[YourName] and Roxie had met in high school, senior year.

It didn't take long but [YourName] was falling hard- and i mean so hard they were comparing their last names to see which one sounded better.

Anyway, when the two found out they were going to the same college- [YourName] had hope that somehow in someway, their friend would return the romantic feelings.

Of course [YourName] tried pulling the moves before then

But nothing worked!!

It's like every flirty remark and every nice and romantic gesture was completely ignored!

Even when they took Roxie on that private dinner after graduation, she didn't catch the hint- even when there was obvious romantic gifts too.

So when you both got to college and Roxie started ‘seeing’ Ramona, [YourName] was absolutely heartbroken.

[YourName] couldn’t tell if it was because Roxie would kick them out whenever Ramona and her wanted to have sex or if it was the fact Roxie stopped wanting to hang out as often-

But it hurt like a bitch.

So when Ramona eventually left Roxie high and dry- [YourName] saw the chance to at least gain friendship back.

Because at the end of the day, Roxie was… is? their best friend.

It took until the end of the semester, but [YourName] was wrapped around Roxie’s finger once more.

It wasn’t hard, but this time [YourName] did try to be more careful with their actions and be more quiet about their feelings.

That didn’t last long.

Eventually [YourName] got the balls to ask Roxie out

Roxie was in shock but accepted her best friend’s feelings

Then it clicked that everything that [YourName] has been doing over the last few years really was because they liked her.

Gay panic. That’s all she felt the first time she saw you

The next thing she felt was the overwhelming urge to go speak to you

She approaches with an air of complete confidence, cleverly masking the gay panic that is still very much present in her mind

She literally has to restrain herself from jumping up and yelling “YIPPEE” when you respond well to her flirting

She’s only partly successful; she still has to pump her fist and go “YEAH” when you agree to a date

Leading up to the date, she’s secretly riddled with anxiety

She’d never let it show, but ever since Ramona she’s had doubts about herself

She doesn’t think that anyone would want to date her :(

So she’s all the more baffled when the date goes well (you guys went roller skating) and you imply you’d like another

You guys go to the roller rink for a lot of your dates

Even if you’re bad at skating, Roxie just loves to show off and hold your hand while wheeling along

Actually, if you’re bad at skating, that’s even better in her eyes; she gets to hold both your hands to steady you

And you might even trip and fall, which means she can swoop in to catch you 😵‍💫

She’s very touchy, and that only amplifies when you’re officially dating

She’s always got a hand on your waist, your thigh, or around your shoulder

She prefers any one of those to hand holding, but she’ll hold your hand as a last resort

If you’re uncomfortable with PDA, she tries to dial it back, but it’s hard for her

Physical affection is just her love language, and she wants to show you how much she cares ALL THE TIME

She does need a lot of reassurance, so whether you try to jump down flights of stairs or you just hold her and tell her you love her, you’ll need to do it often

Not me getting five anon requests tonight. Good thing college has officially ended for me yesterday, because this is a whole class at this point.

That being said, if ANYONE ELSE wants to send in requests… go ahead! I know I don’t really have a specific “this is who I write for” post, but if you look at my masterlist you can pick from there lmao.

Just know since I’ve gotten FIVE just from today, I might not be able to get to them immediately. It might take a couple days.

(Also I got a request for Ken Katayanagi, and since there’s like no screen time for either of the twins in both the movie and the anime, I’m literally reading all the comics just to get that characterization… so to whoever requested it… please be patient. I will do it, eventually. P.S. I’m currently on Vol 3 of the comic and I’m literally in love with it. After this imma be a full on Scott Pilgrim expert).

ONESHOT: ROXIE RICHTER X READER ON A COZY DATE

There was silence between Roxie and Y/N as the two of them were deeply focused on their artwork. Light music played in the background and the sun shone through the window. Roxie was intensely sketching while Y/N was painting on a large canvas.

“Can I see the sketch yet?” Y/N asked, not taking their eyes off of the canvas.

“No way! It’s a surprise,” Roxie replied, also not taking her eyes off the paper. “How’s your painting coming?”

“Good… Lots of purple,” Y/N chuckled, moving out of the way so Roxie could see the entire canvas.

“What… Is it…?” Roxie asked, turning her head.

“I’m not so sure either…” Y/N replied. “A bunch of shapes, I guess. Abstract art was the vibe today.”

“It looks good! I’d put that in a museum,” Roxie smiled.

Y/N blushed. “Thanks, babe. Now can I see what you’re working on?”

