Interviewer:How’s it feel to be back on screen after so long.
Ozpin:Pretty shocked if I’m being honest, but in a good way. I got so used to cozy pjs and being a voice. Roman walks over and goes “We’ll shoot your scene tomorrow.” I look around and go “pardon?” and he nods. Just goes “yeah you and your son shoot tomorrow.
Oscar:He’s downplaying his excitement.
Interview:Were you excited?
Oscar:I read what my scene was and had to double check if my contract had expired.
Ruby:Thought it was your last episode?
Oscar:Yes! You literally came up to me and said “ready for me to kill you?” Keep in mind, we don’t film everything in order. Luckily I finally got briefed.
Ruby:It felt appropriate because Ozpin looked at me with pure joy and and said “Finally I get to fight you.”

Director:Alright Neo, you’re just getting from the crash and you are seething. And… Action.
Neo:*stands up*….FUCK!
Director:Cut! Neo!!
Neo:I know! I know! *snickers* Could you imagine though?

Weiss:*throws fake rock*
Another prop rock comes in off screen and misses her completely, hitting Blake.
Blake:Oh shi-
Weiss:…*turns around* Nora, how?
Nora:*covering face* I don’t know how I missed.
Blake:You curved ball a rubber rock. I’m not even hurt; only impressed.

Jaune:You did well JNPR. *slowly lefts helm-
Helmet gets stuck.
Jaune:…*keeps helmet on, nods, walks away*
Ruby and Yang: *wheezing*

Weiss:Did it snag the beard?
Jaune:A hundred percent!!

Jaune:*removes helmet*…..I just yanked out some beard hair I’m sorry. *eyes watering*
Coco: *off screen* Let me trim it down just a little!!!

Ruby:When they told this volume would have a focus on Ruby’s crumbling emotional state I was excited. I barely get to play with negative emotions often so I was ready! However, I was not prepared for Jaune to have to grow out his hair.
Jaune:Hahaha!
Ruby:Do you understand how hard it is to maintain sad vibes when in rehearsal this guy is walking around in a man bun!?
Interviewer:So the hair was all real?
Jaune:Yeah I originally got a call from Adam who asked if I knew anyone who could pull off an older version of myself. Instantly I went to my dad, however, I did not know at the time my character would be old for the majority of the volume. Love my dad, but he can’t fake act through a volume. Second best option was growing out my hair and hitting the gym.
Adam:We basically shot all of his scenes when he was young at once so long ago at this point. Then during vacation and all that in between volumes this man was obligated to not cut his hair as much as possible. My sister, Coco, did practical makeup to add age as well.
Jaune:Never again.
Interviewer:Fans like the look!
Jaune:Oh I get it. It’s the mainly the beard I wouldn’t want again. All the lights are fire scenes were soooo hot! I was dying!

Blake:You named them after your team?
Jaune:No. I named them after everyone.
Everyone looks at where the paper pleaser would be.
Paper Pleaser:Hello. I am the one they call Jessica.
Ruby:Jessi- You met her once! Ya gotta let go!
Jaune:I can’t! 😢

Nora:Get a load of this. *turns camera*
Penny and Oscar:* sharing food*
Nora:They’re like magnets to each other I swear.

Blake:*sips coffee* Get this, today is the big day. The amazing crew has built a simple rope bridge only a couple feet off the ground. Yang is currently finding the courage to stand on it.
Yang:LISTEN! Rope bridges are scary!
Weiss:You aren’t actually high in the sky!
Yang:Rickety bridges strew me out.
Ruby:Should’ve confessed sooner.
Weiss:Imagine getting confessed to because that person is avoiding a fear? The instant they get on the bridge Yang folds.
Ruby:The true love was the solid ground we had along the way.

