. A few days before Marie died, Casey gave her the news that she had been accepted at Edenbrook to work with Ethan.
She decided not to change her last name after marrying Ethan. It was important for her to keep it because it’s one of the few things she has left of her parents, so it has some great sentimental value. When she told Ethan about it, he just said “I’d hate for you to change your last name just for some stupid, old-fashioned and sexist tradition, especially when you’ve made yourself a name on medicine with your maiden name”.

vexos hcs and random notes
ill update as i go, because yes i do update my masterlists every once in awhile, i should probably add them to my pinned...
General
I sincerely hope they have a small living arrangement so I can inflict them with the pain of having to share almost everything with each other
I just want Shadow and Lync to share a bunk
Like to think that alongside Volt, Mylene and Lync were also recruited by Hydron
None of them officially joined until they were a bit older but probably trained to eventually join the Vexos; in the mean time they probably worked for Hydron or something like that
Volt recruited at 11; Lync a year later and Mylene following not long after (respectively 13, 8, 12 when they’re all gathered)
My reasoning to why Volt is patient with Lync’s antics and Mylene less so but doesn’t lash out as badly as you think she would around annoying little kids; grew up tgt moment
Spectra probably forced his way into the Vexos like “hiiii i see you dont have any Vexos members <3″ bcs obv he wasn’t using royal scientist dad privelages (i think, bcs Clay seems horrified abt Spectra being a Vexos and well, being Spectra)
Shadow had an advantage of being a nobleman (in terms of him being accepted into the Vexos’ ranks)
the Vexos and their set of rules magent-ed on the fridge door or something and every time they go over a page they have to staple/tape a new page on
Joined in this order, Volt, Spectra, Shadow, Mylene, Lync, Gus
Vexos being a “chance of death low but the chance is still there” type of job... they feel like idols girl help they are bakugan idol group who work for the government
sorry the way the vestal kids talk about them... going to treat the Vexos like a kpop group now
Spectra Phantom / Keith Fermin
[canon] son of a (royal?) scientist. definitely had it good and comfy
think it’d be REALLY funny if he already knew Shadow before he became Spectra, Shadow just doesn’t recognize him bcs of his stupid get up
throws childhood friends Shadow Spectra at you, just two weirdos
Keith specifically keeps Shadow from ever meeting his sister which is why neither of them really recognize each other
Pre-Spectra; probably would’ve been really into bakugan biology and what not. Feels like the kind of person to talk w/ his dad about “do you think we could change their appearance if we messed w/ their mechanical ball form or would it not carry over to their released forms”
this mf looks like a biology major i feel it in my guts
mom isn’t dead she just divorced Clay bcs he didn’t know how to balance family and work, good for her
probably lives in another city now, and it’s a bit more of a hassle to meet with her kids so they don’t see her as much but she is present in their lives (keep in contact in other ways)
probably went a bit silent when Keith went missing
didn’t bleach his eyebrows bcs he didn’t want to harm the skin around there and he never thought he’d take the mask off around others, or about how stupid he’d look without the mask
please please please please draw him with his pink hair roots in his MS fit he should've grown out some of his bleached hair by then
daddy issues is truly the root of evil
Gus Grav
Just Some Gut background; middle class just living life
[canon?] was going on a route to being an “idol brawler”, because that’s kind of what their brawls felt like, since it was all purely for show with some competition. it felt less like a sport and more spectacle.
Gus wanting to be an idol brawler is actually such a funny string of words put together I’m making that a thing, if he didn’t join the Vexos he would’ve been an idol brawler
I like the Gus needs glasses hc (shoutout to @marmeladebois ‘s post on that)
The hc of him being half human and Runo’s half brother is so good
Cooks well but refuses to help cook fr the Vexos (unless Spectra specifically asks) --> that job is usually left to Volt
not related but reminds me heavily of yugioh vrain’s Spectre (or other way around... Gus was the blueprint)
Shadow Prove
[handbook canon] a vestal nobleman
has an older brother (oc; Lux- casual Haos brawler)
inferiority complex or whatever, the only thing he bested his brother in was Bakugan
the Prove family being typical prim proper noble family and forcing Shadow to be repressed is something, but the Proves having the same kind of wavelength as Shadow but in different variations is funnier. They’re just Like That.
