Maeve’s eyes slowly fluttered open, and she blinked slowly, momentarily confused as she took in her surroundings before recognizing she must have fallen asleep on the couch. There was a small puddle of drool on her hand that laid on Otis’ chest, her body heavy and warm pressed up against his.

They’d just gotten back from Moordale earlier that afternoon, after spending just over a week there for the holidays. It was as if time slowed down while they were away, a harsh juxtaposition to how time felt here, where she’d blink and entire weeks would pass. Here, it felt like there weren’t enough minutes in the day, that she’d give and give and give, until she was exhausted, aching fingers and a sore back, climbing into bed just to do it again the following day. Old habits die hard and all.

Here, it felt like she was torn between letting work consume her; a wildfire with no end in sight, or slowing down, melting into this new chapter with Otis, letting herself be cared for in a way she’d never had before. She shivered at the thought, hating that part of her that couldn’t just fully let go. Hating that she already knew, but didn’t want to admit, she had dreams spread under his feet now too; terrified he wouldn’t tread lightly enough.

He shifted slightly at the movement and she propped her head up on his chest, looking up at his face, tracing a finger over his jaw. She loved him so much it felt like her heart was crawling its way out of her chest, trying to get closer to him. Why couldn’t she just be better at fucking showing it?

Unable to resist the urge, she wiggled further up his body, kissing the skin where her fingers had just been. Gradually, his eyes flickered open, his blue eyes meeting hers, and time felt like it stopped for a split second, his face relaxing with recognition, and she wondered if they’d search and find themselves like this in every lifetime.

She’d like to think they would.

She thinks lots of things and then nothing at all, when he smiled at her, his eyes softening and crinkling in the corners.

“Hi.”

Her own lips quirked upwards. “Hi.”

“Were you watching me sleep or something?” he asked through heavy eyelids.

“No,” she shook her head. Maybe. She knew the way she was looking at him probably told a different story, but she couldn’t help herself.

He raised his eyebrows in question, or disbelief, or some combination of the two. “Writing poetry in your head about me?”

She breathed a laugh. “Something about the bright incipience of love, still promising to solve, and satisfy, and set unchangeably in order.”

Otis looked thoughtful for a moment before he said, “that’s definitely not you. Far too optimistic.”

“Phillip Larkin. It’s actually kind of a sad poem, you know.”

Content: Sex education! Mentions of vaginas, penis’s, orgasms, the clitoris, warning of abuse in power dynamics, and sex education resources across a variety of platforms.

Just a few notes for the folks reading all the smutty fanfiction and especially those who don’t have much experience with “smut” in real life!

That’s totally okay! There’s no need to feel badly or embarrassed if you don’t have a lot of sexual experience, everyone moves at their own pace :)

Similarly, it’s okay if you haven’t experienced the kind of intimacy that’s portrayed in fanfiction (most of us haven’t, that’s why we write about it lol)

Consent is sexy! There are multiple ways to incorporate ‘dirty talk’ that includes asking for consent and checking in with your partner. “Does that feel good baby?” “Is it okay if I touch right here?” “Would you like it if I did x, y, z?” “You like it when I do that?” “Tell me what you want me to do, I want to make you feel good” etc etc etc!

A lot of fanfiction includes people with vagina’s cumming from penetration alone, while this is nice to think about of course, it rarely happens in real life. The large majority of people with vaginas cannot and will not come from dick penetration alone (around 80% of people with vaginas cannot do this). This is because of the nature of the shape of the penis and the shape of the vagina. While everyone’s genitals are unique, the overall shape means that a penis will likely not meet the angle required to hit your g-spot. Now, there is such a thing as extended orgasms (and you may experience this from dick penetration alone), but the big firework sudden rush of orgasm we usually think about probably won’t happen from just a penis inside you. And that’s normal! Don’t feel like you’re missing out!

It is much more likely to cum from finger penetration. This is because of the way fingers can curve to reach the g-spot. Also, clitoral stimulation is often key to an orgasm.

Some fanfiction references the penis hitting the cervix, in real life this is actually usually quite painful (at least in my experience and according to my gynecologist). If you have ever had sex and felt a sudden pang of pain from a thrust, it is likely because the penis has hit your cervix. The cervix and g-spot are not the same. Repeated hitting against the cervix may actually give you a stomach ache after sex.

Sex is awkward sometimes! That’s okay! It can take time to learn what your partner enjoys and also especially learn what you enjoy. If you feel comfortable, it is a good idea and it is fun to experiment with yourself on your own to discover what you like and don’t like.

Cumming inside is nice an all, but condoms are also cool :) They make for easy clean up and significantly reduce the risk of pregnancy and STDs!

In fanfiction, there is often this theme of partners being able to just kind of read each others minds and provide the other with mind blowing sex and orgasm without even needing to communicate about it. This may be true if you have had sex with a partner many times, but the journey to this level of intimacy is communication and may be awkward sometimes, that’s normal!

Power dynamics portrayed in fanfiction may not be appropriate in real life. If a superior is eliciting sexual acts from you it may very well be abuse and you should notify a trusted adult.

Some educational resources I suggest to understand and learn about sexual intimacy and figure out how you can receive pleasure, give pleasure, and overall where you stand within this nuanced world of sexuality, pleasure, and orgasms: the book Come as You Are by Emily Nagoski, the Netflix educational documentary series Sex, Explained narrated by Janelle Monae, @itsmillyevans on Instagram (highly highly recommend her!!), and plannedparenthood.org has a ton of educational resources (they do not just cater towards abortion, they are a great sexual health resource)

hi!

i haven’t done this in a LOOOONG time. i used to write on here under the url imaginesxyou when i was like 13, but i miss writing and shipping and general tumblr shitposting so bad. i figured i’d do a little introduction to let you guys get to know me, and i’ve put my fandom list here too so you guys know what stuff i might write for!!

so i’m jackie. i’m 20 years old and based in the uk. i’m queer and genderfluid (any pronouns) so i’m happy to write any lgbtq+ requests you guys have. i’m an apprentice travel agent at the moment, and a lot of my time is eaten up by work. however i’ll try and pop on here and answer some of your requests when i can!! my hobbies generally include writing, watching tv and movies, and singing! i sing at my local open mic night and i really love it. i listen to all kinds of music, but i perform strictly 60’s music at the moment. i’m hoping to branch out into 70s and 80s stuff too when i have time. i’m also autistic and my hyperfixations can change quite often, so i’ll likely close some fandoms on my list depending on what i’m fixated on at the time. I’ll also probably add stuff on too as time goes on!

i’ll be writing little drabbles and self inserts (i’m a sucker for all that y/n shit), but also ships! this was a big thing that i did back in the day and the people seemed to love it. you guys probably don’t need it but here’s a quick rundown on how to request!
