Nobody seems to be talking much about what Kel's been through over the course of the game events. It's like he's trying to be the happy person but repressing his own negative emotions in the first place. Everyone thinks he moves on quickly but he really just forced himself to 'accept it' which is not healthy at all.

Hero having his parents' favoritism during the argument is a piece of evidence on how Kel developed this coping mechanism as well.
