What’s it like having Ran as your partner? Gender-neutral HCs

Ran doesn’t fall so easily but when he does, you’ll have yourself a doting, caring partner who loves to pamper you.

➼ Ran would want you to look your best, and not only so you’d look good standing next to him! (lol) Because he loves you, he’d want you to feel confident in the way you look. He might take you to his regular salon, offer style advice, or even introduce you to a skincare or haircare routine if you don’t already have one. Before you go out into the streets together, he’d tell you how good you look and remind you to keep your chin up. After all, someone like you, who managed to steal his heart, should stand proud.

➼ I think he’ll be the type to wipe the corner of your mouth if you missed a stain on it, fix your hair if a strand is out of place, smooth down your clothes, fix your collar or tie if it’s askew, etc. (He definitely used to do this to Rindou)

➼ He thinks about you a lot so that when he finds an outfit from a magazine that would look great on you, or smells a perfume that screams “you” to him, he’d want to show you! All he needs is the slightest sign of approval–-maybe your face brightening up? Perhaps a small smile? Maybe you looked at it for more than ten seconds? Before you know it, he’s already bought it for you.

➼ Shopping with Ran, huh? This gives you the privilege of seeing him try on clothes! He’ll ask you what you think, or to pick out stuff you’d like to see him wearing. Of course, he’d want to buy clothes for you too. If you ever had the experience of your mom making you come back to the fitting room again and again because she found some great clothes for you, here it is again! Except it’s not your mom anymore but your partner.

➼ If you’re not well-off, Ran would spoil you to death. He’d want you to experience all the luxuries that he and his brother do. You get to have your dates at fancy fine-dining restaurants. You receive only the most expensive chocolates. Your wardrobe is slowly filling up with designer clothing. He would give you the world as long as you stay with him.

➼ Relaxing with Ran is always a treat. Imagine being pampered by Ran in his room: he is softly humming as he covers your face in an expensive mask. Him brushing or massaging oils into your hair. His touches are so gentle, and it makes you sleepy. All while doing these, a perfectly serene smile is on his face. (He rarely ever gets to do this on Rindou, so he is happy to have you.)

➼ There are days when you both just want to chill on their balcony wearing bathrobes, sipping wine (or any drink of your choice) out of fancy glasses. Your usual topics of conversation are celebrities, fashion, art, and maybe even philosophy! Ran is interested in hearing your opinions on different topics as well as sharing his own. If anyone tries to disturb your time together, they will face Ran’s wrath. His time with you is precious!

➼ Ran would be the #1 reason you’re late to anything because his bed is just so comfy, he’s so comfy, and honestly, how could you leave that pretty sleeping princess behind? If he wakes up to you leaving the bed, he will try to pull you back in. He’ll say “5 more minutes” while wrapping himself tighter around you.

➼ As his partner, you must laugh at his dad jokes. He loves puns, so come up with some of your own, won't you? Aside from dad jokes, his humor can be outdated. He’s the type of person who’d use a 2016 meme in 2020. Sometimes, you or Rindou need to explain certain memes or trends to him. It’s cute. He’s cute.

➼ To Rindou, you are a godsend. With you around, his brother is less of a killjoy (his words). He can party just a bit longer and be as loud with his friends as he wants. If he’s lucky, you manage to get his brother out of the house for maybe a night or two. It’s also fun for him to see his brother go so soft with you.

➼ Ran is anxious whenever you hang out with people he doesn't know. He would want to meet your friends, and if any of them feel off to him, he would tell you. (His intuition is pretty good, after all). He won't ask you to stop hanging out with them but will remind you to be cautious. It's not out of possessiveness but worry about your safety. Your boyfriend, after all, rules Roppongi. People are always out to exploit his weaknesses.

➼ If you somehow piss him off, you have to wait for him to come to you. If for example, you’re spending the night at their residence, you have to stay on the couch before he allows you back in his room. In the middle of the night, you might feel yourself being gently shaken awake by Ran (it’s a bit scary because his hair-covered face is the first thing you see) who wants to invite you back into his room. You’re forgiven.

➼ If he’s pissed you off, he’d also stay away for a while. Sooner or later, he’ll take out a cake or tub of ice cream with two spoons and sit with you so you can share it. If he sees you busy working on something, he’ll approach with a mug of a hot drink he prepared for you and a snack before sitting beside you. The apology comes after a long moment of silence, and things are okay again. Humbling himself and saying sorry was hard for him at first, but it got easier because he loves you.

Part three of Kakucho's unbirthday series!

( Part one & part two here, it makes a lot more sense if you read it everything )

This drabble was @just-sp-in-inginthevoid idea, it happens in the final timeline. Because of course, the Haitani brothers are extras in every damn time line.

Mitsuya used to admire the Haitani brothers. Used, in past sentence.

