Alina and Mal

Look I’m only in chapter five of the second book, but I read the spoilers.. and I am Stunned!

Why is Mal- Why is he end game? I love a best friend to lovers troupe. but I’ve seen seasons 1-2 and I just don’t see it!

I honestly don’t remember much of the first book. it’s a short book. but it took me over a year to read it. with months in between so it’s basically a blur. so I don’t Remember Mal’s personality but I have that he’s VERY different in the tv show vs the books. that they made the TV version more “likable” which- if that the case. WOW!

Mal’s personality in the show is fine. he knows all the right things to say. he just seems so Flat. especially compared to the Prince (I’m not going to compare him to the Darkling because it wouldn’t be fair!)

But Mal was so Bland. no flavor oatmeal. and their “chemistry doesn’t even come close to comparing the Prince Or the Darkling.

Alina’s and the Darkling chemistry is amazing and it’s compelling to watch. and draws you in.

Alina’s and the Prince’s chemistry is so comforting and it feels more like they have known each other for years and they are best friends to lovers vs dashing Prince sweeping in amazed at her.

Alina and Mals? at First, i figured Look it be hard to compare them when Alina and the Darkling were amazing. but then the Prince showed up and that argument was eliminated!

Look if you’re going to have your lead choose away from the charming evil villain you have to make the other guy appealing. and Mal is just Meh. he’s not awful but he’s Not at all great. and I don’t see Why she would give up the Prince or the darkling for him. Is their relationship better in the books?

Do they have more chemistry in the books? Did they do Mal an injustice? Cause Im trying to wrap my head around How She Ends up with him! when the Prince and the darkling are RIGHT THERE!

Shadow and bone season 2 was… weird kinda? Like not the worst adaptation out there (pjo) but the crows bits especially felt so rushed.

Just a little bit of development on kaz’s touch issues before the bathroom scene could have gone a long way i think

I just watched Season 2 of Shadow and Bones ( with alot of skipping ) and honestly? Love. ( I've never seen the books so i really have no hate. )

I really like that Alina has.. shadow summoning? Like, I don't know how that works but honestly, if the Darkling was still alive, i would pay so much gold just to see Alina kill him with his own shadow cut.

And ofcourse, i wanna see her powers combined, shadow and light. Because that would be astronomical, the people who give jurda to Grisha need death.

I just want Alina to be morally grey, have light and dark powers- ( not be queen, cause to be honest? I love my girlies with alot of power, but not too much power, being queen would've fucked her up. ) And laughing at the corpses of evil people.

Or take the manageable step, and make her realize she's growing out of control and needs to be stopped via sword. So she hires her friends to kill her or suicide ( whichever works ) so there wouldn't be a second fold.
