a short placing heavy emphasis on Hungarian Rhapsody No. II is a rite of passage for golden age cartoons. Bugs Bunny did it! Tom and Jerry did it! Daffy and Donald! but one thing Woody Woodpecker has above the competition is that he is held hostage by a group of gangsters and is forced to entertain, lest he get executed. amazing

#fans of Mickey's Trailer will note the similarities at the beginning of the moving van stretching out the fence--that's because #this was directed by Don Patterson who animated that absolutely BIZARRE cut in Trailer #please look it up if you haven't because it is some of the best animation you will ever see. it is insane #i'm so sad i didn't know this short existed until yesterday because i love it. i love musical cartoons and the story/hook of this one #genuinely made me laugh. and Daws Butler voices the gangsters and cop!#Hungarian Rhapsody No. II... gangster is named Mugsy... it's almost a Friz Freleng short! almost #Hugh Harman did write this one though which is bizarre to me. yes that Hugh Harman who established and ran the first 3 years of the Warner #studio with Rudy Ising #(and Herman Cohen animates on this who of course was a longtime WB animator!)#i love cartoons #ww #convict concerto #patterson #vid #also i am team Rhapsody Rabbit on the RR vs Cat Concerto debate i'm sorry Tom (and Jerry)#but one short has Bugs Bunny killing a man in cold blood and the other doesn't

I have animated a little! I want to practice at it more. Gotta get a better program and also figure out how to do animatics cuz yeah if I had the time and money I would 1000% hammer out a decent Dracula adaptation.

#mp answers #i've been trying so hard not to be annoying to my bnha friends but if you will allow me to push this for this ask let me say 🙏#if you're afraid of the episode count for one piece the manga is a lot quicker read while being just as enjoyable because the art style is #an actual delight. its great its fantastic im absolutely in love with it #the series is soooo good and i know luffy can seem unappealing to people before they start but he's just SUCH a great character & continues #to be even now. the story is SO GOOD the characters are SO GOOD... theres so much lore and world building that its insane #if you read the manga we get 'cover stories' on what's going on with previous characters to see what theyre up to even though we moved on #from where we left them. a lot of these cover stories blend into the main story so well its just seamless #there's one where we get introduced to a character we dont see hundreds of episodes into the anime and they show up like; during the second #saga. the series is about traveling to other islands and every single arc has been tied to another in some way or form that shows up later #even if its sagas and sagas later- it still becomes relevant again!! it's a huge ongoing story and there isnt a single arc that feels like #it has no purpose (sans filler in the anime-but even then!! some filler arcs are really entertaining!)#it's emotional! its sad! its downright stupid and silly but GOD... you can feel the love that oda put into this series and his characters #and the emotions in the expressions and the messages the story gives off it just makes me UEUHGHHAHGHH!!!#it's all about the adventure and the romance of it all! its about the freedom it brings and bringing freedom to others!#its a series where treasure should be a focus given its pirates and the its a giant treasure hunt for the one piece and yet! and yet so man #of the characters treasures are things that are not coins and gems but people and promises and family and and #im going to EXPLODE i love one piece

I did not remember how much lesbian she is #I'm lowkey annoyed that the show frames her attraction to Katarina as “haha funny isn't she weird?!”#like in the sleepover episode she was describing the things she'd like to do with her beloved and she's being like. normal about it #but the soundtrack does a silly and I'm like. wow this anime does not like her huh #I swear Geordo and Keith are even weirder about Katarina than she is but the anime always gives them slack about it #unless they're having their homoerotic squabbles. which is to say the anime does Not Like The Queer Coding of the story #I'm sure there are worse examples of weeb homophobia but there are a couple moments I saw in the manga but not here!#anyway where was I. Oh right. Ascart Sibs Autusm 👍🏼#Nicol doesn't have much presence in the story due to his quiet nature which is so sad because his inner world is intriguing #he's such a good friend. loyal and caring. I wish we got more of him in this season #and finally: Maria. if you can read this, im not vagueposting abt you. but its real fuckin weird how some people think their pet photos are healing to other people. your kitty and your puppy are lovely but sending me pictures of them are not magically making me feel better and its actually kind of weird that you think it would

“Orion, please, look at me, please, listen…” Megatron spoke softly, a gentle servo raised to cup the young knight’s cheek, only for Orion to pull away harshly. Refusing to meet Megatron’s optics. It broke the larger mech’s spark, he just wanted Orion to look at him, he wouldn't care if Orion was angry, he had every right, but this hurt more.