Interviewer: Let’s talk about the kiss! How’d that go?
Blake:*deflates* I have a complicated relationship with that scene for two reasons! One is you, Yang.
Yang:I may have tripped or had to fix my hair because the wind was aggressive! Your beef isn’t with me, it’s the weather!
Blake:She’s right. It came out perfectly, the shot. However, that’s a real sunset. It took so many days for the weather to be good enough! The two of us are trying to stay warm while look at each other lovingly.
Yang:Meanwhile she’s shooting daggers into my soul going “I’m begging you to get this right. I am cold.” Sometimes you sneezed.
Blake:I wanted to cry. Bright side, I got to kiss this lovely lady finally.
Yang:D’aaaww
Interviewer:Speaking of that, Yang, your character onset and yourself offset would probably have some interesting words to each other given…
A picture is pulled up on a screen that makes Blake laugh while Yang blush, giving an embarrassing smile. It’s a picture from her social media where she’s on Adam’s shoulders at the beach.
Yang:W-What can I say? I’m winning at life.

Pyrrha:*getting dressed* Hmm Hmm Hmm 🎶
Weiss:Someone is happy to be back.
Pyrrha:It’s pretty funny how every three volumes I come back to serve trauma and leave. Honestly make me the villain at this point.
Penny:Today is beat Ruby day. *thumbs up*
James: A glorious day indeed.
Ruby:Sometimes I feel like my friends and coworkers aren’t telling me something about themselves. Everyone is a little too enthusiastic.
Neo:*stretching*
Weiss:For those who don’t know, Neo over here does most of Ruby’s stunts, but now she’s pulling double duty again.
Neo:I love how there’s a narrative that my character is this brilliant fighter. In truth, most times I’m told to fight Ruby I let them know ahead of time one of us better be losing badly.
Ruby:I’ve gotten better at complex choreography!
Neo:And I’m very proud of you. *pats head* prepare to be tossed around like a rag doll.

Today's Hidden Gem
Taking a wander through the National Museum today, I nearly walked past this cute lil' carving of an Ox!
This wee beauty hails from East Lomond Hill, and dates to c.AD 500-800. Carved into (I believe) a rough block of sandstone is the ox, with clearly defined leg muscles, ears and tail!
Oxen were domesticated and utilised by farmers to move heavy loads and plough fields.

