It really is strange how Edelstans simultaneously dig hard into people that don't agree with their specific interpretation of 3H to the point of being happy they manage to drive those people away... and be so upset and baffled that people become generally disinterested/actively hostile towards 3H content.
If folks get repeatedly driven out of a fandom, and that group of people repeatedly calls anyone who disagrees with their specific interpretation of 3H stupid/illiterate/"acting in bad faith"/sexist/racist/homophobic/etc., and it is repeatedly done by a group of people who insist that 3H's fandom problem is a "both sides" thing, with all of this being dragged into spaces that have nothing to do with 3H, well... obviously people are then going to start to dislike interacting with either 3H in general or its fandom in particular?
Edelstans are the ones spreading the idea that 3H's fandom in totality is shit. They keep trying to make their hands look cleaner than they are by claiming that everyone else's hands are just dirty as/even dirtier than theirs. Of course people who are unaware of everything are going to then assume that everyone's hands are dirty, thus making people not exactly want to shake hands with anyone.
Like, really now. What did they think was going to happen when they directly go after fanartists/fanfic writers who create/say things that go against the Approved Edelstan Status Quo, to the point that a non-zero amount of these creators just up and leave social media entirely? Or after they nitpick every single Disapproved Post and then lie about the post's OP? Or after it becomes a consistent pattern that people who even remotely disagree with Edelstans' opinions are always, without fail, buried with insulting and harassing anons? Or after they're shown time and time again to defend their worst actors with "well their/our victims deserved it because they said a 3H opinion we didn't agree with"? Or when they say that everyone does this shit in 3H's fandom except for them (which is either not believed because it's demonstrably untrue or is actually believed and now those people think the overwhelming majority of 3H's fandom is filled with shit)? Or when they drag 3H discourse into literally actually everything no matter how unrelated?
That with less fandom creators within the fandom space they'd get more content? That harassing and insulting people and accusing them of being this-and-that bigot is going to magically "correct" their minds into seeing The One Truth about 3H? That people are going to just look over all the shit they did just because they allocate the blame of their action on all of 3H's fandom? That people would like 3H more if they constantly remind people of the inarguable worst thing to come from 3H? That this would help 3H's general perception?
Fuckin' no, of course that's just going to make everyone fuck off from 3H. And would you look at that, a shit ton of people have fucked off from 3H since everything has been swept under a "well it'sth a bolth thides ithue tho what can ya do?" rug. And it's been swept under that rug by pretty much the only people who are pulling this shit, who then get shocked - utterly gobsmacked! - that that made them look bad too. That crying "both sides!" included themselves too and not just the people they've been harassing. That saying that the entire fandom is bad everywhere made the entire fandom look bad everywhere.
If Edelstans are really so upset that no one talks about 3H positively anymore, then maybe they should stop being the reason no one likes 3H anymore. Just a thought

I’m relatively new to interacting in fandom (former lurker for years) so I’m not sure if this is new or not. But yeah, the mess of the fandom is wild and what gets me is how everything becomes a morality argument. If you dislike a character or crop a photo that doesn’t include a character, suddenly it’s hate against the actor or some kind of phobia. Sometimes people just dislike characters and plot lines and that’s okay? And the arguments are such a reach to get there. I recently saw a serious take that Buddie shippers were racist bc that ship is making POC dance to their whims or something. (There are reaches on all sides, that’s just the one I remember vividly).
It’s not all morals and ethics; it’s tv sometimes.

This blog is entirely dedicated to content about Hellenic Polytheism. This is the term you'll see me use most often, but I use several different tags for my content about it.
I am 30. A Polytheistic Humanist. In love with humanity and nature. I find the art within sensual and sexual intimacy. I live for the intimacy of all of the arts. Seeking to give shelter and kind words in a way I hope will honor Zeus. In this space, you can call me Jack.
It should go without saying. Be a decent person. No sexists, transphobes, racists, ableists, homophobes, etc. This space is for honoring Gods and the people who worship them. Everyone else, either behave or get the block button.
I am still ironing out the tags I use for individual deities, but it is always safer to assume that the content I generate is not in reference to fandom material.
A little about me:
I am a bi/pan transguy. No bioessentialism. Bioessentialism is a very limited worldview and has no practical uses other than being exclusionary.
I am a writer, and a lot of my content centers around adult themes. I write about the sensual and sexual side of my practice very often, and I'm sure at some point, I will elaborate on why. This is not the sole content of my blog, but it is a common theme.
I also write a lot of general encouragement posts. I'd like to provide the content I wish I had seen back when I first began my practice.
My asks are always open. Don't worry if you have a question, but are afraid you will sound stupid or new. Everyone starts somewhere, and any conversation started in good faith will always, always be welcome.
I do not consider myself a reconstructionist. If this bothers you, you may not enjoy a lot of my content. I approach the Gods through the reference frame of my modern life. While a great deal of my practice is similar to many reconstructionists I know, I find a few key distinctions in the rigidity of practice that don't resonate as deeply with me. These differences will make themselves visible in some of my posts.
I am disabled. I don't talk about it much on here, except content related to the Gods and how that facet of my life interacts with my practice.
My posts are not limited to just Dionysus, Hermes, and Apollo. I love, respect, and worship all the Gods.