“You’re so impatient! It’s still a surprise!” Roxie laughed. Y/N playfully rolled their eyes and went back to their canvas.

“I’m getting kinda hungry, you wanna get pizza after this?” They asked.

“Absolutely!” Roxie replied. “You got purple on your face.” She said, looking up at Y/N. She grabbed a napkin and wiped purple paint off of their cheek.

“Thanks,” Y/N blushed again. “What kind of pizza should we get?”

“Pepperoni! No, Hawaiian! Wait, no-” Roxie couldn’t make up her mind.

“How about plain cheese to keep it simple,” Y/N suggested.

“Good thinking,” Roxie smiled.

Y/N took a break from their canvas to eat pizza, but Roxie brought her sketch with her. She was determined to get it done before going home.

“That must be a pretty important sketch, huh?” Y/N joked.

“Hush! I’m almost done!” Roxie was deeply focused, more than ever before. “I’m just putting on the finishing touches.”

“Your pizza is gonna get cold,” Y/N pointed out.

“Aaaaaaand… Done!” Roxie announced, slamming her pencil down.

“Can I see it now?” Y/N smiled.

“Don’t laugh,” Roxie blushed. “You promise?”

“Yes, I promise.”

Roxie held up her sketch. “It’s you! Painting your shapes painting!”

“Woah, Rox! That’s… That’s so cool!” Y/N couldn’t contain their excitement. “I love it!” “I’m really glad you do,” Roxie blushed. “I was kind of scared you wouldn’t.”

“Aw,” Y/N said, pulling Roxie into a hug. “I love how thoughtful you are.” They kissed her on the cheek and fell back into the hug.

sfw. warnings: reader is gender-neutral, mild scott pilgrim vs. the world spoilers, mentions of alcohol/alcoholism, migraines, hangovers, angst, a sad wallace, etc.

author’s note: scott is my least favorite character, so expect some jabs to be thrown at him in here. anyway, sorry if this is trash or too cringeworthy. i tried my best, y’all ✌🏻

• you’ve known of wallace through a few stories your closest friend, stacey pilgrim. you mainly just listened to her rant about him stealing a few of her boyfriends.

— sadly though, wallace ended up breaking things off with other scott…and jimmy…and that other guy that he can’t remember the name of. the good thing is that scott finally moved out since he is planning on living with ramona. still…it did get a little lonely at times.

• because of how sad and isolated he felt, wallace began to drink. well, more than usual anyway. every night he could be seen lounging at his favorite bar with a generous of empty beer bottles/cans in front of him.

• it wasn’t until the fourth night of this repetitive cycle is when wallace met you: [name: y/n l/n. occupation: bartender. 24 years old and he’s never seen you until tonight which is surprising since wallace practically knows everybody.]

— right off the bat, you two hit it off right away. there was an underlying tension there but for the first few occurrences when you either bumped into wallace in the street or found him at the bar, it goes untouched & unmentioned.

• that was until wallace asked for you phone number when he is drunk. it was really sappy, but he was still nice about it. it makes you happy that wallace isn’t an angry drunk, like whatsoever. he’s just happy to be there and very sleepy. there were a few times where you had to give him over to his place because you didn’t trust him to get there on his own.

• you were always so kind to him, always treating him better than he probably deserved.

• needless to say, it didn’t take long for wallace to think of you in the highest regards. you two even started hanging out outside of the bar where you work at. if he needed something to be picked up, you’ll do it with no questions asked or you would sometimes pay for his coffee if you were out to get yourself a drink too.

— just after a few weeks of knowing you, wallace fell head over heels. and he had it bad.

• of course, he tried to suppress his feelings and tried his damn best to not make it obvious. so, what did our dear wallace do to ensure that? he started to ignore you, partially at least, and became awkward. like…scott pilgrim-level awkward. it’s weird since wallace has always been known to be the complete opposite of his ex-roommate. he’s very easy going, calm, and the voice of reason to many.

• he’s a flirt too. so, why are you having this effect on him? he just couldn’t understand why he suddenly became a bumbling idiot.

• you were worried that you did something to push wallace away, but all your questions were answered when you returned one night to find that he left a drunken message in your answering machine.

— “hey, you know, hic, i've been thinkin', like, a lot. (long pause) and, um, i just wanna say, you're, like, really somethin' special, ya know? (slight slur) i feel all mushy and stuff, but yeah, i kinda, sorta...love you, maybe? (awkward pause) yeah, that's it. hic”

[F/N]'s back was pressed against the wall, Cold sweat dripping down her body making her shirt sticky against her skin. It was so dark, So bloody dark.