(drabble of the Haitani being annoying and making the poor Mitsuya do the costumes for Kakucho's unbirthday)

Warnings: None, this is just hilarious (or it was in my mind). Also, fluff and comfort because Mitsuya is a saint!

(English is not my first language, so be nice please 🙈)

Mitsuya used to admire the Haitani brothers. He can't remember why right now, to be honest. He thought it was enough with having to make them a different uniform for Toman, but no.

Apparently, they liked his designs. Usually, Mitsuya would feel flattered by that, specially coming from the two rulers of Roppongi. Right now? He just feels annoyed.

Because them liking his work, only means that they ask him for special outfits every damn time. The young designer wanted to say no, but the Haitanis are paying for it and he knows his mom could use the money ( he could use the money too, actually ).

So even if their requests are weird as fuck, he does it. He keeps wondering who on Earth would ask for stylish Alice in Wonderland costumes, but he does it. The first time. And the second. And the third.

Mitsuya always considered himself a patient person, but apparently even he has limits. It's the damn four time in less than half a year.

Both brothers doing smug remarks. Rindou slurring the words, drunk even if it's only the afternoon. Ran getting too freaking close to Mitsuya every time he talks to him.

So it happens, the violet-haired boy finally snaps.

“And why exactly do you need so many costumes of this?”

The brothers look fazed after hearing his grumpy voice, not expecting this from the Toman captain.

“Dah, it's for Kakucho. Obviously.”

Mitsuya looks at Rindou, even more confused by this answer. Why was he expecting? A coherent reason? At least, he can see Ran rolling his eyes, apparently thinking the same about his little brother words. Deciding to give a better explanation.

“Kakucho doesn't have a real birthday. So we organize him unbirthday tea parties once in a while.”

Oh.

The younger boy just smiles softly and nods, finally understanding it.

The next time the Haitanis pop up, Mitsuya already have some sketches to show them. New ideas for keeping the costumes original and aesthetically pleasing at the same time.

There is a lot of things about this two annoying brothers that he still doesn't get. A lot. But one thing he definitely gets is what it means to be there for your family. For your friends.

Who knows, maybe he actually has something in common with them.

»» author's note: some hcs about those s62 characters we hardly have any info on! TW for the canon typical violence, mentions of child neglect and similar things, eds, abuse.

»» What characterizes, for me, the s62 is that none of them have "a place to go to"

➛Yasuhiro Mutō

» He grew up in a broken family. His mother was a battered woman, and although Yasuhiro was never abused, he witnessed her constantly being beaten.

» When he was seven years old his parents divorced and his mother took custody of him. By then, he had already turned into a troublesome boy.

» He was never a model student. He didn't bully others, but he could grab anyone in lunch time and beat them up without saying a word. He used to smoke in the bathrooms and hang out with other troublesome kids like him, even though he didn't consider them friends.

» He always felt somewhat alone.

» On the outside he was a quiet guy, quite expressionless and barely speaking. However, inside he had fire. If something made him angry, he didn't hesitate for a single moment to crush what was bothering him.

» He was expelled several times for bad behavior. His strength always made him respected by all the schools he went through.

» The night before he was arrested and sent to juvie, he had an argument with his mother. Things escalated and he ended up hitting her. It's his biggest regret.

» When he left juvie, his mother kicked him out of the house. Well, she didn't kick him out. She directly never opened the door for him. Yasuhiro was left completely alone. He ended up turning to Izana and together they gave name and shape to the Generation of Brutality.

» Since then, everything has happened. Drug trafficking, small-scale prostitution, beatings, extortion. Yasuhiro and Izana were feared wherever they went.

» When Izana left for some reason (he later found out that izana cut himself off from everyone because of shin's death), he was left alone again. That's when Mikey found him and proposed to join the Toman.

» He had problems with drugs, but managed to recover.

» Yasuhiro used to go to a small coffee shop in his neighborhood to hang out. He became friends with the owner, an older lady who treated him as if he were her grandson and who always gave him desserts. Thanks to that relationship, he managed to redirect his life, and also have a dream: to have his own coffee shop in the future.

» His calm temperament contrasts with his brutal strength. He's a stoic and firm boy, lover of discipline and authoritarianism. After getting a job it began his interest in historical literature. He liked to read about wars and empires while having a coffee.

» Meeting Haruchiyo was one of the best things that happened to him.

» Sanzu became like a little brother to him. Someone to warn not to use drugs, not to get into trouble, someone to hang out with even if it was in silence, since Haruchiyo was a quiet boy.

» Haruchiyo reminded him of himself and the other members of S62. Hence, he told him that it seemed he had no place to go and that they were similar.

» During the year and a half that they were together, they formed a special bond. Or at least for him it was. He took a liking to him and they even got to share a apartment on one occasion when Haruchiyo was short of money. He came to know that he had left home, but never more than that. Haruchiyo was very closed, and Yasuhiro tried to open his heart.