Probably not a military family, does work closely with the government still; um im thinking somewhere under the Fermins but not by much
Considered running away from home several times
Unwillingly has knowledge on Vestal classic literature/ music
hard clutching a wall whenever he wants to join in on discussions about it bcs he knows this stuff but no way is he going to make himself look like a nerd + hes not actually that interested
*debates you for fun and bcs i hate u <3*
You know how he doesn’t take his job as a Vexos member super seriously, I wonder:
did his parents force him to be a Vexos since he wasn’t interested in the political side of his family and probably against taking up anything related to it, so they had him do something that’d still be beneficial to the family?
joined to pursue a freedom he didn’t have as a nobleman and is now just taking it really easy?
has clowns > jesters debate with volt; obv he’s team clown, volt is team jester
incredibly irrelevant but if he was a human he’d be chinese, i’ve claimed him, prodigal son older brother and fail son dynamic is there
Mylene Ferrow
While I like the idea of her being from a military family, I want to make her like Ling Wen (TGCF) in the sense she started from the bottom and climbed to the top... it fits her ambitious nature of grasping for more, she hasn’t reached what she considers the top just yet...
[very Ling Wen specific but Mylene being put in jail fr crimes unknown to me and being recruited  by Hydron bcs she kicked serious ass is an entertaining thought]
I like to think she’s closest to Shadow due to the fact he kind of forces his presence onto her so... not her choice in that matter. “annoying” to “endearingly annoying, you still aren’t getting special treatment though”
Ofc Volt and Lync are on the same level, but I think they all know when to give each other space so they’re more of a “we hold each other at a distance, but we’re aware of out closeness which is enough for us”
Then its Spectra and then Gus in the “closest to Mylene” scale; she just straight up hates Gus and it’s mutual
whoever made the “Mylene and Spectra were exes” hc I think it’s really funny so I’m adding it here
terrible fashion, she’s the one who chose the outfits when she and Shadow went to earth; her fashionable armor look she usually has was designed with Volt’s help, she just voiced what she generally wanted
Her red lipstick look was bcs she thought it’d make her look more serious/ intimidating (Volt and Lync approved, it rlly does work on her)
Shadow matches w/ her (via his red nails) after they get teamed up tgt several times bcs he thinks they’re basically the go-to duo matchup whenever they’re assigned work n it’d be cool
Very forthcoming about the fact she used to be considered a criminal and was from same rundown area Volt and Lync come from
She’s grateful she got out of jail but she still has no respect for Hydron and despite how much she tries to hide it she does make it pretty clear to him she doesn’t really like him
I wish I had more to say about her... but It’s all relationship esque, i think in general she’s enjoyable and good so what I want more out of her is character dynamics
Lync Volan
[eng dub] he has grandparents; whether they’re still alive or not is...?
was part of the same area Volt is from
probably aware of each other but didn’t really know each other
you sound like you have mommy issues
came from the same area as Volt, but lived further out and closer to those areas where there were some bits of nature left
ill expand on why he got picked up by Hydron another day lazy rn
Volt Luster
[canon] he’s from an area that just straight up looks like yugioh 5ds’ Satellite, and Hydron was the one who pulled him out of there
He says Hydron pulled him out of there when he was a kid? I’d assume at youngest it’d be like Hydron (8) and Volt (11)
has a neat collection of handmade jester dolls
lot more artistic than he seems
Had his guardian bakugan with him the longest; had Brontes even before he met Hydron
Would the others consider him weird fr having a talking Bakugan that acted friendly with him n cracked jokes?

Since everyone loved my Autobot Starscream headcanons imma do another one because there is no one that has the power to stop me.
--
Starscream feels so small and weak when the others are around, he thinks his body is too thin to even be comparable to their much thicker and stronger frames. Even the youngest members of team Prime are bulkier than him.
