“Haha, talk ‘bout a nyestery!” Sasara couldn’t help but laugh once he had received the news. Who would have thought that something like this was even possible to begin with? Nor would anyone even suspect it. Sure, even he had noticed during the battle at first yet he was under the impression that there was some nasty ruffian hiding somewhere around and planning to stomp anyone into the ground on sight. But a cute, little cat being able to rap like crazy? Now that is something impressive yet also funny on its own, an unbelievable story! The great O is a tiny, little cat who looked like he could do no one any harm. And an old one too, given his rather pointy ears. And yet, this cat was the one responsible for all the chaos happening in Osaka lately. But hey, at least he knew how to keep things interesting. Never ever would Sasara expect to meet such a little fella, packing a punch on top of that. Truly an old yet experienced man! Yes, this would make for some great reference material for sure!

And yet, this cat was just staring at the duo with his wide eyes, tail swaying from side to side, at least a little, as if impressed. ‘To think that I would be found out, good job’ or something like that. It may as well have been what he was saying.

“Ya had us fooled too buddy. Impressive!” Sasara couldn’t help himself but ‘respond’, making this cat wag his ears a few times, then nodding as if saying ‘Thanks’.

“Impressive? You know what this cat did, don’t you?”

“Calm down, he’s got some rhymes. Any second longer and he would’ve probably made me look old instead!”

One could spot the little fella sit down, yet with a bit of a puffed chest. He was certainly proud of his achievement there. Yeah, he for sure deserves all the applause he can get for that one!

Rosho only sighed, shaking his head at this. “Hah, that aside… Where did he even come from?” He then added this question, staring at O all the same. It was there where his ears went up for a moment, as if remembering something. Before knowing it he pulled something out of his own fur, at this point it was best not to question this cat to be completely honest, and put down a piece of paper right in front of them. It was some handwriting, though rather messy and barely readable. Did he write that? What was this cat’s deal? Then again, not like Sasara was complaining. This one… He had come across a few cats but this one in particular obviously knows more than he makes others believe. That alone made this little yet old fella special, somewhat interesting even… It was rather fascinating!

As for what the paper said… It had a name written on it, sloppy katakana but readable nonetheless. ‘Ole’ was it? Yeah, that was probably it. He had a name so this was a cat who belonged to someone. Then again, he wasn’t in a messy state so that could have been an easy guess. There was even an address and… A number?

“Wh… What is—”

“Does your owner know you’re here?” Sasara interrupted Rosho rather quickly, not wanting to worry about the questions, or rather the ‘how’ or ‘why’. It was best to just accept it. They’ve seen it all today after all.

Ole nodded at the question however before shoving the piece of paper a little more forward with one of his paws and eyeing the two yet again.

“Hm? Wait, you want to give this to us?”

The cat nodded again, tail wagging eagerly.

“Hold on, there’s got to be an expla—”

“Haha, ok! Ya got it! Happy to stay in touch with you!”

“A… Are you kidding me? Sasara, you’re not—”

“Actually, let me give you our contact information too! May as well!”

“You’re accepting this a little too quickly!”

Well, yes but the other truth was… Who was he to deny a cat? Besides, if they stick around Ole a little longer things could become more interesting. It was a gut feeling but then again… With a cat like this Sasara was more than pawsitive!

Kai's Thoughts on Toyama Division

Asato Rikiya

"Sorry, but you'll have to ask my wife about this young man. I've only met him once, and that's cause my wife introduced me to him and his family. The only thing I know about him is that his family owns a huge farm in Toyama that grows a lot of produce. That's partly why I know him cause Mireya buys all of our family's produce directly from him, or rather, his grandmother. He seems rather... aloof, or rather he doesn't show much expression on his face. He stated he tries not to show much expression cause people always say he looks scary when he does."

"...We kinda have that in common, to be honest. People say I always look unapproachable cause of the scowl on my face, but I'm not trying to be. That's just my normal facial expression. I've tried to get better at controlling it, though..."

Yano Ietsuna

"I know this young man the most out of the team, mainly cause he saved me from pissing Mireya off. ...I guess I should expound on that. Basically, it was our 8th year wedding anniversary, and I promised I'd have a gift ready for her on that day. But... I got so caught up in a new song I was trying to create and perfect that I lost track of the time. The days just flew by without me realizing it. So before I knew it, I only had two days left to find her the perfect gift. I asked around and people recommended a glass shop called, "Glassara Glass Studio" in Toyama run by a man and his nephew. I was skeptical, but I went anyway."

"Surprisingly enough, Yano did a real good job on the figurine I asked him to make. Admittedly, I didn't give him clear instructions, but he did good for making it under a time limit. Mireya absolutely loved it. I paid him and told him if he was ever in Roppongi to come to Gypsy's Palace, where I'd get him access to the VIP room. I haven't seen him yet, but I'll be on the lookout when he does. He deserves it for everything he's done."

Kensaku Morimoto

"...You all remember what I told you about my 'lack of humor' when I spoke about Sasara, right? Well, it pertains to all forms of humor, including puns. I met this guy while I was in Toyama that one time visiting with Asato and his grandmother. I stopped by the local pharmacy just to get something to drink. The weather in Toyama is too humid and mild for my tastes. Anyway, this guy was working the register and... I don't know what it was about me, maybe the expression on my face or something, but he just started telling me jokes left and right as he was ringing me up."

"I didn't know what to say, so I just thanked him for the drink, paid and left. I haven't seen him since. Later, I found out from Zakari that he's friends with Jakurai, which is a shock. I didn't think Jakurai was the kind of guy who liked jokes, or associated himself with people who tell them. The more you know, I guess."

ECO BooN

"Toyama is a place in Japan known for its agriculture. So, I suppose having a farmer, a glassmaker, and a guy who deals in pharmaceutical research makes a bit of sense. I don't know how they'd sound 'music-wise', but... I have to admit, I'm kind of looking forward to what they sound like. It could give me some ideas."

Samatoki Aohitsugi is so Underrated

Tw // canon-typical mentions of abuse & suicide based on Samatoki’s backstory.

Tonight before the bed I’m thinking about Samatoki Aohitsugi. I want more flashbacks on Samatoki’s backstory. “Mom killed dad and suicided” he says in a breath in his songs as if that’s easy. “Abusive alcoholic father figure” he says.

No, no, please get deeper.

I want to know more of you. Your family. Your household. How was your family house like? Do you still live in the same place the incident happened? Did you change apartments after Nemu left? Do you cook for yourself even when your sister is not around (in the present timeline, after you sort of processed the initial shock)? Do you shower in the morning or before the bed (or both)? What’s your favorite brand of drinks and cigarettes? How did you cope with such a huge trauma? How could you process loss of your mother, your father and then somehow your sister and then Sasara and then Ichiro— I don’t even mean SasaSama or SamaIchi in a specific ship way for this context. It can be romantic or platonic but what matters is that they were once Samatoki’s best friends and partners and he trusted them with his heart and invited them to his house and cooked for them and he even was starting to gradually prepare himself for Ichiro and Nemu potentially getting together. He trusted Ichiro that much and then, although neither Sasara, Nemu or Ichiro “betrayed” him, Samatoki was betrayed in his own perspective and there was no way of him finding out that they were hypnotsized.