» His peers always came to him for advice. Especially Kakucho, whom everyone treated as one of the group.

➛Haitani Brothers

» Roppongi natives. Their parents had a lot of money, their father was a prosecutor and their mother a surgeon.

» Despite the luxurious appearance of Roppongi and its inhabitants, they had none of it. Their father mistreated them constantly, he was kinda passive-aggressive, the kind of father who throwed them in the face that he was supporting them with his money and they couldn't complain, the kind of father who finded it very easy to hit them because he thought they were property and not persons.

No Christmas presents, no birthday parties, it was all discipline. If one of his sons failed something he'll made up a mess. The Haitani brothers were quite relaxed and normal in their academic life and that made him very angry. Ran always skipped classes, and Rindou was constantly distracted.

» Ran snapped back at their father constantly. The fights were so strong that to this day Rindou still feels anxiety when he hears someone scream in an argument. It was the first time he saw Ran being violent towards someone and he'll never forget it.

» Despite Rindou being the most sadistic, deep down he's quite sensitive.

» Rindou frequented clubs to escape from his reality. That's where he learned how to use DJ equipment. He also bragged about all the money he had to feel better about himself and create a facade to hide behind.

His alter ego was the strong, attractive boy that everyone loved and praised. When he returned home, he was nothing more than a nuisance to his parents, an offal with which they verbally retaliated.

» On the other hand, Ran always preferred quiet places like libraries to sleep among books.

» Ran was recruited to Max Maniacs after being watched beating up someone who tried to rob him on the street. He really hated drugs and that kind of things. From the beginning he thought of taking advantage of the gang.

» Rindou followed him. He liked to feel he had authority. It was the first time they introduced themselves as Haitani brothers. They refused to follow orders that didn't include both of them at the same time.

» All the money that Ran stole from the Max Maniacs executives he used to leave their house for good and rent an apartment with his brother.

» Then they challenged the leaders of Roppongi Kyougoku, the famous battle that led them to rise in (criminal) popularity and be arrested.

» During their time on Max Maniacs, in fact, they were already quite known for having no mercy with their opponents and, of course, a great sense of fashion.

» Ran is actually a very calm person, but with a very fragile barrier. He's easily annoyed but won't say it, he'll just wait for the right moment to take brutal revenge. He's extremely smart.

» Rindou spent hours in the gym because he never liked his physique. He worked for it until he liked himself.

» Ran went on to develop an eating disorder.

» When they left the juvie they already had a well built reputation so it wasn't difficult for them to get everything they wanted.

➛Shion Madarame

» He lived alone with his alcoholic father. His mother left him behind when he was six years old.

» He suffered quite a bit of neglect and hardly bathed as a child. The money was often not enough for new clothes or school supplies. Shion was the boy who always borrowed pens and pencils because his father preferred to spend all his money on alcohol.

» Due to lack of care, he was always disheveled and some of his classmates shunned him because of his bad smell. He hardly had any friends.

» He fell in love with the first person who agreed to do a group project with him. However, his skills for love are nil and he got nothing. He never knew how to interact with love interests, nor how to cope with that feeling.

» Shion always hated his father, even though he ended up being just as arrogant and boastful as him.

» When he was a child he quite liked to draw. If he stayed home alone, he could spend hours drawing, coloring or gluing tree leaves on paper, marking his hands with pencils. He was good with artistic things and surprisingly had patience for scrapbooking.

» Over time that skill cooled, but as a child he dreamed of being a manga artist.

» The first person he admired was Izana. It was something like respect at first sight. At first he tried hard to please him and always orbited around him. He felt a rivalry towards Kakucho because he was the one who had the most confidence with Izana.

» Indeed, he could never resemble Kakucho. It's his biggest frustration.

» Despite being really annoying when he sets his mind to it, he has an impeccable sense of loyalty. He would die for Izana if necessary and the only thing he would regret would be that he was nothing more than a "weak dog" for others.

» He's twisted. He won't hesitate to get into a fight if he hears Izana's name being used in a bad way. He also doesn't like being teased. He easily loses control.

» He's not good at fighting but stay away from him if he's carrying a knife or knuckle dusters.

» As a child he liked to skate and his scar is from a fall, although he'll say it was from a fight.

» Urgently needs a hug.

» He and Rin hit it off instantly because they both get excited easily in fights. Ran always keeps a close eye on them because he's sharped eyed and see when they're not realizing that something's wrong.

» He developed an anxiety disorder.

➛Kanji Mochizuki

» He's an orphan.

» He grew up in an orphanage in Kawasaki, maybe that's why he understands Izana so well. When he was a kid he was quite active. He didn't mess with the weakest, but he liked to command authority and respect.

When he had the chance, he left the place with his friends and together they formed Jugen, in which he was the leader.

