Headcannon that Eddie sleeps naked. It was one of those days where Eddie stayed up late and decided to sleep until noon. He was woken up by the knocking on his door. They lived in a house now, and Wayne had his own room, so he didn't have to see it when Eddie stumbled sleepily into the living room butt ass naked. Eddie opened the door grumbling.

Eddie: Who could possibly be trying to come over at this ungodly hour?

Steve: *standing on the porch and holding Eddie's vest, shocked* Uh, it's almost noon??

Eddie: Yeah, it's almost noon. So, what are you doing here, Harrington? Hey, is that my vest?

Steve: *unable to find his voice as he he stares at Eddie.*

Eddie: Hello? Earth to Harrington?

Steve: *throws the vest at Eddie* For your modesty, dude.

Eddie grins and slips on the vest, winking at Steve. The other man stuttered, blushing, then ran off to his car and drove away.

Eddie: *scoffs* Dude acts like he's never seen a naked man before. *A door opens from inside.*

Wayne: Goddamnit, Eddie! What have I told you about answering the door in your birthday suit?

Eddie: I am wearing my vest!

Wayne: Put on some more clothes, boy!

#stranger things #stranger things meta #byler #byler theory #byler meta #i have a whole post on this and im too lazy to finish it #but basically #there's a small teeny weeny reference to the film romancing the stone in s4 #and this movie was directed by robert zemeckis #who if you don't know also directed back to the future #his work on romancing the stone was a big part of why back to the future got made in the first place #i learned this watching an ep of the doc-series on netflix 'the movies that made us' in an episode that was all about back to the future #but basically the lead of romancing the stone is an American romance novelist (mike wheeler)#and long story short she ends up getting rescued by some American in an orange vest with a gun in the Colombian jungle (will byers)#and since this guy in romancing the stone came BEFORE marty and from the same director... will is basically him also by default...)#(if you don't remember... s1 will's outfit was widely presumed to be inspired by marty mcfly's from back to the future #the lead was given a map as ransom to find her sister #a map that leads to 'el corazon'#aka 'the heart'#anyways maybe i'll post this analysis soon #bc there's a lot of terrifying byler parallels in this movie #im talking #blue and yellow #7 #even an upside down couch??#and i mean el corazon?? like come on

Steve looks good in vests. He kept Eddie's for as long as possible, and when he gave back to him, Eddie noticed it smelled a lot like Steve now.

"What? Did you wear this around your house when you were alone?" Eddie asked.

Steve scoffed and paused.

". . . A little. Did you want me to wash it?"

Eddie held it to chest, sniffing.

". . . No, but I do need to see see if the vest looks better on you than me," Eddie said and held it out. "Do it like before without a shirt. . . You know for science purposes. . ."

"Um, okay?" Steve asked.

He slipped out of his shirt and put on his vest.

"Yeah, you should keep it," Eddie stared at him.

"Your battle vest?!" Steve asked, putting his hands on his hips. "I feel like I'm being objectified."

"Yeah, yeah, you are," Eddie said and quickly snapped out of it. "Wait, no! You are not!"

atrocious outfit but i appreciate the crop top. correcting s4's mistakes here

#PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED PEOPLE #i think its like a two-tone jacket and the multicoloured crop top??#unless its a long sleeve crop with light blue sleeves and a dark blue vest #which makes him look like an employee at a store but whatever #and if god answers my prayers then the red around his neck COULD be a neckerchief. which is hot as hell #but i like it. camp #its just funny how everyone has outfits that more or less really match their colour themes and then they got lost with pigsy #because he's supposed to be zhu bajie (blue theme) but outside of s4 he's never even worn blue (black and white chef fit)#only exception being browns i think (s2 and s3)#which is kinda disapointing but MAYBE ill be pleasently surprised because it IS a very low quality image
