Is anyone else crying thinking about how physically affectionate Inej is able to be Jesper? Inej has this horrible trauma, and explicitly said that contact with others is difficult, and yet there are so many instances in the book of her hugging Jesper, of him hooking his arm through hers, of her getting on her tiptoes and kissing him in the cheek.

That she feels safe enough around him to be so casually affectionate- shows not only her incredible emotional strength- but also the amount of trust, and of love, she must have in him.

With Jesper, Inej feels safe. With Jesper, Inej is allowed to be light and fun and just a little bit silly, acting like the teenager she should be.

I love these two so much :)

I'm sorry but the way Jesper waited to start crying until Inej left??? He's always the "comic relief", always making jokes (even during hard times). It's so beautiful- and sad- how Jesper knew that Inej would turn back. She would stay for her family if she saw him crying or breaking down. That hit home so hard. I absolutely love the friendship between Inej and Jesper and the show doesn't do a good job of showing it, or any of the other crow friendships either. I mean, Six of Crows is popular for many reasons, but one of the major ones is the found family trope.

And Kit Young and Amita Suman! ❤️ Just a moment of appreciation for them. The portrayal of their characters is so raw and real to their book selves, like I swear, I nearly cried during that deleted scene. Absolutely beautiful, but please give us the spinoff 🥺. We need more moments like this, times that show us how interconnected the Crows are as a family.

Oh my heart! I have so many feelings about these tiny two minutes!

How we see Wesper struggling with putting his relationship with Ketterdam (his family, his father) into words, how Jesper uses his powers quite off-handedly (but isn’t quite happy with the result yet - but he’s practising and that makes me very proud), how it’s a bit awkward and shy when the offer to move in together isn’t made obvious (and how uncertain Jesper suddenly is) but then how happy and cute and in love they are. My heart is full. Thank you, Kit and Jack. <3

(And also: Jesper got a new haircut?)
