fyi now that my initial feral manic episode over ttpd has cleared im going to be pretty scarce on posting again likely. I don’t know how I forgot it in the first place, but just being on here again a few days has helped me remember why I tried taking a break in the first place. The negativity and doomscrolling really isn’t worth it. The anxiety I get when im stuck on here long periods of time isn’t worth it. love you guys, but im going to step back a bit <3

I know god forbid we expect people to listen to Taylor when she speaks but people criticising ttpd for not being a curated pruned piece of work just haven’t listened to her when she says this album was a means of survival for her this isn’t the perfectly crafted easily digestible twelve to fifteen songs on a singular theme that we’ve seen before this is everything she needs to say in all its rambling poetic dramatic glory and it’s not made to be a general public approved commercial success (it’s going to make her money regardless) it’s made to be the art that saved her shared with the world and most importantly her fans who (hopefully) understand her

thinking about 2014 taylor working on 1989 and polishing herself and her story up to be palatable and relatable vs. 2024 putting out a record that absolutely lays her entire self bare and dissects her in front of the entire world

Unpopular opinion probably, but Chloe or Sam or Sophia or Marcus is one of my favorite tracks from the whole album. It’s like the 1 but in the trenches. Like still being in the midst of heartbreak while wondering what could have been and having these revelations about someone who claimed to love you so deeply. Not wistful retrospect like in the 1, just a desperation for closure.
