Im the anon who gave the prompt that led to to "the vines that bind" and 1) I wanted you to know how much I loved it. Magnus asking alec what he thought simon thought of his jewelry? I was cackling. It's so, so good and I couldn't have been more impressed with what you wrote. I'm so soft for any fics of yours that have greenhouse or gardening
And 2) I would love love love a follow up to it, maybe an in depth look at one of the hunts that you mentioned at the end of the fic? (Or Simon continuing to make a fool of himself in front of Alec lol)

so here is just everyday in this verse having a rough hunt and Simon making it rougher, I hope you enjoy! i love that you enjoy the greenhouse and gardening fics too!

“Alec, you uh, have a little something there.” Simon motions to his face, like that tells Alec anything. Especially when he knows he looks a mess, having had to carry one of his shadowhunters two miles and bleeding out like a broken cup.
Alec turns, looks down at Izzy’s mess of a boyfriend, who is clean and fresh and probably popped over from whatever mundane establishment he’s been haunting.
His hand is covered in blood and Alec, with a flat, deadpan expression, rubs across his face and stubble, smearing blood and viscera across his skin and scruff.
“Did I get it?” He asks, dry and waiting and Simon looks like he’s seen a ghost, stepping back and eyes wide and throat bobbing as he tries to swallow and breathe. It’s not the blood either, Simon doesn’t crave angelic blood nowadays unless it’s Jace’s blood and Alec raises a brow.
“Uh, wow. Okay. No. You didn’t at all. But I’m gonna just go and let you be, you’ll figure it out when you clean up. I’m sure.” And Simon speeds off, a blur as he goes to finally bug Izzy and give them all a break from his presence.
“Do you know what that was about?” Alec asks his second, Mirai is only two months in, but she’s been angel-sent and not in a bad way, even making sure that Alec is covered and undisturbed when he sleeps at the loft.
“No, sir.” Mirai tells him, tone clipped and tired and then she smirks, something dark in her smile. “I try not to listen when he speaks.”
“Lucky bitch.” Alec mutters with a fond note to his voice and he gets a respectful, ‘sorry bastard’ in return and nods his head, knowing that it’s a sincere comment. “Get some rest while you can,” he tells her and when she raises a pointed brow, he shakes his head. “I’ll have Alyssa wake you when I leave, but for now, I need you to rest up. This—” and he waves his hand, “won’t be settled for a while. You’ll be helping me by being fresh and available when I finally sign off for the next twenty-four.”
Immediately she nods, pleased and accepting and Alec wonders how he ever managed to survive as long as he has without a second like Mirai.
Mirai who can call him a bastard in front of every single member of his Institute and they will all know and understand that there isn’t an ounce of disrespect in her words. Someone Alec can tease and when the timing is good, be met with fondness and amusement.
It’s almost a habit now, the two of them disparaging over the other’s duties and grateful that they aren’t required to do each other’s jobs.
Alec forgoes the showers and heads straight for his office, unlocking the private showers that he rarely takes the time to use. The decontamination process is quick and then he leans against the wall, letting the heat pound against his aching back. He’ll need an iratze now and possible another later and he’ll need to call Magnus, let him know he’ll be late.
Alec gets a towel around his waist and then he lets it drop, too tired to deal with it as he trudges over to the steam covered mirror. He wipes it away, making sure there aren’t any scrapes or obvious bruises on his face and he winces as he takes off the ear cuff Magnus had picked out for him that morning.
It’s a little dragon, curled around the cartilage and Alec washes it carefully, getting the ichor out of its grooves before he puts it back and then he carefully washes his face. There is a stud through his eyebrow now, made of dark metal and the gem is hidden behind muck.
Finally done, and presentable enough to not send Magnus into a panic, Alec summons his stele and sends a quick-fire message.
Barely twenty seconds later and Magnus is portaling in, the view of a shocked face disappearing as Alec and whoever Magnus was with get a glimpse of each other.
Magnus stops, staring at him with wide, hungry eyes and then he snarls and opens the portal back up, hand reaching through it and Alec can see the tensing of his muscles and wonders what Magnus is doing. He finds out a moment later when Magnus holds a glossy mass of writhing tendrils in his hand and then he crushes them with magic.
“It was their memories, or their eyes.” Magnus tells him, nonchalant and content the closer he steps to Alec. “Darling, you look exhausted?”
And Alec ignores the world and lets himself fall into Magnus’ arms as they come around him.