Shivering, [F/N] was shivering. Eyes wide and unblinking as she stared wildly at the woman only a few feet away from her. The shine rolling off her sword gleamed light in the darkness, The same shadows that parted to let the blade through.

To point straight at her.

"R-Roxie.. I didn't mean to hurt you! I didn't lie to you it's just-"

"Shut up! Just shut up-!"

The blade lunges forward and [F/N] chokes on her words, Squeaking as she tried to squeeze herself impossibly more against the wall. Shaking, Shivering as she eyed her.

Her eyeliner ran down her cheeks, The whites of her eyes a painful pink. Blonde hair tied up into buns that looked unbrushed and unkempt.

She was crying, Though her lips were snarled. Her fingers were shaking, Yet her resolve was steady as the blade circled [F/N]'s jugular.

"..You just up and left, After everything we've done together?! How could you do this to me?!"

Roxie's voice was strained, Parched as if she hadn't drunken anything in days. [F/N] gulped, Trying not to look the beast in the face.

"R-Roxie, Please.. You need to understand-! My girlfriend's dad just died, I-I had to go see her! I know I stood you up, But I mean it when I say it wasn't pers-"

The blade against [F/N]'s throat neared closer, Only inches apart and tickled at the hairs at her jugular. [F/N] yelped, Cringing back impossibly further into the wall.

"I-I don't care that you had to see that fucking bitch- I don't care that you had to run off and see your stupid girlfriend!" Roxie roared as the sword tickled at [F/N]'s jugular, So close, So easy and ready just to slice in and draw blood.

[F/N] wept harder than she already did.

"W-Why?!"

"BECAUSE I'M SUPPOSE TO BE YOUR GIRLFRIEND!" Roxie cried, The tears running down her face multiplying, Hot and boiling as her eyeliner smudged.

[F/N]'s eyes widened.

Roxie, Her college dormmate, Was in love with her? [F/N] could only watch as Roxie's face upturned into anguish, The hand that gripped her sword shaking.

Shit.. [F/N] didn't even know that she was into girls, Let alone liked her this much, This horrible amount. But looking back now, [F/N] realised how everything made more sense.

How much Roxie loathed her girlfriend, The glares exchanged between the two. How much Roxie had always insisted on coming out with her and walking to and from class with her, It all became so much clearer.

[F/N] near choked on her own saliva, A throbbing pain in her head. Even though it was all clear, Her head was a fuzzy mess. In her stupor there was only one thing that she could truly say.

"I-I.. I'm sorry, Roxie. I just don't feel the same.."

Roxie sniffled, What hysteric expression was plastered over her face. A smile, A malicious and evil smile started to spread all over it. A smile that told you exactly how they'd rip your throat out, A smile that spoke no words but said plenty.

"T-That's fine.. Once I take that other bitch outta the picture you'll have plenty of time to learn how to love me back.."

Hi! Im good thanks for asking! I hope you're doing great! This is my first Scott pilgrim thing I have ever written so it's not gonna be that good so sorry if it's not what you imagined. I haven't written fanfiction or one shots in a while so that's another thing so sorry if it's not good. And sorry the characters are a little ooc

Trigger warnings: Someone being burnt (Mathew), makeup fun of deaf people (all of them) , random guy hitting on you (Gideon, the twins and Roxy), and mention of slicing someone (Roxy). Mentions of hunting down family members and doxing (Gideon) I do not recommend doing these actions

Mathew Patel

Being deaf isn't that easy and not being able to because of it isn't easy either. The only person who hasn't ever teased me or made fun of me for it is my boyfriend Mathew (or best friend if you wanted that).

If someone bullied me he was always there. Like this one instance that happened a month ago that happened something like this.

*Flashback to a month ago*

"Hey! HEY!" someone tried to say to me. "Helloo?" They tried to say again but I didn't answer.

They then tapped me on the shoulder. I looked at them and they looked angry. "I've been trying to get your attention for a minute. Are you deaf or something?" My boyfriend (or best friend) Mathew then came up and said "Yes she is and she doesn't want to be bothered." "Wow she is!? Some kind of freak you are!"

Mathew then brought out his demon hipster chicks and they then burnt the person bullying me into a crisp.

He then turned to me and asked in sign language "Are you okay?" I then nodded and said in sign language "Yes, thank you."

Lucas Lee

I was currently waiting for my boyfriend (or best friend) Lucas to wrap up filming a scene for his new movie and then someone came up to me and said "Hey, you waiting for someone?" I didn't reply. The person got really mad and tapped me hard on the shoulder.