The seeker apologizes to Arcee for killing her partner almost everyday, and it annoys her to no end. Arcee knows that Cliffjumper's death was quick and relatively painless since Megatron never got his claws on the red mech. She slowly warms up to Starscream, even though it takes some time.
Starscream always gets sad and quiet when he has to talk about his former trinemates. Both Thundercracker and Skywarp were special to him, no matter how annoying they could be at times. Arcee and Optimus are the ones who can relate to him the most since they've lost so many people dear to them. The grounders both know they can never experience the same pain Starscream had to live with though.
He mostly hides in the hangar when he's stressed, which happens quite a lot, and sleeps in his alt mode, hiding among the many aircrafts sitting in there. He feels less lonely with them. The team knows this, and they let him do it because no one knows how to help him feel better.
He's the only one who sees Optimus as a person and not as a holy being. He knows the Prime is powerful and he possesses the matrix of leadership, but in the end he's just a cybertronian like everyone else. There is no reason to treat him any less or more than a friend. Optimus is more relaxed around him, not always serious and straight faced in Starscream's presence, and that's because the Prime knows he won't be made fun of if he let's out his inner sparkling a little. They joke and tell stories about their pasts when they're alone together. It's their little secret.
He is always interested in Raf's computer skills, and sometimes even asks for the tiny boy's help to better understand human technology. Sometimes they talk about physics, sometimes chemistry, and even biology. Raf knows how much of a nerd Starscream is, and the former scientist doesn't mind it.
He loves to listen to music with Miko. The sounds are always different, and the melodies can change his mood depending on what type he listens to. Miko makes him do her homework in exchange for letting the seeker use her very tiny devices that play music. Starscream knows he can just use the computers to download or play them, but allows her to think he doesn't know any better.
He loves old cooking shows like nothing else. He stumbles upon Jack trying to find something nice to cook for his mother as a surprise, (he's a thoughtful and nice kid after all) and instantly gets curious about how these barbaric creatures kill and burn others' corpses for their own pleasure. He knows how to make food better than anyone on the base, and wishes he could consume organic food just to know what makes humans love it so much.
He plays chess against Raf and holy shit the kid's hard to beat in "brain games."
Starscream's also a slut for old fashioned board games, such as Scrabble and Jenga. When Fowler brings bot sized versions of those he gets so happy. Like fluttering wings and fidgety fingers kind of happy.
--
I fuckin love him so much he deserves to be a softboy with mom friend energy
Idc if this is too ooc I honestly don't give a flying shit

Family Headcanons-- Vol 1. Graleister Fam
Tumblr media
The first in my series on the Catalysts' next generation. Inspired by the amazing @mauvecatfic who really takes the cake for the insane detail of her own headcanons. So, here we go....
Grace and Aleister-- who takes his wife's surname very quickly after the world is restored--have three children; Reginald Aleister and twins Erin Grace and Imogen Faith.
Tumblr media
Pictured in age order; Reggie (about 21), Erin, and Immy (about 15).
Reginald Aleister Hall
Reggie is born in July 2022, and is the first Catalyst baby. He spends his early years with his parents and paternal grandmother on La Huerta, and develops a tight bond with Liv Montoya, a little under a year his junior. His primary years of schooling are spent in the States, not far from Hartfeld, before spending a year home-schooling, traveling widely with his parents and sisters. The whole family moves to San Trobida, where he attends high school with Liv.
Reggie is shy and quiet-- though this is frequently overshadowed by his need to let the world know when he is right. He's the type to back up his arguments with his parents with scientific papers. Both Liv and Immy agree that this makes him a massive pain in the ass, but they love him nonetheless.
Into adulthood: Reggie applies to study Biology, specialising in genetics-- his grandma is a big inspiration-- at Oxford University, and is stunned to receive an offer. There is a resulting fall-out with Liv, whom he'd confidently told he'd been attending college in San Trobida with her, but this is resolved tearily before he leaves. In London, he meets his future wife, Mariama, who has moved from Sierra Leone to study entomology, one of Reggie's subjects of great enthusiasm. They bond nerding over bugs and eventually marry. Upon visiting La Huerta for the first time, Mariama, naturally, has a joyous freak-out over the island's endemic insects, and Reggie just falls in love with her all the more. Together, they have three children; Angela, Samuel, and Olivette.