In the end, Samatoki lost his mother, his father (we know that he despises his father and his father was abusive but in the end it was a person he lived with and it must have some sort of impact on him too), his sister, and two of his best friends. It sounds like a nightmare. Samatoki is a family-person and so am I. My family and best friends and partner are my priorities in life (along with myself and my career, but that’s irrelevant). Samatoki lost all of them in such a short time interval.

Honestly…

How on the earth is Samatoki still functioning?

How could he ever trust Jyuto and Rio? How could he ever eat food offered by a random dude living in woods and even after he knew what the food was made of, he always accepted the offer because he doesn’t want to make Rio sad?? That he is just nice and considerate about a grown ass man’s feelings like that??? He still has the feelings of responsibility and respect to face Jyuto and apologize for losing DRB???

Not only that but he still more or less tries his best to process the fact that Ramuda was somewhat responsible for half of his losses and he still tries to forgive Ramuda?? He tries, at least puts effort, to “forget about it because I’d do same to protect my sister” thing with Ichiro???? And he acknowledges that even after the hypnosis effect is gone, Nemu wants to stay in Chuuoku even at the cost of her fighting against Samatoki for that and HE FUCKING ACCEPTS HER DECISION AND RESPECTS HER AND CHERISHES HER???????

This guy lost his mother, his father, his sister HIS BEST FRIENDS T W I C E, his life got played over by his abusive father AND THEN FUCKING GOVERNMENT ITSELF, and he became a yakuza to deal with all that BUT HE STILL PROTECTS THE BULLIED IN YOKOHAMA, LOVES THE DUMPLINGS OF A WHOLESOME GRANDMOTHER, EATS RIO’S QUESTIONABLE FOOD JUST TO MAKE HIM HAPPY AND OVERALL DOES HIS BEST TO DEAL WITH HIS ANGER ISSUES AND TRIES TO FORGIVE PEOPLE FOR WHAT THEY DID??? EVEN THOUGH HE HAS SO MUCH TRAUMA??? SO MUCH ANGER ISSUES???? HE HAS EVERY RIGHT TO BE VERY BITTER BUT HE DOES HIS BEST NOT TO BECOME SOMEONE LIKE THAT???? AND WHEN HE SLIPS UP HE APOLOGIZES???

Honestly, barring Sasara and Yngwie, who do already have families... I'd say the muses who would want a family one day is Ryuto (actually canon), Rana, Galdo, Herja, and Fiorito while the ones who would be scared of that amount of responsibility would definitely be Kensuke and Fang.

Kakeru, in particular, wouldn't exactly be scared, per say, but would feel a great deal of guilt about actually moving on and starting a family of his own, especially when his younger brother is no longer around to experience all that life has to offer. Like, he does not think he deserves to be happy when Mitsuru never got the chance to live past the age of 15, let alone experience love, so thinking about how he'd never get to meet his own children would make him quite melancholic for a while, but he would surprisingly adapt to parenthood quite well (even if his kids do tend to tucker him out).

Meanwhile, Kobato can take it or leave it, meaning while a family would be nice, it's not exactly a deal breaker for him if his girl doesn't want kids; in fact, I could see him being content, just being the cool uncle his friends' kids would flock to. But he doesn't have a very strong opinion about it overall and will defer to what his girlfriend/wife wants out of their relationship... but I can see him being the fun-loving dad who is surprisingly responsible.

As for Gin... I don't think the idea of a family ever even occurred to him? Like, he had been busy, grappling with work and other personal issues, that starting a family never once crossed his mind, but I imagine he would prefer going the adoption route to avoid the gender dysphoria that would come about with him actually conceiving. Rather than a father, though, he would be more like a 'best friend' to his kids but is the chill, mellow parent that would still be reliable enough to have around. He'd also be observant enough to pick up on a lot of his kids' habits/eccentricities and manage to foster a close relationship with them, to the point where they would probably come to him more than they would come to their mother.

just smile and nod and let him pick the cake flavor

despite all his craziness though, Sasara is your rock throughout the wedding planning and will always remind you that it should be a fun, joyful event and not something you stress out over

at the actual wedding, Sasara’s jaw practically drops when he sees you in wedding attire and his eyes will open wide

he’s going to be staring at you shamelessly practically the whole ceremony and will definitely miss any parts he was supposed to speak/do something

he won’t care though because you’re the only thing he cares about

at the reception, Sasara is going to want to make a speech along with numerous toasts

he’s going to have the audience roaring with laughter and aweing at every adorable anecdote he tells about your relationship

Sasara will only take one (1) brief moment to say something serious about how much he loves and cares for you, and when he does, almost everyone will have a tear in their eye because it’s rare to see him so heartfelt and enamoured

directly after that though, he’s going to grab your hand and do your first dance to some crazy, outlandish song

the reception is big and loud and fun and over the top, but Sasara is sure that you never leave his gaze, always wanting to be around you and spend time dancing and having fun with you

he has an eye for decorations too so he’s more than happy to put together anything you want to make your wedding perfect

he’s also really good at making flower bouquets and he’s extremely patient when running through the seating chart with you

he’s your unofficial ‘scary dog privilege’ and whenever the caterers are taking too long to respond, you set Rosho on them so he can snap at them to hurry up because your wedding is of the the utmost importance

if you ever get nervous, Rosho is there to be rational and help you to calm down

Rosho is incredibly excited to marry you and he’s all smiles throughout the actual ceremony

unbeknownst to you though, he had a lot of nerves beforehand and actually needed a pep talk from Sasara and Rei so as to not run away from the alter

not because he didn’t want to marry you, but because he was so unsure of himself and because he didn’t know if you deserved him

but of course, he gets his head straight and is over the moon to be marrying you

Rosho definitely tears up a little bit when he sees you in your wedding attire, and he’s constantly giving you little nudges and smiles throughout the ceremony

at the reception, he’s gonna thank everyone, but he’ll be too nervous to get up on stage in front of everyone and say things about you, so he’ll leave that up to his best man, Sasara

which he definitely regrets because Sasara just makes a bunch of jokes and pokes fun at him

Rosho spends the night with his arm wrapped around you, not wanting to let you go because he loves you so much and he’s so happy that you’re finally his life partner

he’s a little nervous for the first dance, but you take his hand in your own and the two of you go through it together

which is a pretty good description of how your marriage is going to be - throughout everything, the two of you will work through it together