» The discovery of an abuse case caused the orphanage to close, some time later. Mochizuki found out that one of his Jugen mates had been abused back then, so they searched for the director.

They found him when the police were taking him away in handcuffs and Mochizuki beat him up. He smashed in the face of the cop who tried to stop him and he was sent to the juvie.

» In juvie he was quite respected for having sent an abuser to the hospital half dead. He got along well with the locals, and his fellow Jugen mates sent him letters from outside.

» He wasn't a troublemaker. He always did his homework and attended all the programs and classes that were taught there. He liked patio time and exercising by running every morning

» When he met Izana he decided to disband Jugen to follow him. He urged his former teammates to join Tenjiku.

» He ate a lot. He was one of those kinds of people capable of repeating a dish three times and eating the leftovers of others.

» When he met Shion he thought he was crazy. At first he couldn't stand him for always showing off and being so loud.

» He cares a lot about his physical image. He shaves regularly and takes care of his skin. On one occasion Ran complimented how good his hair looked and that was the best day of his life.

» He was always very sensitive towards his S62 teammates. He sensed Izana's loneliness just seeing him speak once, the Haitani's trust issues, the fact that Shion would always leave when someone offered to drink alcohol for fun.

» Something he doesn't like about himself is that he can't quit smoking.

» He likes to spend time alone. When he feels nervous he goes to Jugen's old hideout to smoke or just think

➛Izana Kurokawa (not exactly about his childhood since we already now about it)

» He has undiagnosed adhd.

» He has long conversations with his fish. No one can convince me otherwise.

» His fish lives better than him. He could spend hours just looking at his pet. The latter calms him down and he does it whenever he feels anxious.

» He finds Shion insistent and somewhat annoying. He always orders Kakucho to keep him away from him because his enthusiasm gives him headaches.

» Ran, Yasuhiro and he share a taste for Queen.

» After Shinichiro's death he was on the verge of falling into an addiction to hypnosedatives. He had... some harmful thoughts.

» He randomly zooms out when someone talks to him.

» A childish taste he has are stickers, collecting them. He has a folder full of them.

» Since his time as leader of the Black Dragons, he didn't grow his hair that long again, since it was difficult for him to take care of it. He wasn't very devoted to the physical image of him until he grew up.

» He secretly envy Ran's flawless skin. He had acne that left some marks that he doesn't like.

» He never asks for advice. If he has a problem he'll swallow it and move on, without anyone knowing. He hates crying, he hates it as much as one day he hated himself

» Everybody finds out when he's having a bad day because he treats those around him badly.

» He has a huge resting bitch face. He never controls his expressions.

» Needs a hug but hates physical contact.

» If he has to complain about something, he does it with Kakucho. That poor boy bears all of Izana's annoyances.

» He has a terrifying facility for self-destruction, for losing control and losing himself as well.

Ok I've got a bunch for you guys!!! Here they are

Has a black dragons tattoo somewhere

Didn't get his scar from a fight but from him having a clumsy accident (he tells everyone it was a fight)

Actually heard about and looked up to the black dragons, when he met Wakasa, Takeomi and Benkei he thought they were going to happy to meet him too.

Dropped out of school, he didn't see any point in attending anymore.

Loves head pats

Sometimes gets a little jealous of Kakucho when he sees how close he is to Izana.

Never did find out the truth about Rindou playing around with him, still thinks he's very respectful towards him.

Doesn't like licking blood but likes the reactions from people when he does it.

Loves his mad dog nickname, brings it up often.

Visits Izana's grave often after he died.

Refuses to admit he has stomach issues, instead he insists he has an iron stomach.

Plays with the kids he works with A lot in the good timeline, will get on the floor to play horsey happily and even dresses up with the girls for tea parties.

Couldn't read the room when it came to South, he thought they were good friends.

If he loses a competition like arm wrestling then he'll say he went easy on them

Became good friends with Yamagishi in the good timeline. Yamagishi was excited to meet the 9th gen black dragons captain and Shion was excited to meet a "fan".

Was very unsure about joining kmg because of his history with Mikey but wanted to stay with the other S62 members

Is a very good driver, he spent a lot of time practising.

He uses a knuckle duster because as a kid he was beaten up with one by a gang member, he then learnt to use them too in order to take revenge. Him beating that gang member and taking his knuckle dusters is what first got him known in the delinquent world.

Wants an actual dog (in the good timeline he does end up taking in a street dog. She's very small and fluffy and Shion babies her. She's nothing like a "mad dog")

Badly wants a romantic partner, loves the idea of dating someone and someone loving him with him loving them back.

Is the friend in the group chat to be constantly left on read

Got into a drinking contest with Rindou once, he ended up passing out.

Both his black dragons uniforms are hung up in his bedroom on display.