i'm new to radblr but i've always been a radfem, and with my main blog, through my dash and mutuals i kept seeing anti-radfem bullshit even before i decided to create this side blog. i've been on tumblr for a very short time actually. and i already am astounded by how ignorant people are when it comes to radical feminism.
they literally know nothing about it. they don't know what radical feminists are fighting for. i know this isn’t new for all of you radfems who have been there for way longer than me, but damn, i am just amazed. i wonder where they get their "knowledge" about radical feminism from.
one of the things that made me decide to create this blog and to start interracting with radical feminists was this long thread i saw some weeks ago about how radfems hate gender non conforming women and butch lesbians, because they do not "perform femininity the way you want all women to" (paraphrased). the whole thing was a gender non conforming woman saying that she wasn't traditionally feminine at all, that most trans women were way more feminine than she was, and using it as a "gotcha". like "look, am i not a woman for you since i am masculine?? and these very feminine trans women, they perform womanhood as you think all women should so why don't you like it?". the comments and reblogs were all like "haha radfems are so stupid! they claim to protect women but hate women who don't fit their little cases of femininity!" "i am masculine so i guess i am not a woman for these radfems lol"
some months ago another person told me that they didn't like radfems because radfems believed in traditional gender roles for men and women, and thought that these gender roles should keep existing as they existed for centuries, because it was the natural, normal way for men and women to live - women as tradwives, in the kitchen, taking care of children, etc.
these two things are literally...the opposite of what radical feminists believe. it is so shocking that people actually believe that. being against gender roles is one of the most important parts of radical feminism.
i can't even count how many times i've seen people saying stuff like "radfems HATE women, they hate women so much" "radfems hate women who don't perform womanhood as they want all women to" "radfems hate gender non conforming women and butch lesbians" "radfems hate every woman who doesn't fit their little box of what a woman is" "radical feminism is a racist ideology" "radical feminism is homophobic and lesbophobic" "radical feminists reduce women to their genitalia and their ability to have children" "radical feminism rely on capitalism" and what not. a long list of things people say about radical feminism that are totally wrong. i've seen it so many times.
so many times, actually, that although i've been a radical feminist all my life, i didn't even know i was one. everything i've read on radical feminism - books, articles, blogs - didn't mention "radical" feminism, just "feminism". when i arrived on tumblr, i had the exact same ideas and beliefs radical feminists have (with some differences that are gone now, since i changed my mind about some things), but radical feminists were painted as terrible, horrible women who wanted trans people dead, hated sex workers, butch lesbians, and gender non conforming women (and gender non conforming people in general), thought women in porn were sl*ts, were very racist, and wanted to keep sexist gender roles and stereotypes as they were. they were painted as nazis, fascists, conservatives. they were painted as one of the biggest hate groups of the modern world (oh, and let's not forget the "they are oppressive and horrible to men too!!!!"). and i thought, i am not like that. what is this terrible group of terrible women who dare to call themselves feminists ?
i would have made my own research since the beginning if i had known, but i'm not really into online discourse. i am not very often online at all actually. i didn't care. at that time i was here just for my fandoms - i kept feminism and social justice for books and irl conversations. everything i was seeing about radical feminism ended up on my dash because someone i followed had reblogged it, or came up in the conversation on a fandom discord server because someone else had started to talk about it. it was all accidental, i've never tried to learn more about it, because i wasn't into online activism.
until i started to realize that no one seemed to say the same thing about radical feminism. nothing was coherent. everyone was saying something different about what radfems believed and were fighting for, about what radical feminism was. someone would say, "radfems hate gender non conforming women so much it's crazy" and then someone else would be like "radfems are just butch lesbians who hate feminine women" (though the first one is more popular). and a lot of other things like that. everyone was contradicting each other. they all seemed to agree on hating radfems, but didn't even seem to know why, since everyone had a different idea of what radical feminism was. it was incredible actually. i started to do my own research, and it became so obvious that a huge part of people criticizing radical feminism had no idea of what it really was and were totally ignorant.
i noticed something else : during debates, while radfems were well spoken and had arguments (logical arguments, well said, that didn't rely on insults and personal attacks against the other person/people), the people they were debating with didn't. many of them didn't have any real arguments, and just kept repeating the same things over and over again even after radfems had gave good arguments debunking these things - things that were probably not the other person's own ideas, but just something they had learned before from the classic discourse and kept repeating because it is the "right" opinion to have. on top of that lack of arguments contrasting with the well written radfems' arguments, there was the violence. "shut up" "eat shit and die" "go fuck yourself" "kill yourself". it seemed like people's arguments relied mainly on insulting radfems and telling them horrible things - while radfems weren't doing the same thing. i guess some radfems do insult people who disagree with them, and are into bullying, but i personally haven't seen it a lot of times at all, while it very, very often happens on the other side. i'd say it always ends up this way, with the other people insulting the radfems and telling them to kill themselves or shit like that.
so i went like, okay. no one seems to know what radical feminism is. everyone says something different. from what i've seen, radical feminists are coherent. they have real arguments, are well spoken, while other people like liberal feminists hating them and arguing with them very often don't, and keep insulting them instead of having a proper debate and giving good, well built and smart arguments. radical feminism must be misunderstood. let's do some research.
i checked some radical feminists' blogs. realized that i was right, that radical feminism was totally misunderstood, that people hated it often without even knowing what it was about or without understanding it. that the way people described radfems - as terrible and evil, violent bigots full of hate - was very far from the truth.
that i actually was a radical feminist, that all the ideas i've had for years were radfem ideas.
reading these blogs made me feel really good, they made me realize that i wasn't alone with all these thoughts (i felt alone for a long time) and that many wonderful women agreed with me. i also learned a lot of things, and learned about many amazing books and women. it helped me a lot and even made me feel stronger and more confident.
i couldn't start talking about radical feminism, and joining radblr with my main blog, because i knew it would create dramas with my mutuals, that i would get insulted, and all the usual shit. that's why i created this side blog, to be free to join radblr, to talk with radfems, to post/reblog radfem stuff. i hesitated a bit because i know there's probably gonna be some dramas but i don't care. i'm glad to be here.
anyway at first it was supposed to be a very short post about how many people know nothing about radical feminism but huh i started to talk a lot, sorry for invading the tags with this haha. and sorry for my english.