Magnus follows Alexander, long after he could have left. It’s become route, for Alexander to contact him after any battles that have casualties, so Magnus doesn’t accidentally hear down the pipeline that a shadowhunter has died and wonder.
As it is, Magnus is rather done with the entirety of the Institute and every single one of them seems to need to ask Alexander a question, right now.
Finally, he’s about to have had enough when Simon shows up. Running his mouth faster than even his feet at vampiric speed will allow.
“Oh, hey you uh. You still have something there—” Simon says, like he’s trying to be discreet while he’s also motioning to Alec’s entire face.
“Yes Simon,” Alexander drawls and it’s so dry that Magnus is surprised Simon hasn’t already wilted. “It’s called my face.”
“No, not that!” Simon says, like Alexander’s face is anything but a priceless treasure, “the uh. You have piercings on your face. Like, they’re stuck there.”
“They’re not stuck.” Alexander tells him, with more patience that Magnus thinks is due, “they’re pierced. It’s why they’re called piercings, Simon. Izzy also has them, is this not something mundanes have?”
Simon blinks, like he’s not sure how to respond and Magnus hides a snort in Alexander’s shoulder, because Alec definitely knows that mundanes also have piercings.
“Right but, why do you have them?”
Alexander sighs, rolls his eyes up and over and then he crosses his arms. “Simon, you can either ask me inane questions you have no need to know the answer to, or you can shut up and get out of my way. Only one of those options is going to go well for you.”
Simon disappears and Alexander’s shadowhunters close in like a wall, ensuring he can’t come back the way he left.
“Alexander, you need to eat—” Magnus cuts in, when yet another hunter tries to take his boy’s attention. Every single hunter in earshot freezes, staring at Magnus with wide, horrified eyes as they turn, like a hive mind and disperse. “What in Edom?” Magnus murmurs and Alexander is chuckling as he comes over and lets his head rest against Magnus’ shoulder.
“Mirai made it clear that you taking care of me like you do, is a priority. She’ll go toe-to-toe with any hunter who interrupts you on the sparring mat, it’s been pretty effective.”
Because Alexander doesn’t have time to defend his relationship the way shadowhunters so often enjoy doing, but he now has a second to rely on and Magnus is going to send her something. A basket of throwing knives and garrotes and polishing ointment perhaps.

Heyo! 24 year old female writer here. I’m eighteen plus so please please please ensure you are before writing to me! Now a little about me, I do work, quick fire would be nice but I can’t always be here. So you may see me post more depending on what ideas I’ve got and what cravings I have. I say this not to be mean but because I do consider myself to be advanced literate, I expect potential partners to be the same! I’m looking for oc (me) x male canon characters from the above movies but I will enclose further fandoms and movies with in the post! I use third and past tense and would be grateful if you do too! Please note I do have dyslexia. I’d love to get some aus going as well as some love triangles. Doubles are welcome! But please note ALL my roleplays are doubles. I will be prioritising those of you who don’t want to double and are happy to play canons. I’m just getting to a point where doubles feel transactional, I’d like to do something for myself where I can :).

It's update time!
Here in the listed fandoms, Good Omens continues to have a strong lead over the boy wizard. K-pop is a solid third, and the previous tie for 4th has been broken, with Teen Wolf once again a few signups ahead of Sherlock … who should watch his back, because MCU is right on his heels, followed by Star Wars and … making a credible bid to climb all the way up into the top 5, Scum Villain's Self-Saving System. Stranger Things and The Untamed round out the top ten.