Rei has been married before, so he kind of knows what it should feel like, but nothing can prepare him for the unexpected nerves and excitement he feels at the prospect of marrying you

the wedding is small, just a handful of your closest friends and family because neither of you want to make it a big event

it’s intimate though and you’re surprised at how seriously Rei takes the event because you’re usually so used to him making jokes or light of situations

he helps you with any of the planning and spares no expense, wanting your wedding to be perfect and telling you that you can buy anything and everything you want

he pretty much makes your dream wedding come to life with whatever details, decorations, or implements you want

at the actual wedding ceremony, you’re surprised by how quiet and stoic Rei is, and he’s going to be quite emotional

he knows he hasn’t done all the right things in the past, and he’s determined to make it up to you and be the best husband he can be

so when he vows to be a loving, trusting, caring husband to you, he really does mean it and it shakes you even more when you see him tear up a little bit behind his glasses

he definitely adores you in your wedding attire, but no amount of serious thoughts can stop this man from imagining you that night when he gets to take your attire off

during the reception, Rei drinks to celebrates and encourages others to do the same, starting the party off strong

despite how small the venue and guest list are, the party is roaring and everyone is having the time of their lives

the food and deserts are all going to be lavish and fresh and of the highest caliber, something Rei will make sure of

the two of you might have your own speeches, or you might just make a small one together, thanking everyone for coming

Rei is more focused on you than anything else throughout the night, wanting to make sure that you’re comfortable and not feeling overwhelmed

at some point he pulls you away from the crowd to kiss your head and quietly whisper that you’ve made him the happiest man in the world that night

and that he can’t wait to start the journey of being your husband with you

Ichiro

months have passed since the last time ichiro saw you back at chuohku, and he still had a heavy heart each and every time he thought about what had happened

as much as he hated your decision, as much as it hurt him, at the end of the day, it was what you had chosen (even if it didn’t seem like you were you in the moment), and ichiro couldn’t do much about that

he thought that he had moved on after months of pondering and healing. ichiro had foolishly thought that if you were to show up at his doorstep the very next day, after having disappeared and lost contact with him, then all those old feelings wouldn’t resurface

but he was dead wrong

when he found you at odd jobs yamada, avoiding his gaze as to hide the fact that you were quite nervous about this confrontation, ichiro was shocked to say the least

all the love he held for you, the emotions that he thought he had buried and gotten rid of, came back in a split second

he felt an urge to run up to and embrace you, thankful that you were safe and seemingly better. the blank and emotionless stare that was pretty unnerving had left your eyes, all the emotion and humanity returning to them

yet, at the same time, ichiro was hesitant to approach you

the last time he did so, he had gotten hurt, and quite frankly, ichiro wasn’t sure if he would be able to deal with that all over again

plus, you had betrayed him, and that was something he couldn’t find it in himself to forgive. once trust was broken, it was difficult to rebuild

however, the moment you apologized and explained everything, from the hypnosis to the hostility, ichiro threw that thinking all away and immediately forgave you

honestly, he couldn’t help but feel guilty for thinking that you, of all people, would leave him. the two of you deeply loved and cared for one another, of course it wouldn’t be so easy for you to simply up and leave or even like you to act so cold

ichiro is so overwhelmed about, well, everything. not only were his emotions getting the best of him-from his feelings of guilt and anger at what had happened to you to those of relief and love for seeing you again-but the sudden info dump was simply too much

and with everything piling up and with finally getting to embrace you once more, the two of you, needless to say, began to tear up a bit

for the next few months or so, he may be a bit overprotective though he wouldn’t necessarily realize it unless you point it out. ichiro simply didn’t want such an incident to happen again

after all that happened, ichiro was relieved that you were finally by his side again

Samatoki

even after you had left, he never gave up on looking for you and trying to bring you back, no matter how difficult or impossible it seemed to be at times

he refused to believe that you had left him. surely there must’ve been some sort of outside influence, especially since he didn’t like the dead look that he saw

everything was pointing to the fact that you were being controlled, but he really had no way of knowing that concretely

samatoki knew that it was going to be difficult to find you now that you worked for chuohku, but well, life wasn’t fair so it was to be expected

he certainly didn’t think it’d be that easy, however, not expecting it when you showed up to his hideout out of the blue one day, looking the same as before save for the blank gaze

when samatoki saw you standing in the doorway to his room, too nervous to step in or say a word considering what had just happened, he didn’t hesitate to rush to you and immediately embrace you, taking in your scent and warmth

even if this was nothing more than a dream, samatoki didn’t care in the slightest. for now, you were here, right in front of him, and he’d relish in your touch before you were gone again

honestly, he doesn’t even really care for your explanation right in that instant, simply more than content with the fact that you were finally in his arms again

and for a few moments or so, he didn’t let you talk. all that mattered was that you were back, and if this did turn out to be a dream, then samatoki wanted to take in your scent and warmth before you were gone

of course, you did eventually explain everything to him, from how you got hypnotized to how you were ordered to leave him, though towards the end you couldn’t help but omit a few tiny details given how he looked like he was about to burst with anger

seeing you standing in front of him, safe and very much alive, samatoki felt relieved and happy, overwhelmingly so. there was no longer that tense atmosphere around you that he had felt beforehand, and this time, he could tell that it was you that was standing in front of him now

but he also felt rage, at both himself and chuohku

at chuohku for, well, hypnotizing you as well as separating you both, but also at himself for being so weak and incompetent

seriously, how could samatoki live with himself knowing that he hadn’t been able to save both you and nemu. you had to break out of the hypnosis by yourself and find him again, not the other way around

regardless, for now, samatoki wouldn’t let you go

definitely got quite overprotective for a while after, practically never leaving your side, even if you were simply going out for a few small chores

he had already lost you once, and he certainly wasn’t about to go through it again

you knew that he had good intentions, and you were thankful that he did care, but it did get a bit much at times

needless to say, however, you were happy to have reunited with him, and so was he

Sasara

the entire thing had hit him pretty hard to say the least

i can see sasara begin to ruminate and perhaps even blame himself on not noticing how you were beginning to feel about the your guys’ relationship

it seemed like no matter what he did, sasara was simply not good at people and anything pertaining to relationships; and that realization hurt him to say the least. not only had he lost the person that he loved with all his heart, but now he was all alone

even though he moved on, sasara still longed for your presence. he often found himself wishing that you did, in fact, come back one day, and you guys would resume your relationship as if nothing ever happened

he had no idea that he was not only a comedian, but also some sort of genie (he kids, but it’s strange that he got his wish not even a few days after the fact)

a knock on the door during the late afternoon could’ve meant anything, but he certainly wasn’t expecting to see you, though it was a pleasant surprise nonetheless

he’s quick to open the door and accept you in, despite the fact that you had left without a trace a few months prior. sasara was sure that you had your reasons, even if they didn’t make much sense to him right then and there

he still held a lot of love for you, so as long as you did apologize and explain why you did it, then sasara thought that he’d be able to forgive you

at first, sasara stays quiet, not really knowing what to say in such a strange turn of events. sure he’s thought of this scenario hundreds, if not thousands, of times before, but now that it was reality, he pretty much froze up

breaking the awkward tension between you two, you apologized for everything that happened, explaining how you were hypnotized by chuohku one day and had no choice but to comply

