I'M ABOUT TO SAVE YOUR A$$ IF YOU'RE STRUGGLING WITH RURI TUNES
GO INTO SETTINGS AND CHANGE IT FROM LEFT/RIGHT TO UP/DOWN. THEN GO INTO A BATTLE AND ROTATE YOUR PHONE VERTICALLY SO THAT THE LINE IS ON THE BOTTOM. PLAY THAT SH*T LIKE PIANO TILES I PROMISE YOU YOUR SCORE WILL IMPROVE. IT IS WAYY EASIER.
Cutest art c0mm from @AyyaMaruu of Ruri Tunes chibi for my MC, Mikako 😍 Since she loves Jolyne so much, I figure her fight pose would imitate her favourite heroine, Jolyne 💛✨ with her little Stand (pet-familiar actually, Haruno)
Thank you so much Maruu-chan for getting everything so perfectly 😍😍
If anyone's having troubles with the Ruri rhythm game check your settings the default is left/right but you can change it to up/down so you can tap directly at the objects as they move towards the line
Idk if I prefer OM's dance battles or Nightbringer's RuriTunes.
The dance battles were easy and chill, you just needed good cards and a bit of technique.
I could do them while talking to people and in between doing irl tasks, in public with the sound off. And it didn't take a long time to finish each battle.
Ruritunes are fun but they stress me outttt. I need to be fully focused and in a quiet place with the sound high! Ugh. It is fun and I feel like I'm Levi (a gamer) lol
But yeah, I preferred the dance battles. I prefer passing chill boring battles and continue reading the story in peace. The story's what I care about. I don't enjoy "games" very much. I don't like to get stressed out/excited between each chapter by playing long ass ruritunes 😩 it takes away my focus from the story.
My energy goes ↗️↘️↗️↘️↗️↘️↗️↘️ and I don't like it.
Short of it: turn off all your graphics + prioritize performance, use up/down instead of left/right.
Even if you have a newer phone and a fast connection you may still be lagging and that can cause combo mess ups with Ruri Tunes.
ADHD + Migraine lifesavers for me too - may be helpful to some of my followers who have similar issues.
I’ve been having combo issues with RT even after mastering extreme - it was confusing because I was positive I was hitting everything on time. I kept shrugging it off as timing issues on my end but it was actually my phone and the app. I didn’t think about lag because my phone is newer.
Here’s a quick guide to how I now play:
1. Check your settings:
2. Controls:
Up/Down is still easier than right/left for me - this is a common tip but throwing it in there.
3. Graphics Setting:
The most important setting for dealing with lag!
Turn ALL the graphics off!
This also helps if you have ADHD or are easily distracted! No additional graphics or effects except for what you’re trying to hit and the characters.
No background card animations!
The animated cards trigger my migraines at times and turning everything off shuts functions like that down. There’s a lot less flashy and distracting things to throw you off!
4. Prioritize Performance:
Don’t let the “slow” full you. Everything is pretty fast on my end and this game still lags! That was what was throwing off my combos! Combining performance with turning all the graphics off helped me so much!
I would have never guessed it was lag until I started playing around with Graphics. Again, iPhone 13 + high speed connection (phone isn’t even a year old yet) and this still wasn’t enough to avoid lag.
I’m not sure what speed and phone model combination can run everything without lag so I recommend anyone having trouble with combos to try this.