A bunch of Gyftmas times
Roman was so excited! She was finally able to convince all of her alternate versions and alternate Shadows to spend Gyftmas together.
Roman had all the gifts, her void was decorated, nothing can go wrong!
The first to arrive was FarmRoman(Crop) and FarmShadow(Cluck), Roman came up with the nicknames everyone needed. The two prepared food for Gyftmas, Roman always knew she was a good cook!
As they set the table with the food another lot arrived that being SwapShadow(Swapy) and SwapRoman(Grey).
"SWAPY!" Roman yelled as she hugged Swapy tightly, he giggled as he hugged Roman back "Roman, thanks for the invite" he replied, Grey smiled as she watched the two talk. Guess she was to greet visitors now.
She looked over when she heard the sound of a portal and instantly got annoyed. It was FellRoman(Boss lady) and FellShadow(Mutt). "Hello" Grey greeted, Boss lady groaned "I'm only here for the food, I could care less about this...Gyftmas crap" she said.
Grey smirked "good, was worried I was dealing with a different Roman for a moment" she teased. Boss lady growled "I'm also here because I heard we are going to have a fight" she replied.
Grey blinked confused "that wasn't in our invite" she said, before Boss lady could reply the portal opened and out zoomed a blaster.
"Ah Horror careful" a small girl said, she had dirty pink hair and torn clothes "oh, uh...HorrorJoyce?" Grey asked. HorrorJoyce looked toward Grey and nodded "y-yes" she replied.
"Ah so-" "A blaster would be a great first fight" Boss lady said interrupting Grey, Boss lady ran for HorrorBlasterRoman(Horror).
"Ah, f-fight? Wait um please!" HorrorJoyce said running after Boss lady. Mutt and Grey stared at each other "I'm gonna get some food" Mutt said as he floated off.
Grey let out a sigh and then another portal opened and out walked a very tall skeleton "holy damn" Grey yelped out. PirateRoman(Captain) lifted up her hands "ah...S-Sorry matey, didn' mean to scare ye" she said. Grey let out a sigh "I-I need a break...Can you greet others when they come?" She asked, Captain smiled "aye lass, they'll get a pirate's greeting!" She replied.
Grey walked off needing a break from too much stimulation, a portal opened and Captain spun around "welcome matey!" She greeted. OuterRoman(Star) and OuterShadow(Galaxy) stared up at Captain "woah, I've never seen anyone as tall as you before" Star said, hopping excitedly but frowned when she realised gravity existed here.
"Aww...I can't float" She said, Galaxy smiled and lifted her up "better?" He asked, Star giggled then gasped "SWAPY, ROMAN!" She yelled, Galaxy floated toward where Star wanted to go.
Captain smiled and waited, the portal opened again, not just one however, it was three. InkRoman(Artist) came out of one portal, ErrorRoman(Glitchy) from the next and ErrorShadow(Crash) from the last "hey matey's!" Captain greeted.
Artist smiled widely at Captain "hi there, let's move away from here incase these two start a fight" she said dragging Captain away.
Glitchy and Crash glare at each other "W-Wh-h-hat are yo-o-ou doing here?" Glitchy asked harshly, Crash huffed "j-juss-st want to-o-o enjoy the par-r-rty" he replied.
The two didn't notice that a portal opened behind them before a voice spoke up "oh my, are you two connecting?" Glitchy and Crash spun around spotting PerfectKidRoman(Perfection) there.
Glitchy and Crash both quickly backed away from her despite her small size "oh? I'm sorry for interrupting" Perfection said with a smile.
Glitchy gagged "I'm gett-tt-ing away from this f-freak" she said walking away, Crash followed.
Roman only just returned and her eyes widened seeing Perfection "I didn't invite you" she said, Perfection giggled "oh I know, but this IS a Roman and Shadow party...Right?" She asked.
Roman nodded, Perfection giggled again "listen, how about I promise not to steal any traits unless someone willingly plays my game" she offered, holding out her hand.
Roman stared hard "not shaking your hand but okay...Oh no that means-" She said before a very colourful portal opened up and out came FreshRoman(Fresh).
Roman ran away quickly, Perfection stared at Fresh "not cool brah...No one greeting me" she muttered, Perfection smirked and held out her hand to Fresh "I'll greet you friend" she said.
Fresh shook Perfection's hand, the two walking away, Perfection couldn't WAIT to take this one's trait, Fresh couldn't wait to see how this one reacts to their real selves.
Another portal opens and AngelRoman(Perseverance) came flying out with her brother ReaperShadow(Erebus) following behind "finally a break from our responsibilities" Perseverance said, another portal opened up as DreamRoman(Hope) and NightmareShadow(Guilt) came out "oh hey, you here for the break from responsibilities too?" Guild asks, Perseverance nodded "yes we are!" She replied with a laugh as the four walked off to go mingle.
This was a Gyftmas no one would forget.

I'm listening to the last podcast on the left episode on la llorona and they've gotten into the mesoamerican mythos and history behind the story and I keep wincing because they keep getting shit wrong
#like im no academic#but i have an interest in aztec culture and history#and like not even the nahuatl pronunciations#the very broad strokes are correct but the nuance and detail theyre trying to add is all wrong#stop trying to rehabilitate the Aztec empire by downplaying the violence of their society#and calling it adding nuance and complexity and actually add nuance abd complexity#the aztec empire was an EMPIRE with all the incredible violence that implied#they werent helpless victims#they were an extremely powerful empire that subjugated surrounding cultures through incredible violence#just like the fucking romans#and the aztecs maintained social control over their subjects through human sacrifice#of whom we literally have the thousands of remains#did they deserve the genocide and centurieof subjugation the spanish did to them?#NO!#no one deserves the horrors of colonization#they also incredibly detailed astronomical knowledge#an incredibly complex calendar and religion#incredible feats of agricultural engineering through canals and chinampas and actual running water#a society where land was held abd farmed in common#complex weaving and dying crafts#and a MASSIVE trade network that stretched from the great lakes to the andes#the bloody and horrific human sacrifice was just a part#just like colonization and antisemitism and violence are part of the catholic church#they can commit incredible acts of violence and also create incredible things worth preserving#like the Catholic church#and thats not even touching on how a people are not their state and a state is not a people group#im just .... i saw people on tiktok saying the aztecs didn't practice human sacrifice a couple years ago#and i haventbeen the same since#maybe ill make a post about all this some day#my posts