and with that explanation, sasara began to connect the dots as to why you had acted so strangely back then and why you seemed much more distant and emotionless. you hadn’t been in control of your actions, and as such, it wasn’t actually you that had left him

honestly, he does feel a bit guilty for not realizing it sooner and for thinking that you actually did feel that way, but sasara brushes that feeling off for now and simply embraces you

right now, all that mattered was the fact that you had returned safe and sound, no longer hypnotized and under the control of someone else

of course, he couldn’t help but get angry at chuohku for having done such a thing, but sasara also knew that there wasn’t much he could do about that aspect of it all. they were simply much stronger and larger than sasara, so it’d be a waste of energy to go after them

instead, it’d be much better if he focused on you and only you right now, wanting to try his best to comfort and calm you down. you were no doubt a bit shaken up by what had occurred, and he was the only one that could make you feel better right in this moment

for the next few weeks or so, you’ll find sasara to be a bit more clingy than usual, always texting you and asking if you were alright or needed anything

the entire incident made him realize that he really wasn’t that perceptive of others and how they felt, so sasara wanted you to feel nothing but the utmost comfort and joy. he wanted to show you simply how much he loved and valued you

his efforts were really sweet to say the least, and you were happy to finally be back

Domestic Life Series: Tsutsujimori Rosho

Who kisses the other on the nose and the one receiving the kiss blushes?

Rosho is not at all used to being shown such a soft form of love and he almost doesn’t know what to do when you kiss his nose, sputtering out a few things that don’t quite sound like real words and gripping the counter like he might faint. When you giggle at him he retaliates by kissing back, pressing against the side of your nose and pulling away, looking triumphant for only a few moments before he realizes he’s still the one feeling the most embarrassed. At least your laugh was cute as he knew he’d be hearing it daily from now on, never living down how surprised he was every time you kissed him.

Who sits on their partners lap as they wrap their arms around their partners neck?

If you catch Rosho while he’s grading papers and totally in the zone he won’t even notice you placed yourself on his lap, acting like it’s the most natural thing in the world as he maneuvers into a position that’s comfortable for you both. One arm is supporting your back as his dominant hand continues to grade, eyes raking over at least ten papers before he realizes exactly what happened. He only gets flustered when he realizes what’s going on but then lets out a defeated sigh, knowing he could live with you sitting on his lap and that he didn’t actually mind you being there as you weren’t getting in the way of his work (and you were ridiculously warm).

Who kisses the inside of their partner’s palm before reassuring them everything is going to be okay?

It’s hard to calm Rosho down before he has to speak in front of a large crowd but you’ve almost cracked the code, able to at least soothe some of his nerves (though he’s still a complete stuttering mess he at least walks into the room with confidence). He watches with fascination as you take his hand, wondering if you were about to pull some sort of ‘I can read the lines on your hand!’ trick on him before you’re suddenly kissing him. The tips of his ears are red as can be and he mumbles out a quiet ‘thank you’ before pulling away, saying it again a bit louder as he truly is thankful for all that you did for him.

Who initiates the forehead touch?

You do, and it helps Rosho get used to being close to you. He always feels bumbling and awkward in romantic situations as he’s entirely unused to it, drifting closer makes him feel like he’s invading your personal space and the last thing he wants to do is make you uncomfortable. When you’re the one who pushes your way into his personal bubble, slowly, carefully, with a soft smile as he gives you consent to come as close as you possibly want. You confirm that this is what you want, that you want him more than anything, that you don’t mind if he wants to come dip in for a quick kiss, even if he just wants to be close, he should feel free to do so.

Where do they first say “I love you”?

Inside your apartment Rosho said he had something to confess but it hadn’t been a love confession, not at first anyway. It was a confession that he had almost given up on you, that he had almost allowed his self-doubt to ruin another good thing in his life, that he hadn’t wanted to ever break up with you but he had been teetering on the edge. He had decided far before the date that he wasn’t going to run with some yelling from Sasara to back up the fact he was overthinking things again, that he couldn’t keep running when things got hard or he’d never have anything good. He figures you must hate him now knowing that he was a coward, that he was so close to ruining a relationship that had taken a long time to properly build up. He mumbled that he loves you, that he loves you more than he ever could’ve guessed he would, and that even if you want to turn him away he’d understand but you surprise him once again by coming closer rather than pushing him away.

Who wraps their arms around their partner who’s cooking?

Rosho always feels himself drawn into the kitchen when you’re cooking, the heavenly smells beckoning him closer and closer until he’s directly behind you. He doesn’t like to interrupt you but he’ll try to peer around your shoulder to catch a glimpse of what you’re making, sometimes falling directly into you (but you’re generally prepared to catch him so you don’t fall into the stove). You tease him about trying to be secretly nosy as he didn’t exactly have much skill in the stealth department, saying you’d be happy to inform him of what you’re making or, even better, he could be your taste tester.

Who breaks out the first aid kit when the other gets a paper cut?

You and Rosho take adequate care of each other but he tends to be slightly clumsier than you, not happening very often but often enough that you keep the first aid kit well stocked in your house. When Rosho tries to cook for you is when most potentially catastrophic things tend to happen and he quietly lets you take care of him, watching each move and wincing as you clean the knife wound carefully. You like to playfully ask if he needs a kiss as the last magic touch to make it better but he’s normally pouty after being treated like a child who had been running around with scissors, telling you he’d like to get back to dinner with a huff before going to do so.

Who cuddles up to the other?

Rosho’s arms are VERY inviting and it’s nearly impossible to turn down the offer to fit yourself inside them, head resting on his chest and trying to keep your laughter inside as you can hear his heart start to beat faster. He tells you if you’re just going to mess with him to get back to your side of the bed but he makes no move to push you there, instead closing his eyes and getting even more comfortable now that you’re cuddled up beside him. He can’t handle cuddling in the hotter weather but in the winter cold nights he can’t go a single day without putting his cold feet on you to warm himself up.

Who falls asleep on who? What is their reaction when the other falls asleep on them?

You’ve fallen asleep on Rosho more than once before and he never seems to mind it, careful not to move too abruptly so he doesn’t wake you; he knows he’s done this to you before and that you’ve only woken him up to guide him to bed but he can’t find the heart to shake you from your slumber. He tries not to stare too much but it’s the only time he can watch you without you being a relentless tease about it, brushing hair from your face and memorizing every one of your features before you finally woke up.

Who likes to be held and who likes to hold?

Rosho likes doing both but he much prefers to do the holding, it reminds him of how hard he worked to get there and how privileged he was to get to hold you in his arms. The same could be said for being held but he liked to be the one holding you as you always seemed to be the one coddling him and he knew you deserved someone to make you feel that way, too. He can get carried away with planting kisses all over your face wherever he can reach but he won’t catch you complaining.

Hey slug, thanks for the hard work you and your team do for the fandom!! me and some friends were discussing this and i thought it would be nice to see ur answer to this (only if it doesn't bother u, of course!!): what characters do you think parents would give a big thumbs up if you introduced them as your partner (in terms of personality and traits)? I personally think Hifumi or Ichiro would be the best son-in-law...