“Why should I? Give me one good reason Megatronus- I mean Lord Megatron.” The way Orion said his name, ‘Lord Megatron’, Megatron could feel the venom dripping from those words, the betrayal and distrust. He found himself lucky to be near the young knight. “Just, leave me. I realized now you were just using me, you never cared, just trying to get me to let my guard down! I-I even thought I was i-in..” Orion couldn’t even finish his words, so full of sparkbreak, the tears streaming down his soft face. He was caught off guard as his chin was lifted and he looked up at Megatron. The large mech gently wiped away the tears.

“Dearspark, please listen, I would never lie to you about how I felt. Every word I said to you was never a lie, yes, I lied about who I was, but not to hurt you. But I am still the mech you have traveled with for so long, please, don't let this end us. I’d never use you, never take advantage of you, I'd protect you with my very life!” Megatron pleaded, his servos now going to hold Orion’s as he got on one knee and held Orion’s servos to his spark. “My spark beats for you my dearest, always and forever. Orion couldn't help his tears as he looked down at Megatron, his optics glossed over by tears. His lip quivered as he leaned forwards and pressed his forehelm to Megatron’s as the mech took Orion into his arms and held him close.

“I-I thought I loved you… I-I was so wrong… w-why does this hurt so much..?” Orion asked between sobs as he moved to press his face to Megatron’s chassis, held in protective and safe arms, it hurt so much, all of this.

Megatron had no words and just gently kissed Orion’s helm, rubbing his back soothingly and promised to Primus he’d get that allspark, if not himself for his love, he didn’t want the mech he cherished to hate him. But he’d rather that than anything else. He needed Orion happy. “Orion, look at me please.” Megatron spoke softly, and finally, Orion looked at Megatron, no help required. “We will get the allspark and you will finish your quest. You being happy is what matters to me. I am not the same mech I once was because of you. You made me a better mech, and I just want to see you smile again, so please, listen to me and let me help you.” Megatron said softly.

Orion was quiet before looking away, his audial fins back as he bit his lip slightly. He then moved out of Megatron’s arms and got up, running his hands over his own arms and shifting away.

“You help me get the allspark, then you leave me alone for the rest of your life, don’t come near me.” Orion then spoke gathering his things, grabbing the map and his sword. He’d never trust Megatron fully again.

Megatron only nodded as he got up and when he tried to touch his little knight, the meg slapped his hand away. He was still upset.

“And NO more touching me!” Orion snapped before he started to walk along the path they had in front of them.

anyone else sad we aren't currently in the middle of gwitch season 3.

#i love the show and im ok with what we got #but its so unfair it was only two seasons #it had a great cast great story great writing and animation #best gundam ive seen in years with so much potential #and then its the shortest series ever #wtf #so much of what bothered me about the ending could have been fixed if they'd been given the traditional 50 eps #or at least one more 12 ep season #its so frustrating to have a show be blocked from reaching its full potential #and given bandai's bullshit in the aftermath its obvious bigotry played a role in this #someone in charge was spooked by a gundam with female leads in a gay romance #cut that off at its knees and rush out more het boys looking sad while war criming asap

for the WIP folder game: I love your Old Gods AU and would really like to hear more about what you have planned for it!

uh, plans... my plans? for an au? I don't have any plans ever (i say, like a lier)

So currently I'm trying to work on a plot point that revolves around Celegorm and it's kind of his swan song for the series, if you will. As has been seeded out in some stories, Celegorm goes haring off to hunt down Eol and get revenge for what he did to Aredhel (who Celegorm is very in love with and no you can't change my mind about it). Unfortunately, leaving his family's protections behind and having a lot of dark thoughts along the way is not good for him, and the Entity (already connected to him due to a childhood encounter) starts worming It's way into him.

As you might imagine, things don't go great when he eventually comes home. Beyond the Entity's growing influence over him, he's seen and done a lot of things that are at odds with how he was raised, and he doesn't want to go back to who he used to me. One of my C+C week stories is set during this period and I love that it's setting up how wrong things feel when Celegorm comes back. Something that isn't explicitly said in that story (figured I can reveal it now) is that Celegorm has started killing small animals for fun.

Anyway, things are going to progress and he's going to do something Really Bad in town. The family finds out, Feanor and he have a fight about his behavior, then he takes his horse and favorite dog (Huan, of course) and leaves. Without any defenses against the Entity, It consumes him.

And, well, that's kind of the end of him being an active character in the series. Astute readers will mark that he comes back to the family but thanks to time enthralled to the Entity, he isn't really doing much any more.

Fun fact (that might never get in a story): Huan leaves Celegorm and becomes Legolas's pet!

Not fun fact: Celegorm eats his horse.