"Hey I was talking to you. Are you deaf or something?" Lucas then came up to the person and said "yes she is and she can't talk either. She would also like for you to stop bothering her." He said.

"I didn't expect someone like you to date a freak like her Mr. Lee." "She is not a freak she is a person that is beautiful the way she is and she is amazing. Now go now." Lucas said.

"Y-yes Mr. Lee!" Then the person ran away. Lucas then turned to me and asked in sign language "Did he bother you?"

"Yes thank you." I replied back in sign language.

Todd ingram

I am currently waiting backstage for my boyfriend (or best friend) Todd to finish his show with his band.

"Hey, do you have a pass?" Someone I asked but I didn't answer. "Hey! I asked you a question." "Yes she does have a pass and she's deaf and can't hear you." My boyfriend (or best friend) said.

"Wow she's deaf!? What a freakazoid." Todd then used his vegan powers to levitate the guy bullying me and threw him.

"Are you okay?" Todd asked in sign language. "Yeah" I replied back in sign language.

Roxy Richter

I'm currently waiting for my girlfriend (or best friend) Roxy to get back with our food order when suddenly a guy came up to me.

"Hey cutie, you come here often?" He asked but i didn't answer. "Hey! I'm talking to you!" He said again.

"Hey! Stop bothering her!" Roxy tells the guy. "Who are you? Her girlfriend?" He asked. "Maybe! Also she's deaf so she can't hear you!" Roxy says

"She's deaf!? Wow what a freak and a loser.". Roxy then pulls out her swords "if you don't leave her alone I won't hesitate to slice you into bits." She says to the guy.

"Jeez, okay." The guy says then leaves. "You okay?" Roxy asks me in sign language. "Yeah thank you for dealing with him." I reply back to her in sign language.

Katayangi twins

Me and my friends Kyle and Ken are currently at a restaurant. Kyle and Ken are getting the food while I was just waiting.

Someone then comes up to me and says "Hey my friend over there thinks you're cute."

I didn't answer. "Hey I'm talking to you. You deaf or something." They said.

"She is deaf and she also can't speak. She would also appreciate it if you stopped bothering her." Kyle said.

Ken then came up and said with a glare "if you don't we will take it into our own hands."

"okay fine jeez. I don't know why you would defend a freak like her." Kyle then punches the guy talking to me and Ken took me.

"are you okay?" Ken asked in sign language. I then nod.

Im currently waiting for my boyfriend (or best friend) Gideon to come back with our food when a guy comes up to me and taps my shoulder.

I look up at him and he asks "hey you come here often?"I look at him confused. "Hey you deaf or something?" "Yes she is and now leave her alone" Gideon says.

"yeah? What are you gonna do if I don't?" The guy asks.

"I will track down all of your family members and find out everything about you and expose it." Gideon says

The guy then gets scared and runs away. "Works every time." He then asks in sign language "are you okay?" "Yeah I'm fine" I reply back in sign language.

SUMMARY: Roxanne, the only child of the distinguished Count Richter, was in search of a suitable husband to marry into her family. Diluc, the untouchable duke of the Ragnvindr family, was far from interested in finding a lady to be his duchess. Both parties decided to form a mutually-beneficial contract: they will pretend to court the other in the eyes of Mond. Roxanne will attract more suitors to call upon her, and Diluc would be free from meddlesome mothers pushing their daughters onto him and a particular suitor from trying to get into his good graces. Spring marked the start of start of various occasions — the blossoming of sakura flowers in Inazuma, the beginnings of Lantern Rite in Liyue, and of course, the upcoming Queen's Ball in Mondstadt.

Every spring, Her Imperial Majesty Queen Victoria would host a grand ball in the palace for all young maidens who were to turn eighteen that year to debut into high society. All debutantes would present themselves in front of the queen in their best attire and best manners, and one blessed lady would be picked by the queen to be the season's Diamond — an approving nod from the queen and would ultimately garner her the most potential gentlemen to be her husband-to-be. Frantic mothers would call upon tailors to order the latest design of gowns, praying to Barbatos that their daughter would be picked as the season's diamond. Young ladies would be going on diets to maintain a slim figure in hopes of impressing the queen and being given the honour of being the season's Diamond. Eligible bachelors would start discussing what the new season's debutantes would be like: How beautiful were they? How well-educated were they? Who were the ladies from influential families? And most importantly, who would be this season's Diamond?