Maybe it's just me but opinions can't just be neutral anymore.
When I was a kid I had like- a fav YouTuber and if someone told me that they didn't like them I *had* to defend them and tell them they're wrong. I jokingly did that. Most of the time at least. But looking back that's just so dumb and kid logic.
But that literally is how people treat opinions
People will seethe and rage at something you share, could be the most mundane opinions "I prefer cake over pie" and they will go *nuts* and spend their time proving how wrong you are or reminding you how brain dead you are
Hell, you could see someone share a similar opinion to you but when *you* share it you get deaths threats and are thrown some of the wildest accusations.
Maybe telling people to kys or claiming they are sexist, racist, homophobic, etc. Over a mundane opinion of theirs is.. kinda overkill?
Idk I like sharing my thoughts, but I'm not here to debate. And I think that's where people forget..

I could watch a movie review and disagree with a lot of it but I'll just.. disagree with them and move on? Like I can discuss in terms of sharing my thoughts and jokingly say "no your wrong" but I don't want to debate on "who has the right opinion" because that's just a losing battle.
I want to clarify I'm referring to harmless opinions. I'm not talking politics or anything topical.
Idk I love when people share their thoughts, I like it when they get passionate or creative, even if I disagree I don't want to tell them they're stupid or invalid or ffs accuse them of being something and telling them to kys. Jesus. I think people putting their passion into attacking someone over an opinion is the actual braindead way of using your energy. But that's just me.
This is nothing more than a ramble, I just wanted to share an opinion.. on opinions ayye haha
but at the end of the day, I'm happy knowing I don't dwell on someone's personal taste in food, music, media, etc. Cause it's their life, not mine. And long as they aren't hurting anyone or sharing harmful things. I could care less and continue vibing ✌️

i know nothing about peakboy or park hyunsik but yeah. i won't be surprised if they turn out to be problematic too.
i don't hold tae accountable for the shit his bigoted friends say or support, but him being friends with them is still enough for me to be sure that their twisted views & opinions don't affect him directly or personally and thus he can live with it. almost everyone of us has horrible friends that we don't always agree with, but it's impossible staying friends with people who hate what you are. a poc won't befriend a racist, a woman won't befriend a sexist/misogynist, a queer person won't befriend a homophobe, etc.