Likes watching movies a lot, when he does start dating someone he takes them on lots of movie dates.

Would also take his partner to festivals and spend ages playing the games to try and win them a plushie. He's not very good but he is persistant.

Silly headcanon with pretty much no basis in canon but oh well: when they were kids, Rindou used to make birthday cards for Ran every year. There would be little drawings of them together in the cards. When Ran turned 13, Rindou had a card ready for him, but Ran was out with his delinquent friends and Rindou thought it would be embarrassing to get a badly-drawn card from his little brother so he never gave it to him. Ran actually noticed when Rindou stopped giving him cards, and he still has all the ones he gave him in the past.

One day Ran mentions this to S62 and of course they tease Rindou relentlessly about it. Shion jokingly asks why Rindou doesn't make him a birthday card. On his next birthday, Rindou makes him a card that says "Congratulations on being another year closer to dying."

little misc headcanons:

ran likes puns and dad jokes and will say them with a straight face so no one can tell whether he did it on purpose or not (it drives rindou mad every time bc he can tell).

thinks horror movies are funny so when he asks you out for a "fun movie at the theater" expect to be surrounded by screams and jumpscares and maybe gore. if he finds a movie boring he WILL fall asleep.

HATES cockroaches and makes rindou get rid of them but thinks spiders are cute.

once bought a beautiful pot of flowers and put more effort than usual into taking care of it only to later realize they were plastic.

says he listens to classical music but look through his liked songs on spotify and it's stuff like cause i'm god girl by hyuna and main character by rosse.

he very rarely blushes but when he does it goes up to the tip of his ears (and forehead if he's extra embarrassed).

his natural hair color is black but only rindou knows (and only rindou is allowed to know -- tho the s62 guys saw his hair grow back black during their time at juvie).

I think after Kisaki came out, Izana gave Kakucho the job of putting together the s62 generation for Tenjiku. During the depression due to the death of Shinichiro, Izana let everyone go, so after leaving the reform school, s62 joined other gangs, and were not next to Izana. now maybe Izana was defeating other gangs and gathering people for Tenjiku while Kakucho was gathering s62. It seems to me that Haitani would not dare to put conditions before the imperious Izana, but they went for Kakucho

My headcanon about what happened was that Izana met the S-62 in prison and knuckled them down. They had some kind of agreement and plan to form a gang (and engage in actual criminal activities), but didn’t get to do much as they all got released at separate times and went their ways.

After Izana’s release, he met up with Kakucho to officially start Tenjiku (they named it together) and he instructed Kakucho to gather and invite the S-62 (and other members). Kakucho hit the Haitani’s up, and they took the opportunity to impose the condition about their tokko-fuku (despite already having intentions to join anyway lmao). Like what’s stated in CB3, stuff like that doesn’t matter to Kakucho so he’s like “yeah, whatever” and the rest is history. I don’t think Izana was jealous, just annoyed and salty that the Haitani’s are standing out, so he blamed Kakucho for it LOL. (The whole incident was written in a really light-hearted way in CB3, so I don’t think Izana was seriously mad/upset.)

I guess it’s different from my original HC, where it’s Izana who invited them and introduced them to Kakucho, who wanted it to be just Izana and him. I love Wakui’s canon story way better though! But I’ll have to rewrite the scene between Kakucho and Haitani in ROAC Chapter 1 a bit…!

My first impression

Well, I didn't pay much attention to him until Tenjiku started, so.. 'ohnononono Takemichi fits the Suspicious potential-Spy description to a T, I promise you he's not, plz don't hurt them, you're wrong' followed by 'Oh, he's the traitor'

My impression now

He deserves a quiet & simple life rather than a constantly dangerous one.

He's the epitome of trustworthy. ... if you've got his loyalty that is.

He's torn between his two found families but also resigned himself to cut his tie to one to keep the other which was there first. He tried to. He doubts, he's indecisive. At the end, he can't actually decide. He loves them all so much

I wonder what his childhood was like; for him to know judo and break someone's spine

Favorite thing about that character

Good big brother vibes. Whether it's Toman or Tenjiku, he deserves vacations for having to be around them so often (witnessing and being caught up in their shenanigans)

➼ Ran stalks his crush’s social media profiles to find out what they’re into and of course, look at some cute photos of them too. He accidentally likes a post from four years ago and doesn’t even notice that he did. All he can think about is that one post they shared about (for example) how “long-haired guys are top tier” which got him smiling and blushing in his room.

➼ This guy would look for his crush’s MBTI or Zodiac sign, then research their compatibility with his personality type and sign. If they clash with his ISTJ-Gemini, he’d be disappointed but he’ll choose to ignore that. He doesn’t really take these seriously, anyway.