What an entertaining question. Believe it or not, I’ve given the matter some thought before for reasons entirely unrelated to this, so presenting: Hypnosis Microphone Men and Whether or Not You Should Bring Them Home to Your Parents.

Since there’s a wide age range among the cast members, assume that the “you” in question is roughly each character’s age.

Ichirou: Absolutely. This man is objectively a dream boat. Runs his own successful business? Check. Respectful to people of all ages? Check. Cooks? Check. Cleans? Check. Good with kids? Check. Take Ichirou and marry him before your parents marry him themselves.

Jirou: As far as high school boyfriends go, Jirou’s not a bad choice. He’s a sweetheart, popular, plays music. Doesn’t do drugs in the school bathroom. Could have better grades, but hey, you can’t win them all. He seems like he’d have you home by 8 pm. You know what? Sure. Why not? You could do worse.

Saburou: Saburou is the kind of middle school boyfriend that your parents openly like and privately dislike. What I mean is that he’s very polite to most elders and super smart, so he’s the kind of kid who is entirely unobjectionable, but he’s also the kind of kid who would try to mansplain your parents’ jobs to them. Worst of all, he would be entirely correct in what he’s saying. Your parents probably want to punch him, but they don’t because assaulting children is illegal, not to mention immoral. They will breathe a collective sigh of relief when he finally breaks up with you so he can focus on studying for the Science Bowl nationals.

Samatoki: I am so torn on this one. On the one hand, he’s every parent’s worst nightmare. He smokes indoors, has an awful temper, and is a fucking gangster, for pete’s sake. Yet he can also be a sweetheart who cooks for you and does everything to treat you right. I’m really stumped. Probably the best solution, if you’re really wanting to get in on that Aohitsugi ass, is to cut out the middle man and date Nemu instead. She is perfect in every way, so your parents will love her.

Juuto: If your parents watch Antiques Roadshow, then he will have a lot to bond with them about. Otherwise I think he’d be that kind of person who tells stories about himself way too loudly at family dinners, and after he leaves, one of your parents pulls you aside to say, “Your boyfriend’s really kind of an asshole, don’t you think?” I guess date him if you’re okay with your parents thinking you have cruddy taste.

Riou: I feel like the hard part here is luring him out of the woods and into a family dinner, but from there, it should go great. He’s over 6 feet tall. He can cook well. He has a strong sense of purpose and knows what he wants to do in life. Most importantly, he has a wonderful heart AND every survival skill known to man. He will change the oil in your parents’ car, fix the leaky pipe you’ve been meaning to get around to for six months now, clean the hood above the stove, and then swap recipes and heartfelt compliments with whichever parent does the cooking. Who cares if he doesn’t have a stable income? You don’t need that with guns like those. (insert flexing Riou image here)

Ramuda: I’m trying to think about the concept of a) dating Ramuda and b) introducing him to a set of parents, and I’m drawing an utter blank. There is nothing but “???” in my mind. I’m going to hazard a guess that this one would be a terrible idea.

Gentarou: Wow, your parents had no idea you were dating a prince of a tiny little kingdom in the Mediterranean AND a Harvard law graduate AND the winner of the Nobel Peace Prize AND the man who discovered a cure for cancer in an expedition deep into the heart of the Amazon rain forest. Look at you! What a catch. Only attempt this if your parents are gullible.

Dice: As much as I love Dice to death, this one is a no. Your parents do not want you dating a homeless man with a gambling addiction and bad table manners. Plus, the MIL here seems hard to get along with. Nuh-uh.

Jakurai: Absolutely. You’re in your 30s, so your parents are at least middle-aged. Probably they have some joint problems or some back pain. Jakurai can let them kiss that pain goodbye, and in return, they can let him kiss you! A win-win. He also boasts a handsome salary, has a lovely house, and seems like he’d be super respectful in a relationship. Yes. Go. Marry him.

Hifumi: If you’re a girl, you’re probably going to have to sit this round out. If you’re a guy or nonbinary... yeah, you’re probably going to have to sit this round out too. See, if you have a mom, how is Hifumi supposed to meet her? I guess you could... idk... stick a lampshade on her head and expect him not to notice. That could potentially work, but it’d raise a few awkward questions. If you do happen to live in a female-free household, though, you’ve hit upon the golden opportunity to make this man yours. You can replace every instance of the word “wife” in Judy Brady Syfer’s famous essay “I Want a Wife” with the word “Hifumi” and still have it make perfect sense, and it shows.

Doppo: I can’t in good conscience recommend this one. Sure, he’s hardworking and certainly polite enough, but does he have the time to respond to your emotional needs? Hell, does he have the time to respond to his own? If you invited him to family dinner, there’s a good chance that he’d need to work overtime and miss it. He’d apologize and buy you flowers to make up for it, but you know he’d also be worrying about the cost of those flowers, so... is it really worth it?

Kuukou: For some reason, my parents actually like Kuukou (although I think he’s also the only character they know besides Ichijiku), but I don’t think this would hold true for most parents. He sounds good on paper, but he’d probably make a disparaging comment about someone’s ass in the first five minutes. Perhaps if you tape his mouth shut and tell your parents he’s doing a vow of silence, then yes.

Juushi: As far as high school (is he still in high school?) boyfriends go, Juushi’s not that bad either. He’s shy but sweet. Respectful. In a band, but the kind that makes money and doesn’t operate out of someone’s garage. Yeah, you know what? Go for it. You could do worse. Just scroll up on this list if you need proof of that.

Hitoya: Yeah, absolutely. Hitoya has a great career and a fantastic attitude. He doesn’t take shit from anyone but can still be polite in the correct contexts. He also seems like the type who would get into a serious relationship and treat his partner right. Fuck it up. I support your love.

Sasara: Yes. He has the exact type of humor favored by parents of the father variety. Plus, he’s a famous comedian. There is good money to be had right there.

Roshou: Absolutely. Rather shy but very talented, hardworking teacher who obviously puts his heart and soul into his job? Of course. As long as he doesn’t death glare your parents, it will work out fantastically. Plus, he can talk about sports! That’s a thing that parents like, right?

Rei: Absolutely not. You remember last May when your parents answered a call from the IRS telling them they were about to lose all their money unless they gave the nice man on the phone their bank account password right at that very instant? He was the nice man on the phone. Why the hell would you bring this threat into your parents’ home? Look, you’re in your mid-40s. Your parents are getting up in years, and they want to see you settle down and be happy with someone. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this is not it. Why are you with Rei in the first place? Is it the fur coat? Listen, you are a grown-ass adult, and you can buy yourself as many fur coats as you want. I believe in you. It doesn’t have to be this way - you deserve better.

SAMATOKI

He’s a yakuza, and a lieutenant and that. There’s no telling how much blood is on his hands [1]. It is a part of his job to get rid of his boss’ problems as well as his own, so it’s very likely that he’s killed people before.