Roxanne was no different. Roxanne, the only daughter of the count of House Richter (the apple of her father's eye to boot), was among the debutantes of the season. Diets, light exercise, she tried them all. As all of high society's eyes were zeroed in on her, she believed she was to be the pinnacle of perfection, the epitome of what a perfect noble lady should be like. Tailors were called in, jewelers were called in — no expense was spared to get only the finest that Mondstadt had to offer.

"Roxie, are you sure you're doing alright?" her father had once asked, watching her in concern as she once held onto her father's bicep while walking down the hallway of the mansion together, "You don't have to push yourself this hard."

"I'm quite alright, Father," she said, accompanied with a weak but determined smile, "I have to do this much to ensure that only the best man would marry into our family."

The count's lips twisted to the side as he looked at his daughter carefully. Light blonde hair framing her pale skin, with tired blue eyes gazing back at him. Her arms were so thin and she looked so frail to the point that he was afraid she would collapse there and then.

"You have to do this in moderation, Roxie," he said softly, a bittersweet smile tugging at his lips, "I can't have my daughter leave me this soon, can I?"

"Of course not, Father," Roxanne said as she squeezed his arm gently in affirmation, shaking her head, "I would never leave you."

And so came the day of the Queen's Ball — maids were gathered in Roxanne's room the moment dawn broke, preparing her as thoroughly as possible: washing her face gently with rose water, applying makeup, putting the corset onto her body ("As tight as you can, if you would please," Roxanne had requested) as well as the gown, dolling her up, and putting the accessories onto her.

She descended the flight of stairs to meet her anticipating father by the foot of them. His eyes brightened when he saw his daughter dressed to the nines — light blonde hair tied into a bun with some curls framing her face, effortless-looking makeup, small diamond earrings hanging from her ears, and wearing a ballgown with less volume so as to not scream for attention in the ballroom later on. His eyes fell onto her neck — she was wearing one of her late mother's necklaces: a simple diamond necklace with its jewels arranged in the shape of flowers.

"You look beautiful, Roxie," her father said with a gentle smile as he reached a hand out for her.

"Thank you, Father," she returned his smile and accepted his outstretched hand, "Shall we go to the ball now?"

Every debutante was traditionally accompanied by their mother before being announced by the page boy. However, since Roxanne's mother had passed away when she was very young, she was presently without a chaperone and would be debuting without her mother by her side.

As she stood behind the imposing doors, Roxanne fiddled with her hands as she straightened her spine. Time seemed to stall as the young ladies who stood ahead of her in the little queue entered the grand ballroom accompanied by their worried mothers who had plastered gracious smiles onto their faces the moment those doors opened. One maiden after another entered the hall... and then Roxanne found herself standing before those doors.

"Presenting Lady Roxanne of the House of Richter."

The doors opened slowly, and Roxanne could see a clear path leading up to Her Majesty herself, lined by mothers and daughters watching her every move with hawk-like eyes.

She sucked a breath in, Do not be nervous. Carry yourself with grace. You carry the blood of the House of Richter.

Roxanne ignored the stares of mothers from other houses and their nervous daughters as she walked up to the queen, keeping her chin high and parallel to the floor and her back perfectly straight. Once she was standing before the queen, she dropped her knees into a deep curtsey as she smiled, "I greet the elegant moon of Mondstadt, your Imperial Majesty the Queen."

"Be at ease," the queen said, and Roxanne slowly rose to her feet, meeting the queen's unreadable gaze. The queen was known to have the most unreadable face known to high society, masking her true intentions behind placid expressions.

Be confident, Roxanne told herself as she finally stood straight, maintaining a graceful smile on her face.

After a brief moment of silence, the corner of the queen's lips quirked upwards as she rose from her seat. All eyes were focused on the queen as she finally stood straight and continued to maintain her eye contact with Roxanne. The air was so thick with tension that you could slice it neatly with a simple kitchen knife.

"I will now announce this season's Diamond," she said, a full smile spreading across her face — starting from the corners of her lips.

Ripples of murmurs spread throughout the ballroom as anxious mothers tugged on their daughters' arms, uttering their final prayers to Barbatos for their own daughter to be picked. Being the Diamond would certainly bring in proposals from eligible bachelors and would widen the pool of men available for their daughters to select from.

"This season's Diamond is..."

Roxanne held her breath. Would all her efforts thus far finally pay off? Would she be able to bring glory to her family? Everything was hinging on this very moment and she kept her gaze zeroed onto the queen. All her hopes were now in the palm of the queen's hand.

The queen beamed, akin to a ray of acknowledgement shining directly onto Roxanne's frame as she announced her verdict, "Lady Roxanne."