➼ Poor Ran tends to overanalyze everything they do and say. You know that line in The Louvre that goes, “I overthink your punctuation use”? That’s him. “Rindou, they put a period at the end of their sentence. They’ve never done that when texting me. What could that mean? Rindou?” They tell him something as simple as “Take care” and this guy is twirling his braids before proceeding to ask Rindou if that means they like him back. Uhh...

➼ Naturally remembers very specific things about his crush. “Oh, that shade of red. It’s the shade of red they wore last Wednesday.” It’s like they occupy his head 24/7. Probably sees someone tall and goes, “Oh, [Crush Nickname] would only reach up to that guy’s chest. How cute.”

➼ He purpsefully dresses in a way that he knows they like (he gets this info from their social media). Do they like it when men roll up their sleeves and open their collars ever-so-slightly? Dude’s going out looking exactly like that and he makes sure his crush sees it.

➼ If he ever gets asked why he likes his crush, he tries to be all poetic. “The sound of their voice is like the inside of a montblanc.” Then whoever’s asking him will just be like “...what?”

➼ Once in a relationship, he would have so many inside jokes with his S/O. It scares Rindou sometimes how they only need to take one look at each other to know what the other is thinking. He and his S/O just laugh out of nowhere after hearing a certain word and it confuses so many people.

➼ Ran and his S/O are often that couple found whispering and giggling in a corner, judging everybody. They also ditch parties together to hang out in Ran’s room. There, his S/O brushes his hair and does his skincare routine for him while Ran shares gossip with them. Ran knows where to get all the tea and shares it all with his S/O.

➼ If his S/O is an introvert, they need not worry! He’s got really good persuasive skills so if they want something from someone tricky, Ran would do all the smooth-talking for them. He’ll give them a wink and then go up there to work his magic. Also, if they’re out on a date, Ran would order for them. He’d even be the “Excuse me, they asked for no pickles” guy while his S/O hides behind him.

➼ Ran asks his S/O not to leave before he wakes up and it’s serious. He needs to hold them and give them a proper goodbye kiss and all that. It’s the only acceptable reason for anyone to wake him up. If he wakes up and sees them gone, he’ll feel emo like crap for the rest of the day. Sends them a dramatic “Why did you leave me” text and terrorizes Rindou : (

RINDOU

➼ When he has a crush, Ran and the other S62 know. (His crush already knows because Shion unintentionally spilled it lmao) Rindou has to beg them not to be so loud about it when they’re around. That means the entire group should not stop and stare whenever Rindou’s crush passes by (they do), no nudging, smirking and throat-clearing whenever he has to talk to them (they also do).

➼ He’s got many friends so some of them might “help” him out. You’ve got people asking you what you think about Rindou. Some people are obvious, some are better at hiding their intentions. Whatever his crush says will reach him (so if they like him back they better pile on the compliments lmao he would explode!). Or, these people might just tell his crush about how he’s sooo good at DJ’ing and how he’s sooo strong and fit because he frequents the gym and his crush would just be smiling like “Hehe, I know why you’re doing this.”

➼ Rin would often reply or comment on their posts. He's not replying to every single one but to a good number that his crush and others would start to notice him. They post a picture of their food and he'd say "Looks delicious. Enjoy your lunch!" Or when they post a selfie, he's the first to like. His crush would be the only one he does this to, because he's always being a shithead under his friends' posts (Shion).

➼ This simp always defends his crush no matter what. If he overhears or reads a negative conversation about them, those people will be hearing from him. He argues with people who leave pervy comments under their posts if there are any. The type of guy who’d be the first to run after them when they get upset to make sure they’re okay.

➼ Sometimes, Rindou lets them borrow his stuff, then he’d leave without that thing so that they’d have a reason to look for him [to return it]. It just works every time.

➼ As a boyfriend, he’s extremely supportive. Are they the sporty type? He attends all their matches. Rin gets so mad when a foul is committed against their team that it’s almost like part of the team himself. Are they a performer? He’s at every performance, makes sure he’s in a good seat. Do they do YouTube? He’s down there in the comments hyping them up. Their viewers know he’s their boyfriend.

➼ Let’s say the two of them decided to go on public transpo and they get on a bus that has no free seats so they have to stand. If they’re anything like me and they keep falling over, he’ll hold them steady with a firm arm around them. They get to hold on to his toned arm and smell his cologne.

➼ They have a collaborative Spotify playlist together and it’s the strangest mix. It’s got their music taste, his music taste, some video game OST songs, and meme music. Sometimes, they’d listen to the playlist while chilling on call and doing their own things.

➼ He’s sociable, so he’d be the type of boyfriend to gather their friends to prepare a surprise birthday party for them. He’d befriend their friends and they’d love him! He'll even walk their female friends home if they have no one else.

➼ If they play video games, he’ll gift them the skins they want because, hello, he’s got the money for that! They might also, from time time, play characters in games that are a couple (like Rakan and Xayah from League or Ada and Emil from IdV).