Samatoki is conscious of this. He’s well aware of how many lives could’ve been torn apart by him - those people have families too. But it’s not his problem when life is not fair. In the same way, he’s accepted that one day he may be killed in this line of work.

He can kill without any emotion. He’s used to it by now, even handing off work to his underlings. But the only time his hands will throb with true bloodlust is for those who would dare to hurt Nemu. There’s nothing in this world that he wouldn’t do for her, even if she were to be horrified by it. [2]

SASARA

This one is a wild card. If you asked him if he’d kill, Sasara would say “DEFINITELY NOT!” Sasara wants to believe that he’s ‘good enough’ not to hurt people anymore, but he did turn a blind eye during the MCD days when Samatoki had to deal with people.

Sometime Sasara blames himself. If he didn’t help out Samatoki during those days, maybe some might have lived - though he doesn’t really think about what those people actually did to deserve death. In a way, he sometimes thinks that he’s responsible for their deaths too.

If put in a situation where it’s him or a stranger, he’d save himself. To act in self-defence is the only way Sasara would ever have intent to take someone’s life away. Even then, he would still feel guilt for having to commit an act of murder, calling it that despite his circumstances.

ICHIRO

There is no doubt that Ichiro would do anything for his brothers. He’s ruined people’s lives through debt collection in Stairway to Heaven, and if luck struck out for them, Ichiro would do it all again so that his brothers could have a good life.

To kill is a last resort. Everyone deserves a chance at life, and he wants to do what he can to prolong it. If he didn’t know his own strength in a fight, he would do all that he could to help someone, so long as they didn’t hurt others.

However, he knows the situation of the world around him. He’s seen how adults around him all have baggage on their hands from bad things, so if there ever came a day he had to kill someone for his brothers, he would find some way to convince himself that it was justified.

KUKO

There is nothing in the world that would make him consciously choose to kill someone. No matter how rough a man he is, at the core of him are his Buddhist values in the preciousness of one’s life. For him to kill would mean inflicting a wound on someone else’s family that would never heal for the rest of their lives. It’s not his place to ever do such a thing. [3]

Kuko is a fighter. He’ll fight to protect himself and others who need him, but to kill someone is the last thing on his mind. He will do everything in his power to protect a life, but he can never guarantee that his actions won’t harm another.

He swears to himself that he will never kill, that it’s nothing a man should ever think about. However, the reality is that if he ever did, he’d want to face the highest punishment he could. Out of all things he can think of in the world, it truly is one of the greatest sins to take a life.

[1] - Samatoki says this in the second verse of Gangsta’s Paradise.

[2] - We see in Chapter 7 of The Dirty Dawg manga that Samatoki kicked the unconscious bodies of Gencho and Mozuku while Nemu watched, even restraining his anger when Ichiro stopped him.

[3] - Kuko’s views on suicide from DHBAT chapter 4 were that “you would deal a wound on your family that wouldn’t heal for the rest of their lives”, so naturally I thought of a similar view when it comes to killing in general.

Ichiro Yamada

"I know Ichiro. The guy's a good man. Truthfully, I can see a lot of myself in him. Both of us didn't really have parents in our lives, so we had to make our own way. Maybe the next time he's in Aoyama, I'll invite him to eat at my restaurant. The guy deserves it after everything he's done for his division and younger brothers."

Samatoki Aohitsugi

*Takes a puff of his cigarette* "Samatoki... yeah, I know him, as well, though I really wish I didn't. This guy has a serious attitude problem. I don't know if it's cause he has to prove himself to his Yakuza members or what, but he always seems to be in a foul mood. He really needs to calm down and stop blaming others for his shortcomings."

Ramuda Amemura

"Don't tell either of them I said this, but this guy reminds me of my teammates. None of them refuse to act their age. But besides that, I see a lot of his clothes here in Aoyama. Unfortunately, none of them are my size." *Shrugs*

"Other than that, I don't really have anything negative about Ramuda. But... I don't know why, but I always seem to be on my guard around him. I don't know why. Every time I walk past him, my defenses instantly go up. It's weird..." *Takes another puff of his cigarette*

Jakurai Jinguji

"Sad as it is to say, Jakurai is the only member of TDD that I haven't really spoken to. I wish I had when I had the chance. No offense to the other members, but Jakurai seems to be the only one who really knows what he's doing. One look at this man can tell you that he's an intelligent person. No surprise that he won the first D.R.B. And don't tell anyone this, but I'd hate to go up against one-on-one in a rap battle..."

Sasara Nurude

"I've never really had a sense of humor, believe it or not. I mean, I laugh at things sometimes, but that's mainly cause I'm remembering something that happened in the past. Anyway, I happen to go to one of Sasara's shows when he came here to Aoyama. I really tried to get into his jokes, but they just seemed to go over my head. I don't know. Maybe my sense of humor is different from everyone else's... or maybe it really is nonexistent..."

Kuko Harai

"When I was younger, my Abuela took me to the countryside to take a tour of some of the temples and the monks that live in them. I have to admit, I was really fascinated at their lifestyle. The focus that each of them had on their faces as they meditated, and went about their duties. Words couldn't do it justice.

"So imagine my disappointment when I found out that a real-live monk was actually a rapper. This guy did not meet my expectations at all. And the fact that he and his team lost against Jakurai's team just deepened my dislike for him." *Sighs and stubs out his cigarette*

De-aged Rei

Rei gets de-aged by an illegal mic.

“Rei? …Rei?!”

It’s… bright. You don’t understand. Just moments ago, you were curled up in the closet again, locked away because you were bad, but now you were outside, along with these two unfamiliar men peering down at you.

You curl into yourself, hugging Sen as tight as you can. You don’t know them, but you really, really hope that they’re not the bad men your father always threatens that he’d sell you to.

“I-is that little kid Rei?!”

They know your name, and that sends chills down your spine. You’re scared. You probably should answer them, but even as you grip Sen even tighter than before, you stay silent.

"Oi, oi, oi, there's no way that little kid is Rei!"

Sasara felt like screaming, or maybe just shaking the little kid that was standing where their third member was standing less than a minute ago. To the side, Rosho is panicking and working himself into a frenzy, not that Sasara could blame him. Why did those weird guys even have an illegal microphone that changed people into little kids?! Or maybe it’s time travel since Sasara was 110% sure that Rei wasn’t wearing a tiny hoodie before.

In front of the duo was a tiny little kid, maybe 5 or 6, Sasara guessed, with a worn out red-and-grey hoodie and hugging the most worn out stuffed toy – a blue cat, he thinks – that Sasara had ever seen. It’s missing a button eye and one of its ears is torn and the stuffing was spilling out.

In fact, if it weren’t for the fact that not only did little Rei look terrified of them, but the scar that Sasara had originally assumed came from the old man messing up or something was also present.

He’s like 5, Sasara thinks to himself, frowning.

Turning to Rosho, the little frown and creased eyebrows tells Sasara that he’s thinking the same thing. Baby Rei is still scared, but everyone likes jokes, right?