Thank you for your input. I’m not quite going to agree with you on this, and I kinda hate it because I’m by no means a supporter of misogynistic men and their behavior. But, I feel these things should be looked at in context.

Park Seo-Joon said those things in an interview from 2014. That’s a long way back and hopefully he has learned from the controversy it caused. But also, he was talking about himself, what he wants in a relationship. To me this is by no means an indication of him not accepting a friend’s relationship with a man. He doesn’t want it for himself, and he has real conservative ideas about what he wants in a woman, but it doesn’t say anything about his believes on queer people.

Yeah, churches are tough. I’m gonna be honest, I don’t know what to completely make of this.. because it’s still vague. If indeed the church is homophobic than he is very wrong for standing by their teachings. His words though communicate that it is a normal church, we don’t know what normal is to him but from all the criticism he got it’s clear that what he wants to communicate is that his church is not what people say it is. I cannot deduce from this if the church is actually homophobic and I can also not deduce from this that Park Bogum is homophobic. I don’t tend to automatically believe screenshots from random Twitter accounts because twitter usually sensationalizes stuff like this.

Very insensitive, very stupid even, but it’s not an indication of him being homophobic (and that’s of relevance here, not misogyny).
While you point out misogyny, that doesn’t directly point to Tae’s friends not accepting him as a queer person. I honestly see this so many times in my surroundings (and I live in a progressive country) where men will expect their women to take on a traditional role, yet they’d be fine having one of their friends having a same sexe relationship. People have different standards when it comes to their own lives.
So are Tae’s friends stupid and ignorant maybe? sure could be… but these things to me aren’t proof of them being unable to accept one of their best friends being in a queer relationship. It’s also so little evidence. Did they have to get used to it? Probably. Do they love Tae? Most likely. Will they accept him for who he is even though they wouldn’t choose that live for themselves, I think they would.

If you say Andrew Tate isn't a raging misogynist because he ONCE called women "the precious gift in the world," you deserve to rot in the belly of the earth along with him. Calling women "precious" is infantilzing, and it's especially insulting when Tate makes most of his money manipulating young women into dating him, only to push them into camgirl work and takes most of the money. The whole "most precious gift blah blah blah..." comes with the caveat that you're only precious if you shut up and obey your "man" and have all his babies.
Other things Andrew Tate has said or implied include but not limited to:
Calling women status symbols, in other words objects
Implying physical abuse to get your woman to listen to you
Various instances of slut shaming
Claiming a woman's worth is only in her looks
Claiming that a man shouldn't have to take responsibility and take on the role of father if he has children with a woman (me thinks Tate's daddy issues doth protest too much)
Tried to fight with Greta Thurnberg for no reason except show off how many ridiculous cars he has despite that Greta and a lot of other women just don't care about something so stupid
Calling adult women girls, bitches, hoes, etc.
Saying that he won't date women under 20, ie older women have more life experience so they'll be able to see through his bullshit
Xenophobia, racism, transphobia, homophobia
Manipulating women into dating him under false pretenses of genuine affection and coercing them into cam work where he gains all the money
If you stand with Andrew Tate, even if you're a woman, you have no self respect. You're a guy who's been suckered in by his false sense of security, I hope you spend the rest of your life never knowing what real love and affection feels like from whoever you're attracted to. I can goddamn guarantee that straight women don't act as Andrew Tate or any "alpha male" thinks they do nor do they care about his extensive car collection bought with the money he exploited from others. I hope Andrew Tate sits and rots in prison for a very long time, and when he gets out, he's an old, irrelevant man with no way to make money and stays broke till the day they put him in the ground. We don't need more men like Andrew Tate running around and flapping his mouth, trying to send us back to the 1930's. Racist, sexist, ableist, homophobes, fatphobes, transphobes, etc. Any bigotry. I just wanna write stupid fan-fics, not deal with...that.
Those people who will do anything, such as drawing underage characters sexually, proships, makes fiction about a character raping the reader or vice versa (which I have seen before, scary), etc. etc. but say that just because it's fiction mean's its okay. It's still weird, in my opinion, and, again, I don't want it on my blog. Things like yandere or whatever is fine, cause that's not all that bad- I just don't want the "extremes" of dark fiction or whatever it's called.
Women/fem aligned can interact, even though it's strictly male and gender neutral, but please be respectful since it’s work not created for you! thank you! (however, I might ask differently for mlm fics, for obvious reasons.)
Obviously there's nothing I can do to stop anyone from interacting anyway, but yeah.