➼ They just need to say they’re having a bad day and he’s pulling up at their house with their favorite comfort food and a movie as soon as he’s able. I just think Rindou would be great to talk to your problems about? He mostly just listens and won’t give unsolicited advice. He’d offer to beat up the person who’s making his S/O sad though.

[OKAY but imagine (here’s me pushing the Shion-Rindou-Kaku agenda again): Shion and Kakucho casually trying to talk to Rindou’s crush. Shion accidentally spills it then Kaku panics and tries to do damage control by telling Rin’s crush that he likes someone else, but he’s made it worse because now Rin’s crush thinks he’s not interested in them lmaooo]

Okay, yesterday I had a shared brain riot with @just-sp-in-inginthevoid about Kakucho not having a real birthday and the s62 throwing him unbirthday mad tea parties. More of once in a year because, hey, it's an unbirthday! Mostly because the Haitani brothers wanted a excuse to be extras and dress up, but also because they decided it was a funny way of trying to find out his real birthday (of course, Izana was the one that decided the official date).

In some way, this is the second part of this drabble here. What could be at least in Bonten!timeline.

Kakucho used to loves his unbirthdays. Before everything changed.

(Drabble of Kakucho during Bonten. There is some subtle KakuIza, but it's just a tinny moment easy to ignore and see it as platonic)

Warnings: Angst and hurt without too much comfort. I'm so sorry, I swear the idea was hilarious in my mind, but then Bonten timeline appeared and it refused to not be angsty. So yeah, I'm so sorry, Kakucho 😭

"Happy unbirthday!"

Kakucho almost jumped when Ran, Rindou and Mochi screamed at him as soon as he entered his office.

He just sighed, because of course, he should've know better. It was Februart 1st, he's official "unbirthday".

But the scarred man thought, that now that they were all adults (and criminals, for god's sake), this surprises parties were over. Or at least, the costumes were over. He should've know better, Ran and Rindou missing a chance to dress up and be weirdos? Not in a million years. Even the poor Mochi was wearing some ridiculous bunny-ears.

"I'm not going to wear a costume, so don't even try it."

Kakucho managed to say as soon as he saw Ran's mischievous smile. Rindou looked disappointed, but the two brothers quickly shrugged that off. They tried every time, but no even Izana himself could make Kakucho dress with an "Alice" costume.

Oh yeah, his unbirthday parties had a theme. Always the same one. A mad tea party in Alice in Wonderland. But the Haitani brothers always wore a different costume. Every damn time. They could repeat characters, but outfit? Never.

Chesire Cat Ran smiled at him, not caring about his grumpy attitude.

"Come on, Kakucho, we deserve some fun. So sit down and drink your tea, before I decide this was a fiasco and we need to throw you another party soon"

Kakucho shivered with the idea. No thanks, he still remembered that times (He tried so hard to forger, yet, he still remembered everything). All the s62 generation throwing him a unbirthday party more than once a year. Because for some reason, the Roppongi rulers decided it was a good way of finding his real birthday. Ran was sure they would get it right eventually, Rindou was convinced that Kakucho would have a big reaction when they finally did it. Of course, both of them were wrong.

So, even if his "official" birthday was the date Izana decided for him, even if it was just supposed to be February 1st, he had more tea parties that he was able to count. Izana used to joke about how Kakucho was at least fourty with so many celebrations.

Maybe is that, he thought, the memory of Izana's laugh being too real for a second. Because now he finds himself smiling softly while drinking tea and eating cake with what's rest of his family. Mad Had Rindou is making jokes about Sanzu's insanity and Kakucho is laughing, he's actually enjoying this.

Kakucho had fun, even if they could only stole a couple hours for that. But he felt good for this hours, less alone. The reminder that there was still people with him that shared the same memories, the same grief. The left pieces of his broken family. Kakucho was not alone and his friends never failed to show him that when he needed it most.

Later that night, after finally finishing the job and cleaning everything up, Kakucho was unable to sleep. The memories were too present this time.

He still remembered the last umbirthday he was actually happy. A few days before the Kanto Incident. Even if everything was getting more dangerous, even with Kisaki's plots, with the raids on Toman, the Haitani brothers decided that it was the best day to do it.

Or maybe it was exactly because of that, who knows. Kakucho certainly needed to relax that day, he was tense with everything that was happening, with seeing that bastard manipulating Izana.

But that day, Izana shone. That day, Izana didn't talk about Mikey or Toman, focusing his full attention on his servant. He dressed up like the queen of hearts, like always. Refusing to wear any costume that didn't show how majestic he was. Kakucho thought the tanned boy always looked like a king no matter what he was wearing. But he never told him that. He never told him so many things...

Kakucho cries himself to sleep that night, curled up in his bed like a kid.

Overlapping with the last time he ever saw Izana's genuine smile directed at him.