“Heya, kiddo,” he grins, “want to hear something funny?”

Rei stares back solemnly.

“Why did the picture go to jail?”

Silence.

“Because he was framed! Get it?”

In the background, Sasara swore he could hear the crickets chirping and Rosho facepal– wait, Rosho actually was facepalming, the meanie!

Rei hasn’t moved an inch, and ouch, tough crowd. Okay, so maybe jokes weren’t the best idea.

“There’s something wrong with his head, I swear,” Rosho is kneeling down in front of tiny Rei, pushing Sasara away, which fair enough, “do you know where you are?”

For a good minute, Sasara thought that Rosho would be answered in silence like they’d both been for the last couple of minutes, before a tiny shake of the kid’s head, indicating no, was presented.

“Okay… okay…” Sasara hears Rosho muttering to himself, “I- I’m Rosho and this is Sasara. And you are…?”

Little Rei gives them an odd look, before mumbling something into the plushie.

“Oh. Um. Sorry, could – could you repeat that, we couldn’t hear you.”

“… Don’t you already know my name?”

“Uh, er… I mean, that is…”

Sasara butts in again, covering for a now stuttering Rosho, “We do, but it’s only polite to introduce yourself, y’know!”

“… Rei.”

“Nice t’meetcha, Rei!”

He’s met with a blank stare.

“So, I bet you’re wondering why you’re here! So, uh, your parents left you with us for a while, but I swear they’ll be back soon!”

Sasara could practically hear the skepticism on Rei, but the tiny child doesn’t say anything.

“C’mon,” he mumbles to Rosho, “let’s go to your apartment…”

You don’t understand these two men, Sasara and Rosho. They’re so bad at lying that it’s almost painful.

Sasara says that your parents left you with them, but that’s such a big fat lie. There’s no way that they’d leave you with other people, not when the evidence of their abuse is so obvious. But… they’re nice. They give you food and water and try to coddle you.

You don’t understand what’s going on, not really, but you guess that they’re okay-ish since they haven’t hit you or locked you into a closet or something.

You stay quiet though, because adults are fickle, fickle beings, and you don’t want them to suddenly decide that you’re a bad child that deserves to be punished. You know that they’ve been looking at you weirdly, but you can’t distinguish what those glances mean. You’re usually better than this, but its hard to struggle when Sasara is so weird and nice and Rosho feeds you and lets you sleep on a bed with blankets and pillows.

You sleep well for the first time in ages with Sen curled up by your side while waiting for the other shoe to drop, for nothing is ever freely given, especially not kindness.

Rosho paces back and forth and from the corners of his eyes, he can see that even Sasara has a troubled expression on his face. It was now close to midnight and nearly 10 hours since Rei had been turned into a child.

And what a worrying child he was. If the bruises and handprints hadn’t been enough proof, the way that the 10-year-old (he was 10, apparently, but god, he was so small that he looked 6 or something) flinched or looked warily at them, like an enemy, was more than enough to paint an unpleasant story.

Everything felt so... wrong. Rei was supposed to be a hulking figure, confidence and sleaziness oozing off with every step, not some meek child with solemn eyes.

"So..." He hears Sasara awkwardly start, "Apparently, according to some of my contacts, its supposed to wear off on its own."

Rosho breathes a sigh of relief, "When?"

"Uh, in like a day, but some cases took longer," Sasara pauses, hesitantly adding, "and the old man won't remember anything either."

That's good, in a way, Rosho thinks, but he doubts that Rei would be happy about not knowing what Sasara and Rosho had learned about the man, as secretive as he was.

"I guess we... wait it out then?"

"Not like we have much of a choice," he hears Sasara agreeing, and with how distant his voice sounds, Rosho wondered if Sasara was thinking the same things he was, eyes drawn to the bruises and scar.

You wake up in the morning and for once, your body does not ache from sleeping on the ground nor does your stomach growl in hunger. It's an odd feeling.

Sasara and Rosho are already awake and about by the time you wake up, but they don't yell at you for being lazy. They tell you to sit down a place a plate of food in front of you. You recognize the eggs, but you think the strips oily things are bacon, but you aren't sure.

You do your best to eat as much as possible, but you've never eaten so much in the span of 24 hours in your life. You don't want them to think of you as ungrateful, whether they're your kidnappers or not. You clutch Sen tightly even as Rosho bustles around the apartment and Sasara starts telling what you assume are jokes, but you don't understand most of them.

...You know that you aren't supposed to be here. You heard them talking about microphones and deaging and other weird things that sound like magic last night. You'll probably only be here for another couple hours, a day at most, but you want to savor it. You want hold onto the warmth of Rosho patting your head, human contact that didn't end in pain. You want to hold onto the memory of Sasara's grin when he told jokes that you don't really understand. It's warm. They're warm.

This hopeful dream, you don't want it to end.

Stretching, Rei yawned before pausing.

This... was not his apartment. Actually, wasn't this Rosho's apartment? What was he doing here?

He doesn't remember drinking with the other two division members, so there weren't many possible reasons Rei could think of for why he was here.

"Yo," he greets them in the living room. They're staring at him wide-eyed and... is that pity? The hell?

"R-Rei!"

"Welcome back to the land of the living, old man!"

"Haha, pretty sure I was neither dead nor drunk, you brat."

"Rei," Rosho begins tentatively, "what's the last thing you remember?"

The last thing he remembers, huh... Hmmm... It's fuzzy, but they were in a rap battle, weren't they, Rei thinks, and the opponents had illegal mics with unknown effects. He says as much.

"Yeah, we figured," Rei hears Sasara mutter, but what exactly did that mean? Obviously he was hit by the unknown effect, but from what he could tell, something had happened and no one was fessing up.

"So," Rei leans down, "what exactly happened?"

He looks them in the eye even as they try to look away. None of them were going to leave this conversation without confessing, but if they weren't going to fess up now, Rei was going to make them fess up, and it certainly wasn't going to as nice of an experience as it would be if they confessed now.

"... We, uh," Rosho starts stuttering, doing his best not to maintain eye-contact, "you, uh. Got hit by the illegal microphones..."

"Yeah, I figured, sensei," Rei replies impatiently. Geez, what were they skirting around the topic for?

"Yougotturnedintoatenyearold."

Rei stills and turns towards Sasara. "Repeat that for me one more time, except actually comprehensible. I'm an old man y'know, these ears of mine aren't working as well as they used to."

"You... got turned into a little kid, like you were ten and had this cutest little plushie that you said was called Sen and you were super small and-"

Sasara is rambling, but only static silence filled Rei's ears. Fuck. Fuckfuckfuck. Amayado Rei did not do vulnerability. Amayado Rei was a man with confidence, money, and strength. He was not small child who's only knew pain and misery, who equated himself as a useless existence. Amayado Rei was not that child.

"Okay, hold up," he holds his hands up to distract Sasara, to distract himself, "So you're saying that somehow I, as a 10-year-old, showed up with a toy I haven't seen in over thirty years, and was just chilling here for a bit?"