Erin Grace Hall
Erin is born in November 2028, the first-born of twins. She is assigned male at birth and given the name Ernest 'Ernie' which is dropped at the age of four. From as early as she could voice her opinions on the matter, Erin showed a strong preference for dressing the same as her twin sister especially when dresses are involved. She always grouped herself as 'girl' along with her mom and sister, and it became apparent that she was not simply wanting to be like her twin, rather that she is transgender. Erin (and Immy's) first year of schooling was a world-travelling adventure, with her parents teaching her to read and write. She is six when the family moves to San Trobida, where she benefits from the country's strong progressive swing in the wake of the war. Living in the most left-leaning part of the country, she is embraced as herself by her school community.
Erin, like her older brother, is quiet, but rather more of a pushover. She is conscientious and sensible, but easily led, and avoids creating a stir and drawing unnecessary attention to herself like the plague. Coupled with her sensitive nature, this can lead to a build-up of stress that causes her to retreat further into herself. It takes a lot to push Erin to anger, but when she finally gets there, it's explosive. Grace keeps open a strong line of communication with Erin, in whom she sees so much of herself, to help her manage her emotions. From a young age, Erin is obsessed with cooking, and desserts in particular. Raised on Raj's shows-- naturally, she spends Catalyst reunions following him around like a wide-eyed shy shadow. He, of course, is an absolute gem with her; always making her feel welcome at his side and showing her secret tricks.
Into adulthood: Erin returns to the States to take up her first job as Quinn's apprentice at For Goodness Cake, and trains to be a pastry chef. On her return to San Trobida, she sets up her own dessert kitchen which goes on to win international awards... and feature on more than one occasion in Raj's televised cooking adventures. Together with her husband, Johan, a gentle-natured artist, she sets up home in a tiny house overlooking a beautiful stretch of the San Trobida coast. They have a daughter, Kristal Delfina, whom Erin absolutely dotes on.
Imogen Faith Hall
Imogen, twin to Erin, is the youngest, smallest and loudest of the Hall children. By the time she starts school in San Trobida, she can already speak a good amount of Spanish from the year spent traveling and teaching from her Tia Estela. Though she'd always seek independence from her twin, throughout her schooling she always kept one eye on Erin, making certain she was doing okay.
Immy is a wind-up merchant, loving a laugh at the expense of others... occasionally bordering on mean. She's both imaginative and calculating, so practical jokes come easily to her. Aleister becomes a more patient man out of necessity with his daughter testing him at every turn. Immy absolutely idolises Fun Aunt Zahra and Fun Uncle Craig, and Zahra is frequently heard saying that she doesn't fucking want kids... but Immy could come and live with them any time. Immy is far less demonstratively affectionate than her siblings, preferring to show love through including her people in whatever mischief she's cooking up, and the simple act of being with them. She is certain that Erin doesn't have a clue just how much she adores her.... Perhaps some day Immy will spell it out.
Into adulthood: Having had an aptitude and keen interest in photography from a young age, observant, technically-minded and creative Immy surprised no one by making it her career. Expressing her deeper emotions with words would never be Immy's strong point, but she discovered a genius in speaking through the images she captures. If you were to see a stunning image on one of San Trobida Tourism's materials, you'd do well putting money on it being an Imogen Hall. Her photographs of La Huerta, of course, are carefully guarded, with none showing a hint of anything unusual or fantastic leaving the island. All the Catalysts, though, have at least one of her La Huerta landscapes up somewhere in their homes. Immy lives in San Trobida with her two spouses, Elliot and Salome, whom she met in art school. When Salome had Elliot's baby, a girl named Jade, Immy always intended to be a secondary, more distant mother figure, but she surprised herself with the depth of her love for her daughter. She would later become a mother for the second time, this time biologically, to a son, Arthur Aleister. Never quite trusting in where he stood with his aloof daughter, Aleister broke into floods of happy tears when he heard.
Next up... Quinchelle's kiddos!