Challenge time!
I got a challenge. So I found this:
random generator thing.
I typed in the different species we know from canon (tv-show canon for me), and that will randomly assign a species for a character. Like you press go for Magnus, write down result, then press go for Alec, write down result, and so on.
Then, once the species have been assigned to the characters, you need to think up a prompt for them.
My picks will be under the cut.
Magnus: Shadowhunter
Alec: Higher demon/prince of hell
Jace: Seelie
Izzy: Angel
Clary: Werewolf
Simon: Vampire (🤣)
Raphael: Vampire (Are you kidding me?!)
Catarina: Vampire (is this thing broken?)
Ragnor: Mundane
Maia: Mundane
Luke: Warlock (finally got a warlock in the mix)
okay, I will cap it here for now, other characters can be assigned later if need be.
uff. this is surprisingly hard.
Magnus is the only shadowhunter.
Alec as a higher demon has potential, not gonna lie.
Seelie Jace. hmmm.
and Izzy an angel. Then there could still be a sibling relationship between her and alec, actually. Alec is simply a fallen angel. Izzy didn't fall because she still follows the doctrine. though she might fall as the plot progresses.
Clary as a werewolf. Guess that is easy enough. She could be a mundane that had an encounter with a rogue werewolf, and Magnus found/saved her. Not knowing whether or not she will turn, he can't take her to a hospital. If she needed medical attention, he would probably take her to the institute, where they could also monitor if she changes, dies, or remains mundane. after the change, he can get her to the nearest wolf clan and inform them of the rogue that got her.
simon could also start out as a mundane, maybe he was even with clary when she was bitten and Magnus had to take him along as well. as both simon and clary then want to learn more about the shadow world, simon lands himself on the business end of a pair of vamp fangs. (could be Camille)
Raphael and Catarina could have history. Catarina could be leader of the clan! maybe she was the one who turned raphael in a bit to save his life.
Ragnor could be like a mundane university professor who is well versed in obscured knowledge and the history of mysterious stuff. Maybe Magnus is enrolled in one of his classes, because he has discovered that some of the mundane knowledge about all that goes bump in the dark can be surprinsgly helpful
Maia… I don't know yet.
Luke could be the high warlock of the territory.
okay, how to bring higher demon/prince of hell Alec into the mix.
obviously there would have to be some kind of summoning.
or alec himself decided to visit the mundane plain for a bit, because why not?
and maybe he just happens to witness the shadowhunter that is so uniquely dressed for his kind, fighting off demons, or that rogue werewolf, or whatever. and he takes a shine to him.
Or, Clary was supposed to be a shadowhunter (like her canon counterpart), and Luke was the high warlock who blocked her sight/erased her memories, and the werewolf thing just happened. So when the transformation seems to mess with Clary more than it should, because there is a magical block involved (which they don't know at this point), Magnus calls in the high warlock. Luke helps Clary through the transforamtion, but then in order to have the chaotic energies in Clary balance out, they need to get her her memories back. And just like Magnus in canon, Luke had given them to a demon for safekeeping. The demon in question happens to be Alec.

So you may see me post more depending on what ideas I’ve got and what cravings I have. But with my time off you can guarantee I’ll be posting more! Are you in/have you been in other fandoms?
Oh anon, so so many. I am in less than I used to be, but for reference: I started this tumblr... idk how many years ago. I don't want to know how many years ago but I'm pretty sure it's been more than a decade.
I used to be a marvel girlie, a Shadowhunters verse girlie, basically part of any fandom from a book that was popular around 2012-2024. I started watching Teen Wolf because of the pretty gifs on Tumblr (and loved it), I watched Once Upon a Time and Doctor Who and Sherlock (NEVER supernatural though, I refused). I fell in love with TV shows and movies in an instant and it was so so fun.
Nowadays though, I'm not as involved in fandom as I used to be. Or well, I wasnt until Young Royals came along. Like I still love the Hunger Games and Taylor Swift but I'm not really *in* that fandom; the only other fandom I am still active in is Percy Jackson (that's where my url is also from). and those are probably the fandoms I'll never ever leave lol

we talked so much malec long distance and then in person and they've always been so supportive.
they're why i actually started writing again recently, because they've been super encouraging about me trying to start again. they listen to my ramblings about different malec universes and beta my fics when they have the spoons and make my tumblr pretty and verse list etcs.
they're really fucking cool and an amazing writer and they do a lot for me (my anxiety almost didn't let me do prompts at all and they're why i started).

Hi, I'm insomniac_coffeebean, I write fanfiction, and I'm complealty open to suggestions, I will warn you. I write a little slow, but I'll notify you whenever it's finished, if you wanna look at som of my writing before you decide if you want me to write somthing for you then you can check me out on ao3 as insomniac_coffeebean.
But, I'll write in the Batman Fandom (spisifically the batfam) Shadowhunters and daredevil(tv).
You can literally ask for anything. The worst that could happen is that i might say no.
So, as far as guidelines go, here are the dont's:
I will NOT write anything involving the pairing of family members, whether they're adopted family or biological, I won't write anything involving Role reversal/ reverse verse, a/b/o, modern setting/ human, age play, high school or collage Au, foot fetish, scat, anything that focuses on clary frey or her struggles (this is a hate clary fairchild page, fuck that red headed bitch)water sports. (Other things to be added)
I WILL totally do smut, as long as it's consensual, I'll totally do cannon divergence, soulmate AU really any AU as long as they're still whatever that are in cannon, for instance in the shadowhunter Fandom, Alec is a shadowhunter and Magnus is a warlock, in whatever AU they will still have any powers that they do in cannon.