"For like a day, yeah."

Rei ignores the pitying and questioning stares from Rosho, ignores the questions that are on the tip of Sasara's tongue. He doesn't ask what happened, doesn't ask what they saw. After all, once Dotsuitare Honpo played its part in Tohoten's games, he would vanish. There was no point for attachments, even as he ignored the aching in his chest, ignored the fondness that was undoubtedly growing.

"Whelp, I've got places to be, things to do, and money to make," he grins at them, "Y'know how things are. Thanks for watching over little me, but I don't think he's going to show up again."

He walks out of the apartment even with Rosho stuttering and yelling at him, even with Sasara's suspicious stares, and oh boy, Rei really hoped he wasn't going to be nosy about this.

Amayado Rei would live his life with his head held high and unafraid for the future, unafraid of the consequences of his actions, and no one could tell him otherwise, not even the regrets that piled high at his feet or a trio of siblings that despised him.

He would survive.

2. First impressions of the characters? Who stuck out the most?

YESS THIS ONE IS FUN OKAY SO

Ramuda and saburo were the ones that stuck out the most for me!! I thought they were cute and liked the way they sang. Plus I was in love with Ramuda’s design👁👁

For each character (SOME OF THESE ARE THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE OF WHAT I THINK NOW LOL😭😭):

Ichiro: dont really remember what I thought of him :(

Jiro: he’s kinda ugly…. (LMAO I WAS SO WRONG FORGIVE ME JIRO ILY)

Saburo: ohhh he’s so cute! His voice is nice

Samatoki: he’s pale. Looks scary ngl😥 love his voice though

Jyuto: looks like he has a high pitched voice (I was right lol). Why does he make that weird face a lot

Rio: *Whats my name instrumental plays* yeah ok he’s cool

Hifumi: oh he’s the one who made fun of gentaro’s clothes…😐😑 (again, I was stupid. This man deserves everything and I love him)

Doppo: okay but his voice>>>> UFUFJEBD yeah. I see why people relate to him. But. He’s cool

Kuko: hmmm he’s okay I guess… I don’t really know what to think of him😓😭 (I started reading the tdd manga a few weeks later AND I WAS IN LOVE WITH KUKO)

heres my 7th live thoughts. basically all of the 1st day thoughts were written during a rewatch while 2nd day thoughts were written live. the purpose of this post was originally for me not to post like 5 pages of liveblogging but thats what it ended up becoming anyways. theres as lot under here

- overall i realized "yeah most of these seiyuus fit their chara so well" i look at basically all of them and go "yeah mhm thats them" with the exception of kimusuba because he sucks and ichiro deserves better

- there were rainbow stairs durjng black journey!!! during gentaros part in the second verse i remember they mightve been there more though

- i felt kinda underwhelmed by showdown at first but its growing on me i think its a nice song and it does feel very fitting for the finals of the 2nd battle ALSO i lost my shit when ramuda used gentaro and dices names in his part

- i am pure shit at reading japanese so i have to rely on pasting it into google translate in order to read kanji a lot but i am willing to tough it out and translate showdown from the images people have of the lyrics online because theres a lot going on here that i want to fully process

- LOVED when saburo said “cpu” i fixated on computers as a 10 year old

- the line. “fling posse's story will be passed down for generations” fucking killed me. i cant take this anymore

- i like how for literally the entirety of sasaras part in divsion rap battle the camera is just. zooming in and out at the exact same angle. so silly

- i hadnt listened to papillon b4 this live but its such a nice song i cant stop watching the part where hifumis like “DOPPO WAKE UP” why is he so angry during this line. ok

- i like when jyushi is like “nirvana” SOOOOO TRUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

- sort of glad BAT and dotsuhon arent in the finals because it would pain me to root so strongly for fling posse if they were also there but also i think if they were there a team besides fling posse winning wouldnt bother me as much

- i wrote “i hope they do division battle anthem” in my notes literally right as division battle anthem started that was really funny to me

- for some reason in the bridge of dba the cameraman zooms into kijima like twice despite him not singing at all during it. alright then!

- hoodstar is so fun i love fling posses verse i love ramudas entire part especially “im a sweet and bitter femme fatale” i love “WHO THE HELL ARE YOU CALLING AN IDIOT” “just joking ♡” (i dont know why the just joking part isnt in the main lyrics but there is a heart in the subs. congrats!) soma looks like hes having so much fun. during that part

- also i really enjoy matenros. specifically “SHOT SHOTS YES YES DRINK DRINK CHUG ALCOHOL!!!!!!!!!!!” “hifumi you have to take care of your liver (´・ω・｀) “ i dont think ive gone a day w/o thikning about doppo using the :3 face kaomoji in a lyric (even if unspoken) since i found out about it

- im aware the above two arent really specific to the live. Its fine though

- i like kijimas sparkly coat i would like to own it or something like it

- im concerned for itokens vocal cords :(

-shoutout to the person in the audience with just. an entire forearm FULL of bad ass temple lights (speaking of which i have zero idea wtf the lights the audience has here are. looks like a mix of rings and bracelets???) also to the person with the same thing but dotsuhon. if i was there in person even at a live viewing i would do this but for fling posse

I wrote a whole paragraph about how I'd like to dismember myself to give one and each part of my body to Sasara Nurude. He's my world, the light of my existence, the first thing I think about in the morning, the last thing I think about when I got to sleep, he's my reason to live, to keep living in this world, he's the only person in the whole universe who I will ever love this way, he's the only one able to make me feel these strong emotions. When I talk about giving my body parts, I just think it's a way to show love, to cover your partner in your blood to show them how much you love them. This, this is me to Sasara, oh to die in his arms while I cut myself open and let him take my organs one by one while my blood paints his suit in dark red. He can take my arms, so that when he needs a hug he can put them around his perfect body. Of course this will be accompanied of my tongue, why would he date an annoying person who won't stop talking? I need to get rid of it quickly. My legs are useless yet he can take them, I'd like to be completely his, I want him to own every single part of me. What would this be if I didn't give him the most important part? My head. Don't look at it though, after scooping my eyes out I won't look as pretty, but you can stroke my hair when you feel lonely. The rest of the body is useless too, but please, don't throw me away as it would be an honor if you kept it all. You can put it in the fridge, I'll stay cold, as I deserve, oh, Sasara Nurude, I don't deserve your warmth, nor your hugs, kisses or strokes. You're too much for me, what I feel for you can't be put into words, imagine when we're talking about a social media post. I'm in love with you, I want you to own me but I wanna own you too. I wanna be the perfect lover for you, the same way you're the perfect lover for me. So, please, take this arm as a little gift, alright? Just promise me that you'll take the rest of my lifeless body at some point.

One thing I wish would happen: Anything just anything with her . Seriously though the new drama track was literally so fucking good she’s independent ;___; uhm I would like to see her and Ichiro interact again!!! They seemed like they would have become good friends :)