Snow threathening to fill his nightmares one more time.

His own regrets eating him alive.

I am insanely curious to know how Ran knows Kakucho.

He may have heard about Izana when he was the leader of the Black Dragons, and later he met him in juvie, but what about Kakucho? We never really knew where Kakucho was while Izana was 1) in Black Dragons and 2) when Shinichiro died when Kisaki went to visit him

When Ran says that he admired them, was he referring to their way of living? To the ideals of Tenjiku?

At a certain point in the fight, Izana mentions that the Tenjiku members are following him out of fear. However, this is not really the case.

Ran really admired Izana and Kakucho, he looks very devastated and even seems to stay a few more seconds next to their bodies, while Rindou leaves him space because he may know how much the situation is affecting him.

First: the fight was intense for him. While he is initially shown as someone who enjoys violence, he later becomes agitated due to Rindou being injured. And then, he loses those he admired. That night had to be tiring for him.

And the rest? The rest of the Tenjiku members decided to stay and be arrested instead of running away.

None of them followed Izana out of fear, as he said. Let's take South as an example of following someone out of fear: they all abandoned him when he died. South didn't have any ideals in particular, people followed him because of his extreme violence. That's the difference between them.

Izana also used violence, ofc, but he had something else. South only had the violence and everyone left him when he died, as if nothing had happened.

Izana truly marked a before and after in everyone's hearts.

His ideals are understandable and it is easy to empathize with him, because everyone in Tokyo Revengers is alone in some way. Let us remember that one of the reasons why gangs in Japan and Bōsōzoku exist is because of the need to escape from a society as rigid as theirs.

It is referenced that Mutō had nowhere to go chapter where he and Sanzu meet, the Haitani brothers had always been next to each other, with no one else and only seem to care about themselves, so presumably they only have each other, both as colleagues and family. Not much is known about the rest, but they probably had a way of life in which the gang was everything to them.

Even though all of them, especially Kakucho, knew that he was possibly crazy, they stayed with the two of them even knowing that they would be sent to juvie again.

Tenjiku was the ideal utopia they all needed. They truly respected him.

And, going back to Ran, I assume he still appreciates Kakucho. I loved that gesture of camaraderie he had with him helping him walk at the end of the Three Deities battle. I assume Rindou is walking behind them and it's one of the moments where Ran is seen actively interacting with someone other than his brother.

Used to make Izana crayon birthday cards each year as a kid

Enjoys long walks and hikes when the weather's good.

He doesn't tell anyone this but he sometimes get's a bit nervous during car rides (Izana notices)

When in a relationship he likes to show off his strength a lot, does things like carry all the shopping bags inside at once.

Likes to spend time with Pah and Draken in the good timeline (he joins their arm wrestling competitions).

If he's hanging out with the guys and one of them falls asleep (most likely Ran) he'll put his jacket over them like a blanket

Still keeps in contact with the workers at the orphanage, he likes to make sure they're ok and when he's in a gang he makes sure they get no trouble.

Knew Takuya and was friends with him too

Holds Izana's umbrella for him when it's raining (it comes naturally for him to do this when he starts dating someone too)

Shion won't stop challenging him to random battles like press ups and arm wrestling (Shion loses every time)

Frequently cooks dinner for Izana and occasionally the other S62 members.

Blushes easily

The first time he fought against yakuza was because of a sarcastic comment Izana made after Kakucho asked him how to get stronger.

He's been practically adopted by the Haitani brother's but doesn't actually realise that's what's going on.

Kakucho was actually super excited to take Rindou with him to exercise. He wants to do it again and assumed Rindou loved it.

Can surf well

Hearing Izana play the guitar is one of his favourite things.

He actually ended up liking South and felt bad about his death

Continues to practice running on a track so that he can one day beat Ran and Izana.

In the good future he's one of the kid's favourites, he's always up for playing games with them.

Drinks a lot of water, he's the friend who's always reminding others to stay hydrated

In a relationship he's a big fan of showing affection through touch. He loves hugs, and grabbing his partners hand when walking. He also loves sleeping while having someone in his arms.

Is stubborn when it comes to his injuries, ignores them a lot.

He wasn't sure of his birthday so Izana assigned him one

If he finds someone he likes he immediately goes to Izana for advice, even if Izana has never been in a relationship himself.

Is bad at keeping plants alive, he gets a bit enthusiastic and tends to overwater them

Whenever it snows he builds an igloo to remind him of before (Izana also joins in)

Is a very thoughtful gift giver, always puts so much effort in. Even as a kid when he was hand making gifts.

He's very physically hot (not in the way you're thinking!) he just gets hot easily, sleeps with the windows open even in winter.

Was very disappointed when he heard Takemichi had joined brahman, kicked a chair in frustration (he just wants to be in a gang with his friend)
